Throwback to my last year of French highschool when a ridiculously large number of my fellow students absolutely bombed the first part of our final English exam because they mixed the verb "to fish" and the noun "fish", making our main character Eddie become a fish that owns an apartment, keeps crusts of bread in a tin pail and nods at the old man fishing on the other side of the river

Like, I could say Ryo Asuka is (italo)american/japanese and has spent all his formative years in Italy- just so he can go insane when he has to translate cryptic latin inscriptions to save his own ass.

IDK why but- Modern AU. h History nerds Luke Castellan and Oliver Simmons (most call him by his nickname Octavian tho). With Luke focusing on revolutions and Octavian on the Roman Empire, both locked in a constant conflict of whose topic is the more interesting one with the other.

I am plagued by theatrical productions i'll never see... it's not like a book i can pick up at any point and return to with new insights as an omniscient reader. No one experiences a play the same but the momentality of it makes you more aware of your role, be it on stage or the audience, the story flows because of your presence at this exact moment. And there are countless plays at this very moment everywhere in the world, there is so much i will never know or experience? It will just be lost to time, to others' perception and memory?

Consequences of moving from one bilingual country to another as a kid 😆

Got a year's worth or so of Latin in highschool before I decided I want to switch to the Science& Modern Languages curriculum instead.Mostly forgotten by now.Studied Ancient Greek for a year in uni too, passed the exam and then promptly forgot almost everything unfortunately.Also made a very unsuccessful attempt at Japanese years ago. ( Very unsuccessful I don't know shit anymore)
