 Y’know, I was thinking about like, before the Justice League forms in this au. 

Just slowly rotating Bruce meeting Clark and Diana before they start the league, maybe even help each other out. Need another heavy hitter? Time to call in Clark! Someone mind controls Superman again? Time to call Diana! Need information about some sort of artifact? Diana is there! Want weirdly specific information that no one should know or to get into a place they can’t? Time to call in Bruce! Need a distraction? Boy does Bruce have you covered! Need diplomacy because this alien AI is pissed? Diana pulls on her training as a princess, warrior or not. Need to seem harmless- why, there’s a sunshine alien sweetheart with the same vibes as an overgrown puppy ready to help! 

Honestly it’s a surprise no one has realized they know each other yet, but then again Bruce really embodies being a cryptid and just doesn’t sit still for any potential photos. Sure there are some with Wonder Woman and Superman visible with him hidden in the shadows, but no one outside of Gotham really knows about him. Like I am imagining their friendship being both “two extroverts adopt this introvert” and “we’re coaxing this stray cat with its dozen of kittens over no matter what”

augh because I’m Australian and fucking stupid which is already a killer combo and then you come at me at American dates which, due to the amerification of at least where I live (for some context, during your elections often teachers do bi-daily updates on how it’s going and only mention our PM once he’s already in)

Okay so due to the fucking amerification of everything it means that I am Apparently Meant To Know What and When Thanksgiving Is or, more damningly, until 2 months earlier I did not realise at all that it was September the 11th not November the 9th. My whole life. I’ve done fucking history lessons on this American shit and it’s very confusing also because a lot of sources are written in mm/dd. I need you to understand just how pervasive and strong of an influence that America can have over here like when you had the abprtion ban, after the general “holy shit” and the “how will this impact the human rights stuff” a lot of people immediately went shit our government is gonna do the exact same now

Alongside that a lot of online sources are American and I don’t realise and then get important dates wrong and have to correct my presentation to not say 7th of may and instead 5th of July which is frustrating

Like I get it, it’s an increasing level of size, the day is less than the month is less than the year. And if you’re being particularly fancy like on a wedding invitation, you might say “on the twenty-second of November, two thousand and twenty-two” or w/e, but like.

I have not run into a single english-speaking nation who majority defaults to “22nd november” over “november 22nd” when they’re actually SPEAKING.

So why the heck are you guys so hostile over us in the US writing our dates in the same way that we SAY THEM OUT LOUD???

I’m doing my own take on other personality types cos the ones I’ve seen are by analysts and I’m a diplomat

ENTP- ya’ll actually scare me sometimes but u speak your mind about… everything and your confidence is smth I look up to.

ENTJ- ya’ll are quite intelligent and know what to say in a conversation.

INTP- I love ya’ll. You have very big brain power with a very well balanced goofy brain power. Your actually very insightful and your actually very funny.

INTJ- you seem very intelligent and knowledgeable. And very well structured in your study and daily life.

ENFP- every single ENFP I’ve met is so friendly and a lil cinnamon roll. And even if they/you don’t know if their an enfp… you can just tell. But low key u guys DO kinda scare me too cos u can fuse into an infp or an entp in a matter of seconds (it’s okay… you can be an infp any time you like). Just like entp your confidence and vibrancy and joy is smth I look up to.

ENFJ- ya’ll are so heroic… well duh your the protagonist styled peeps. Classic diplomat with feelings and motivation to do what’s right for themselves and others.

INFP- this is my type and I’m not gonna be biased. We’re so bloody weird. All I gotta say. U gotta catch us on a good day and we’ll be involved in everything. Catch us on a bad day and you’ll probs feel a weird vibe. We’re either too much or too little. (P.s soo many ppl have told me they love infp’s and I wanna ask why? ESTP- wild lil animals (idk what else soz)

ESFP- big fun friendly party animals that make me feel free like I shouldn’t have a care in the world. Your very bright and bubbly people that see the world in a different exciting light.

ISTP- ya’ll make me feel so grounded and chill and take a few steps back. “No big deal” vibes

ISFP- also very much like INFP. You have passions and are very dedicated but also very emotional

ESTJ- even tho your the complete opposite to me, ya’ll actually aren’t so bad. Your very loud and proud and I think big on perfection.

ESFJ- a big teddy bear. Similar vibes to ENFJ I think and wants to be there for everyone

ISTJ- very structured and observant (also I think big on perfection)

but I'd like a term for a person or group you've made an agreement with to each support and enable the other to vote. A source of mutual encouraging reminders (and maybe mild guilt about not meeting an expectation)

omg chat why is writing kinda hard???

ok so this is a bit of an aside (warning: this post is long) but @348kg and i talked about this and honestly writing fanfics is a way for us to express ourselves creatively while using our idols as inspo for our work. and it’s fun most of the time.. but like honestly, 70-80% of the time, writing is hard. it’s not easy, like… it’s actually quite hard work.

and i know everyone has seen posts of like “pls reblog instead of just silently reading” or “pls like at least to show your appreciation” etc etc etc and ur probs sick of hearing it but like, it’s so true???

writing is honestly hard. and for most of us fanfic writers.. im sure you know but we have lives outside of our blogs. we are students, or we work normal jobs, we have life responsibilities, we have problems to deal with, and yet somewhere in between our busy lives we manage to find the time to sit down and create these pieces of writing for you, the reader, to read.

and tbh, i don’t really know where im going with this? i just want to let you know this: a typical 1-2k words one-shot probably takes me around 2-3 hours to write (on average, on a good day - sometimes longer or shorter). but it takes you maybe 10-15 mins, at most 30 mins to read depending on your reading speed. isn’t the time gap a little wild 🫠 on a typical work day, i get home from work at about 6, i cook myself dinner and eat, i shower and clean up, and if i know im writing that night, i make sure to clear my schedule (ie no overtime, no phone calls to friends or parents etc) and i sit on my laptop and write from about 10ish to about midnight. then i pause and i edit, and set things up to get ready post (think: pictures, title, word count, writing the warnings, summary, doing the tags) and by the time i post, it’s probably 1am.

i breathe a sigh of relief because it feels good! it feels really good to release my labour of love (literally) out into the world. and honestly, you know who you are, but those of you who constantly read and reblog my work, i see u!! (Alexa play i see u by p1harmony) and those who leave comments or reviews in the tags, i also see u (that’s why i like to reblog and respond to your tags too)!! it honestly brings me so much joy when someone comes and talks to me about something i wrote and how it made them feel. or even when someone recommends a fic i wrote. all these things that are so little and take so little of your time actually mean so much to me and im sure other writers as well.

and so i guess what im trying to say to everyone is: if you are a fic reader, if you read any fics, i just want you to know that the fic you loved reading took the writer a lot of resources to write (brain power, creativity and importantly time). i hope this gives u an insight into the process of a writer/writing a fic because im hoping it might help with whether or not you decide to hit that like or reblog or comment button in the near future!!

(also, i think it’s a shame that as writers sometimes we have to compromise on what we actually want to write vs what to write to get more engagement, likes, rbs etc. personally i have been writing on tumblr since 2020 on and off so ive been on here for four years now and i have a good sense of what is a good formula for a “successful” fic - usually it’s smut, usually it’s for the most popular member in terms of fic reading, and usually it’s of a certain length posted around a certain time etc etc. but i guess i don’t rly care anymore bc im a kinda old tumblr writer who isn’t bothered about the notes as much as i am just grateful for the little comments people send me saying that what i wrote made them feel seen or resonated with them. cos i think that is priceless 🥹)

PS. in no way am i complaining about the engagement or lack thereof that i personally get, nor am i complaining about the mere fact that writing is hard bc yes i am aware that i wanted to write in the first place and so it was my decision haha
