This one is shorter, but I'm not sure I like separating out things like this. The colors correspond to the doors you can go through with certain characters. Some of these are not the only time you go through a door with a certain character, but due to the restrictions of only going through certain doors with others, I thought it would be fitting. D-Team placed on January 1st again to act as a "bridge" between VLR and ZTD, if they're to be run as a joint event. White selected for those characters for symbolic reasons, I hope you get it? One of the things I like about 999 Week is how the arrangement leaves a space for other characters that are in the game but aren't "players". I think the only character actively excluded from this calendar currently is G-OLM, whereas my first arrangement pretty much lacked space for that. You could tack on another day for that, but...

I'm also not as fond of the lack of symmetry here. The first calendar was more symmetric.

In any case this timing probably wouldn't work out for most people because of the aforementioned conflicts with both IRL holidays and ZEcret Santa, but this is a theoretical calendar exercise, not "I actually want to organize this", at this point.

Sherlock had informed him earlier that they needed to go to the site immediately and search for the discarded backpack that would lock up the suspects for good - nasty fellas involved in a brutal child murder.

Greg wasn’t sure how Sherlock always managed to do it, but he hadn’t been wrong yet. This time he was on about the way the suspect wore his belt. Had to give away that he worked construction in the side.

The consulting detective and his partner were standing under two umbrellas, Sherlock barking orders at the dog team. Greg was without umbrella, soaked to his shoes.

“HURRRDSH!!”

He snapped forward, water droplets flying off the soggy whisps of hair.

Sherlock shot him a glare that said ‘you’re interrupting my thinking’.

“Bless you.” John offered before turning back to face the scene with sherlock.

With Mycroft away on business this week, no one was around to tell him to get some rest. The DI had been working late nights at Scotland Yard every day this week, running himself ragged. By Wednesday he’d already started coming down with one hell of a cold. Donovan and Anderson avoiding him by Thursday.

The silver haired man used a wet hand to try and wipe the rain out of his eyes - an effort that was futile. He pulled an already damp tissue from his pocket and coughed harshly into it.

The cough sounded worse than it was - two decades of smoking seemed to have that effect on Greg whenever he fell ill.

“You’ll catch your death out here, Gregory.”

The man in question turned around and was met with none other than the British government himself holding an umbrella over them both.

Mycroft huffed a sigh, always startled by how loud his partner could be.

“I thi’gk I already have…” Greg mumbled from behind the tissue. He blew his nose, practically turning it to confetti.

“For heavens sake Gregory, do throw that useless napkin away.” The younger man removed a clean and pressed handkerchief from his suit’s breast pocket and handed it to the detective who was already putting it to good use.

Right where sherlock pointed, someone hit something solid. After a couple people joined in the digging, it was unearthed as a backpack. THE backpack needed to crack the case.

“Detective, I think you’ll find the backpack was exactly where I’d thought. Inside you’ll found damning evidence that the banker did it all along for the insurance claim. We’ll be on our way now.”

Sherlock turned on his heels, John apologizing but following after him.

“Is that enough to get you home and into some dry clothes then?” Mycroft asked. “Anthea has the car ready to go.”

“Erm… let me make sure Donovan can handle this before I just snfff leave them…”

Mycroft made a note of his partner’s growing congestion. He’d prepare the humidifier later that night.

A few moments later, Greg was trotting back over through the rain.

The window of the car rolled down and Anthea handed one over. It was warm as if it had just come out of the dryer.

🔀 Crossover Ship: Pair the wrong s/i with an f/o from a different universe and talk about their dynamic!

I ended up going with my Virtue's Last Reward S/I sense he is, partially, shipped with GTM-CM-G-OLM, a character with 30 minutes of screen time, and my Shipped with Zenyatta S/I, sense they're the OG of the OW S/Is and both shipped with Robots <3 Yay continuity!

My VLR S/I is, in short, a being from a higher plane that's love for K and desire to help him caused them to break through space and time, causing the entire game's events, just to be with him and give him the love he deserves. It's based on the noncanon ending of VLR. (you can read a mini fic about it Here)

To fit into OW lore I imagine he'd be something akin to The Iris, possibly the Iris taken human form, come to Earth. I'm not sure why it's come to Earth, but I imagine it's not very Good at the whole. Being human thing. Zenyatta finds it on his journey post Mondatta's death and take it along with him, assuming it a normal lost human. The dynamic from there would be Traveling Companions learning Humanity together, what it is to be Alive, to love and grow and change and what not. Deep stuff.

My Shambali Overwatch S/I is a human mechanic who ran away from home at a young age hoping to help Omnics and learn from Master Mondatta. He and Zenyatta are Childhood rivals to friends to lovers 10 year slow burn. (long fic series that one, the first of that is Here)

Without spoiling VLR, I imagine this S/I was the creator of GTM-CM-G-OLM and the other GAULEMs, maybe he's around the same age as K and the two use to hang out when he wasn't working. He probably takes way more interest in the GAULEMs than K though, so K remains the loneliest man in the world. Sorry K, this S/I is Robotsexual </3 GTM-CM-G-OLM is a very casual flirt and handsy, and this S/I is very easily flustered by physical affection from Hot Robot, so their dynamic is very sillie to me <3

I find the interpretations of the stones in THT interesting in how they differ from mine. I thought the sacrifice spell was the G's way of determining who was worthy; in its view, people who wanted to directly use the stone's full power for harm would be unwilling to sacrifice themselves to do so, and the stones would be unusable otherwise, but the G's oversight was not anticipating the stone's indirectly used as power source for things like the music box.

I took what the Guardian said to Anne to be true, that they made the stones as a test to see how mortals would handle infinite power. The Mysteries of the Stones was a plot through 3B, so it felt like the Guardian was there to answer that.

The Olm's isolationism came from their mindset that the stones were a God-given temptation that should be left alone. The Core/Ancient Newts believed the stones represented that they had the God-given right to rule.

"The Stones are our sacred Birthright they are unique to our world and proof that we are destined to conquer!" - Aldrich

The Core's motivation comes in trying to maintain this Manifest Destiny ideology, no matter the cost it has on others and its world.

So the Guardian's words have to be accurate in order for those plot points to work.

I always thought the Guardian picked Anne not just for the sacrifice but for all her time throughout the show. The sacrifice was just the nail in the coffin for the Guardian to choose Anne. The spell felt like it killed the user because of the sheer power of the stones. Anne was able to use the spell long enough to kill the Core, because of her time mastering her powers throughout the season. This is probably why Sasha & Marcy can't do it, they can barely contain one of the stones so they wouldn't be able to handle all three.
