#ramblings #idw sonic spoilers #SURGE HAPPY!!!!!!!!#also the rest of the issue was pretty good #sonic teasing jet as the phantom rider was really funny. boy was not holding back #also really liked the bit where it almost turned into a horror comic. where amy got scared by belle's detached hand #the art throughout the issue is incredible but that specific bit with the dramatic shadows is really good #and surge and kit getting praised by a whole crowd of ppl and their reaction to that. literally the sweetest thing #i hope that truly kickstarts their redemption arc. i wanna see them happy like that more often #honestly very excited for next month's issue i wanna see what happens next really bad

Ppl will say fanon v canon doesn’t matter and it’s all jokes and I’m sooooo close to going sure sometimes and then I remember y’all removed a major role of one of the if not THEE most prominent black character in Bruce’s story who was created a whole decade before tim and gave it to tim based off a run where he literally handed the role back! Like IN THE COMIC Tim was CEO in name only and handed it back to Lucius relieved when he didn’t need to front anymore like.

I have just finished Chapter 10 of Northanger Abbey. Some thoughts:

I kind of wish I had read this book first out of Jane Austen’s works, if only because I would have related to Catherine more

since I’m mostly familiar with Pride and Prejudice and Emma and Persuasion, and a little knowledgeable of Sense and Sensibility, (I have yet to even touch Mansfield yet, I am so sorry) I was immediately like what the heck do you mean Catherine’s got a brother

who is this man?? what is he doing here???

I’ve read too many P&P fics,,, the state of being brotherless is just so ingrained into the story conflicts and character dynamics in my head, whoops

Mr Thorpe was annoying from the first, and he has only gotten on my nerves even more (and do I smell a fortune hunter??)

Isabella is also hmm

at first I was leery of her and Catherine’s friendship because of how she’s older and more polished; I was sceptical of the sincerity of how quickly they seemed to get attached

also I get the vibe that she’s hiding something from Catherine (has she met Tilney before…?)

but if she’s really James’s love interest, then I see her as more harmless; more of a disappointment, less of a threat, I guess?

still absolutely relieved Catherine’s not overly attached to her now though

Miss Tilney intrigues me

I like her so far

might be my favourite character but we’ll see we’ll see

Mr Tilney also intrigues me but less decisively of a favourable bent

I’m kinda suspicious but idrk why

tryna withhold judgement since he hasn’t actually done anything sus yet (that I can think of)

plus I genuinely enjoy his and Catherine’s tête-à-têtes

so mostly on the fence

I am most curious about General Tilney, idk why but he is piquing my interest

the exposition about the late Mrs Tilney seems very deliberate

the whole family is just intriguing I s’pose ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

loving the writing, unsurprisingly

I put off Northanger for a long time because I hadn’t expected it to be as lighthearted as it is due to some reviews I’d read but

there do be plenty of funny parts

and of course Miss Austen’s characteristic wit is ubiquitous <3

I think maybe Kevin Day isn't so much a coward as he is self-saving and afraid. BUT I do think many of the other characters would think of him as a coward

#I'm sorry I'm behind on asks I feel like it never fucking ends #can't talk to family about it. they worry too much. cant talk to friends about it. they just start giving unwarranted (well meaning) advice #and plus they basically live with me atp with how often they're over helping me fuck do I do?? bother them more??#dude it's embaressing even if it's not chronic shit it's just unlucky shit like how u gonna have an allergic reaction & then seizure same d #idk about therapy therapists scare me. it's not a therapy issue though I'm just tired and in pain all the fucking time #one more person says “same omg” or “well have you tried-” i will start cutting peoples throat and eating their livers #you do NOT know what it's like having to write your own will before 30 like this shit aint right shit aint fair #makes me petty and shit too people who are healthy like can you just fucking suffer why do you get that freedom but not me #it just never ends #like I really fucking hate it when people say “oh you have so much to live for” because no I don't #Not so sound like a right winger gosh dang god fearer but like deadass people focus so heavily on “mental health!!” they don't #realize even if you feel better and get therapy or shit that's not gonna be realistically helpful for anything physical going on in sm #it's a cycle even if you manage 1 thing - the medications cause a 2nd thing #and that's alongside all the OTHER things you take medications for which cause all those other things #it's like multiplying and makes your body slowly deplete but like never quite die. like I know realistically I can just die anyday #and yeah it is getting worse but it's no different because it's not about that #when you're sick it's not just “OMG DYING!!!” it's like. everything else in your life dies.#you can't cook for yourself. you can't clean. you can't move. you can't hang out with people anymore. you can barely work LMFAO.#I'm REALLY close to quitting it's not even funny lmao. cant put clothes on without struggling.#do people not know it's. physically impossible. to even eat sometimes. just vomit it all up or seize.#yeah it does make me petty #rant
