I didn't want to make the reblog chain any longer but I just wanted to say I actually don't consider Fyodor's attachment to Dazai as one sided because of this statement from Asagiri: "There are rare moments when Dazai shows his very “human” side. That is when he talks to another superhuman who is on the same level with him. The other is when he talks about his old friend who has passed." But like you mentioned, they're on opposite sides so they're totally doomed hehe. Some fyozai fans like to create AUs where Dazai convinces Fyodor to embrace goodness, but I like thinking about the reverse where Fyodor convinces Dazai to embrace evilness. 😈Imagine how terrifying that would be to have the both of them as antagonists? Nobody would be able to stop them.

And that quote! I’ve never seen it before, that’s so interesting! It recontextualizes what I previously thought about about Dazai’s feelings towards Fyodor. Funny how a certain redhead isn’t included in the people Dazai shows his “human side” to, isn’t it? (I’m sorry skk shippers please don’t kill me.)

To me, it seems that there are two faces to Dazai’s “human” side. There is the part of him that good be traditionally considered “good” and the part of him that could be traditionally considered “evil.” A paraphrased version of a quote I almost remember by heart, is when Oda tells Dazai: “if it makes no difference to you whether you kill or save people in this world, be on the side that saves people.”

In the context of the quote you mentioned and the one I just did, Fyodor represents “kill” and Oda represents “save,” the two ends of the spectrum of what kind of “human” Dazai could be.

With this information, I would consider fyozai’s dynamic requited, but I also think… that’s only if Oda’s character ceases to exist.

I firmly believe that in every universe that Oda and Dazai exist, Dazai chooses Oda. Above Fyodor, above Chuuya, above Atsushi, above the armed detective agency, above the entire world—Dazai will screw up the lives of everybody as long as he can save Oda.

This is evidenced in the Beast universe: a world where Dazai does exactly that.

It could then be plausibly believed that Fyodor and Dazai have a chance at being ride-or-die partners in crime in an alternate universe where Dazai exists and Oda doesn’t—but I highly doubt that. Dazai and Oda’s fates are so intertwined across universes that in every universe where Dazai lives, Oda dies. The opposite is also true; in the only universe that Oda lives, Dazai dies.

Out of billions of universes, the only one where Oda lives, Dazai must die. I argue this shows the sheer extent to which Dazai and Oda’s fate are intertwined, and because they are intertwined, Oda is a central part of Dazai’s character development in every universe.

Of course Dazai being friends with Fyodor and Dazai being friends with Oda aren’t mutually exclusive things, but any kind of relationship Dazai would willingly entertain with Fyodor would always be colored by Oda’s influence, if you know what I mean?

It’s like… having a very memorable ex, even though I don’t ship Odazai.

It is my of my opinion, canonically, that Oda is the only person with the capacity to significantly change Dazai. That is what I mean by Fyodor and Dazai’s dynamic being unrequited—it could be requited, Fyodor understands Dazai, so he could theoretically change him, but it will never be to the degree that Oda changes Dazai. I believe Dazai will always put Oda’s words above everyone else’s, and I believe Oda exists in every universe Dazai exists in.

I love having the opportunity to list my favorites for anything, though I'm also incredibly picky about fanfics, so I don't actually know (until I start scrolling my bookmarks and listing them) if I'll reach a whole 10 favorites!! But I might! (Note: these are in no particular order)

What I Want From You is Sweet by VampireFaun (Heaven Official's Blessing) [And basically every other work that she's written! But some of my other top favorites of hers are The Thing That Was Not His Highness and Beast With Two Backs]: When I can't get a fanfic out of my head, I usually end up drawing an illustration based on it, if I'm bold enough to risk depicting an author's precious words (rare). This is my MOST re-read fic and I won't ever stop. It doesn't help that VampireFaun/Deer is a WONDERFUL PERSON and I love her personality so much. She's an incredible writer!

Tenfold by dgalerab (Bungou Stray Dogs) : Baby's first fic! This was one of the writings that immediately roped me into the fanfic world. When I first was into it, I was under the impression that everyone just went there to write half-assed explorations of sex between characters, and that wasn't so appealing to me. When I discovered that some people can write entire 25-chapter PLOTS with the level of literacy that matches what I hoped to read??? I was hooked. Obviously you can see in this list that I have strong devotion to a handful of fic writers and my favorites are just the top best fics that I return to of their writing. If I find a great writer, I subscribe to them and go on a rampage of consumption through their list of fics, my fandom or not! Please consider doing the same for those authors that I mention like that!! You'll find so much gold. Everything by dgalerab is good in some way, I have almost all of their fics bookmarked. :') My only complaint about this particular story was that HOLY FUCK THE AUTHOR CUT SO MANY SCENES WAY TOO SHORT LMAO. Please let me have a full comfort scene for more than two paragraphs T_T I worked so hard for it. I cried so much. ANYWAY, STILL A HUGE INSPIRATION FOR WHAT I WENT ON TO WRITE!

What You Have Tamed by Parsnipit (Heaven Official's Blessing)

Love is Hard, Life Sucks by gev_ao3 (Bungou Stray Dogs) : A painful inspection of the nuances of domestic abuse. This one rang true to reality so much that I don't think I can re-read it without having a depressive episode. It's not finished, but it's Fyozai, and you know how I feel about that. Also side-plot SKK! I usually can't stand AUs, but this one fits the situations very well. It's the type of fic that only someone who knows a little too much about how abuse works on a victim can write.

Careful Fear and Dead Devotion by intimatopia (Trigun Stampede) : Yet another fic that I couldn't help but draw for! And intimatopia was kind enough to link it in his fic summary T_T - A super angsty sadomasochistic fic about Vash needing pain and Wolfwood needing to give it. If I don't list any other fics by him on here, it's because I'm such a huge enjoyer of his writing (one of my favorite fic authors), so nearly all of them that don't hit on personal triggers are in my favorites category. He's a master at pinning down the PERFECT depictions of characters that make them feel as canon as possible while also becoming more tangible and real. The ZhongXiao, AyaThoma and Kaeluc fics are incredible. Read them all! However, I will mention that one of his fics that first stuck with me was his Kaeluc AU Northbound & Reaching ! Carys has done a lot of BSD fics too, of which a few stick out to me like They Say You Gotta Fake It and that one Soul Eater AU he did where Dazai was a knife in Chuuya's drawer who gained a body. I DON'T KNOW WHERE IT WENT CUZ I CAN'T FIND IT TO LINK YOU BUT GO LOOK THROUGH ALL HIS FICS FOR IT. IT'S REALLY UNIQUE.

Top 5 works, I guess?? As I mentioned several times while gushing, three of these account for entire lists of the author's works that you should enjoy if we share the same taste! VampireFaun, dgalerab, and intimatopia are my top fic authors, and I've read everything they've posted as long as it didn't contain anything personally triggering - and have learned about new fandoms even! Also, Alaruya didn't make it on this list, but they have a Fyozai fic that really inspired me with its imagery and language. I link it in my Sinner fanfic if you're interested!

I have quite a few other random fics I enjoy, but most were from a Heaven Official's Blessing craze recently and then BSD works that inspired me in some way, but they're not very unique or long, so I felt like this was the best collection to list. Most any fic that explores Dazai struggling with self-harm or neediness or asexuality has my attention. It just has to be written well!

You know, I feel like Fyozai is just very one-sided. Oh, the aesthetic of two rival geniuses being in love, sure, that’s amazing.

But it’s interesting in canon how Fyodor is weirdly friendly to Dazai. He gives him a painless death in Dead Apple. He gives him the chance to try and talk Chuuya out of killing him—kind of a ‘last words’ courtesy. Calls him his chess buddy. I genuinely think Fyodor *enjoys* Dazai’s company.

Dazai, though, treats Fyodor with scorn and disgust—because he’s the worst version of what Dazai could have been. Hence, it’s very one sided.

I think, out of everyone in the world, Dazai could have been his friend. If they had met long before Fyodor’s plans, as kids or in the mafia or what have you—would Fyodor have been better? Would Dazai have been *worse*?

There’s no denying they ARE kindred spirits. Both are so intelligent that it makes them lonely. I think that’s what makes Dazai suicidal, whereas Fyodor treats burning the whole world down like a game.

But the main difference is Dazai forms bonds and cares about people. Fyodor uses and discards them, and that’s what got him killed.

Doing an introduction post because I didn't before

Hi! I'm usually known as Sky Cas (Sky Casino Regular - AO3 username of mine). I decided to make a Tumblr acc because I have free will (as Nikolai would say), and because of easier interaction with BSD fandom.

The most important thing about me is that I write fanfiction, specifically Bungou Stray Dogs fanfiction. What's also an important information is that I have a co-writer with who I write those fics with, so I'm not entirely responsible for plot, but I am for most of the writing!

Favorite thing about them: I really like how as a character he was able to deeply touch so many people!! Seeing so many people finding relief in being able to relate to and emphasize with the character makes me happy.

Least favorite thing about them: I mean, his personality? I don't like how his many flaws are written to be interpreted as strong points / good traits for his character to the point no flaw is actually a flaw, it makes the reading experience very frustrating for me.

Favorite line:

brOTP: Mmmmhh, I don't spend a lot of time thinking about Dazai. Soukoku, probably. The Buraiha trio makes me emotional a little. Souheki, but in a very passive-aggressive, over-competitive, one-sided rivality, can't-stand-each-other way. Dazai and Kyouka. Dazai and Atsushi too I suppose, though I prefer them romantically. I think he makes for a lot of interesting dynamics with virtually all the characters, but none compells me in particular tbh.

OTP: Odazai is plain canon to me, idk what to tell you. I think they make for a beautiful, tragic love story. Get you a man who is willing to change the path of his whole life for another man just like that, nobody does it like them (actually, wait, I can think of another man... ). Although I always distantly liked them, dazatsu has grown on me like, an INSANE amount in the last few months. I'm not sure what happened. I think it was an unfortunate (lol) coincidence of growing a little fonder of Dazai and just wanting to give more space and agenda to Atsushi. Like to me a lot of what dazatsu is really is about giving Atsushi more agency and autonomy and independence and overall just respecting him as a complex, full fleshed out character. I don't see ANY kind of power imbalance in it I keep finding people talk about. Dazai pushes Atsushi to be better every day, and Atsushi does exactly the same for Dazai. Atsushi admires and respects Dazai, and Dazai admires and respects Atsushi equally. I really don't know why the ship isn't more popular and instead just gets discarded most of the time tbh. I feel like everyone should sit down a second and actually give Atsushi the dignity to choose for himself. And fyozai!!! The investment in this ship mostly goes on waves for me but despite that I firmly believe that they really make for an engaging and interesting dynamic to be interpreted romantically. The epitome of “You're both just enabling each other's mental illnesses. You're both perfect for each other. Never change. Just never involve anybody else in what you've got going on.”

nOTP: Nothing comes to my mind.

Random headcanon: Not canon related, but in modern aus I feel like he'd be one to always end up working at ceo roles and he would HATE it. He fires himself and starts working at some cheap frozen yogurt place and one month later he'll find himself as the ceo of the most important oil company of the country AGAIN without him even realizing it / despite his active efforts to avoid that. And he HATES IT. He fires himself again but the loop only repeats forever. He's just that kind of person for whom all doors open automatically.

Unpopular opinion: ............ I could be here forever. I regretfully fail to relate to a lot of characterization / readings of the character I've seen the fandom give him. I really don't want to dwell on this so I'll just mention something mostly unrelated to his characterization: I wholly can't share the take of him being physically built like??? At all??? Which got REALLY popular a few months ago. Dude feels like he never lifted a finger his whole life, I really don't know where the idea comes from???? And I personally don't take his manga visual portrayal as a telling factor for this; pretty much all the characters have the same body type, it's impossible for me to base the buff Dazai assumption on how he's drawn in the manga. Just one thing about his chracter though stop making him matchmaker for ss/kk he really isn't stop don't do it please

How did their relationship begin?

Fyodor and Dazai met (in my headcanon) in the Dragon's Head Conflict, when they were teenagers. They met via Shibusawa- Dazai wanted to find out more about what was going on and decided to fuck around and find out. They weren't exactly enemies but they certainly weren't entirely on the same side. They found each other very intriguing and had a few conversations but did not actually become involved with one another until a year later when Dazai was on some mafia business in Russia, they ran into each other and just went Oh! You! Let's fuck

When did they realize they liked each other?

Immediately when they met. When they started talking, they recognized each other's intelligence and their similarities well. It was just a matter of looking further into each other.

Asking each other out:

No, this did not happen. Dazai and Fyodor saw each other in the street, recognized each other, ducked behind the nearest alley and went hey i know you! Wanna play chess, talk about ending the world, then possibly get a room? They then spent the entire duration of Dazai's Business Trip in that room. Like Im not gonna lie these guys don't fuck around

Who did they first tell about their relationship?

No one knew that Fyodor and Dazai had ever met, let alone been romantically involved for many many years. Chuuya and Dazai were dating the whole time as well, and Chuuya knew Dazai had other things going on, but it's not like he was gonna look into that, like, fuck, why would he. Fyodor and Dazai were in a pretty consistent relationship, however long distance, until Dazai left the mafia in which he completely fucking ghosted Fyodor for two years. They were in occasional contact after this, but both of them tried not to get too involved as not to detract from their other endeavors, especially now that Dazai was more cemented towards working against him. The first time he told someone about it was in an offhand joke in the ADA to Kunikida, then after Fyodor came back into the picture he kind of just left it at "oh i know him Very Well" and let everyone come to their own conclusions. No one fucking knows and the ADA still bets on it to this day

Is anyone very against/enthusiastic about their relationship, why?

There's not that many people very aware of this whole deal, considering how vague and weird they are about it and how usually, they are not in the same area. I do think at this point Ango knows, since he has to deal with communicating with him in jail… and he's definitely not a fan. Dazai has let the ADA kind of figure it out on their own and man, do they not approve, but yknow. This is Dazai. They're used to Dazai. Nikolai is totally cool with it and he honestly cheers them on every second and tries to get in on the action lol

First date/first kiss?

Yeah, same deal, motherfuckers met on the street the second time they were ever together and basically went through the whole deal all at once because they're Telepathic. They sometimes went on more formal Dates™ to fancy restaurants and such when they felt like it, but not as any sort of courtship ritual, they know they like each other, they're just fancy bitches who want to spend their time doing stuff like that. They also did a lot of their strategy/negotiation meeting type stuff that way, so if you overhear someone talking about international terrorism next to you at the Ritz yeah that's them

Who proposes/how do they do it?

So, remember when I said that Dead Apple was Fyozai's honeymoon and Shibusawa was their fucking third? Still going strong with that. So Dazai managed to do this all completely under the ADA's nose. But yeah, Fyozai had met up secretly on another one of their "we never talk to each other outside of this but sometimes we will just meet at some incredibly fancy restaurant disappear from our respective duties for weeks, and then return like nothing happened with various new bandages" things except Dazai did one of those "propose for a free dessert" things with one of those plastic halloween spider rings as a joke, Fyodor took it completely blank face and just went "we have enough money to buy this whole restaurant why would you draw attention to us like that" and Dazai's just like. cmon please :((((((((( until Fyodor sighs and says "sure" and then they get a free dessert

When they leave the restaurant Dazai's like wasn't that a funny prank haha I love making you uncomfortable and drawing attention to myself what a fun joke and Fyodor's like what do you mean! We're engaged now for real! You proposed! So now we are engaged! You don't get to take this back :) and he has managed to maneuver this into a win for him. He refuses to give back the spider ring

So then Dazai's like Well Fuck! Guess I fucking do! And takes it as a challenge for them to legitimately get married without anyone in the ADA hearing a WORD of it

Who do they tell/why?

Well, they tell, no one, except for Shibusawa, Sigma, and Nikolai, who at this point knew that Dazai existed but probably hadn't thought about him for years considering how Fyodor never talks about anything ever. They decide to basically do this through Shibusawa since he's the only one who knows shit about how weddings work or how to officiate one, and well, again, he's their third. For, you know, strategic reasons.

Who does wedding planning?

Shibusawa does all of it! Fyodor and Dazai just tell them what they want and how to keep it all under the radar and then he just. He does everything. He makes their outfits obviously and those are,, even fancier than their dead apple outfits but you know. Think along those lines.

Who is especially against/for the wedding?

Shibusawa's like a fucking fangirl about them it's so funny like they're both dating him too but he is ridiculously invested in their relationship even though they keep tons of secrets from him all the time. He's somehow even more excited for their wedding than they are, although of course both of them have taken this as 1) a challenge 2) an excuse to hang around with each other longer and do stupid gay shit and 3) an inside joke to reference constantly in the future

Do they set a date right away or wait?

Well, the thing is, the whole point of this is for them to get married in in complete secrecy without anyone other than the DOA knowing, like, just to see if they can do it tbh. Sigma, Shibusawa, Nikolai, and Ivan are there, but that's like literally it. No one in the ADA or port mafia has any idea this is happening, the agency just thinks Dazai skipped work again for a month and didn't bother to go looking for him (plus if they did know they would probably be Concerned and yknow, it would ruin the surprise of dead apple)

Nikolai is the best man and Sigma is the flower girl.

Who walks them down the aisle?

They walk themselves down the aisle, they're all fucking orphans. There's literally no one older than Shibusawa at that wedding and Shibusawa is what like. 27

(I should note at this point that I have no idea how weddings work. I've been to two ever and i was like eight for the first one and hiding in the bathroom the whole second one)

What are they wearing?

Dazai is wearing the most slutty, ostentatious, Disturbing, elaborate fucking piece of bridal machinery. Nearly fucking transparent white, giant train, covered in lace and flowers and all the cobwebs he's managed to pick up along the way. It also has a boob window. He's wearing bright red stilettos, just to rub in the few inches he has on Fyodor. However he's ditched them by 2 minutes into the ceremony and goes barefoot on the altar. Half of them are super poetic and deep and the other half are petty and stupid and you know who wrote which!

They vow to always have side hoes, to always keep secrets from each other as to Spice Up Their Marriage, to always plot for the other's death and so on and so forth

In all seriousness though, they vow that whoever survives the other must stay alive after the other's death long enough to grow a flower out of the dead one's chest. They are only allowed to die after that flower dies, and they must do their utmost to take care of the flower while it lives.

This vow is kept, to the letter, and no longer.

I've already mentioned this but, Shibusawa. Fyodor basically fed him all the lines ngl, told him what all the religious traditions were and when he was allowed to break them

He also pronounces them "huswife and wifesband- i mean. fuck. wusband and hife. uh. demon and demon. nemesis one and nemesis two. chess queen and chess king." and it was. definitely on purpose. Probably for the better considering neither of them are capable of holding binary genders for more than 3 seconds.

Do they cry when they show up on the altar?

I think if either of them cried it would take five seconds for everyone to be like who are you and what have you done with fyodor/dazai

But yeah, Fyodor's reaction to dazai is just kind of a hushed silence, followed by a monotone "Wow. /s"

Then Dazai calls Fyodor "hot mama" referring to his Catholic Nun attire and Fyodor throws his drink in Dazai's face

Fyodor kisses Dazai and Dazai just sits their stunned for a few minutes in a Daze and then he just goes "WOO" and gets drunk

Yes! It gets thrown directly in sigma's face. Nikolai's like "welp that means you caught it! who are you getting married to" and Sigma's like i hate everyone here with a burning passion i am marrying myself and Nikolai's like. aroace icon! and sigma actually smiles

Nikolai brings a bag of chips he continues to crunch on loudly through the whole ceremony but other than that they do not have food

This question made me laugh out loud in the middle of class earlier because these guys fucked years and years before marriage was even a fucking thought but yes they absolutely did as soon as the dance and shit was over they just Disappeared and everyone went oh god i dont want to find where they decided to go fornicate good night

Fyodor is a demon for a reason ya’ll

Fyodor had a thick accent. That was one of the first things that Dazai noticed about the man. Dazai had learned to speak fluent English a long time ago; fluent enough that his accent was barely noticeable. However, it was almost like Fyodor had just become acceptably fluent in the language that he could speak on neutral terms with Dazai and Shibusawa. However, Shibusawa himself sounded like an English born, English speaker. There was no accent and there were no pauses in his cadence. Dazai didn’t know how that was done, and the curious side of him almost wanted to look into it.

               “You look good in white.” Fyodor said from somewhere behind him. Dazai just blinked, continuing to stare out the window at the dense fog that surrounded the strange castle. The spire reached the sky, cutting against the inky dark night that was only briefly highlighted by the full moon. The light from the celestial body cast everything in an eerie green blue glow. “Though I suspected that for a while now.”

               That’s right. He Fyodor knew each other. They had known each other for a long time; all the way back from when Dazai was in the Port Mafia. Slowly Dazai turned, catching sight of Fyodor. He stood not ten feet away and slowly, ever so slowly with a knowing smile on his face, walked forwards. Before long, he was standing directly behind Dazai.

               One of the strange things about meeting up with Fyodor again was that Fyodor was much taller than Dazai first thought. If one looked at Fyodor at face value, they wouldn’t think he was any taller than Dazai himself. However, Fyodor actually had a few inches on Dazai, enough to where he could see over the brunette’s head in the reflection of the window. The light of the room made Fyodor’s skin look paler than it actually was.

               “I think you looked good in black; but white suits you.” He took another step forwards his chest now pressed against Dazai’s back. “Hmm.” He hummed in the back of his throat and Dazai had to suppress the shiver that rushed through him. Fyodor’s hands were icy cold, even through the thick layer of leather he wore in the form of gloves. That man just seemed… dead.

               But that obviously did not stop Fyodor from touching Dazai. Not at all. He reached up, brushing some of the longer hairs away from the back of Dazai’s neck. There was a quick moment of stillness between the two before Dazai watched in the glass as Fyodor leaned down. His lips, ice cold, brushed against Dazai’s neck as he spoke.

               “Hmm I suppose you look best in nothing though. Maybe just a collar around your neck,” He punctuated the sentence with wrapping an icy hand around Dazai’s throat; tight like a chain. “A little tag perhaps? ‘Property of Fyodor’ it would say. And I would have the smartest little bitch around, my own personal pet.” Dazai stayed silent, already having heard the sound of footsteps approaching the room; his head tilted to the side so Fyodor could do what he wanted as he kissed his neck.

               In the reflection of the glass, Dazai could see Shibusawa walk in, taking note of the two of them with a knowing smile before walking right over to the table. It had Dazai twitching. He was so sure of his abilities, but these two were on par with him. He needed to…he needed…

               Fyodor’s hands wrapped around Dazai’s waist and before Dazai could react, the shockingly stronger Fyodor moved Dazai across the room and very well nearly tossed the brunette onto the table. Dazai was then on his back, head slightly dizzy from the bounce it just went through upon landing on the wood. He couldn’t even stop Fyodor as he quickly rushed over and pressed his body atop Dazai’s. All the while, Shibusawa watched on from the seat by Dazai’s head. He observed as Fyodor bit down on Dazai’s neck, moaning himself from perhaps giving the pain to Dazai?

               “How wonderful, that look on your face; trying so hard to hide the pleasure you are experiencing.” Shibusawa hummed, all the while Fyodor’s cold hands reached under Dazai’s shirt and viciously pinched at his nipples. It was so hard that Dazai nearly threw his hands up to push Fyodor off. Instead he could only throw his head back; Shibusawa actually having grabbed Dazai’s hands in the mix of pleasure and pain.

               “Get… get off.” Dazai tried to get out but Fyodor was not having it.

               “I’ve waited so long for this. Ever since you were in the Port Mafia. But you were so in love with that assassin, Odasaku.” Fyodor said his name in a mocking sing song voice which had Dazai’s eyes burning. That was not good; nor was the strange look that formed over Shibusawa’s face. But Dazai could not think of that. He could barely think of anything.

               The last time he experienced such carnal activities was when Odasaku was still alive; well over five years ago. How Fyodor was kissing and biting and grabbing now? Dazai’s cock was rock hard before he could push Fyodor away, before he could pull his hand from Fyodor’s grasp; Shibusawa having given them over to Fyodor at some point during the haze.

               He was sweating and he felt sick. Dazai wanted to throw up as Fyodor removed his pants and pulled his own cock out. With little to no prep, he pushed in, causing Dazai to very well nearly black out from the pain. He knew blood was dripping down from his hole; he knew something ripped and tears streamed from his eyes as Fyodor fucked into him.

               Calloused hands settling onto his cheek had Dazai freezing, his stomach dropping so hard he had to swallow down bile.

               He knew those hands.

               He knew that touch.

               His heart stopped for a moment and he squeezed his eyes shut so hard he thought a vessel would pop in his head.

               “You aren’t real.” He sobbed quietly, the sound of Fyodor’s flesh slapping against his almost drowning out his voice. “You aren’t there. You aren’t real.” But the touch, oh how real that touch was.

               Slowly his eyes cracked open; and through the drool and the tears dripping down his thrown back face, he spotted a visage upside down he never wanted to see in that moment.

               Odasaku, somehow, was standing before him. Dazai sobbed louder this time which only prompted Fyodor to laugh. “You aren’t real. You aren’t there, I’m just imaging this.”

               The hand reached down again, this time brushing against Dazai’s lips.

               It was real.

               There was no way it wasn’t.

               Dazai knew that touch to well, he had it seared into his mind.

               And all he wanted to do was die. In that moment, as Fyodor smiled and fucked into him, Dazai could only imagine death being so sweet.

hii sadist! its the "shy anon" from before,, i just wanted to say that i loved ur new fyozai fic and it was really interesting seeing a different kind of perspective/side of their relationship ^^ i was wondering if you were planning on doing any content related to sigma or nikolai? the anime did a rly crappy job at sigmas backstory but i think as we see more of Nikolai, he would translate really well into your writing style.

Oh helloooo!! Welcome back!

Aw, thank you so much. I was really happy during the writing of that one, and it's been a while since I wrote a fic out of interest instead of...emotion? If that makes sense. Usually most of them are born out of a depressive episode or otherwise some form of coping, but that one just came from an idea that I liked and Fyodor's POV carrying the narrative. I'm glad to present a different version of their relationship!

For Sinner, it's definitely way less canon, so the main reason I wanted to play with it is because that's more of how I see FyoZai's actual relationship, if one existed outside of Sinner. Especially the banter back and forth.

Oo, yes, I'm happy for the chance to talk about Nikolai and Sigma! So far, I'm very into adding them to my roster of art projects and new relationships to play with in that area, but I'll need to gather some more info from the upcoming 5th season before I can tell if I'd want to write any fics with their pairings.

It's funny, though, because I was watching it with my buddies and laughing about how much Sigma's backstory was a fanfic generator. Like I feel like that man was written to be fanficified and it cracked me up. Not complaining, though, there's so much potential. But I have this thing where I can't really build up a satisfying, canon-esque relationship with characters unless I've seen them on the screen interacting with one another, where I can base their mannerisms and dynamics off of what I see. So art works (especially FyoLai since I've been messing around with that), but definitely not any fanfics, just yet.

Maybe I'll feel like reading the manga at some point and get into it, we'll see!

Sigma is adorable, though, no matter how little screen time we had of him this season. I'm very interested. And already drawing him, because he's very pretty. Sia wolfcut hair is fun to draw.
