Thinking about making an AU for post-epilogue Metaphor where Louis survives but he's forgotten most of the events of Metaphor, or at least the context.

Lying in a field, with a blue sky hanging over him. Confused and lost. Having fuzzy and vague memories of what happened but still unsure of what they mean. Wandering through a world where after years of rebuilding and reworking the system that Euchronia was in for eons.

What would it be like for Will and the crew to re-encounter an amnesiac Louis? What's it like for them to see Louis, an object of their hate, but have Louis feel practically no animosity towards them except for the vague memories he held onto?

Ok, I still believe Kai was the main medic, but Zane would constantly help him and could do it all on his own after a while. But since Kai died, Zane had to step into the role of team medic. He never encroached on Kai's job unless the man was unavailable or needed to be patch up himself, so taking over the job of medic felt weird. He feels as if he is replacing Kai, and absolutely hates it.

When Yoko and Kai first meat the ninja, he is weak. His jaw is tied shut with metal wire, and much like crocs when their jaws are held shut, he doesn't have the power to open his jaws enough to melt the metal. Zane manages to help him and while suspicious, he leads the ninja back to his cave. Zane is the first ninja to earn his trust, and when Yoko expresses she wants to go with them, Kai agrees. They end up going to the monastery and Kai stays in the old dragon stables. Yoko still sleeps with her dad though, she is a daddy's girl.

Some more info, Kai actually has two kids! Yoko, and the dragon he is sharing a body with. I haven't named his son yet, but he is often disassociating. Sadly, without Kai taking care of their body, he would have died. He mostly sits with Kai as they go about their day, not really wanting to control his own body. Strangely, he is much happier with Kai running things, but he is slowly driving their shared body more! I'll draw a pic of the two of them at some point so you can see their dynamic.

(I can never stick to a draw drawtober list. Have two or three including one i made for myself, but due to an inconsistent schedule, I'm just going to try to draw as much as possible until my next shift.)

quick question! is there a connection between color and a camera, whether it's a headcanon or canonically stated somewhere, since i've seen a couple of artworks with him taking pictures

It’s just a headcanon.

It’s a very popular headcanon that Color’s complex trauma surrounding having his entire existence erased, forgotten, and replaced leads to intense fears of being replaced, forgotten, nonexistent, ignored, overlooked, or alone and abandoned—as he also does canonically fear being alone very very much— has led to him becoming obsessed with leaving reminders of his existence and presence and memory.

Often times he probably panics, dissociates, or gets angry if he feels like he’s being forgotten or ignored—even if it’s as simple as someone refusing to look at him when he’s speaking. Likely needing acknowledgment and reminders from his loved ones that he does still exist and they haven’t forgotten him.

Marking places and items with markers or pencils or even via carving in the pillars of the Last Corridor when in the Void, hoarding things (even unimportant things), obsessively journaling and scrapbooking, marking and keeping track of time a lot, refusing to heal any marks scars or wounds on his body, always having a camera or phone with a working camera nearby to take pictures of just about every memory and experience he has. Likely keeping every single gift someone gives him, and probably taking pictures of said gift to put in a picture album.

And because Color is also commonly HC’d as autistic as well, many also see photography as one of Color’s special interests. On top of that, due to Color’s severe skull injury, it’s possible that he fears forgetting things and people and losing track of time and moments as well—on top of the possible heavy dissociative episodes and how some people have HC’d him to struggle with maladaptive daydreaming, its likely he could struggle with memory loss as well.

I read for the forgotten ones a while ago recently I went back and reread it I still love it

this is for another piece by that same author it’s called spilled ink and it is just as good I tried reading it after I originally read ftfo’s but I got side tracked like three chapters in

I finally got around to reading it and it is so good I had a lot of fun!

This drawing was fun to draw as I haven’t drawn undertale stuff in like three years and my art has changed a lot since then
