Once this was the home of a small but proud lord, overseeing his little town from the windows of his manor. But ten years ago this manor burned down and ever since then no one has set foot here. Gold is rumored to be hidden on the island by the townsfolk, but the lord, who still lives there, will tell everyone that there is nothing to find, and never to set foot on that cursed place. ----- Here is a map of a haunted manor on a small island. If you want there are some high resolution versions available (for free!) on our patreon and I also wrote some rough ideas down on how to run a very memorable encounter with the ghost of this island. Here you can find a pdf to that encounter. I tried to keep it just one page to keep it simple, while still giving some fun ideas. If you ever use this map in your session, please let us know. It'd make me so happy to know that people are having fun with something that we made. ----
All of our maps in October will be free to grab, follow us here, on reddit, instagram or patreon to see more. New maps in every couple days are coming out!

Who hasn't dreamed of the ocean spray in your face, the wind flowing through your hair and freshly caught fish straight out of the ocean and onto your table. Well, maybe you, but probably not your characters. Cause in their real world they have to compete with hungry sea monsters and live under the constant threat of pirates and other enemy vessels.
-------
There's gridless and gridded high resolution versions with and without tentacles available for free on our Patreon. You can also find some encounter tips as to how I would run this encounter, whether it be pirates, a kraken or something else entirely. Hope you enjoy it and if you ever run these maps, let me know. It'd make us happy knowing that all the hours of drawing went to good use :)

Oh the sweet weight of treasure chests on your back, your horse or giant beetle loaded down with gems and jewelry. Another lucrative adventure comes to a close. Or does it? Because behind our heroes, warhorns are blown, and a dust cloud kicked up as a large group of enemies moves steadily towards our heroes.

There's gridless and gridded high resolution versions with and without tentacles available for free on our Patreon.  For inspiration, here is a guide to how I would run this encounter. If you like this map, please check out our profile or Patreon for others like it. We try to make a map every 3 days for the whole month of October. And as always, if you use this map in a session, feel free to let us know. It'd make me happy to know that our maps were used in games besides our own.

Pull up the ladder, grab the sending stones, the horde is coming.
These lookout towers are strewn along the border and are an early warning system to spot hordes of zombies. When you do, you report the horde, haul up and wait for reinforcements to arrive.
------
Based on the American fire lookouts, this should be a very versatile map that you can use as defender, attacker and just as an interesting point in the landscape. But of course, let me make it as easy as possible and give you some inspiration for a whole zombie-centric towerdefense session.

With a bit of effort one hero manages to pry the person-sized gem out of its holding place. It tumbles down into the snow. Thank the gods that it doesn’t shatter on some hidden rock. Something else does shatter, though. It’s the spell that kept this skeleton from moving around, powered by the gem that our heroes just removed. Large amounts of snow drop from slowly moving bones. The hero who is standing on the 20 feet tall sword probably has a feeling of ‘oh shit’.
And that’s when we roll initiative.
--- As per usual, there is a free one page encounter guide that might help you get some inspiration on cool combat and puzzles that can be run on this map. You can find that here.
And as always, if you end up using the maps, let us know. It’ll make us happy knowing that all those hours drawing and editing and writing went to a fun evening for some people :)
