Random Thought, please humor me.
SURPRISE: YUUSHA GAINS MAGIC (By absorbing the Magic around her & dealing with Overblots)! Even better, she doesn't need a Mage Stone to control it! What would Yuusha's Unique Magic be & how does she use it? How would Jamil react?
"Magic makes people feel too powerful. Too entitled."
"That is not what magic does. That's just your fear. Fear is what can't be trusted."
HELPPP anon your random thought sent me down into a rabbit hole and i was hyperfixated on this for at least a WEEK 😭
THANK YOU FOR THE ASK BTW I REALLY APPRECIATE IT I HAD SO MUCH FUN WITH THIS 💕💕💕
anyways i also had an agonizing realization that yuusha is somewhat twisted elsa/anna because she has:
braid in front ✅
light-colored hair streak ✅
love interest that used her for his schemes ✅
desire to connect with people bc of years of loneliness (and emotional instability) ✅
unresolved childhood trauma in general ✅
(and probably more idk, these are the ones that stand out to me at the moment)
i haven't thought about frozen for YEARS and somehow it's still haunting me.
i have a lot of mixed feelings about this realization in general but the reason i brought this up is because i ended up basing yuusha's unique magic on frozen (not the ice powers part, but more the emotions aspect since elsa's powers work based on her emotions) while also still having aspects of yuu's own personality on it.
(also I'm sorry in advance i keep on dropping random lore about yuu and jamil's dynamic that only makes sense to myself hndsfhdsj)
I'm your friend. You don't have to hide. SHOW YOURSELF.
"Show Yourself" forces the target to say what's actually on their mind as long as she touches them. Since she's not particularly powerful and skilled with her own unique magic in the beginning, it's limited to skin-to-skin contact, and it only lasts for as long as she's touching her target.
If Yuu trained it more, it doesn't have to be skin-to-skin, just as long as she makes some kind of physical contact with her target; and it could last for as long as she wants even if she is no longer making physical contact. (But the longer she keeps it up, the more blot accumulates.) Yuusha would mostly just use her unique magic to mess with people. It'll only be rare that she chooses to use it for something serious.
To add more onto how Jamil would react to these magic shenanigans: They've both agreed on not using their unique magic on each other. To do so would be a breach of trust. (Of course there would be special exceptions but generally that's their agreement.) And since Jamil is still a scheming prick (affectionate), her "Show Yourself" unique magic would be useful. Plus, Yuu would not be against using her unique magic 99% of the time since she is also aware of the usefulness of her ability. Jamil would insist on helping Yuu out on how to use her magic because there was no way she'd get the hang of it immediately. And he knows she would refuse to ask any other (capable) magician for help.
An alternate idea that I scrapped was "Let It Go" where it's essentially Yuu telling her target to let go of their (usually negative) emotions. But those feelings can't just disappear so Yuu basically absorbs them so now it's her burden to carry instead. I scrapped it because I can't settle on how it works. (But it still had angst potential so I couldn't help but draw a bit about it anyway.)
(extra rambling below about yuusha overblot thoughts if anyone's interested hdlfhjgj)
this is a brief tangent from the original question because i also thought, "hey what if she overblotted, wouldn't that be fun"
i could see the overblot going in either two ways:
yuu accidentally hurts grim (or another friend) with her magic. she’s so distraught thinking that even with magic she can't protect those who are dear to her. and so during the overblot she will not actively try to hurt anyone but instead exhausting her magic reserves in an intentional attempt at self-destruction. (yes i also see the frozen parallels shhhh)
OR
something happens that was simply THE LAST STRAW. now she’s too pissed at everyone that she no longer cares about what happens to her or anyone else, going on a destructive rampage. which can also be considered an intentional attempt at self-destruction.
either way, basically, if she can’t go home she’s just going to take herself out and/or the school instead. the girl is not okay.
(there's actually nothing good she can home to, but she's convinced she'll be happy again if she returns. but she doesn't know that because she can't remember shit about her home. that's a separate lore dump post hgdsjfkld)
also the blot monster behind her would look something like marshmallow (elsa's snow monster from frozen) :)
(i also used to have a similar idea for yuusha. i planned to have her be immune to magic *because* she was absorbing it and she didn't realize. leading to an inevitable overblot) (but i scrapped it because yuusha became my victim for jamil x yuu stuff) (like if i can't have the excuse to have jamil use snake whisper on yuu then what is the point)
#this also kinda gave me war flashbacks to the rise of the brave tangled frozen dragons era 😭#i just didnt mean for yuusha to be similar to elsa/anna ajdklsj#i unfortunately fell victim to the obsession with elsa when frozen came out#i have different opinions of frozen now so that's why i have very mixed feelings#anyways style consistency#who is she and let me meet her PLEASE#[—✦ chatting#-✧ oc rambles#-✧ my art#-✧ comic#twst art#twst#twisted wonderland#jamil viper#twst oc x canon#jamil x yuu#twst yuu#twst yuusona#(💜) yuusha#(💜) curry noodles#-✦—]

i feel like im not making any sense but does anyone else feel like there are stories that let u run with them and ones that spell everything out for you
#im reading that post that says artists are directors of audience reaction and not its dictator:#'you cannot guarantee that everyone viewing your work will react as you are trying t make them react. a good artist knows that this is what#allows work to breath. by definition you cannot have art where the viewer brings nothing to the table ... this is why you have to let go of#the urge to plainly state in text exactly how you think the work should be interpreted ... its better to be misinterpreted sometimes than#to talk down to your audience. you wont even gain any control that way; people will still develop their opinions no matter what you do#im thinking abt this again cuz i was thinking maybe the thing that lets adventure time work so well the way it does is cuz it doesnt#take itself too seriously that it gives the audience enough room to fuck with subtext and then fuck with them back yknow. i think it was#mentioned somewhere that they werent even planning to run with the postapocalyptic elements that are hinted in the show but changed their#mind after the one off with the frozen businessmen and dominoed into marcy and simons backstory. on the other side there are stories that#explain too much to let the story speak for itself and i think it ends up having to do more with the crew trying to lead ppl in a certain#direction than expand on what they have and i see a lot of this with miraculous. like when interviews and tweets are used as word of god in#arguments and it becomes a little stifling to play around with it knowing the creator can just interject. u can say its the crews effort to#engage with its audience but it feels more like micromanaging. and none of this is to say there ISNT room for stories that spell things out#theyre just suited for different things. if sesame street tried abstract approaches to themes and nuance itd be counterproductive#a lot of things fly over my head so i need help picking things apart to get it- but it doesnt have to be from the story itself. ive picked#picked up or built on my own interpretations listening to other ppl share their thoughts which creates conversation around the same thing#sometimes stories will spell things out for you without being so obvious abt it that it feels like its woven into the text. my fav example#for this might be ATLA using younger characters as its main cast but instead of feeling like its dumbed down for kids to understand why war#is bad its framed from a childs point of view so younger audiences can pick up on it by relating to the characters. maybe an 8 year old#wont get how geopolitics works but at least they get 'hey the world is a little more complicated than everyone vs. fire nation'. same for#steven universe bc its like theyre trying to describe and put feelings into words that kids might not have so they have smth to start with#especially with the metaphors around relationships bc even if it looks unfamiliar as a kid now maybe the hope is for it to be smth you can#look back to. thats why it feels like these shows grew up with me.. instead of saving difficult topics for 'when im ready for it'#as if its preparing me for high school it gave me smth to turn in my hands and revisit again and again as i grow. stories that never#treated u as dumb all along. just someone who could learn and come back to it as many times as u need to. i loved SU for the longest time#but i felt guilty for enjoying it hearing the way ppl bash it. bc i was a kid and thought other ppl understood it better than me and made#feel bad for leaning into the message of paying forward kindness and not questioning why steven didnt punish the diamonds or hold them#accountable. but im rewatching it now and going oh. i still love this show and what it was trying to teach me#yapping#diary

Little random, but you've answered asks about Disney Princess movies before a while ago.
What are your thoughts on Frozen and Anna and Elsa?
Thoughts on Frozen
People like it, but to me it's a thoroughly "ok" film. It's far from Disney's best, not one of the worst, but sort of middle of the road. The plot's a giant mess and was clearly subject to last minute revisions (Hans's sudden villainy comes across as so sudden that it fails to make the point it was trying to make. It wasn't necessary, as the point Elsa makes isn't invalidated even if he wasn't evil and Anna still could have dropped him at the end. And we just get this "YOU FOOL, DIDN'T YOU KNOW I WAS THE MUSTACHE TWIRLING VILLAIN ALL ALONG?!" To which I can only say, "No, Hans, I didn't know that, kind of makes that scene where you left the castle to look for Anna personally very pointless. Nobody would have questioned you, dude." It makes a lot more sense when you consider Elsa was supposed to be the antagonist/misguided in initial drafts and the then desperate need for somebody to be the bad guy.)
Tangled, by comparison, is a much more put together film and in my opinion is much better, but it didn't have a hit song sung by Idina or Anna's adorable nerdiness and Elsa's general angst.
So Frozen gets to be the beloved film for over ten years on, rejuvenating the Disney brand for another generation, and I just have to sit there and take it.
(Perhaps a hot take, I'm not tuned in enough to know, but I thought Frozen 2 was much better as a film in general, much more put together/hard hitting, though it had far less memorable music/the big numbers just weren't as good. It's also a lot more hard-hitting, with none of the comedy and very little of the narrative of empowerment.)
Anna and Elsa
I do like these two and they're very believable characters who do go through character development that feels very real.
In Anna we have an isolated, awkward, young adult who is convinced that 'love' will save her, doesn't know where she stands with what was once a beloved older sister, and when she fucks things up tries to fix it without really addressing the issues she had in the first place until the very end of the movie.
She's fun, she's relatable, if short-sighted and naive, and it's clear that she does have to learn something from her adventure, and that she really didn't understand her sister and what she was going through.
In Elsa, we have someone who has been under immense pressure her entire life while also knowing that she has this terrible secret which means she will never live up to what she has to be to rule a nation. She ends up isolated from her younger sister out of terror of hurting her, which damages their relationship, and she too has growth where when we first meet her in the film, she sees coronation as only a one-day event she has to simply get over with as quickly as possible.
She's also a very relatable character, her struggle is something that speaks to a lot of people and has been iconic for over a decade for a reason, and she's refreshing in that her problems despite being a female lead have nothing to do with men and a man never enters the picture for her.
Even her moment of "WHEEEEEEEE I'M FREEE!" to Anna arriving and "NOOOOOOOOOO! ALL MY ACTIONS HAD TERRIBLE CONSEQUENCES!" is a great one as Elsa is only then really forced to confront both herself, her loved ones, and finally accept who she is by the end of the film.
TL;DR
Basically, I like both characters and I think people really like them for a reason.
But I do think the movie's a hot mess.

Bad: Maybe you're right, if I'm basing it off the same scale of where I would say I trust you, I'd put [Forever] maybe at a... 56% actually.
Etoiles: You trust me at how many?
Bad: Probably 85, 85%.
Etoiles: Only 85?
Bad: 85 is pretty good!
Etoiles: But I'm– I've never betrayed you? Am I the most trustful in the Island?
Bad: Well, it's just because of how strong you are. Being strong necessitates a slight lack of trust, you feel me?
Etoiles: Ok, but I never– I never like, did something wrong to anyone in the Island in like 4 month.
Bad: Exactly! That's why you're 85.
#Etoiles#Badboyhalo#QSMP#BBH#Bad#Also the clip isn't glitchy he's just alt-tabbed so the screen was frozen#I do think it's really interesting to contrast their opinions on trust#To Etoiles; who has never betrayed anyone; he thinks the base-line for trust should start at (or at least around) 100%#but for Bad (and many other members on the Island) trust is something that's won#you start at 0% and work your way up#That's why this disconnect happens#On a personal note I think that's why I gravitate so much to Etoiles' and Forever's characters#''Why wouldn't you trust me?'' said with such sincerity#idk I'm a sucker for loyal and honest characters

I will be updating the Frozen 3 news post soon, but wanted to throw in some thoughts regarding the new info.
So, firstly, I’m happy that the film is being delayed to 2027. That may sound shocking, but this is a big relief to me. The first two films both suffered from trying to meet a deadline, and the creators (this is probably more on the company though) refusing to delay and give themselves more time. Thus, both films have rushed elements.
It gives me hope that not only is the story being written into two films, but now they are giving themselves even more time to polish it. Especially concerning the sheer amount of story content that they want to explore— and it’s a lot.
I’ve condensed all of the questions brought on during the announcement into 5 major sections, all concerning a specific idea.
*Quick Edit* I moved the question about the Frozen Heart down from More Ahtohallan Lore to the Prince Hans section because that was always more associated with Hans, so I thought it would be more appropriate to have under that section instead.
First Major Plot Point — More Ahtohallan Lore
Why Ahtohallan has castle ruins inside of it.
The previous Fifth Spirit.
Where did the Spirits come from?
Second Major Plot Point — Elsa’s Powers
Why are her powers still growing?
Who gave her the powers?
How are her creations, like Olaf, alive?
Why doesn’t Anna have powers?
Third Major Plot Point — Arendelle Royalty
How is Anna doing as Queen?
Is Kristoff going to become King?
Are Anna and Kristoff interested in having kids?
Fourth Major Plot Point — Kristoff’s Past
Where are Kristoff’s parents?
How did Kristoff meet Sven?
Why is Sven still full of energy if he’s so old?
Fifth Major Plot Point — Prince Hans
What happened to Hans?
Who exactly is the Frozen Heart?
With all this in mind, on the concept art, not only do we see people in the castle above the sisters, we also see an ominous, viking-like shadow behind Anna and Elsa — meaning that if these are new characters, then that means that we have a giant cast at the moment.
Elsa
Anna
Kristoff
Sven
Olaf
Mattias
Yelena
Honeymaren
Ryder
Hans
Viking Shadow Guy
Castle People
Like….they’re doing the “Too much stuff, not enough space” thing again and I’m genuinely concerned haha. Thus, the delay and split into two films is a smart move. But why not just make a show? Like this screams series. Idk haha.
Also, there are a few things here that I actually thought were answered already — like, who gave Elsa her powers? Ahtohallan because of Iduna’s sacrifice. Why doesn’t Anna have powers? She’s the human side of the Fifth Spirit. But I suppose that F2 wasn’t exactly clear on these things, so maybe they want to better explore these ideas and clear up some misconceptions. Makes sense I suppose.
Also, the fact that they’re asking if Kristoff will be King or not is giving me some validation lol. I always said that Kristoff would be called a King and not Prince Consort and so far it looks like they’re considering the King title and not anything else. But we’ll see haha.
Now I’m curious what you guys think. Poll time.

[ID: dialogue from the final draft script of the pilot. BILL: Look. I know you know lots of stuff about … well, basically everything. But do you know any sci fi? He gives her a look which says basically I’m Doctor Who. /end ID]
the funniest thing about this is the fact that. genuinely. canonically. 12 knows NOTHING about sci fi. remember in last christmas how he had never heard of the movie alien. and in empress of mars when he had never heard of the terminator.

it's hilarious to me that Disney is going to be dropping Moana 2 in November, and thinks it's going to be a good idea. I'm sorry, I'm going to be in the basement watching Arcane on loop, I don't know who you think you're impressing with ANOTHER sequel

Listen, I’m very excited to learn more Ahtohallan and Spirits lore in F3, and explore more of magic and Elsa’s powers.
But you know what’s really getting me excited? The possibility (heavy on the possibility, as nothing is confirmed) of Hans returning as a villain and taunting Anna about her role as Queen. I’ve mentioned it before on my main blog, but I need to speculate and make myself more excited at this possibility.
Imagine—Hans learns that not only is Anna now Queen of Arendelle, the thing he was trying to accomplish before Elsa set off the winter, but she is also choosing a commoner Ice Harvester with no known family to be her King.
Can you imagine how pissed off he would be? That he was so close to getting what he wanted, all he had to do was wait? His reaction is definitely something to think about, especially if he returns as a villain.
Hans coming back as a villain to taunt Anna, criticize her choices as Queen and make Arendelle and/or other nations question her?
Make Kristoff nervous at becoming a King because he doesn’t know if he could do it?
And then we get Anna trying to not let his words bother her anymore, but she still feels guilt about letting him in in the first place, and maybe even has some trauma left over from her relationship with him?
A freakn’ dark reprise of Anna and Hans singing Love is an Open Door?!
The drama, the development, the depth— I’m just like, so excited at the possibilities that could come of Hans’ return and how it would affect him, Anna, and Kristoff.

What do you hope to get in Frozen 3?
It's probably not surprising at all, but I'm a big fan of Frozen :D the first movie holds a special place in my heart (the opening actually makes me emotional) and while I have a few issues with the second, I'm weak for the Frozen Aesthetic™, the characters and vibe.
I have no idea what the story for the threequel is gonna be, but I do have a wishlist!
A proper character arc for Anna. Elsa went through a great journey of self discovery+acceptance, but Anna's arc never felt... concrete?
Same for Kristoff!!!! Please please please gove him SOMETHING that doesn't revolve around Anna
And a solo song!! That isn't silly!!! (Lost in the Woods I love you but I want more)
Speaking of songs, besides Into the Unknown (my fave), Show Yourself and Lost in the Woods, the others felt a bit of a letdown. Idk maybe it's just personal taste
More outfits!!! One of my favorite parts of the movies are the pretty clothes
I know the lesbian headcanon for Elsa is popular but in my heart she's aro, so yeah. Hashtag don't give Elsa a partner at all (again, you can ship her with whoever you like obv. This is just my opinion™)
New secondary characters that don't get thrown away after their introduction. Basically what happened with everyone from Frozen 2
Let Anna use a real sword (optimistic. I believe disney has a rule for not letting their heroes use weapons against people)
#also I have seen Wish and I have a few opinions about it I might write a post soon#TLDR I liked it and wanted to highlight my favorite bits#asks#polymathart#frozen

The backlash against Frozen, which, from my observation, has cooled down (that isn't a joke, I swear-) quite a bit over the past few years, was less based on the quality of the movie itself and more on the fact that its massive success and reach really overshadowed a lot of other movies that came out prior to it and after it and was getting credited for stuff that had already been done before plenty of times, and in many cases, in those exact movies. This is why, to this day, many fans STILL refuse to give Tangled its props without trying to put Frozen down in some way. In their eyes, Tangled should have gotten the glory and accolades Frozen received, but did not, and that made them quite jealous. Overall, Frozen is far from a bad movie. It's a great movie with a great message, characters, music and does actually deserve the success and recognition it got, and some fans need to stop being so salty about it and uplift their fav movies without putting Frozen down so they get the proper appreciation they deserve as well. Although, yes, the credit this movie got for allegedly introducing themes, archetypes and tropes that had already been seen before in Disney, including movies set in a fairytale world with heroines as the protags, was undoubtedly the most annoying part about its success and is part of the reason why many tried to drag this movie and its main leads.
#disney#frozen#txt#ngl i was part of the hate train for a long time too#not as much as others tho but still i was one of these people who thought frozen was overrated af#but now i realized i was kinda full of it for that opinion#when i saw it the first time the major gripe i had with how many songs it had#but now i'm actually fine with that#idk my stance on this movie had always been a weird one#i have always contradicted myself when it came to this movie#until recently when i've finally begun to embrace it#i have always liked it and not liked it? idk. it's been weird#i do want to see thiw franchise get expanded but i'd prefer a tv series#and i think frozen ii needs a retcon ngl that movie was a whole shitshow writing wise#and the message was not as impactful i'm sorry but it's in line with the typical “the power is actually in me” bullshit#it's some selfish nonsense and is against the main theme of almost every disney movie#which is about how your dreams will come true if you have faith AND do for others. something even better will happen or you will want#something else entirely#it's about selflessness love and sacrifice whether it's romantic platonic familiar or even related to the community as a whole#but anyways that's an entirely different point#so yeah frozen isn't a terrible movie you guys. i think the anger is misplaced

I was rewatching Frozen 1 + 2 the other day, and the following question popped into my head: What if Elsa had not created an eternal winter when she ran away from the palace?
Alright, Elsa runs away after having displayed her powers but doesn't accidentally freeze the country in her flight.
Initially not much actually changed.
There's still grumblings of "witch" and "what the fuck?" from the people present, not helped since Elsa fled the scene with no explanation, and they're still sending out a search party for the queen. It's no longer as vital, the country isn't in a sudden winter because of her, but it's still pretty vital as she was just coronated and oh good god succession nonsense.
Not helping is that, like canon, Anna wants to go after her sister as she sees her running off as her fault for having prompted the ice outburst (but also that Elsa's being very unreasonable and needs to come back and calm down). Everyone wants Anna to stay and er maybe be queen instead (as Elsa was only just crowned so no one's attached) and also because they need someone in charge and can't lose both heirs in one day but as in canon, Anna won't hear of it.
"Hans, you're in charge", Anna says, and takes off. Hans hopes both Anna and Elsa die in the mountains but also wonders if he can be king without actually having married into the family yet. This is going fast even for him.
Anna's trek is still treacherous as she's hiking up a glacier, but she might not run into Kristoff. If she doesn't, she probably doesn't make it and has a terrible accident on the way. If she does, they probably make worse time without the sleigh.
Regardless, Anna and Elsa still have their confrontation but this time Elsa doesn't have her freak out about "oh my god I made it eternal winter outside". Anna may be thrown out normally, in which case she doesn't have to rush to get true love's kiss and probably camps out on the glacier until Elsa comes home already. If there's a fight then the rest of the movie happens accordingly except that there's no blizzard and no pretext of killing Elsa to stop the winter.
So...
Basically, the movie happens.
It's just not 'frozen'.

Im not gonna lie, I'm in love with McKenna Grace so happy with the ghostbusters movies. I don't really care about how they're a cash grab or purely working off nostalgia. I don't care about how it's full of nepotism babies and Paul Rudd (for some reason?) and I don't care about how it's not the same as the original movie and its sequel. Obviously not, this isn't the 80s. The effects are gonna look a little more HD, making the old ones seem cheesy. Even my aunts boyfriend thought that it wasn't as good because it wasn't as scary. I had to remind him that he watched the first two movies when he was 6 and they were reruns. I wasn't even that scared of the og ghostbusters when I was little cause it was compared to movies like idk the ring and Scooby Doo(2002) (like idk, point is, eggs cooking on counter tops aren't that freighting)
There are two movie franchises that I will watch no matter what. Jurassic Park/ World and Ghostbusters. Obviously I have a major bias for these movies but I think people will take their honorary movie critic certificate and act like they know the pinnacle of film because they saw the Godfather at 16. (Probably haven't even seen Alice (1988)) Obviously these movies are working off nostalgia bait but for what it is I'd watch both Afterlife and Frozen Empire again and again. Sorry for the schpeel I just want more fanfiction about Phoebe and that Ghost Girl
#and if you think me taking about fan fiction is any reason to disregard my argument#then you need to look past your own ass and realize just because something is made by an amateur#doesn't make it bad or whatever it just is#some times you need to look at media for what it is and accept it#it's ok to not like something I get it but things can still be seen as something that happened and not a blight forced in front of you#ghostbusters: frozen empire#phoebe spengler#ghostbusters#ghostbusters 2024#opinions with sal

What do you think of the theory that Honeymaren was made especially to please fans of #GiveElsaAGirlfriend and that initially there would be more moments made to shipp the two until Disney decided to reduce these moments? I'm not saying that they would actually be a couple, but that all of this was meticulously planned to please these fans who wanted her to have a girlfriend without confirming anything.
I always thought it was very naive to think that after years of Disney avoiding the question: “Will Elsa have a girlfriend in Frozen 2?” and they release the film which, despite not being romantic, still shows her talking near a campfire (a moment used in many romance films) with a girl of the same age while they caress a reindeer calf, sing a small duet and they talk about magic and traditions when it would have made much more sense for Elsa to have that conversation with Yelana, but the plot made the older woman stay away from there.
According to most sources I’ve seen (but I need to do more research regarding this, if I'm being honest) the reason Honey (and Ryder) were created was to simply have characters that helped the audience empathize with the Northuldra. They used to have a bit more story content in earlier drafts, which is a shame they got rid of chunks of their story because there wasn't enough screen-time for everything.
This is one of the reasons I feel Frozen 2 would've made an amazing series instead of a film, and why Frozen 3 being separated into two films is such a great idea, even if the initial intention was for more profit. Because let's face it, both the first and second films suffer from the 'too much stuff, not enough space' plot issues so having a show and double film will do wonders for the story going forward.
They also needed characters to help gear the story in the right direction. Honey tells Elsa about the Fifth Spirit, and Ryder helps get Kristoff out of the way so that Elsa and Anna could be alone during the boat scene.
The reason I think Yelena was probably not used, is because her original role was to be a villain along side Runeard, but they scrapped the idea after heavy criticism. Since they had already made Honey and Ryder, there was no point I suppose in giving Yelena a different role other than a leader type to mirror Mattias, especially since they had to shrink down the Northuldra's stories to begin with.
Now, in terms of Honey being created specifically to please fans who want Elsa to be with another woman, I can't say for certain.
I do know that there was a tweet that Jen Lee liked during a Frozen QandA on Twitter (X) where a user begged her to keep Elsa single so that people can imagine her to be with another woman if they wanted. I will see if I can find this tweet for you, but as Jen Lee deleted her Twitter, I’ve lost a lot of sources.
Unless her sentiments have changed, I think Jen Lee will try to keep Elsa single for as long as possible so that fans can decide for themselves what Elsa's sexuality is. Elsa means so much for fans of all sexual orientations, leaving her sexuality open lets fans have freedom with her character. Jen Lee was always about leaving things open for fans, so this concept is not a stretch.
Thus, the possibility that Honey was introduced so that Elsa can have a strong relationship with another woman that is not Anna, but is left open so that fans can interpret the relationship as romantic or platonic, could be a thing.
However, as said, there is no evidence for it other than speculation.
This is also the reason that I pretty confident that Elsa will never be paired off with a man either. They want to leave it open for fans to decide for themselves. Again, unless their thoughts have changed on the subject.
