to save our children from the harsh winter cold

I write to you today with a concern that breaks my heart, they are our children who live in dilapidated tents that do not protect them from the weather fluctuations, especially in this harsh winter.

Our young children suffer the most from the harsh cold, recurring colds, and shortness of breath. Their eyes await the warmth of the sun, and their hearts yearn for a safe shelter that protects them from storms and rain.

We appeal to you from the bottom of our hearts to help us buy a new tent, blankets, and warm winter clothes for our children, so that they can face this harsh winter in peace and safety.

Every donation from you, no matter how small, will contribute to:

Providing a warm shelter: to protect our children from the cold, rain, and wind.

Maintaining their health: to reduce the risk of winter diseases.

Bringing hope to their hearts: to see that there are those who care about them and stand by them.

Thanks to your donations, we were able to provide flour, vegetables, milk, diapers and other essentials to our dear children, and we will be able to alleviate their suffering from malnutrition.

In the Tent of Sorrow

In a dilapidated tent, torn pieces of cloth hang down, as if they groan with every gust of wind, I live with my husband and my four children. The harsh winter is getting worse, and the cold is stinging their thin bones. The children shiver in the corners of the tent, their little eyes turning towards me, so I try to warm them with whatever I can find.

No winter clothes to warm them, nor enough blankets to protect them from the dampness and cold. All they have are the remains of an old blanket, and some wood that I collect to light a small fire to warm them a little.

My husband, the man who used to be proud of his strength and dignity, has today become broken and defeated. The war has displaced him from his home, and destroyed him psychologically and physically. He sits confused, looking at his children as they suffer, and finds nothing to offer them.

"Dad, I'm freezing," says little Basma in a voice choked with tears. My husband hugs her and tries to calm her down, but he has no solution.

Every day, they wake up to the sound of bullets and shelling, and to the sight of destruction and devastation surrounding them. Children have never known the taste of play, nor the taste of safety. All they know is hunger, fear and cold.

In this darkness, and in this bitter cold, a small candle of hope burns in their hearts. The hope that they will find someone to extend a helping hand to them, to help them overcome this ordeal.

Please do not forget my children, extend a helping hand to them, help them regain their lives. Every small donation, every piece of winter clothing, every warm blanket, will be like a shining sun in their dark lives. Make their winter warm, and plant a smile on their lips.

Donate and spread our campaign, and contribute to alleviating their suffering. Be a reason for their happiness, and let your donations be a message of love and mercy to them.
