most girls loved chocolate & the proud rei was no different, despite her claims otherwise. wealthy preferences readily apparent as her interest was piqued at the sight of the rare chocolates, in a fancy box & nice ribbon. wait — this was strange. it wasn't white day. nor did she even give out any chocolates. & here was gentaro-san, giving them to her without an inkling of concern or nervousness. well, this was unprecedented. she took the box slowly, holding it close ( fighting the urge to open it in front of him & taste each & every morsel ) ... ❝ thank you ... very much. you really didn't have to do this, you know?❞

she'd always be suspicious of ulterior motives but for now, rei would accept this graciously.

Right, the day was supposed to start with her meeting the others, but everything turned over due to that guy showing up. Suletta let out a small chuckle when he spoke to Aerial, saying to make sure she was safe.

"Aerial will protect me, and I'll protect her for sure." Though she soon focused on the memory stick he gave her, Suletta giving him a nod.

"Ah, th-thank you! I'll definitely look it over!"

If she could learn to get better, especially given the new threats around here, she would take it with appreciation.

"You have a great day too! Thank you so much for everything today!"

"Next time we meet, I'll keep my promise and we can get you to meet those other pilots." Gentaro takes them back to the hangar. "And if any of your friends want to come along, I'll be happy to have the company." He points up at Aerial. "Keep her safe. Don't let anyone who talks about 'Unleashing darkness' get within ten feet of her, ok?" He's about to leave but turns for one last thing. "Oh, I've got this for you, Suletta." He hands her a memory stick. "This thing has fight footage from some of my friends and allies who pilot mecha. Maybe you can study it and get even better than you already are. Have a good day, Suletta!"

She raised a brow, tilting her head. She wasn't used to anyone besides the Illusive Man dressing in such suits. But then again, she was surrounded by military men whose fancy dress meant a lot of flashy medals on rather boring blue jackets.

"I didn't know you were a teacher like Jack," she blurted before she could help herself. She looked over his shoulder at the Normandy. "Can always use more people on the battlefield," she admitted, turning her gaze back to him.

Gentaro brings out a map. “So, the main temple is about two miles southeast of here. You’re going to want to talk to Miki Masaki, or Gou Fukami when you get there, depending on which gender you’re in at the time.” Gentaro smiles, trying to imagine what Ranma’s spirit animal will be. “It’s about five minutes of meditation and guided exercise with them. Once you complete the exercises, you’ll project your spirit animal out and then they can tell you how to train it up. Obviously, someone with a Rhino spirit is going to train in different ways from someone with a Cheetah spirit.”

Gentaro quickly folds the map back down. “If you want to go, I’ll go with you. It’s been a while since I had my assessment, so I wonder if they’ve had time to set up courses for it.”

“Huh that so..” Ranma at this point did pull out a note pad and wrote the name down so in case he would forget it. “Hmm...yeah that so..all right damn yeah I wouldn’t mind you leading me to this place.”

“I just hope my spirit as a whole ain’t too messed up cause I got so many curses in this body of mine I ain’t even sure whats an actual curse and what is just in my head.” Nodding some.

"Hey, Ranma. Have you ever gone in for a Jyuken Spirit assessment?" Gentaro asks. "Basically, they can tell you what your animal spirit would be and whether or not you'd be a good fit for training in the Gekijyuken school of martial arts. That might be a good way to set yourself apart from your past with your family."

"Huh..gotta say gen I ain't ever heard of them before so the answer would be no on that." He tilted his head a bit. "Been so many places when I was traveling with my old man but he usually avoided any places that involved stuff like that if he couldn't steal from it."

"Well show me where this place is at an I mma do it a good first step it will be."

“Hello, I am Shinya Kazama, newest hire here.”

Shinya offers a sheepish smile. How embarrassing, he’d spent the entire day setting up his new office, in preparation for the upcoming classes that he’d ignored meeting the others of the faculty. “Apologies for failing to introduce myself earlier, misjudged the time it took to get from my apartment to here.” 

With that, he offers a hand for the man to shake.

Although Atieno often found themself feeling strange.. and weird around certain kinds of 'heroic' personalities, Gentaro wasn't exactly one of them.

So when they had the chance to visit him, to see him in the midst of his own land, his own environment - they were actually glad for the chance to just be around him.

"It's been pretty nice to see you again. I know you've had to be busy with all the activity that you've been involved with..."

"I wonder, is there some special word for the feeling that you're being watched by a werewolf?" Gentaro says. "I know you're here somewhere. Come on out!"

"Now that's no fun Gentaro, it ruins the surprise of giving you a gift." Saya said hopping down from the tree she was in. "So how were you able to get the feeling I was there?"

well.  if he didn’t get bitten and started running with the villain zombies (speaking of doom lost his face mask and still managed to keep what was left of his face hidden by a hood he’s so dramatically stupid), who were...to some degree, running with the heroes zombies...probably not super long unless he managed to make peace with what was left of the x-men and new wakanda after.  like galactus lasted maybe fifteen minutes, someone like unus doesn’t have a prayer.

This really ended up being quite a day, and even if she knew she did a lot, it also felt like she only scratched the surface of this place. Suletta was curious about everything, and wanted to indulge in everything, but had to keep in mind that there's no way she could do everything in one day.

She probably would have tried though if she didn't know any better. It would all be here for her, no matter what time of day. When he gave her his card, she carefully took it, looking back up at him and nodding.

"Y-Yes, thank you so much. And you're right, we're f-friends!" And making new friends always was a plus.

"I'll also make sure to d-do my best to help whenever possible! Everyone here is so nice, and I'd like to help keep everyone safe too, including you. So, thank you, r-really. For everything."

She'd have to make it up to them all somehow.

He brings her back to I-Net, keeping an eye on the streets so they don't get caught up in another event. She seems like she's been through a lot, and Gentaro just wants to make sure this young woman is safe. "Let me give you a few ways to contact me. If you ever run into trouble, or see something around here that confuses you, give me a call. I'll be happy to help you out, Suletta. After all, we're friends now." Gentaro holds the door for her with one hand and offers her a card with the other.
