Happy New Year Lovelies!

Well, happier for some than for others, it seems. Eagan Connolly is raising quite the fuss about the disappearance of someone named Will Monroe—details are light on who exactly Will is but apparently he's known to some as a local prostitute. If you see her hobbling around, maybe keep a wide berth, since they’ve been heard muttering to themselves in public. If it was something worth worrying about, the police or Mayor Nat herself would have informed us, of course.

We have multiple witnesses having seen what looked like a very upset Christopher Winters and a very concerned Jim Dunford in town the other day. They were arguing about what sounded like a cheeky New Years Eve kiss that they shared. Jim seemed to be trying to placate Christopher, who was not having it, shoving the man away and stalking off. No news yet as to whether Emma Dunford is aware of this. For all we know, this might be her way of having her cake and eating it too. Christopher and Emma are also expecting a child, which begs the question, is now really the time to try something new?

Speaking of their upcoming adoption, the baby’s birth mother has also been on her own romantic adventure. Josie Reigh and Gabriel Westfall are official, at least if the people overhearing her referring to him as her boyfriend are to be believed. The two seem to be quite happy with each other. Alas, not everyone seems to be as over the moon as they are. Nico Garcia stills seems hung up over Miss Reigh, which is no surprise, since he always was the more sensitive brother. He has repeatedly been seen intoxicated at the Sasquatch and was even heard propositioning one of their bartenders. One lucky contender who took him up on the offer is Jessica Sinclair. That girl's taste has always been questionable—but perhaps this is the one who will break her streak of heartbreak?

The younger Garcia brother isn't the only one moping and drinking his sorrows away at the bar. Theodore Collins has become the latest member of the lonely hearts club. Many have remarked he's been overly temperamental at work with some adding in that he and Kirby have officially called it quits. However, seems they're both quick to move on. Theodore was spotted hitting on Morgan Vovk, who took him home "as a friend"—you can take that as you will. Meanwhile, Kirby has been seen multiple times leaving the drive-in with Edward Langston. Now, sonsidering he should be focused on helping raise his goddaughter, you would think he'd reconsider his priorities. Kirby is fun but they're hardly the person you'd want around when you're trying to be responsible.

He was that kid that got buried alive when I was a freshman I think...?" she was rambling now "He's....so sweet Lach. Just an angel I think you're going to like him a lot..." She nodded.

BIOGRAPHY

NAME: Esther Constance Westfall

AGE: 29 [Born July 8th]

OCCUPATION: Stock Worker at O'Connor's Outdoors

GENDER/PRONOUNS: Non-binary; they/them (but isn't bothered if someone uses she/her)

SEXUALITY: Pansexual, but hates most people

QUIRKS: Is extremely quiet and reserved, unless you piss them off. Tries to avoid all small talk if they can. Dresses like they rolled out of bed and grabbed whatever was on the floor, which is probably what happened. When they're not at the church they spends most of their free time watching movies, catching up on what they were not allowed to experience growing up.

Esther never considered themself lonely growing up. Through their family's religious expectations they were a caregiver, a homemaker, and their life centered around caring for their little brother Gabriel. They didn't need friends, or anyone else in this Godless town, so long as they had their baby brother. Their parents were harsh, but fair...though maybe sometimes too harsh. It was the two of them against the world.

As teens, Esther tried to keep their brother away from those Heathens. Knew he was better than all of them, that they only wanted to hurt him. They tried to warn him to not go to that party, and they wish they had pushed harder, forced him to stay. Gabriel wasn't the same after that. He wasn't their little brother anymore.

Esther tried. They really did. How was it so hard for him to understand that he was Gabriel? Gabe? Their little brother? Clearly he wasn't dead. He was right in front of them, breathing. Why couldn't he get it through his thick skull? Why was he refusing to listen to reason? All the screaming, all the fights, Esther began to think he just wanted attention. That the party turned bad and he couldn't accept that they were right.

A large portion of the responsibility to take care of Gabriel after his "incident" fell on Esther. The stress, the frustrations pilled up quickly. They ended up hurting Gabriel just as much as he hurt them, emotionally, physically. Resentment began to fester.

When their parents died, Esther knew Gabriel did it on purpose. He committed the ultimate sin. He killed them. Between this and the growing difficulty of taking care of their selfish brother that just refused to grow up and stop playing his stupid joke, they eventually snapped. They had enough. Esther kicked Gabriel out of the house, denouncing him as their brother. If he wanted to tell everyone he was dead then fine. He was dead to them. They had no brother.

For a year they holed themself up in their family home. Barely refusing to leave except for food and basic necessities. Esther had no one and that was fine. They didn't need anyone. Still, after a year, even they could admit that shutting everything out wasn't the answer.

Slowly, Esther began to reintegrate back into town. At only 19, they didn't really know what to do with their life. The outdoor shop was hiring, and the job seemed easy enough. When they saw other people going into the local church, they hesitated. The only thing that kept them strong over the last year was their faith, and even that felt broken, wavering. Their parents always hated on the local religious communities, and Esther embraced that dogma, but they couldn't go to their old church. They had nowhere else to go.

The person who stood in front of the congregation was bizarre, went against everything their faith and parents bore into them, and yet Esther was entranced. It wasn't love, it would never be love. But something about the priest called to them, made them feel like maybe there was still something in this God forsaken town to hold on to.

In time, Esther began to deconstruct the dogma forced into them, but still, outside of the church they were very much alone. Seeing Gabriel in town, thriving, hurt. It only further proved that he had been lying, pretending to be someone he wasn't. Hurt their bond for no reason other than because he could. Hatred brewed in their heart.

Their relationship with the priest was one that was difficult to label. Companionship maybe. Not quite friendship but not nothing either. They slept together often, even talked, though never of each other's past for varying reasons. They were not lovers, and Esther was fine with that, preferred it even. Why would anyone love them? The only person that ever claimed to love them lied and hurt them deeper than anything their parents could have ever done. Absinthe was a distraction, a means to not be so alone anymore.

It wasn't long before Esther found out they were pregnant. They shook and sobbed at the little plus sign on the test, wondering why God would be so cruel to them. They knew they could not, should not ever be a mother. They could not take care of their brother, their love wasn't enough for him, so how could it ever be enough for a child? Desperate, they consulted the library and asked around town. It lead her to the town's treasured Buttons. They had never interacted before that day, yet the older woman's demeanor was cold, off. Esther didn't care. They only wanted help. They prayed the teas would do as were promised.

Their prayers were answered, and unless anyone read too deeply about their questioning, their purchased pregnancy test, only O'Grady knew their little secret. And that was for the best. No one needed to know. To know that they were a failure. That they were raised to be a caregiver and mother, and deep down Esther knew they was too broken to ever be that. That that was never something in their future.

After that day, they turned to pills to help numb themself. Anything they could get her hands on, so long as Esther could get out of their head. They continued to crumble, while Gabriel was happy and healthy and it was unfair. It was so unfair.

THE GHOULISH: GABRIEL "G" WESTFALL

Fractal, how the pattern repeats itself. Its smallest details repeat indefinite- I hear a voice from an empty room make small talk.

"I'm Gabriel Westfall. Most people just call me G, anymore. I'm 27 years old and I grew up here in Huntsville. Growing up, I wanted to be a horror novelist, but I work as a Cashier at the Food Market, now. I've been an orphan since I was sixteen, and according to my single visit to a therapist... ever- I suffer from Cotard's Syndrome. I've spent the past 12 years grappling with the fact- though some would call it a belief- that I am dead, and one of the ghosts that haunts the woods around Huntsville- I'm simply too capable at mimicry, and can't work out how to get home. I don't spend much time around the commune, as most people give me a wide berth. My fatal flaw has always been my upset that I never got to leave Huntsville often leading to outbursts and the fact my view of the self is so skewed I'm sometimes a danger to myself and others."

Personality: Gabe is a quick witted, socially awkward young man, with a tendency to come across as a know-it-all. He's confident despite his strangeness, brave to a fault, due to his belief he's already dead and some kind of monstrous creature, he's got a tendency to charge into things headlong without thinking them through, often ending with an injury of two. Despite his strangeness, he's a loyal friend and doggedly reliable companion, having at least accepted within the frame of his delusions that the people around him would be killed if he did something stupid, he's relatively harmless, now. He has a tendency to flash to anger relatively quick, however, if treated like he's stupid, or given pushback on his delusional thinking- the opposite is also true, far more personable, if people are willing to operate within the thoughts he holds to be true, and due to his loyal nature- this could cause issue, in the future.

Occupation: Cashier at Food Market, aspiring author, scavenger and forager when given the free time to seek things out for trade.

Affiliations: No known affiliations outside the Westfalls, and the Cho family.

Scent Profile: The sickly sweet smell of tilled earth and blood, tattoo ink and dusty silk flowers. The comforting, musty smell of an old book and pencil graphite. there's something oddly chemical that clings as well, like house paint or leatherworking supplies.

Aesthetic: Too many hours spent under the awning of mausoleums, the sun setting high overhead and the stars starting to leak through, thousands of cosmic eyes watching pen across paper. Denim jackets and long hair, tattoos and other displays of threat, to engage distance between you and the living. The lid of a pine box kicked shut over the face of someone far too young- screams until your throat's raw that you're alive, you're alive- until some part of you beneath the desperate clawing at the lid believes the laughing high above. Bugs eating away at something still too alive, no funeral or stone for a boy who never died. Blood in teeth, blood in claws, maybe not dead, but maybe not human. something off. something wrong. Something cosmically strange. Something worth burying in the woods all too young, like you have been.

The fear has to stem from something! The horde I can hear from my couch, wanting eyes on them. Significance. Just take it and go away....

CHAPTER ONE: LIFE IN HUNTSVILLE POST PARADOX

While Gabe's mental health seems only to have deteriorated in the past 11 years- the treatment for his comorbid disorders medicine he simply has no access to- He's managed, through the help of his scant few friends, to integrate into town safely with only minimal difficulty, in the event the ghosts haunting the town or G's ultimate fate is brought up. It's fact enough that he's started going by "G" since his 'death', no longer entirely identifying with the name "Gabe" or "Gabriel" as he believes that boy died at 15, in a shallow grave, in a pine box in the woods. He remembers the location, and has created a makeshift memorial- taking his days off to sit beside his 'grave' and smoke, pick dirt from beneath his nails, and write, as he always has.

He, much like the ghost he believes himself to be, drifts from point to point, days spent at work or in the woods, in the graveyard, and then back to the Cho home- to lock himself in his bedroom for the course of the night, the person who trusts him the least in town surely himself. There is avoidance- of the sister who saved him, of the classmates still living who made him this way, of the church and the commune and the lingering conviction that he is a stranger here, wrong among the living, something rotting and hosting bugs and stench. He wants to make connections, but knows better than to think most would want him around. The bones tattooed on his fingers and arms wound with funerary flowers. His body a eulogy to a life he never even allowed himself to live, 12 years a corpse, only 15 a boy.

In the wake of many deaths, G has, perhaps inversely- made the move to be more personable, spending his time writing in the library, instead of out beneath the great tree that had once served as his burial site, chewing his nails to the quick. He pretends he can't hear the whispering. It's almost funny, he thinks. That in a town wrapped with fear, with murder and death painting it's streets- that some still find the time to think he's strange.

Hello lovelies,

First off, I’d like to thank everyone who has volunteered to help with the reconstruction efforts in town. It is in times like these that we get to see the town coming together as one and make the best of things. Sadly, it appears that even in the face of tragedy, the reporting never stops—you all have been quite busy sending information my way to sort through. 

We all are very much aware about Miss Josie Reigh’s antics at the last town event, causing the Garcia brothers to come to blows over her, with my sources telling me that the two have just now become on speaking terms again. It must have been quite rough on the oldest considering he’s about to become a father of what I hear is quite the bunch of babies. For a moment, I was convinced that he had knocked two women up, until Miss Reigh very publicly declared who the father of her child actually is. A warning to the masses: if you decide to go home with Mercy Wainwright, you should know that he may be lying about his sterility, if Miss Reigh’s literal slap to the face is to be believed. Thankfully, it seems her new boytoy was able to reign her in. Her taste in men may be questionable, to say the least, but Gabriel Westfall seems harmless enough. At least the baby is going to the lovely Chris and Emma Winters, which is a much more stable home environment, considering how much family they now have to help support them.

Moving on to another frequent flier in our column, Jessica Sinclair has reportedly set her sights on yet another man, repeatedly spotted being quite cozy with Jerico Leeds. However, it seems the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree considering she appears to have more of her parents’ adulterous ways in her than she likes to advertise. We all know that the eyes of young men have a tendency to wander when a pretty face is involved, but I don’t think that Bellaluna Darling will be too happy with how you seem to be trying to place yourself directly in her man’s line of sight. Jessie, sweetie, he may be nice, but you of all people should know better than to try to steal another girl’s boyfriend.

Not to insinuate that the menfolk are the only ones capable of infidelity, which is a lesson that Hunter Hilton seems to have learned the hard way after only weeks of declaring Valeria Moreno as his girlfriend. The two were spotted at the festival holding hands only to end up arguing about her other bedroom partners which, as we have previously reported, are both varied and plentiful. No official news of a breakup has been reported, but he was seen storming off after their dispute which I can only assume means the two just weren’t meant to be. Especially since we do have reports that Miss Moreno has upgraded one of her other conquests to the role of boyfriend. Congratulations to Cain Barlowe for locking down quite the popular young lady.

However, I did have my doubts that Mr. Hilton and Miss Moreno were even an item to begin with. Word on the street is that the actual heartbreak to report is between him and one Guillermo Reyes. Sadly, Mr. Reyes doesn’t seem to have changed much since high school. Allegedly, he’s dating Eagan Connolly, but based on what the crowd saw Mr. Hilton and Mr. Reyes had quite the explosive breakup at the festival. Apparently, the name Liam Jefferson came up more than once, so it looks like Mr. Hilton just can’t move past that rejection. Although I do have to side with him in this instance. If my boyfriend punched me in public, I would also tell him to fuck off and snap at him that we’re done.

Now, if you think that relationship drama is a young person’s game, I would beg to differ on behalf of our older residents. I was volunteering as usual at the resident home and was told about quite the tiff between Claire Forbes and Phoenix Romero-Sawyer. It seems their friendship ended due to the former’s unreturned feelings for the latter. However, I do think we might need to have our residents' eyes checked, because the Romero that Miss Forbes has been seen with as of late is not our fire captain, but our game warden Mallard Romero. Miss Forbes is teaching us a valuable lesson here: if you can’t have the one that you want, you can always settle for someone who looks just like them.

In lighter news, congratulations are in order to Antonio Estrada Jr and Mylene Karimi! It looks like all that was needed for these two to run off into the sunset together was to leave the Commune, and so we wish them the best in their engagement, and that they continue to enjoy their newfound freedom. They sure do look a lot happier than Sandra Quispe. The poor thing seems so stressed despite the new help around the house.

Finally, while things in Huntsville can never go as expected, I’m sure none of us expected to see movie star Joey Albright step into our small town. The man hardly looks a day over 35, and it appears the reason for his arrival is none other than our very own Hope MacGillivray. Let us all celebrate another happy couple enjoying their engagement. Although the two may want to avoid the local police department if they want to stay happy and engaged.

Lovelies, with all the tragedy in our town, it really is great to see so much love going around. Good luck again to all who are helping with reconstruction efforts and try not to give the Reyes Ortega twins too much trouble. They really are doing the best that they can in that family.

Josie needed something to keep her mind occupied with the events that had happened. Not to mention she was growing in size and that alone was enough to send her spiraling. She instead decided to focus on what G had said: 'I don't clean it up much, anymore......Gabriel doesn't deserve to be forgotten, and I- well, I guess I'm the only guy who gave a shit- I'm stuck in our body, after all.'

So she got to work, It would have taken her less time if she wasn't pregnant but she was happy with the work she had done. it was already an improvement. You could actually see the name on the marker now, you could leave flowers, she could see someone sitting here and spending time with him. She felt a tear slip from her eye. It hurt a little to think that G had been in this grave at some point alive. And he thought he still hadn't survived. She whipped it away and went back to what she was doing. Going to get the flowers she was told were his favorite and setting them down. She took a step back and looked at the grave sight momentary. She heard footstep behind her and she froze putting her hands up. "I promise I'm not breaking anything...or grave robbing. I'm just.... helping someone out who is....really important to me..." she didn't want to move but she wanted to see who it was. She so slowly turned her cheeks went red at the side of him. Putting her hands down. "Y-you're not mad are you? You just had said you felt bad that you didn't have time...and I-" She felt her self rambling her heart pounding out of her chest "I wanted to leave some flowers...and then when I noticed how bad it was I couldn't just leave it here...like this." she explained. Her panic had set in.

"Did you choose Silas, or are you afflicted with him like any insufferable older brother? Because I'm not sure sometimes if the recovery date was being looked forward to because it was when we could have sex again, or when you could jump Cyan outside of the Romero place." He teases with a laugh, sighing as she pushes the ashtray toward him. "You know I don't like smoking in the house..." It doesn't stop him, as he lights up and takes a long drag, white smoke coiling from his nose slowly as she smacks his upper chest. "Well we're going to be tired anyway! The specifics about which part of the unpacking process is the reason we're tired is like, honestly secondary, Jo. Could be the boxes, could be the setting up the office-" A pause, to take another drag. "Could be the celebratory fucking-in-a-pile-of-books, the important thing is that we will be tired at some point, and I can't start a house fire with the microwave."

He also isn't particularly bad with a knife, already moving to cut up fresh vegetables for their sandwiches- cigarette set aside in the ashtray as he works- and Josie insists he deserved a second chance- that his father had been cruel to insist that simply wanting to escape- to see the world through a wider lens than the 'good book'- was wrong, somehow. He knows that, now- had learned that lesson the night he left a front door slightly too-open for a sigil to protect the family inside. He'd killed his parents- intended to, perhaps, destroy the entirety of the Huntsville Westfalls the way someone had killed Gianna years later- Esther had ensured he wouldn't answer for what he'd done- by death, or jail time. Another thing he owed them for. "Well. That's been a long time ago now." He reasons, skirting past Josie to retrieve a mason jar of apple juice. "And you know... we've... learned from it. I like to pretend maybe I'll. Be a better parent, if the time comes, because of what Gabriel went through." He unscrews the lid, pouring himself a glass before bending to kiss Josie's temple. "Yeah I... I'd like that. I haven't been... out to see him in a while." Busy with the station, the move, his friends, and Josie, he'd neglected the burial site, unintentionally. "At least clean the marker up, I'm sure it's due for a weeding." There's a relief- in the way she doesn't argue against his worldview- adapting to it instead was a comfort- one that made him cling to it less violently- He'd been rather stable, since the last incident, careful to get in touch with someone on rough days and keeping himself distracted, otherwise. He reels her in by her waist gently, larger frame draped over her back slightly as she works, his other hand retaking his cigarette for another slow drag. "You are scary though. Absolutely terrifying." He teases. "five-ish feet of unbridled rage."

"oh now quite the opposite.. " she smiled softly. It had gotten to the point where she had gone just to see him. At the time she didn't realize it was crush she had on him. She just assumed she enjoyed his presence. He made her smile and laugh. But she never would have thought. She moved closer to him wrapping her arms around his waist as he pulled out his cigarettes. "You did, but I did too" she giggled a little "I wanted you to stare so I guess...I can make an exception...." She reached for the crystal ash tray on the counter and brought it closer signaling that she wasn't about to let him go just yet. And she wanted to smoke she wanted him to stay right there and do it. Clinging to him like he was a tree and she was sloth. She had never been clingy before. But now that she had so much too loose....she was scared and has a reason to be. Any Chang to hold him close like this she was going to take. She scoffed "You're telling me you were scared of little old me" she looked at him with doe eyes once more. He should be, she didn't know anyone who did half the dumb shit she did. Slapping mercy being the icing on the cake for dumbest things she had ever done. But she would never do anything to harm him. God she would do anything in the world to keep him safe. "girls are scary I get it" she said with laugh.

"This town has a weird way of bringing people together I think...." She mentions. "Lach was just my teacher until suddenly he wasn't and now he's my dad...." At last in her eyes he was. "Cal was my boss and then next thing I know he's like a brother to me...." She shrugged "Myles is my family too. Just like cyan, sissy....you" she said with warm cheeks. "I begged and wished for a family that actually loved me and suddenly I have a over abundance of it." She smiled Brightly. Josie smirks at him "Exhausted from unpacking....right..." She slaps his chest playfully and heads to the fridge to bring everything out before grabbing the bread and the plates "I have all he faith into. Just be careful... please" there is a seriousness to her voice. The first aid kit was on Deck just in case something went wrong. She begins to spread the condiments.on the bread and spreading it with the butter knife she had set aside. "Hey, you always deserve that second Chance....." They all did. Still she felt like she didn't, she didn't deserve him, or his Love. She needed to remind herself that, that was her father talking. She was trying to Better. For G, he deserved a good girlfriend. And she was going to die trying to be just that. "baby..." She said softly going to him as he talked about his father, the book, how he treated him "no one Should be punished for wanting to escape..." He cupped his face. "my dad tried to burn a lot of mine..." She said softly. "Only time he ever waisted alcohol was the drench my books in it and light them on fire...." She said with a sigh. She feels her cheeks flush a bit at the mention of Gabriel also liking her "I probably would have liked him too..." She smiled softly. She knew of him back then. She had made a mental note if how hot he was but that was all 13 year old Josie brain could think of at the time. "We should check on him, make sure everything is okay after the flood...leave some fresh flowers? Wouldn't have to stay just a quick stop" she suggested.

Ok so since I'm kinda new to your gen 2, who are all the kiddos and who's in a relationship with who?

Ok so it took me a minute to get all of them down, but I’m basically just going to do a list in terms of characters by ships and stuff.

Manorian: Rhiannon Havilliard, Asterina Havilliard

Rowaelin: Nehemia Galathynius, Gabriel Galathynius, Roman Galathynius, Deanna Galathynius, and Malena Galathynius

Elorcan: Callum Lochan

Lysaedion: Gavrielle Ashryver, Adrianna Ashryver (twins)

Chaorene: Kashin Westfall

Nestaq: Camilla, Orion, Robin

Non-Ship: Lilith Arturian, Hecate (Rolfe’s daughter), Edalyn Ashryver (Galan’s daughter), and Artemis (Fenrys and Vaughan’s adopted daughter).

As far as pairings, I’ve had a slight bit of trouble figuring out who I want with who, but I do have a couple. Lilith and Gabriel are intended to be a pairing, Rhiannon and Nehemia are in a relationship, and I’ve thought of pairing up Callum and Roman. As far as other ships go, I’m still figuring those out.

I also have a couple next gen A Court of Thorns and Roses characters that I developed some. There’s my Feysand kid Celeste (Maeve) Archeron, and she’s meant to be paired with Arthur, a white winged Illyrian who was cast out from his home after his mother died and his wings started becoming white.

BOOK RECOMMENDATIONS: THE BOOKSHELF EDITION

Hi there, bookworms. How’s your reading list for the month of October? Mine’s…. not really good. HAHA! 

I do have a reading list for the month of October but I’m not really in the mood for thrillers that’s why I went back to reading romance novels. I’ve read newly published books by Elle Kennedy and Emma Chase which are really awesome novels and afterwards, I tried reading Kennedy Fox’s books. 

I DISCOVERED ANOTHER GREAT DUO, GUYS! I read their completed series, BISHOP BROTHERS, which each can be read as standalone, by the way, and they are really good. I’m done with Jackson and Kiera’s story I’ll go and read the 1st and 2nd books. Hehehe! Anyway, I’ve been looking at my bookshelf right now (yup, I do that a lot) and I decided to share book recommendations from these paperbacks I have in my shelf, in no particular order, of course, classified by authors. HAHA!

Let’s start.

1. COLLEEN HOOVER

UGLY LOVE 

- this is my favorite NA book of all time. Tate and Miles’s story just sucked me in and now I’m stuck in reading NA novels. I probably read this for God knows how many times already. Ugly Love is my 1st book by CoHo as well. I bough it when during the #CTCinPH back in…2016? Yup. I wasn’t able to attend the signing because it was our finals then… So I just bought this book since it’s already available.

IT ENDS WITH US 

- this book talks about marriage and abusive relationships–yep. trigger warning–and definitely one of the most painful books I’ve read ever. I honestly fell in love with Ryle and I was just devastated. I really loved how CoHo wrote something as personal as this book.Like I’ve said before, all of my books has their own story as to how they landed in my shelf. This one has a different story. Quite fitting for a book as unique and personal as this one. I was so damn stressed at work. It was during our training, I guess? I’ve read that Colleen will be releasing another book (IEWU), so to relieve myself from stress, I started looking for this but it wasn’t available. For 10 consecutive working days, I visited National Bookstore for this book. I didn’t realize that the universe is telling me not to read this. My tears and broken heart is worth it, after all.

ALL YOUR PERFECTS

- Another book that talks about marriage. There were sensitive issues in this book so this post also comes with a trigger warning (eg. cheating and miscarriage). This is all about a perfect couple in an imperfect marriage. My mom and I bought this book. She gave it to me since she dragged my lazy ass on a rainy day to check whether the documents she’s been processing are already available. Haha!I love all her books but these are the top 3 books I would recommend.

2. EMMA CHASE

SUSTAINED

- yup, this is where I met my gorgeous, hot, amazing book husband, my one and only Jake Becker. A hot shot attorney who met Rory McQuaid, his brothers and sisters and their gorgeous aunt and turned his life upside down. Amazing read, ladies and gentlemen.That is the only book from Emma Chase in my shelf right now, thanks to my friend and my former workmate.I’m gonna hunt for the other 2 books wishing that they’d land into a second hand bookshop or I’ll probably just buy them online. :)

3. KATY EVANS

WHITE HOUSE DUET

- here’s President Matthew Hamilton and his gorgeous first lady, Charlotte Wells. Another rare book right here. One of my favorite Political Romance novel. I got this book from Amazon.

4. SARAH J. MAAS

A COURT OF THORNS AND ROSES SERIES

- I told myself to stay away from Sarah J. Maas’s books after what she’d done to my one and only Chaol Westfall, I, however, read the 1st book in this series before everything went down and I’m not giving it another chance. I just can’t say “no” to retellings. It’s Hades and Persephone, y'all. Something uncommon. So there you go.

5. MICHELLE HODKIN

MARA DYER TRILOGY

- A perfect Halloween read. Kidding but, not really. Also, we have the awesome book boyfriend, Noah Shaw. Have you read this, go and pick this up! Oooohh! BTW, I haven’t read THE SHAW CONFESSIONS yet, I’m waiting for the last book before I dig in.

6. TAMMARA WEBBER

EASY

- another rare find from a 2nd hand bookshop. If you happen to visit Baguio, please do visit Bookends. I’ll try to explore other 2nd hand bookshops and write an entry about them. Majority of my books are from here, you might as well check them out.

7. SYLVAIN REYNARD

GABRIEL’S INFERNO TRILOGY

- this book is… hot. A forbidden romance novel and it will make you fall in love even more. Professor Emerson is just… perfect.Another set of books I got from Bookends. I swear that bookshop is like a secret cave full of treasures, you’ll be able to find rare books and get them through great deals.

I might do a kindle edition soon but I need more time for that because there are tons of books on my kindle app that are really awesome. 

I’ll also write a blog post about the unread-books I have on my shelf. HAHA! Yep, I still have a few of them, I’m hoping I could cross them all out of my list tho. I need new books to read!
