I follow someone on IG who made their own drawing prompts list for October (very original idea wow 10/10).

Anyway it was all witch-themed. Make a witch inspired by the word. Etc.

The prompt for day 5 was Frog.

Wow, I thought to myself. Frogs. What a cool idea! I'll make a little frog meditating with some incense and wearing a little witchy cape!

I spend a while~ researching frog anatomy and such.

I see the artist has uploaded their Day 5/Frog submission and...

... it's literally just a girl with a frog???

Anyway I ploughed bravely ahead because frog erasure is Not Cool.

I may have also made him a saint/angel/Profound Being of Your Choice

｡⋆·₊˚⋆·₊˚Moonbeam Moss-Tongue the Whimsical Wizard Frog!!! ˚₊·⋆˚₊·⋆｡(Of course his name has to be a bit silly and famboyant, he’s a wizard after all <|:-])

When I got the sparkly green fabric, I knew this was exactly what I wanted to make. I used a scrap of moss-textured fabric for the tongue and black felt for the hat. I hand-embroidered the moon and stars with light grey thread, then added some emerald green moon and star-shaped gems along the rim. 

I’ve got a couple of the moon gems left, so I’ll probably use them later to make his staff, once I find the perfect stick.·₊˚☽ O ☾˚₊·.

I’m super happy with how he turned out! I’ve always loved wizards and their exaggerated, chaotic, magical style, so I’m glad to now have a wizard-themed froggy added to my collection.·₊˚<|:^D.·₊˚₊·.<|:3 ˚₊·.

This is the last of the Froggy fall pictures, and the theme is spooky season. I really love how the little waltz turned out, it was fun making the beetle part of the spotlight, given his cameos in the previous pictures. I enjoyed this little trio, so perhaps I’ll draw them more in the future!

It was a challenge doing a spooky feeling colour scheme, and also making it look dark enough for a torch, without actually making it dark. I managed to include all of the daily prompts on this one, feeling happy about that!
