These all look so pretty/nice 😁
(Currently questioning which anaesthetic term fits me;this is pretty recent development lol)
Anaesthetic / nonaesthetic / a-aesthetic (anae for short) flags part 1 :> 🌸 (Due to the image limit, this is split into 2 posts.)
I noticed some a-spec flags were missing tertiary counterparts, so I made some. Some of these flags have already been made before, so they're not all original (I still wanted to have all the flags together in a set, and all in the same res).

I'll also note that some of these terms can have multiple names, with the "aesthetic", "anaesthetic", "nonaesthetic", "a-aesthetic", & "anae" part being interchangeable. This isn't applicable to every term though. I also chose not to list everything to try to keep it brief. So for example, greyaesthetic can also be called greyanaesthetic, greynonaesthetic, and greyanae.

Estranhoaesthetic is an aesthetic spectrum term, which describes different states of fray attraction, it is a subset of Frayaesthetic. It describes when one may lose or gain attraction in really specific scenarios when other terms don’t work, it is typically felt towards those they don’t know and the possibility of gaining any knowledge or any bond with that individual whether platonic, romantic, etc.
Someone that is Estranhoaesthetic:
- may potentially lose the attraction if any knowledge of the individual in question is known, or if any sort of bond is gained.
- They may experience the inverse of this where they may only experience attraction if there is a bond, but after a while it fades away but then comes back when the bond is greater.
- They have no knowledge of the individual but the aesthetic attraction just fades away without any explanation.
- The individual may only experience the attraction if they know nothing about the individual and may feel that their feelings towards the individual is redundant if they have any knowledge or bond with that individual.
Someone who is this term experiences all or most of these examples, the term relies on really specific circumstances where Valis, Fray and Demi don’t work for them.
This term is used regardless of whether one is allo or anaesthetical

Mono-spec
describes those who might experience more than one form of attraction, but only one form of allo-attraction
Mono-spec Flag:
Tumblr media
Mono-spec (or monoattractional spectrum) comes from the term, monoattraction. Monoattraction is used to describe people who exclusively experience one form of attraction, while mono-spec describes anyone who is a-spec and only has one form of allo-attraction. For example, one might be aceflux, greyromantic, aplatonic, and frayaesthetic, while also being bisensual (which is a form of allo-attraction). Mono-spec can also be called monospec.

Hey, so I was wondering: I know there's a couple of tertiary attraction-based orientations. One, do any of the mods know where one could go to find a list of this identities? I don't really know any beyond the aplatonic-spectrum and alterous attraction. Two, can someone identify as both apl-spec and alterous, or do those identities seem antithetical to each other? Thank you. I hope the mods are having a good day.
This link has a list of various tertiary attractions and related words. Generally, the only ones people would actively discuss or define would be aplatonic-spec, or sometimes also aqueerplatonic-spec, but you can apply the prefixes to any type of attraction to make whatever words best suit you. I identify as demiplatonic, but the bundle of attractions I feel in a demi way includes others, so that demisensual, demialterous, etc. would also be accurate. I also use the word frayaesthetic to describe how I experience aesthetic attraction, so generally, you can just make whatever terms work for you.
I don’t think identifying as apl-spec and alterous are at all antithetical. I’m apl-spec and sometimes experience attraction that I could consider alterous. Certain types of attraction aren’t a prerequisite for being able to experience other types of attraction, they can be experienced independently, so you can feel alterous attraction without feeling platonic attraction.

Two part answer because I have DID.
We collectively are:
genderfluid - a non-fixed gender identity that shifts over time or depending on the situation
sapphic - an umbrella term that includes lesbian, bisexual, and pansexual trans femmes, mascs, nonbinary folks, and cis women
a-spec - an umbrella term for anyone who identifies on the asexual/asensual/aplatonic/anaesthetic/afamilial/aromantic (etc.) spectrum(s)
xenogender - a gender that cannot be contained by human understandings of gender
I (Ash) am:
lesbian - non-man attracted to non-men
agenderfluid - in which one is fluid between agender and its spectrum
(I'm a paradox because I'm every gender and no gender at the same time)
omniaspec - someone who is a-spec in every attraction
aegosexual - enjoying consuming sexual content but not desiring sex yourself
(I like reading smut for the intimacy but the idea of having sex myself is repulsive)
demisensual - only experiencing sensual attraction (a desire for non-sexual physical contact) after a specific bond has been made
demiqueerplatonic - in which someone only experiences queerplatonic attraction after forming a deep bond/connection with someone
caedfamilial - where one feels like their allofamilial attraction disappeared or changed to either strictly afamilial or afaspec due to trauma
neuroplatonic - when your neurodivergent condition affects your platonic attraction
polyamorous - the practice of, or desire for, romantic relationships with more than one partner at the same time
(I would be okay dating one person but I'd prefer to be in a polyamorous relationship)
cupioromantic - someone who doesn't feel romantic attraction but desires a romantic relationship
stargender - a xenogender in which one's gender is or is like a star
mittgender - a xenogender for when one's gender is influenced by a feeling of cosiness and warmth
gendersea - a gender that is vast sea of caverns and depths yet to be discovered
gendervoid - referring to the sense that there is “an empty space,” a void, where a gender identity would be
astralgender - a gender that feels connected to space
deathcute - a xenogender that feels like death, darkness, horror, and monsters – but in a wholesome way that is also endearing, comforting, beautiful, and whimsical
caelgender - an aesthetigender identity in which one's gender is largely focused on space-related things such as stars, aliens, planets, galaxies, and/or black holes
greyalterous - when alterous attraction is experienced infrequently
frayaesthetic - attraction that fades as one gets to know the individual they're attracted to
disclaimer: I copied and pasted the definitions from Google/Reddit
in honour of pride month, im starting a tag game! if you feel comfortable, share your labels and what they mean! if you dont label yourself/dont know the correct labels for yourself, you can just describe yourself instead :)
its important for us in the lgbtqia+ community to remember that, while a lot of us just sit under the 'gay' or 'queer' umbrella when talking about ourselves, many of us use labels that are more precise, but feel we cant share our full selves with others because its 'too much' or 'too confusing'. yknow that tiktok sound where one person describes a long complicated coffee and the other just says 'tea'? share your complicated coffee!! be your full selves!
to start us off, im abrosexual and genderfluid (flags in my pfp)! i use they/she/he pronouns. abrosexuality is a fluidity of sexuality, which in my case means that my sexuality fluctuates in tandem with my gender. so, when im feeling more fem/genderless, i only really find myself romantically attracted to non-men, but on more masc days i might have some romantic attraction to someone of any gender. some days, i have no romantic attraction at all, no matter what my gender presents as. my sexual attraction fluctuates too, but less in relation to my gender identity. it also holds no correlation to my romantic attraction.
reblog and tag to share!! np tags: @my-castles-crumbling @starmanbutitsregulusblack @siriuslygay1981 @icarus-last-fall and an open tag!! if you see this, youre officially invited to share!! no matter what your sexuality/gender identity is, this is a safe place to share it! <33
