2022 Was Amazing and I am EXCITED about 2023
If you would have told me at the beginning of 2022, that by the end of the year I would be the author of a best-selling business ethics book (Workplace NeuroDiversity Rising) that would be praised in Forbes as “an excellent ‘how to manual’ based on lived
2022 was an amazing year for both David and I. Photo of Lyric & David under a Rivera sign in the desert In addition to self publishing my first book (an accomplishment I’m, personally, very proud of), David, the dogs, and I managed to downsize (again) into a smaller, more affordable, home our new to us, but needs some work, 32 foot, class C motor home. It’s not perfect, but it’s enough for…

Ninth Year Recap
In the past I have really looked forward to writing my annual update posts, but since the last year has been different to be honest I didn’t even think about it until late in the month. Since we are still living fulltime in an RV I will recap this year, but as it was all in one place I am going to change this up a little bit. For those who don’t know we have been in Los Angeles the entire year…

NeuroDivergent Nomads: A Road Trip Like No Other
Today, we sit parked on an undisclosed beach in south Texas, a state with over three thousand miles of coastline, and I am pretty content. Much more so than I was last winter.
We’ve been back in Texas for a while now, well over a month at this point. This time last year, we had just left Colorado, migrating southward into New Mexico on our way down to Texas (to renew our RV registration, due every year in January). Today, we sit parked on an undisclosed beach in south Texas, a state with over three thousand miles of coastline, and I am pretty content. Much more so…

I'm too tired to make big life choices today but I am contemplating that RV idea.
Because each time I try doing the things I thought would be cool as a kid I tend to find that they generally are. And as a kid I liked the idea of living fulltime in an RV without the adults in my life (A very boxcar kids dream, I know) Even after spending a good half a year in one, crammed in with 3 other people. (I have good memories of life in that RV park, even though some shit was going down with my parents) I just kinda crave whatever that feeling was. It's extremely hippie of me. And probably more so since I could always default to boondocking if a park wasn't an option for some reason. (But there's so many around here??? Like I could just set up and commute to stay close to my people here.) But...that's so much less overwhelming than how I'm living now. I would have to go outside. It'd be the point of the way I live. And it actually sounds nice! Like the idea of spending afternoons in a hammock with a book, or going swimming in the summer, or fishing even! Winter would be a bit of a chore, but when is it not, lol? My hobbies are quiet. And although maintenance is a learning experience, lots of other people have figured it out. So can I.
Unfortunately I'm a little too broke to make that reality yet, but like...thinking about it...
