I was going to put a podcast on to listen to while I'm making oatmeal bars and cleaning, but I'm trying to listen to the Behind the Bastards podcast in the order they were released, starting in 2018. I started ages ago, but got stuck because it took me about two years to get myself to listen to the Reagan episodes.

Anyway, going back that far on the podcast website is annoying, since there are like 8+ per month. They've all been uploaded to youtube so I'm listening there. I found a way to play them through my media player, so no ads yay.

But they were uploaded in batches, not on the date they were released. So I'm like, there has to be a list somewhere.

Yeah not that I could find. They have them on IMDb for some reason, but they're stupidly organized. They start out in order, but then aren't in order. Sometimes they'll shove in a different year just for the hell of it. I'll find parts four five and six but have to look at a different year to find parts 1 2 and 3 and I don't even know where part 7 went. So instead of doing anything practical I'm sitting here organizing all of the episodes of behind the bastards and a spreadsheet.

So if anyone is interested in a spreadsheet of all of the Behind the Bastards episodes, in order by date, let me know.

Spoiler: Kissinger gets six episodes.

Sometimes I get culture shock from going from MCYT's space where people freak out about like, 18 year olds drinking with 20 somethings to behind the bastards where Robert Evans is talking about his young adulthood traveling Guatemala and he's talking about the bar owner they were staying with and it's just,

And sometime like there was this other guy who owned a bar in Guatemala who was a former highway patrol officer from Arizona, UM and said that It's one of the first things he told me when I met him, was like, "I used to be a highway patrol officer in Arizona and I can never go back now." And he clearly had in the recent past, had a couple of hundred grand to spend on buying a hotel with a bar, and those two things were connected. Yeah, he was a cricket highway patrol officer, yes, And and he was also like the big drug dealer in town, which I'm sure also tied into why he's no longer a highway patrol office. He saw a business opportunity and it was like, I don't want to be in law anymore, I want to run a shady ass bar that gets European kids dangerously intoxicated on their holidays, And that's what he did. My last memory of this guy is because he also had a seventeen year old wife who had just given birth- [...] My last memory of that cop was he had his baby on a bassinet around his chest, and he was shirtless other than the baby he was wearing. And he was leaning over the counter of his bar with a jar of mushrooms preserves and honey, and he was spooning them into a naked Danish boy's mouth.

And this is someone who Robert is describing fondly. It's just jarring sometimes.

Wow I Finally Watched Sunshine

What happens when you put Cillian Murphy and Chris Evans in close confinement on their way to send a bomb into the sun?

Did I mention the incredible Michelle Yeoh and Benedict Wong are apart of these space shenanigans?

Have I gotten your attention of this very underrated movie yet?

Sunshine came out in 2007 and I had never once heard or seen anything of this movie until a few days ago, While I was innocently scrolling through Disney+, This movie appeared.

Now, Being a huge fan of Chris Evans for many years and recently diving into the work of Cillian Murphy, I was already hooked.

But then you tell me this is a Sc-fi Psychological Thriller set in space?

NOW I REALLY AM HOOKED.

But this isn't just a 'For the scares and spooks' of space travel that film often portrays, This is a film ahead of it's time. A story that could be told in any year, Because this will always be relevant.

This movie makes you think.

What is beyond the stars? What would you do in these humanity-testing scenarios? What would you do when you've come face to face with not only the surface of the sun, but also your own heart?

A movie that questions your own humanity, A movie that has made you feel something so real that it makes your chest feel tight as if you're in that scenario, As if you're apart of a team with these people by your side day in and day out - That is a job well done.

While this movie did take a little bit to get into, it builds the suspence of what's really going on here. But everytime you think you'll look away, you reach for your phone - The movie does something that makes you need to rewind and go "Did they really just say that?"

And when you reach that moment.

There's no going back.

This movie was so incredibly different than anything I've experience for a while and As a thorough enjoyer of the Sci-fi genre in all different forms, This was a truly pleasant surprise.
