bill autopay

#had a bit of a scare bc i got an email saying i was late on my rent and they were gonna have to repossess the house if i couldnt pay #and i was so confused bc id given them a debit authorization form? for them to withdraw automatically? so i paid manually and told them that #and they came back like sorry... we dont know what happened... well look into it... i thought id misunderstood what a debit authorization is #of course if id checked my bank account i couldve seen that the money hadnt come out and asked them before i got a late notice #but if i set up autopay on something i never check it bc thats the point of autopay... set it up and forget it...#i do everything like this. appointments go in the calendar with a reminder set and then i forget about them until its time #this is probably a bad habit tho bc i did just find out my internet had been charging me for 'free trials' id apparently forgotten to cancel #whatever... let me live my fiscally inattentive life in peace mom...

i think it should be illegal to lock news articles behind a paywall while also making your subscription service virtually impossible to cancel, i also do not think a news subscription should be $20

#i needed an article for an assignment a couple months ago #and the only one that i could find was from that site #i got a free trial and forgot about it #but wasn’t worried bc supposedly the subscription was only a dollar #so imagine my surprise when i look at my bank account and see a $20 charge to said news site #chats ☕️

Watched the casa bonita documentary and it was fantastic. Just as a documentary it was very well done, the storytelling was great, editing was great, all the moments they captured were really fun and a coollook into the process and just how absolutely fucked up it was. By all means yeah they should have reasonably bailed but they didn't and it turned out amazing. Seriously makes me want to go there (which I hope one day I'll get the chance). It was a good way to get that little fix of what makes m+t so special by looking into their creative process and what the project meant to them. Like fuck yeah, I wanna see the two of them riff off each other pretending to be skeleton animatronics in a cave. Its seriously so fun.

But also, Trey's sentimental little moment at the end too was just so beautiful wrapping it all up. He created what he believed it could become despite what was screaming at him to stop spending money and bail. And his little speech about it being for the kids and the joy he felt knowing the kids were having fun. But that he also knew he couldn't even be in casa bonita and enjoy being there because he knew he'd become a part of the attraction because of his fame, and that's not what he wanted for the project. So it was that bittersweet "Was it worth it?" And then the little "totally"

So yeah. 10/10 really really loved it

I just finished Earthspark Season 3!! No spoilers here but IT WAS SO GOOD!!!

I really didn't expect them to do so well at retroactively fixing the travesty that was Season 2. Makes me wonder what happened in between seasons.

The animation is still not great.... until the last two episodes, especially the last scenes! It's like unnecessarily beautiful in both plot and visuals, and I love it.

I'm trying to not make it a habit to literally wait a full month each time I post something on here, but what can ya do.

Anyways, uh, hey guys. I'm still breathing, and I hope y'all are doing the same. My 24th birthday is in three days, which is also slated to be the final session of that tabletop game I'm running. Because, like clockwork, my hypothesis of it ending in March/April was simply incorrect, as my players (love you guys) always find new and unique ways to take their time. But, for real this time, the 28th will unequivocally be the final session for this game I've ran for the better part of two years, so that's pretty cool.

Additionally, I'm in the midst of moving. I honestly don't have a huge amount of stuff, so it's not nearly as exhausting as it could be, but still pretty stressful to deal with as I'm sure any of you who's moved before can relate to. But, on the bright side, I'm just about done with that as well.

Now, I'm sure the burning question is, "What's all this mean for Act 2?"

Simple. Means that, as soon as I get the campaign's epilogue sorted and my furniture in the right spots, I can finally be in a position to actively work on it once more. How long will it take? Who the fuck knows. I'll burn that bridge when I get there. Hope y'all who've followed so far are willing to be patient for just a bit longer. I also hope that it'll be worth the wait once it's finally finished.

Going through a straight up comical amount of irritating situations to get the stupid 4* guaranteed ticket from the welcome to sekai campaign. It Will Be Mine.

#I’m resuming this tomorrow it’s been hours now I’m just mad #I’m home because my parents are moving to a different state and I needed to pack whatever was left #and for some reason we just keep old devices when we’re done with them #so I borrow an adapter to allow me to connect my ancient unworking iPad mini to my laptop #factory reset it. i have to reset an old email to access the old Apple id to fully reset it.#it won’t connect to the wifi so I have to reset the settings. i find out it’s too old to run pjsk.#i find an old phone that should work. i reset it as well. I’m able to download pjsk & it takes 20 minutes.#pjsk crashes everytime I try to open it. i attempt to run bluestacks on my computer. bluestacks doesn’t have 64 bit for mac yet.#i get a free trial of parallels and download windows onto my laptop. this takes 40 minutes.#i try to download and run bluestacks on that. m1 macs apparently can’t run bluestacks 64 bit through parallels.#i go find the final old phone that I had forgotten about. it takes forever to charge because the charging port is fucked up. i reset it as #well. it can’t connect to wifi. i try a hotspot on my current phone. service is too awful. i try to do wifi sharing from my laptop.#you have to be connected to the router via a cable for that to work.#at this point it has been like 3 hours. I’m giving up because I’ve been down this route before #when I attempted to run 32 bit steam games on m1 mac #(wine64 doesn’t exist for m1 macs yet -> attempt to run boot camp -> boot camp isn’t a thing anymore on Apple silicon -> attempt to run #several different programs that allow me to run windows on a mac. none of them work. ->#look into linux & give up. -> attempt to implement the unfinished/unbottled wine64 code thru terminal. ->#fuck up and delete some important file & have to fix that (misery inducing) -> keep trying. i think I downloaded a Mac coding program at #some point? i realize I have zero coding knowledge and this is a mistake. -> give up and purchase crossover. game doesn’t even work. ->#3 months later update to the latest OS so I can have enough storage to play psychonauts 2. find out the $60 crossover #purchase was a bad idea because ‘heehee crossover doesn’t work on that buy the new version’ (fuck crossover).#my toxic trait is my belief that I can figure out anything via google and sheer stubbornness. usually this is true. occasionally there are #exceptions to this rule. most of them are because owning Apple products is a mistake.#i think if I reset the router tomorrow I can solve this problem but I can also just go elsewhere with better service or wait until I’m home #now it’s a matter of pride. and also free 4*/I have nothing better to do because I’m stuck here until Tuesday.#<- this is all normal behavior by the way. who doesn’t spend 8 hours ramming their head against a problem every once and a while. enrichment #mine #oh I forgot. i also looked into cloning the app but that would cost money for something that might not even work.#‘just log out and make an alt’ and risk losing my account? #the reason why every trial is a turnabout is bc we only get our acquittals by the skin of our teeth #with every 'decisive' evidence being a miracle if not an outright bluff #like every trial is this 🤏 close to letting a criminal go free and falsely convicting an innocent person #all bc of a lack of 'decisive evidence'#so yes aa's gung ho reliance on evidence. is not great #im just in shock how out of everything This would be an issue you'd hv with turnabout serenade #what is the most solid/most critical aspect of the entire case if not ajaa as a whole #and im just babbling tangentially now but i rly rly love how ajaa examines the function of evidence #in veras trial its abt legality of obtaining evidence; there is decisive evidence to incriminate kristoph (the yellow envelope)#but it cannot be legally obtained #and also how theres not enough evidence to discern the cause of magnifis death #like fandom has taken it at face value tht it was a suicide #but i find it very neat how theres an absence of evidence to indicate that #all we hv to go off from is valants account of events #something something how aa's court would never accept such ruling where both valant and zak could be innocent #also circling back to kristoph; he never does admit to the poisoning of the mishams #and when u compare that to 2-4 where adrian andrews didnt confess to killing juan and that made phoenix doubt his accusations towards her #its all very neat. in preparation for the move I went through the deeply healing process of canceling a bunch of monthly subscriptions I had managed to accumulate over the years, turns out I was spending $70.76 on functionally nothing. Annoyed I let it get to that but happy to have the money back in my pocket so I can put it towards more responsible things: warhammer minis

#for those curious the bulk of it was kindle unlimited and audible #both of which were meant to be free trials that ended up sucking away my money for over a year without me using them once #audible was epsecially annoying because i distinctly remember trying to cancel it no less than 3 different times #and each time getting stunlocked trying to figure out how to spend the credits I'd accidentally managed to accumulate #fortunately my recent interest in warhammer finally provided an outlet and I've rid myself of it #also I will say about 9 bucks of that monthly total doesn't really count #since it was a nexus mods membership i really only subscribed to so I could mod morrowind #it had only been active for like 2 months at that point #again granted it was meant to be 0 #but nowhere near as bad as the amazon ones #the rest were random misc shit #patreons I'd been subbed to for too long #a server farm I was using to host a website I ended up letting expire #etc.#in reality the main motivation for this was that I thought electricity would be covered by the rent in my upcoming lease #but it wasn't #so i never accounted for it in my can i afford this math #so i needed to pull an electricity bills worth of money out of the aether on a monthly basis #which this has hopefully managed to accomplish #the next big money saving task will be to learn how to stop eating out so fucking often #im literally eating myself out of my retirement because I'm too much of a baby and want burger instead of home cooked meal
