spoilery research question for people who have read supergirl woman of tomorrow. I have read tom king's answer on this/the intended interpretation, but my read of the artwork was the opposite and now I'm wondering if other people thought the same way.

I’ve literally had multiple people ask me straight to my face if I was bisexual because they suspected I was and even tho I knew in all three of those situations that the person I was talking to was safe (either queer themself or an ally), it was really scary to be forced in that moment to come out without my consent, or feel forced to lie about it in order to protect myself, regardless of whether I needed to or not. I can’t imagine being a world famous celebrity and having fan pages dedicated to my alleged sexuality, analyzing every behavior I did and whether or not it was queer, calling all of my relationships PR relationships or beards because they are so convinced I am a homosexual. Either erasing my bisexuality to call me a lesbian or forcefully outing me. People who don’t even know me. It’s scary and honestly creepy enough having someone who knows you personally do it, but someone who’s never even met you? And doing it in front of the whole world? I would never feel safe enough to come out, not just because of the risk of homophobic attacks, but because the people who claim to support me are the ones that made me do it

ok objective facts we have seen:

in trigun chapter 16, those nails are 100% Elendira's work

aka she is definitely around & actively involved in Gung Ho Guns work prior to the Jeneora Rock stuff.

in trimax chapter 90, we see this:

her and Legato have been following Knives for a comparably long time, both since they were teenagers, so she's been around for a WHILE.

but when we reach Jeneora Rock, we don't see someone who looks like Elendira among the Gung-Ho Guns. the first time we actually see her is around the Dragon's Nest stuff.

... unless.

when Conrad comes in, we see this woman. they never once tell us who she is. the hair color is wrong, but the proportions are fitting. Elendira's a tall woman, after all.

whoever this woman is, we see her acting as his assistant, and then we just... never see her again

so. who the hell is this woman? is it Elendira in disguise? & if so, WHY would she be in disguise? & if not, where the hell WAS Elendira?

Wolfwood seemed surprised to see her. he'd heard of her, but hadn't Seen her (from what he knew, at least)

overall, thinking about characterizations, it's hard for me to rationalize why Elendira would go into this disguised as Conrad's assistant. she's a prideful woman & doesn't shy away from being who she is. the only real reason she Would go disguised is if she really felt she had to, but why Would she feel like she had to? everyone else was being completely open. would she have wanted the element of surprise?

honestly, we just end up with two main questions: who was that assistant woman, and where was Elendira in the Jeneora Rock incident? both would be answered if that was actually Elendira in disguise, but it would be such a strange thing to do...

drawing my time traveler character bc she was the only good thing to come out of my concept art/3d modeling class (i learned nothing about character design or 3d modeling and this character was the only assignment actually about character design that we did (i did my senior project on character design and learned way more about it than a whole semester long class that was supposed to teach me it))
