Wanna talk about mischaracterisation? They’re literally a comedic duo who interacts 24/7. Marchil is crazy bc ppl are like "did those shipper read with their eyes CLOSED?? They have no chemistry!" Meanwhile canon is like: "She’s obsessed with knowing everything she can about him and she reads him like a book." In her eyes he’s like that extra rare and hard and shiny unlockable dating sim character, that brooding mysterious character trope that’s thrilling to crack open and typically is at the center of the plot. The wife roleplay???? "Hey, did you know his type is blondes. Hey did you know he likes his women pretty and blonde. Hey did you know he likes her hair. Hey did you know that he teases her 24/7 and it’s one of the few things that consistently gets him grinning because he finds her reactions cute." Like a schoolyard bully pulling on the pigtails of the girl he likes.

It’s not like they have any thematic narratives or relevance. It’s not like she’ll live to 1000 and has existential dread about it while he’s logically gonna be her next friend to die at 50 and wether it’s romantic or platonic it’ll terrify her to lose him. It’s not like it’s fear of death x fear of rejection so they’re both obsessed with the thought of loss looming, past and ongoing. It’s not like it’s half-elf x half-foot and there’s an inherent journey that was and still is to dispel prejudices and truly come to see each other. It’s not like he’s painfully real and raw and flawed but still a good man, that he’s not the figure of prince charming that she’s always dreamed of while still being virtuous and worth fighting for. Or you know, her hair being golden and it being the epitome of beauty to him, and his hair turning silver and it being Marcille’s worst nightmare.

Just a weird wacky ship who means nothing but shallow things to people who have weirdo reasons for liking it. Like can you not. If you’re not imaginative enough to think of reasons why this ship may have an appealing dynamic that’s not my issue. But yes, yes, they’re both flat asses to me, thanks.

Hi! I want to start off with saying I love your blog and it was this blog that introduced me to a new side of the Bleach fandom, so I owe you a huge thanks for that. My question pretains to when you mentioned that you read a lot of fics where Byakuya was there when his father died in the lines of duty, and I was wondering if you could recommend those fics and any other byakuya centric ones.

You're very welcome! I am always excited see new people in the fandom, especially here on Tumblr.

I want to preface this with saying that I have kind of a complicated relationship with Byakuya. He is an interesting, complex character and I like to read fanfic about him, but I hesitate to call myself a fan. I'm mostly interested in his character as it stands in relation to Rukia and Renji. I like stories where he is shitty and causes problems. I like reading about the long, horrible history of the Kuchiki clan, and how much it screws a person up to be raised in that mess. I also just like stories that make fun of him a bit. He's a deeply strange person, and I love his weird, dry sense of humor. Byakuya-shipping usually falls flat for me: I think he's mostly ace, except for the time he fell in love with his wife, and even then, I only really like Byahisa stories where the author has done something creative with who she is and I also need her to drag his ass a little. I would swipe left on him. So, anyway, take these recommendations (and the absence of ones I have missed) with that grain of salt.

The fanfic I was specifically referring to regarding Soujun dying after a mission he and Byakuya were on together was the Rise & Ruin series by @afinepiece, specifically part 2, An Education. It's a...little-bit-AUish precanon fic where Hisana is a thief who ends up getting tangled up in the Kuchiki family after she attempts to steal a painting from them. If you're looking for Byakuya fanfic, AFP is always going to be my first recommendation, especially her Thin Red Line series. Her works are always sprawling and genre-defying, but beautifully crafted. They've got noble/family drama, intricate world-building detail, and great character writing. The Kuchiki family deserves epics, and that is what AFP is out here doing.

Funnily enough, my other favorite ByaHisa writer is all the way at the other end of the writing spectrum. @thegreenfaery. She works in the AU space, and if you enjoy Byakuya Going Thru It but also being in love with his beautiful wife. I'm biased, because she wrote it for me, but The Wedding Party is my fave of her works (80's/everyone's human AU where Hisana has to rent out part of Byakuya's house for her little sister's dirtbag wedding).

If you like Byakuya in his gothic horror era, please read dogviolet by @renjirukia. It's a closer examination of some canon between-scenes during Byakuya and Rukia's Bad Times period.

I think @lucymonster is one of the best Byakuya character writers out there, and Metaesthesia is one of the best fanfics I've ever read. It's a Byakuya - Renji bodyswap, but not in a fun way. You should really only read it if you're in the mood to have your heart kicked down the stairs. I also really like Sticks and Stones and Building Bridges. Note: Most of her works are ByaRen (these are not, at least not explicitly). That's not a ship I am normally fond of, but I get, like 3 weird days a year where I can read it.

Speaking of ByaRen, if you are into it, the other ByaRen writer I like a lot is @grizmelder, who is also a very nice person. I particularly enjoyed Heart Tangled, which is a historical AU set at the end of the samurai era, where Renji is Byakuya's bodyguard.

I was just talking about Lull the other day, but it's a lovely little fanfic by Branch about the relationship between Byakuya and Rukia and sometimes Renji. It's an older fanfic and breaks off from canon after the Soul Society arc, so you can think of it as sort of an alternate idea for how Soul Society rebuilds after Aizen's betrayal.

The Journal of Kuchiki Byakuya by @saranel is a great little fic in the form of young Byakuya writing diary entries about his life, in particular, his dealings with Yoruichi and Urahara. It's really cute in general, but in particular, I love the way it portrays Byakuya's interest in photography.

I also have a soft spot for Breaking to Bridle by Vivienne Grainger, which is about how Byakuya sees Renji, both as lieutenant and eventually as suitor for his sister.

I guess I would be remiss if I didn't mention my favorite crack Byakuya fic, which is Become a Ghost by @hardlyfatal. Orihime dies and goes to Soul Society and becomes a therapist and falls in love with Byakuya. It's pretty silly but also a lot of fun, and it's chock full of Byakuya being Byakuya.

I hope you find something you like in there! Like I said, I am not the world's best Byakuya fan (probably in the top ten worst Byakuya fans tbh) but these are some that I have enjoyed and have stuck with me!

ABSOLUTELY! Decided to throw in everyone from god games as well as Hades, so this got a lil longer than expected lol. I always love doing these, & the gods are such fun characters that I’m dying to see more of! & of course I bully my faves

& Hermes is so iconic, I love his shrill cackle, that man loves a good laugh & never really holds back!

We also kinda got a canon laugh from Calypso when she giggles right after saying goddesses can’t die. I think she has a very light & airy laugh, almost like the twinkling of a bell. Very cute & feminine

Likewise, we heard a bit of what Aeolus sounds like, but that’s more of a snide, condescending laugh that she likes to use when toying with someone. Her more genuine laugh is higher pitched & more of a giggle

For everyone else, I’m going off of pure vibes

I think Athena tries not to laugh because she has a badass image to maintain, & tbh most of the other gods aren’t that funny, or at least they don’t appeal to her sense of humor. She likes more clever & dry witty comedy, which is probably why Ody’s jokes work well on her. He likes to use a lot of fun word play & his timing & physical comedy is just perfect, & catches her off guard enough to draw out a real laugh. She laughs with her full chest, it’s loud & is honestly such a bright, happy sound, probably because it’s so rare to hear. Much to her chagrin, she snorts when she laughs hard enough. When she’s trying to mask her laugh it gets quicker & higher pitched, & she usually tries to muffle it behind her hand

Apollo’s laugh is pretty similar to Hermes, but it’s a bit deeper & not as erratic & sounds like he has more control over his voice. Idk it probably sounds so pretty & smooth, almost like his laugh alone is a song & more than a few gods accuse him of faking it because it just sounds a lil too “perfect.” If you really get him going tho it does tend to take on a more unhinged & frantic pitch, & it gets real hard to tell the difference between the 2

I just know Hephaestus has a really deep & rich laugh, but he doesn’t laugh often. He’s pretty serious & he doesn’t always get every joke tossed his way, but when he does, it’s this really deep, amused chuckle that slowly gets louder the longer he laughs

Aphrodite has the prettiest laugh, it’s not as high pitched as you’d expect from her & almost has a purr to it, but that could just be her infectious, bubbly giggles

So uh, I love Ares way more than I was expecting to from his part in gg & I’m gonna simp for a sec cause I can. But Ares actually loves to have a good time & let loose! His version of that may look a lil more bloody, but he still enjoys a good time! He can still laugh & tell jokes! So I think he wouldn’t bother holding back & just belts out this deep belly laugh that can make you jump if you’re not expecting it. Funnily enough, I think he also would snort a lot when laughing, so maybe it’s a war god thing lmaoooo. He’s also prone to laugh when he’s sparring or in the middle of a fight, & that’s more of a different sound. He gets this crazed look in his eye & his laugh raises an octave & gets a lil faster until it’s this really menacing, crazed cackling that is just as scary as it is endearing

Hera doesn’t laugh as much as she used to, but when she does, it’s this sly sounding, amused chuckle. Even when she’s being sincere, it lowkey sounds like she’s making fun of you. If something actually gets her going, she’ll throw her head back & her laugh actually sounds authentic, but it still has a more smooth, controlled tone much like Apollo

Now for the big 3

Hades doesn’t laugh much, obvi, but when he does, it’s this really low rumbling from deep within his chest, & you don’t really think he’s laughing until you see his shoulders shaking & notice the smile beneath his beard. But it something’s legit funny, he’ll let out this hearty laugh & lean back & will either hug his stomach or slap a knee

Oh Poseidon, you’re gonna fucking hate me for this. But he usually has this calm, really snide snicker/chuckle he does when he’s mocking someone which is like all the time. It’s such a smug sound you just want to slap the shit outta him because it’s so obvious he’s laughing at YOU! But his real laugh has a rich tenor to it, & is way louder than he’d like. & if something really gets him laughing, it starts to get higher pitched before it starts to morph into more of a bubbly, gurgling sound until it sounds like he’s laughing underwater

It’s no surprise that the thunder bringer himself has a downright booming laugh that can shake the heavens themselves if he really lets himself go, but much like his bitch of a brother, he only really does that if he’s laughing at someone. Otherwise, it’s still really deep & loud, it just doesn’t have as much bass to it. If you listen for it, you can hear claps of thunder when he lets out unbridled belly laughs, & when he’s just chuckling you can hear a buzzing static sound like lightning

clarification: i have not watched all the way through roti. these opinions and headcanons are subject to change. also this is really long because i just went fuckin. insane about this character based off jersey shore, a show ive never watched.

i think she's very fun and i don't like how the show treats her as like, an antagonist or obstacle to zoke or enemy to zoey whatever when at most she's a little harsh or snippy sometimes. like overall anne maria is a good person who cares about her teammates. she just doesn't take people's shit!

also she has some of the best lines and line deliveries. "brick may not be attractive in any way, but he is still a PERSON." & her freaking out about "only having like 15 seconds to live or something" and immediately calming down and filing her nails as soon as cameron said it was 15 minutes. she's just so charming and fun to watch. i also like that when she's annoyed with people she'll just spray chemicals directly into their lungs and eyes.

as for headcanons this might be kinda sparse because im only just starting out on my insane ideas about the roti cast but i have some stuff

full name: anne maria bonaventura-ortiz (she's mixed chilean/italian) i kind of want to name her dad giuseppe also. it's a fun name

for now i hc her as an only child but that may change. she kinda strikes me as an older-sister type, so maybe she's got a couple of younger cousins or a little sister.

i also think anne maria would really like those memes with the cats doing dumb faces. like bingus and shit i think shed lose her mind laughing at them. idk why this is just my ideas.

once again this is just me lamenting over the contestant profiles but i think her loving romance movies is fun. considering one of her faves is a reference to titanic maybe her and duncan could have an interesting discussion about the musical chops of celine dion.... also her last day on earth plan is very sweet and funnily enough quite similar to zoeys. i really do feel there was potential for a friendship arc there but whatever. Whatever fuck everything i guess.

Hello! So I saw your post about twst ocs, I was wondering which design I should go for with a Georgette oc. I haven’t got a name yet but I’m sure I’ll figure it out! Some hcs I have for this character are as follows:

1. She tends to hide her more beast man features, like with smiling she rarely ever shows her teeth.

2. He doesn’t show any birth or beauty marks on his body. If there are any he’ll cover it up with makeup or his hair.

3. SHE IS A PEFECTIONIST. That much should be obvious. But it’s to the point she literally tries to do everything perfectly. From her writing to her grades but ESPECIALLY when it comes to her appearance.

4. He’s not a model per say but he’s been in a ton of beauty pageants. Hence getting the nickname and title of “Showgirl”, this is also kinda where the perfectionism and value in beauty came from. Because my guy is a gifted child. And he wants to avoid burn out at all costs.

5. Funnily enough as a continuation of the last hc, this sort of expectation wasn’t even placed on her by her parents or family. She became used to being the best when it came to talent shows or beauty contests. So as such she does her absolute best to maintain the image she made for herself. It definitely isn’t easy, but it’s her. Or at least that’s what she consistently tells herself.

Now below are picrews I’ve made on what the character could look like, the first one is my attempt at the most accurate to the character he’s based on.

Second is more loosely based but more of a “What would this character be like as a human” look

And finally, my own personal interpretation of what she could look like. (And by far my favorite of the designs)

But i know a too long tldr post is just gonna lose the point or accuse me of just "waffling" as the kids say these days

Anyway I always find black and white discussions about anything that's discomforting just a pet peeve

Tolerance isn't morals. But morals is complicated too. I do understand where people are cominf from. Violence that is not "Hollywood-ized" glamorized/ sanitized is just as bad as when they are as such. The way i see it, i look for intent and target audience. And even that is muddy. Anyone will pick up Barbie 2023 or Terrifier and wouldn't realize they're not the right audience, etc

I'm gonna get it out of the way that the BIGGEST issue DmC has is the fact that it's not quite as deep and searing in its political/social commentary, because it really would give us so much about the demons. Because as the story reveals, the demons have long successfully taken over the human world and leeching off of it for so long

It's their world, therefore their actions and influence had shaped this dystopia. So yes it would be so interesting to see how depraved, greedy and cruel their rule over humanity is.

And how that is a creative fictional reflection of our own very real life oppression

I'm not asking that DmC becomes a paragon of gutwrenching, revealing political, social or philosophical ripper that Ninja Theory may have wanted to do (and knowing their production process being scrutinized and under deadline, there was just no way)

But there could've been a clever efficient way about it because, yes, as fun and bold the demons' portrayal are they're mostly almost just waiting for Dante to come knocking...

We know THAT is usually the formula on the og DMC anyway. almost the lot of demon bosses are usually just waiting for the protagonist to come knocking

And i think specifically with Lilith we don't see how she operates. We don't fully see her villainy or how she is besides being a boss fight

.. and yes I'm going to talk about the Trade now......

When she does appear outside her elements, a lot of haters MISS the point that this chapter IS being depicted bleakly. Ninja Theory KNOWS that this is a very serious plot development.

Lilith's and the demon baby's deaths aren't a shock value without reason:

It's there because it shows Lilith's own human conditions and OUR ethics in handling a defeated opponent. We indeed were supposed to care.

It's also a very pivotal moment of WHO these characters are and who/what it is that they really care about.

Well in this case, it reveals Vergil's growing number of red flags. Vergil's impatience, selfishness and, incredibly, sudden lack of foresight. He's also an opportunistic asshat. And he even has the audacity to look at what he has done with horror, and tried to justify it. Even more so in the definitive edition. But dante chews him out for that

It also shows us that Dante keeps his word and he wouldn't harm Lilith nor the baby. He sees her impersonally and he's there for Kat's safety. It was Dante's plan to strike a deal with Mundus, but that's it. It was all to at least have the last remaining important people in their reisstance. And it was all supposed to go smoothly..

Funnily enough we see Mundus a lot more agitated. For someone who was supposedly uncaring and likely sees anyone under his disposal, Mundus cares for his heir. And to some extent then, to Lilith.

We were told by Phineas that Mundus doesn't care for anyone but for his own gains. Phineas si allso the one who relayed the idea about Lilith's pregnancy to Dante and what he should do with that information (and btw it has one of my fave close ups of Dante's eyes--he looks horrified at what Phineas is telling him about killing the demon baby😶..yeah even Dante feels something for demon babies).

This is probably lore terrirtory that Ninja Theory can't explain anymore (i think afaik). Surely, if Mundus doesn't care as much unless you're in his level of cruelty and systemic oppressor (but only as 2nd in command, he's number one), Mundus could've had anyone pregnant and have an heir.

He could've just Henry VIIIO his way with having multiple lineages... And yet he didn't. He chose Lilith. And personally we have no choice but to think he does care, in some roundabout way

It's surprising that a satire villain about capitalism, greed and cruelty, shows a smidge of humanity to us because he does care for his unborn heir. And his delusional statements aboit having brought order and prosperity to the human world, personally as years went by i can't help but feel sorry he can't see just how wrong he is. And it's so human....

... and sorry for this morbid joke but Mundus turns out to be more human than Elon Musk. Musk is being joked around as someone who's supposedly using his child as a human meat shield so Musk wouldn't be assassinatd

see this game.... It never stops giving. It's still relevant.. like Mundus extorting money from the President, and promises the politician power. ..Musk colluding financial rewards to ensure Trump becomes president... 😥😥😥

And lastly, the way both Kat and Lilith looked at one another as they're passing each other silently has got to be a very powerful moment. ..

like I don't get why people think this is them being used as trading meat like WTF

Like for someone who feels this is misogynistic their chosen words heavily implies something else about them, and misses the entire point simultaneously

Because this scene shows us the difference between these women. And how despite her power and influence, Lilith has been reduced to something that's way outside of her class.. and yeah I guess she's made to feel like cattle

And I'm not saying that to assuage the haters' perspective. This is Lilith realizing her vulnerable situation, now outside her comfortable dominion. And Ninja Theory depicting it as soberingly as much as they can

On the other end is Kat. And she literally comes from nothing. She's a freedom fighter and held as both a key instrument and deemed a terrorist. She's from the lower class. She's us (or you would be if you share Kat's motivations to help humanity..no judgement).

Lilith definitely doesn't deserve her sudden end, even if she is very much capable of exacting cruel revenge if she lived long enough for the story

If there is one thing I should add, DmC doesn't pass the Bechdel Test. The test isn't an ultimate golden law that supports feminism. But it is a very interesting social experiment. And I say this because the Trade chapter is the only time two female characters meet and they silently acknowledge each other's status.

I want to say this because they're basically from opposing forces, but for just that small moment Kat sees Lilith in an almost similar situation she is in. I'm definitely biased the way I see Kat, looking at Lilith with sympathy.

But also for the first time in Lilith's life, she acknowledges a human in a difficult situation.

It's a a very grey area. And it's a grey area that I think has been muddled for so long by haters or audiences looking in

This scene was never about anything celebratory. It is uncomfortable. It is done with a lot of emphasis towards the characters' motivations/goals and if their motivations/goals are going to be met, one way or another. It was a shocking chapter that I personally took a lot from even after all these years.

It probably helped i did kept replaying it then and each replay just keeps giving hints about how absurdly human these characters are..

It's too bad i do want to talk about how the devs CHOSE to make the human-passing demons look ugly

And in Lilith's case her uglyness reflects the plaatic surgery/vanity/superficiality that women have to take in order to be deemed important

And for that we have to connect this to Hollywood because it's a long standing micro-system that benefits and rewards looks, cruelty and money. the fact we have the film The Substance that just came out

And I think this whole beauty standard thing will always remain relevant because we're still a very much hyper image society.

especially in a lot of modernized competitive societies, such as South Korea, China and Japan, and quite like Singapore, India, Vietnam. I list these Asian countries because they ARE advancing a lot in the beauty market/field surpassing European and American standards. And the fact these Asian countries have values that are so rigid when it comes to their treatment of women. And ofc Kpop and Kculture

It stars Demi Moore. Who has undeniably had tons of plastic surgery. And she plays the lead role who's had to take drastic measures to live up to these expectations. And it's insane because Moore is playing a character that obviously is a horrific satire of her and her fellow female peers situation in Hollywood.

There's also the archetype/stereotype of the Good = Beautiful & Bad = Ugly

And it extends to current online discourse about "hagsploitation" but also like ... Would it matter if the characters appeared conventionally attractive or not? What does that say about our assigning of morals when it comes to appearances? Not tomention the continued villainization of old women, of vain women, etc.

Like if people really wanted to pin Ninja Theory for supposed misogyny why would they make her look ugly? But then again, wouldn't the problem be there still if a villain is attractive? So why villainize creators for making an ugly villain, but not when there's an attractive villain? And of course the fact i have to highlight this can be seen as a problem. Because both Barbas and Mundus aren't conventionally attractive either. But I point out Lilith... But hey, i point her out because this whole thing is about her character, her potential &the shortcomings...

And there is the fact that Lilith transforms and shifts herself to USE her demon child in the boss fight. So technically YES we're fighting a demon baby

And to me this is the best Show & Tell example of a character,and one of the few good things of Lilith's villainy: she's basically an abusive parent and using her child as leverage, both in her social status and favor from Mundus, and literally as a boss fight

I know it's messed up and Ninja Theory knows it's messed up. They have Combichrist singing What The Fuck Is Wrong With You and it is meta And i also speak of this as a new dad like... To me, more and more that song is just more so pointing at Lilith

Personally I love how it revels in taboo and dark topics to show us the irl abuse/negativity that certain people will do in order to maintain their power. I applaud creators who don't sanitize stuff.

I mean, and someone will probably point out it's a bad comparison but like... I'm showing my era/age,.. it also doesn't help DmC is in the right time frame of the Kardashian-Jenner empire's rise to fame and fortune.

And by now, we should know these women have done a lot and have done damage to maintain their power. And whether or not as enablers, followers or actual doers of continuous patriarchy, they've done it.

.so yeah that's all I'll say. It's actually too long now.. like disagree even further if u want but i wanna say my piece as a alternative thougt because I've been a fan of DmC. And personally I'm. A fan of dark media a lot of times because i think the more we talk about & present the dark stuff, the more we won't deny & erase the bad stuff happening.. ✌️

Hii Do you have a fave Janeway out-of-uniform look?

Ohh this is such a hard choice! There are so many reasons I like her out of uniform-- A lot of the time it's because we get to see who she is behind the veil. That couldn't be more apparent than in Resolutions, she flirts, explores and relaxes while she struggles to maintain her identity. She has like, 5 costume changes in that episode, albeit modest in design, they are quite revealing in a sub-textual way. Funnily enough, I actually would like to catalogue each time she is out of uniform and break down how it relates to the narrative etc. I sometimes ponder about the choices that have been made with hair and costume. We don't actually know much besides a few articles and scattered pieces of media--Most behind the scene information is about set design, which in it's own right is cool, but sometimes feels like it’s highlighted due to the male audience and as a result the other artists aren't valued enough. In theory, I'd like to uplift them because their efforts transform the lack frontal, narrative-body of some characters- we consequently learn things such as the fashion of the era, character’s states of mind, setting, etc, simply through what they are wearing– Do I dislike that? No. Because I understand the format of Star Trek is limited by the nature of being a 24 episode per season show. Sometimes things appear rushed or incomplete but if you look in the right direction, the work that was produced is just as rich as most shows, if not more. For the most part don’t think audiences appreciate the conditions that this show was made under.

The whole show has certainly been more impactful on the cultural zeitgeist than others and I think the reason for that success goes beyond the surface level- It’s not just a simple miracle that it works as well as it does, talented teams of actors, writers and people in costume all combined their skills together to forge it. They did the best they could with what they were given, and I appreciate the costume designers and writers for attempting to provide some semblance of substance in the background. (On another note I wish Paramount had archived their costumes better. Evil that we only get high resolution photography when they're selling them to someone's private collection)

However, to answer your actual question, my favourite out of uniform stint is when Captain Janeway is modified to look like a Klingon in the Killing Game! The disguise worked so well for me that I didn't recognise her on my first watch through.

Interestingly in the brief scene with brainwashed Janeway, we see an acting side of Kate's that is pretty rare. She delivered a unique and entertaining performance. While she has had to get physical on a few occasions as Janeway, and even other roles, she has never had to go full feral mode and I love seeing her in a way that is untethered from all of herself, she yells, bares her teeth, barrels into others, and does somersaults without hesitation. It's delightful choreography, and It immediately makes us question what is going on. Who is this? Can’t possibly be our well-adjusted hero, because whoever this is, is brazenly-fierce and in Klingon attire! But yes we find out it is indeed her, arguably a repressed version of her mind but regardless Janeway is completely transformed both physically and mentally, and that’s shockingly fun. 

Lending to that idea of fun, is the juxtaposingly detailed presentation of the Klingon costume versus the Starfleet uniform. I love the overall shapes, matte qualities contrasting with the metal details, the decorative line-work that leads the eye around, and materials such as swinging chains and fur, that make it look good in motion. From what I’ve seen there is a difference in the female and male armour, with the breast plating and bodice design. The armour’s bulky top half with its shoulder pads deliver a signature look, and it looks great against the simplified bottom. Considering Klingon’s do a lot of close combat, my guess is that it’s design is more about manoeuvrability, and boasting intimidation, rather than heavy defence. Ironically after all that ducking and dodging, ho ho Janeway gets stabbed for leaving her guard down. If I looked, I am sure I could find something to back that up, since Klingons have extremely dedicated lore. 

The makeup on Janeway is really neat too, the orange tones they used on her face make her crystalline eye colour dramatically pop. There is also a delicious parallel to her styling and B'Elanna's mother from Barge of the Dead in the episode that I quietly indulge in BUT I DIGRESS.

Despite the unusual circumstances, I wish we had more photography done of Kate in the unique costumes she wore beyond a few on set pictures, because I want to ogle at a more editorial/detailed press presentation of each one and I believe that everyone should treasure all versions of Janeway.

At the moment it’s Vienna by Billy Joel, ‘she’s always a woman’ is one of my favourites ever and Vienna just hits right as I feel like I’m behind a lot of the friends that I grew up with atm. I don’t really have one, I usually end up waking up not remembering falling asleep in the first place. I basically just wait until I’m tired enough for it just happen.

Although I wouldn’t like to change my first name, as I think it suits me, I did change my last name to my Grandma’s maiden name after she’d told me she was sad that she couldn’t keep it when she married my grandad.

Asher strikes me as the type of guy who works best with someone like himself. He works well with everyone, by his nature, but you and he would have so many similarities that being together would be wonderfully easy. It’s the big things like your extroverted natures and your compatible love languages. Being uncomfortable by the raw depictions of these topics in utena to the point you don’t wanna watch it is understandable but its not a thing against the show

12. What's the funniest or craziest AU idea you've ever come up with?

Limited to KHR? I think the Guide would win that prize since it's cracky as hell and I haven't written really written thaaat much in KHR, writing for this fandom is a pretty new developement.

If we include original fiction in the mix ... I still think the Guide is up there but I've had some crazy ideas over the years. Like I wrote this snippet about a TV sales lady that promotes household items for murdering abusive spouses (was inspired by my late grandpa buying me a knife set over telemarketing). Another story is about a girl who's been appointed to be Death's apprentice after she croaked. Unfortunately one of her first souls she was supposed to collect was the soul of a Chosen Hero who got resurrected before she could lead him to the afterlife. Because of some obscure universal law she can't actually collect the other souls on her list before she gets the Chosen One's soul, so now she's just following this doofus around on his journey to defeat the Great Evil. Funnily enough during the journey the Hero keeps dying because he's an idiot but Fate keeps reviving him because he hasn't finished his job yet. It leads to much frustration and funny moments.

Joined tumblr? Ummmm I don't really remember it's been a few years, it might have been 2018? But again not sure because goldfishbrain.

And I've been in the KHR before I joined tumblr. Katekyo Hitman Reborn was one of the first anime's I watched (it might have been on youtube even but not sure). It's also one of the first fandoms I read fanfic for so you can imagine it's very dear to my heart and I treasure it greatly.

*totally bluescreens* Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh... Favourite character huh... Thinking about it the first that came to mind was Kyoya so I guess he's it (among others I don't really have a hard favourite).

And my favourite thing about him: I guess his freedom. Kyoya does whatever the hell he wants and gives zero fucks about what other people think about him, it's a very appealing treat for me since I'm an anxious mess that tends to overthink. i was 12. my favorite tv show at the time was this old disney cartoon, "super robot monkey team hyper force go" (abbreviated as SRMTHFG or SRMTHG. i prefer the first but plenty of people use the second.) it was canceled after its 4th season and, uh. the ending was SO bad. like, major major cliffhanger.

anyway, i was looking up... i don't even remember at the time. and i discovered deviantart, and i discovered this person's OCs. read a lot about them, including some fanfic, and then eventually discovered fanfiction.net

i didn't realize what it was at first; i thought it was just a writing in general site? and i was like oh! i can share the book i'm working on! (i have been trying to write a novel since i was 10). and then as i was looking into where i would post it, i realized what it actually was. (no, the title didn't give it away. idk why.)

so then i was like oh!!! this is really cool actually!!! and i wrote my first fanfic xD

that was in 2011? so i was 12, almost 13.

and i've been reading & writing fic ever since~

i have a huge wishlist when it comes to figures and dolls bc im actually a pretty avid collector of both!

when it comes to figs two that come to mind are miyuki and aoi from totono, the figs themselves arent anything impressive but the aftermarket price is sooo insane for them that i fear i'll never get to own them!

i'll also throw a special mention to this original character figure which i've been entranced by for quite a while now and just never preordered her.

on the doll side of things as typical as it is the sweet screams monster high dolls are what come to my mind immediately! i actually did not collect mh back in the day because i was in my "im too old for kid things" phase (even though i bought ever after high dolls so make it make sense...) so there are a lot of g1 dolls i have sadly missed out on!

i have also wanted a doll of roxxi from bratz since i was a child. i had the bratz babyz version of her (which sadly i no longer own) but never a proper version of her

with dolls a lot of my fave dolls that i own are ones that my fiance got me as well ^__^);; he got me a doll of sulfus from angel’s friends, ruby from trollz, and my two favorite g1 monster high characters toralei and porter (both signature dolls) all of which are just huge faves of mine!

i think if i had to throw just one name out there though it would be my kuromi pullip doll! shes another expensive buy that i made but i really love her a lot

and as a little bonus, my biggest grail magical girl item for awhile was the melody key from onegai my melody, which once again my fiance finally found for me after YEARS of searching (funnily enough they are practically everywhere now) since i own that now its changed to the kuromi phone! which ive only ever seen one listing for which was like 600 dollars, so no thanks there lmao
