one of smt5v's greatest achievements (among many) is making me actually like and be entertained by Dagda. i now go OH YOU when i see him instead of roll my eyes. i think a big part of this is that he's no longer got the really sharp 3ds audio compression on his voice that hurts my ears

i admit i've always loved dagda just bc he has extreme chuuni energy when he's like an ancient god ESPECIALLY WHEN HE'S ALL LIKE "UGH MOTHER!!!!" this man never outgrew his edgy teenage years and i love him for it. makes him perfect for nanashi tbh

i really hope dagda turning up in smtvv means they're thinking of freeing smtiv and smtiva from 3DS jail... bc those two are the only mainline smt games that haven't been ported or remastered (smt 1 & 2 is available on nintendo online, as well as smt: if), and they're very good games.

i genuinely think that smtiva actually is canon to smtv and the reason why YHVH is no longer around. they never actually said in detail how YHVH died in smtvv, just vaguely said lucifer was responsible somehow... makes sense if smtv follows on from smtiva bonds ending where they destroy YHVH across all time and space :v

I am enjoying the new content in the Stardew Valley update.

However.

I am NOT enjoying it taking nearly 20 minutes for the game to transition from the initial title screen ("press A to start") to the screen where you can choose a new game or load a saved one. TWENTY MINUTES. EVERY TIME.

We'll see if things are different when I take it offline when the library hotspot goes back, but I'm not switching it off now to try.

I'm so happy!

Context: I have had a Playstation 2 for a long time, around mayyybe 20 years old now. I'm pretty sure it was the second one I ever had, don't remember what happened to the first one. This one is the slim version, too. For the last couple years or so, not sure of the passage of time, some of the PS2 games I have seemed to have stopped working over time, like the three Spyro games I have: Spyro Year of the Dragon(PS1), The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning, and Dawn of the Dragon in the same series. Only a few games still worked, and I wasn't too sure if it was the games or the PS2 that was starting to go. I kept all the games anyway, because they were essentially my childhood.

But! I had recently found a refurbished one on Amazon and decided to get it. It came in today, and I started testing my games on it, and the games that were still working were working well. Then I got to the Spyro games. The Legend of Spyro ones are working! But the one that really had me really happy was the PS1 Spyro Year of the Dragon. That was my favorite game growing up, and had to replace it twice before and this was my third copy that lasted until now. It works. It Works!! When it stopped working, I thought it was just done. But it works and I nearly cried from how happy I was that I can play the old thing again. Sure, I have the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, but I always missed playing the old version of that third game. Seeing the Playstation 1's logo on the screen yet again had me so happy, it's been so long since I've seen the startup to this game, I've missed it so much.

I think the death of the handheld console has led to a lot of kids not getting to enjoy buying their own games. And that sucks.

Honestly from a writing perspective, I think the Pomefiore house has the best character development so far?? I mean this is probably purely due to luck because their house was right around when the books started getting longer, they play a big part in Ignihyde which is almost comically long, and just had an event themed around one of their dorm members but HOLY SHIT. Even if I don’t always agree with Vil I just respect him as a character because of the whole arc he went through, Rook is always fun to be around, and Epel is out here having like MULTIPLE character arcs, which is way more than I expected. It almost makes me wish the other dorms had stories this long so we could see what this would be like for every dorm, but I don’t want to sound like I’m demanding anything from a team that’s already working hard lmao. Idk I’m rambling but anything involving the Pomefiore members is guaranteed to FUCK (I could write whole paragraphs on Vil and Epel alone)

i think that subscription services that make you give them your card info just for a free trial should explode and die. and i think subscription services that hide the option to turn it off in the settings somewhere should also explode and die

i think the biggest issue in the "diva is dead but don't blame sekai for xyz reasons" argument is like yes of course, but literally everything about "blaming" sekai aside. i don't want to play sekai as a rhythm game. it's being put forward by the fanbase as like, some sort of replacement but the story and new characters don't come close to saving it for me and the rhythm game mechanic is not interesting! if you're into tile tap rhythm games then that's great but it's not a diva equivalent!! at all!! project diva is a proper rhythm game, you use literally all the buttons on your controller, it's hard and takes practice and you have to actually learn it. people (myself included) have put hours into learning and playing diva, you can't just be like well sekai is the new vocaloid rhythm game, suck it up and have at it, when that hasn't been the case from the start. if i WANTED to play a tile tap rhythm game i would download literally any other gacha mobage that's idol themed lol. there's no actual diva replacement and THAT'S why people are upset

Modern big games piss me off so much

I've only pre-ordered a single game(Destiny 2) and I'm never doing that shit again.

Absolutely love the first game, fantastic, community is alive and well in the Xbox 360 servers.

Second game is a straight up scam, but it's still played because it's the only new content for it(it's still dog shit tho, especially when you look at the prices for the dlc, btw preorder dlc is No longer in the game, at least for me nothing I bought is available to me now nor does it show up in the store so)(this isn't my only issue with the game, but my only other major complaint seemed to be special to my copy of the game[weird glitch])

Now I'm here downloading the game again because an online friend has a Xbox one console and they want to join up(this is the same random stranger I shared my login with/vice versa so we could share games between accounts)

Also if anyone wants a free physical copy of COD modern warfare, pls take it, I got it free from someone else and never got it to work it's basically brand new
