Someone asked how Franz knew a blackbird is female and it went "es braun?" (it brown?) which was so fast, it swallowed the verb.

Another bone to pick with Eremika.....
You know when you really think about it, Eremika fans may be some of the most selfish people in the Attack on Titan fandom.
Oh I still hold Gabi Braun's fans to be the absolute worst, who seem to legitimately think it's wrong to hate on her in any capacity.......But the fans who even now are still so desperately needy for Mikasa and Eren to have their "happy" ending really never stop to understand how much such an ending simply would NOT have been earned.
As I've said in the past, Eremika is unquestionably abusive on Eren's side. Mikasa was nothing but loyal to him, to a very unhealthy degree in fact, and he never treated her with any affection reflective of either the love of a partner or of the adoptive stepbrother he was supposed to have been. Even if Eren was putting on a show with that "I've always hated you" speech, it's baffling why anyone would want them to still be together after such a cruel renouncement of their bond.
But what's REALLY selfish? Think of all the other characters who deserved a happy ending but DIDN'T get theirs:
Sasha Braus, anyone? Marco Bott?
Hange and Levi? Hell, Levi and Petra?
Seriously folks, how can ANYONE think Levi's was a fitting end for someone who had lost everyone he held close, and was left broken and alone with no clear path forward? It's a pitiful sight seeing what humanity's strongest soldier was reduced to.
Jean? What's his story? Connie, what's his story? Armin?
Historia and Ymir? Ymir lost her shot at a new life, and let's be real, Historia didn't marry that farmer asshole out of genuine love, if he is in fact her husband.
Marlowe and Hitch? Miche Zacharius? Hannah and Franz? Nile and his daughters? Keith Shadis? DAMN NEAR EVERYONE?
The list goes ON and ON.
So many characters who deserved a happy ending. And the fandom mourns for the mass murderer who didn't get laid with the girl he continually pushed away and forced into an impossible situation?
Eren died a virgin. You think I'm fucking mourning?
Come to think of it with that in mind, Gabi fans are really selfish since they actively rubbed it in our faces that she lived, having been literally carried through the story by egregious plot armor. But I digress.
Eremika fans got their priorities backwards. Not just for trying to preserve an intensely toxic unbalanced attraction, but because apparently that's a greater loss than all who died unnecessarily because of Eren's vast manipulations.
I know this is not an attitude that applies to all Eremika fans. But to the ones who are still mourning over this......
Eren Yeager can go get fucked right up the ass straight into ETERNAL DAMNATION like the cunt he is. I ain't mourning for that hobo haired bitch, people, why are you?
This story ended with the ocean.

This month, I watched a silly amount of silent comedy shorts because I’m reading Steve Massa’s Slapstick Divas and wanted to sort of watch along. I put together a little list of some of the highlights in case you all are also interested in the women of early silent comedy: “‘Film Comedy’s Eves’ Watchalong”
The next installment of Lost but Not Forgotten is a doozy, but it’ll be up very soon! In the meantime, I made a gifset of a few surviving minutes of A Lover’s Oath (1925).
Other themed gif and still sets I put together this month include:
Out of the Unknown: 1.01 No Place Like Earth (1965)
Tumblr media
Eleven P.M. (1928)
Tumblr media
The Ghost Ship (1943)
Tumblr media
---
For March, I’ve got a little cosplay in the works in addition to the next entry in my LbNF series. So stay tuned!
☕ Appreciate my work? Buy me a coffee! ☕

Places in Poland where my Ancestors Lived
One of the most significant migrations in Mennonite history occurred in the 16th century due to the persecutions perpetrated against the Anabaptists in the Low Countries (nowadays Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg) during the reign of Fernando Álvarez de Toledo, 3rd Duke of Alba. Seeking to live according to their religious convictions in peace, large groups of Mennonites (who would later become known as the Russian Mennonites due to their later migration to the Russian Empire) decided to leave their homelands to settle in the Kingdom of Poland, where freedom of religion had been confirmed by the Warsaw Confederation of 1573.
Having gone through my family tree, I've been able to locate many locations within present-day Poland where my direct ancestors lived. A few notes before going on. I include both the modern Polish name of the location alongside the German name used by the Mennonite settlers (or used by the Prussians after the partitions of Poland). When identifying the relation of my ancestor, the "G" stands for "Great"; for example, G-G-Grandfather would equate to Great-Great-Grandfather. Alongside the name and relation to my ancestor, I have also included the year of their birth. Now, without further adieu.

Adolf Hitler
Adolf Hitler
Adolf Hitler ( 20 April 1889 – 30 April 1945) was an Austrian-born German politician and the leader of the Nazi Party (German: Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (NSDAP); National Socialist German Workers Party). He was chancellor of Germany from 1933 to 1945 and dictator of Nazi Germany (as Fhrer und Reichskanzler) from 1934 to 1945. Hitler was at the centre of Nazi Germany, World War II in Europe, and the Holocaust.
Hitler was a decorated veteran of World War I. He joined the German Workers' Party (precursor of the NSDAP) in 1919, and became leader of the NSDAP in 1921. In 1923, he attempted a coup in Munich to seize power. The failed coup resulted in Hitler's imprisonment, during which time he wrote his memoir, Mein Kampf (My Struggle). After his release in 1924, Hitler gained popular support by attacking the Treaty of Versailles and promoting Pan-Germanism, antisemitism, and anti-communism with charismatic oratory and Nazi propaganda. Hitler frequently denounced international capitalism and communism as being part of a Jewish conspiracy.
Hitler's Nazi Party became the largest elected party in the German Reichstag, leading to his appointment as chancellor in 1933. Following fresh elections won by his coalition, the Reichstag passed the Enabling Act, which began the process of transforming the Weimar Republic into the Third Reich, a single-party dictatorship based on the totalitarian and autocratic ideology of National Socialism. Hitler aimed to eliminate Jews from Germany and establish a New Order to counter what he saw as the injustice of the post-World War I international order dominated by Britain and France. His first six years in power resulted in rapid economic recovery from the Great Depression, the denunciation of restrictions imposed on Germany after World War I, and the annexation of territories that were home to millions of ethnic Germans, actions which gave him significant popular support.
Hitler actively sought Lebensraum ("living space") for the German people. His aggressive foreign policy is considered to be the primary cause of the outbreak of World War II in Europe. He directed large-scale rearmament and on 1 September 1939 invaded Poland, resulting in British and French declarations of war on Germany. In June 1941, Hitler ordered an invasion of the Soviet Union. By the end of 1941 German forces and their European allies occupied most of Europe and North Africa. Failure to defeat the Soviets and the entry of the United States into the war forced Germany onto the defensive and it suffered a series of escalating defeats. In the final days of the war, during the Battle of Berlin in 1945, Hitler married his long-time lover, Eva Braun. On 30 April 1945, less than two days later, the two committed suicide to avoid capture by the Red Army, and their corpses were burned. Under Hitler's leadership and racially motivated ideology, the regime was responsible for the genocide of at least 5.5 million Jews, and millions of other victims whom he and his followers deemed racially inferior.

FESTIVAL STRINGS LUCERNE
Tumblr media
EASTBOUND
