Hey about that SVTFOE Rewrite...

I know it's been a fairly long time since I finally threw in the towel on that old thing, but me and @full-moon-phoenix were discussing that whole thing where making Eclipsa and Toffee a thing would have solved a whole lot of problems with the story.

...and that actually gave us enough inspiration to start thinking about trying again with the rewrite.

It has everything.

A chance to give the two most lore important yet underwritten characters in the show an excuse to stay in the foreground that gives them both more to work with!

More opportunities for a stronger conflict that ties together the plot lines about Mewni, the monsters, the queens, and the magic!

Ship drama that actually matters to the narrative!

​Listen. The crumbs were all there in canon. From the Realm of Magic's amnesia to Soupina's madness to even the Solarian's madness in the end (alleged, since apparently by the end Mina was just "like that" but sure Daron). On one hand I do think it's dumb for the Butterflies to be the only ones allowed such proximity to powerful magic but it could always be saved with the caveat that no it's just this one family because the trade offs are ugly.

Who cares about dark magic staining your arms, Toffee melted into goo at one point? Mewberty as a concept is basically the endurer looping out and losing all their sense to instincts while going through magical metamorphosis. Many the spells the queens could cast on themselves had weird ass side effects and downsides, like Festivia's hostess spell temporarily deforming her face, or Crescenta's EVERYTHING or Rhina not being able to break an ill advised love spell. I know it's Disney but it can be pushed, look at the Owl House with Eda or Belos.

Hell I still like my old Zombie Queen concept from back when the finale aired, just let magic have more downsides on the caster and not just everyone else.

I'll be honest, I don't interact with the fandoms enough to really know what's popular opinion, but I'll make some guesses!

Dice, he's bisexual, but way more female-leaning than male-leaning. If Grace wasn't part of the relationship he probably wouldn't be dating Devil.

Zurg...I'm not really sure if this is unpopular to think or not, but I really really prefer his goofy side. I see a lot of rpers go full/mostly serious with him, and I prefer making him super goofy and kind of a himbo at times. I also think this adds more weight to his serious moments when portrayed like this.

Robots are mainly in larger towns and cities but over all, ya its normal

Had this REALLY GOOD idea to draw Agent Phoenix in skates

Like. Skating on top of falling debris held up telepathically as they escape from a Zoraxis hideout. Getting caught in an ambush and having to dodge incoming attacks at all sides with utter grace. Fighting one of Dr. Zor’s agents undercover as an ice skater and ending up tangled in a dance with them. Crashing into the Handler on accident in the hallway. Imagine.

💫 King Dice

Alright bois time to gush about MEN (one man) (a dice man)

So, canon info about Dice for those who aren't In The Know. He's incredibly charismatic, runs (or rather, used to run) a game show called Roll The Dice. He's an amazing singer and dancer, man's got charm all around! He works for the Devil and is very proud of being his "#1". Also, if his charms don't work at all, mans is absolutely pathetic cringefail (and I love that about him) usually you see that when he's talking with the Devil, but not a lot with other people (mostly because he feels more in control of the situation there).

He also wears a lot of makeup and, this is more in headcanon territory, but I think he's older than he wants us to know, he's hiding his age. (It's okay I would love you no matter what you look like, Dice!!!)

Now, for more headcanony stuff, also involving Grace:

This man's weakness is absolutely praise. He could be about to kill and if the person compliments him he's like "Oh! Heheheh, do go on!"

He picks up Grace and carries her around all the time, sometimes he doesn't even realize he's doing it until it's pointed out to him. Grace doesn't mind at all, she's just :) as she's randomly picked up by her man and Transported Places.

If he's stressed, sometimes Dice will play with Grace's hair/wool in his hands. Is Grace his girlfriend, or his teddy bear? Yes.
