I really like your artwork and I love your fanfic, it's one of the few that i keep rereading. It's well-written and provides such a good insight into Jimmy's character and emotions.

I'm a big fan of how subtly the characters' emotions are portrayed as well.

hey quick question for any aroace people out there, cause i’ve been questioning for a long time

i’m not sure if i am aroace, because i’ve liked people in the past, but i’ve just sort of recently gotten out of a serious relationship and i don’t know if it’s my thing, yet when i go out, i’m always scoping for cute people?? plus, one day i’ll feel totally “oh ew romance and s3x, gross vomit” but then the next day, hell, 5 hours later, i’ll see a sweet couple or something and be like “awwww maybe it isn’t so bad, maybe i would want to be apart of that” but then i remember what it was like being in a relationship and then i’m like “well maybe i just like the thought of it”

and recently it’s been tough to tell if my celebrity “crushes” are even crushes, cause honestly, i think i just want to be really good friends with them

Answering these rogue trader character building questions, thank you!!

10. How do they feel about becoming a Rogue Trader? How easily do they take to being the head of the von Valancius dynasty?

He very much sees it as something well deserved, something turning out Right And Good at long last. Lazarus has spent the past year or so prior to the start of the game being kept neatly out of the spotlight and he is desperate to prove himself. He very much meets Edelthrad and immediately starts plotting ways to get him alone so he can take him out of the picture lol. As for actually running things...well, he's okay. But despite his arrogance and obsession with his own image he does at least know how to listen to advice and sometimes even takes it! All in all, not the worst possible choice, though certainly not the best

11. Who amongst their retinue are they closest to?

So, admittedly, I am not very far into the game and so far excluding the companions you start with, I've only met Cassia 😅 so for right now, it's Abelard, who treats him with the respect he deserves, as is befitting his station. I haven't seen very much about most of the companions so will be interesting to see who he clicks with!

15. How do they feel towards Theodora? Had they met before? Were they close?

She's The Authority when they meet, and so he needs her on side. He respects her, but it doesn't go much further than surface level appreciation for her title; he doesn't waste any time replacing her portrait with his own. He resents that she wasn't around long enough to give him a better idea of what he's supposed to do as a rogue trader, but it's wholly self serving and her death ultimately does not affect him at all

For the prompts - Nandor making fun (sexily) of Guillermo for his porn predilections

It's easy to smile and laugh when Guillermo's insides feel like fire. It is not so easy to laugh when Nandor turns a gaze like wildfire onto him, paired well with an arrogant smirk and speaks.

"I have heard of many things, Guillermo, but your supposed innocence is not one of them."

Guillermo's ears burn, but he maintains a neutral face, his fingers digging into the fabric of the chair. Nandor stares at him with a challenge in his eyes.

"What do you mean?"

If his voice cracks, he can blame on the sudden tight feeling in his throat. His skin is over-hot, every nerve coming alive and screaming that he's in danger.

But it's just Nandor.

Nandor, who is rising from his chair—where they sit in the living room, alone—who is looming over him with no give in his demeanor, whose bronze-ashen pallor deepens the closer he gets till he is bent at the waist and his face is far too close for comfort.

"I know what you watch during daylight hours, Guillermo..." A growl, low among the silent books. "I can hear your desperation."

Guillermo burns and shrinks in his seat. He kneads at the arm chair, his jaw working. He is loath to give up whatever ground he can claw back from the vampires. His breath comes stilted.

"Desperation?"

Nandor tilts his head as he leans in further, his eyes glittering with coy mischief. He holds up a heavily ringed finger, counting with a flick of each digit. His mouth shapes each number with enunciation that is so achingly particular to Nandor that Guillermo can only watch, enraptured.

"One, amateurs."

Guillermo's brow quirks.

"Two, bears."

Nandor's smile flashes with a display of fang. It runs down Guillermo's spine like melting ice.

"Three, rimming." Elongated 'r', a lilt on the '-ing'. Guillermo shudders, slow realisation dawning.

"Four," Nandor continues with all the implacable force of an iceberg before a ship. Danger in the floes that break off and careen towards Guillermo's rational mind. "Public."

"Stop!" Guillermo hisses, his shoulder blades digging into the hard back of the chair, his chest pumping. His gaze darts to the entrance, where any one of the others could walk in at any moment; could see Nandor bent into Guillermo's space, two planets pulled together into an inevitable orbit about to collide.

It sticks in Guillermo's lungs. "Please. Don't."

Nandor narrows his eyes, sighing as he abates, allowing a modicum of space between them, allowing a reason of plausible deniability to break the tension spring loaded within Guillermo's body.

"You don't need to pretend," Nandor suggests past a curling lip. Not quite a smile, not quite a sneer. Something between. Guillermo has seen it enough to choke on it. "Not with me."

"I don't pretend…" says Guillermo, weakly.

Nandor leans back proper. He sweeps his hair back from where it had fallen out of line, gravity pulling between them.

"No," His voice is immeasurably soft. His gaze is distant as he narrows onto a sound that Guillermo cannot hear. "No, we don't," Returns his gaze to Guillermo's face searchingly as footsteps make themselves known from down the hall. "Do we, Guillermo?"

With that, he turns on his heel and throws himself back in his original seat as Laszlo enters. Guillermo's heart remains in his throat, cutting off his air.

He knows.

sending this before i forget bc i've been meaning to for days now LMAO okay but a question for you!!! what was your favorite thing to write in chapter three? and have any of the side characters existed in your mind as long as the main crew? and are any of them fairly recent brain children? please spill <3

HI JADE sorry i held onto this for so long, i wanted to take my time to write out a nice answer<3

my favourite part of episode 03 is definitely the world building and the expansion of the PC's perspective so far! we've had a lot of the boring office life with the PC so it was really fun to write about the 'other side' and set up the polar opposite to the PC's life! plus i really loved writing the crew in their own environment, with people they're familiar with, and setting up some backstory, relationships and other general details for all of them.

honey, beetle and inez have always existed when i was putting together ideas, but terry and rosemary came much later in the rewrite as i wanted to add another family dynamic to reflect hakeem and marwa. cindy is also extremely new and another character that will be fleshed out down the line hehehe

though inez is not new, xe definitely changed the most in the rewrite as xe originally was in terry's role. i love pushing xem further into this boss type character, and it unlocked a lot of xir history for me, which i know i am going to have SO much fun with!!!

you've a very tasteful way of appreciating obikin (both the ship and the characters) and star wars, is there any other pairing and/or story that you also enjoy/enjoyed the same way and to the same level?

there's never been anything like the prequels and obikin for me, nothing has ever caught and sustained my attention in the same way. there was a really unique alchemy of factors that occurred in order to get me to writing star wars meta and obikin fanfic, a wandering path of interests that all suddenly fused together in one place right before the pandemic, like classics, buddhism, magic, etc. and i admit part of that alchemy was definitely that over the course of my twenties i read tens of millions of words of fanfic, but i didn't really have otp pairings for things like h*rry p*tt*r and m*rv*el lol, i just read popular stories. downloading all that data as it were about writing fanfic taught me what i liked and disliked about the craft of smut, but i wasn't ever deeply engaged on a narrative analysis level and never wrote anything or participated in fandom. i know other ships like spirk have the same amount of lore and depth, but they weren't what i grew up watching and so didn't light up my brain like the prequels. this is really a personally unprecedented thing that's going on haha
