Final thoughts on 911 season 1 now that I’ve actually watched it all:
- Abby was my favourite character of this season! Which really surprised me because Buck is like the exact type of character who’s usually my favourite (goofy with a lot of dark trauma and insecurities that they hide with jokes, himbo, bisexual coded), but the episode where Abby’s talking to her brother and she said that being a daughter and being a saint were the same thing really endeared me to her (eldest immigrant daughter core). I liked her relationship with her mom a lot too, I love how much they loved each other but how the show wasn’t afraid to show how putting all the care of someone struggling with an illness like that onto one person, can be so difficult and isolating for both people in that kind of relationship. I also really loved how dedicated she was to saving people, like I kept calling her Batman even though calling her the Oracle would have made more sense lol. Again, need the spinoff show where Abby’s just travelling the world and solving crimes!
- I cried when she left because I know from the fandom that she’s gone forever (for the most part) and that she ghosts Buck so we never even hear her voice again ugh
- I think Bobby’s arc was my favourite, it was very nice to see him heal, then backslide a bit, then get back up and keep trying. Bathena was also my favourite relationship even though it only really showed up at the end, but they’re just so cute together
- Favourite episode was episode 7 because of the way they tied together the emergencies, it was so well done and showcase of writing talent that I’m excited to see more of! Also this is when Abby solidified herself as Batman to me, she yearns for justice and the streets of Gotham I fear.
- episode 7 is also the episode with my favourite emergency of the season, the one with the gay couple where one of them had a tapeworm! They were so funny, and honestly so was everyone involved in the scene. Buck sharing his gym bro dieting tips made me laugh so hard, and Bobby just being over it was hilarious! Despite being surrounded by other pretty dark emergencies, it didn’t feel jarring!
- my least favourite arc was the hen cheating arc, I already knew they were gonna get back together and it would never be mentioned again, and it was just not fun to watch at all. Plus Hen took over w/ the intro monologues for Abby during this arc, which cut into our already limited Abby screen time, to make metaphors about cheating on her wife. UGH!
- my least favourite character was probably actually buck (gasp!). I liked him, don’t get me wrong! But a combination of the intense second hand embarrassment he gave me at the beginning of the season and my intense overwhelming love for Abigail Clark, just made me enjoy other characters more. Sometimes I felt that he was a little too immature for her, or he’d say things that would make me cringe
- my favourite scene overall was the scene where bobby was helping buck tie his tie, and he told him he looked handsome, and they were just joking around with each other! It was so cute, such an adorable father-son moment that showed some of the growth they’ve both gone through to be able to be in this situation and interact with each other like that. Ugh just so cute, will be reading more buck and bobby father-son fics THANK YEW
- my least favourite scene was of course the scene where buck is assaulted by his therapist because what the fuck was that.
- I also really hated when everyone not only thought that Buck would cheat on my beautiful wife Abby Clark, but they were also just kinda chill with it??? It felt so weird and callous?? And kinda ooc bc they yelled at him when he was single and just slanging it, but now that he’s in a relationship they think it’s none of their business?? It was so weird, and it would have been my least favourite episode if we didn’t get that awesome closing monologue to Florence and the machine from Abby at the end, which made me cry btw
- and also if the first couple of episodes weren’t kinda rough, the season got better the later we got into it, then peaked at episode 7!
All in all, I really enjoyed this season and I’m glad I decided to stop being a fandom lurker and finally watch it! Very excited to start watching season 2 whenever I get to it, because this is the season where Maddie and Eddie enter right? And Christopher!! I predict that Maddie will probably be my favourite character of the season, bc of eldest daughter solidarity and bc from what the fandom has told me she’s literally the coolest ever
- wait i lied, Athena’s mean gay husband is my least favourite character! He just lacks so much tact and has said some things to Athena that were so damn mean! I don’t think either Athena or her husband handled that whole arc well, but sometimes her husband said stuff that was like especially cruel and unwarranted. But Bucks’ still my least favourite main character sorry!
#911 ramblings#911 season 1#911 spoilers#Abby Clark my beloved#this show has set up and developed this found family thing so well#very excited to see how they all grow into loving each other even more!

Coldflash, Detective Snart AU ❄️💨
This is the classic role reversal of the hero being the villain and the villain the hero, of course in a mood of "enemies to lovers" trope for the Coldflash ship (Captain Cold and Flash).
Yooo I'm very exited, vlog's first post!
Leonard Snart is a transferred detective from Coast City, he decided to return to his hometown, Central City, to be close to his father and sister.
The CCPD does not recieve him really well, although he has demonstrated to be an elite and devote detective.
Lewis (Len's father) was a strict man, but caring and loving. They had financial problems since their Ice Cream truck did not bring the necessary income, but he supported his children everyday, in every way he could.
Lisa Snart (Len's sister) is a famous jeweler, causing criminal attraction to her and her shop, "Golden Glider".
Len decided he wanted to join the police since his mother dissapeared and no one found her.
Nora Allen's death culprit was her own husband, Henry, or at least that's how the case got close, but their kid, Barry Allen insisted that it was a "fast yellow man".
After this, Barry was a smart, introvert kid, no friends and rarely talked to someone who wasn't Iris or Joe West, his adoptive family.
He had a dead animals secret collection in the backyard, and tried to guess how they died, thanks to this he discovered he wanted to be a forensic.
Growing up, there was something about the corpses that fascinated him, the though of the murder of his mother did not scared him, if not, kinda excited him.
He works at CCPD as a forensic examinator, and is the only one who welcomes the new guy, Snart.
❄️💨
When Len arrived to the CCPD, Barry wasn't busy so he was in charge of showing him the place.
The weather got stormy, and thunders accompanied the gray skies.
After a strangely pacific day, at late night, Snart went upstairs to Barry's lab for asking him to hangout, since was the only person he knew.
Right when Len opened the door, a lightning hit Barry, bathing him in lots of chemicals.
The scientist was unconscious, and the police was stunned by the loud thunder, their memories are dizzy, after that, Barry gains his super speed.
Thanks to Snart's talent as a detective and his partner Mick, the murder rate has slowly gone downwards, leaving Barry without lots of things to do.
Barry and Len have been hanging out, and they appear to be good friends.
Annoyed by the little work he had, Barry decided to rob a store, just for having something to do as a forensic.
He went from stealing convienence stores, to robbing banks. He liked the doubt and insecurity this caused on the police officers, specially on detective Snart, who gave this criminal the name of "The Flash".
Barry was obsessed with this "game", he enjoyed how Snart tried to solve his almost impossible clues.
Once, Flash kidnapped an old museum historian, and made history riddles and clues dedicated to Snart, this case specially took weeks for the detective to solve, so Flash just killed the man, his first official murder.
After this, Len talked to Barry as a friend, and told him how he felt about the Flash.
Barry started having crisis about his identity, he enjoyed way too much being the Flash, a criminal, a killer, but still cared about the West and his new friend, Len.
"There is a reason why he is a detective, he has a lot of fun solving crimes just as I do! Oh, I'm sure he loves the Flash!" Barry said to himself looking at the mirror. "Just as I love him."
Barry asks Len out, but that night Barry decides to make the first step and takes Len's hand, now he calls him "Lenny".
Tired of the Flash occurencies, Snart went to Star Labs looking for a way to stop him, where he was offered the Cold Gun.
Now, everytime the Flash does something, it's easier to stop him with the Cold Gun and Snart's excellent marksmanship, The detective is now considered a hero after saving one of the most important men on city.
Len and Barry start going out together even more, and the forensic starts calling this like "dates". They have the first kiss.
So ye, this is basically the general idea of the AU and a good summary of the mecanism they would follow.
Let me know if you have any ideas, questions or requests. 🔎✨

Mystery March Day 21 - One of Us
(This is by far the most involved prompt I have done for Mystery March, and so I hope it turned out alright. There will be some more detailed author’s notes at the end of the writing, as there’s no possible way I can fit them all here before it. Just let me express how much of an inspiration you all have been! ENJOY!)
I said, even if I told ya
It all started with an idea, as most every work of art does. Concepts were put in place, branching off from that one base idea. From there, others came together to help get this little project off the ground. Characters were fleshed out, just as the world they lived in where. The team worked hard on everything planned, a true passion project.
When the first video dropped, we were all invested. We fell in love with the characters, story, and music. We couldn’t wait to see more, and despite all the time having to wait, it has always been worth it. Great works take time, and even with a team as dedicated as this one is, they fueled our own passions with previews, updates, character and worldbuilding, merch, and as of the most recent video, a branch into another medium to further tell their story. Their group continued to grow, bringing on more talented individuals, including voice actors.
Fours videos under the belt and one more still to come, they pour their heart and soul into this series, though they are not the only ones who do so. There’s a theory in our world known as the ‘multiverse.’ It is said that all these universes living side by side with one another create everything that exists. Can the same not be said for this team and all the fascinating works of art that came out of this one little series of four videos?
They've been looking for you and only you
It’s a tale of three friends and their dog, all stemming from a terrifying incident inside a cave. One lost their life, one lost their memory, and one lost their arm. What of the last member of their group? He lost his identity. Karma for his trickery would come back to haunt him. Guilt came to consume another, and the last to make it out alive was left wondering what was even going on.
Revenge fueled the one that came back, determined to get back at the one ‘friend’ that managed to cut his life short, and reunite with the love of his life. What started with a chase through a mansion led to the appearance of a tree woman searching for the trickster. The ghost refueled hijacks a truck, gunning down for the familiar van he once drove for all of them.
The woman catches up, shattering the glass wall protecting those in the front seat. The ghost blows the back tire that causes the van to crash. Two encounters branch from this point, one shrouded in the past, and another in the pursuit of revenge. Blonde and blue-haired humans nearly falling at the hands of their captors.
But they survive.
The dog’s true form revealed, the battle commences, blood spilling. As one disintegrates, an opening is left over for a familiar evil to take hold. White became black, demonic nature taking over the once noble being. The three friends left being the ones to bring him free of this grip. What are they to do? It’s all left to be seen...
Darkness is my signal
Not too much is known about this blonde, though despite the change to his physical appearance, there are parts of what defined him that have not changed. He’s had to adjust his lifestyle, but seems to have made the most of his new life. He may have even found some comfort in a bit of an unusual source. Anything to keep him from the self-isolation he seemed content to bring upon himself because of his condition.
So what are you to me, what are we to you?
The cave incident plays out like normal, there is one major change in the timeline of events. The blonde is sent tossed over the cliff along with his best friend, the entity that caused all their problems still trapped inside his body. When the ghost reformed, his anger was washed away at the sight of his friend suffering the same fate, or so he believed. Once free, it was nothing but a rough struggle to hold onto sanity, not just for one of them, but both.
One to keep calm, helping his friend to try and stay lucid.
The other fighting the terrifying entity inside him for control, while changing his body to fit the demon’s needs.
The blonde won, but at what a cost? Green skin covering his body, feet and hands sporting yellow-tinted claws. The posture of his own feet changed, causing him to have to learn how to walk all over again. A tail with a tuft of orange hair, and two large wings attached to his back. Last of course, were the horns on his head, and the blacked out eyes with amber pupils. He was in despair over the turn of events.
At least he had his best friend to help him. He wouldn’t have been able to do this without him. Well, this, and the series of events that came to follow. The two were eventually united with their final friend, but their not-dog wasn’t convinced of the blonde’s mind. It didn’t matter that he didn’t act like a demon, as he still looked like one, accepting the pain brought on him.
Drastic measures were taken to ensure freedom of the ghost, no matter how unnecessary it was. Adjustment takes time, and a good talk was what the four of them needed.
But are you one of us?
Are you one of us?
What seemed like a simple task, well maybe not simple, but one that was plausible spiraled into a long drive across the country in search of a cure for the ghost’s condition. All it took was one ingredient: werewolf blood. Seven weeks after the start of their trip, two were starting to lose hope, the last of their trio determined as always. A blur running across the front of their van was enough to bring their hopes back up, chasing down what looked like a big wolf.
To just miss it. It seemed like another dead end for their search.
Until the blonde was all alone.
The wolf jumped out of the shadows, teeth sinking down into flesh. Were it not for the arrival of the kitsune, who knows what would have happened. The injured one was brought back to his friends, patched up, and taken in for proper treatment. A headache marks the night of the full moon, a night when werewolves are said to be forced to transform. What will happen for them? Most left to the whim of try blue ghosts deemed as blueberries. We shall see where their questions and actions take this new werewolf and his friends.
Tell me, are you one of us?
Said, are you one of us?
Tales of legends are passed down, but come from a place of truth. Those that speak of a king gifted a sword with a beautiful, glowing, purple gem just before the silver of the blade. This is a gift from the Lady of the Lake, and one not to be taken lightly. It comes as a surprise when the weapon turns out to be sentient, and the two not always getting along.
Sometimes the king can be a little harsh on his partner.
And sometimes the sword can refuse to work in situations where his help would be greatly appreciated.
They must learn to work with one another if they hope to overcome the obstacles placed in front of them. The question is can this be done, or will they continue to bicker with one another?
I know that this sounds crazy
An unfortunate case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time causes the members of the separate mystery solving groups to be body swapped with one another. A kid stuck with adult hunters that deal with magic, as well as otherworldly dangers, and an adult stuck with a bunch of kids that seem like they may be in way over their heads. The ultimate goal is for the two groups to come together, and find a way to swap the souls in each body back to their original home.
Easier said than done.
One gets to learn the truth of a horrifying incident, something that tore friends apart, and damaged the people of their group beyond some repair. A kind heart is offered to them despite all this, helping to try and ease the burden even if he has nothing to do with them.
The other sees first hand what kind of trouble a group of kids can get themselves in. His own problems arise, and in typical fashion, does not wish to push them onto anyone he’s been stuck with. It’s a little harder to convince some of this new group of the world he has seen, and learned from; but, if there’s one thing he can do, it’s to still help those around him, and lend a hand when a mystery comes along their way.
Two outsider perspectives looking in, and it’s a matter of what adventures they will have before and after they come together again.
Waiting for this moment, can you see me?
A whirlwind of emotions, pushed only further at the hands of abuse, a blonde is left to flee from his own home to try and preserve himself. He fled through the states, ending up at another corner of the US. His mind might have been broken, but that didn’t stop one person from becoming the most important in his life, nor the three that came to follow from their union. The haunts of old were constantly clinging to him, no matter how careful he was so that none could find him, and even when those fears returned, he never let them get in the way of his family. There was an understanding between them.
But all that fear came crashing back when one single letter was hand passed to him by his former friend’s father.
Even terrified out of his wits, he found the courage to pack up some of his family to return to his old home. The past came back in full force, as well as the reveal of a curse that only seemed to have the power to vanquish. The people that treated him the worst came back to him for help. The same blue-haired girl who’s father delivered the father nearly brought the end of three children with her partner in crime. The wraith that made his life a living hell came back trying to act as if there was something he could do to make up for what he had done.
And the demon that caused all this to happen in the first place was now roaming free...
'Cause I know that you're out there
Almost as if the reset button had been hit, the blonde wakes up thrown into the past, a time when his best friend was still alive, but… it wasn’t the same. The blonde was still the same one from the future, and new friends that his past friends would know nothing about showed themselves. How was he meant to be like his old self when anytime he looked at the purple wearing man, all he saw was the vengeful ghost out for his life?
Events aren’t meant to play out the same way, and they don’t. Despite this, some things can not be changed. The demon still found his way to the same host, though what he chose to do was different. Even with all the chaos, at least the one man didn’t lose his life.
And he gets a front row seat to what his blonde friend had to go through in the future he once came from. It hurt. Emotions still rang high, even if the circumstances are not the same.
This darkness is my signal, come and find me
Sometimes the past can be changed and have one new timeline play out, but what if that same man from the future was now thrown into multiple iterations of the same events, each one spent trying to make it a perfect outcome for all four of them? Well… after a few rounds it didn’t matter if he got to be part of their ending. All that mattered was fixing things for the other three. That was his assigned duty.
Death ended each try, waking the man back up in his bed, whether that be at the hands of someone else, or himself. He just needed more time, plan, and make sure he got it right. He could do it, he was determined to do so.
No matter how much it was tearing him apart.
And when enough was finally enough, it was up to the three left to try and convince him that even with pain, they could continue on with their lives. He didn’t have to keep fighting anymore. He could take an ending that hurt, but one they could heal from, rather than spending so many years trying and trying, all to end with a repeat.
As having to remember all of that hurt.
Are you one of us?
Are you one of us?
What started out as just another night of sleepwalking led the blonde to the steps of a very familiar mansion. Fleeing from an unseen threat caused him to swallow his fear, taking the first step inside. There was no greeting this time, save for the slamming of doors behind him. The only light provided was a light purple of three candles, lifted by the only hand he had. A journey up a flight of stairs and down the hall, coming to a plaque with his name on it.
Entrance strangely granted to him with the twist of a knob from a hand that wasn't there.
The night spent in a bed, waking up to find he had become a prisoner. It seemed death was what would come to him, whether it be at the hands of his former best friend, or by his own. After all, there was a reason his room was on the second floor. Revelations come to light with the appearance of a certain green arm… wearing a familiar, black wristband.
Friendships ruined, for another reason than before. Another friend found searching for him. Both started for selfish means, but it was selflessness that sent him back into the house, even though an evil from the past threatened them once more.
Tell me, are you one of us?
Said, are you one of us?
It’s not everyday that some dive into the past of these character’s lives, but what would happen if one young, scared blonde came across an ancient tree? One that was alive in more ways than one. A strange feeling washed between the two of them, a bond made from the day the blond fled into her woods to hide from the one hunting him. He came to her more than once, and yet every time he did, she sought to rest his soul.
And soon, the tables had turned. Now she was the one in need of rest, though she did not realize it yet until she got the same comfort she once gave to the blonde. His pack adopted her, and he took care of her rot. Names of a powerful thing to these beings, and they knew each other by that power word.
This was not the end of their story. The three friends and dog were reunited, of course the blonde being the one to decide to choose the home where his wooden friend resided. There’s no denying that he was still healing, but he found the courage to try and seek it for himself. The bluenette grew curious about the tree in their backyard, and the final finds an outside source to try and round his curious status.
Are you one of us?
Are you one of us?
The once ghost only turned out to be half deceased, but the hatred still remained. Whether he liked it or not, the blond was at fault; but, he had a plan. One that was sure to fix everything. Find the true cause of their misery, proof that he was just as much a victim.
It was a plan that split their group apart. The dog chose to go with the man on his search, while the bluenette stayed with their half dead friend. The hunt is on, but who’s to tell how the story is to go on from here. Will they each succeed with their goals? We shall see.
Are you one of us?
Said, are you one of us?
The ghost finds himself in the company of others like him. Not ghosts, but skeletons from various worlds. The logistics of how this came to pass is a mystery, though he does not seem to find these details too important. Separated from his ‘friends,’ he finds new ones in this strange group of individuals. They seem to naturally bounce off one another, though some still have trouble catching the ghost’s triggers to his anger. Thankfully, most situations involving this aren’t left to fester.
Their local hang out at Manny’s place is full of stories, interactions between these liked characters. Some funny, some more serious. Whatever the case may be, even if he’s not in the same place as most other ghosts like him, he’s found a place where he can fit in.
Are you one of us?
Are you one of us?
A prince and a noble of green came together, an unholy union that was meant to lead to a prosperous life. Perhaps, but only for one half of that pair. Concerns were dismissed, comfort was sought by an evil man from the one he supposedly loved, and the other tried to find what little comfort there was in his constricting hold. It took the support of two outside his kingdom, and two strangers that wormed into his life to stand up to the terror in his life.
And yet… even with their help… and his desire to lend his help in return…
It wasn’t enough.
A life ended, but the king came back. He was not about to give up on the kingdom he always poured his heart and soul into. Years he seemed to be alone, though one by one, four beings came into his company. He still had those that aided him in life, but now he had more to add to his family. A pink rabbit, golem, a purple imp, and a dark girl with a skull marking. Each had their own story, and a place with him.
And he would see to their safety as much as anyone else in his kingdom.
Tell me, are you one of us?
Said, are you one of us?
Some characters are unique to the world, not all always branching off the main four. Of course, that doesn’t mean there aren’t some made with connections to them in mind. Each is special, and built with as much care as anyone else…
Whether it be a cousin to the blonde, gray with orange highlights rather than the way around, a darker aesthetic, but still similar style to his cousin. A tattoo pattern along his left arm.
A green haired ghost, one met when the group of friends were out together. Something seemed about ready to suck her inside, the ghost reaching out to save her. She seemed to stick with them since.
A young woman dressed in red, blue, and brown. Golden pearls hang from her neck, and a black shawl wrapped around one shoulder. A brown cat accompanying her and group at times, and one that seems to have a power of her own hidden just underneath.
Are you one of us?
Some characters branching off the core four, and even some of those that were created as their own entity for this series chose to build their stories and characters with one another. Their worlds cross over to one another, relationships naturally build, and so too do the special elements and plots to separate them from one another. Each one of them is equally unique.
Whether it be from the multitude of different colored ghosts, each of them centered around their own story and emotions.
A blue-haired girl with one strand that is lighter than the other. A snowflake twinkled in her left eye, and a roller derby team she has been dedicated to for years counting on her.
The same mechanic, though with more visible scars to the incident in the cave. So much love and care to give, even to those in other worlds, even if the gray faes take a little too much pleasure in bringing him grief.
A black robed king, living far beyond the grave, glowing locks of hair flowing through the air. He’s been seen before, but this one on another plane, a chance to interact with others outside his grown family.
Are you one of us?
Are you one of us?
This amazing group of people, as well as many others come together over a series we all love and cherish. We create our own works of art, but not without credit to the original source. From this point and on, we only seem to grow as a collective, continuing to create as we wait, and surely even after the series comes to a close, it will hold a special place in our hearts. So long as we are all here, we shall continue to spread our joy over mystery skulls animated, supporting one another, no matter how small or big someone may be.
We extend our open arms to one another, and to those new to this fandom...
“Said, are you one of us?”

(Author’s Notes: Seriously, this fandom has been an amazing inspiration, and I’m so happy to be able to take part in Mystery March. There was no other good prompt to really do this for, and I thought this would be a clever way to give tribute to the many amazing people and ideas/stories they have come up with. I tried to keep things short and vague for some, as there are some things I don’t want to give away, so you can check them out if you haven’t. I know there’s no possible way I could get everyone, but I tried to get as many as I’ve fallen in love with and not repeat anyone twice (even though I think I broke that rule twice). Again, thank you all so much, and I hope you enjoyed this.

FORMAL INTRODUCTION FOR KITAHARA KOJIRO
hi, for some bizarre reason unbeknownst to even me, this muse has been like half a year in the making (actually, it’s been 5 months but that’s close enough for to still feel shame), but he’s finally here. the ““ evil ”” witch oc! witch man who does murders! whatever you want to know him as! anyway, from now on you just know him as kojiro or koj bc that’s his name <3 please look under the read more link for more info! (WARNING: the following will touch on darker themes like death, murder and, to a lesser extent, abuse. this is a heavy character so please keep that in mind if you ever wish to interact!)
BASIC FACTS
firstly, this oc is mostly connected to tsukidate sho, my witch detective oc. the connection mostly lies in the fact they’re both witches who interact with crime/murder in some capacity but their families are also close.
his name is kitahara kojiro ( 北原浩二郎 ), known as either kojiro or koji by those around him. i haven’t decided his exact birthday yet but he was born in 1990 and is approx. 31 years old. (i understand this is ‘older’ by tumblr rp standards but, by normal people standards, early 30s is still relatively young so basically, if u make old ppl jokes, i will bite u)
technically speaking, kitahara is his father’s surname but he never really knew his father and was raised by a single mother. however, his mother made the choice of raising him with his father’s name in an attempt to distance the pair from her own family. i’ll explain why that is the case in the backstory section of this post.
kojiro is a witch. he’s not involved in any broader witching community nor does his being a witch have much bearing on his professional life but he is a talented witch, despite being trained only by his mother. what he DOES use his magic for, however, is to cause a lot of problems.
oh yeah, he’s also cursed. and he kills people. because he’s cursed. again, i’ll explain this in more detail further in the post but it’s kind of an important fact. he was cursed to die at twenty years old and he’s still alive eleven years later because the only way to hold off death is to kill other people <3 omg that’s awkward
in his normal everyday life, kojiro works as a cake decorator and does photography on the side too. he’s a creative person and tbh he developed a lot of stupid hobbies in his teens, thanks to the belief he was gonna die by the end of them, so he ended up making a living out of what he liked. he also didn’t go to uni because he didn’t see the point because, again, he thought he’d be dead by 20 and then, when he wasn’t, he stopped caring.
it’s also important to note that he, uh, doesn’t give off murderer vibes at all. he’s friendly and sociable (and not in the ‘this guy’s definitely a weirdo’ way).
i kept calling him ‘evil witch oc’ while i was working on him but, as i’ve said before, i think that’s actually a little too simple and i wouldn’t actually call him evil. he’s NOT a good person but i don’t think evil is the right word for him either. he doesn’t believe he’s a good person either but he’s learned to justify his own actions as a means of survival. kojiro doesn’t enjoy killing people, he doesn’t take any pleasure from the act of murder, but he’s also relatively calm about it too. since he doesn’t have to do it on a super regular basis, he prefers to target shitty people and esp corrupt witches in positions of authority (not really in a self-righteous way, more just because they piss him off). he has specific personal reasons for this.
he has a pretty intense fear of death. you think he’d be over it, having spent his whole life knowing he was meant to die early, but the ability to push his death back sort of flipped some switch in his head and, over the years, he went from quiet apprehension to paranoid obsession.
why is this muse 30 years old? firstly, because i want him to be. that would probably be enough but also his age actually IS important. the vibe i’m going for with this muse is, as i’ve said like once before, is what happens to the hero of the story after they complete their quest? what if that quest doesn’t go as planned? kojiro’s quest was to hunt down the demon associated with his curse. that’s his original ‘story’. what i want to explore here is the aftermath of that, what happens after the weight of the quest comes crashing down on the hero and they return to normal, everyday life where they’re forced to shoulder it as though it’s nothing. a decade after his initial story, he’s worn out. he’s not the same person he was at the start.
BACKSTORY
this isn’t going to be written in a super formal or tidy way because i honestly just can’t be bothered turning this into a proper piece of decent writing. this is only going to be in paragraph form because i don’t like putting backstories into bullet points unless it’s super brief.
kojiro was born in 1990 as the first (and only) child of his unmarried mother (as yet unnamed) when she was just nineteen years old. she was raised in a strict and traditional witching family so the fact that she’d had this child out of wedlock AND that the father wasn’t a witch didn’t exactly land well. regardless, they let her stay in the family home but it would soon turn out that the child was cursed. according to a member of tsukidate family (i.e; sho’s family who, as i said before, are on good terms with kojiro’s family and who are also knowledgeable in the realm of curses), the curse determined that the child would die on the day of his twentieth birthday unless he was able to kill the demon associated with the curse.
as if the judgement from her own family wasn’t enough, the curse brought with it a lot of stigma from the witching community and so his mother made the decision to leave home by herself when kojiro was a year old. all she could afford was a small, one bedroom apartment but, so long as she and her son had a roof over their heads, anything was good enough. kojiro would live a relatively normal life, going to school with other children his age and away from other witches, but his mother would teach him what she knew. although she wanted to him to live as easily as possible, she felt she had to prepare him for his inevitable encounter with the demon. kojiro grew up knowing about the curse too. there was no way to keep it a secret --- even if weren’t cruel to hide it from him, the curse had left a visible mark on him (still working out the details of what this looks like and where on his body it is but it basically looks like a tattoo to most people).
when kojiro turns eighteen, he decides he’s old enough to face this demon and claim control of his own life (maybe i’ll write this as an actual drabble / piece of writing one day bc i’m reeeally brushing over it here). it had been trapped by his family and forced to lie dormant until kojiro would arrive to take it down. what the demon reveals to him, however, changes everything. there is no cure to this curse, the demon tells him, everything he was told is a lie. the curse, it turns out, has tied the demon to him and the only way to kill the demon is for kojiro to die along with it. the reveal is this: when kojiro born, they took him from his mother for a short time. i want to emphasise that her family are pretty shitty people because they decided this would be the perfect opportunity both to punish her and to solve a very specific problem -- getting rid of this demon. the same member of the tsukidate who ‘diagnosed’ the curse was the one who put it on kojiro. i’ll explain the actual curse and story behind it (and the demon) in more detail at a later date but the basic gist of it is that kojiro’s family lied to him and used him as a disposable means to an end. his mother, for the record, was entirely unaware of this. but what else does the demon tell him? although the curse cannot be lifted, it can be held off. this demon thrives off death and, through death, it can stay strong and continue to keep kojiro alive. if it grows weak and it is not sustained, kojiro will grow weak along with it and inevitably die. kojiro informs the demon that he will not kill anybody. that is out of the question.
a month before his twentieth birthday, kojiro kills a man. he had tried to forget about everything the demon had said, tried to forget that his own family had set him up for guaranteed destruction, but it hadn’t been easy. it had set him on edge and he’d become unstable. he’d fallen into a slump and his friends grew worried for him. yet, after a while, he came to accept it and tried to make peace with his life as it was. he put it to the back of his mind as best he could. but he’d discovered that the man his mother had been seeing over the past few years since he’d moved out to live on his own was abusive. so he killed him. everything the demon had told him risen to the surface and he’d asked himself does it matter if this guy dies instead of me? after all, kojiro was curious. he didn’t really want to die and he had wondered if the demon was telling the truth. to this day, kojiro doesn’t know what to believe but it’s much too late for all that now. he followed his mother’s boyfriend home and broke his neck in a dark alleyway. thanks to the magic he’d been taught growing up, he was able to ensure that nobody every traced him to the accident and, when the clock struck midnight on his twentieth birthday, kojiro broke down crying with relief.
he wasn’t dead. he still isn’t dead. he’d never wanted to die. over the years, the killing has gotten a lot easier. over the years, the answer to that question comes much quicker; if somebody has to die, why should it be me?

Undercover Secrets
MASTERLIST
Request from Anon: The reader is not part of the team, but works downstairs doing undercover work, but her specialist area is ... . Hotch asks her boss if anyone is in that area as it's related to a case JJ has brought to the team, and he says Y/N for a "one off case only". After a week, Y/N solves the case by herself, and when the team are having drinks at a pub nearby, Hotch asks Y/N's boss if she can join the team permanently. He originally says no, but comes around. Y/N says yes.During the case, Spencer develops a crush on Y/N and once she says yes, he asks her on a date which she says yes to.
A/N: The specialist area is completely made up and I don;t even know if it would work, but I had fun with it. Please don’t look too deeply into it. Also I really suck at writing case details and dialogue, please forgive me. ]
Spencer Reid x Gender Neutral Reader (The request says she, but there are non pronouns in the writing)
Word Count: 1.8k
----------
You were walking to the elevator on the fourth floor. You have been requested to help work a case with the BAU. A request to help on a case was normal. After all, that was your specialty. But a request from the BAU? Something is up.
You are what they called an infiltrative agent. Each agent has an identity set up within a mob organization in the United States. You work with the Ukrainian gun runners. You’ve had this cover for years. Whenever there is a case that is suspected to be tied to this mob, you are brought in to investigate. You can go to any of the different clusters of this group and they will welcome you with open arms,
You didn’t even know where or what the case was yet, but you were happy to help. Especially since that cute agent you like works for the BAU, Spencer Reid. Maybe you will get to work with him for a bit.
You walked in moments before the briefing started. The first thing you noticed was Spencer. The only open seat was right next to him. This must be your lucky day. That is when Agent Hotchner walked in with Penelope Garcia. The briefing started, so you didn’t have any time to flirt with Dr. Reid.
The case was definitely interesting. Women were being killed in Milwaukee. The killings have the same M.O. as some Ukrainian hit men, but there is a ritual that isn’t normal. So this is why they brought you in. It was most likely a member of the mob who was straying from the organization and killing on his own. If a hit man was going freelance, bodies were going to start dropping more rapidly.
The rest of the team was thinking the same thing.
“Agent Y/L/N, I assume you have a go bag ready?” Hotchner asked you.
“Yes, sir.” You gave him a little salute. When you did this, you thought you saw Spencer smile, but it may have just been your mind.
“Great, Wheels Up in 20.” With that, everybody started to pack up and leave the room.
You were so excited. Sure, you got to travel sometimes to work a case, but this was different. The BAU was legendary. You were so lucky to get a chance to work with them. This could mean big things for your career. Not to mention, you got to work with the most attractive man in the building.
----------
You looked around the plane for a place to sit. There was a couch in the back that looked especially comfortable. You decided that was where you were going to sit for this flight. It was a mere coincidence that Spencer also wanted to sit there. This would give you a chance to talk to him.
Along with being handsome, he was so smart. As the team talked about the case, he was adding in statistics and other facts that were relevant. Though every time he started to ramble, somebody would cut him off. You thought this was very rude. What if what he had to say was interesting.
Either way, the secondary briefing and preliminary profile took up the majority of the time of the flight. This left almost no time to socialize with any of the team. Even though you were only here for one case, you wanted to make a good impression. Hopefully you might get invited back for other cases if they needed someone from your division.
When you landed in Milwaukee, everybody split up. You joined Hotchner and JJ at the police station. Apparently you were going to help sort through mob files and start setting up case boards. If this was all you were going to do, this may be more boring that everyone let on.
Eventually everyone else joined you. Everyone was just staring at case files and boards. You had to admit, you thought this was going to be more field work. Your job now was quite a bit in the field, so sitting around looking at files and talking about them just makes you feel antsy. Eventually a ringing cell phone broke the silence that had been lingering for a while now.
“Hotchner,” he answered the phone. He stood there for a minute, just saying ‘okay’ every now and then. He hung up the phone and spoke to the team. Another body was just found, I need two people to go check it out.”
You jumped up and volunteered to go. Anything to get out of this station for a while.
‘Great, Reid go with her. The rest of us will keep working here. Call and let us know what you found when you have something.”
The two of you left the station and headed towards the SUV’s parked outside.
“Should I drive or do you want to?” you asked Spencer.
“I’m not a big fan of driving, so you can.” he replied curtly
You both got into the vehicle and headed to the crime scene. The car ride was silent. At the scene, Spencer spoke only when necessary. Even though you didn’t personally know him, you knew this was abnormal. You heard stories about him and his talkativeness. So why wasn’t he like that with you? Did he hate you or something?
You couldn’t get the thought out of your head. Maybe you were undesirable. Maybe you were too loud or your personality was too off putting. No matter the reason, Spencer didn’t like something about you. He only talked or interacted with you whenever it was crucial. Otherwise, he would talk with other people.
----------
A week came and went. The unsub was still killing women. Spencer still wouldn’t talk to you. Now sometimes he would leave a room when you walked in. This guy was an ass.
You had no good leads, when suddenly that changed. There was something about the newest victim that was slightly different than the others. She was a Jane Doe, but you knew she had a six year old kid because of her hips. None of the other victims were mothers. This could lead you to the killer. That along with the fact that she had the mob symbol tattoos on her shoulder gave you all the information you needed to know. You yelled for everybody on the team to join you in the conference room. As they came in, you called Garcia.
“Universal wealth of knowledge, how may I help you?” she answered the phone.
“Is this Penelope Garcia, the tech analyst?”
“Yeah, what can i do for you?”
“I need you to look at birth records from six years ago in Milwaukee. ”
“That’s a lot of names, what else do you got?”
“Look at those where the mother was of Eastern European Descent. She either immigrated or is first generation.”
“I have 12 women.”
“Ok, how many of those also have a father of Eastern European Descent.”
“Only One. The father’s name is Borya Dyachenko. He has no known employment records, but oh wow.”
“What Garcia?”
“He lives in a huge house just outside of town. Sending you the address now.”
The team rushed out the door. They had only one goal in mind. Catch this bastard.
Luckily they did catch him, and he was the unsub. That meant it was time to go home. You were excited for this. As much of a fun experience this was, it was also very tiring.
----------
You were all out for drinks the night after you got back. The case was tough and everybody needed to unwind. They invited you because you were crucial to the case and they genuinely enjoyed your company. Well most of them anyway.
You were all sitting around laughing and having a good time when Morgan asked a question that addressed the elephant in the room.
“How did you know about the father being Eastern European as well?”
“It was quite simple actually. The tattoo on her back means she was part of the mob I go undercover with sometimes. I have the same tattoo.” You could feel Derek looking at you, trying to figure out where that tattoo was. “Anyway, mob members normally fraternize within the mob, which means we were looking at another man. Also the fact that she was the only one with ties to organized crime probably meant she was the real target all along. So I went with my gut.”
“Well it was very impressive Y/N” Hotch spoke up. “ I talked to the director and they approved a transfer of you to the BAU, if you want it that is.”
“Oh wow,” you sighed. “ How did you manage that?”
“I may have pulled a few strings. You have a lot of talent, and I think you could be a useful asset to this team.”
“I would love to join the team, but there is one person I have to talk to first.”
“Alright, just let me know.”
You walked over to the bar, where Spencer was standing. He was waiting on a drink. He noticed you and turned away. Luckily, you were faster and stopped him before he could get too far.
“Hey,” you shouted as you pulled him towards you. “Have I done something to offend you?” His cheeks started to turn red. You figured this was anger rather than what it truly was, infatuation.
“No, not at all. Why?” He questioned as if he didn’t already know.
“Because you seem to be avoiding me and I was just offered a position on the team. If I take it, I need to know that I won’t be spending half my time avoiding you.”
“I’m not avoiding you for the reason you think Y/N.”
“Then why the hell are you doing this?” You were almost shouting at this point.
“Because I have a crush on you!” Now he was shouting. “I didn’t want it to affect anything so I just stayed away from you. Because I knew if I talked to you or got close to you, I wouldn’t be able to resist doing this.”
In one swift motion, he grabbed your head in his hands and pulled you toward him. He hungrily kissed you.It was a welcome surprise on your part. It wasn’t long before you pushed into him, making the kiss more heated and passionate. His hands were tangled in his hair and yours in his. Eventually, he pulled back from the kiss.
“You should take that position.” he whispered
“Sounds like a plan” you smirked
“Do you want to go get some coffee?”
“That sounds amazing Spencer, let’s go.”
He held your hand in his as you both walked out the door. Office romances normally weren’t your thing. But this time, it definitely was.

Kissed by the Baddest Bidder Part 1 - Eisuke Ichinomiya Route (up to Proposal Epilogue)
This is my next guilty pleasure game lolol. Honestly, the premise of the heroine getting sold in an auction and being bought/saved by one of the dodgy rich guys makes it a dubious premise, but I love this kinda "trash"🤣 Eisuke seems like one of the most popular Voltage guys so I do want to see him in sequels haha, and yes, I already played the main story since it was free on the app, but I've kinda forgotten it, so I'll refresh my memory by playing it on the Switch again haha. I also bought My Forged Wedding and Our Two Bedroom Story so yay, more to come~ hahaha. I hope to also buy Scandal in the Spotlight and Kings of Paradise (when it comes out and goes on sale XD) when I'm done with others so yep, lots of Voltage stuff coming I guess hahaha.
I always feel sorry for the heroine that Eisuke makes her run to him within 5 minutes when he calls her, like dudeee, that's ridiculous. Anyway, it's nice that he's teaching her stuff so she's not just his toy to use. I remember finding it hilarious how Eisuke planned to use Soryu as the next "sacrifice" from the beginning and have Carolina fall in love with him instead🤣 She's very tame and silly for an Italian mafia boss' daughter but I guess we should feel blessed about that lol. Even though a lot of the things Eisuke does is questionable, it's nice to know that his reason for being involved in all this underground stuff is because he's searching for his little sister that he got separated from when their parents passed away and they were adopted by different families. It's interesting to think that Eisuke wasn't born a rich boy and actually worked very hard to get where he is now in repayment to the Ichinomiya family but also because I'm sure all this power helps him get more connections to hopefully find his sister one day. I think it's really cute how much he's opening up to the heroine now, but I kinda feel sorry for her in a sense that when Takahiro (her boss) and her finally have a nice thing going on, she's falling for Eisuke.
To be honest, their "love" is rather questionable considering how it's mostly just the heroine listening to everything he says, caring about him, whilst he uses her for what he needs to do and then kinda warms up to the idea of her staying with him and enjoys it. I mean, he barely let her go out and always called her back for trivial things lol. So yeah, even though he's "nice", I find it difficult to accept him, but I guess hopefully the sequels might change that since there's so many haha. I appreciate him trying to protect her though, it's nice to see those rare moments he shows how much he cares about her. I have to say though, that dramatic ending where the heroine picks between Takahiro and Eisuke is so... weird lol, kinda cringy loll. Anyway, let's see His PoV! Honestly, His PoV was nice but doesn't really add that much to what we already knew tbh, like I guess you can see his thought process for the important events, but yeah doesn't really feel like I read anything haha. The epilogue was nice mainly because he FINALLY got rid of all his groupies, like geez, took him a while considering his intolerance for such women who follow him around all the time lol, but the highlight was definitely the heroine getting him to honestly tell her that he loves her. I think it really helps how she always voices to Eisuke what is important to her, and he in turn understands that it's important to her so he listens and reciprocates, it's pretty sweet.
I'm glad Eisuke found his sister in the Season 1 Sequel. Yukari is so cute. I thought it was really nice how the heroine understood how much Eisuke cherished the possibility of meeting his sister again, so if he's rejecting meeting her then there must be a good reason for it. It's pretty dramatic how Eisuke ended up having to save Yukari's husband's father and their wedding in order to have the father have a better opinion of him lol. I'm just happy that Eisuke doesn't have to force himself and lie about his feelings towards finding his sister again and stuff tbh, but it was kinda sad how Eisuke really didn't look for the heroine for days when she "left" him due to not being able to understand his attitude towards Yukari before everything was resolved. I have to agree with the heroine though, Eisuke is just really stubborn about not showing his feelings, but I guess he's getting better at it with the heroine so it's all good lol. I kinda find it cute how Baba was the one to tell the heroine how much Eisuke cares for her, I guess all the guys will get a chance to cheer her up and tell her different sides of him?🥲 It was cute how they visited Yukari's new home and thought about marriage~ Lmao at Eisuke just building a hotel in Dubai because her dart fell on it.
Ooh so, S2 revolves around Dubai~ Gotta feel sorry for the heroine that she nearly got killed for trespassing when it wasn't even her fault. But now she's forced to work at the Dubai hotel as a sort of "punishment" and to let her go from her crime lol. Gotta love how Eisuke just bought an island to live on here lol. Aww, it took a long time, but it's actually really cute how soft Eisuke is with the heroine. I also really like how he's pretty open with their relationship to the others. Do a lot of Japanese people really hate green peas?? I find it so funny that a lot of characters hate green peas, but I guess it's more seen as a "childish" thing haha. So yeah, seeing Eisuke try to say he hates green peas in a prideful way was adorable to say the least. Anyway, Hishikura is quiteeee dodgy and weird lol, why does he want to be an auction manager though, does that help him become the future prime minister?🤔 And I found it so silly the way the heroine "won" Hishikura and left him, like shouldn't the first thing Eisuke and them thought of was the fact that this was an illegitimate auction bid when the product (heroine) was obviously not the dancing girl that was supposed to be sold?? Why did we have to waste so much time on something so simply solved just like that?? Honestly though, I'm sure Hishikura could have made some other excuse though, but still, could they have not resolved it better and had a better reason to allow Hishikura be a part of the gang? Lol.
Sometimes I think I underestimate how much Eisuke likes the heroine, because wow, to protect her, he's willing to let people think he's "running away" from Dubai and all the troubles there, and I guess last time with Hishikura, he made it pretty obvious how important she was to him. Like, Kishi and Soryu being bodyguards for the heroine are understandable (but honestly a waste of their time lol) but I'm not sure if Hishikura, Ota and Baba are very good lol. Anyway, trust Eisuke to propose in such an unromantic way loll. Full just gave her the papers and told her to sign it loll. Anyway, I'm surprised they never had a hotel branch in London, but it doesn't matter since Eisuke can build wherever he likes lol. Wow, like I know Eisuke is selfish and the heroine is very accommodating, but I'm surprised she wasn't mad or even annoyed at all that Eisuke just took back the "proposal" and said nah, not getting married anymore since it's unnecessary. Like excuse me??? And the way the heroine knows he loves her is always just through sex lol, like c'mon heroine, sure he shows his love in many ways, but his attitude still annoys me a lot lol, it really is as if marriage is nothing to him and the heroine hasn't even told him that it's special to her because she'll become his wife. Honestly, he probably said it so she wouldn't feel pressured about it anymore (since she was undecided) but still.
Well, I was going to say Frank and his butler are kinda cute but dang lol, getting revenge for something that happened in middle school that was your own fault is pretty petty of Frank. I'll admit that Eisuke being up for auction and the heroine being auctioneer was pretty fun and interesting haha. Especially when she just started revealing everything about him to the crowd lol, but I guess that way she was able to show how deep her feelings were for him and how much she wanted them to be family instead of him just distancing himself from others and her. I'm so happy Eisuke finally proposed properly and said she'll be his family~~ Anyway, I'm disappointed that they didn't allude anything about Eisuke and London (aside from this Frank guy) when I think it would have been fun to see more about Eisuke's life back in the day instead of a random villain. For once, it was nice to see Eisuke's PoV to the marriage thing. So he suggested marriage to the heroine because he wanted to give her financial security just in case anything happened to him, and he wanted to do it in a way where she wouldn't be scrutinised by the public eye, and that's why he wanted her to be his wife so that everything would "look proper" to others. I guess I can see why he was so shocked and sad when she didn't immediately accept him haha. It was nice seeing Eisuke realise his mistake in saying he wanted to the marry the heroine but in the same breath say he didn't need a family, and understand that this was why the heroine was so hesitant. It was really nice to see Eisuke grow and straightforwardly ask Akira (his dad) why did he adopt him and whether he only cares about him because he has a talent for business. Seeing Eisuke face things he usually avoids because of the heroine's support and love makes me happy for him.
Okay, the DLCs (Scattered Cards onwards) on the Switch are too expensive so I'm not going to buy them right now hahaha😅 Overall, I'm not a fan of Eisuke tbh. He definitely got much better over the course of the seasons, but from the heroine's perspective alone, he is a bit frustrating lol, but at the same time, I'd say the same for the heroine for how silly she is lol so I guess they fit well. I think what I'm most disappointed in though is that the premise itself is really just the premise and nothing really "evolves" from it, because the following stories are really just the guys expanding the hotel and dealing with people trying to wreck that rather than stuff about auctions and bidding? I did enjoy Eisuke reuniting with his sister and learning more about how he views family, and then having the heroine make him realise that he does crave family warmth and other things, he just tries to hide it with his bad attitude lol. But yeah, otherwise Eisuke is not bad, just not my type lol, and the stories are rather cliche and bad at some points so yeah, I'd say the plot suffers more than his attitude does for me.

Did you know that it took me the whole day to write for her because I just can’t help but type and type? huhu habsuajwna skip the backstory if its too long for you. Sorry for the late submission!🙏✨
Name: Naomi Hitsuji
----> Naomi means "pleasantness" in Hebrew while Hitsuji means "sheep" in Japanese.
Age: 18-19
Birthday: August 26th
Height: 5'7
Weight: 132 lbs
Talent: Ultimate Police Officer
S/O: Nagito Komaeda
---> Despite being a significant other, their bond is only platonic love. Nagito told her that he never have an older sibling nor a younger sibling, he told her he would never hope of having it all since they will just be affected by his luck cycle. Knowing this fact, Naomi assured him that she will treat him like a sibling. She is always been babied by her older brother so she wanted to offer affection. The fact that he was stuck in a torturous luck cycle that stole his family made her feel like he is deprived of love and affection. Though Nagito declined the offer, Naomi told him that he deserves it. But time past by, Naomi has been more motherly and comfortable with him- she just wanted to see him with a satisfied smile in his face.
Japanese VA: Nana Mizuki (Hyuuga Hinata from Naruto)
English VA: Danielle Judovits (Sumia from Fire Emblem)
Looks:
—-> Naomi has loose and wavy beige hair that reach through the bottom of her breast. She has lavender mono-lid eyes. Her outfit is really hard to express—I am not knowledgeable with fashion so lets just leave it there isnsjwjwn 😔
Personality:
———> Experiencing a man dominated nature for quite awhile, her cheerful, childish and annoying determination shredded into a more sophisticated, formal and gracious persona. She changed to prove to her older brother that she could be an independent and firm person, that she could carry the both of them even if they are bursted by the waves of sufferings.
———> She is a woman that has strong will and broad principles. Despite being in the age of 19, she is very motherly, independent and understanding with her coleagues–but she is still strict when it is really needed. Her good communication and knowledge is what made her deserving of the title "Ultimate Police Officer".
———> She is a firm believer of hope, that hope can overcome this surge of loss and pain. She believes that hope can help her brother, hope can help the Ultimates. Which is why she believes that Nagito has good intentions, despite his eyes swirling from despair, he believes in hope.
Strengths:
———> Her choice of words. Naomi could move a person with her words. She always told her co-leagues with great assurance that they will do great and she always say that everything takes patience and understanding.
———> Her honesty and sincerity. Even though she can be blunt, she could be someone to be trusted!
———> A mother figure. She has a strong passion when it comes to people who needs guidance counseling and always there when you need a word of advice, no matter how annoying you are she could tolerate.
———> Her knowledge. She knows many things when it comes to handling heavy guns, drills, methods and fire coaching even though she is just a police officer—especially in the killing game COUgh. She really is good when it comes to strategizing and cooperation like ??? 😳
———> Her reaction time, agile and defense. (inspiration for this one is Annie Leonhart ✨)
WEAKNESSES
———> Lost of strong intimacy (such as romance). She's not capable of being open when it comes to intimacy like that. Its too out of her reach and she had been deprived from "romance" already—even her honesty have limits and she wouldn't like a topic surrounding that. Of course! she had loved but she will never admit that because it makes her uncomfortable. If someone confessed their love to her, she'll walk away with a small apology. If you ever ask for an advice related to intimacy, just so you know you'll get nothing ✨But don't worry! it just take an effort of assuring her and you'll get what you want.
———> Strength, stamina and power. She had lived for years without the proper nutrition after her family's massacre, she have to endure small amounts of food, famines and floods. The only thing that stop this weaknesses for showing is her knowledge because even without strength, stamina nor power—her knowledge is her weapon. Its not like she doesn't have it! But like its much more weaker than her strengths? Jdnjwjsns
———> Her loss of humor. KYAAA its not like she doesn't know how to get a joke! but if you ask her to tell a joke she wouldn't answer at all. Her humor suddenly walks away after her older brother's obsession in death. Like—humor isn't how she comforts someone, she'll be so awkward andddd in return you'll get her embarrassed and laughing out of it. She will somewhat tell you that she doesn't have good humor.
———> Her rage. Oh no, if you tell her to open up because it will be healthy for her—you'll also experience her anger. She will tell you that she wants to kill that scum who have the burning audacity to tell Megami to kill their family, she was so happy and contented even though they were living in a rural area and then someone comes there to steal it? For what? To have fun? Smh.
———> Meddlesome. If you catch her feels and moved her heart, you better catch this too. She is scared to lose another person even though she was just interested at you even a tiny bit so expect her to come with you even if you just want to look at the night sky and she will probably answer "Well you might get killed though" its not like she doesn't trust you but you guys are at a killing game so– free bodyguard I guess?
———> She is the type of person to put all her feelings in a jar then once it didn't fit her heavy heart—she'll burst and overflow then becomes empty afterwards. The cycle ALWAYS repeats ^^;
Family members:
Yuichi Hitsuji (Father : deceased) ,
Sara Hitsuji (Mother : deceased),
Hiroto Hitsuji (Eldest brother : ???),
Megami Hitsuji (Eldest sister : deceased),
Kenzo Hitsuji (Middle child/brother : deceased),
Nagahi Hitsuji (youngest/twins with Naomi : deceased),
Naomi Hitsuji (youngest/twins with Nagahi : alive)
Backstory (I noticed that there is someone who I almost have the same backstory so I change the siblings and the wholeass plot. It was supposed to be Naomi's twin brother but I found this out so I thought maybe— 😳 but just so you know you can skip this because its so HECKIN long)
The Hitsuji family lived in a rural area where they lived their happiness at the fullest. Even though they were almost hanging low from poverty, they were able to preserve their glee in the household. One day, when the eldest brother Hiroto Hitsuji was teaching the clueless Naomi how to plant crops on one of their lands—a sudden massacre happened inside the household. Blood spurts on the walls , the smell of blood was so strong to his nose that he feel like baffling.
The crime was so sudden and it astonished the residence when it was announced, no one was able to witness any clue or any sound that resonated from the house. Investigators visited but to no avail, there aren't hints of another suspect than the people themselves inside the household. Hiroto Hitsuji was almost suspected from the crime if it weren't for Naomi to be there with him. The case haven't been solved yet, but it was so popular to the public eye, almost as if it is an 'entertainment'—her older brother was so angry when the death of his family was made as a game waiting to be unsolved by people.
After 2 weeks or so, it was declared that Megami, the eldest sister of the Hitsujis was the one who slaughtered the ménage and to avoid getting jailed—she committed suicide along with them. Hiroto believed that it wasn't true and that Megami isn't capable of committing when she was the one who is the most contented out of the family. He believed that someone might've hypnotized or ordered her to kill though the authorities didn't pay mind to his blabbering. Poor Naomi didn't know anything of the slaughter until she turned 12.
She was so confused, Hiroto had to lie to her just so she wouldn't feel so disturbed of the sudden disappearance. She knew it didn't add up—she was trained heavily by Hiroto and the residence have been avoiding her and her brother, she could even hear whispers on her back just as she pass by. Not only that, she could always see him suffering alone as he fixed the crops on the field. It was so lonely, it was so depressing, it was so helpless in the household when only the two members have been there. It took all tears and shame for him to tell her that the others have been long gone.
Years have passed, and Naomi noticed Hiroto's immense hope. He never pay mind to rumors nor let every insult come shoot him. When he saw her so depressed and suddenly lamenting about the massacre, he will assure her with the most gentle smile he could muster. Hiroto was able to have income because lady luck gave him fortune to be able to stand up again. Naomi thought his behavior was amusing and when she opened about how laughable he is, he'll just grin at her way. Naomi adored and loved her brother from the bottom of her heart, he always stand up and always put on a smile even though he was carrying such a heavy load on his shoulders. She was so happy to be blessed with a strong man as a brother.
In years full of effort and recovering, his success didn't falter. The two was able to move on a well-known city (which is where the Hope's Peak Academy has took place). He was able to marry a woman named "Yuna Minato" whom he have met when he was selling what he has in supply. The family started with laughs and obnoxious behavior around the house. Naomi promised to do something for the family which is why she entered the police forces. Yuna and Hiroto welcomed her support with open heart, almost as if there were Naomi's parents. Naomi's new family is what she was sworn to protect and she delivered her determination and motivation to the military that she was able to rise up and get scouted by Hope's Peak Academy. She turned to a very positive, independent and determined person when she was able to engage with new Ultimates. She was so open and so capable of her job as an Ultimate.
The unbelievable blessings that happened also altered to a very horrendous nightmare, Horito and his wife Yuna who was pregnant with their 4 months child have gotten to a car accident after getting crushed by a truck who loose control. The truck driver ran away while swarms of people invaded the car. The family that Naomi have sworn to protect was hit by a wave of bad luck. To her surprise, Horito was able to survive the car accident but his wife and their child have died.
It resulted for Horito to fall in a pit full of self-loathing, he despised himself for never thinking. He thought that the only way he could give his apology with is his own life—its not like he need it anymore, its so pathetic anyways. He was placed on the mental hospital two months after the accident because he was spotted trying to die in public places, spotted by Naomi overdosing and etc. The admirable brother that Naomi rejoiced for, has finally broke and bursted from his heavy load of anger and sadness. With swirls and loops of despair, Horito cannot pass a day without crying and starving himself as he absorbed all the guilt of loosing another loved one with his reckless decisions. He told Naomi that maybe, just maybe—this was the curse of the Hitsuji family.
The hurt and fear she felt when Horito looked at her with contorted irritation and despair, when he yelled that this worthless and time wasting life shouldn't be tolerated anymore—that all he had was just false hope. She tried to maintain her composure and tell him to calm down because he is not alone, that she was still here with him. Her paranoia crept up to her as if she looked away, Horito will die the next second. Naomi can never exceed the pain if Horito died and leave her here. She wasn't able to protect the people she cared about, and thats what made her feel so drowned on doses of guilt. She bargained that this time she will carry for the two of them. Just like what Horito did when she was younger, she put a firm faith on hope. She believed that hope can stop this cycle of torture, she believe that hope can change her brother's self-loathing–it just needs some patience. She changed the childish personality of hers to a more sophisticated one, she wanted to prove him that she could carry his load.
Even though she said that, she can never resist fate. As if fate hated the Hitsujis forever, Naomi was transported to a killing game. Leaving Horito to suffer from loneliness and he secretly died after the fire on the mental hospital. He was condemned to ashes with his undying despair-filled life.
HEADCANNONS
-Naomi loves expressing her feelings on a letter, she would definitely put sticky notes on the head of her bed filled with rants and motivational poems!
-Naomi engages alot with Nagito because he reminds her of Hiroto. Like even the luck cycle is almost the same? If ever Naomi opened up about it, Nagito will prolly think that her brother has a luck cycle like him too.
-If Chiaki ever needs a gaming partner, she'll call on Naomi since she knew that she has good reaction time and really good when it comes to strategizing. Naomi will be a very great gaming partner!
-Akane will definitely challenge Naomi if she ever got reminded of Naomi's talent. But only for her to get disappointed because well—Naomi doesn't have that good of a strength at all.
-I really headcanon that Naomi and Nekomaru would be besties or like the mother and father of the group hmhmhm just a thought-
-Naomi didn't know that Horito is dead, which is why she had been believing at hope to something that would never be bound to happen.
AAAA THIs was 2467 words like emmmm, chile- anyways I am sorry its so long wjdnwjwj.
Gina: Welcome to OC fest, Naomi! My name is Gina, the Ultimate Philanthropist. This may sound a bit weird, but I never met a police officer before. But I bet it’s a super cool job. It’s so nice to know the safety of everyone here is in the hands of someone as hopeful as you!
Yukari:..............Gina, you’ve been spending WAY TOO MUCH time with the awesome Nagito
Gina: *blushes* Sorry.....but thank you for taking care of him, by the way. I appreciate it
Yukari: You ever need to awesomely vent about your unawesome trauma, we are all ears! And maybe an awesome game of chess with Oresama can cheer you up *smirks* Gotta warn you though, Oresama never lose~

Hugs
Hi guys! I’ve been following this @dbh-found-family event since the beginning, and I wanted to throw in my own contribution. I had so much fun seeing all of the art and fics. You all are so talented! This fic was a bit rushed, because I wanted it to be done before July, but here it is! <3
Final Week Prompt: Hugs!
Connor was having a hard time adjusting to being a deviant.
It wasn’t that he had a hard life. He knew that he had it a thousand times better than some of the other androids he’d heard about. Many of them had ended up homeless or unemployed after the revolution. Which, to be honest, Connor had never even thought about for himself. He hadn’t thought much about the future at all, and honestly, he didn’t have to. Hank was eager to offer up a place in his home, and the two of them fought for weeks to eventually get Connor back on the force as a detective.
On paper, everything was perfect.
But for Connor, it wasn’t.
Most of the other deviants had been your everyday workers or companions, woken up as the revolution had begun to take rise. But Connor was specifically designed to stop those types of people. The point of his programming was to solve crimes involving deviants. To act without the emotions that humans often couldn’t separate from cases. CyberLife had literally lived in his mind, watching his every move.
And now they were gone. CyberLife was gone. Amanda was gone. There was no more mission to complete.
The news had reported that he failed- no, that it failed, because even after the revolution they wouldn’t recognize him as a person. And maybe that was the cause of it.
The fact that Connor was designed to be a deviant hunter, not a deviant. That he could never escape his past, no matter how hard he tried. That he could never see himself as anything close to human.
These were the thoughts that occupied Connor’s mind at night, when he didn’t have any distractions to escape them. Now, lying on the couch, staring at the ceiling, he wished he could simply fall asleep to make everything go away. Before deviancy, entering stasis had simply allowed time to pass and for him to recharge. Now, it was…weird. He had dreams about his past. Bad dreams.
Tonight, it was either face the nightmares, or spend hours staring at the ceiling of Hank’s living room, thinking about how he wasn’t a human, how he never would be, he’d never even be close, he’d always be an “it”, and Hank didn’t see him as a son, that was ridiculous, more like a roommate, and everyone hated him for being an android, and he’d never be human, never never nevernevernever-
Connor pressed both hands to his head, gritting his teeth. His LED was red now, spinning in circles. It didn’t seem like there was a solution, so he headed to the one person who could calm him down: Hank.
It wasn’t unusual for Connor to make his way into Hank’s room at night. Usually, he would just tell Hank he wasn’t feeling well, and Hank would either go into the living room and sit with him, or, if he was too tired, roll over and make room for Connor in his bed. Hank acted like he minded, but he didn’t. It reminded him of when Cole would do the same, and so he allowed it to continue without much protest.
Tonight, however, Connor was unusually upset. Typically, he would be halfway calmed down when he made it into Hank’s room, his stress only being caused by little flare-ups in his thoughts. This time, because he couldn’t get his LED to turn back even just to yellow, he knocked on Hank’s door, eager for company.
“Come in,” the lieutenant mumbled. He’d become such a light sleeper ever since he’d had to wake up for Connor. It was like having a newborn baby: he was always up in the middle of the night.
“Hello Hank,” Connor greeted quietly. “Do you mind if I stay in here with you tonight?”
This was new, Hank thought. On most nights, Connor never requested anything and simply did whatever Hank wanted. He could tell that something was very wrong just by the way the android was standing, awkwardly attempting to hide the fiery glow of his LED.
“That’s fine. You alright, kid?” Hank asked, propping himself up into a seating position. Connor shook his head ever so slightly. “You wanna talk about it?”
“I don’t know,” he whispered, still standing, his palm cupping his temple. “I’m just having a bad night, that’s all.”
“Connor…” Hank trailed off. He wasn’t quite sure how to approach the situation. “Son, can you tell me a little bit about how you’re feeling?” He attempted to keep his tone as level as he possibly could. The last thing he wanted to do was stress Connor out even more.
“I don’t know,” Connor repeated. “The usual, I guess. I’m just a bit…insecure.” Connor had to pause to compose himself.
“Insecure about what?” Hank asked, but he suspected he already knew.
“Insecure about…” He paused. “I don’t know. It’s not relevant, Hank. I don’t want to keep you awake, anyway.” Connor started to turn to walk towards the door, but Hank climbed out of bed and grabbed his arm.
“I can’t help you if you don’t talk to me,” he said sternly. “I know usually I just let you come in here and fall asleep. But I don’t want you to have to suffer through this anymore. Let me help you, Con. Please.” The desperation in Hank’s voice caused a lump to form in Connor’s throat.
“I just want to be human,” Connor whispered as tears started to fall down his face. Hank took a breath before responding.
“For fuck’s sake, Con,” Hank said, sadness coating his words. “That’s what this is about?”
“I’m sorry. I just can’t help but to want to be more than an android. More than a deviant hunter. More than…More than a failure.”
“Kid, you already are more than those things.” Connor looked up. “You think. You talk. You act. You feel. If that doesn’t make you human, I don’t know what will.”
“But people are never gonna see me as a human,” he replied, still crying, which he hated. He felt like a toddler, but it had all been bottled up for too long that it was too hard to stop.
“Sumo does,” Hank joked, setting his hand on Connor’s shoulder. “And I do.”
“You do?” Connor asked, doubtful.
“Well yeah, I...” Hank paused. “Fuck, you make me say a lot of things I don’t wanna say, kiddo.” Connor laughed a little. He felt his tears begin to slow down.
“You don’t have to tell me anything if you don’t want to.”
“No, I do.” He took a breath. “Connor, you’re my family. I don’t see you as a robot or a piece of plastic. You’re my fuckin’ kid, whether you like it or not.”
Connor’s mouth opened ever so slightly, as if he had something to say and couldn’t figure out how to articulate it. He felt…happy? Yes. Happy. He leaned forward, wrapping his arms around Hank in a tight hug. Hank hugged him back, gently rubbing his hand on Connor’s back in an attempt to calm him down.
“Thank you, Hank,” Connor mumbled into his shoulder, feeling his stress levels start to lower. Hank smiled.
“Yeah, yeah. Don’t mention it.” Hank didn’t really see himself as a touchy person, but if all it took to help Connor feel better was a hug, he would do it in a heartbeat. And if he was being completely honest, there was a part of him enjoyed it, too.
Connor felt his LED change from a harsh red glow to a light yellow and, finally, to a soft blue. Sometimes, a hug was all he needed to feel better. It let him know that he wasn’t alone. He savored the moment, knowing that hugs from Hank didn’t come often. But when they did, it felt like the weight of the world was lifted from his shoulders.
After a moment, Hank pulled back, exhaustion causing his eyes to close ever so slightly. “I’m gonna turn in for the night. You can stay in here if you want.” He laid down in the bed, pulling the covers over him and turning towards the wall. Connor did the same, gently climbing onto the mattress and lying on his back.
“Night, Dad,” Connor said absentmindedly. It was only a split second before Connor realized what he said, and his eyes widened. He opened his mouth to apologize, but he didn’t have a chance before Hank spoke up.
“Night, son.” Connor couldn’t help but smile, relieved at Hank’s response. He felt relaxation wash over him as he prepared to enter stasis. Hank and Connor, Lieutenant and detective, father and son. Whether the blood rushing through him was blue or red didn’t matter. Hank thought he was human, and that was enough.

You have a lot to explain, Shuichi.
NOTE: Spoilers for the entirety of V3.
Y-Yeah...no kidding...
Take your time. We’re not in any rush...
Th-Thank you...
It all started when me...A normal high school student, woke up in a place called the Ultimate Academy for Gifted Juveniles. I was trapped with 15 other students, including...
A girl named Kaede Akamatsu. The person in particular that I formed a pretty special bond with.
When we tried to get a handle on the situation, our group was abruptly accompanied by a team of bear robots, known as Monokubs who exposed us to a "Flashback Light," which kind of work like neuralysers. When we woke up again, we remembered having ultimate talents. For example, I was the Ultimate Detective and Kaede was the Ultimate Pianist. But then...
Monokuma, this robot bear and the Monokubs father, arrived and informed us that the only way to escape the academy is to successfully murder another student and not be voted as the culprit at the resulting class trial. Initially, we were obviously unwilling to take part in this game, until a new rule was imposed If nobody is killed within two days, Monokuma will prematurely end the game by killing all of the students.
Makoto: Huh!? That’s insane! Isn’t that just a life or death situation?
Hajime: Wouldn’t put it past Monokuma...I mean, it’s not too different from the funhouse, right?
Shuichi: Can I continue?
Hajime: Sure.
After finding a hidden card-locked door in the academies library, I reasoned that there must have been a mastermind controlling Monokuma, and Kaede worked with me to set a trap to expose the mastermind just prior to the time limit. However...
When our trap was sprung, we headed down to the library and found the dead body of Rantaro Amami, an amnesiac who couldn’t remember his own talent by this point.
It turns out that without telling me, concerned that there wouldn’t be enough time to stop the mastermind, Kaede had secretly altered the trap to kill the person it caught. Rantaro dying wasn’t part of her plan, and during the following class trial, Kaede attempted to uncover the mastermind but failed. After encouraging me to call her out, she confessed to her crime, encouraged me to keep going and survive with everyone and...
She was...executed...
Kuripa: I...I’m so sorry...
Shuichi: Don’t worry...It’s painful to remember but...she would want me to move on...
Although I was definitely brokenhearted at Kaede's death, I soon developed a lifelong friendship with Kaito Momota, the Ultimate Astronaut, as well as Maki Harukawa, the Ultimate Assassin, who hid her true self under the guise of the Ultimate Child Caregiver before she opened up to us...I wish I could say we lived in relative harmony but...that wasn’t the case...
Several more murders took place and several more of my “friends” were executed, but I was able to solve all of the mysteries that the class trials threw at me...but that’s where “he” always came into play...
Hajime: Who’s...”he?”
One of the students alongside me in the predicament was this short boy with purple hair named Kokichi Ouma, who’s ultimate talent was apparently being the “Ultimate Supreme Leader” of a secret evil organisation that had over 10,000 members...He constantly tried to vex me and the others investigations, continuously lying and obscuring the truth from us for his own entertainment...
Hajime: Why does that sound...familiar?
Makoto: Funny, I was just about to say that...
Kuripa: Guys, let him talk.
When about only half of us remained, we found additional Flashback Lights and gradually remembered that we were students of the reopened Hope's Peak Academy, who were sent into space in the hopes of preserving humanity after meteors began to fall upon the Earth and a deadly epidemic had ravaged the remainder of the population.
Kokichi revealed to us that the ship had been hijacked and returned to earth by people who were against the project, and that the world itself had been destroyed by the meteors. He also revealed to us that he was the mastermind behind the killing game controlling Monokuma, and he proved it by summoning the Exisal robots that had been used by the Monokubs to keep us in check up until now.
Kaito tried to fight back against him, but he ended up getting kidnapped.
When this happened, me, Maki, and the other students staged a rescue mission with the aim of saving Kaito and stopping the game, but after we used hacking weapons created by one of our deceased friends, Miu Iruma, an inventor, we broke into the Exisal hangar where Kokichi was keeping Kaito...But when we broke in...
We were greeted with a corpse, crushed underneath a hydraulic press. The trial ensued and it became hard to not only figure out the culprit, but also we didn’t know the victim...
Further complicating the mystery was the sudden arrival of a massive Exisal mech during the trial, whose unseen pilot sounded like and identified himself as Kokichi but bore the idiosyncrasies of both Kokichi and Kaito. During the ensuing trial, it became clear that Kokichi was not the mastermind and only claimed as such to stop the killing game. Kokichi convinced Kaito to kill him and then pretend to be him in the hopes of creating a crime Monokuma could not solve and defeat the game. His identity exposed, Kaito emerged from the Exisal and urged us survivors to uncover the truth before being executed.
Kuripa: You mean that this Kokichi guy was able to beat Monokuma at his own game by creating a mystery so impossible that even HE couldn’t solve it!? That’s...jeez, that’s actually pretty impressive.
Hajime: An impossible mystery? Yeah, this definitely sounds familiar...
Unwilling to continue the game, my friend Keebo, using his powers as the Ultimate Robot, decided to destroy the school, which would kill the rest of us with it. He gave us until dawn to find the mastermind, or else we’d all die from the lack of oxygen on the planet. It was me, Maki, and two other people, Ultimate Magician, Himiko Yumeno, and Ultimate Cosplayer, Tsumugi Shirogane. We investigated the school and discovered evidence that contradicted our memories, as well as inconsistencies in Rantaro's crime scene. We further learnt that Rantaro was the "Ultimate Survivor", having taken part in a previous killing game. To break up Keebo and the now revived Monokubs fight, I called a final class trial to re-try Rantaro's case.
At the trial, I found the mastermind. Tsumugi Shirogane was the real villain we’d been looking for the whole time, and she was the one who killed Rantaro and framed Kaede for the crime. Tsumugi confessed and revealed, when we asked about our memories, that our memories, talents, relationships, and personalities were entirely fake, the Flashback Light was a brainwashing device and the destroyed world was nothing more than a sound stage.
All of the events that we had found out about: The tragedy, the killing game at the original Hope’s Peak Academy, the Jabberwock Island incident, the remnants of despair, the final killing game and everything else...never existed. All of it took place in a fictional world known as Danganronpa. The disgusting truth was that Danganronpa was an anime that got so popular, that it was able to become a long running franchise, and by the time our killing game rolled around, it had become so famous that real people had begun to be used as part of the killing game.
Hajime: That’s completely insane...! How many incarnations did the killing game get?
Shuichi: Our version of the killing game was...Danganronpa 53...
Kuripa: 53!? That fucked up show reached 53 seasons!? How could something that sick and twisted reach so many seasons!?
Shuichi: Because people love and enjoyed watching shows like that, and it gave us hope in even the most trying times. In fact, we were no different...
Makoto: What do you mean?
All of the “Ultimates” except for Keebo, were ordinary individuals who willingly had our the memories of our previous, normal lives permanently erased in exchange for a talent and a fake background. Many of us, including Kaede, Kaito and even myself, were revealed to have joined purely for fame, fortune, or the thrill of the game, and we were far less trusting and altruistic than our killing game selves.
Makoto: You said Keebo wasn’t the same. Why’s that?
Keebo was...part of the equipment crew, and he didn’t even realize it...
He was a walking camera for the viewers, and possessed an antenna disguised as part of his hair, that let him hear the audience's opinions on the show. They encouraged him to battle Tsumugi's despair with hope. Tsumugi offered us a choice: "hope", where she is executed but we must choose two of their own to take part in the next killing game filling the same role as Rantaro, who was a survivor of the 52nd season, or "despair", where K1-B0 will be executed and the game will continue.
Hajime: I suddenly feel really self-conscious about my hair...
Makoto: I was just about to say that...
Shuichi: Yeah, I know, right?
Kuripa: Funny how this weird hair spike seems to run in the family.
Makoto: We’re...not a family...
Hajime: That’s not important right now. What...what did you choose...
Shuichi: That’s the thing...
Realizing either choice would still continue the killing game, I encouraged the others to not vote, meaning everyone would be executed but the killing game would also end. I was able to convince Maki, Himiko and Keebo, but then due to their desperation of never letting the slaughter and despair, their own entertainment, stop, the viewers hacked Keebo and forced him to serve only as a conduit for viewer votes.
But I wasn’t about to let that happen. I took advantage of the situation and used this to make an impassioned plea directly to the viewers to get them to stop watching. At the vote, all parties abstained, including Tsumugi and Keebo. Tsumugi was willing to sacrifice herself to continue Danganronpa and Keebo had also refused, indicating the audience has given up on Danganronpa. As the remaining viewers tuned out, Tsumugi, completely and utterly defeated, told Keebo to go ahead and destroy the school. He did so, killing Tsumugi in the process, then activated his self-destruct feature and deliberately flew into the glass dome surrounding the school.
Somehow, me, Maki and Himiko were able to escape from the rubble mostly unscathed. And when we did, we noticed this huge blue portal looking thing in the sky...
When we saw it, we considered the possibility that Tsumugi was lying about our past selves willingly signing up to participate in Danganronpa, and about the original editions of Danganronpa being fiction...
And in hope’s it’s where it would lead us, we stepped through the portal and departed for the real world...
And that’s how I somehow ended up here, through that weird portal...
I...woah...

DESCRIPTIONS OF MY FAN DANGANRONPA GAME CHARACTERS!!!
Alburn Silver is the Ultimate Warrior. Hope's Peak is the first school he's ever attended! His mother was the Ultimate Seer, and had an awful vision about the future. She took him into the forest with her, living a life of seclusion. It was not until the Hope's Peak scouts found him and saw his abilities that she allowed him to return to the civilized world without her. Despite his Ultimate, he believes that almost everything can be solved nonviolently. He's confused about the world, but excited to learn. He's got a heart of gold and tries to keep everyone else calm and protected during the killing game
Allan Scorpio is the Ultimate Scientist. His mother died and his father left him at a very young age, so he was raised by the previous Ultimate Scientist, Chris White. He has a very intimidating, cold nature, but it's all on accident. Though he prefers silence, he enjoys spending time with others as well. Anyone who knows him well knows him as a big softie. He uses his intelligence to try and solve the murders alongside James and Taye.
Andrew Thompson is the Ultimate Inventor. After an accident he will never talk about, he began to cover the lower half of his face with a metal mask. It requires a code to open, along with a fingerprint scan. No one will ever be able to open it that he doesn't want to. After a life full of abuse, he believes that being mean is the only way to avoid being a victim. However, it's just an act. He cares deeply for others and uses his inventions to help improve the world and protect those he loves. He has a strong friendship with Taye seemingly immediately, and the two even finish each other's sandwiches sentences.
Avery Rose is the Ultimate King. His father is the current king of a not so distant land. However, in their country, the royal family creates a counsel where they discuss issues together. That being the case, Avery was recently able to join his father's side as a king. He cares deeply for his family, but little for anyone else. He's intimidating by nature and size alone, but he has the strength and anger to back it up. He will do anything to protect Persephone and James in the killing game, but could not care less about anyone else.
Claire White is the Ultimate Assistant. Her father was the previous Ultimate Scientist, Chris White. She's helped her father from a young age, but doesn't have the brains required to be a scientist herself. She now assists the new Ultimate Scientist, Allan Scorpio. With a near perfect memory, but a timid nature, she helps in trials by recalling evidence or keeping track of alibis, but rarely investigates or puts the pieces together herself.
Flora Murray-Richardson is the Ultimate Singer. That's about all she'll tell you about herself. No one really knows why, but she usually only speaks in short, few word sentences. The only people who get to hear her talk normally are family and close friends. However, she will sing almost anything perfectly, with a beautiful voice to match. Her mother, father, and uncle were all Ultimates as well, a tradition her and her sisters have kept up. With such a long family history, it's a lot of pressure on Flora. She seems to know more than she tells in the trials, but will often give one word clues to James to push him in the right direction.
James Greene is the Ultimate Doctor, and also your protagonist! Trained from a young age to be a future king, he has great fighting abilities. However, he prefers to help others, and studied to be a doctor all his life. With a nearly 100% diagnosis rate, and a survival rate just as high, he's in high demand. His father raised him, as his mother was an Ultimate as well, and always missing due to work. He resents her for this, but he would never admit to it. He also is sure to hide his royal nature, not wanting others to treat him differently for it. Not yet old enough to be king, James is a prince who resents the queen and hates the crown. He tries his best to keep everyone safe during the killing game, and is the main detective in the trials. Will he lead everyone to safety? Or die alongside the others. That part is up to you.
Janet Murray-Richardson is the Ultimate Fashionista. On the cover of countless magazines, she has quite a reputation as a celebrity. However, she doesn't consider herself an Ultimate. With a family full of Ultimates, she considers her own talent as worthless. This doesn't stop her though. Full of endless ambition, she is determined to prove herself as a real Ultimate. She loves her sisters dearly, but is too squeamish to do much to protect anyone else. She doesn't do much in trials, but still tries to help put the pieces together.
Lilac Murray-Richardson is the Ultimate Florist. She's sweet as can be, or is she? As the oldest of her siblings, she remembers her parents' life of crime the most. Raised by the mafia, she is stronger than she appears. She'll do anything to protect her sisters, even kill. Despite this, she sees the best in most people, and will only become hostile if she's given a reason. During trials, she mostly listens, deciding who is and isn't worthy of her trust.
Lizzy is the Ultimate Swimmer. She goes with the flow most of the time, and thinks the killing game is a prank all the way until the first victim. A sweetheart by nature, she's always willing to make friends. She's an open book, willing to talk about any and everything if given the chance. During trials, she tries to help, but usually ends up being confusing.
Lucy Bradshaw is the Ultimate Medium. She also hates everyone. Used to fending for herself, it's difficult to become her friend. She considers most people to be beneath her, and is most comfortable talking to ghosts. She has many secrets, and you'd have to be very close to her to know them. She dislikes James and Avery most of all, calling them meatheads. However, she seems to have a soft spot for Alburn. During trials, she really just yells at anyone who gets things wrong.
Patricia Vixen is the Ultimate Track Star!!! Call her Patty or she'll punch you!!! Full of endless energy, Patty is constantly sprinting. When she's angry, sad, or happy, you can find her running laps around the school. She wants to make friends, but the killing game has her scared. She trusts easily, which might not be a good thing. During trials, she just yells about things.
Persephone Rose is the Ultimate General. Too young to be queen yet, she makes a name for herself by always being willing to fight. With her strength and swordsman skills, few opponents stand a chance. She is a master of strategy, never losing a single soldier in battle. She cares deeply for her family, and little for anyone else. The only thing that keeps her from killing is the fact that she family would perish as well. During trials, she accuses others without evidence.
Rikanaro Jr. Rohan is the Ultimate Painter. A ball of sunshine, he has trust in everyone. He believes that everyone will escape alive, and holds out hope for as long as he can. During trials, he tries to encourage everyone and keep them going!
Rook Smith is the Ultimate Entomologist. He is mute, but luckily, James knows sign language. In fact, despite not knowing how they learned it, everyone seems to. He's very intelligent, and helps look for evidence. However, he's also very friendly, and chooses to see the best in people, even if they're the killer. During trials, he helps display evidence.
Taye Wilson is the Ultimate Trickster. She loves to play pranks on others. Born with disfigured eyes, she uses her visor to see. She is James's self proclaimed assistant, and helps him investigate. However, she's not the smartest, and has trouble putting the pieces together without him.
Buzzball is a sweet bear, wasp, thing. There are plenty of her all over the school. She talks like a baby and seems to not fully comprehend what she's doing.

Chapter 5 - Deadly Life
The rays of the morning sun poured in through the windows of the train car that was occupied solely by Kyoko and me. We rode side-by-side, our bodies rocking with the train, sharing a fleeting moment of peace. The snow had stopped, leaving only a dusting on the sidewalk outside. I was convinced that if we remained on the train, we could take in that scenery forever. But life was cold and cruel, as both the window and the view became obstructed as more and more people boarded.
We got off the train at our local station. It was past ten by the time we got back to my dorm building. We reached my room, and I was finally ready for a moment’s rest—
Or so I had hoped, but upon entering, a bizarre sight greeted us.
Five black papers were lined up on the most conspicuous part of the wall, each pierced by a dart. The word “CLOSED” had been written on them with a fluorescent pink highlighter. At the tip of every dart was also a Polaroid photograph, each of a different person.
“No way… Seriously?” I muttered in shock.
The papers were five of the six Duel Noirs assigned to Lico.
“‘Closed’… Does that mean case closed?”
“It appears so,” Kyoko said with her eyes wide. Even she was surprised.
“I can’t believe it! He solved five cases in one night?”
I removed one of the darts and checked the card.
Location: Otohari Island — 70 million yen Weapon: Guitar — 10 million yen Trick: Locked Room — 120 million yen Miscellaneous: Loudspeaker — 20 million yen Total Cost: 220 million yen
The attached photo was of a young man. He was in a chair with his arms tied behind his back, glaring angrily at the camera. A boy stood next to the man, holding up a peace sign with a large grin on his face.
“I’m calling him.”
I took out the phone I received from Ryuuzouji to contact Lico. The phone rang three times before he picked up.
“Hey, Lico?”
“Good morning, Yui. I stopped by your room last night, but you weren’t in. I was disappointed I didn’t get to see you.”
“You mean you snuck into my room. I don’t really care about that, but what’s with the darts in the wall?”
“I apologize for leaving holes in your wall again. It’s a habit of mine.”
“I didn’t mean that—well, that is a problem—but why?”
“Those are the Duel Noirs I solved.”
“You say that, but did you really solve all five? How? Is that even possible?”
“Of course it’s possible; in fact, I was quite dismayed that they presented no challenge whatsoever. It’s apparent these cases are designed with you in mind.”
“Tell me the truth. I know you’re talented, but don’t expect me to believe it’s possible to solve five cases in one night. Did you actually know about the Duel Noirs ahead of time?”
“I’m not lying, I had no knowledge of them at the outset. There’s nothing more boring in the world than solving a mystery with prior knowledge of the solution.”
Considering his obsession and love for mysteries, he would never choose to involve himself in a case he already knew the answer to.
So that means… he really did solve these cases worth hundreds of millions of yen in the blink of an eye.
I was once again reminded that triple-zero class detectives possessed extraordinary abilities far beyond my imagination. It was a mistake to judge Lico based on his appearance or compare him to other boys his age—he was a detective of the same caliber as Gekka Ryuuzouji.
“To spoil the fun, I’ll tell you that I captured each culprit before they could commit murder. Catching up to a criminal with a head start requires running at a pace faster than theirs, but if the criminal is stalled at the start line, all it takes is reaching out and grabbing their shoulder. That’s how I was able to solve five cases in one night.”
“What? None of that explains anything.”
“By solving a case before it occurs, you can skip the time-consuming locked rooms and impossible crimes.”
If that was what he did, he didn’t have to break a sweat…
But what sort of reasoning could possibly lead to the culprit of a crime that hadn’t been committed? Famous detectives could solve all sorts of difficult cases, but Lico seemed to possess prescient abilities bordering on the supernatural.
“To be honest, I regret solving everything before getting to discover what sorts of murder tricks would be used. I don’t feel fulfilled at all.”
“Sounds to me like there’s malicious intent behind those words.”
“That’s because there is.”
“Stop it before you ruin my image of you,” I said, feeling a little let down. “I’m not questioning your abilities or anything, but are you sure these people are the culprits?”
“Yes, all of them have confessed. They are the culprits. I wrote down some of their personal details on the backs of the photos, so it might be helpful to memorize the information in case the Committee comes to check your answers.”
“That’s thoughtful of you.”
I flipped over the photo in my hand. A description of the culprit was written with girly handwriting.
Culprit’s Name: Hironori Hari Age: 29 Birthday: December 29 Occupation: Systems Engineer Miscellaneous: Proficient singer. Sought revenge for his high school crush who was driven to suicide.
“The photos show them tied up somewhere. Where are they?”
“Ryuuzouji’s castle.”
“What? You tied up our enemies in the enemy’s castle? How is that a good idea?!”
“I have taken measures to prevent Ryuuzouji from finding out. The criminals are being monitored by the other children, but it won’t be a problem even if Ryuuzouji does find out, since we are aware of their identities. They’ll be spending the next seven days in paradise.”
“I hope nothing goes wrong…”
The criminals Lico captured were unable to exact their revenge. Once the time limit was reached, it would mark their defeat. I wasn’t sure how the Committee would judge that result, but under the rules of the game, failing to kill one’s target in the alloted time should count as a loss.
I checked the other challenge cards and photographs.
Location: Hades Aquarium — 50 million yen Weapon: Block of Ice — 3 million yen Trick: Locked Room — 100 million yen Total Cost: 153 million yen
Culprit’s Name: Kaei Kuchiki Age: 56 Birthday: February 10 Occupation: Diving Instructor Miscellaneous: Father to three girls. Sought revenge for his wife who was killed in a robbery ten years ago.
Location: Hades Aquarium — 50 million yen Weapon: Sulfuric Acid — 10 million yen Trick: Locked Room — 100 million yen Miscellaneous: Blowtorch — 5 million yen Total Cost: 165 million yen
Culprit’s Name: Otsuko Kuchiki Age: 21 Birthday: February 25 Occupation: College Student Miscellaneous: Daughter of Kaei Kuchiki. Sought revenge for her mother who was killed in a robbery ten years ago.
Location: Sawameki Nature Club Center — 30 million yen Weapon: Log — 3 million yen Trick: Locked Room — 100 million yen Miscellaneous: Parchment — 50 million yen Miscellaneous: Jewels — 200 million yen Total Cost: 383 million yen
Culprit’s Name: Tatsutora Oboro Age: 33 Birthday: April 13 Occupation: Detective, DSC Number [355] Miscellaneous: Detective specializing in international counterfeit money schemes. Sought revenge for the Oboro family in connection with its 150-year-long relationship with the Sawameki Nature Club.
Location: Ambition House — 180 million yen Weapon: Large Shears — 5 million yen Trick: Locked Room — 200 million yen Total Cost: 385 million yen
Culprit’s Name: Seika Kumano Age: 20 Birthday: July 1 Occupation: College Student Miscellaneous: Planned a closed circle getaway with seven other students. Sought revenge for a friend who died falling into an underground lake during a school camping trip in an alleged accident.
In the span of just one day, six of the twelve cases had been solved, reducing our total caseload by half. Furthermore, Lico had solved all of his cases before any murder could be committed, meaning the death toll so far was only one. Who could’ve imagined things would be proceeding so smoothly?
That being said, Kyoko and I had five cases remaining…
“By the way, Yui, do you know where I am right now?”
“Why are you quizzing me all of a sudden?” The answer came to me straight away. “Oh, I got it. You’re on a cruise ship.”
“Bingo,” Lico replied gleefully. “I’m currently in the middle of the Pacific Ocean on the S.S. Echidna. This is the last of my cases. It would be a waste to solve it immediately, so I’ll let the culprit’s game play out as planned. As we speak, I’m enjoying a game where my life is on the line.”
“Wh-What sort of game is that? Are you okay?”
He must’ve been in a situation similar to the one Kyoko and I found ourselves in at Norman’s Hotel. But Lico seemed like the kind of person who’d win at anything.
“Can I reach you anytime?”
“The game doesn’t permit the use of cell phones, but I’ll keep this one on me so feel free to call whenever you need. Now then, I should be getting back to the game.”
“Wait, Lico!”
“What is it?”
“…Don’t die.”
“You have no need to worry. I’ll be awaiting a kiss when I return.”
He hung up.
“I wonder if he’ll really be okay…” I put down the phone. “Everything seems to be going well on his end, so we should get started on our next case.”
I looked over the remaining Duel Noirs. Based on total cost, the Takeda Mansion case was the third most inexpensive. Two of the remaining cases were cheaper, while three were more expensive.
I worried about what came next.
“Let’s see… the closest location is…”
While flipping through the challenge cards, I snuck a glance at Kyoko, who was staring at the wall deep in thought.
“Kyoko, what’s wrong?”
“…Huh?” She snapped out of her haze and turned towards me. With a pale face, she shook her head back and forth.
“Do you feel sick?”
“I’m fine.”
She didn’t look fine.
“Why don’t you get some rest?” I suggested. “Stay here while I gather some information on the other cases.”
“I shouldn’t.”
“You won’t be able to recover if you continue to wear yourself out. Please, just rest for a little while. Okay?”
I pushed Kyoko onto the bed and tucked a blanket over her. She looked up at me with a troubled expression.
After I brushed a wisp of hair away from her cheek, she gave in and pulled the blanket up to her face.
“I’m sorry, Yui.”
“There’s nothing you need to apologize for. Get some rest.”
“But the time limit…”
“Don’t worry about that. Like I said earlier, we can spend 28 hours on each case. Right now, we’re five hours ahead of schedule. At least take that extra time to get some rest without worrying about anything.”
She seemed unnerved, staring straight at me with her trembling pupils, trying to find the right words to respond, but in the end, she looked away without saying anything.
I stayed by the bed, watching over her until she fell asleep. Occasionally, as if haunted by nightmares, she would toss and turn, her sleeping face visibly distressed.
What drove her to be like this? What did one of the calmest girls in the world have to fear?
She had seemed different ever since returning home from the Norman’s Hotel case. Something had likely happened at her house, something terrible enough to make her opposed to going home.
I had no idea how long Kyoko would continue to be like this. For her sake, I needed to get to the bottom of what had happened to her. If at all possible, I wanted to rescue her from her suffering.
But knowing her, she was intent on carrying the burden all by herself. She didn’t want to involve others.
An idea suddenly popped into my mind. While she was asleep, I could investigate her house. Just for a quick look. If I could find out anything about what she was going through…
As I tried standing up, I felt something pull me from behind. Kyoko had grabbed onto my clothes without me noticing. My movement caused her to open her eyes.
“Yui… Are you going somewhere…?” She asked with concern, still half-asleep. “I’m… going too…”
She started to get out of bed, but I stopped her.
“There’s something I want to look into, that’s all. I won’t be long. I’ll leave the phone with you; my number’s in it, so call me if you need anything.”
I placed Ryuuzouji’s phone into Kyoko’s hand.
Her expression didn’t change, but it clearly looked like she wanted to say something. I thought of countless possibilities of what it could be; perhaps all of them were right.
“I’ll be back soon.”
In the end, she never said anything. Only the sound of her tossing and turning reached my ears as I left the room.

The Flash Reverse AU
Not everything is “reversed”. I had to keep some things constant for lack of ideas but I still say it’s a good Au. So, let’s get started shall we?
Iris West aka the Streak. Iris is a talented journalist with ambition and a hunger to reveal the truth to readers. Her father, detective Joe West, was arrested and found guilty for the murder of his wife, a crime he did not commit. Iris always said it was the “lightning” that really killed her mother. At age 10, Iris was practically orphaned along with her younger brother, Wally, who was 6 at the time. Iris and her brother were taken in by Henry Allen and his wife, and the West siblings lived with them and their son, Barry, who became Iris’s best friend. Knowing her father was innocent, Iris from then made a promise to always uncover the truth so she became a reporter. She was struck by lightning while visiting Barry Allen at his lab in the CCPD the night the Particle Accelerator exploded. She woke up with super speed and became the Streak with her signature purple lightning trailing behind her as she ran.
Barry Allen was friends with Iris West before her mother was murdered. His parents took in Iris and her brother, and Barry was fiercely protective of them both. Barry always believed Joe was innocent, so as he grew he became determined to become a CSI and prove the innocence of Joe West. He is now the head CSI at CCPD and is good friends with many of the officers, including a detective by the name of Ralph Dibny. The night the Particle Accelerator exploded, Iris had to come visit Barry at his lab and discuss her father’s case when lightning broke through the ceiling and struck her. Barry was worried about Iris the entire time she was in her coma, but didn’t know she had gained powers. When she woke up, he was overjoyed that his best friend and love of his life (of course he still has a crush on her) was awake and fine. He didn’t know who the Streak was, but Barry did know that she was helpful to Central City.
Wally West lost his mother when he was 6, and it was always said that his father was the one who killed her. He was taken in by the Allen family with his sister, but Wally always had trouble adjusting to life with them. As he grew older, Wally showed anger and resentment towards his father for his mother’s murder. Wally didn’t believe Iris, and always told her their father was guilty. At the age of 15, Wally became fascinated with cars and decided to become an engineer. However, at 17 he got lost on the world of car racing and participate in illegal street races. After his 19th birthday, Wally moved to Keystone to go to college, and visits Central City duding his breaks.
Cisco Ramon is a brilliant bio-engineer at STAR Labs with a nerdy side to him that he doesn’t try to hide. Cisco grew up in the shadow of his older brother and wanted to prove he was more. He was recruited by Dr. Eobard Thawne (who was actually Harrison Wells in disguise) to work on the Particle Accelerator project. While there, he met a technician by the name of Cynthia who he fell in love with and eventually became engaged to. When the Particle Accelerator exploded, Cynthia died and Cisco was left alone and in pain. He closed himself off emotionally, and became cold and distant. He helps Iris while she’s the Streak, and eventually later on he discovers he has meta abilities of his own. Cisco develops a split personality called Frost Bite who has the powers to generate ice and snow. Frost Bite is harsh, cruel, and malicious, and everything Cisco isn’t. As Frost Bite, Cisco’s hair becomes a bright white, his skin paling into a soft blue and his eyes are completely white.
Caitlin Snow is the mechanical engineer at STAR Labs. Her parents worked in the field of biology but Caitlin wanted to branch away from her roots so she studied to become the mechinal engineer she is now. She was recruited by Dr. Eobard Thawne to work on the Particle Accelerator project. There, she met Cynthia and Cisco, the two people who became her best friends. Caitlin’s bubbly and friendly nature mixed well with Cisco’s eager personality, and Cynthia’s sometimes cynical mood. When the Particle Accelerator exploded and Cynthia was killed, Caitlin was there to comfort Cisco whenever he needed it despite that he closed himself off. Caitlin helped nurse Iris back to health and helped train her to become the Streak, even designing the costume Iris wears. Later, when it is discovered of Eobard’s betrayal, Caitlin is killed by Dash, the evil speedster rivaling Iris’s Streak. Iris resets the day and Caitlin doesn’t die this time, but her breach powers are activated giving her the ability to sense things happening, things that will happen, as well as open breaches for travel. From there, Caitlin becomes Portal and works alongside Iris.
Dr. Eobard Thawne/Harrison Wells was the director of STAR Labs. The true Eobard Thawne was murdered long ago by Harrison Wells, a criminal from the future. Harrison took the disguise of Eobard and created STAR Labs in hopes of Iris West becoming the Streak. Harrison’s daughter in the future was obsessed with the Streak and Harrison would do anything to help his daughter achieve her dream. When the Particle Accelerator was complete, Harrison brought his daughter from the future and introduced her as Jesse Quick (as opposed to her real name, Jesse Wells), and claimed she was his “niece”. When the Particle Accelerator exploded, Jesse got injured but gained the ability of super speed. Together, they secretly planned to take down the Streak. Eventually, however, both Harrison and Jesse were killed while attempting to travel back to their time.
Jesse Wells is the Dash. She is the opposite of Iris’s Streak. At a young age, Jesse looked up to Streak and hoped to be like her one day. However, her idolization grew to become obsession and eventually twisted into hatred after Jesse realized she could never be Streak. So, Jesse wanted to be better than Streak. Her father, Harrison Wells, travelled back in time and murdered Eobard Thawne, taking his place. Once the Particle Accelerator was complete, Harrison retrieved Jesse from the future and introduced her under the guise of Jesse Quick, Eobard’s “niece”. The Accelerator exploded, severely wounding Jesse but she developed super speed and healed quickly. From there, she planned on defeating Iris before going back to her own time. But as she and her father were about to escape, they were killed by Time Wraiths.
Ralph Dibny is a detective by day and superhero by night. When he was 10, his mother mysteriously disappeared one night, leaving him with his emotionally distant father. His mother’s disappearance haunted him so Ralph decided to become a detective. He eventually began working for the CCPD and became good friends with the lead CSI, Barry Allen, along with Iris West. He learned that Barry was helping Iris investigate her mother’s murder due to them believing her father was innocent. Ralph decided to help them, and the three began investing further. On the night of the Particle Accelerator explosion, Ralph was in Barry’s lab with Barry and Iris when Iris got struck by lightning. Both Barry and Ralph were injured, but Ralph’s injuries were more severe and he nearly died. Despite that, he continued to help investigate. Out of the group, Ralph was the first to discover Iris was the Streak, and promised to keep her secret from Barry. When Iris went back in time and created Streakspot after saving her mother from being murdered, then eventually resetting the timeline, Ralph developed his meta abilities and became Elongated Man.
Ronny Raymond is a breacher and collects inter-dimensional criminals. He’s a bounty hunter under the name of Void and stumbled across Team Streak and Caitlin while he was searching for E.A. Thawne (Earth-19). Ronny was going to arrest E.A. but decided against it last minute after Caitlin begged him not to. Fascinated by Caitlin and her abilities, Ronny would visit Earth-1 every so often, and eventually developed a relationship with Caitlin. It ended after he offered her a job as a breacher and she refused because she couldn’t leave her friends behind. Their relationship ended and Caitlin hasn’t seen Ronny since.
Eobard “Eo” Thawne (Earth-2) came to Earth-1 in an attempt to stop the Blur, an evil speedster from his world. Team Streak was very suspicious of Eo at first but eventually grew to trust him. He helped them stop the Blur and his intention was to go back to his Earth, but instead he stayed on Earth-1 a bit longer until an emergency on his world happened. Not wanting to leave them without a Thawne, he sent out an algorithm that only a Thawne would be able to solve.
E.A. Thawne (Earth-19) came to Earth-1 after his partner solved the algorithm but E.A. took the credit. He’s not as intelligent as his doppelgänger but what E.A. lacks in brains he makes up for in heart. E.A. helps Team Streak defeat Savitar, an evil speedster goddess who was supposed to murder Barry, but E.A. took Barry’s place and was killed himself.

Fatal Ties Ch. 6
Pairings: Baekhyun x You
Genre: Angst/Smut/Fluff | Mafia AU
Warnings: Mild Violence
Word Count: 4.1k
Description: Baekhyun gets his reward for behaving, and you get a surprise.
| 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | The Ending |
The day started off well. Kyungsoo took personal leave so you didn't have to worry about your fiance trying to strangle him. Baekhyun felt assured upon hearing you'd heal within the week and followed you around silently. After ogling at the interior of your club. He'd expected it to be some grungy warehouse where idiots grind mindlessly on each other to a deafening bass like rodents in heat. Instead he was met with four floors of the excessively wealthy gambling and boozing and smoking. All within the greatest of taste, of course. A bar and casino on the first floor with lush carpets and big chairs meant for the deep pockets of the city. Without all the flash and glitter of Las Vegas where they used it to cover the dirt. The second floor was a show room. It had a stage large enough for big bands to play and a small kitchen to serve food to all the tables around. There was a singer twice a week or else it stayed serving as a normal restaurant. It was all the class and elegance of the old clubs with modern convenience. The third floor was sectioned off for smoking and leisure with its own dedicated bar. There were a few billiard tables and seating areas to match. Then to the side opposite the bar were two large rooms meant for hookah. You had banned cigars and cigarettes for their awful smell and installed vents with fans. People still managed to keep the atmosphere inside cloudy, but most of the customers who use them prefer it that way. Less visibility for their shady deals. Your runners knew those rooms very well. It was the best spot to transfer your products.
When you reached the top floor Baekhyun was surprised to find a whole home. A small kitchen and a living room. Two bedrooms and an office that mimicked the one in your manor minus the bookshelves. All modern and minimalistic. He came into the office with you. Once he thought you were alone he began his questioning, and you turned on the computer. Waiting for it to boot up.
"So every time you mentioned your club you meant, like, a membership club?"
"What an astute observation."
"Then where do you make the drugs?"
"I don't make them. Even if I did you think I'd make them here? Do you think I'm an idiot? It's outsourced."
"To who?"
"If I told you that that would defeat the purpose of it being secret."
"And what's that?"
"Impunity."
"The people you have this deal with know," he argued.
"The people who know have a great reason not to disclose any information that could trace back to me."
"To live, is that right?" You smiled and put your hands in your pockets.
"He's learning," you praised.
"But I thought you were one of the city's' top mafia leaders. If you only distribute the drugs, aren't you just a middle man?"
"It's all very clever isn't it?" A new voice cut in. A man in sweatpants, hoodie and bed-head strolled in. The bleach in his hair was fading. Making it appear more sandy than blonde. He came around you and plopped in the desk chair. Smirking like he was about to say something smart. Head tilted as he spoke to Baekhyun. "The people in their warehouses cook up the drugs, we provide means of distribution while not technically having anything to do with it, scam the rich assholes, and we get all the credit. By word of mouth anyway. Legally we have no ties. After all, what could an upstanding business owner have to do with the cartel? It's like we don't even exist." He smiled. "You must be the future hubby. Name's Greased Lightning. I live here." You rolled your eyes.
"No one calls you that. What Jongdae is trying to say," you continued. "Is you don't end up owning a private club and living in a mansion with around the clock security by peddling cocaine to junkies. There's no real profit in selling drugs on the street. If there were, more people would do it. No, that was in the old days when my father started this. Blue collar crime is where the real money lies. Tax evasion, real estate. The drugs are to satisfy the fat, bored, rich cunts that visit. It's influence and credibility. My real talent is in screwing with the books of my business."
"And hiring the best hacker in the world to hide what you do," Jongdae boasted. You smirked and glanced his way. His attention snapped to you. Sitting up to be closer.
"You are very clever. I'd call you a genius, but I'm in the room." He chuckled. Gaze sliding down to your backside. Your voice called him back to the present. Having fun with your usual harmless banter. "I've already warned you once; touch me and you lose whichever hand did it."
"What if it's not my hand?" the man teased.
"Then I'll feed you your own cock."
"A dream come true, really."
"The mafia isn't all about busting heads, Baekhyun. Despite how I make it seem sometimes."
"So how do you manage all of this? It's like five businesses in one building," your intended spoke up. Jongdae turned to the computer and started working on something.
"How does your father manage all of his hotels?"
"With a system of managers like every other hotel."
"Same principal," you shrugged. "I wouldn't get any sleep otherwise." Baekhyun nodded. Brow slightly furrowed as he finished processing everything. Jongdae tapped your leg and pointed at the monitor. Security footage of a twitchy patron rubbing just under his nose. Your smile dropped with your good mood. "Isn't it early to be doing this bullshit?" you muttered with a sigh.
"What's wrong?" Baekhyun asked. Curiosity piqued.
"Someone broke the rules~" Jongdae sing-songed ominously. Laughing afterward.
"What rules?"
"Normal club etiquette," you answered. "But the one I take the most serious is using my products on these grounds. It's too risky with all the people that come here and all the ways forensics can trace shit."
"So what'll it be this time?" the hacker asked gleefully. "Disgrace? Fines? Revoking?" You glanced at the footage again. Contemplating your options.
"I was in a good mood until now...but...family?" Jongdae pulled up his member profile and scanned through.
"An estranged sister."
"Close enough. I haven't demonstrated how grievous rule breaking is in quite some time. What do you say to opening him up balls to brains and seeing what he's made of?" Jongdae snorted. Already typing up the termination of his membership.
"Probably just sewer water and a peanut for brains."
"Think you can arrange something tonight?"
"Sure thing." Your eyes caught another name on the list of members. Some son who was the only survivor in a car crash. He wasn't too well liked, but he comes every few days to gamble on the first floor. You see him a lot. He was very respectful and kind. You pointed him out over Jongdae's shoulder.
"Him too."
"What?"
"Make sure the members know they died. They'll get the message."
"But he hasn't done anything wrong."
"Oh my sweet, sweet Jongdae," you crooned. Patting his head and tussling his already messy hair. "Haven't you learned by now? A person with no motive is a person no one suspects. If your enemies don't know who you're loyal to, or what you want, they can't predict what you'll do next."
"The police will come to question you," Baekhyun realized aloud. You held back a smile. Walking toward him. "Their first instinct will tell them they're connected murders. When they hear you had no motive for the second man they won't suspect you of the rule breakers murder either." Raising a hand, you brushed a lock of hair away from his bandage and pressed the tape down flat again that had begun peeling off. Lingering on his cheek as you lowered your hand. His skin was so soft and smooth. You briefly wondered if he was just as soft everywhere else. You suspected he was. The night before when he was practically bare you didn't notice any obvious scars, and he was always so well groomed you imagined he had more products than you.
"You learn quick for a puppy." Baekhyun's warm brown eyes crinkled at the corners. "Have a seat and keep learning, pup." So he did. He sat in a chair beside you and watched you work the rest of the morning. Filling out paperwork and making phone calls to order inventory and problem solving in-house disputes with managers. Jongdae floated in and out as he worked. Quietly concentrating. Baekhyun mostly behaved. Doing his best to stay out of your way and not talk, but it wasn't long before he grew bored. You were able to placate him by playing music. He would tap his toes on tempo and stand to stretch and pace a little. Get the restless nerves out before sitting down to watch over your shoulder again. When lunch time came you were going to order food, but he begged he go down to the kitchen himself and pick it up so he didn't feel so trapped. You allowed him and ate in your office.
Once all that was done and over you called for Chanyeol and you left the club to go to the tailor. You did promise his mother you'd have matching ties for the wedding. The owner of the shop knew you well and left you to do office work while you picked out what you liked. First was choosing a type. Past the tables of vests and cumberbuns and pants, and the walls that looked as if they were made of different suit parts of all different colors, was a podium. A small circular one with three angled mirrors much taller than any human for trying on items. In the far back of the shop were private fitting rooms, but this podium would do. You directed Baekhyun on it and went to the right. There was a large display case there from your shins to a little over your head. Just next to the check-out desk. It was a 4x15 grid of ties. All different fabrics and patterns to showcase the options available for the tailor to customize.
"Bow tie or regular?" you asked over your shoulder.
"Oh, you're letting me choose?"
"It's your wedding too."
"Well I just figured since you want me out of the way that you'd...do everything...for me..." As his reply had come out of his mouth he realized how dumb it sounded. When you glanced back at him with a raised eyebrow he averted his gaze shamefully. Holding his hands behind himself so you wouldn't see how he nervously fidgeted as much.
"I'm not your mother, and you're not a child." You picked up a plain black tie in both styles and came back to him. Standing beside him so you could hold up each in the mirror for him to see. "Do you know why I showed you how my business works?"
"It's my reward for being good at the meeting last night right? I'm spending more time with you," Baekhyun answered. Watching you in the mirror instead of the tie you held to his collar.
"Partly. If something happens to me someone needs to know how to run this place. There are a few key people who have their hands in with me that know just from experience, but they'd never want to be the boss. They know, and they know when to bail. I suspect you don't. And that's a compliment. You proved you're resilient and clever, and passionate. I need someone who won't give up on this business. I've sacrificed too much for it to get torn down the second I'm gone; with Jongdae and a few others squabbling over who gets the biggest share of money then disappearing and leaving this city to rot. Since I can't make my own heirs I'll need to teach one. I don't know if you'll be a worthy successor, but there are a lot of lessons so we have to start early. Whether I trust you or not. Think of it as a test. And who knows, maybe I'll decide you're too weak and toss you out in the garbage. We'll have to see."
"Regular," Baekhyun told you resolutely. It was almost too easy to control him. Give him one tiny taste of a treat and he heels like a show dog. It would be a piece of cake keeping him in line. He might even grow into a fighting dog one day. You smiled and put away the ties. Searching for a nice cool color on a regular tie. Something solid. Patterns would be too loud; especially against your white tuxedo. The man behind you spoke up again, but quieter this time. Almost afraid. "Does this mean you'll have me...kill people?"
"If it comes to that," you answered. Nonchalant about the whole affair.
"You've...done it...a lot?" You plucked a navy swatch and a teal tie and turned around. Standing beside him.
"I've done what's necessary to protect my business and my people. Does that frighten you, pup?" You looked at his reflection while he looked at you. Thinking. Measuring. You held the options to his chest and shook your head. Too dark and too green. You put them back. Searching the display case again. You still felt his stare on you however. Maybe you were wrong about him, you sighed internally. Maybe he was too delicate after all. If he couldn't make the hard decisions then you were all fucked. He needed to understand that this job would drag him into hell and back. You picked a lighter blue tie and explained as you walked onto the podium with him. "We're all villains in this line of work. You have to be a certain breed of morally deprived to do this job." You wrapped the cloth around his neck. Tucking it under his collar then beginning to tie it. Speaking low and slow. "If I have any soul left it's black as the deepest sin. There's no redemption for all the horrors I've done. You should keep that in mind when you find you're deluding yourself into thinking you like me. I'm not a good person." Before you pulled the tie through the final loop your eyes flickered up to meet his. His expression wasn't wary or afraid like you thought though. Instead his dark brown eyes were hot on yours and you had to keep the surprise from showing on your face. The deep understanding in his gaze--the desire--strangled your heart in your chest.
"There are plenty worse than you." His voice was soft but firm. Telling you the comfort to the words was genuine. That's when you remembered his family. Since his mother married his step-dad he's had to live with monsters and demons. Submit to them. Do their bidding. From his perspective being given away to you like he was another piece of their merchandise must have been a small saving grace. This man has witnessed some of the lowest wrungs humans are capable of reaching. All while staying so soft. Of course he wasn't afraid of you. He was stronger than you might ever know. It was a matter of bringing that forward and honing it for your legacy's benefit. You licked your lips and pulled the fabric. Finishing the knot that makes a tie and tightening it to fit properly.
"I'm just using you for this contract," you shook off. Downplaying all you'd showed and told him about that day. Hand smoothing the tie. You still couldn't be sure he wasn't working for his family like he admitted to the night before. He said he couldn't be their informant. He backed that up with actions, but a man who betrays his family so easily can't be trusted. He needed to believe what you did today was unimportant. There was no need to tell his family what happened if it was unimportant. "You're nothing but a business asset that I can play with however I please in my free time."
"Then use me." Your movements slowed at hearing this. Palm halting on the center of his chest. "Use me like a toy." Suddenly you were acutely aware of how close you were to Baekhyun. Feeling your face warm at the unsaid implications. If he just put his head forward a bit he could kiss you. In another life maybe you would let him. Maybe if you weren't the boss and he wasn't their puppet you would stumble into one of the private changing rooms. Maybe you'd get lost in each other as he fucked you on the floor until you had carpet burn all down your back and stars behind your eyes. Maybe even a tiny part of you wished for that. But he didn't kiss you, and you didn't kiss him. You straightened his collar over the tie, grabbed the knot at the base of his throat, pulled him slowly close enough to see the variations in his irises, and warned him.
"It's easy to break pretty things." You saw the corner of his mouth twitch up in amusement.
"You think I'm pretty?"
"You think I'm blind?" Releasing him to create space, Baekhyun grinned warmly. You put your hands in your pockets. Admiring his final look. Your assumption was correct for color choice. Blue looked striking on him. It made his dark hair stand out more and created an almost glow to his skin. He looked like a prince charming type. Ready to drink beside you and whisper sweet nothings in your ear at your wedding reception. Ready to sell the lie that you were in love.
"I'll do it."
"Do what?"
"Anything you want. Be your heir, your pet puppy, your sham trophy husband, your spy. Hell, I'll be your damn mailman if you want me to. I just want one thing in return."
"Seems overly generous. Must be something big." He reached out and took your chin gently. Making sure you wouldn't look away.
"I'm not your enemy. I don't have hidden agendas to overthrow or kill you. This isn't a game where you find out what I want to 'defeat' me. When we're married I'll be yours...and you'll be mine."
"You'll be mine..." you pondered aloud. His fingers shifted. Ghosting up your cheek. The touch was so tender you had to hold your breath to prevent it from faltering. To stop him from seeing you were affected. That you wanted his hand to stay. "I like that." He nodded.
"And you'll be mine." You hummed and smiled. He mimicked you. A small twinkle of hope in his eyes.
"We'll see about that." Surprisingly he didn't back down, and it wasn't in a way you could've predicted. He let you go. Leaving you colder than before, but his words were promising. Threatening almost. Teasing at something darker in his character. Something that made your knees weaker.
"You will."
"So," you spoke slowly. Brain coming out from a strange fog you hadn't realized was there. Thoughts coming straighter again. "How do you like this tie?" He loosened it so you thought he was going to disagree with your choice. Instead he took it and draped it over your head. Then he turned you around to face the mirrors. Reaching around you to tighten the knot. You weren't wearing the proper shirt for a tie so he did his best. Straightening the end then resting his hands on your shoulders. Sliding down a bit to your biceps and squeezing gently. His breath on your ear.
"It'll be amazing and beautiful. Like you, boss. We'll look divine side by side. The whole world will stop for us." You were tensed. Feeling the edges of a shiver at the nape of your neck and sides. Baekhyun admired you in the mirror. The tape on his bandage peeling off his head again. You had the inexplicable urge to tilt your own and reach back to touch his face. Guide his mouth to your neck. To feel his lips on your skin. He would, if you told him to. He'd completely ravage you until you could barely speak. Unquestionably. Baekhyun would do anything you ordered him to. That was what stayed your hand and kept your neck stiff. Walking off the podium and un-doing the knot while you called for the owner. Baekhyun was too broken in, and at the moment you were still too broken. Hateful at how you were forbidden from sexual activities until you recovered from Kyungsoo's...lapse in clarity.
Once the owner came out and the matching ties were paid for you were back in the car with Chanyeol driving you home. Whatever music he had picked out humming quietly on the stereo. Baekhyun beside you in the back seat. You could tell he was thinking over something carefully. So you waited for him to come forward with it while watching the city skyscrapers disappear. Replaced with winding roads and suburban housing. Grocery stores and gas stations that had fast food places attached. Taking your regular route through construction areas that never seemed to get done and a less than nice neighborhood.
"Will you train me to fight?" There it was. You took your attention off the road where you were watching the potholes you drive by almost every day get bigger and deeper. Looking over at Baekhyun.
"What?"
"I want to prove I'm loyal to you now. So I should learn how to shoot a gun, right? And fist fighting? Like self defense?"
"You should, but I don't have the time. I'll have one of my guards train you."
"But I want to learn from you. Maybe just, like, joining you for your morning workout?"
"You mean beating you up instead of that sandbag? Your father would never sign if he saw you covered in bruises."
"I can take it," he assured. "Just don't hit anywhere visible like my face. I learn fast anyway. I doubt you'll get that many hits on me."
"You didn't look that tough last night in your underwear," you scoffed.
"I am," Baekhyun argued. "I'm the toughest of my brothers. I can prove it. Teach me."
"The toughest of your brothers but you haven't ever shot a--" You were interrupted by a concussive noise and a dull crack. Baekhyun jumped in his seat. You knew the sound of a gun and immediately became alert. Whipping your head to the side to see your window.
There was a decent crater of white on the top left side where the bulletproof window caught the impact of a bullet. Outer rings of cracks circling the main area where it hit and spread into smaller ones that stretched the whole window. Making it hard to see out of properly. Layers of glass and plastic protecting you. It was lucky. The body of the car wasn't bulletproof. You looked behind you and saw an older car pulling out onto the road from one of the driveways. Most likely stolen from the owners of the home. This wasn't any misfired street scuffle. The gunshot was their queue to engage.
"It's an ambush!" you called out to Chanyeol. Unbuckling so you could twist around, raise a knee onto the seat and pull your gun from its holster in one swift movement. Now fully facing the back.
"Shit!" Chanyeol cursed in frustration and slight panic. The car jerked as he stomped on the gas pedal. Putting distance between you and the other car as best as he could. "Hold on! I'll lose 'em!" An arm reached out from the car tailing you. Another gunshot rang in the air and you heard the metals hollow screech as it connected with the bumper. Chanyeol turned roughly to a side street, and you had to catch yourself from toppling into Baekhyun. You only had a few seconds to think of what to do before they rounded the corner with you. So you looked at Baekhyun. Delicate, soft Baekhyun whose eyes were wider than you'd ever seen staring right back at you. Lips slightly parted, chest heaving with shallow breaths. Frozen in shock.
"Put your legs on the seat and get down," you commanded. Out of the corner of your eye you saw the car turn the corner. The people in this car needed protecting. That's all you could think. Chanyeol and Baekhyun needed to stay safe. Adrenaline rising with your impatience at not being listened to. It was take action or die in these situations. There was no freezing up like a scared animal. So you shoved Baekhyun's shoulder with your free hand. Bunching the fabric with no finesse and pulling hard. Glaring at him with all the fire you could muster. "Get down or I'll put you down!"

So, I spent the most part of the last week watching The Umbrella Academy, which I loved a lot and I have a lot of feelings and thoughts about, so here is my rambling.
I will put some posts in my queue, a lot of them containing spoilers, so please blacklist The Umbrella Academy if you don’t want to get spoilered.
(Some general stuff at first, spoiler stuff under the cut)
On October 1, 1989, 43 women around the world give birth simultaneously, despite none of them showing any sign of pregnancy until labor began. Seven of the children are adopted by eccentric billionaire Sir Reginald Hargreeves, and turned into a superhero team through what he calls "The Umbrella Academy". Hargreeves gives the children numbers rather than names, but they eventually come to be known as Klaus, Luther, Diego, Allison, Ben, and Vanya. Number Five is never named. While putting six of his children to work fighting crime, Reginald keeps Vanya apart from her siblings' activities, as she seemingly has no powers of her own.
In the present day, Luther is an astronaut, Allison is a famous actress, Vanya is a violinist, Klaus is a party animal with a drug addiction, Ben is a ghost only able to converse with Klaus, and Diego has become a vigilante with a penchant for trouble. The estranged siblings learn that Reginald has died and gather for his funeral. Number Five returns from the future, revealing that a global apocalypse is imminent. Meanwhile, the reunited siblings try to uncover the secret of their dysfunctional family while beginning to come apart due to their divergent personalities and abilities.

So, one of the few times (Ok, the only time) that I actually read the comic this is based on. Because back in the old days I loved My Chemical Romance a lot (I still do), so naturally I would buy a comic written by Gerard Way (and illustrated by Gabrial Ba), and then never actually read it until Netflix released a show based on said comic. Ahem. I liked the look of the comic and the overall weirdness factor of the story, but I liked the show more, because they take more time to develop those characters (and make them more diverse in the progress).
Because it is basically a story with six main characters the plot takes some time to move on, but I didn’t actually mind that much because I loved the characters and their relationship to each other too much. They fortunately kept all of the weird ideas the comic presents. The casting is great (Ellen Page, Robert Sheehan and Aidan Gallagher who is way too talented for a 15-year-old dude). The look is great. And the soundtrack as well (lots of old songs, which I love). The show isn’t like most superhero stories, because the children are raised to become heroes, so you don’t get the typically origin story. And at its core it is about family, a highly dysfunctional family. Which I loved. Because as much as I love the concept of found family, I liked the different approach they took, the concept of family as a bunch of strangers really, who are so very different, but also united in their shared trauma and the unique way they were raised.
Some more thoughts under the cut.
SPOILERS AHEAD! DON’T READ THIS IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN THE SHOW YET!
- First of all I loved Klaus. I loved Robert Sheeran back in “Misfits” and I think the role was perfect for him. Something that irritated me was the way his siblings treated Klaus. Apart from the fact that nobody noticed he was kidnapped they constantly look down on him because he is a drug addict. They know he can’t communicate with the dead when he is on drugs, and yet it seems they fail to see that it is because of that that he started doing drugs. That the entire experience is traumatic for him. They are probably unaware of the incident where their father locked Klaus up in a Mausoleum, but still. We see a glimpse of the experience during the time Hazel and Cha Cha kidnap Klaus and he sees all the mutilated bodies of their victims. Imagine seeing this all the time (also we don’t see an obvious wound on Ben, which makes his death even more mysterious). I would love to see him use more of his advanced powers though. He was able to channel Ben to extend his own power. When Ben hit Klaus it was because Klaus was angry at himself. Ben saved Diego because Klaus wanted to save him but couldn’t reach him. He used Ben’s power in order to help his siblings etc.
- The relationship between Klaus and Ben. Of course they are stuck with each other, because Ben can’t talk to anybody else. But Ben is also very supportive of Klaus and always there for him (and Klaus can even see him when he is on drugs). And that moment in the final episode when Klaus used Ben’s powers? that was the first time the other siblings saw Ben since he passed away. I hope we see more of Ben in season 2.
- Also loved Allison. She is the most empathic character, especially in the way she reaches out to Vanya and never blames her and forgives her and tries to support her and protect her. She obviously has her own issues die to her power and it was interesting to see that she lost her power at the end, because it could really mean a new beginning for her. Also, what I found interesting is that Vanya took away Allison’s voice, but not her life as she feared. She wanted Allison to shut up, to prevent her using her powers on her (again) but she only cut her vocal chord.
- Speaking of Vanya, she really is a victim, not a villian. I can get why Sir Reginald thought her powers were too dangerous, considering she killed several of her nannies (and really he should have built Grace after the first murder and not repeat the experiment several times). But to lock her up? To surpress her emotions, causing in return depression and anxiety? To abuse Allison and her powers? To isolate her constatly from her siblings, her family? Especially the last part was in no way neccessary.
- Diego is really the one who loves his family the most. He is protective of Klaus and Grace and everyone really. His beef with Vanya is based on the book she wrote and has nothing to do with her lack of powers. He is very soft.
- Number 5. Praise again to Adain Gallagher for playing an old man trapped in the body of a boy. Loved his sass. Also 5 sees the bigger picture, so when it seems at times as though he doesn’t care it is really because they literary have bigger problems to solve. There seemed to be a connection between 5 and Vanya (he visited her first, she made sandwhiches for when he would return etc) and in the end he is the one who says they are going to save her. Also loved that nobody cared about his relationship with Dolores.
- Villians: the real villian of course is Sir Reginald, as he fucked up both his children and Harold/Leonard. And still the Umbrella kids didn’t start mudering people because they had a hard childhood (I mean Klaus becomes an assasin but for different reasons). The trope of an abused child becoming a psycho-killer is over-used.
- Looking forward to season 2. Will the Umbrella children remain actually children? At what time will they travel? What about the other children born that day? Do they all have special powers? Is this a world full of superheroes? How come Sir Reginald knew the apocalypse would happen? And why do mobile phones and computers not exist in this world?
Hope to get some answers soon.

Intro to Bite (HPfic)<pending>
A/N Im posting this here cause its not letting me send it to my friend through PM. This is just the intro of what im currently working on, and if I end up posting it ill do so on my wp account @Falling_Snow.
The event that changed everything for me had been simple and unimportant, something that I'd forgotten about a couple days after it happened. It wasn't violent or fear-inducing. There was no struggle or cry for help, and the act itself had only taken a split-second of my time when it happened. However, that one event would create a personalised hell that I'd never be able to escape no matter how hard I tried or how hard I tried to kill myself. An innocent action that spawned the blessing I considered to be the curse of Death himself.
Looking at the beetle that was the size of my closed fist, it was hard to think that the thing could ever hurt me, despite my father's strong statement that I shouldn't play with anything he brought home from his work at the Ministry. Not heeding his warnings, I had done so anyway. I was only ten, and of all the things my father brought home to work on, a beetle seemed like an innocent thing to inspect.
I'd been naive when I'd thought that the beetle was completely harmless, and when it had bitten my arm I had simply been annoyed rather than in pain or anything of the sort. I'd just put the beetle back in its cage as retaliation and gone on with my life, forgetting it had ever even happened.
There'd been no sudden fever or burst of unimaginable pain, no superpowers like the muggle comics, no evidence that anything had changed. It left no mark to my skin despite breaking the surface, and my child-self was content with putting a plaster over it and forgetting the whole thing.
I grew up.
I finished my magical education at Durmstrang and made lots of friends before my family decided it was best to move to Muggle London for my father's job at the Department of Mysteries. I met a muggle girl there named Kristen and pretty soon I found myself telling her about the magic world, asking her to marry me only a few days later when she accepted me wholeheartedly.
I became an Auror at the Ministry of Magic and after finding a natural talent for the detective work behind Magical crime I was promoted to Detective, and soon after that, Head Detective. All the while, Kristen cared for our two children, Rosealine May Skokvist and William Quinn Skokvist, one of muggle blood and one of wizard blood, both loved dearly despite their differences.
I solved crimes at the Ministry and watched my children grow into kind and talented adults. I walked my daughter down the aisle when she married a muggle tailor in London, and I was there when my son became a Potions Master and received his certification at the Ministry. I was infinitely proud of them both and cried when I held my grandson for the first time in a muggle hospital room.
However, it wasn't long after that I returned to that same hospital with Kristen, where a doctor told us she was very sick and wouldn't last for much longer.
I took her to every Healer at St. Mungos I could, but they could do nothing for her. I was holding her hand firmly in my grasp when she passed, becoming numb to my surroundings as the funeral was planned by my son and daughter, both of which who constantly were at my side through everything.
I buried myself in my work then, choosing to be productive rather than wallow in my sorrow. Kristen wouldn't have wanted me to stop my life just because she was gone and I was determined to live the best life I could for her until I could see her again in the afterlife.
Yet, I became reckless and flippant with my life after that, taking on more dangerous cases that my coworkers advised me not to pursue. Which is how I ended up in a duel in an alleyway in Manchester, swapping spells with a much younger and stronger wizard than myself. No matter how much I trained to become an Auror, there was still nothing I could do when I saw a green spell flying towards me in what felt like slow motion.
I thought of my kids and how they were going to take the news of my death. I thought of my 6-year-old grandson whose birthday was coming up in 3 months. I thought of Kristen holding my hand that night she left. I thought of all the things I'd never gotten to do and the people I'd never made amends with. I thought of how incomplete I was leaving things.
But that killing curse never hit me.
Instead, time itself seemed to stop completely and I was left staring at the curse that was inches from my chest.
Then, slowly, time resumed, but it didn't resume forwards. As images flashed in front of my face at a speed that I couldn't even register, I began to realise that this was it, this was what death was like.
This was my life flashing before my eyes, and soon there'd be a white light that would lead to the afterlife or maybe even just a void of nothing, whatever was there I was about to find out.
The white light came soon enough, exactly as how it was described in books and muggle films, blinding me to a point where I had to blink a few times to adjust my eyes. But when I opened my eyes and registered the image I was seeing, I couldn't quite comprehend what was in front of me. It seemed completely impossible.
I was on the back porch of my childhood home in Sweden, with a light summer breeze gently brushing my semi-long hair away from my face in a way that baffled me even further. I hadn't had my hair this long since I was a child, and with my current surroundings, I wasn't sure what to expect next.
Was this the afterlife?
As I took in my surroundings once more and registered what was in front of me, I felt my breath catch in my throat, because there, on my hand, it's tiny little fangs having just left my skin, was that beetle that had bitten me so many years ago.
The golden pattern on it's back shimmered in the sunlight of the early afternoon, exactly the way I remembered it to when I'd been a kid.
I sat there for a moment, not noticing or caring as the beetle scuttled off beneath the old boards of the porch, leaving me in stunned silence.
Here I was, a ten-year-old boy again and there were no signs of Death lurking around the corner, come to take me to the afterlife I was supposed to be at right now. Was this really the afterlife? Was I dead? It all felt real, and as my mother called me to come inside for lunch I wasn't sure what my next step should be.
The beetle I'd been bitten by was a scarabaeus tempus, a beetle used in the creation of time turners once they were crushed up, and a beetle I knew shouldn't have done anything to me with a bite. I'd heard my father talk about the beetles countless times for his work, and never once had he mentioned the possibility of what I was currently experiencing; albeit, nobody would know until it came to their death. But even then-- I should have died, there should've been-- Why was I here? Why--? None of this made any sense.
I looked down at the small barely visible mark that the beetle had caused, the wound hardly bleeding at all and easily explained as a simple bug bite once I'd wiped away the blood. I knew I still had to be in some form of shock, wondering if this was Death's idea of a joke, and if it was then I wanted him to know I didn't find it funny.
Somehow, I was stuck in a giant time loop.
I'd lost my life, my kids were gone, my job was probably still occupied by that bigot Riley Morris who had it before me, and there was the possibility that even if I killed myself right now I'd just return right back to the moment after I'd been bitten by that beetle.
After a few minutes of truly processing this, I realised I was crying, and even when I noticed it I didn't stop. I had just lost and gained my entire world, and now I didn't know what to do with it.
It was all gone.
My life had completely been swept clean and given back to me anew.
My parents were alive here, my wife was out there somewhere, and I was easily the most skilled Detective the Ministry had ever had and it would be easy to retake my position.
But did I want to?
Kristen wouldn't know who I was, I'd already solved every case that would now be presented to me, and the children I might have with Kristen in this life might be completely different than Rosaline and William. Could I live with myself, knowing that I knew everything about them and they knew nothing of me? If I went to go find my wife 10 years from now would she call me a stalker for knowing so much?
What was I supposed to do now?
Did I continue living what I had before all over again, or did I live something else?
I hadn't even gotten my Durmstrang letter yet, and I wasn't even entirely sure I wanted to receive it after already knowing so much magic. I'd be light years ahead of any first-year student.
My second run through the loop, I disappeared.
Using ageing potions to make myself appear older than I was, I immigrated to France, working small jobs and reading up on anything and everything to do with time magic. Eventually, I became well-known in my field under a pen name where I published much of my research, still not coming close to the reason why I was here.
I still mourned the children that were never born in this time loop, but I stayed away from Kristen, only ever finding her a year before I knew her cancer would grow worse and giving her a letter stripped of anything that authorities could trace back to me. I knew I wouldn't have the strength to face her myself. After all, in a life where she never met me, she already had another at her side when I set the letter on her doorstep.
At first, it hurt to know that the Kristen of this time had someone else, but I had to remind myself that this wouldn't be my Kristen, and she never would be. It was lonely, but I spent that time doing things I'd always wanted to do instead of wallowing in self-pity for myself.
I invested in muggle products I knew would get big in the future thanks to my knowledge of it and spent a lot of my time in muggle casinos and fancy hotels, not ever truly enjoying the cash when I knew all it took was one trip down the stairs to take it away and set me back to where I was on that porch. Yet, there was still that conflicted hopefulness in whether or not I'd die or not.
As the years dragged on and my 77th birthday passed by without a killing curse aimed at my chest, I began to seek more purpose, investing myself to politics and working my way through position after position until I was elected into being France's Minister of Magic at 79.
I carried the position with pride and found real purpose in it, doing everything in my power to bring the French magical community times of peace and valuable change for the better. I tore down prejudiced laws and allowed my people more freedom, doing my best to form a personal connection with those who I led.
However, I retired soon after my 90th birthday, spending the rest of my life in a forest cottage in the French hills, taking up a hobby for woodcraft and constructing furniture before I "died" at 128, my body going through the reversal process again as my second life in the time loop flashed before my eyes.
Once again I was on that back porch.
The third life I knew what I was doing and didn't waste time. I went directly to my father and told him what had happened to me, forcing him to understand just how dire this situation was, and he listened, even though his ten-year-old son seemed to have just lost his mind.
We worked day and night on trying to understand what was wrong with me, the prior knowledge I had from my second run through the loop still cemented in my brain even though I hadn't been able to take it with me. I didn't have any of my notes or research, but I still had enough new information for my father to patch together things in his own research at the Department of Mysteries.
But no answer made itself known.
I began to study genetic magic, making groundbreaking discoveries at the age of 14 that I kept to myself to avoid major outrage. The Muggles were close enough to making designer babies, I didn't need witches and wizards getting their hands on the same ideas.
The only answers I could find in my new field of study led to more and more questions, seeing as whatever the beetle had done to me must've changed not my magic, but the codons of my DNA in a way that I wasn't even sure was fixable.
I experimented on mice, and other creatures before trying to remove the gene from my body and was met with excruciating pain that felt like how I'd imagine a crucio felt, my hearting feeling as though it stopped in my chest.
And then time reversed itself and I was opening my eyes to the view from my back porch, the distant lake and trees of the Swedish landscape greeting me back from my 4-year trip.
I tried again.
And again.
And again.
I tried so many times I lost count, restarting over and over again until I eventually threw a bombarda directly beneath my feet, effectively blowing everything up for about half a second before I was once again reversed in the loop, staring at the beetle there with frustrated tears in my eyes.
It was difficult, and I spent a long time lying on that porch trying to accept the situation I was in, but I told myself I was okay with this, and that I could make this a gift.
It was only a curse if I let it be.
Life after life I kept pushing through, knowing I'd only end up back on the back porch if I gave up, and I was really starting to hate that place despite its beautiful scenery.
I avoided those I met in past lives.
I set goals for myself at the beginning of each life.
I experimented in blood magic and made myself a time-free home inside a trunk, similar to that of Newt Scamander's briefcase. Although, mine was a bit bigger.
I ruled countries, magic and muggle.
I raced cars on Japan's mountain roads.
I owned all of Canada at one point.
I invented an unimaginable amount of useless kitchen tools.
I invented spells people couldn't even dream of.
I trained dragons in Romania.
But I still couldn't escape.
However, the 12th loop through time I found myself attending a magic school in Africa as a transfer student, revelling in the home away from home feeling that these old buildings seemed to give off. I became the Headmaster by 43 and started my new quest of wanting to be the Headmaster of every magic school, with my eyes set on Hogwarts the next time the time loop reversed itself and deposited me on the back porch once more.
Little did I know that the 13th loop in time was where my story would truly begin anew.
