I've been away for a while so I figured I'd share some stuff I've been working on.
First one!
My King Slime has been benched for a while because of several crown printing mishaps. I wanted to paint him in the color scheme of the Strain in WildStar.
I think so far it's one of my best paint job!

I invited my friend (who happens to be visually impaired) to play D&D, only to realise there aren't any dice out there that can be enjoyed by both sighted and visually impaired and blind people! While there are braille dice out there, they're hard to read for sighted people and often kind of boring-looking. Visually impaired people with remaining vision can often still see some colour, sparkle and reflections so I wanted to be able to incorporate such sensations into the dice. I plan to mold the print and cast dice from it for my friend. About the tactile shapes: The bottom of the braille is indicated by a little bump in the recession of the dice faces. This way it's easy to feel what the correct orientation of the top face is. The percentile D10 has extra bumps on the bottom, to indicate the difference between the two D10s. The D4 of this set is crystal shaped, so that when the die is rolled and read, no pointy bits will harm your digits or make it tough to read. The braille used is the unified international braille. The numbers are represented by using letters from A to T on the tactile dice. Normally, the numbers in braille are indicated by letters A to J but to save space on the d20 and d12 faces, I chose to include more letters. About the numbered inserts: These shapes should fit exactly within the tactile braille shapes if you were to mold and cast dice from these prints. The font I used on the inserts is Middle Saxony Text. This is a font that's allowed to be used for private use only. There's both a supported and unsupported version of the dice included, for whatever suits your needs. In the future I will likely also design a little reference board for blind and visually impaired people that are new to reading braille and also to help the sighted people figure out what the result on the rolled tactile die is! If you are a dice maker and you want to make and/or sell dice made from molds which are in turn made from this file, please give credit where credit is due and tag @nocturnality.rpg on instagram. Also consider donating profits from your sales to charities that help blind and visually impaired people. https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-261599

Happy Halloween to all who celebrate it! In this video I want to show how a little idea for a Halloween free stl was born and what all went into it before this spider pendant came into the world in the form of corn plastic. Don't worry, it won't bite you. Corn doesn't bite... Or does it? During Halloween, anything is possible!
On Friday you can look forward to a useful tutorial on how to practically use this spider pendant other than hanging it as a wall decoratione😉

I went to Saint Louis Pride this past weekend, and honestly I'm pissed.
During the STL Pride Parade, there was a Free Palestine protest (good).
During the STL Pride Parade, there were three bitches (two men, one woman) in front of me complaining about how "this is *our* event" and "this is *our* day" and "Why do they have to do this *now* ugh;" the whole time the protest was happening.
The protesters were arrested, and the crowd full of LGBTQIA+ people cheered for the police.
Marsha P. Johnson, a black trans woman, threw the first brick at the cops illegally raiding stonewall.
After the protesters were arrested, a float handed out the inclusive pride flag with the black and brown stripes.
After the protesters were arrested, the same three bitches waived the inclusive flag (again, the one with the black and brown stripes) like it was their favorite thing they'd ever seen.
Boeing was a major sponsor of STL Pride. They had a float. Their float displayed the F-15 as one of their markers of pride and joy. Of all of the murders committed by the F-15 Eagle, the award for the largest number of them is in the hands of the Israeli Air Force.
Palestinian people are being wiped off the face of the map by Israel. They're being purposefully culled for the land that's rightfully theirs in a mass genocide. They have been since 1947. They will continue to be as long as we continue to turn a blind eye.
Our community has fundamentally forgotten our roots. We've forgotten why pride started. We say we uplift the voices of people of color and then we suppress the protesting of genocide at an event sponsored by a company who's bank accounts are covered in blood.
I've never seen a group more blithely unaware of their collective cognitive dissonance. I'm so very disappointed.

cannot BELIEVE I missed the one-year anniversary of Ben's daring double escape.
On February 7th, 2023, our noble and brave Andean bear literally clawed his way out of his cage and roamed free through the zoo for an hour and a half before being tranquilized and returned to his enclosure. Iconic. Stunning.
Tumblr media
Just a few weeks later, on February 23rd, our clever prince escaped AGAIN, overcoming the new added security measures, and was free in the zoo for nearly an hour.
Yes
YES
The bear is out

I love you, Ben.
My only note is PLEASE make sure your next escape is when I'm at the zoo. Thanks.

Took off Barbie Draper’s makeup and gave her a haircut, now…I look for clone trooper and Mando armor STLs and do some scaling experiments, because if I’m going the 3D printer route I’d like to only make one set of Goliath armor, and for it to be the one that fits

that beautiful moment when you have profs that supply free pdfs of the textbook/reading for you to download instead of wasting money on textbooks you'll only use for the semester (i mean, i was gonna find them online for free anyway because i am the queen at avoiding paying for things for school as long as its possible but still)

@kingtulip Bought it premade from iHeartGeckos. Cannot recommend them enough, and they sell em in several different standard aquarium sizes.
I paid $40 for the front and $20 for the tank during the dollar a gallon sale, whereas a comparably-sized Exo Terra will run you $150 easy.
Only real modification I made was to the vents. The slots are a little too big to contain mourning gecko hatchlings (which are Unfathomably tiny) so I added a wire mesh over top of them just to be safe. The black frames are 3d printed with PLA ($0.05 worth of material), and I bought stainless steel mesh on Amazon for $7, then siliconed it to the acrylic.

Another friend on #Printables did a great job #3Dprinting my Quartz Dragon model!
Free stls: https://www.printables.com/model/410716-quartz-dragon
Its a completely made up dragon a patron asked for a while ago. I purposely made it low poly to add to the crystalline look. I'm so happy it prints well!
Quartz Dragon Prints well!
