Evolution of the Le Lioré and Olivier ‘LeO 45’, a bomber whose prototype first flew in 1937. It was one of the fastest medium bomber of its generation, faster than German bombers of the same category. Here you can see the evolution of its engine and vertical stabilizer.

The Red Baron, WWI. Soldiers examine what remains of Manfred von Richthofen's aircraft after he was shot down, and killed over Vaux-sur-Somme, France, just days before his 26th birthday, but by then already an aviation legend.

You have OCs? Tell me about the OCs
I’ll tell you about Concorde because I’ve been ignoring him!
Tumblr media
He is a Cybertronian who came to earth in the 1970’s seeking refuge for some unknown reason, but immediately went into stasis in the altmode he picked up (which was… You guessed it. A Concorde.) due to exhaustion. He was probably the first Cybertronian to show up on the planet, but nobody knew he was even there until way later.
He spends the next 30ish years in stasis while his altmode is presumed to just be a regular Concorde, shipped to and flown by Air France. It feels like being half awake. He wasn’t fully unconscious, but he couldn’t really think complex things, and most things he does think or do are subconscious, without realising.
He assumes that he is just a regular airplane. Sometimes, he uses a holoform pilot to fly himself. As I said, this isn’t a conscious decision on his part. He doesn’t think about it. When the Concordes are retired, he’s sent to a storage hangar and then a museum, staying there for the next 10-20 years (depending on when the story takes place). Despite his half-asleep state, this time feels incredibly lonely.
Then, by accident, he’s kicked out of stasis by a random human. Their meeting is very awkward. They both scream at each other. This is Pilot. That’s what he calls her, anyway.
With instructions from Concorde and a lot of dedication, she’s able to get him airworthy again, and they fly outta there together. Ever since that day they’ve been flying together, with Pilot tending to Concorde. His time being treated like a regular earth plane and the extended time in his altmode has weakened Concorde meaning he requires frequent maintenance, especially until he can actually get a checkup from a cybertronian doctor.
Despite his reawakening, he doesn’t remember what he’s doing here, or who he was, or even what his name is. All he can remember of himself are flashes of events he sees in dreams.
His goal is to make contact with other cybertronians with the hope that if he asks enough people, maybe one of them will remember him from his past life. Occasionally worries that he might’ve been a bad person before. It’s both comforting and haunting to him that he’s not the person he used to be.
