Hey, everyone. Asks are being turned off as of right now because I am overwhelmed. I also want to talk about something regarding that. I'm not angry, I have no hard feelings towards anyone, and this needs to be addressed:

"Too long, didn't read" at the bottom:

I have 433 asks in my inbox. It is very difficult for me to get the energy to answer every single one of them. I am going to delete them all (unless I find something I really do not want to delete) and clean my inbox out. Don't get me wrong, I do have fun with these a lot. That being said, being spammed with questions, especially the same ones I have answered multiple times, is not fun for me.

The Jonny Headverse stuff is fun, and I can have negative feelings about it. I have been thinking about this for a while now, but I never wanted to ruin anyone else's fun. I feel it is time to speak up about it anyway.

Please give me a little space. I do not dislike you, I am not angry, I am overwhelmed and a bit disheartened. I very much appreciate the fan art, the writings, the jokes, and everything in between. However, every time I do an event that is only supposed to be for Vanilla, TipVans, Bel, or an f/o takeover of some sort, it is always somehow about Jonathan and the other heads.

It, admittedly, hurt my feelings when it was mine and Vanilla's anniversary and I got asks that were mostly about the heads. I even had a few that were, "Okay but what about Jonathan and Erina's anniversary?" (which we actually did earlier in the year)

It all started with a visual gag I made in a mini comic about my s/i raiding the fridge. I got the idea from Futurama yes, but mostly this one DIY Halloween decoration where you print out a picture of a face, put it in a pickle jar filled with oil and put it in the fridge. Which is why he was next to the pickles in that drawing. I have no qualms about other artists and writers doing the Jonathan head thing. If somebody decides to make that their shtick, then that is wonderful. Yes, Jonathan's Head is an important character in my fanfic, but he is not the focal point.

My fanfic is all supposed to be from the viewpoint of Vanilla. My own s/i isn't even the main character, he is. It's not only about the romance between Vanilla and Tippy, but it tells a story about what would happen if two complete opposites of people (Vanilla and Polnareff) got a second chance. Polnareff remembers everything, but Vanilla remembers nothing. The tension, difficult decisions, the "what would you do in this situation?" feelings, and giving a backstory to a throwaway mini boss type villain.

I digress. To add on to what I said previously, it is discouraging to draw and write my heart out about something only to have it derailed by another subject. I have tried to take it all in stride, but my feelings are hurt. I would talk about Vanilla doing something, it gets derailed to Jonathan even when he wasn't even relevant to the conversation. I would say something about TipVans or Bel or Ramon or Emmanuel, it would get derailed so fast and I would get 20 asks about the heads doing the same thing my f/o or other characters are doing.

When I would do the f/o takeovers, not a single question I would receive was about the relationship Vanilla has with Tippy (although I could be wrong and don't remember. I only remember getting asks about taking care of the disembodied heads).

I don't want any of you to feel bad or think that I am mad at you. I am very overwhelmed and disheartened. I put a lot of passion into my art work and writing. I am very grateful for all of the kind words I receive and all of the wonderful encouragement I get on tags when my art gets reblogged every now and then.

There's this one drawing I have worked my best on and put my all into, which is a semi realism digital painting, I am very proud of (here). When I first uploaded it, I had somebody go, "Okay, now do semi realistic Jonathan's head." I can't just do a semi realism painting. It takes a lot of patience and energy.

I'm asking for a little bit of space, and a little bit of grace.

Like I have said before, I am in no way, shape, or form angry with anyone. Please, by all means, continue drawing, writing, animating, and talking about the Jonathan Head universe. I want you all to have fun and continue having fun. Do what makes you happy, create to your heart's content, please

I only ask 2 things: please, do not derail my other art works or writings anymore with Jonathan's Head stuff unless he is in them. And please do not bombard other artists/writers with asks, especially if they are uncomfortable and expressing their discomfort.

For now, asks are closed because I am overwhelmed with things and this (unfortunately) was the final straw.

Please don't think I will be angry with you if you decide to tag me in something Jonathan's Head related. I will still like it and share it and be happy for you and/or the person who created the work.

Once again, I am very grateful and thankful for all of the kind words and feedback I have gotten on my fanfic and drawings. I will let you all know when asks are turned back on as well. Then one day we can roleplay and stuff again💙

She's actually really into cars and mechanics. Which is one of the few good reasons her dad and her are close.

She's hard to get to know, very quiet. And if you're someone who dominates the conversation she won't speak up much, but you'll be surprised to how much she's listened.

Just because she looks tired and done doesn't actually mean she feels that way.

Samson (Lemonade boi)

His name is Samson, but he prefers Sun/Sunny. (Other more affectionate nicknames include Lemondrop and Sunflower.)

He really likes going out to markets and stuff like that, little stalls or knick knack shops to find the odd kinda items.

He also really likes wandering big forests. (Hes got some o that fae energy) He collects various cool stones/rocks/plants from some of them. He also has some small vials from waterfalls and ponds he’s encountered)

He wants to practice magic to become a witch! He loves the candles and rocks and other cool things that come with the craft. (He inherited things from his father)

He really likes loose fitting shirts too, like flowy things, ones with sleeves that drape past your fingers, or has extra fabric on the bottom that dangle down past hips. (Sometimes they come from the ladies section just because they’re softer and have more variety. Others from op shops and other niche little stores.)

He bought a cologne from a witch that looks cursed but the only curse is that it makes the one who puts it on smell like citrus..so not much of curse. (The bottle looks fuckin neato tho)

He looves fizzy drinks. Doesn’t mind his alcohol either, however it takes a surprising amount to get him on his ass despite looking like a serious lightweight.

He’s pretty average in build, bit of muscle in his arms, some fat on his thighs. Slight pouch of a tum (cause no ones flat and thats unrealistic :<)

He’s about 5′4. So not tall, but not the shortest of the short.

He kinda likes to backpack about. Not staying in places long if they get boring. Which means he is kinda jack of all trades when it comes to work, offering to fix things for pay, lots of casual work doing various things.(One of his favorites was helping a little old lady run a paint shop.)

He occasionally snorts when he laughs and tries not to.

He has his ears pierced, and he has a little yellow gemed stud in his nose.

The ring around his neck he found in the middle of a patch of mushrooms.

He has a couple other tattoos. One of them is of bubbles up his wrist :3 He also has some stars on his ankle, and a sunflower on one of his fingers on his left hand.

He’s not super in to gardening but he does have his lemon tree. He also wants to grow some mandarins

His eyes look silver in a lot of lights, but occasionally there’s some strange hints of yellow, and other times blue.

He has freckles!!!! that look alot like bubbles ;)

Wooden robots on Etsy

It's all good creating robots for fun or giving them away for free on beaches but the real skill comes with pricing them fairly on online websites such as Etsy. pricing homemade creations fairly on an online forum or shop is fairly difficult because you don't really know what kind of price people are willing to pay. Because of this there is a whole variation of prices regarding homemade wooden robots.

I'm going to compare 5 different wooden Robots and their prices from Etsy. 

The first robot I want to look at is a simple wood and rope design priced at £32.40 to £46.20 depending on the colour and whether or not you get engravings or not.

This wooden robot seems a bit overpriced for a few blocks of wood attached to something cord but that’s only My opinion. I feel like I could probably make it for a lot cheaper using the same or similar materials so ideally I would only buy this if it was a  fair bit cheaper. I can see why they would price it as it is though because they have handcrafted it using their own time and resources and they want to make a profit out of it, still I do think that it is a little pricey for what it is.

The next design I want to look at is a very boxy very Michelin man type robot priced at £21.60. This very cute looking robot I feel is priced quite fairly if not a little low for what it is. I really like this design because it is boxy but still detailed with the individual layers of wood making up the legs. It also is quite fairly priced for what it is. I would personally say that you could price it up at £25-£26 quite easily.

If we compare this pricing to the last wooden robot we can see that this robot has been created and priced fairly on the basis that yes it is simple but it has a fair amount of material on it. This is what sets this design apart from the first design.

The third design I want to look at is another boxy cute wood and string design priced at £18. This design is very polished, well made and incredibly well priced for what it is. This little robot differs from the others because the wood looks different because it is a different wood that has also been treated with oil to make it more child friendly. Looking back on this price, this is also another design that I would feel good about putting it up a few pounds in price because of how much detail and thought has gone into this little wooden toy robot.

The fourth design I want to look at is a wooden robot recreation of Bender the robot from Futurama priced at £34.04. I must admit that its pricing is a little specific but it is still priced moderately well for what it is. I only view this as moderately fair pricing because even though it is painted and detailed the detailing is a bit simplistic. However, this isn’t a case of ‘I could make that for cheaper’ because it does have curves in the design and curves are awkward. It's more of a proper thought about buying it rather than going ‘brilliant that's cheap I'll get that!’. In terms of the actual design, I quite like this design because it is of a very notable character and you can clearly see that which I Like.

The final wooden robot design I looked at was a little 2 robot set of very simple and plain wooden robots priced at £8.99. These are great as little presents for a gift bag or a little present for a toddler because they are simple and cheap. In terms of their actual design they are incredibly simple as they are literally just a rectangle of wood cut up into basic blocky body parts and then strung together but that works with the price they are priced at.

Comparing these to mass produced plastic toys like for example either a Lego AT-AT or a plastic model AT-AT these wooden models are daily priced for what they are which is lovingly handcrafted and somewhat detailed little (or large) wooden robot figures. The reason why I would rate these wooden prices fair over the mass produced prices is because a lot of the mass produced prices don't tend to go below £40 or £45 even though they are mass produced. That is a big reason as to why I think that a lot of these handcrafted wooden robots are priced more fairly than the mass produced Lego or plastic model kits out in the market.

The Best Cars, Trucks, and SUVs of the 2020 Chicago Auto Show

The Chicago Auto Show might not rise to the same dazzling prominence on the annual auto-show calendar as, say, the events held in Geneva or Los Angeles, but it’s a critical display of fresh sheetmetal nonetheless. That’s because during the show’s two-week run this February, a huge number of people—millions—will visit McCormick Place on the south end of downtown Chicago to take in the new cars, trucks, and SUVs on offer. So, while the number of big new-car debuts, premieres, and reveals in Chicago might be small compared to flashier shows, automakers don’t ignore the show entirely. This year saw a number of new or updated pragmatic vehicles perfect for the Midwest, including Chrysler’s 2021 Pacifica minivan and a new sporty version of the Toyota Highlander three-row crossover. Below, though, find the MotorTrend staff’s curated pics for the best vehicles at the show:

2020 Mercedes-Benz Weekender Camper Van

Mercedes-Benz unveiled a freaking camper van in Chicago. It’s not just some show vehicle, either, as the company is actually planning to sell the Metris Weekender in the coming months. Admittedly, the Weekender lacks some of the panache of the luxurious Marco Polo camper van that Mercedes sells in Europe. That said, this is still a factory-backed camper van (replete with pop-up roof panel) that sleeps four and is available with such extras as an eight-foot awning and a pullout kitchen. 1-Million-Mile 2007 Nissan Frontier

Why are we covering a 2007-model-year Nissan pickup truck in a roundup of favorites from an auto show in 2020? Well, for starters, this is no ordinary Nissan Frontier. It has been driven more than one million miles in only 13 years of service as a delivery vehicle local to the Chicagoland area. Its owner, Brian Murphy, has doled out minimal repairs over the truck’s life and has, for the most part, only changed the oil every 10,000 miles and dumped fuel in its tank. Nissan, of course, is highlighting Brian’s pickup as a way of marketing its vehicles’ longevity and toughness, and as someone who grew up in Chicago, it’s remarkable how presentable the well-used Frontier is. There is only some minor paint bubbling around the rear wheel wells—a miracle for a vehicle that’s prowled Chicago’s salty, busted-ass streets for so long.��Alexander Stoklosa

2020 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid

Chicago may be a truck-dominated show, but the fact that the EPA estimates the 2021 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid can deliver up to 54 mpg is hugely impressive. Sure, that matches the Toyota Camry Hybrid, but the Sonata looks and feels more modern. And speaking of technology, what about that solar roof panel that can add 3 miles of electric-assisted driving range every day? Also, Hyundai claims that it will beat both the Honda Accord and Camry in acceleration and road noise; we’ll have to wait a few months to test the car and prove it ourselves.—Miguel Cortina

2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8 Convertible

I’m sitting in the car I picked as I write this on my phone. Why? Because the Corvette convertible is as nice to be in as it is to drive. That is to say, it’s brilliant. And while I’ve only driven the coupe, I doubt chopping the roof off will change it much. Our car of the year is thunderously loud and easy on the eyes, and the convertible only amplifies those elements. Even in this Chicago snow, I’d drive it with the top down every single day and simply suffer the consequences. It’s not technically a Chicago debut—but what a car. 2021 Chrysler Pacifica

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Minivans aren’t sexy. But they offer best value for the buck if you’re looking to haul families and hamperfuls of stuff. Chrysler has always been the minivan king, in part because of its clever Stow ’N Go second-row seats that fold into the floor. But one of the reasons people gravitate to SUVs is for all-wheel drive and Chrysler’s vans historically offered either AWD or Stow ’N Go—not both. That changes now. It has taken a couple years to sort it out but the refreshed 2021 Pacifica brings back AWD while keeping the seat system intact with no compromises. The on-demand system has clutches front and back and the system chooses when to engage on its own. The floorpan remained intact and the overall ride height increased 0.8 inch to make room for the extra mechanical bits. In addition, the new top-shelf Pinnacle model has a suede headliner, caramel perforated leather seats with diamond patterns, nice stitching and piping, Berber carpet floor mats, a couple of lumbar throw pillows for the back seat, and fold-up infotainment screens.
