One of the key components of off-page SEO is link building. This entails acquiring high-quality backlinks from reputable websites to your own site. Search engines view these links as votes of confidence, indicating that your content is valuable and trustworthy.

Thread: What's with all the Timon bashing?

Well, after I sat in front of my computer for a while, thinking, I finally decided to write an answer to this, even though I did not want to first. This fuss because of me is just half a year old and I just wanted to leave all that behind me, as well as posting here, since all I earned were snortgiggles and misunderstanding, at least from most of the people. Now, before another round of ‘bash Atimon’ will start, I’d like you to read my answer first, since I’ve tried to explain my point of view as factual as possible. AND furthermore I would ask people not to start another drama here because of my answer. Thank you.
I agree with the others, Kalahari, I haven’t seen any Timon-bashing lately, so this is in fact also a miracle to me why you come up with this just now, so I would like to know what you are refering to exactly, too.
Where I indeed do not agree is when it comes to statements like ‘I’ve never seen any Timon-bashing (here) at all’. I just needed five minutes and the search function to find most of the statements which once were postes here, without any mod or somebody else saying something against it. Let me give you the examples I’ve found – of course anonymous:
I DEPISE Timon, i hate the way he's always mean to his 'best friend' and Disney try to make him too funny.
I've seen SP hate and TLK3 hate and Timon and Pumbaa hate, […]I HATE TIMON. SO MUCH. He is so unbelievably ANNOYING and he drives me mental when I watch TLK, whenever I see anything Timon-ish I feel like screaming. He seriously drives me absolutely crazy, he's so stupid and annoying! x_X
I don't really care for 'Timonaholic' because I hate Timon anyway. Harr.
I use Bugs (talking about the Board skin here) because it's bright. But I hate Timon.
To give you a few more examples, I can tell you that I’ve found several pictures on TLKFAA where Timon is squished under feet, for example, and – an example I’ve mentioned here several times by now - when TLK 1 1/2 came out I remember a big fuss about how deeply people actually hated Timon (and Pumbaa), when it was clear that the movie would be more or less a Timon-movie, instead of a LION King movie. Many people – most of them lion fans of course – ran up the walls, shouting out how much he’d suck and how bad the movie would be, even though it wasn’t out yet.
Yes, I can understand if most of you think ‘Yeah, and you can take things way too petty’ now, but I am registered on several TLK Boards now and there I’ve never seen a statement like these - except on the other board when the third movie came out, and believe me, I did not sit there, saying nothing, I also added my five cents over there, since in my opinion it was not very considerately towards the Timon (and sidekick) fans.
Yes, people always interpret things differently, and especially on the internet, where you only get written answers, but the accentuation is missing, so you never really get if someone is just joking, talking in irony, ect. immediately. But, as for me, I can tell you that I think that words like ‘hate’ or ‘despise’ are very strong words. If someone uses those expressions, I am quite sure about what he or she wants to express. If someone writes ‘I don’t like Timon, because he is so’..whatever…let’s say…’selfish’ - no problem, I can live with it, maybe I’d ask the person why he/she sees it that way, but that’s it. I also always try to use the phrase ‘I don’t like xy’ insteasd of words like ‘hate’ or ‘despise’ when it comes to TLK characters – if I ever used another phrase, then excuse me for that.
What you should keep in mind is that people are different, people look at statements like these differently. While another Timon-fan would say, ‘ok, let them write stuff like that, I more feel sorry for them instead of being upset about it’, I feel hurt, or let’s say at least in a way attacked. Yes, I know your argument, Scape, Timon is not real, no one of the TLK characters is. But again we are talking about people and that they see things differently.
That I like Timon very much should not be a secret any more and I want to point out that for me – and maybe other Timonfans – he is more than ‘just a Toon’. We are all aware of the fact that they are non-existant, but to us they mean a bit more than just a drawn and animated thing running over screens. Why are people drawing fanart? Why are people writing fanfics then?
Because they are fascinated about the characters, because they like them, interpret their behaviour and try to use their imagination when it comes to different situations and how the character would react then. Because they think they are more than just a ‘dead’ thing on a DVD. Of course, there are also people which ‘just’ watch the movie, ‘just’ draw a few pics, ‘just’ write something, because they watch the movie now and then, but that’s it. I have seen many boards where at least one time the thread ‘how big of a TLK fan are you?’ appeared and just in those threads you can see how differently people think about it. Please don’t just throw all the fans who think or feel a bit more about a Toon character in a drawer with ‘Crazy’ written on it. Other people collect Yu-Gi-Oh cards or love their cars so much that they wash it every day – everyone has something that is important to him/her. And especially here, on a TLK board I think it could be possible to leave blatant expressions like ‘hate’ or ‘despise’ out of here when it comes to the other TLK characters. I think it is sad enough that many sidekick-drawing artists are not getting that much attention than the lion-drawing artists do – and no, I am not again talking about me and my wish to take over the world domination, but about some other artists I’ve talked to who feel the same. I don’t know, did you ever realize that there’s not sidekick in the top 50, but two unicorns instead? Did you ever see an entry showing one of the sidekicks winning the contest? I didn’t, if I should be blind, please let me know.
I’m not quite sure here, but I could imagine that many Timon/Sidekick fans see that as a ’kind of bashing’, but in this case it indeed just depends on the imbalance of fans and what they are voting for.As for Kiara, I have realized that she gets ‘bashed’ a lot more, I am not blind, and in this case I also feel sorry for her/her fans. I mean, she belongs to this movie, too, she might not be perfect, too, she might be giggling a lot and Timon might be annoying and still, that’s how they are meant to be and both are part of a trillogy that made us come together here, that made us drawing and sharing fanart and fanfics. If I always get quite angry about peoples’ statements, if I write out again and again, people should stop ‘bashing’ Timon, then just because I upsets me, because I cannot understand why people can think of such a special character that way. I know, you cannot always be ‘everybodys’ darling’, but at least a bit thoughtfulness might be a positive solution here. [Smile]
Wouldn’t that be an idea for a contest? Draw the character you most dislike, showing a positive side of him. I guess the results could be very interesting.. =)
Oh well, but however, I am again writing too much, so I’ll better stop here. x)
I just hope I was able to give you an understanding of the way I feel about it in a way that won’t provoke another escalation. Well, we’ll see… *hides *

Unnecessary addition of my memories of the ARG (which are probs a big scrambled but oh well)
Basically this guy buys this game and oooo it’s haunted there’s this like fucky wacky statue thingy following him or some th ing?? Bc he like drowned link idk. It’s pretty boring tho tbh compared to what happens next bc now all of a sudden there’s a real world cult and they’re called Moon Children and they’re talking abt killing one of the members or something and this is where it actually becomes an ARG as opposed to forumposting abt Legends of Zelda. The name doesn’t actually come from drowning Link, it comes from a cult member who previously died via - what else!! - drowning, and his name was Ben and I think his soul is in the game or something now?? And that’s where I remmeber it ending but I might b wrong
^ me shocked that normal people don’t know ben drowned lore

Tumblr forumposting: ear realignment surgeries?
So, I’m a proud dwarf, but unfortunately my dwarfism makes me appear very childlike, which is endlessly frustrating and has led to some serious insecurities about not being taken seriously, which has happened a lot.
My ears sit very low on my face, and I was wondering if there are surgeries that could somewhat correct the alignment? I’ve mostly found ones that correct ear shape or protrusion, not placement.
Any information is appreciated. Thanks Tumblr.
[Disclaimer under the cut.]
At this point, I only want information, so any comments or reblogs which only exist to talk me out of this are not helpful to me. I have NOT decided on a course of action yet and I block very liberally, so be warned.

Forum submission is one of the most conventional, yet effective, ways to generate backlinks that are necessary for boosting blog traffic and page ranking. It falls under an Off-Page SEO where you build a relationship with other forum members and take an active part in the discussions and help them with useful information. Most of the bloggers who start from scratch, get intimidated by the SEO tips and techniques required for blog growth, but the reality is not as scary as it seems. With little hard work and consistency, you can make your blog grow in no time. This is a gradual and steady process that needs constant learning and modification throughout your blogging journey.
