How do you think Spencer would react to reader feeling insecure or intimidated because they don't think they're smart enough. Maybe the reader could be a designer or artist?

Spencer would be an absolute hype man.

It doesn't matter how smart you think (or don't think) you are, he always tells you that you are the most intelligent person.

He will tell you that intelligence comes in many forms.

He could never do the things that you do as well as you, and that makes you smart

If he hears you being mean to yourself, he puts a stop to that immediately

In a soft way though because I can't imagine Spencer being too harsh about that.

"Baby, of course you are smart. You can't be saying those things about my favorite person."

Just absolutely in love with you and can't see you as anything but the most amazing version of yourself that you are 24/7

Omg please please please a fic abt Spencer absentmindedly playing with reader’s hair. Idk like I imagine them with her head in his lap and she’s like half asleep and he’s reading or something omg

I’m gonna do this head-canon style cause that’s all I have the energy for right now.

You two are just laying on the couch watching a movie

Your head is in his lap

Normally he has something else he is reading or fidgeting with, but he is really interested in this movie. 

But you are getting really tired

Just as you start to drift off to sleep, he starts brushing through your hair with his fingers

He reaches over to the remote to pause the movie and pick up a book

He knows how much you love this movie and he doesn��t want you to miss a single second of it. 

One hand holding his book, the other tangled in your hair, moving slowly through. 

A few hours later when you finally wake up, your hair is super messy and you look up to him with a smile

“Sorry,” he says with a smile, I didn’t want to move to get your brush and accidentally wake you up, but your hair is so fun to play with.”

All you can do is giggle and lay back down. 

You say, “Maybe we can get you a brush that can sit on the side table for these moments in the future.”

I know it’s short, but its what I can write at the moment. Sorry this took so long, I’ve been super busy.

I was looking back through my posts and saw this gem. Little did September Alli know that in a few short months they would be questioning their gender and this was the start of it.

derek is the best profiler on the core team and i am SICK of people not admitting that just because the skinny twink is smart. being smart does not equal being able to tap into someone's psychology and mind. yes, spencer is smart, but he is not that great of a profiler. i will die on this hill, thank u and goodNIGHT.

Spencerspecializes in cyphers, geographic profiling, and statistics, and he’s great at all that, but Derek is better at actually profiling (especially at crime scenes) than like. The rest of them combined unfortunately

today is bi visibility day and with that:

bisexual includes ALL genders and does not mean only “two” genders

some bi people have a preference, others do not

bisexuality isn’t a defined thing and is different for every bisexual person

being bi isn’t being “half-straight” and “half-gay”

it’s bisexual not bi-sexual

learn bi history and do not erase it and be biphobic

in the past i have questioned myself and my bisexuality and felt almost like i was lying to myself when i realized i didn’t have a preference and didn’t include someone’s gender into my attraction of them because of rhetoric of bisexuals having a preference or the “bi means two” bullshit.

but i am still very much bi even if i don’t have a preference for my attraction and is attracted to people regardless of gender. there’s nothing wrong with having a preference and there’s nothing wrong with not having one. it doesn’t make you any less bi.

and i wished i understood that more and didn’t spread more misinformation in the past about bisexuality that is harmful to my own community. learn and listen to bi voices about their own community. learn about our history, do not erase bi voices about bisexuality and the hardship of the past and how it leaks into the present and maybe even future.

All I can imagine is Spencer reading the directions to any appliance anytime something breaks and then he just asks Derek to do it. Because as much as Spencer understands what to do, he just cannot practically do it.

When something malfunctions in Spencer and Derek's house they always argue about who should fix it.

'C'mon Spencer you have 3 Phds, one of them is engineering. Don't tell me you don't know what's wrong with the washing machine.'

'Sorry, do I look like a washing machine expert? Last time I checked you were the one gloating at the office about being a handyman. You fix things all the time.'

i love dr reids character mostly because he has every predisposition to be the Cold Asshole Genius With Troubled Past that everyone hates but puts up with because they have to but. he's just. nice to a fault and the kindest person on the team and he believes in soulmates and inherent goodness of people and time-defying love and gets attached to victims and unsubs alike and cries for ten weeks when his friend dies. instead of makin him a downtrodding nihilist they wrote him as this goofy guy thats got the biggest heart and also happens to be a genius alongside it and i absolutely adore every second of it
