i hope you're already asleep it's so late for you but on the topic of the finale ending honestly i understand why people are so upset by it, i think it royally sucks, but imo it was created entirely because they really needed some way to wrap things up and i think almost everyone would agree that it shouldn't have and wouldn't have ended that way had things been different and had the server not needed to end so abruptly.

like idk you KNOW i'm a canon compliant guy but for this thing specifically i genuinely don't consider it canon and think it should fully be ignored, and i think basically everyone involved would be fine with that. also honestly in my mind everything purgatory and after is non-canonical in that it shouldn't have happened either and the reset is definitely not canon so that makes it easier for me to ignore it completely. i think what players and admins stated about their characters is canonical within reason and otherwise i don't think any of it matters all that much because of how the server ended. like to me i know the reality is that that is how it ended and we don't have any other ending to go off of but because of the circumstances there's just no way i could consider it canon and i already spend all my time dreaming up ways to rewrite all the shit that happened before then, nevermind a garbage hastily written ending that only wrapped up one plot thread (the eggs) and didn't even do that correctly (it completely retconned so much about the eggs and i know a lot of lore got retconned and changed over time but it's particularly agregious).

idk where i'm going with this insane rant in your inbox i really don't i just wanted to give my thoughts on that ending and how i take it as a fandom creator because i often see people treating it like it was a legitimate ending even though they hated it and i'm like this is fandom!!! we can ignore it entirely!!! in fact many characters' endings explicitly defy that ending, that was just the way to wrap up the idea of the egg event in some way that made sense. i totally get people being upset by it, i was too, but i was also upset by the previous. five months? of stuff so i kind of can't be bothered to be annoyed by this particular thing.

again this is nonsensical i'm just saying i think we should all ignore it and i've been saying that since the day of bc it was just so obviously not the kind of ending that would've been written under different circumstances. let's all make up better endings forever and ever amen.

that was another point i discussed with someone els where yeah it sucked because they had to wrap it up and “tie everything together” so i agree on that. everything with the qsmp ending wouldve been different under different circumstances.

Macbeth’s guardian, Roulette, is a moderately famous entertainer. While not being infamous, Roulette was popular enough that most people of heard of their shows, typically including other pet humans Roulette owns.

Because of the industry Roulette is in, She has made it her mission to make every of her pet humans as entertaining and eye catching as possible, to train them to be the perfect alien entertainment.

Being raised with this mindset, Macbeth is an actor in every part of their life. To them, nothing matters more than what the aliens want from them. Because of this, Macbeth seems to have lost any semblance of a human, acting more like a doll that can easily change their personality on a whim.

Roulette was most proud of Macbeth, as Macbeth was the only one to fully be able to turn themselves into entertainment, while the other pet humans always were able to keep a part of their humanity.

The other pet humans described Macbeth as creepy, unsettling, and unable to tell what was on their minds. When they spoke to Macbeth, it didn’t feel like they were talking to a human.

Because of Macbeth’s subservient attitude, many of the other humans picked fights with them, as a way to reach out to them but this only led to Macbeth hating them and growing more detached from them.

Part 40

Ok so I've slept on it and have a few thoughts now.

First, I'm glad HG decided to tone down the emotional intensity of drama and tragedy - I thought it's gonna be difficult to listen to the finale after some s3 episodes, but s4 was mostly ok and the finale turned out to be lots of fun! I was smiling widely for the most of it. It even made me somewhat like Kayne! A little bit but still!

Second, we didn't "see" Noel die - great, he lives until proven otherwise. Arthur survived a similar injury, people in this universe are surprisingly durable. Noel lasted this long with a neck injury and didn't die - if Kayne didn't yeet him to some wilderness or worse, he'll live. Possible to pol up later.

Third, I thought Arthur was robbed of all his newfound allies, but I was wrong. Daniel and Marie are still in the picture, so Arthur has human "anchors", he's not alone anymore.

Who Arthur WAS robbed of, are allies who can go with him. Oscar is in the hospital and is abandoned in general, Noel... who knows where, and the surprising newcomer in Butcher's face is obliterated. It reminds me of how a lot of official "uncanon" spin-offs of different show return to status quo in the end of he series because they need to keep the cast the same and otherwise the whole outline of the show may change a lot. I'm not sure if that's the case with Malevolent since... yeah, we had a full season of a wider range of characters, but they were concentrated in the same location, which was convenient. How would this work in other cases? Plus, Arthur and John wete going on a vacation trip without anyone else anyway. Also, damn you Kayne for ruining this! They deserve the vacation!

So all in all we're back to where we started, more or less. It was a neat wrap up of the season, together with the location, new characters, some side quests and even a few answers (wild, I know).

For instance, now we know Yellow actually WAS the King in person. Seems like John is rather a big piece of him if Arthur didn't even notice any difference in the entity at first. I kinda liked my idea that Yellow might have been Kayne's creation completely, a simulacrum just for funsies, because Kayne's idea of fun is cruel. So there would have been Arthur suffering from loss of his dear friend and dealing with this ye olde version if him, John suffering either in Dreamlands or in the Dark World, and Yellow, suffering from all the confusion regarding his identity. Imagine how painful it is after all the efforts to remember, to be what you think you were, just to find out that you never were in the first place. All the "I AM THE KING" gone sour and groundless. That might have broken a newborn consciousness of Yellow, his adopted identity. But he also could have explored it and become something new altogether. Man I'd like to read a fic like that.

But he's the KiY, which is why not, too. He has some new info to work with. New lasting impressions to process. I bet those little adventures in the human world and time with Arthur, time with Larson, short and heated but still... connected argument with John won't go without a trace. Damn I wanted them to talk properly SO BAD and now we're unlikely to get it, ever 😭 But at least there was John, clearly uneasy with the idea of killing Yellow. I don't think it's just his concern about himself vanishing as well. He souned rather sympathetic towards Yellow when they talked about him with Arthur. This warms my heart.

Right. There are 3 things related to this.

John's attitude towards Yellow and the King (Yellow still has amnesia so I can't consider him the King, the personas are different) in pt 40, towards the complete separation from them reminded me of going full no contact with abusive/toxic family. It's hard, and one would often wonder if they survive on their own. Arthur having faith in him didn't ensure anything but helped, I think.

The King and John are fully separated now, so John must be safe-er (if Kayne didn't lie) and his journey is more his now. It isn't even remotely perfect since he's still stuck with Arthur but it's still good news. And I believe they don't have to worry about the King anymore. If he regains his memories, he'll know John is of no use to him anymore, and there's no use to try and hunt these two down since they'll win SOMEHOW eventually, anyway. They have powerful patrons. *wink wink*

Maybe some time later, like, muuuuch later, they will be able to talk properly. Like equals. To exchange experience, impressions. The King values art and knowledge, and so does John. I believe his curiosity is an inherent trait they both share. C'mon. The King is too possessive to let such a chance go. GIMME THEIR CONVERSATIONS I NEED THESE

Also, I'm concerned about Larson. Sure he's half-dead (seriously, 3 gunshot wounds in the body - stomach and back, - strangulation, eye snatching, and he's STILL alive, can he just roll over and die please? As a treat?), but physical form has never been his forte anyway. He successfully brainwashed Yellow and tried to do the same to John (ahaha that was a funny attempt, well, would have been, be John not losing himself at the moment, but the outcome was still pretty much predictable and laughable), his power is in his mind. His words are poison, and he can still speak. I am NOT ok with that. With what he can do to Yellow/the King. What if he talks him into something terrible again. Leave my bby be ffs, Yellow deserves some peace and quiet of his home in Dreamlands. Seriously, Larson is terrible to children and I've said it multiple times that Yellow really reminds me of a rebellious teenager.

Next, I've missed the first 5 minutes or so, so I don't know if it's relevant, but CAN SOMEONE PLEASE explain to me like I'm 5 what was up with the Butcher? It was the most out of blue twist ever. Why did he agree to help? Why did he go against Larson when he was so persistent before? I understand maybe admitting defeat and a respect towards Arthur and Noel who caught him, but helping? Was he promised to be set free of smth? I'll relisten fron the very beginning but uh will it really clear thus up?..

Also. When I said "some answers", it was really just a few. We still have no idea what's up with the 3 soldiers, that woman in the woods, the stone. Is Kayne going to show something about that?

And do we just leave the ultimate purpose, the separation device, sitting in that underground place, just like that?

And I did NOT like how defeated, lifeless Arthur sounded when he agreed to go with Kayne. What's the big deal?? He KNEW John was hiding something, knew it was important, could deduce there was some lie due to Johns intense interest in white lies topic, and it wouldn't have been a stretch to assume John really DOESN'T LIKE lying to him if it can be helped and wouldn't harm them (intentionally). Which, it couldn't. All this, prior to Kayne's appearance. All that conversation did was fill in the blanks. Now Arthur has a clear picture. John didn't say anything that could put a blame on himself. If anything, his actions and behavior make so much more sense now. Arthur is WELL aware about the fact that being left alone in the Dark World is John's WORST fear that came true and lasted. It was one thing to end up there the 1st time. Terrible, traumatizing, but how much WORSE it is to be thrown there again after John learned what it's like to NOT be alone, to be himself? To have hope? Just to lose it all. He called to Kayne only after a long time, when there was nothing to hope fore anymore and he could stand it any longer. Did he hope for Arthur to find him? Even if just a little? Just for that to never happen? And then Arthur's words in the mines, about "let's find each other there". Damn, my heart 💔

I understand Arthur may be somewhat shoked and there was no time to process, but if he's gonna be bitching up bout ANY of that, I'll be angry.

It just. It's the only explanation I can find for why he sounded so... like he gave up. Like the backbone he was relying on betrayed him. When none of that actually happened.

Today I had the stupidest of dreams, but I think people around here enjoy reading that kind of stuff so:

I dreamt I was in my village apartment watching a VHS movie (this context made it feel SO real because we have an actual VHS player that still works irl) and the movie in question was an Osmosis Jones sequel.

You can't imagine how realistic that shit was, like... The animation was so freaking good I genuinely asked myself in the dream if I had seen that movie before even remembering there is no such sequel apart from the TV show.

I can't remember what the movie was about BUT I can tell you it was FULLY 2D animated and it reminded me of those 2000's disney sequels that are so strange that feel uncanonical LMAO. All I remember is that the characters that appeared were Ozzy, Thrax and a made up character (maybe a germ?? Don't know, he was a nice dude tho).

For some reason, the three of them were planning something? But it seemed like Ozzy didn't want Thrax there and Thrax was planning smth evil on his own but tried to look like a chill guy. I remember the made up character telling him "Yeah!! I love Dragon Ball" and Thrax was like "cool".

And it was so ridiculous because when Thrax's revealed his actual plans he said smth to the made up guy like: "you better stick to what I say if you want to keep liking dragon ball" WHAT THE HECK HAHHDHDHD And btw, Thrax said at some point "fuck" and I remember me saying "YAY, THIS TIME THE MOVIE IT'S ACTUALLY PG 13" LMAO🎃🎃🎃

At some point by the end of the movie, the VHS was broken and couldn't play what was left. It's so funny to me to think my brain can imagine all that but it doesn't want to give it an actual end.

I've watched ATLA in 2020 and I didn't cling onto it due to the mental issues I had. A really beautiful and flawed show didn't fully get through my head back then - which is suprising! Because nowdays, everytime I re-watch the show, the lines are so well done and hits me to the core every time. I became a better person because of the show! I still have issues but they're somewhat mangable.

I've became such a huge fan of Roku around late 2023 due to a popular creator named Kyoshist and he's definitely one of the characters of all time. At least, to me. He's so interesting that I would jump out of my chair every time he appears fully on-screen. "The Avatar and The Fire Lord" episode really had me on chokehold as well, as it explores Roku's character even more alongside with Sozin.

While, yes, Book 1 tends to be forgettable because it is the start of the show - Sozin is actually merely mentioned, given the fact that he named the comet after him. He is reffered as "Fire Lord Sozin" by Roku and then later in Book 3, he is reffered as "Prince Sozin," "My Best Friend" and "Best Man."

In comics, Sozin is called as a "brother" to which I deemed it uncanon because the writing in the comics really made me believe that's where Roku is getting the hatred from because he is kinda.. out of character? He seems agressive and insistent which is nothing like Roku at all, while I appreciate the warming hug between Aang and Roku - I'm still infuriated with what they even wrote about Roku.

Moving on, Rozin is also a ship that just goes hard. So hard that there's at least I made various different alternate universes about them, whether it be the good, the bad, and "whatever the hell is this." There's this Castlevania [Netflix] AU, where Sozin is Dracula and Roku as Lisa Tepes.

When they first both met, Roku comes to Sozin as he was researching to improve medicine and wanted to become a doctor. Initially, Sozin threatened him due to his distrust of humans. It surprises Sozin that Roku showed no fear towards him, and instead encourages him to travel like an ordinary person to see that the world is constantly changing. Roku showed him some worthiness in humanity and influenced Sozin. Finding a man he knew for a little somehow manages to enter his heart, he welcomed Roku to his home while bowing to him.

Eventually, they get married and had a son together named Azulon. To his husband's requirement, Sozin traveled across the world to learn more about people and mankind. During his travels, he met and befriended two people that become his allies. However, the joyous days between the family comes to an end. Roku was accused and arrested for "witchcraft," their little home burned to the ground as he is been dragged to the town square, where a bishop had him burned alive at the stake. Even though fire burned around Roku, he pleaded to Sozin not to take vengeance upon on the people, for they do not know what they were doing.

Unfortunately, Sozin did not hear him.

Shortly after Roku's execution, Sozin discovered their little home no longer a home but burnt to ashes. He learned from the woman who was a client of Roku, who told him about his execution while laying down the flowers as she couldn't bare to watch him turned into a charred corpse. Furious, Sozin ultimately left his human identity and warned the woman to take her family with her to leave this place before teleporting away in a pillar of fire, It is to honor his love for the man who had tried to teach him to care for humanity. Soon after, Sozin's visage appeared to where Roku is reduced to nothing but flames. He judged all humanity, promising them that he'll wipe them all for their crimes while granting them make peace with God/Agni (?) within one year. Upon learning that Sozin had begun summoning an army from 'Hell,' 19-year old Azulon begged him not to kill the innocent people for retribution, Sozin did not listen. Azulon fought him but was swiftly triumph over, leaving him with a nasty, huge scar across his chest and was allowed to leave afterwards.

I put this in "what the hell is this" category of AU's because I have not watched Castlevania for a year and I'm planning to re-watch it while also beating myself up internally that I also need to watch Nocturne as well! I kind of just copy-paste from the wiki while also do a little synthesis and try to made it from my own writing. I'm really into the word-building, the characters, the religious themes, It's so.. AAAAAAA. Like, I want to talk about this to anyone but I am also the same person who'd put ATLA characters in an aussie cartoon called "Bluey" or play dressing games so that I could make them all, like, okay..

..I have no idea what I'm even rambling about and I probably got you guys also confused as well. So, to end this ridiculously long confession about my obsession with the Rozin ship that somehow found me, Trans (FTM) Roku rules because I'm Trans and oomfs if you know me, you don't! I am a coward!

giant vent about how people are talking about dt you've been warned

"i don't like the focus on wuk lamat" good for you! she's a leader and will likely be shelved before the end of 7.x! i still cannot escape the scions after they fucking disbanded despite being on a new continent, so you don't get to whine abt this if you're also going to crawl up my ass every time i say the scions never fucking off made ew worse and impaired my ability to give a fuck about shb! ew had two non-twins characters i deeply cared about at all going in, and it killed off both!

i am so. fucking. tired. of most of the scions. the one scion i did not think needed a break due to overexposure got a proper break (it was a funny break so i didn't mind at all and it keeps him from getting overexposed too, but it's notable that he was the only one besides the twins I wasn't ready to see the back of by the end of 6.55), and the one i most needed to not fucking see for at least one major patch got a fully voiced cutscene focusing entirely on him and the wol. the scions are part of the weakest part of this expac, which is the fear to let new shit stand on its own.

like, even the twins have been around long enough that they could stand a long-term break, which would even give an excuse for them to elongthen them.

maybe if they actually give them proper arcs or ever let the writing acknowledge that g'raha is a fucking asshole (and still is in dt bc jesus fucking christ that is not a question you ask the fucking wol and he should fucking know that, he had to have at least read about the bloody banquet, the waking sands attack by livia, the entry of azys lla, or the raid on the vault at minimum, even my uncanonical levels of cold bastard main had people he cared about die at those events it is ABSURD what the writing lets the cat get away with saying without even a "dude what the fuck" option) i might accept them having major screentime again, but until then they can piss off and we can have more newbies or heavily underserved oldbies

like. to go back to the first point. think about how often characters show up after they become leaders. Lyse and Aymeric both almost completely vanish after their respective x.3 (hell, lyse vanishes before then). wuk lamat has been chained to tural, even with the doubleking situation she's going to be wanted at home--aymeric isn't sole leader either, remember, and lyse isn't even the one in charge of the entire nation and she's still heavily restricted. dealing with her for not even a full patch cycle is not going to kill you any more than me having to see g'raha and emet constantly trotted out as my wol's narrator-enforced besties killed me. she showed up in the second half for the same reason aymeric, raubahn, and lyse show up after they are removed from focus: because there's a FUCKING WAR involving HER COUNTRY.

they aren't even setting her up as the major focus for the patches! they set her up for a fucking GOODBYE. erenville has gotten more teasing hints at having long-term focus! you weirdos!

i would be less annoyed about this if some of these same people hadn't crawled up my ass over not liking the scions focus of shb and ew. yeah, trial of a silent protag is we need people to talk for us! sometimes that means we get stuck with people we don't like! but at least yours WILL GO AWAY. the characters i actively dislike are hanging around like a pre-antibiotics tuberculosis infection and it only makes me like them less because i'm not allowed to ever express dislike of them even when they're being shitty or i should generally be allowed to express distaste, while at the same time characters i liked don't even get neutral options, it's all two mostly-identical ways of saying "boo i hate your pussy".

idk. i feel like people are only noticing flaws that have been there since the beginning bc we have fun spunky girl and her tragic foil who is also a girl in front instead of the scions and a moody guy, assuming they're making their case in good faith at all (which many are very obviously not, since they're somehow unable to perceive character development that is incredibly obvious).

(it is. incredibly frustrating. to have actual complaints. like the return of world-ending threat stakes, the hamhanded way callbacks were done, and the reluctance to actually grapple with the implications of [finalzone]. and then see absolutely nobody else having them bc anyone willing to talk just wants to bash wuk lamat and sphene.)

just. god. if you don't see your wol as an auron, fine, but don't pretend they were less vital to how this expac played out than any other expac, or that they were sidelined compared to elsewhen. the wol is a vital pillar for how wuk lamat turns out over the expac and wuk lamat taking the spotlight in a few scenes doesn't negate that the wol is still at worst the second-most important person in the room. and given the cultural context of the new zones? the writing would have been WAY WORSE if they were the one doing everything.

or like. just the general expectation i've seen repeatedly that something doing setup will pay the same emotional dividends as something using that setup as a launch point. which, you can crit it as-is just fine god knows i'm willing to bitch about stuff that's probably getting more focus in the future, but if you're going into something where the constant refrain from devs and ads and even the game itself going in was "beach vacation (gone wrong)" and "please temper expectations" and expecting it to blow your mind uhhhhh i don't think it's the writer's fault? they were upfront that this was not going to be huge in terms of like... massive recontextualization and targeted emotional blows like shb was.

i really do think a lot of the hate of dt (rather than dislike) is just. bigotry. there is nothing major done poorly here that the rest of the game hasn't handled poorly and usually worse before (if you try to tell me the ff9 stuff was done worse than the nonsense ff4 shit in ew i will slap you, as someone who has gone in with about the same level of familiarity with both and zero nostalgia for either). the one exception i can think of is, like, Erenville's name and the aforementioned turning a blind eye to the deeper implications of [finalzone], and nobody bitching about dt as a whole mentions those as reasons to hate the entire expac. it's all wuk lamat and the wol not being in the spotlight!

I wasn’t very sure but what I found was it a power of like controlling nature like Rocks, Forest, Basic nature stuff so I will definitely base this more off of Like Earthy stuff because it may fit better for me! so I will try to make it gender neutral as much as possible but If I ever use any female or Male pronouns please tell me so I may fix them!

Hanzo

That the First thing that comes out of Hanzo Mouth, his eyes are widen in shock as he just impressively stares at the Vines you Produce to trap the Assassin who came to try to kill You and Hanzo. Hanzo tried protecting you and getting you out of harms way but that another shock that came through when you just stubbornly pulled away and trap the vines around the Assassin.

Hanzo casually come up and poke at the Vines for a minute before turning back at you and raising an eyebrow giving you a small “ You Serious?” Look as you nervously let out a giggle, “ what was I supposed to do? Let him try and kill us with a gun to the head?” You let out a huff which made Hanzo give you a more wild crazy look. He already knew about your Special powers, There were multiple times on a mission where he couldn’t find you only to realize your sitting right next to him camouflage because leaves and flower had come up to protect you in there nature embrace. There were a lot of embarrassing times he had come to you to ask you to make a flower bouquet for His Special someone. He always made sure to thank you so much about it while you were in his presence or went out on a mission with him.

Every time you went outside he would see you grow vegetables and Seeds for animals which made his art Melt. He started being very overprotective of you and when you grew frustrated he also became frustrated. You were like his best friend! You didn’t deserve to be dealing with that especially when you’re the most kindest person known to man kind. As your power grew stronger and more uncontrollable he introduced you to Zenyatta.

He asked Zenyatta to help with controlling your nature powers so that you don’t looks control over them or yourself.

She already froze the enemy in an iceberg as she checked on you when she looked at how pretty the vines was she gasp and admired the Beauty of them.

“ Snowball! Look these vines, these flowers! There so beautiful, look how special this is.” She would gasp as she spins with snowball in her hand. “ this is incredible absolutely magnificent Why didn’t you tell me?!?”

She would be definitely so excited about discovering power gasping and begging you to do more! If you look uncomfortable she would definitely stop and apologize to you multiple times as she secretly keeps admiring your power.

When you guys are at Overwatch base you guys would start doing experiments with her cyro and Your nature, to see how you guys could make more effective damages to enemies without harming them as much.

She very excited to have another friend on base it gets incredibly lonely when everyone else is busy so being able to interact and have another friend makes up her old friends who she misses.

She very much appreciated your presence and how much you have changed her life in a more interesting way. Your the first person she actually seems to be able to understand her point of view and you always seem to show her your intelligence in a different manner then she ever understood.

Symmetra is all about perfection but you balance her out perfectly. You make her a knowledge that while she may not be able to always be perfect and that okay! She slowly starts letting her barrier ( literally.) down and letting others into her life, the people who may have disperse from her life long ago aren’t like that, she found her family the place where she can be herself.

She is much grateful for that and sometimes out of the blue when she feels emotional she just comes to hug you when she finds you and thank you for all you have done for her. Even if you don’t think it much it a lot for her.

like the thing about due south seasons 1+2 is that if you got into due south and you latched onto those seasons, it’s because you were in love with the specific characters and their particular, unique relationship. because if your main interest was just fun, conventionally attractive guys being homoerotic together and well-written gay fanfic about same, you got into seasons 3+4. seasons 3+4 had the fandom content full of fanon, fic that built ontop of fic built ontop of fic, etc. the show lent itself to that kind of environment by feeling more sketched out rather than fully fleshed out imo, it invited people to project their own interpretations. that’s not necessarily a bad thing either, lots of people loved that vibe. it wasn’t for me, but i could see the appeal. and it kinda siphoned off everyone who wasn’t intensely attached to the character specifics of the first two seasons.

otoh i don’t think mash does that, i think mash is pretty specific and fleshed out in terms of character and vibe and interpersonal relationships, but i’m just saying, this current wave of mash fandom was started by a group of bnfs infamous for getting into ships based on their ability to project a certain dynamic onto them lol. if you’ve ever heard the terms absolute nightmare and sweaterboy, they were coined by the person who started the beejhawk rennaisance, and their circle was never particularly shy about comparing beejhawk to their take on johnlock among others.

so maybe it’s just not that surprising that ray v almost always feels like himself in fic, regardless of which aspects a writer emphasizes or what kinds of headcanons they have, while hawkeye often turns into an awkward delicate headache of a man who has to be carefully maintained by his generically perfect babysitter boyfriend. even outside that circle a lot of the fanon has trickled down through fic and tumblr posts.

(and ofc this isn’t to say that people can’t have different valid takes on characters esp in an 11 season episodic sitcom with occasional iffy characterization, yadda yadda yadda, but yk. as a very common very uncanonical ship dynamic with an obvious origin point if you’re like me and backread popular blogs when you first get into a new fandom...)

Ok hear me out. I don't want Spirk to become "canon".

I don't want it made "uncanon".

I want, what I believe Roddenberry wanted. I want Star Trek to encapsulate t'hy'la.

I want to look at their relationship, and as someone whose never had a sexual or even deeply romantic relationship (despite having dated) to see Spock and Kirk and go "I understand that. I feel that towards my t'hy'la. It is fully platonic w/w friendship but I understand that bond. I feel that bond. Seeing it represented on screen makes me feel so seen."

And if others see something different there... Well that's why we have t'thy'la.

Because different people see things in different ways.

Different groups feel represented by the same relationship.

Putting an official or canon label on it would cheapen it.

Every definition of t'hy'la has merit. Every definition of t'hy'la resonates with someone.

If they made anything canon other than t'hy'la it would add less representation not more.

This theory makes sense at least to me.

I'm not believing on it, neither putting hope or expectations cause I've done this multiple times and I can count in my firgers how many fan complex theories turned out to be true. Buuut I thought it was really interesting and it does make sense as mostly of theories and it would be perfect if happened in the story cause the way I see the sequels would still be canon but in a different timeline. A lot like the multiverse in MCU now, we have multiple timelines and they all are canon. I say this cause I never liked the idea of them uncanonize it because of Carrie, was her last movie and my first time watching a Star Wars movie in cinemas, but at the same time I truly sincerely dislike the movies because of what they did to Luke and to Anakin.

But anyways.... the theory:

You can watch the theory being fully and better explained in this video below from this guy who probably is the one who come up with it, but I will try summarize to those who can't, don't want to watch. Spoiler of Rebels, The Mandalorian and the Sequels ahead.

It's all comes down to Ahsoka and the World between worlds. This happens in Rebels. In season 4 Ezra use the world(kinda a "world" connecting all time and space from SW universe) between worlds to kind come back in time and save Ahsoka from Vader in Season 2.

According to the theory, in the sequels timeline Ezra didn't save Ahsoka and she died. Because she died she never told Mando to go to the seeing stone, so Grogu never sent a signal to Luke through the force so Luke never came and save them, Luke never took him as his student. And everyone died rip Din and they took Grogu and used his blood to create Snoke, probably Palpatine still had Grogu with him because of the amount of Snoke in tubes that there was on his lair. Because this is the thing, the fact that they created Snoke and many othere Snokes mean that they in some moment was able to capture Grogu and extract from him a lot of blood, far more than they could've in the brief moment he was captured in S2.

Another thing that point to the sequels be in a different timeline is the fact that according to the sequels Ben was Luke first apprentice, after Leia, around 10, 12 years after the battle of Endor, meaning around 6 years after The Mandalorian, it was only than that Luke opened his own Jedi school. So how about Grogu? He take Grogu 6 years before starts teaching Ben and open his school and Ben is considered his first apprentice, so I ask again, how about Grogu? Technically Grogu is his first student than. According with the theory is because the sequels timeline is one where Luke never took Grogu and therefore Ben was his first apprentice.

Now we have another timeline, one that Ezra saved Ahsoka and because of her Luke was able to save Grogu(in The Mandalorian) and the future of this timeline is still to be written, shown to us.

Ahsoka is pretty much the key for this timeline.

And guess whose show is coming...

There's a lot to unfold about her time during the OT, meaning her time during and after the World between worlds, so probably this will be explore in her show. But will they take in this direction? Save SW. Save the sequels. I feel this is the perfect answer, the sequels fans wouldn't be much pissed because technically the sequel would still be canon, and yet this would please all the other fans by fixing Luke story and Anakin legacy. So yeah, is a wonderful theory. I trust Filone, but do I trust Filone that much to believe he would do such thing? Not sure. My hopes when comes to theories are very low, but still can't help but feel a slightly bright of hope, who knows, maybe... I mean...

Huh? No, that’s highly unlikely. They already included the “I’m not gay” Reki scene with a girl on a boat, which was not even related to the plot. This means they’re most likely going the no homo route. And if Joe is just overcompensating and isn’t even affected by his 10 ladies sandwiches and he’s all about pissing Cherry off (and even Miya noticed that he does it to get his attention), Reki was truly attracted to that girl, bc she was a pretty girl. So it’s like yeah, he might be bi, but this scene was clearly made for “it’s okay, he’s not gay”, so it’s already most likely won’t move past anything.

It just doesn’t seem like Free!, YOI, Number24 sports anime situation, where for both main characters are “its okay to be fully gay” lmao

It’s still nice to see characters like Langa, who are sure about who they like. Adam’s situation is also pretty obvious with the marriage talk and him hiding who he is and like when ppl skate with Adam he reflects in his eyes as a rainbow. Very smooth haha. We’ll see if he’ll bite snake’s poison apple and about their hearts engraving too lolz.

That Langa scene with mom is like the scene in “Free!” when Sousuke says that Rin’s in love with Haru and Rin doesn’t deny it. For some it’s a proof, but technically still can be ignored by many, you know.

Plus sadly so far Reki is not in the same boat as Langa, I do not quite see him being romantically interested in him, and he’d really surprise me if he got there in the last 4 episodes, all that he cares about so far is his wounded ego. So where this goes depends on where his character goes firstly tbh. But I think it’ll just stay a bromance.

Idk, I JUST WANNA KNOW HOW THIS WILL END. I’d be sad if it’ll end with Reki being like a support group and just helping him beat Adam by like rooting for him. He loves to skate, so I still hope he will not be a sissy and drop it cause he’s not as talented, talent is not everything. So still kinda hoping he will put himself together and will surprise us with smth, but it’s once again highly unlikely, it’s like the further in we go, the least hope for him being an interesting character I have.

The best case (which would be a great surprise) and the most thing I think we can hope for is to say “the uncanon-canon” or as I call it “we’re don’t wanna be labeled BL, but we still are”, where everything is obvious, but still a no.
