This is my portrait of Dr. Frederick A. Simeone, MD, commissioned by historic Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. I did a series of studies before starting the portrait to insure that I could get the best possible likeness of the doctor.

Dr. Simeone, now retired, was a neurosurgeon, who in conjunction with Dr. Rothman, wrote a book titled ‘The Spine’, which has been the definitive text on the subject, used by medical colleges across the globe.

Dr. Someone is also the founder of the Simeone Foundation, which houses and displays the largest collection of professional race cars in the country. Pictured by his side, is a model of his prized Alfa Romeo, an award winning race car that had been ordered stolen by Adolf Hitler. After WWII, when the title was cleared, he acquired the car for his extensive collection.
