Toad, origami, one square sheet of paper
#mine#origami#toad#frog#original model is by Nick Robinson pretty chill model! I modified the legs a bit#if you recognize this paper good eye#I had a leftover square that was only usable on one side from when I prepare the paper for my oyster#this gold and green coloring was for the exterior :)#you can see a teensy bit of the failed mother of pearl side on the inside of the front legs#really lovely volumes on this one and the thick goopy texture for the oyster actually collaborated beautifully#also again check out that back crimp UGH

Why are lizards and salamanders so similar in shape?
That’s just what peak performance looks like

sweaters of 2024 so far !! a creamy white ribbed cardigan w pearl buttons for my loveeee, a mottled seaglass green turtleneck for myself, and a THICK woolen midnight blue cable sweater w little starry speckles
#rly rly rly proud of them :)#i’ve made lots of other little things too!!#rust fingerless gloves and white leg warmers and socks the color of sweet peas and the forest#and and and little cotton washcloths covered w music notes for my cousin’s baby#but my sweaters r my pride n joy :))#i also started 2 other sweaters i ended up unraveling. i basically completed one w the dark blue yarn and then frogged it to make a new one#and i started a striped sweater to get rid of some of my stash of acrylic yarns but im just not that excited abt it#so it’s collecting dust in the cabinet#OH and a spring green scarf bandana triangle thing w ribbing for my gf too#i’ve been busy this year#personal#knitting

#redrew yesterdays frog from memory#amphibian#frog#epipedobates tricolor#amphibidextrous#it's interesting which parts i remembered more or less accuirately#like the overall angles of the back leg. and the bend of the arms#also the fingers/toes. in the referenced and traced art they have a more constant width while here they are wider at the base#which is probably an anatomy issue i have been having for forever but it took this comparison to notice WHY my toes never look quite right
