kissing lighter’s scars while laying in bed together.. thoughts?

yes. the biggest reason i don’t write it is because i literally am in love with wriothesley and it’s like the exact same concept so i don’t know whether to write for lighter or wrio. BUT SINCE THIS IS AN ASK, I SHALL DELIVERRR !!

lighter doesn’t get many scars now compared to his time in those underground fighting rings. he doesn’t even show them off, choosing to be almost fully covered up. so on one particularly warm night in blazewood, he couldn’t handle the heat and took off his top, the scars now on full display.

i don’t think he particularly wants to acknowledge it either as it is a past he seems to want to depart from. however, the way your eyes follow its shapes, it’s clear that you’ve got something more on your mind.

“why’re you staring like that?” he was one to be rather straight to the point, clearly speaking his thoughts out without filtering them first. his smooth voice cut through your train of thought as he makes his way to you on the bed.

“hm? oh, you’ve got a lot more scars than i imagined,” you say so nonchalantly, a light blush on his face now. you’ve imagined this before? you’ve imagined him and his body before? he can’t help but smirk to himself after knowing that. he gets under the sheets, letting the blanket loosely cover him due to the warmth.

you got a little closer to him. it was becoming difficult for him to tell whether his body was feeling hot from the weather, the blanket or from you. your hands gently traced the edge of his scar on his shoulder, sending light shivers up his spine.

“can i kiss them?” your voice was so soft but it didn’t negate the fact that his eyes were wide from hearing you ask that. he stuttered, trying to give a response but words couldn’t come out and instead just nods to you.

he could feel your breath on his skin, warm and ticklish. it wasn’t before long that you’d begin placing small kisses along the scar. if he wasn’t blushing before this, he was definitely all red in the face now. “relax, i’m not going to bite you.” you tell him with a smirk on your face, knowing that he was getting a little tense. he could barely think of any words to say and even if he did, they’d make no sense at all.

since he has made it clear previously that he doesn’t want to talk much about his past, you decide to not ask him about it. instead, letting your kisses do the talking for you, reminding him that you still love him despite everything he has been through.

okay i was talking to sage and. new headcanon incoming. yeah, yeah, kon's bloodied corpse, we've all seen it...

but looking at it again the one part that kinda gave me pause was.

bro... did his right hand get completely ripped off? because it looks kinda like his right hand got completely ripped off. his other hand is visible, but this one is, uh. well. it SHOULD be there. (his left foot also looks. um. questionably attached. but.)

after his resurrection, we see him wearing a leather cuff on his wrist.

now it's generally drawn on his left wrist, but hear me out. what if it was actually on his right wrist. what if he started wearing that cuff as a hero + his wristwatch (also usually depicted on his left wrist but HEAR ME OUT) as a civilian because he has a gnarly fuckin scar on his right wrist, because his hand got fuckign ripped off when he died?

like the kryptonian regeneration matrix worked wonders and he got his hand back (...maybe they found it in the wreckage and buried him with it, so all the matrix had to do was reattach it), but the scar. there should be one there. (and another from where he got impaled.) do you see the vision...

(Okay so this is pre-Hunter-getting-beat-up-by-Arti, and I sorta changed it to just a mean thing she did when they were growing up lol, sorry!)

Hunter: She did a lot of mean things when we were kids, it’s hard to pick. But I guess there was one time that did hurt more than usual.

After I got the scar on my eye, I was… pretty insecure about it I guess. And she was really mean about how ugly I looked.

Considering what her face looks like now, she’s lucky I’m not out for revenge.

based on that weird dream i had except i made him a more purple/violet color like my ninjago oc anya

BASICALLY the dream is that danny was gonna Fully Die but clockwork intervened and gave him a chance at a new life in a different world, completely over from scratch. he ended up keeping his memories of his past life but because the worlds are so different the only things that were handy were like. science and math he could remember since physics mostly worked the same. he was born to two parents, john and maria mortis (they weren’t named in the dream but i decided to keep their names close to jack and maddie hehe >:3)

he ends up keeping some of his powers still-- invisibility and intangibility, which he has to re-learn from scratch, and also he can see and interact with certain shades and echoes left behind from living people (which are different from ninjago’s version of ghosts, these shades can’t interact with the world and are completely passive, but they are immune to water).

eventually he ends up in S0/S1 of ninjago training with the four core ninja and his weapon was technically a spear or staff thing but i decided that a set of kama were a cooler weapon-- they’re mostly japanese farming sickles but they are used in some katas in different martial arts in southern asia so i thought they were cool. didn’t wanna draw them tho

there’s more information i could write but there’s so much here already that maybe i should Chill out

actually so evil how much of hal's internal world gets obliterated with the rewriting of his relationships with jessica and martin.

#hal jordan #empyrean posting #ok going in the tags because im not actually v confident in my understanding of his character. i read all of his 80s/90s stuff but forgot #90% of it but ANYWAY.#so much of him just does not make sense with how geoff johns characterises him and his relationships with his parents particularly the #parallax stuff simply because of how much his relationship with the guardians and their apathy/'betrayal' is influenced by hal's original #relationship with his dad. like at its heart it's pretty much the same dynamic in how hal blindly trusts and sort of idolises the guardians #despite their repeated infractions in hope of... something in return just as he had with his father and the abuse he suffered at martin's #hands. that's what makes his anger at the guardians make sense when it does show itself because the relationship parallel didn't stop there.#as with martin hal gets nothing for his devotion. he gets nothing for doing everything that's asked of him and more and it ends the same way #too: with a man in the sky burning like a newborn star. and you lose so much of that nuance and intrigue behind that if you just make #jessica the 'bad one' because!!! you cheapen it!!!!#the whole idea of hal is that he has his father's face but his mother's scars #(to me). in the sense that they both reacted to martin the same way with that cognisance of who he was as a man yet inability to pull away #because... love. both the love they had for him and the conviction that he did or could love them too. and jessica arguably did eventually #but also she didnt did she? because she held onto that notion of love till the very end. the few scraps she had she ballooned outwards until #they became the whole. but hal didnt have even that and he spent his whole life chasing it & running away from wanting it at the same time #like i think there's something so interesting to the fact that he had to be convinced that flying was what he wanted to do. how much of that #was touched by his father? the fear that he was already too much like him than he could bear to be? he already had his face now he had his #dreams and longing for the sky. how much more could he have before he began repeating the cycle?#and at the end he even had his father's death. burning in the clouds. like there's so much there and that's not even touching on how it #impacts his relationships with other heroes. not just in the sense of why did kyle clark and diana get to keep their close yet complex #relationships with their moms when hal had to lose his (although yeah why did they) but also just how he lets himself come across to them.#because it's on purpose right? that he lets them think his reflection of his father is born out of unadulterated love for a man worthy of it #? he has his father's job he wears his father's jacket he smiles his father's smile. what else are they supposed to think.#and isnt that interesting!!! that this man who is so committed to being good & just can lie so casually to people he thinks of as friends!!!#can you see how that might be his mother through and through!!! in how she might have glossed over the abuse to other people and herself!!!#can you see how in spite of it all he might want to be perceived as his father that paragon of masculinity and resent that he is not!!!#do you understand how everything he loves has been poisoned!!! im thinking of that scene where he tells bruce about watching martin die &#wouldnt it have been so much more interesting through this lens. how he is both revealing & obfuscating at once. i hate the change sm

no art for the moment bc im tired but in my own personal hc for buckys design, he has partial facial paralysis that means he struggles with using the right part of his face (mostly evident in eating and facial expressions) and often gets phantom pains from the physical violence caused by brandon against his own will

he also deals with a lot of phantom sensations in general which gets difficult when you can feel breathing on your neck and a constant feeling of being watched and stabbed at the same time, he deals with this as expected (badly) this makes me wanna redraw the mirror sequence from walters minigame with his scars but i am tired as all hell so itll remain in my head for now

well, this took much longer than it should have lol

y'know how on the last one i said i was really shit at backgrounds? yeah i had to redraw it like 50 times lol (and it wasn't helping that i accidentally put the darker red part the same layer as the light cream and didn't realize until after i had finished :'] )

anyways, masumii palette doodle. funnily enough i ended up just. using a different palette than originally planned and it made it so much easier for whatever reason. but i'm really happy with this one too! glad i could finally figure out a pose i liked :]

The fact that all three of them now have face scars 😭😭 my beloveds.

Also I've heard some interesting theories about Megumi's face scars. But to me they honestly look like he got grabbed by the head by someone really strong with long nails like sukuna. They just look like finger indents to me which would be insane seeing as all this was started by those same fingers and now Megumi will always carry that around.
