Finally.

This is the first dS fanart that I ever started, back in October 2020, only I never got further than putting together the reference pics for the guys; the thing is, I wanted Diefenbaker in the pic, too, sitting in front of Ray, whining and eager to lick his face, but I couldn't find a good enough reference pic for him (the working title was "You too, furface"). Annoyed, I moved on to something where I could include Dief and later used this Fraser face in another work ("The Road Back Home Again"). I'm not keen on using the same reference pics more than once, but I decided not to mind it this time - this was the only piece in my WIP folder that I thought I could finish in one evening and turn into a Flower Crown Day thing by sketching a cactus in bloom in the background.

Thankfully this did turn out to be an easy one-hour paintover job, and maybe the cactus is thematically appropriate in more ways than one - sometimes it takes time for things to bloom.

Hey chatters, health update. Weirdly terrible? I love writing, and reading too, but for some bloody reason I keep pronouncing things wrong, I can no longer pronounce words like “philosophy” and “familiarity” without thinking about it, and I’ve caught myself straight up messing up words, like spelling “surface” like “furface” and “eyes” like “ice,” so I have no idea what is going on with me, I am trying to figure out if I hit my head recently, but I have no recollection. I will contact the doctors tomorrow, and have an update for my many issues lmao.

My Rents are back from the States. Going to be going to the lake more.

Work is working and I want to poke people’s faces. The amount of things I fix or clean up after being off for a cpl days. I booked off June 4th to 10th. People might cry….not me, them.

Baby doggo is still a baby. We have been doing happy potty dances outside all day. He is the bestest doggo!

The cat furfaces still hate him but they are hating him closer and with less growls. Poor Chef is willing to be sniff on his cat tree, just so he can little meow at me for head rubs and forehead kisses. Stu just stares……and hard.

I could really go for a chocolate milk shake.
