Cordelia’s Bachelorette Party

The evening will start at 5 P.M. (though punctuality is overrated). Come as you are, or in party attire, or dungarees and cowboy boots, or glitter and glam. What's important is that you come prepared for a good time. There will be music, dancing, drinks, food, and games.

Located at Harmony Ranch's main barn, the venue has been outfitted with lights, flowers, and speakers. A dance floor has been cleared in the center, and there is room for live performances and (once you've been properly liquored) some karaoke.

All our femme leaning Merrockites are welcome to attend. While there will be plenty of libations, please feel free to BYOB. Small finger foods and donuts will be provided throughout the evening. At six, a delivery of burgers and fries from The Hut will arrive.

Entertainment includes a photo booth with props (boas, glasses, mustaches, cowboy hats, etc.), ring toss, and bingo. Scheduling, and organization, of such activities will fall to the energy of the evening and the bride-to-be. At ten on the dot, however, the guests of honor are scheduled to perform. The Dixon Six are longtime friends of the bride's soon to be sister-in-law and have come up to Merrock for a one night only performance. All those who wish to opt out are free to enjoy entertainment outside. Those who do wish to attend, please bring singles to show your appreciation of the men.

Feel free to stick around late into the evening. Designated drivers are on standby, though beds have been made available in the loft area of the barn. Most of all remember this night is to celebrate Cordelia so bring your congratulations and your cheer.

I'll definitely get the hang of decorating eventually. For now, I just focus on seasons, and with the additions of the bigger holidays in between I like to find little pieces for. It seems like it's working pretty well for me. But my eclectic decor is versatile for every season. And it's pretty exciting! Hopefully, it'll draw more tourists to the club during the busy season, although it'll probably mean more late nights for me, I'm not complaining.

It does! The more settled everything gets, the less you need to move, and it's more about just decorating for the seasons. Which I am absolutely someone who decorates for every season and thing in between. I don't think there's anything wrong with eclectic or quirky decor! Sometimes that makes the home more personable. I much rather go to a place that has questionable decor than none at all. Themed nights at Vibrations? Who wouldn't love something like that!

Cordelia Goode; the strong supreme and woman whom everyone knows of could hardly even get out of bed, let alone walk. Cordelia had suffered a long eight months of feeling unwell both mentally and physically. Her emotions were all over the place to the point where she didn't even want to talk to her witches incase of going extremely hormonal on them.

She didn't want to get out of bed; the room would spin and her face would end up right back in the toilet. It was too much work anyways. Baby was taking a toll on her back. Her body felt too heavy to even stand up.

But even cuddled up in bed with her two loves; both her wife Misty and unborn baby girl, she still didn't get a break from any of the pain.

She felt so sick and her mouth kept watering, the ceiling kept spinning. She held her head and closed her eyes but to no avail. Her lover who held her tightly noticed the sudden increase in discomfort from Cordelia. She was great at reading her wife's emotions. They both were. It was like they shared a soul. Sometimes they both really think that they do.

Her arm that gently rested over Cordelia's protruding stomach came up to clutch her rosy cheeks instead with such care. Looking into her deep brown eyes with concern. Cordelia didn't like worrying Misty, but she could not bring herself to erase the look of unease on her face.

"Are you feeling dizzy again?" Misty asked. It certainly wasn't the first time that this had happened. And Cordelia just nodded because she was afraid that it would only make her start gagging if she spoke. Cordelia's lower lip trembled and a tear rolled down her face. "Okay, alrigh. Let me get ya some of that healing mud, baby. It's okay."

She made sure to kiss Cordelia's forehead before getting up and leaving. She knew that could make her feel better. Mentally, at least.

She was back in no time. She didn't want to leave Cordelia alone in this state. Or at all. Misty had become quite a hovering person ever since her wife and her created their sweet girl. Cordelia didn't mind much; she loved being around Misty, and she was loved and cared for.

Misty sat beside her wife who was laid on her back. This position was becoming uncomfortable for Cordelia but her muscles ached too much to move. And before Misty could even open the jar of mud, Cordelia felt the terrible feeling of bile rising in her throat.

"Misty," Cordelia said, hoarse and worrysome. Barley audible. "Misty, I don't feel good." The cajun knew that already, but with the way Cordelia said it, she was aware that it had an entirely different meaning right now.

Misty was quick into action and was already helping Cordelia up. That was the thing about Misty; she could be swift without harming Cordelia further. She was always so gentle.

The room spun and it only made Cordelia feel worse, but Misty practically carried her wife into their bathroom. She could hardly walk, but with Misty's strong arms around her body, it was easier than it could've been. Although pregnant, she was no match for Misty. The cajun spent hours and hours of hard labor back at her swamp growing the muscles she uses now for her lover.

She sat next to Cordelia on the floor. As soon as the toilet seat was opened, she immediately began to gag and release all of her pregnancy cravings from her stomach into the bowl.

Misty placed lingering kisses against her wife's sore back. It was the only thing she could do to comfort Cordelia in the moment. She wished she had the power to take it all away.

When Cordelia was finally done with what didn't last long, she rested her weak body back against Misty. The cajun placed her hand on Cordelia's stomach and rubbed it in small circles. She could feel their baby girl fluttering beneath the supremes flesh. There had been countless of nights that Misty would sit up with Cordelia when baby would just not stop kicking.

"Sunshine, do ya feel any better?" Misty asked and she leaned down to kiss Cordelia's forehead. Due to her supremacy, Misty had never seen her wife so sick before she was pregnant. It was entirely different for the both of them but Misty was nevertheless there for her.

"A little bit. My heads still pounding and sore back. This little peanut won't quit it today," Cordelia smiled and looked up at her wife all while placing her hand atop of Misty's. She was feeling awful but she couldn't help but still feel fortunate knowing the reason and outcome for all of this.

Misty took this as a sign that everything is okay and she could smile right back. She still worried about Cordelia and her baby girl constantly. She just wanted them to be safe and healthy always. "Ya givin mommy trouble already, tiny love? Too bad that ya already too cute to punish." 

Misty felt a warm tear -multiple warm tears- fall on her hand, sniffles following. Cordelia was already an emotional person which Misty found very cute. The pregnancy had only enhanced that by a million, making her exceedingly hormonal.

Misty was well aware of the reason Cordelia was crying. She didn’t even have to ask at this point. Simply, she leaned down and kissed her wife’s rosy lips, salty from the warm tears rolling down Cordelia’s face. “I love you,” Goode mumbled right against Misty and, god, she knew that she made the right choice with this one.

“I love ya with everything in me,” Misty said back. Cordelia would’ve cried more. Was going to. But she was already so tired and she was running out of tears from all that she had shed in the past eight months. “So let’s get ya back in bed so I can make ya feel better.”

With the smile Misty wore, she wouldn’t deny any of her requests. She let the cajun help her back up on her feet. With each day, it was getting more difficult to do anything. But she wouldn’t give up. She loved her little family too much already.

Misty got her wife laid safely back into bed and sat beside her under the covers. It only made the pain worse on Cordelia’s back, only caused the room to spin again, but she knew that being back on the soft mattress again would help in the long run. Misty wouldn’t ever do anything to make Cordelia feel worse.

With Cordelia’s consent, she lifted up her wife’s sleep shirt, slowly and cautiously in thought of her tender breast’s. She got out her jar of mud and scooped some onto her fingers. Both of them typically wouldn’t use mud in their clean bed but it was the most comfortable option for Cordelia in this state.

She delicately rubbed some of the mud on the older woman’s rounded stomach to fewer the stretch marks that would later appear on her skin. Neither of them had a problem with stretch marks, scars, or absolutely anything that could possibly be an insecurity. But Cordelia was so incredibly insecure due to the emotional abuse from her mother all her life and she knew it would only mess with her head more. She already hated the stretch marks on her hips. Misty thought they were sexy and told her that, even kiss them anytime that they would show each other their love.

Cordelia slowly relaxed into the feeling of coolness on her stomach. Misty then moved her fingers up to the older woman’s chest so she could breathe in the calming scent for the nausea. Cordelia’s eyes fluttered shut. She was so tired that she nearly drifted off under Misty’s touch. She would never admit it, but she loved being taken care of.

Misty finished and she got up to wash the mud off of her hands. She got back in bed and kissed her drowsy lovers forehead. Cordelia wasn’t asleep but she was nearly reaching dreamland.

The younger woman laid back down with her wife. It was the middle of the day and they were laying here in bed. She wouldn’t wish it to be any other way.

“I love ya. Do ya know that,” Misty whispered somberly, “I love ya so much and i’m so proud of ya for carrying our baby girl.” The sweet cajun rested one hand on Cordelia’s lower stomach, away from the mud, and the other wrapped around her body to soothe her back with circular motions.

Don’t cry. Don’t do it, Cordelia. Cordelia began to cry again anyways. Misty was just so sweet and after all the trouble she had before her supremacy to conceive, it felt nice to be appreciated. She finally felt like she was doing something right. For the first time in her life she knew that she took the right path.

Although her eyes were closed, the tears still managed to overflow through her eyelids. Misty wiped them away so Cordelia wouldn’t have to move anymore. “I love you,” kiss, “I love you,” kiss, “I love this little sunshine too.”

“I love this little sunshine too. She’s gonna be so cute just like her mommy.”

“Nu-uh,” Cordelia sleepily argued, “she’s gonna be cute like her mama. Big blonde curls and blue eyes.”

“Or silky blonde hair and big brown eyes. Imagine tryna tame those curls every mornin.”

Cordelia giggled and nuzzled her face closer into her wife’s chest. “The little curly pigtails, Mist! Little curly pigtails!” The supreme was certainly excited to dress her little girl up and do her hair. Everything she had always wanted her mother to do with her. When she was just a little girl, she had to learn how to do her own hair and realize that her purple shirt didn’t match with her green skirt. She never had her mother to help her with that stuff. But her own baby surely would.

“Okay, okay, curly pigtails sounds really darn cute,” Misty rested her head against Cordelia’s and laughed into her soft hair. The older woman then felt the baby kick again. Not uncomfortably. It was gentle; she was simply joining in on the conversation with her mothers.

“Seems like our little cutie really likes that idea.” Cordelia finally opened up her eyes to look up at her wife. Maybe Mallory never reset the timeline after she died, Cordelia thought. Maybe this was just heaven.

Misty rubbed her thumb against the skin of Cordelia’s lower stomach, Soon, baby, very soon you can have your little pigtails. Only one month of anticipation and sickness left.

Cordelia let out a yawn and rest her head back on Misty’s chest. She was okay. Everything was okay and right in her little world. She could go to sleep now knowing that she would wake up with the exact same smile. “Get some rest now, my two loves. I promise i’ll be here when you’s wake up,” and Cordelia felt safe enough, with just those words, to drift off. “Always,” Misty whispered again, although, Cordelia didn’t hear it. She knew it though. Always and forever.

⸻  Born and raised in NOLA to a mother who was controlling as she was, she only cared about the coven. never paid any attention to davina unless it was beneficial to her. because having davina was not part of her plans.

⸻  Her father is out of the picture but the coven hated him . that’s all she knows about her father.

Cordelia is described as having dark brown skin and i'm pretty sure her mother is turkish but the girl on the front cover is v fair looking soooo -10 Cassie we don't stan

Brain muddle capacity - fucking 100% there are SO MANY COUSINS. I get that like it's the next generation but remembering who married who and spawned new uns and who are cousins now was like a genuine waste of my brain cells

Gays - 420/420 Magnus, Anna, Ariadne, Alastair, Charles, that fairy chick who's name started with a P you get the gist.

Plot predictability - 3/6

Definitely some predictable ~ plot moves here folks. However, there were enough different things happening that it wasn't a huge problem for me.

Mystery complexity 8/10 ~ satisfying even though it was a late reveal.

Suffering for the good of the muggles sorry mundanes *cough* pretty decent 4/5 not on TLOTR levels of hero shit but plenty of ~ emotional sacrifices ~ to make up for it. I will say that finding the cure did feel a little too easy though

Unexpected but welcome commentary on alcoholism 10/10

Love triangle/ (quartet I guess?) 2/4

The love charm trope was quite transparent in being a plot device solely to slow down the main pairing, BC without it there really was no reason that they wouldn't get together. Also Mathew changing his main personality trait and developing feelies just in time to make the sequel really ~ uncomfortable was very convenient lol

Cheese factor- strong mouldy aroma 10/10 quite disgusting love descriptions from all characters really :)

Scandal factor - had some spicy moments but was undercut by the fact that all the characters have parents which is fairly rare for cassies characters but adds a bit of realism to the fact that they're all 17 I guess

So I definitely have broken the rule about retelling plot points so sorry y'all anywayyy I actually really enjoyed reading COG sooooo overall 8.5/10 :)

When I say @inspectorgamache has made Triton look SO AMAZING in the drawings she’s made so far, I TRULY MEAN IT!

Here’s a little synopsis of the plot:

Setting: Modern Day

A fair and compassionate, but mournful merman King Triton of Atlantis has shut out his kingdom to the rest of the world for the past 15 years. Since his wife’s death, he has been incredibly cautious about humans and their inability to stop destroying the world around them. However, Triton rediscovers humanly compassion and new-found love after encountering Cordelia Easton, a tough environmental activist fighting to stop a notorious waste disposal company from polluting the beaches of NYC. To get a better perspective of the human world and to pursue his new love, Triton becomes human! Through sorcery, adventure, romance, and even a little bit of music, Triton and Cordelia come to learn that real life can be just as magical as seen in fairytales!

Side note: My main OC, Cordelia, is plus size! I really wanted to see more inclusion in the fanfiction world. I mention it briefly in the book but I didn’t want to harp on it too much because a good plus size character’s plot does not need to revolve around them being plus size! Cordelia is pretty badass, in my opinion, so I hope you love her as much as I do! 🥺

So far, I’ve written the first two chapters and once I write more, I will start posting a chapter a week. I really hope you guys enjoy the story as much as I have writing it with @inspectorgamache’s help! 🥰

Bury Your Flame || Lexus (ft: Cordelia) Selfpara || 7.12.19; 7AM

In a blur of brown hair, Lexus immediately knew who was in the room. No need to turn to see the blue eyes trying (and not trying) to sneak a peek at the 21 year old. She did not hide, nor quicken her pace as she ascended the stairs as the awkwardness of this encounter was just as irrefutable and inevitable of the falling rain. Gripping the bannister, red knuckles blistered white, unintelligible rage washinger over her like a wave. A firm hand found her shoulder, fingers careful yet purposeful. 

“Lex, wait,” The voice pled. 

One plea, two words, three stairs to go. So close to freedom she could taste it. To have it ripped from her felt unjust, like God turned his cheek just this once. Would this godless intermission last long enough to allow Lexus to right her wrongs? Hands itched to marr the other’s face, producing an everlasting brand to mark her as the villian. An onslaught of words congested the rivers of her brain, blocking their passage through her mouth. 

“What makes you so brave?” Cold, black eyes wondered, boring into blue as fingernails reveled in the feeling of familiar flesh. Pleasure slithered up her spine as Cordelia hissed, though she had experienced far worse pain than this. “Have you found God? Does He empower you? Make no mistake, Cordelia, He is the only one to thank for your survival. Don’t be so foolish with the gift he has given you.” Blood red lips whispered in her ear, “I will not be so kind twice.” 

“L-Lex—” 

Hastily, two hands gripped Cordelia’s hips not unlike a lower would. Bringing the girl close, the 21 year old’s smile grew wicked. 

“How easy would it be to throw you off these stairs right now? Two floors is a long drop for a surprised human body. Would you be so lucky, would God spare you twice?” Cordelia twisted in her arms, fighting for her life not unlike a fly caught in a spider’s web. Eyes red with bloodlust, Lexus held tighter, steadfast in the belief of her unalienable right to retaliation. A flash of white raced up the stairs towards the pair. The danger in the air was palpable, the Thornewood security staff could smell it in the air. An idea struck the 21 year old as her victim’s eyes widened, knowing exactly what Lexus would do before her hands even moved. 

“Here boys—” 

“L—” A shriek of terror was silenced as quickly as it began. Time slowed as dark eyes watched Cordelia glide gracefully to Earth like an angel. Brown hair flew up to frame her face in as the wind conspired to make her last moments truly breathtaking. The horror in her ocean eyes, illuminated by unadulterated fear, shined at Lexus like a diamond, with the look as rare—a look that could never be replicated: the look of naivety corrupted by the inescapable truth of what would come next. 

“You can have her!” 

A crack loud as thunder broke the tension, and the neck of her former friend. Blood framing her hair like a halo like an angel of death. Staring at body blankly, two small feet helpless against the undertow of unrelenting rage. Realizing the gravity of what she had done, Lexus’ heart began to pound.

As if waking from a falling dream, Lexus’ entire body tensed before jolting upright, shrugging Cordelia’s warm hand off her shoulder. 

“Listen very carefully,” Came the slur of hissed words from behind her clenched teeth, “Let me go, and don’t think for a second I’ll ask twice.” 

Then off she went, climbing the one, two, three steps to unrestricted freedom.

Giving a nod at her thanks, he pulled out his wallet where he stashed a few neon bandages for emergencies. "It's no problem, I've kind of learned that if you don't have bandages on hand, you'll need them more often," which became some sort of evergreen advice for him to keep some wherever he went. With the school year approaching, he made sure to keep a few extras on him as well as in his office, never knowing when the situation would come in handy. As he pulled out a few brightly colored bandages, he handed them to the blonde, so she could aide her daughter, sticking the wallet back in his pocket. "Yeah, it's probably the shock of it all as well. Maybe some sweets or something could take her mind off it, that always works, right?."

With it being right before the school year, the area was busy, which had been a big reason that she had been making sure to hold such a tight hand to Rosalyn. It was busier than normal, those getting last minute bits before school, others enjoying their last minute vacations from out of town before heading back to the beginning of their own school years and back to work. Merrock essentially was hectic and she didn't need her little one running off with so much other chaos happening. But, life wasn't perfect, and young kids were unpredictable. "Thank you." she said as she turned to the person who was helping her. "Actually that would be great, I didn't bring my big purse with me thinking today would be quick so I don't have all my normal in case of emergency things." she gave a small face. This wasn't exactly a huge emergency but the way Rosalyn was crying you would think it was as she picked her up. "She's more just scared because of how hard she fell."

"SOMEONE GAVE THIS TO ME EARLIER," he says, fishing a mother's day coupon for one of the local spas. fifty off for their foot massage and mani-padi services. he's not sure what about himself radiates 'mother' vibes when the employee just handed it to him in passing, but he knows he didn't make the situation much better when he responds with 'my mother's dead, but i'll be sure to pass this on, thanks!' before walking away. "figured you'd have better use it for it than me."

She'd changed out of her bathing suit into an oversized shirt, and shorts, content to hang around the fire for a while. The business had always been busy for her when she focused on every small detail, and then larger aspects, ensuring things went her way. So Kennedy was always grateful for the reprieve big events like this offered, able to focus on the slightly hectic energy of something else, and the sunshine while summer lasted. The bonfire had been the highlight though, sitting around with the members of the community, the night air a welcome change from the heat, as she glanced around at the smiling faces making s'mores or just enjoying the distant music pulsing from Club Merrock. She wasn't alone for long though, as a familiar blonde she swore she recognized approached the bonfire. "Feel free to take the seat, darlin'!" she gave a friendly smile to her and nodded in agreement. "Definitely the best part of all this, in my opinion. Kind of the perfect send-off to the summer season, don't you think?"

With a simple white bathing suit one, she was leaning into the whole she was an upcoming bride over the next few months, and a simple beaded silver sarong tied over her hips Cordelia made her way towards the bonfire. It was one of her favorite places when the end of summer beach bash came around. There was something about sitting around a fire, relaxing, listening to music, and just watching the night roll in. It wasn't the first night of the bonfire, that had been the previous night but Cage and Cordelia had spent that night celebrating actually being married six months, but the rest of the time, she was fully devoted to making the best of the end of usmmer. Which was hard for her to wrap her mind around that in no time she'd officially be in the thick of her own college classes, still doing her hours for her realtors license, having a teenager in school, and raising a very spunky three year old. So, tonight was all about fun for Cordelia. "This spot taken?" Cordelia asked dropping down next to her fellow blonde. "Nothing as good as a bonfire on the beach is there?"

I think after a while decorating gets easier once you settle in, or maybe that's just my opinion since it's not just me who picks out pieces for our home, luckily. My housemates would definitely be dealing with some questionable decor if I did it myself. But sounds like you have a lot on your plate, so I'm happy to share some tidbits of my life. We're planning some fun themed nights over at Vibrations, hopefully they'll turn out how we imagined.

Settling into a new place is always a bit exhausting, like we've been settling in for the last few weeks, and the house isn't perfectly finished in the aspect that I definitely keep changing little pieces of decor around and furniture to find the right spot. Which is probably driving people in the house crazy but that's besides the point, I think it's how I'm dealing in between different course work since I decided to take a summer course to help with my realtors license that I'm planning to take.
