you watched with pride as your girlfriend jogged over to the sidelines, smacking her palm against laia's and clapping the catalonian on the back who raced across the pitch to take her place.

you waited patiently as leah greeted the coaching staff, shaking hands and having a quick word with the defensive head and pointing out a few things as he slid over to speak with jonas and leah made her way down the line of subs, fist bumping each girl as she went.

"hello bench warmer." the blonde teased with a grin, quickly pecking your lips and dropping down onto the grass in front of you, waving off frida's offer to move down a seat so your girlfriend could sit beside you.

"charming as ever darling." you sighed with a smile, handing her a recovery shake as she shuffled back slightly to lean against your legs, patting your knee affectionately.

as she locked into a conversation with alessia who was sat on your other side you zoned out a little, chin resting on your fist and watching the game.

"babe!" you glanced down as leah shook your leg, raising an eyebrow. "do you remember the florist? the one down the street from that bakery we like?" leah questioned as you smiled.

"lee we can gossip all you want on the drive home, watch the game." you laughed quietly, knowing the blondes tendencies far too well as she huffed and turned back to speak with alessia.

arsenal had a two goal lead but you knew even if there was only twenty minutes left that anything could happen, which is why you paid little attention to your girlfriends stories.

though you could tell she was getting into them given the way her hands darted about as she spoke making you smile fondly as alessia and now kyra hung off the older girls every word, also now clearly invested into her tales.

"leah!" you whined shoving her shoulder as your girlfriend pinched your inner thigh, having tapped you a few times and getting no response. "i called your name nicely first! space cadet." her hand reached up to poke at your cheek as you pushed it away and sat back properly.

"you know the girl from the bakery we like yeah? the one who always slips us extra pastries when the boss isn't in, olivia? olive? i think its olivia." leah again tried to draw you in as you shook your head.

"you're a terrible gossip williamson, watch the girls! and you, stop encouraging her less!" you warned the grinning blonde beside you who shrugged, kyras head popping over her shoulder matching her eagerness. "why? she's a great story teller!" the australian defended as leah hit your knee with a happy smirk and you rolled your eyes.

"stop yapping and support your teammates! all three of you." you warned a little more sternly, the younger girls beside you deflating somewhat as leah rolled her eyes but turned around to face the pitch, sipping at her shake.

but once the beverage was finished it failed to serve as a distraction, leah growing restless and leaning over to tap alessia's knee and you sighed as within seconds both her and kyra were once more hanging off your girlfriends every syllable.

"-the florist!" you only caught the last of your girlfriends sentence, drawn into the conversation by the loud gasps of shock from the younger girls beside you and even frida who leah seemed to have sucked in now too.

"wait what?" you questioned with a frown, clearly having missed the build up as you watched manu make a diving save and breathed a sigh of relief.

"well well well. look who wants in on the gossip train!" leah smirked as you rolled your eyes and shook your head, ignoring her and instead turning back to the game. "whatever." you rolled your eyes stubbornly, focusing on the pitch again but feeling leahs eyes bore up into you.

"fine! you've twisted my arm, i'll tell you." leah tapped your thigh to gain your attention back as you couldn't help but be amused by her obvious enthusiasm. "back to my original question, you know the florist-" leah began tracking backward as you nodded.

"the one near the bakery we like, i do. what about him?" you frowned as leah huffed. "bubba theres layers to this story, don't interrupt!" the blonde warned sternly wagging a finger at you as you shoved alessia who giggled.

"well the florist. so he's married yeah? he has that photo of his wife and kid on the counter, and he always has that gold wedding band on. i remember because its got his wives initials carved into it which is quite cute, or maybe its their kids initials?" leah frowned, pausing as you again nodded though this time wordlessly.

"anyway not important. well i went in to see him on tuesday, remember i got you that huge bouquet and brought you breakfast in bed and then we had second bre-" you hurried to cover her mouth as the tips of your ears flushed red.

"leah what we do in the bedroom is private!" you hissed in warning for the words which you'd stopped before they fell. "we already heard about it when she told us the story." kyra piped up cheekily as you groaned and removed your hand, shrinking a little in embarrassment.

"anyway. well i went in on tuesday and no wedding band, no picture." leah continued on completely ignoring your reaction, pulling your hand away and kissing your knuckles sweetly before letting go.

"which is weird right? but then i also went to the bakery because as we both know their bread is the very best bread for a ham sandwich. so i went in to get a loaf and i noticed there was a different woman serving, not olivia or olive whatever her name is who usually always works on tuesdays." leahs eyes narrowed as you hummed to show you were listening.

"so i subtly asked, more so joked really, about where she was. turns out she's on maternity leave? i didn't even notice she was pregnant but apparently she's due in a few weeks!" leah scoffed in disbelief as you frowned, also not having picked up on that throughout the many months you and leah had frequented the bakery.

"so while i was waiting for the bread, and i won't lie babe i did get a croissant and finish it before i got home so you wouldn't know." leah smiled apologetically as you shoved her head with a playful roll of your eyes.

"but this is the scandal of it all. so i overheard one of the bakers on the phone and it turns out that-" leah was cut off as cheers errupted around meadow park, the final whistle blowing signalling the game was over and arsenal had indeed reigned victorious.

you waited patiently for leah to finish, watching as she placed her palms on your knees and used them to help her push up to her feet before holding out her hands to help you up.

"turns out that..." you trailed off eagerly with wide eyes as the rest of the girls began to jog out onto the pitch to congratulate everyone and greet the fans.

"i'll tell you later. come on gorgeous!" leah kissed your cheek and wandered off after lia as your jaw dropped. "what happened?" you grabbed alessia with wide eyes who shrugged. "its leahs story! i'll probably miss details and tell it wrong." the blonde tugged her hands away and followed after kyra as you groaned.

"leah!" you huffed in annoyance, hurrying after her and hating how much she'd peaked your curiousity.

"leah you can't leave it there, finish the story!" you whined catching up to her as lia just smiled in amusement not even needing to know the context as your girlfriend just tutted and slung an arm over your shoulder, kissing your cheek again with a grin.

"nah we can gossip all you want on the drive home, right baby?"

Hi! So. I’ve been reading your Sep Au, (IVE BEEN FANNING OVER IT LIKE CRAZY YOU HAVE NO IDEA, ahem) and have a bit of a small question. (Side note, this is sort of a ramble of possibilities and questions so bare with me 😅)

Big Mama. Does she ever interact with Draxum or the turtles? (Not including Donnie yet haha) Knowing her and Draxum, they don’t really get along, BUT she might have made a deal at some point with Draxum and let’s say he might’ve sent the boys to collect it at some point or just overall do her a favor or something like that, what do they think of her?

Do they hate her or have mutual respect for what she does? I mean it is said that she doesn’t really like humans as much and she does run a pretty successful business with her Battle Nexus.

Speaking of Big Mama too, Venus.

Do the boys ever end up meeting her early on with Draxum? Or is it similar to the canon version of how they met. (The recent comic)

So Draxum is very aware that Big Mama can and will kidnap his sons and put them in the Battle Nexus if she gets the chance considering how capable fighters they are. And GOD FORBID she finds out that they're related to LOU JITSU, that's just asking for trouble! Point is, Draxum makes sure to keep the turtles far away from her because he knows how dangerous she can be. They do, on occasion, conduct some business (like with that mystic train in the season 1 finale) so it's possible the turtles have met Big Mama on those occasions. But Draxum never sends them to do any business with her on their own, he's always the one doing the negotiating and the turtles will at most only accompany him.

Big Mama is essentially a mafia boss, and she's well known to be manipulative and shady, so the turtles don't exactly have the highest opinion of her. They don't hate her really, but they also don't like her. They definitely don't trust her.

But when it comes to the secret siblings, I was never planning on including them in the AU, and as excited as the Big Mama's Assistant face-reveal made me, I'm not planning on changing my mind on that. So uh. Venus or Frida or Jennika or whoever don't exist in this particular AU lol. I feel a bit bad about it because, again, I relaly like Mystery Sister even if we barely know anything about her. But I've been constructing this story around her or any other secret siblings not existing, so I'd have to change too much of the current story to make them fit into the narrative and like ughhhh. So sorry, no Mystery Sister :/

Back in 2017 Nickelodeon released a short called Teenage Mecha Ninja Turtles which follows a future version of Mikey’s students who fight crime in Turtle mechs

Master Michelangelo: Tonight you were totally boss my turtles

 A nice detail about the short is that each one of Master Michelangelo’s students are named after different artists similarly to how the Turtles were named after Renaissance artists.

Frida (in Red) is said to be named after the painter Frida Kahlo, Jackson (in Blue) is said to be named after Jackson Pollock, Basque (in Purple) is most likely named after Jean-Michael Basquiat & Kusama (in Orange) is named after Yayoi Kusama

Another kind of cool thing about Teenage Mecha Ninja Turtles short is that Future Mikey’s students share some similarities with the Rise Turtles such as ‘the red Turtle’ being the leader.

Frida: It’s Mount Vesuvius over here that needs to relax

Jackson: As soon as you relax on the whole team leader garbage

Frida: But I am team leader!

Raph: I’m the leader! The leader wears the suit!

Another similarity is that Donnie & Basque’s staffs can both turn into hammers.

Teenage Mecha Ninja Turtles is a pretty fun short & the idea of one of the Turtles growing up & training the next generation of Ninja’s is always a nice one.

-So something I learned when browsing through the twitter q and a’s is that there are hidden cities at every big city around the world, but they aren’t all underground. They didn’t go into it but they’re all hidden in different ways. Idk where specifically but Mona is from a different city and one of their sports is gladiatorial fighting and she was very good. So she decided to move to New York and go pro. Right now she’s getting free housing and food from the Hotel plus other benefits as she does fights at the Nexus. She thinks of Big Mama as just a sorta weird boss, but overall okay. She doesn’t know that Mama is just playing her and would not let her leave easily if she ever tried but she���ll find that out eventually.

-Well for starters, she and Raph start dating pretty soon due to the boys (minus Leo) setting them up. As a couple, they’re very sporty/ lovey-dovey power couple. They equally like doing active competitive stuff as well as watching movies together. They’re pretty similar while Mona is a little more strategic and thoughtful where Raph isn’t, and Raph is more understanding and caring where Mona isn’t. Teehee I love em

She and Donnie are chill. He takes it upon himself at first to be the stern “you better not break my son’s brother’s heart” (even though he did the majority of the work to set them up, he’s just dramatic) then he’s sort of a wingman for them both to each other? Like he thinks of himself as a bit of an expert at the science of love and they let him have his fun. Mona’s sense of humor is light bullying, so once Donnie gets over his wingman phase they just go back and forth with the most unserious insults whenever they see each other. Like casual name calling as greeting (“Hey, Forehead.” “Greetings, Bearded Lady.” Idk something like that I’m not creative)

She and Mikey are good buds. He third wheels a lot so they get to know each other pretty well. Mona is an eldest child so she’s used to having that little sibling presence and they bounce off of each other well. It’s sort of a “Mona jokingly challenges that he can do something and after a bunch of shenanigans they prove he can do the thing.”

She and Leo were kind of iffy at first. Leo finds love disgusting so when Donnie and Mike were trying to set up Raph, Leo was standing to the side making remarks and giving reasons why Mona wouldn’t be a good fit for Raph (she was trying to steal his color). Once he accepted that she was gonna be around and was more relaxed about her, they started having fun. She’s used to be a Jupiter Jim fan but hadn’t watched it in a while so Leo was more than happy to infodump at her and drag her into an intense movie marathon. They would also do the light bullying thing but also they team up and direct it at Donnie.

Splinter’s happy his sons are integrating in some way with other yokai. But the fact that one of his boys has a girlfriend? Now that’s all he could hope for. He’s very nice and chill towards her and is more of an accidentally embarrassing dad to Raph. They try not to bring up her current employment around him tho…

April is grateful to have another girl around. They both are pretty passionate people so they do fun stuff together. Mona’s pretty down for all the adventures and weird stuff involved so they go adventure together, probably to witch town specifically (with a disguise for April and leaving Don at home).

Simón had spent most of his time in Oasis Springs agonizing over Frida, after all, he was only here for her and although his mental had improved now that he was more away from the world of his past there was still the issue of her and what an issue it was.

He wanted to go to her, profess his love of her, make her understand that in the end, he couldn't be without her and show her that despite it all she, more than anyone else, had made him vulnerable.

But part of him knew it would be best to let her go. To stay away from her. After all, his life was misery and ill fortune, tying himself to her was sure to bring her down and after seeing how well she was doing for herself perhaps the only step forward was one without her.

So, Tuesday morning he talked with her father and asked what he should do. It was no surprise that the old man wanted him nowhere near his daughter. "You know how this ends for you, Simón, it ends tragically," her dad said. "And both of us have bought enough of that into her life."

Simón begrudgingly agreed but where did that leave him?

I think I've pretty much settled into Pascal's place I mean here I am once again making him breakfast but it really isn't official official, you know? I believe both of us wonder if this is all going too fast but who decides that really? Maybe, it's going at just the right pace?

Either way, I'm here cooking Oatmeal buttermilk pancakes, hoping this fits into his very strict diet.

I don't get too far into the preparation before he joins in and offers encouragement.

"You must be the perfect woman," he tells me and I can't help but to wink and smile his way. There's always a risk with him that it can turn into more. Eh, not a risk, a hope...but he does say he has a game today and so he needs to be very very focused for that.

That leaves me with plenty to do and before I could make a plan on what to do with my free time it is Irene who calls me and asks to come over. I met her at the food stand a day or so ago if you recall and I'm more than happy to get to know her better. I feel like out of all the people I've met I have the most in common with her and so I hope this is the start to a beautiful friendship.

Before she comes over I have time to make some ice cream and also mix some lemonade. Summer is coming up hard and fast here in Oasis Springs and you'd have to be stupid to find yourself outside without a cool drink or a handful of ice cream or something!

She strolls right up to the house after she hears me outside humming and making lemonade. I invite her to sit, thankful for the shade, and she's eager to jump right into a conversation about our shared hobby. Being chefs!

"I work at the Selva place, you know the one?"

I nod my head, once again thinking of Simón and the date we shared there and ummm, what happened after. Best not to think about that. "The food was really good! I plan on going back some day-"

"The boss is an ass but a loveable one," she says, joking. "Won't even hire anyone unless they have 'heritage' or whatever, which is silly but-"

"Oh? Is he hiring?" I say, pushing right past the red flag she had put before me and focusing on the opportunity. "Maybe he might be easier to deal with if you have a friend there to help you out?"

"Well, yes? Maybe? I think he might be. I could ask him for you but...like I mentioned, he's a bit of an ass! Be careful with him!"

I tell her I will and to go ahead and give him a good word for me. Who knows if I'll take the offer, who knows if I'll be offered, but I always consider an opportunity.

After that she talks a bit about my stand and how she is just a little jealous of it. "It's pretty bold," she says. "You're all on your own so if anything goes wrong, you are to blame. Takes a lot of courage."

"I guess...I felt like I had nothing to lose," I say, thinking about how she was right but when I started my stand I never thought of failure because I've lived through failure and tragedy and I've come out stronger. "You know it is fun, thinking about the recipes and all that and-"

"That's my dream you know? Having my own place..."

That is definitely a noble and respectable dream, one I think I share...

Irene has to go which of course leaves me home alone or...well, that's not technically my home but you know what I mean!

I could have sat there and watched television or something but instead decided to head to the gym. If Pascal is out playing a game with the team or whatever he's doing then I need to stay fit myself and what better way than yoga?

It was the perfect time for it too since there was no one else around.

And being at the gym meant it is likely that I run into Sara who I think was coming from her own light work out herself. She was super excited to see me and asked why I wasn't at home earlier. "Came to ask if you wanted to work out but you just arrived? What have you been up to?"

"I've been at Pascal's place," I come right out with it, watching her eyes grow big with excitement and demand.

"Oh! Wow! You HAVE to tell me about it!"

She drags me to one of the seats, sits across from me, and gives me a signal to go on. Looks like I have little option here but to indulge her need to know just a little bit although there isn't much for me to tell her. So, I just focus on the general feeling I have when it comes to him.

"He's simple, in a good way I mean. Keeps to himself, works out a lot, very focused on his career."

"See, see!" She says, referencing my conversation with her and Marjorie days ago. "Is it true? Is he trying to get transferred to Real Del Sol!?"

"Huh?" I have no idea what she's talking about.

"O-oh, just a rumor, Oasis FC you know, small team, respectable, but he's bound to outgrow them at this rate," she says nonchalantly. "Off to a bigger club to hopefully win championships and stuff. I just wondered if you'd have like the inside scoop-"

"Nooo," I'm shaking my head, regretting that I really know nothing at all about his career but I do know what that might mean for me, for us. "We don't talk much about fútbol honestly, it's not something he's mentioned."

"Hmm, I hope he doesn't go. As an OFC fan it'd suck to lose him."

"Yeah..." well, as his girlfriend it would suck too. I hope he doesn't go either but maybe it's just a rumor with nothing behind it? I'm just now getting to know him and if he were to go to another city would he ask me to come with?

Either way, right now I'll think nothing of it and enjoy the rest of my time at the gym.

Tomorrow is Summer Solstice and hopefully that means a pretty fun and eventful day. Let's hope at least!
