Just saw a dude sitting at a cafe and he looked like Wonho from the top and I was starstruck. Man had free trunks for arms. Then he stands up…chicken legs.
Why are men like this
mostly because they don't do legs. i don't get it? like why would you wanna look disproportionate? i want them to show me where exactly did arnold, frank zane, tom platz, mike menzer and franco columbo not do legs because folk who are top heavy love to preach about the golden era but then..... look like that.
(bonus points if they're on gear. always kills me)

WHAT WAS PROPOSED VERSUS WHAT WE GOT: '80s SWORD & SORCERY EDITION.
PIC(S) INFO: Spotlight on concept art for a Pictish scout and/or warrior, artwork by the late, great Ron Cobb for the "Conan the Barbarian" (1982) live-action adaption, plus actor Franco Columbo in a somewhat less than impressive "Pictish" final product.
As much as I still enjoy the '82 "Conan" film, for better or worse, it's stuff like this live-action Pictish character that I find lacking and cornball to no end. The dude looks like he's rocking an afro, too (FFS!), what's up with that?! Lastly, he doesn't look nearly savage or wild enough, either, and I find the finished product utterly riduculous-looking to this day. There, I said it.

Top 5 TV series to keep you entertained through this heatwave:
1. The After Party (Apple TV) A modern millennial whodunnit comedy set over the course of one night at a high school reunion and, you guessed it, the after party! The assemble cast is great. I don't typically love a Franco, but you're supposed to think he sucks, so it works. Ilana Glaser is adorable as always and I love this role for her. Ben Schwartz gets a musical episode and overall really shines as more than a John Ralphio 2D type character, even though I also adore when he does that as well! Tiffany Haddish has some incredible lines as the detective and without giving too much away, each character gets a backstory episode and I really love how they do this! Sam Richardson and Zoe Chao are popping up everywhere together (eh hem Senior Year on Netflix!) and I loved seeing their faces together again in this. They are super adorable in this will they, won't they dynamic. Go put it on and you'll definitely want to binge till the end to solve the mystery!
#theafterparty #ilanaglazer #benschwartz #tiffanyhaddish #samrichardson #zoechao
2. High Desert (Apple TV) Patricia Arquette plays Peggy, a Pioneertown actress turn private eye who after the death of her mother played by Bernadette Peters, is making her way in the world in gorgeous vintage westernwear and 70's sunglasses with a wonderful dead-pan sense of humor. I could pretty much watch Patricia Arquette do anything, and this series allows just that! You won't expect where it's going and to me this series is the perfect tone. The other casting is fantastic as well. Matt Dillon plays her ex and Christine Taylor plays her sister! It's wonderfully written, hilarious, and between the desert back drop and vintage prints I was so satisfied with how good and visually appealing this show is! Sad story that is didn't get renewed, but maybe we can start a petition to bring it back because I really want to see how this story evolves. If that doesn't work, I will happily rewatch this season since I found it to be really outstanding!
#highdesert #patriciaarquette #bernadettepeters #mattdillon #christinetaylor
3. Poker Face (Peacock) I know, I know, another mystery show and this time a role Jessica Fletcher would be jealous of? Natasha Lyonne's Poker Face is downright brilliant! She is so fun to watch as she interacts with tons of characters (including Judith Light) on her road trip or escape from which mountain? Not to give any spoilers, we'll just say she's driving a vintage car and each episode is kinda a different storyline. There is some continuity between the episodes but they all kinda stand on their own as well. I really liked this about it. It harkens back to the days of Murder She Wrote, Columbo, and maybe even 21 Jumpstreet! Her character, Charlie Cale's vintage looks are all so sweet and I really appreciated her wardrobe as it pertains to each new storyline. The acting is a real treat and you'll definitely want to pack snacks for this little roadside adventure.
#pokerface #natashalyonne #judithlight #murdershewrote
4. The Horror of Dolores Roach (Amazon Prime) This series has the tiniest bit of a slow start, but the promise of a Cyndi Lauper cameo plus an original song on the soundtrack made me stick with it and I'm so glad I did! This show is super original with has a wonderfully dark sense of humor. Dolores, played by Justina Machado is recently out of prison and uses her "magic hands" as a masseuse to land on her feet. The character Luis, comes us with creative ways to solve their problems and should be creepy from the start but comes across endearing as a real testament to the likability of the actor Alejandro Hernandez. I really loved seeing how this story evolved throughout the season.
#thehorrorofdoloresroach #doloresroach #justinamachado #alejandrohernandez #cyndilauper
5. Survival of the Thickest (Netflix) Michelle Buteau is a mood and her world is where I want to live all summer long! This show is a wonderful watch in every way! Michelle is so funny and the story is poignant while remaining silly and very rewatchable. I'm already starting it for the second time. My favorite episode is the last one, due to the beautiful story arc, so I'm just gonna have to watch them all again to get there! I'm so glad this series came out this summer. It is such a lovely tribute to friendship, working hard, having integrity, and above all fun! We need all the queer joy we can get right now! Thank you Michelle Buteau!

The Most IMPORTANT Person in Arnold Schwarzenegger's Life #arnoldschwarz...
youtube
He's out of shape he's old they're talking about training partners and it is a bunch of analogies but this one is a Mac who is causing a lot of trouble and it's not columbo but it's Hawthorne and he's training Schwarzenegger and everybody and it's a disaster we need him out and we need him out of our face and he's doing something that are wrong very wrong but this is what they're saying that's what's n***** has to get in shape and they're saying the Mac body is not in shape and they're not and they keep talking about the Glory Days and they're actually remodeling the good old days and Schwarzenegger is happy about it because he's out front and he says the what coyote X2 it's in the fast and furious so he says spy racers and he almost hurt it and he didn't and he said fast and furious so he saw it and he sees it says no way it's going to be on the Kia. And he's saying it they're going to try and get him this and screw around with him Non-Stop and they're going to do it for real and they know that they're going to be over there all sorts of stuff is occurring to him that they were talking about it and they were talking about out loud on the street the one place in particular was like a cross from the Asian embroidery area and his like saying it out loud and it was horrible they're very mean and they're trying to blame Asia and our son said it probably is but okay then they said what do you mean I said you're blaming them and it's kind of their way and it is their way and they said holy s*** it's not it's not Kung Fu it's judo and they looked it up and says use their own weight against them and their own plans and their own mind and they start to s*** their pants a little and they found out our son knows what he's talking about that didn't help them any and I don't know what's negative lift it up and said good Christ we don't know anything and Brian is horrified. And it's going to go like that right now we have a lot of issues and we have to get to them but this means a lot of things
-the Mac proper are issuing this Arnold Schwarzenegger articles all the time now it's an order for Mac proper to get their body in condition meeting their arms armament facilities personnel numbers capabilities and all of that to prime form. Competition form and number one they say Mr universe
-it's an analogy to our son and to Ken who's very dangerous person and our son knows it he might become Ulysses S Grant and I don't want to ride in a wagon?? And we say okay but you're going to own one. And it's a disaster no but there's going to be several things like that but there's more
-it's like Father and son and he is going to be Schwarzenegger and we're going to be training him and they're saying right now he's a fat out of shape middle age guy and they want him to get in shape but they don't want to do much in the same with Schwarzenegger they wanted to be effective at what they want him to do and that's what Franco Colombo is there for and they say that's going to be what Ken is up to and that's what the clan used to do when they had power but they're going to supplement and try and confuse him they did that to Colombo a bit and you found it a little but they did it. These are the major ones there's a whole bunch of other ones and you can see them in the gym and it looks very weird it's kind of breathtaking when our son figures it out he said that they're sending this out and I seen it a bunch and they keep mentioning Arnold Schwarzenegger and keep sticking in my face over and over and yeah it's too many times so here we are looking at it

Vamp Watch: Daughter of Dracula (1972) Watched: 09/04/2023 Format: BluRay Viewing: First Director: Jess Franco If the 1970's brought us anything in cinema, it was sexy vampires. I mean, there's no shortage before. Ask me about Brides of Dracula. But by the time we got to the 1970's, we had moved into a weird twilight zone of art film/ exploitation film/ horror film where nudity was rampant and sex was not just implied in knowing cut-aways. As far as I know, of the Jess Franco movies, I'd only ever seen Vampyros Lesbos. And, somewhat (in)famously, Franco was one of the foremost purveyors of cheap, wandering "horror" films that bordered on a Cinemax late-night entry and what cable would play on weekends in the 1980's while also absolutely existing as in-no-way-scary horror films. The movie is one of five directed by Franco in 1972 alone. Whatever the market was, it was quantity over quality, and I suspect few scenes were actually scripted or anyone really did much to prep for the movies after getting a set of fangs, a Dracula cape and a location. The movie uses a lot of 1970's film language, from racking focus into a scene (usually onto some natural object) and lots of lingering shots of people walking and not saying much. The basic set-up here is that Luisa Karlstein (Britt Nichols - aka: Carmen Yazalde) returns home to see her dying mother, who tells her where the key is to a family tomb, says there's an unspeakable horror there, and then immediately keels over. Apparently ready for unspeakable horror as long as you look fantastic, Luisa heads into the tomb where she is immediately made into a vampire by Dracula, who has been locked down there for some time. Townswomen begin getting killed, a detective who really wants to be the love child of Columbo and Maigret, shows up and "Jefferson" (Franco looking like a dopey hipster) keeps telling everyone its vampires, and no one will buy it. In between, there's lots of stuff like people playing pianos, a half-assed investigation, and Luisa making it with her friend, Karine (Anne Libert). The movie wants to borrow from the novel Carmilla, but is clearly someone jotting down some ideas they liked in Hammer movies, not least of which was The Vampire Lovers and, even less like Lust For a Vampire, seeing what they could get away with not worrying about British certificates. Like a lot of these movies, they use long takes to fill time and a wandering, semi-incoherent plot and suggest "it's dreamlike!" and maybe it is. Maybe more like a real wandering, semi-incoherent dream than what we think of as "dreamlike" in most films. Anyway, I won't go too far down the rabbit hole of these movies, but I figured being a little conversant in them couldn't hurt, and I picked this one as it seemed to want to be Carmilla, so I'd have a basic structure to compare it to. But it really isn't that. BTW: their Dracula is just a guy who never does more than sit up in a coffin and eventually have a nude woman tossed on top of him. Some days on a film set are just odd. https://ift.tt/bzt7rDn via The Signal Watch https://ift.tt/HUinMml September 05, 2023 at 08:31PM

The Progression of Bodybuilding in My Own Life
What do Arnold Schwarzenegger, Franco Columbo, and Lou Ferrigno all have in common? They were professional bodybuilders.
Disclaimer: I am speaking about natural bodybuilding throughout this article. That is, bodybuilding free of steroids and drugs.
There is something so inspiring and motivating about a person who dedicates their life to transforming their body.
