I really like resident evil I’ve played most of the games. Who’s your favourite character? Favourite game. And I like catnap!! He looks cool, :).

I love animal crossing, who’s your favourite villager/villager types. I like the dogs and chickens they’re always cute. And I’ve never played Alice in madness but I love the art.

i’ve watched resident evil gameplays as a source of comfort or background noise sometimes, as i enjoy the gameplay (if i play, i will freak out but have fun nonetheless,, all the freedom of running around would lead me to playing for a long time,, T^T !!).

i like miss delight and catnap! i like catnap’s design and how i didn’t notice he had like another design until further into the game how he has this other creepy version of himself and then there’s his original model. the game mechanics are amazing ! i’ve rewatched chapter 3 so many times,,

my favorite villagers in animal crossing are bea, teddy, coco, and punchy! i have more, but those are my ultimate pick. my island is still a work in progress,, but i’m hoping forestcore with a small bit of cottagecore around it (?).

p. s: the plot for alice is AMAZING,, her dark mind vs wonderland itself is interesting and the things she goes through are,, tough, but amazing plot.

So, I like YouTube tours and some of my favorite channels are: - Kyuubi Crossing (check out this one of a Scottish countryside, it’s GORGEOUS) - Lex Play (a mix of speedbuilds, inspiration ideas, and tours) - Reem Crossing (mostly speed builds, but this island’s style is SO MUCH MY JAM, I love the vintage look!) - consolecaito (another mix of tips, tours, speedbuilds, etc.) - Heath Horizons (a bit of a mix, but mostly island tours lately) - Katie on Calla Cove (a mix but LOTS of tours there) If you’re looking for a style, try some various ones out and see if one just smacks you in the face for what you want to do!  I like tours because Pinterest and Instagram and Reddit can make a close cropped photo look amazing, but that doesn’t tell you what it feels like to walk around in it, and I wanted something that was more about flow and overall theme. HOWEVER, if you want more detail oriented inspo, I like some of these places: INSTAGRAM: - #acnhidea will lead you to some of the best posters around TUMBLR: - qr-closet has some amazing stuff and is one of my go-to blogs for new ideas - miss_acnh has some lovely designs (also on insta) - acnhkiosk has more excellent custom designs - omg-acnh has still more yet - vera-crossing does lovely work with her designs (mostly interior stuff but she has some stellar outdoor decorating, too!) You can also do searches for stuff like: - animal crossing interior - animal crossing design and get a lot of inspiration just from checking out what’s available. REDDIT: - The ACNH subreddit can be a lot to scroll through, but it can be fun to check out what’s there and get inspired from some of them! But, honestly, a big one is just Googling for what you’re looking for, like I’m considering building a lavender farm on my island, so I’ll Google “animal crossing lavender farm”, click the images tag, and start browsing.  Same for Pinterest, just type in what you’re looking for and start scrolling! There’s a lot out there and I suggest starting a folder on your computer to save any images that you want to remember later (most people are pretty good at putting their usernames on their caps, so you can find them again later) and skimming through YouTube tours until you settle on what really sparks joy with you and then just experiment, experiment, experiment.  Don’t be afraid to mess up, I have taken down stuff that took me hours to build and my sense of what I want has only grown stronger for it! And also REBLOG ANY CUTE STUFF YOU SEE OR AT LEAST SEND ME A MESSAGE ABOUT IT BECAUSE I AM SO INTO THIS STUFF!!!

Evergreen is a forestcore themed island. There will be no pathing, as it is set in the deep wilderness. It was designed with the idea of getting lost in the woods and wandering around, exploring.

So excited to share Chickadee's DA with you all! Was going to wait and queue up a post for the weekend, but I'm actually going to be on a backpacking trip Friday through Monday with my family and so thought what the heck, I'll just post it now.

Hope you all enjoy visiting and would love to see any pictures you take while doing so! :) Or if you recreate or are inspired by any areas, would totally love to see that too and what you build! Hope some parts of the island can give a few people a creative boost here and there maybe :)

Also wanted to give a quick shoutout to some of the creators whose islands really inspired mine—particularly Toffee on YouTube, elfinfawn on Twitter, and faerlinafields on both those sites. Some of them aren't as active in the community any more, and they've all moved on from forestcore stuff ages ago, but they're awesome creators and definitely big influences on my island so you should totally check them out if you're looking for inspiration!

Excited to just be able to relax on Chickadee now and play the game casually for a bit, tweaking a few areas here and there. And then super excited to tweak it further once we get to fall! I feel like when forestcore was bigger people mostly set their islands to the summer, so I'm actually really excited to see how Chickadee will look in the fall and winter and how the style will work in those seasons :)

1. favourite villagers?

omg i love so many ;-; i’m gonna go for shep, deidre, dobie, daisy, teddy, pippy, whitney and erik as my top favourites for each personality but there’s so many more lol

4. what time is your favourite to play?

i usually play in the evening, i love the sunset. i also love playing in the morning bc of the lighting and the peaceful vibes but i don’t often get to! sometimes i’ll tt to the morning hours tho

19. if your island has a theme, what is it and did you have a hard time picking one?

my island would definitely be classed as cottagecore/forestcore. it’s also inspired a bit by breath of the wild and my favourite studio ghibli movies, especially my neighbour totoro. there’s actually a couple references to those on the island, i don’t know if anyone’s spotted them hehe. i didn’t really have a hard time picking that theme, i’ve always liked my ac experience to be calming and cosy and for my island to reflect that, so it was easy for me to go with that!

Tell us about one of your current hyper fixations and how you got into it!

oh oh oh ohoh it's animal crossing for sure atm!!!!!!

my friend Leo got me into it, i was gifted the game by someone i was friends with, but because i'm no longe friends w that individual i just. wasn't interested, yknow? well leo had it and suggested i come visit his island to jus kinda see what it could be like yknow? and now i spend hours playing it, and i have 6 tabs open currently for journal-related animal crossing things (like 'to do's' for the island, as well as more info about how to crossbreed plants and make hybrids and different trees and islanders and types of fossils in game, and balloons, etc), and i've watched like six videos in the last 24 hours related to animal crossing builds on youtube

once i'm able to, i'm going to create a forestcore island!!!! i'm also saving up so i can make animal crossing DIY's for my irl bedroom because i think that would be so cute and i love it.

i love my two lil villagers so far; i'm procrastinating on building other peoples houses, as i really just like having Plucky and.... i forget my other villagers name :') he's a gym bro tho. i have so many animal crossing related things on my wishlists, and i really really want to - once i have the headspace to - make my phone look like Nooks phone on animal crossing. i'm saving up for the phone case, and i am finding the images to download to edit my menu (note: if you have an android, go to the google store as there's an app that does it for you! unfortunately i have an iphone).

this game is just... i fucking love it i dont have words to describe. it's so good. i wish it was irl.

What drew you to forestcore as an island theme?

I love the woods, and the idea of recreating it in one of my favorite video games was something that I thought would be really fun.
