I think I crack the lore here. Correct me if I'm wrong:

Randy (Rambley) wanted him and his friends to live eternity. With his sickness, he probably didn't have much time left, and whatever shady deal the ompany is doing without Issac's permission, he accepted without regrets. And soon his friends will join them theater they like it or not.

Side note here: I really love your chronicles Au, hopefully we get more wholesome moments.

One thing I’m surprised you got right was the fact that Randy is was ill. He spent a lot of his childhood hoping from one doctor to the next because no one knew what he had. But don’t worry, he’s all good now! The wonderful Dr. Ꞩⱥⱳɏēɍ was able to fix him right up!

ALSO something important that I want to clear up about Randy (because I think a good amount of people are under this impression): He 100% did not want his friends to end up the way they did. I’ll admit that he’s still kinda in the wrong with what he did, but he didn’t mean for any of this to happen. He just has bad abandonment issues and questionable coping mechanisms. That’s all, I’ll say for now 😊.

For those unfamiliar, these characters are part of my Cast Chronicles AU, an Indigo Park AU set in the 1960s. In this alternate reality, the main cast mascots are human employees who worked together at Indigo Park. As the story unfolds, we delve into their roles within the park and the friendships they form. However, things take a turn for the worse when they begin to mysteriously disappear, one by one.

His main outfit is from the BG3 Mystical Fashions mod! With some minor changes. The first outfit on the far left is an original one designed by me, you can see the full fit here. The other 3 are pulled directly from the game. And I could have honestly grabbed more XP He has so many outfits.

More about Tiefling Bard Finley under the cut :D (Finley is an OC of mine that has been made into a Tav for BG3, so technically this is an AU!)

Finley grew up as an urchin outside and around Baldur's Gate. He was, as most tieflings are, treated very poorly growing up and mostly raised himself on the streets. He had big dreams that could never quite be stomped out after he had found a love for music in a music box, and later, a broken lute.

He met another young tiefling named Paisley, a young boy with a particularly strong affinity for fire. With Finley's love for music and storytelling, and Paisley's magical talents, they were able to perform on the streets and do their best to keep themselves alive.... With the odd pick pocketing here and there when necessary.

Later he managed to find work in a brothel. He had hoped for it to be his first real gig as a musician, but was offered better pay for other services that he couldn't rightfully refuse from his current living situation. Only later, when he got to go out and adventure with friends, did he truly get to be the bard he had always wanted to be.

Other fun facts!

Finley does like pink, and mainly wears it to match his skin to look non-threatening. His actual favourite colour is blue.

Since tieflings face a lot of racism and comments about their fiendish nature, Finley greatly dislikes being compared to demons and devils and can sometimes take well-meaning comments a little too seriously.

The markings on his face are partially a birth mark, partially a face tattoo funnily enough. He hasn't had the best influences in friends and partners, and previously dated someone who wanted to practice tattoos with his birthmark. Luckily it's not too bad.

He was born with heterochromia and is actually able to see invisibility without casting any spells.

the pouches on his waist hold spell components and other useful items, he also has a little latch there that holds his flute.

His primary instrument is his lyre, but since it's big and potentially unwieldly at times, he has the flute as a backup. He could also sing to cast his spells, but that can be greatly effected by his condition and emotions.

He's a bard of valor, and isn't opposed to getting down and dirty with the rest of his party. His high Dex allows him to practically tank for the party if needed. And by tank, I mean just not get hit.

He's a Mephistopheles tiefling

His glasses have a loop in the metal arms to wrap around his ear to avoid losing them in combat. It's not fool proof though and still does happen sometimes.

For people who aren't familiar with BG3 tieflings, those ridges on his skin are not body modifications, but actual bumps and ridges underneath his skin that he was born with.

Of course! I kind of just wing my drawings, so it's mostly guess-work and just my guts telling me it looks good enough. Nevertheless I'll try my best to explain my process :)

Tutorial under cut!

Let's first talk about the basic types of lines and techniques! :0

There are three types of lines: single, double, and triple. The number of lines will dictate the line-weight and thickness! The more lines there are, the thicker the it'll look. The same applies for how far apart these lines are. We'll talk more about this later.

Now that we know our lines, let's learn how to use them.

Usually when I draw, converging, irregular, and overlapping lines are the most common. They're all very similar, you'll see. Standard lines rarely ever come up. Standard lines are classic doubles lines that are perfectly parallel to one another, and that's very hard to do unless you use specific tools (poly-line tool, bézier curve tool).

So, let's stick with our imperfect, irregular lines and look at this drawing.

You can see a fuck ton of examples of converging, irregular, and overlapping lines here. For example, the face stands out a lot more than the hands behind it, doesn't it? That's because the face is largely composed of closely packed together, overlapping and converging lines. Meanwhile the hands are mostly further apart doubles lines, or single lines.

It's okay if you don't see it, there's a lot going on in that drawing. Let's check out some simpler, hopefully easier to see drawings!

In the first picture, you can clearly see the converging/overlapping lines on the torso area of the hoodie. BUT you can also clearly see the separated double lines on the sleeves. The same goes for the circled areas in the second pic. You get what I mean now?

Irregular lines can also be used to represent shakiness, or general unsteadiness, like in this doodle below. You can see the "nervousness" being shown in the shaky, irregular lines of the speech bubble.

Converging lines can work especially well for folds on clothes, as well as semi-double lines.

But having double lines everywhere can make it a little hard for the eye to pick out shape and detail. That's when reinforced lines come in clutch (featuring @die-06 OC, Finley Albatraum :)

Just look at how much of a difference it made! Simply by outlining the outer edges of the most prominent silhouettes, I was able to add a bit more depth into the drawing.

Another fun little fact about double lines is that you can color in between the lines!

In this collab art I did with @froyocorp (featuring her OC, the Scavenger), it's a little hard to tell but I did the full drawing using the most standard lines as I could and making them as parallel as I could. In between the gaps of the lines, I filled it in with neon pinks, greens, blues and yellows to add a little more color :)

Ronan was born in Cambridge, England in secret. His mother Kassady had hidden him from her abusive husband — as well as the fact that he was the product of a love affair with her former suitor; Aesop. Ronan grew up not knowing his birth mother (or the fact that he had a half/twin sister); raised by his father until Sharp married when his son was five.

He had a relatively happy childhood, though Ronan always felt slightly out of place. He was not the overly studious, serious type, which caused misunderstandings between him and his strict father… especially when Ronan is sorted into Hufflepuff instead of Slytherin (the Sharp family’s ancestral House).

But as he grows and learns more about his past and his family, he begins to come into his own as he becomes a Charms prodigy and a guiding light for the next generation of Keepers 😉.

Thoughts on Indigo park chapter 1

Spoiler warning under the cut!

Alright guys so today I played Indigo park chapter 1 with my friend @theroseofazrael. And I wanted to give my thoughts on it along the way basically! Warning again spoilers for chapter 1!

Right of the bat I wanna say that this is coming from somone who watched it first and someone who played it after. So you could say I have at least 2 things to go off by

Putting this in multiple parts

Part 1: entrance

So the beginning. first of all intro cutscene was really well made and amazing to look at! Getting right put into the game, meeting Rambly for the first time was nice! (Also fun fact I did the math around the 2920 days guest absents and it's 8 years!) I liked him alot! He is cute and sweet! Love his animations and I hope he doesn't turn out evil (or at least not the AI) So we open the door with a simple puzzle and I am glad it is really just like a kind of walking simulator! Going in we are getting our critter cuff, and I was so sure in the playthrough I watched that there was one of the mascots inside the shop!

with the critter cuff around our wrist we now walk into the park and when I first saw the statue I immediatly thought "Is this a disney reference"! I liked it! going throught the tunnel and it collapses behind us. I would say I actually kinda liked that! I find it sometimes a bit more realistic if something old collapses right behind someone than it already having collapsed! Also the tunnel kinda reminded me a bit of a tunnel from my favorite theme park which I found funny!

also on a side note: I love how Rambly still tries to make this abandoned theme park sound more like that it is under construction. Deniel is a river in egypt!

part 2: The train ride

While it still plays a bit in the tunnel I put it with the train ride! Walking through the que line really helps the feeling of This was really a theme park! And while I didn't see it on my playthrough (at least I think I missed it) on SHB I saw like the tail feathers of Mollie already giving an uneasy feeling but was also a bit foreshadowing in a sense. Anyways when I was in the call with my friend, Rambly told me I would be too old for this ride and I literally said "well fuck you then". This was also still at the time where I did not realize Azra was not watching my stream, because my game crashed at the beginning and I booted it up again but forgot to stream it at the time (I honestly believe it has nothing to do with the game and more about me having too much stuff open at the time!)

Anyways we load up onto the train and off we go on our first ride! This was a very sweet introduction to the cast, and felt natural for a theme park! Meeting Mollie first I loved that introduction. I like her opimistic character as they talked (which I found also really cool that Rambly interacted with the cast during the ride!) What I didn't noticed until a bit later, down there was a door where you could see Mollie "spying" on us! I just saw how the door closed but it gave me the impression that she stalked us during the entire ride or she was like "looking around" and basically found out there is someone!

Then we get to Finleys underwater space and the entire time I was looking around if I could find Mollie somewhere again (I unfortunatley didn't see her anywhere). But then Finley say "you know me for 100 years" and Imma get this right off the bat, Mollie later on says this! I go deeper in this later on!

Then we get to a really destroyed place which thinking about it is weird! Every other place was ok looking, almost in tip top shape but this one was quiet literally ruined! It is open for alot of theories I believe, since this one was probably Salems place! it is up to you guys what this was! So off we go to repair the electricity finding a Mollie animatronic! It says one last thing about Rambly hurt Llloyd! Now this one gives me the impression that Rambly is more evil but also later on with Lloyd there is a scene that plays out. And I believe that there is more to the cuff/ the system in the park than we thought

Anyways we boot up the train again and carrie on! Next and last one is Lloyd. Here we see the first time the total distaste for Lloyd from our Raccoon! now considering how Rambly and Lloyd interact, this might be just his AI programm but throught the game, expecially the collectables, it is more to believe that this dislike isn't really programmed! So maybe that part, wasn't meant to be in a annoyed way? only time will tell! But also I knew this one from tik tok but at the end of this interaction, looking to the left shows Mollie like literally by our side coming from the courtains! I will talk about a thought when we get there!

Going out we are at the gift shop of the ride. And here I noticed that in one of the cameras we can see Molluie running after the train! We see multiple empty trains in those photos and then one in the middle with Mollie running! I believe that would have been our photo! considering all other photos are empty seats, it makes the most sense. And with mollie always popping up during the ride now and then! Now this one is more a theorie but I imagine that this photo was taken during Salems part! Maybe Mollie was chasing us, the train was just faster, and when it broke down and we went out to fix it, maybe she caught up! Then she saw we weren't there and maybe thought we ran ahead? this is really just what I have thought about this than really being a theory! Anyways i was pointing the picture out to Azra and here I noticed how stupid I was

I noticed after they told me, there was no stream, that I forgot to stream it! These entire first minutes, they did not see what I saw while I stupidly pointed out things you can only see! oTL anyways moving on to part 3!

part 3: the central area and Lloyds theater

Putting these 2 together cause I find them rather short in a way! First of going down the stairs and seeing the entire area + working and I believe opperating ferris wheel! I told to Azra that as a kid or even now that I would have gone there! I just hope they also have rollercoaster tbh! I like the adrenalin! I found the fountain actually really funny, being able to rotate like this while spitting water! Noone was save against the water! we also get to the information kiosk and to the collectables! I found it nice that we got more info about them through Rambley and expecially through our protagonist which there is one thing!

At the beginning Rambly tells us that we are a new comer/ are not in the guest data base, but looking at the descriptions it is made very clear we were in this park multiple times! I believe either, children weren't like allowed to be in the guest data base because well they were children! or because we aged and with age faces change, the face recognition didn't pick up on us!

And another thing. As I said before Rambly seems to really dislike Lloyd and with the plushies, expecially the last one we get (and old cartoon version of Lloyd) it says that Lloyd was the most popular one apperantly! or at least the company was more focused on the Lion than the Raccoon! So I believe the resentment shows that Rambly is a bit more sentient than it looks like!

Moving on, Rambly wants to bring us to the Jetstream junction but unfortunatly we need a key! And that key was in Lloyds theater. getting acess to it, we go inside! seeing the theater was really pretty! and on stage we see a sleeping Lloyd who wakes up and running away. now I wanna adress that because I feel like that they aren't really out to hurt us! after the key and getting through the section (where even if I know nothing would happen, I still anticipated it) only then when we tried to go, did he really came close enough to grab us! and that one time in the middle where he was squished under a box! And honestly i think it was also because he was like put into a croner and didn't see another way!

Here is also a funny thing because technically speaking you can get this anytime when you turn around away from the backstage area we see again Mollie! Some had it at the beginning I had it after the area and honestly I feel like it is more impactful when it is after the area!Anyways we got the key and off to Mollies place!

part 4: Jetstream junction

Now this place was really fun! We go up to rooftop racing adn are greeted with rumble having fallen onto the ride destroying it! Now I felt it was unfair we only get to ride one thing so far in the entire park! Anyways we go downstairs again and to the landing pad! or rather we should go there but off to the side is a little drinking area with an arcade machine! We can play it and it is a typical oldschool platformer! This is also where we meet Salem for the first time basically! Many also belive that this has more story relevence than it looks like. Also we get like a pixalated Ramblyberry but I think that is more an easter egg than it being exactly "canon".

Anyways we now enter the landing pad which is like a really REALLY big playground area! and we got a interesting puzzle here! simple to understand. We have blocks and need to figure out the the right combination! Easy to understand thanks to the purple block and the purple star besides it! So power goes out and we walk through the entire playground, finding all shapes and the colors to it! And guess what Mollie is with us! She is often very cose to us but never really attacks us! until after we solved the puzzle! We get our first chase in the game and the only one in chapter 1!

I died only 2 times! first time I was not expecting her to come from the front and second time I didn't knew where to jump! but overall I liked the chase! it was easy to follow and had only one moment that I thought "ARE YOU FUCKING ME?! an it is the collectable during the chase! it's not hard to see but dang I held to step back one time to get it and my adrenaline was so high holy shit!

And the ending was wow. So like I felt like with the head off it felt different than I saw on SHB. Maybe it was becuase of the pure adrenaline but I felt like they fixed the timing of when it happens! Cause with Mike I felt like the timing of the head or the distance of the jump too was weird! but maybe it was always like this. And during all of this me and Azra just went "damn she is bleeding alot" not exactly listening to Rambly saying anything about the park and stuff! But it does make me wonder what happened to the staff and expecially WHY WAS THERE FRESH LOOKING BLOOD ON BOTH MOLLIE AND LLOYD?!

Anyways we leave and soon make our way to Ocean Odyssey and I notice that is Nordic themed ! (loves it!) and after seeing a big Finley coming out there ends chapter 1!

Finally thoughts

I really enjoyed it! I don't play often horror games... actually rewrite that I never played horror games and this was my first time! gameplay wise, there were a few nitpicky things but that was their first game and for that alone this deserves a major Star because it is really good! and story wise, it got me hooked! we got enough information for anticipation withouthaving all to much said, only leaving us wondering!

Anyways can't wait for chapter 2 and see ya!

we’re already pretty blurry and experience a lot of co-fronting and layering, but as of late, we’ve noticed some patterns in terms of who fronts as a result of certain stimuli/situations.

turns out some of the relationships formed between us in headspace goes so far that they’ll (almost) always co-front together and even merge to make a blurnaut (they’ll always end up splitting back to their original forms after around 1-2 hours)

feel like I should document some of the most frequent blurnauts cuz I think it’s pretty interesting

daisy (🌼) is a blurnaut between maple and princess. they’re full of childlike wonder, is super kind to everyone, and love nature and art. they also tend to form crushes on a lot of people (although they’re usually aesthetic or platonic crushes)

domino (🎶) is a blurnaut between tyler and red, and most often co-front when listening to music. they love all kinds of music, but hyper music and songs with lots of techno sounds are their favourite (their top favourite rn is actually penny’s battle theme from Pokemon)

storm (⛈️) is a blurnaut between red and finley, and is an absolute emotional wreck. they co-front when I feel super overwhelmed, and it’s often super intense and difficult to deal with their combined emotions

midnight (🌗) is a blurnaut between finley and Something, and is basically the personification of my sadness, anxiety, and loneliness. it’s an odd pair, but they surprisingly go well together

nerd (🐍) is a blurnaut between tyler and flax, and is kinda like a special interest holder. they adore animals of all kinds, and are always wanting to learn more about animals and how the world works (if you want to send in any fun facts about biology they would LOVE that so so much)

indie (📝) is a blurnaut between maple and tyler, and are the go-getters of this collective. they co-front most during school or when we’re in public, and are very responsible and polite (even if we don’t want to be polite or nice to someone)

The youngest child of Poppy and Branch. Quiet, reserved, but extremely smart, Iris is the most unique of all her siblings, in both appearance and abilities as a Troll.

Iris was born with ties to ancient magic, magic only found in The Depths. She has the ability to heal most wounds and cure many illness by channeling a magical energy through her paws. No one knows how she got this ability, but many think it's tied to her unique appearance.

Despite her rare powers, Iris is quite shy and extremely bashful about it, not liking the attention it gets her. She's often found hiding behind Branch in public, clinging to his robes as he goes about his day. Only in the presence of her family does Iris open up a bit more.

When with family, Iris shows her more open side. She's quiet sarcastic and witty like her father, and will casually roast her older siblings at the drop of a hat.

Iris is a Pop Troll through and through, and has one of the most beautiful voices of her family. She can often be found out in the gardens, singing to herself.

Iris currently resides in Trollstopia alongside her family.

Fun Facts!

- Iris' actually inherents her appearance from her great grandmother, Prism, wife of Rosiepuff. But since there are no pictures or records of her, no one is aware of this connection.

- Iris hatched on the exact same day as her cousin, Finley, son of JD. The two are very close, and can often be found sitting in the gardens, chatting away.

- Iris has an acute sense of how other Trolls are feeling. If you're hurt, either physically or emotionally, she's just able to tell. When her siblings are feeling down, she'll often just walk up to them and hug them, no words needed.

- Iris loves embroidery. Knitting, crocheting, cross-stitching, sewing, you name it. She can even weave tapestry's, and has several of her works hanging around their home.

And at long last, the last of the Broppy kids!! Iris was my favorite to design, and of all the kids she had the BIGGEST design overhaul. Originally, Iris was sort of the "indigo" Troll to match the rainbow theme I had going (naming her after the Iris flower), but I wasn't really feeling her design, so I flipped it on its head and made her a rainbow! She kept her name, now referencing the Goddess of The Rainbow in Greek Mythology.

And Iris has magic! Iris is definitely one of the "main protagonists" of the next gen if you will. She's not the only one with magic either! Her fellow magic users will be introduced soon~ and how the magic works will be explained later down the line

Anywho...

You are right on time as we'll be updating the game soon. to a new look first (moving form twine harlow to sugarcube), as well as finally getting the next chapter up. If you've been playing on dashingdon, though, I will not continue updating the version there. (unless at some point CoG changes it's rules about publishing and allows multi-format or something, then I might port things to CS, but only time will tell)

I think by all means... Charlie's most like Hosea? Maybe? (Also, I might have said the following already, but have you yet tried naming your MC after some of the RDR2 characters?) And fun fact: Finley is, in a small part, inspired by Kieran.

As for the second ask, and while we're on the topic of Finley: I think the only characters I really have literature down for are Finley and Florence, as they share a love for adventure and mystery, as well as for what by all means falls under Sci-Fi.

As Ballad is set in the same universe as Curious Cuisine, and thus there's a multi-reality portalthing somewhere between New York and the rest of the northern hemisphere where people that died in one reality might very well end up in the Ballad/CuCu reality alive and well and sometimes years younger... I will admit that I did kinda start out imagining Hosea and Bessie to be Seán's adoptive parents. Shhh ;)

Here's a pretty amazing Sunsetter fun fact:

There's a much different thing that replaces the whole bit in the Last Corridor where you reload a bunch for keywords and a key and that stuff with Sans completely owning you via treadmill. It would instead be a bit of more serious conversation between Finley and Papyrus.

You'd only need to reload once, instead of Sans's whole multiple-times thing, and it would start with Finley stopping Papyrus before he leaves.

The two talk a bit, Papyrus finally venting about his shortcomings, and Finley both relating to and comforting him.

It ends with Papyrus giving Finley a gift. A red bowtie, which as added to Finley's sprites. It doesn't completely replace Finley's armor, but instead is immediately "equipped" onto them by Papyrus.

While it doesn't give any additional defense stat, it heals you by one HP every turn in battle.

andy (full name andy rey chavez) is not only the most normal man in night city: he’s also the most feared mercenary that has never existed. not everyone is meant to be a hero, and thank god for that, because andy is far from being main character material. he has a shitty part-time job as a cook in a generic fast-food somewhere in heywood and spends the rest of his time working as a handyman, fixing rich people’s appliances everywhere in night city. it’s a simple life, one that he’s almost content with; he doesn’t need the thrill of mercenary life, or the privilege of being wealthy, but he does wish there was more to life than cooking bad food and busting his back to unclog a pipe for someone who’ll barely give enough tip to pay rent. he doesn’t mean to become a merc, but it kinda just. happens. he needs the eddies and even working two ass jobs simply does not cover his expenses, so he finds a fixer, doesn’t bother making up a cool name like “v”, shows up in his plumber clothes, gives his actual name to the dude, and gets sent on a job to steal some intel from a businessman somewhere in city center. an in-and-out gig, no blood, barely any risk. easy. and he somehow manages to fuck it up so, so bad simply by walking into the wrong room. the moment he opens the door, a dozen men turn to look at him. they don’t look very polite, if the way they glare and reach for their weapons means anything. before he can make his exit, however, the men all turn towards each other and start pointing fingers, accusing one another of bringing in backup. from one second to the next, everyone’s weapons are out and it’s all andy can do to hide behind a couch as gunshots erupt across the room. andy sneaks out—runs out, actually, in a very scooby-doo fashion—and goes back home, his gig completely forgotten. during the following weeks, word on the street has it that a new mysterious merc has left carnage in his wake, brutally murdering many high-ranking gang members, leaving the criminal underworld in shambles. no one knows his name, but he apparently calls himself “the handyman.”  he goes back to his normal life, or tries to, hoping no one traces the event back to him. unbeknownst to him, his actions have attracted the attention of both bella, night city’s most desired flower, and finley, a fellow merc just trying to get some peace. 

that’s pretty much all i have for now!! onto the rest now >:]

fun facts:

1- he puts the bi in bitchless. negative rizz. and YET. he still manages to score not one, but TWO baddies, namely bella and finley. they simply cannot resist his loser personality. 2- he cannot drive. does not own a license. does not own a car. what he does have is a scooter just small enough that he has to bend his back in an uncomfortable position to reach the handlebar. can’t afford anything else in this economy. 3- he was once dared to get a tramp stamp, but chickened out the moment the needle touched his skin, so his tattoo consists of a single dot on his tailbone. he tells people it’s a beauty mark. 4- he’s an amazing solo dancer, yet turns into a klutz the moment he has a partner. steps on toes. knees groins. spins people into walls. he’s very bad at this. he’d rather line dance. 5- all his cyberwares are either outdated or repurposed: an mp3 in his ear, a metal plaque on his forehead from bumping his head too much and the tip of a finger from chopping it off while cooking (he got distracted).   6- bonus fun fact: while he loves cooking, he vastly prefers cooking for others. meeting bella and finley is good that way, because they give him a reason to use his kitchen for the first time since [redacted].

1- bella. she’s the malfina to his connecticut clark. she’s the girlboss and he’s the malewife. it works for them. whatever bella sees in him, andy hopes it’s enough for her to stay. 2- finley. being besties-with-a-crush with finley is the most stressful part of andy’s life, but he wouldn’t trade it for the world.  3- misty. it’s not widely known, but andy is quite spiritual. he and misty spend time together at her shop, where the vibes slap. 4- hyun-soo. kinda weird, having a friend who’s definitely got some cyberpsychosis going on, but it’s fine. they have dinner together from time to time and hyun-soo always pays. 5. river. ncpd’s only uncorrupted cop befriends night city’s most feared merc. thank god they’re both actually softies and one of them is just some loser guy.

Hello!! I'm so so sorry it took me this long to get around to answering, I started it and then promptly forgot it in my drafts for a really long time :/ This is a fun question to think about!

Alistair - I've seen people on here talking about how Alistair would be a writer post-canon, and I agree wholeheartedly. He's a natural storyteller and I think he would love the chance to channel that creativity without terrifying himself in the process. Also, the relative anonymity and privacy would be good for him in the aftermath of the tournament.

Isobel - Let my girl follow her dreams of going to fashion school! I think she'd be incredible at it and the deviation from the Macaslan "jobs" and spellmaking she's expected to follow would be good for her. Many years in the future, her designs become famous, which is perhaps the biggest fuck-you to Cormac (ppl hear Macaslan and they don't think of the "family business" anymore)

Gavin - He goes through a series of temporary jobs until Fergus is an adult so he can keep a roof above their heads, then once Fergus leaves Ilvernath for university he kind of flounders a bit. Eventually Gavin ends up leaving the city as well and gets a good job in land surveying—something with a physical, hands-on element that still requires a lot of intelligence and precision.

Briony - Everyone expects her to pursue politics or some other profession with a lot of publicity, but Briony surprises everyone by becoming an attorney. She'll never let go of her desire to help and save people, but she doesn't want to be associated with the Thorburns (minus Innes) anymore, and she's become less obsessed with the idea of being a hero. She gains a reputation for being a fierce advocate for her clients against injustice.

Finley - ???? Part of the reason why it took me so long to get to this ask was because I have no fucking clue what job Finley would have. This may be partially due to the fact that I am 100% convinced this poor boy will have the worst case of burnout post-canon that leads to several breakdowns. I also think he'll feel very aimless, because so much of his life has been about living up to expectations. Please chime in if anyone has ideas about what Finley would end up doing with his life, because I'm getting very hung up on the inevitable mental health issues in his immediate future.

Elionor - She becomes an engineer and specializes in integrating magick with otherwise mechanical designs. She barely makes it through her internship because of her attitude, but she becomes known for her creative and innovative work.

Carbry - Carbry becomes a professor. What better way to make a life out of learning, and bestowing it upon others? He does a lot of hands on research focusing on the history of curses and other magickal occurrences.

Hendry - For a while, Hendry isn't sure what he wants to do with his life, especially since he's never had any of the normal experiences that he's heard about up until this point. He encourages Alistair to pursue writing and tries out a few different paths before opening up a small indie bakery. He gets a few opportunities to expand but never takes them because he wants to keep it a warm, homelike setting where you can taste the love that went into every pastry.

Reid - Reid never writes another book. He keeps the MacTavish shop running, but years down the line, he moves more into the research aspect of cursemaking and develops some theories that he handles more responsibly than his previous experiments. Some of them get studied academically and developed into modern cursemaking/breaking advancements.

Diya - Of course I had to include her :) Diya rightfully tells the spellmaking society to fuck off and starts to do her own thing. Ten years down the line and she's known throughout Kendalle for being one of the best magickal fixers.

Well, since I went through the trouble of making a tiefling Finley reference I had to also make a tiefling Paisley one!

It's a little less intuitive but that just gives me options to draw him more later~

His main outfit is the robe of summer from bg3 his other outfit is from Dragon's Dogma 2. Paisley isn't as much of a collector of things as Finley is and only has a few outfits, his most valued and most valuable items are his glasses and his staff.

More about Tiefling Paisley under the cut! (This is an AU version of paisley used as a Tav in Baldur's Gate 3 and a pawn in Dragon's Dogma 2 [I use my imagination for him to be a tiefling lol])

Paisley grew up as an urchin outside and around Baldur's Gate. He was left without a family and later found Finley, another urchin tiefling on the streets. They became fast friends and reliant on each other. The two of them did street performances together for change, and did the odd theft or pick pocket where needed.

It's not uncommon for tieflings to be adept with fire, and Paisley certainly got a huge helping of it. He's had an obsession with fire ever since he was small and his skills have grown with him. Paisley is practically a fountain of magic, he has very good control over his fire and can even heat himself up to dangerous burning temperatures, but he is also prone to wildmagic bursts which can make things rather chaotic sometimes... most of the time.

Paisley's a ball of fire, both adventurous and curious but terribly nervous and anxious. It's an odd mix that has him stopping and going constantly. When in doubt: Fireball!

Other fun facts!

Paisley's favourite colours are red and orange, yellow too... really anything that reminds him of fire.

Paisley isn't as put off by ignorant people who dislike tieflings, they aren't worth his time so he'll go elsewhere... and when in doubt: fireball

Paisley is absolutely covered in splotchy and speckly freckles from head to toe hoof

Paisley's very kind and friendly and really likes being helpful to others, but his odd personality and penchant for fire can make it difficult for him to connect with others

Paisley is a wildmagic fire sorcerer, he has a few other spells up his sleeve but if there are any fire spells he could be learning, you know he has!

Silencing Paisley doesn't work as he can still cast a large portion of his spells. He can also breathe fire and super heat himself so binding him is not easy either.

When he has very strong emotions, especially when in distressed, a small fireball forms between his horns. It's a dead giveaway for when he's overwhelmed or scared

Paisley runs very warm on average and isn't quite effected by heat or cold like others are. His internal fire can usually regulate him very well, even in very cold temperatures

Hi! I’m Max, the host of the 80s Rewinders System, a DID system. I'm making this post for our system. My pronouns are they/he. I used to call myself Finley.

Our system uses the collective pronouns they/them. We don't want to share who most of our alters are. If an alter doesn't want to let people know who they are or when they're fronting, they won't and usually we don't. We don't really use signoffs.

We are a dissociative identity disorder system that developed when the body was 3 from sexual abuse, but we've been abused in different ways for most of the body's life. Cultural differences and relationship negotiation are some of my favorite aspects of these books. I would also enjoy a case fic (solving a new mystery) if you feel so inclined, something domestic post-canon, or exploring some part of life in this setting like holidays. Smut is welcome. I enjoy how this series handles trauma recovery, and would be happy to receive something in that vein.

What is going on with these two and their secret affair that only Stephen's character knew about!? I love the absurdist tone, their constant changing of their own names and continuous references to other characters and plotlines, and the fact that so many of the ones we do hear about don't make sense. ("So who is your real father?" "I am.") Write me something weird and silly! Smut is welcome. Next Stephen's character will have the decency to do it to Hugh's character's face, etc.

I love all of the canon couples, the Blyth sibling relationship, and the Maud-Hawthorn "friends whether he cooperates or not" dynamic. Some of my favorite things about this series are: the magic, the warmth and uniqueness of all the relationships (romantic and not), and the attention to art and technology in the Edwardian period. Case fic (solving a new mystery), date nights, smut, or fics following a single character are all favorites.
