I personally think that students should start getting paid to go to school and get their work done starting around middle school. Students go through a stressful week after a stressful week over and over again. We have to go to school 5 days a week, 7 hours a day. That's 35 hours of being in school each WEEK. I personally think that the students are very misunderstood. We have to deal with paperwork and tests weekly, awful teachers, school drama, and more. School isn't even a safe place anymore. We have to worry about people bringing GUNS to school. We listen to the shit in the halls, the things we get told. Sometimes, it scares us. And we can't even be safe around the teachers. They just want us to be silent robot students that follow every command, and if you DARE use a pen on a math sheet, you get threatened with having to redo all of your work that gave you an hour long headache while solving. And don't even TRY to tell me that the school can't afford it. If they can afford THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS worth of dumb ass Chromebooks for each student, you can pay them to show up at your dumb simulation that lost all of its purpose. School is just a place you go to so that you can do work basically against your will while you're filling everyone else's pockets. Just another example of greed in America ig
