I got a bill from the local healthcare system saying I had a balance from Urgent Care. I assumed it was from when I went last year for a UTI which required labs etc but apparently it's from last month when I had swimmer's ear? It costs $175 all-American goddamn dollars for someone to look in my ear, go "oh wow, yeah that's really red", write me a prescription, and let me go?? It doesn't even cover the cost of the antibiotics bc I paid for those separately at Walgreens???

Here is a drawing of one of my favourite changes in choreography in the Australian deh production :)

During Good For You, after Alana and Jared have their little solos, Alana comes to the front of the stage and crouches down with her hands over her head, completely still. At the same time, Jared goes upstage and paces back and forth very quickly - every time he has to turn around he makes stilted and frustrated gestures as if he doesn’t know what to do with himself. I was very excited by this, as it is so unlike the broadway version of this scene where they stand symmetrically on opposite sides of the stage. Instead, Alana and Jared’s reaction to their feelings are clearly contrasted against each other. It seemed so natural too; while they move in formation for a lot of gfy, here it was like they had to take a break from the song because of how overwhelmed they were! Which only made it easier to empathise with them. The whole song was spectacular of course but this particular decision I think was very successful. I have always been intrigued by the contrast between Alana and Jared and it was really brought to the forefront in this moment.

I'm like...having a meltdown over my migraine meds. Now insurance is saying that my prior authorization has been denied because I don't meet the criteria and I have to call the appeal number. For the meds I've been taking for years.

And I'm like "...but I've been taking this for years and I've been out for almost two weeks" <- audibly about to cry.

And the poor woman on the phone is like ".....I can transfer you to a pharmacist who can talk you through...uh...possible effects of not having that medication?"

I know the effects, ma'am. The effects are I'm getting CHRONIC MIGRAINES that I can't treat and it's really hard to go to work and do my job because of it! It sucks. I'm anxious all the time because every head twinge could be the beginning of a 48 hour pain spiral that I no longer have the tools to pull out of.

God *fucking* dammit.

Not an Aro-culture-is thing but I do have a question you might be able to answer? Is there an aromantic/asexual term for this: AroAce but if I wasn’t I would be gay? It might just be homoplatonic or homoaesthetic but idk if there was a term for it that relates to being AroAce. Thanks! <3

possibly you might vibe with oriented aroace labels, like gay aroace? i'll put this out there for other folks to consider as well, but I feel like oriented terminology sounds the most applicable from my POV.
