Pick-A-Pile: Their Career: What Profession or Field is Your Future Spouse In?
👑Check out my masterlist to see all of my pick-a-card readings😊
✨ Visit my shops at Ko-fi.com or J.Goddess Tarot✨
🔮Disclaimer: This reading is for entertainment purposes only. Tarot readings are based upon my intuitive interpretation of the cards and about possibilities based on your current energy. Energy is forever changing and nothing is set in stone. Always remember, you have your own free will to make whatever decision you feel is best.
🔮How I read: I use a mix of tarot cards, oracle cards, along with my intuitive abilities of claircognizance, clairaudience, and clairsentience.
🔮How this works: Close your eyes and take deep breaths, pick the pile you are most drawn to. If you aren’t drawn to any pile then that’s okay, these messages aren’t for you.
Pile 1

Tarot Cards: 5 of Cups, The Lovers, The Hermit (in reverse), Queen of Cups, The Chariot
Ah, my sultry Pile 1's! Embark with me on an intoxicating voyage to uncover the career secrets of your elusive future love.
Picture a soul who's tasted the bittersweet symphony of life. They've endured setbacks, but here's the allure: instead of languishing in bygone disappointments, they've channeled these lessons, forging a path glowing with promise. Like a phoenix, they've taken their setbacks and used them as fuel, emerging brighter and more determined.
Now, imagine them weaving through a world where harmony and connections reign supreme. Their charm lies in the art of building bridges, mending fences, and orchestrating unions. Their profession thrums with the rhythm of relationships, be it in the hallways of legal battles, the nuanced dance of consultancy, or the embrace of human resources. Their every endeavor is painted with passion, fostering environments dripping with mutual respect.
But, the plot thickens. Rather than being an isolated genius, they thrive in the pulsating heart of collaborative arenas. Their days are painted with group dynamics, team brainstorming, and the infectious energy of collective creation. Every project, a harmonious dance of diverse minds.
In this riveting tale, their heart emerges as their compass—a wellspring of empathy, care, and intuition. Whether in the healing embrace of healthcare, the nurturing realms of social work, or the soulful corridors of counseling, their profession beckons to souls in need, offering solace and understanding.
And as our tale nears its climax, the essence of sheer willpower and ambition becomes palpable. This lover is destined to blaze trails, to dominate arenas with a fierce determination that sets the world alight. They are a force, a whirlwind of goals and victories, and their chosen field echoes with their triumphant strides.
To tie this enigmatic tale together, enchanting Pile 1's, your future lover’s career is an exhilarating blend of resilience, harmony, collaboration, empathy, and fierce ambition. This tantalizing mix promises a partner whose professional life mirrors a journey of challenges, triumphs, and heart. As Destiny weaves its tapestry, these revelations hint at the captivating tale of your shared future.
Pile 2

Tarot Cards: 5 of Swords, 10 of Wands, 2 of Swords, Ace of Cups, 8 of Wands
My tantalizing Pile 2's, prepare to embark on a riveting journey, delving into the exhilarating career landscape of your enigmatic future love.
Visualize a realm teeming with cutthroat competition and exhilarating duels of wit. In this world, your future spouse emerges as a master strategist, a maven who thrives amidst the electric tension of challenges. Their arena? Perhaps the high stakes corridors of corporate warfare or the intricate dance of political maneuvering.
Yet, with power comes responsibility. They might be ensnared in a web of weighty expectations, but ah, they wear their burdens like a king wears a crown—regal and undeterred. Every decision, every responsibility is borne with a grace that makes you wonder if they were born for this.
Peering deeper, we find them at the crossroads of pivotal decisions, casting judgments that ripple through time. The gavel of authority, the responsibility of steering ships through turbulent waters, they're at the helm, orchestrating outcomes with a finesse that's nothing short of mesmerizing.
But what fuels this fire? An undying passion, a wellspring of love for their craft. They're not just chasing gold or accolades, but a deeper calling, a passion that lights up their soul. Their realm could be awash with colors on a canvas, the poetic dance of numbers, or the rhythm of heartfelt melodies.
And as the tale unfolds, a whirlwind of motion emerges. Envision them dashing through airports, or fervently connecting with souls across continents, weaving stories, striking deals, or capturing moments at the speed of light. The pulse of journalism? The adrenaline of sales? The world awaits their next move.
In wrapping up our delicious tale, my alluring Pile 2's, Destiny paints your future lover as a formidable force in a world of strategy, responsibility, passion, and ceaseless motion. Their journey promises thrills, challenges, and the sweet taste of fulfillment. As the stars align and tales intertwine, remain receptive, for destiny has its own rhythm, and your dance is just beginning.
Pile 3

Tarot Cards: 10 of Pentacles, 3 of Pentacles (in reverse), 6 of Wands (in reverse), 10 of Swords, 3 of Swords
Ah, my alluring Pile 3's, immerse yourself as we journey into the opulent tapestry of your future lover's career. Let the tantalizing revelations unravel, revealing a narrative you'll surely find hard to resist.
First, picture a world awash with prosperity—a realm where luxury isn't just a fantasy, but an everyday reality. In this gilded domain, your future partner thrives, perhaps manipulating the strings of business empires, orchestrating the ballet of real estate, or mastering the cryptic language of finance. They've crafted an empire, not just of wealth, but of ambition realized and dreams manifested.
But ah, the plot thickens! Every gold thread in this tapestry was spun amidst trials. In their earlier days, shadows of doubt and walls of disregard might have threatened to eclipse their brilliance. Yet, with indomitable spirit, they emerged, carving a niche where their genius could no longer be overshadowed.
Despite the accolades and the tangible trophies of success, there's an enigmatic humility to them. They waltz through the corridors of achievement, not with boisterous fanfare, but with a quiet confidence. They let their masterpieces echo their tales, garnering silent respect from every corner.
As our tale takes a riveting turn, we find them at a crossroads—a dramatic shift that upended their world but paved the way to their destiny. A switch that might've tasted bitter initially, but ultimately led them to their passion, their true north.
And oh, the finale? A heart so vast, so tender. Their profession might echo with the soft murmurs of comforting words, the healing touch that mends broken spirits. Whether in the embrace of healthcare, the sanctuary of counseling, or the comforting realms of social work, their purpose is clear: to heal, to comfort, to uplift.
To wrap up our sumptuous saga, delectable Pile 3's, Destiny paints your future lover as a beacon of resilience, prosperity, humility, transformation, and boundless compassion. Their career is not just a job; it's a testament to a journey of trials turned triumphs. As fate weaves its stories, savor these revelations and remain enchanted by the cosmic dance of love and Destiny."

Something I've been thinking about a lot as I play my current Sims 4 legacy challenge is how a lot of the negative criticism about The Sims 4 being to easy comes from critics and reviewers taking mechanics and even whole expansions in isolation, which is not really how the game is asking you to play it.
If you focus on any one specific aspect of TS4 to the exclusion of everything else it is in fact, a pretty easy game. But if you are trying to tell a story or allow one to naturally evolve, you are never going to be focusing on just one part of the game.
For example, in my current game I have four sims- two adults two children. Just juggling their needs and keeping everyone alive is not terribly difficult, but every layer beyond that you go it gets more and more challenging. As a result of my founder Sim picking the hot headed bad boy instead of the more stable family man (a choice made as a result of being more attracted to Bad Boy) the parents have a Unpredictable romantic dynamic and a Strained family dynamic, which means their pink and green bars are in a near constant state of free fall and it takes a lot of concentrated effort to keep them from fighting all the time and being miserable any time their around each other. They can't get a divorce though: because I need both their incomes and because it will get substantially harder to raise the kids in a one parent house hold, so instead their trapped in this endless cycle of me intervening to send them on a date to fix their shitty relationship and remember their each other's soulmates, being fine for a while, then slowly growing more and more miserable and unhappy with each other as they start fighting constantly, until I step in again, and save their relationship, again. I could just send them to relationship concealing fix all this but that takes money they do not have and it wouldn't be worth setting aside because this is ultimately cheaper (seriously, counseling costs like a thousand dollars per session and my criminal husband is taking home 170ish a paycheck!).
Meanwhile you have the kids. One just started being a teenager and that means she's constantly getting asked to do things, go places, and have those typical Important Teenage Experiences (board walk, sports day, career fair, prom, prom after party, etc). Again on it's own it wouldn't be to bad, but I have to pick and choose what high school experiences for her to have very carefully because I can't consonantly be tabbing away from my home lot to follow her and make sure she's getting the Most Out of Her Teen Years since that might mean her parents digging a relationship hole I'll never get them out of, or her toddler little brother's needs getting incredibly out of wack. I misjudged this balance initially because she got a Fear of Unfulfilled Dreams and she would often fall into an ennui doom spiral of bad moodlets related to her not missing out on life despite being like 16 (honestly? millennial icon). These bad moodlets where getting in the way of her socializing and school progress so I had to have her conquer that fear (it's own lengthy process) in order to get back on track. At the same time her little brother being first in infant and then a toddler, needs constant supervision and care from his parents- he can't go anywhere or do anything on his own, and if I let his needs slip to far away he's going to get yanked by social services, which absolutely can not happen because he's the heir to this challenge and since he's sister isn't a spellcaster I don't have backup plan for the next generation if he gets taken.
Did I mention yet that this is largely a spellcaster household? Cause see the overarching story line I'm going for is the rise (and possible fall) of a family of spell casters over several generations. And you might be thinking 'surely having phenomenal cosmic power makes all this easier' and you would be wrong. I frequently set things on fire when trying to magically repair them, overload on magical charge, and have to deal with my og Sim being cursed with everything from higher spell failure rates to being stalked by evil spirits. The curses especially are wild because in my efforts to Decrusify myself I ended up with a completely different unrelated curse from overloading during the spell. I can't just stop using magic either because it's my main sim's Aspiration meaning I need to keep grinding out those spell caster experience points- which leaves me in this feedback loop of trying to solve every problem with magic, it going horribly awry, needing more magic to dig myself out of the resulting hole, and that going horribly awry.
Honestly the only advantage of being a spell caster has been being able to make huge batches of chili in my cauldron and just leaving it there for family members to eat from when their on the go, since cauldron chili never expires. It's saved me tons of time that would otherwise be spent cooking meals, which has been a huge help since Everything Is Happening All of the Time.
All this to say is that while I understand where the complaints of The Sims 4 being to easy, I think it's a problem of framing rather then with the game itself. If you just set out to tell a story and then let it naturally evolve and twist, you'll find plenty of challenge- as each layer of the game adds it's own plate you have to keep spinning if you want to avoid peeing yourself in the street during an existential crisis.
#mods help too#The Sims 4#TS4#this and metaphor are pretty much the only things I've been playing recently#also before you say it#yes I know a lot of this is pay walled content from expansions and game packs#but given ts4 is free now my main thought regarding dlc has basically become#'get whatever interests you/suits your style of play' and ignore the rest#it's still to expensive sure but that is also a separate conversation from what I'm trying to say here about the game's over all challenge

The funny part is that the guy's real name was Joseph but he got the nickname "Bum" because when he was a kid, he was obsessed with the local fire station across the street from his childhood home. He would constantly stalk it and ask firefighters to do stuff for him, hence he was the "little bum" ("bum" is an American slang term for asking for free favors-- most commonly to "bum a cigarette" meaning to ask for a cigarette). He kept up this behavior as an adult.
The way the guy presented himself is striking too to say the least. Dude loved his bright red suits with rose-tinted glasses and gold jewelry, complete with a golden fire axe that he wore on his tie. He also had a lime-green Ford Galaxie 500 (basically a very weird mid-tier sedan decorated like a luxury car) labeled "El Jefe" ("the chief" in Spanish). And he smoked massive cigars. And he performed elaborate Santeria rituals on his car's fender during local highschool baseball games for good luck.
He was also noted for an incident where he jumped into a canal shortly after extinguishing a fire, believing the canal to be a swimming pool, and had to be rescued because he couldn't swim.
His disappearance probably related to his involvement in marijuana and cocaine dealing, which got started when the economy went south in the area. Surprisingly, this was pretty normal in Key West in the 70's-- people tended to view it as just a career some people had, like shrimping, rather than this big bad thing. It was so not stigmatized that this man could be seen selling drugs in the open right outside of his office as fire chief. Really, people were probably more unhappy with the charges that he embezzled state funds, which he beat thanks to a sketchy counsel that included his nephew. But Florida Governor Reubin Askew (another "yes really"-ass name right there) was tough-on-crime and especially tough-on-drugs. He collaborated with the DEA to launch Operation Conch, a sting operation dedicated to busting drug dealings in Key West. Informant Titus Walker and agent Larry Dollar (disappointingly inferior names, although there is something to be said for getting done in by the Dollar) got Bum Farto to deliver cocaine and he was officially busted.
Farto lost his beloved Ford Galaxie that day, and went on to have a speedy trial where he was easily found guilty. On the eve of his formal sentencing, he told his wife he had business to take care of in Miami and drove off in a Pontiac LeMans. The car was found abandoned near Miami, but Farto was never seen again. It's thought by US authorities that he briefly settled down in Golfito, Costa Rica (where the US embassy reported an attempt to renew his passport) but left in 1979 when there was a crackdown on fugitives in the area. Many of the locals of Key West believe he was murdered for knowing too much, like Titus Walker was. His attorney is noted for wearing a custom T-shirt that proclaimed that Bum was in Spain and doing well, but that has never been substantiated.
Basically, the man was a fire-station obsessed thief who tried to use a random canal as a swimming pool despite not being capable of swimming. His prized possession was a car straight out of a cartoon, and he dressed like a 90's pimp more than 20 years before the 90's began. He practiced Santeria rituals to help the local high schools win baseball games. He dealt drugs in public but needed a sting operation from Governor Sideways Sandwich to be busted. And then he just straight up vanished into thin air.
This guy isn't a Star Wars background character-- he's a fucking Gravity Falls protagonist. Fucker was in Weirdness Town, Oregon where he impersonated the local recluse for 30 years and punched trigonometry in the face. This is facts, fight me.

In the first chapter of her career, Paula Flory worked as a counselor for nonprofits serving underprivileged youth. Then, in 2011, in her early 40s and in the best shape of her life, she felt a lump in her armpit. After focusing on beating Stage III breast cancer, Paula found her next chapter: serving women in the same circumstances she had so recently been in herself. That’s why she started Move Over Breast Cancer, a tricked-out van near our New Jersey headquarters that will bring you all the nice-to-have services you could want when undergoing treatment…for free. “As everyone who has ever been diagnosed with cancer can tell you,” said Paula, “it’s as if you’ve been hit by a high-speed train when you hear the news. It created chaos in me and in my life. Even with the tremendous support of family, friends and my and community, I felt as though I was crawling through sludge making these huge decisions about treatment and surgeries.” Each day was more difficult than the next, said Paula, but there was also a moment early on in the diagnosis process that “there seemed to be a tiny tunnel through which I could see a light of hope. I strongly felt when looking through this pinhole that I would find an opportunity within this problem.” This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, hear Paula’s fresh perspective on breast cancer and find out why our Power Figure calls it “a gift.” Q: In what ways has breast cancer changed your life?A: Having breast cancer changed everything and nothing at the same time. The love and support of my family and friends never wavered, but the experience changed the entire trajectory of my life. I now realize that all of the pain and the trauma, all the moments filled with fear, disappointment and confusion, were building me up to help other women who were affected by breast cancer. My background in counseling was now coupled with a reality in which I was able to truly empathize with what others were experiencing when they were diagnosed and treated. I learned that problems were only such when you chose to look at the negative and not to allow yourself to just be still and trust that, at some point, you’ll come to understand the “why.” For me, breast cancer was a gift. I cannot imagine my life without having had cancer. Sure, I have scars, but I’ve redefined my beauty: I no longer focus on what others see when they look at me, but on how I make them feel. I couldn’t ask for more in life than to have the chance to bring hope to another woman facing cancer. Q: Tell us about your new venture, Move Over Breast Cancer.A: I am the founder and executive director of Move Over Breast Cancer, a nonprofit still in its infancy. Over the course of my eight-year career in breast cancer support programming and leadership, I’ve worked with more than 2,000 women and learned what women need in order to thrive during and after cancer. Move Over is a mobile program which will be housed in a customized, walk-in van that brings essential support safely to a woman’s doorstep with professionalism, compassion and humor. Aboard our Glam Van, she will receive an individualized plan of care based on her needs. Head- shaving, wig fitting, mastectomy bra fitting and breast prostheses are all free of charge. We will offer counseling, education and so much more. Move Over Breast Cancer was designed to address barriers like transportation and childcare to receiving these essential, complimentary support programs that have been proven to alleviate many of the psychosocial and physical side effects of diagnosis and treatments. Even during Covid-19, Move Over Breast Cancer is able to safely shed light on a dark journey. Q: What are your proudest accomplishments?A: I was named Breast Cancer Leader of the Year in 2019 by Breast Cancer Wellness magazine. I’ve also travelled the world educating women and helping medical professionals understand what the breast cancer experience means and what it’s really like. I was invited to Rwanda and India to educate women about prevention and to help hospitals build breast cancer support programs. Each day that I work with women with cancer is a privilege and a part of my own continued healing. Q: What challenges do you face? How do you stay positive when working with cancer every day of your life?A: Branching off on my own and starting Move Over Breast Cancer has been a leap of faith in my own abilities. Lately, the most challenging part of my work has been showing people that Move Over isn’t just a passion project, but that what we offer are essential support services that have been proven to improve patient outcomes. Many see me as a survivor who wants to give back, and I am, but this is so much more. Move Over isn’t about me; it’s about the need for women to have hopeful and positive experiences within the fight of their lives. Another challenge is that women continue to die of this disease. I know that some of the amazing warriors I have the privilege of working with will not make it. That’s the reality, and it’s really tough. My positive outlook comes from the incredible women I meet all the time. Although many are very sick, we are able to help them see that they can live a full life. It’s awesome to see these women begin to grab onto life again, to take walks with us outdoors, to laugh when we shave her hair into a mohawk, to see friendships form between survivors. These are beautiful gifts. [perfectpullquote align=”right” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””]”It’s awesome to see these women begin to grab onto life again”[/perfectpullquote] Q: What advice do you give women dealing with breast cancer? How about for their loved ones who want to be supportive?A: Be patient. Allow others to help you. Take time to be still each day. Allow yourself to grieve the loss of your breasts, hair and the life you knew, but also notice when you’re making new discoveries. For friends and loved ones, be there to listen. Don’t offer advice or tell stories about other people with cancer. Send a nice card, have a meal delivered, ask her what she needs. You can also be there for others in her family who may be feeling lost and overwhelmed. Q: Being so close to this subject, what do you see that gives you hope for better days ahead?A: When I read and speak with researchers, I’m hopeful. I am told we are on the cusp of very promising treatments for metastatic breast cancer. I also know that more women are learning that mammography is the key to early detection. The technology and research are moving so quickly. Even from the time I was diagnosed in 2011, there are so many more effective treatments. I believe we will find a cure but until then, women need to know that Move Over Breast Cancer and other organizations are out there to help them navigate the challenges.
