#ForeignTV http://www.indiewire.com/2016/11/netflix-3-percent-review-season-1-brazil-hunger-games-cesar-charlone-1201750084/ Recently we have talked about British shows vs. American shows. And both countries offer some spectacular options. But have you ever seen any foreign shows outside of American, British and/or your country of residence? I just watched my first yesterday. And I fell in love with the show almost immediately. Netflix original series, 3%, is about the elite 3% who are allowed to live offshore after passing a series of tests. At age 20 you may attempt to become one of the elite, but you only have one chance. And if you fail, you will live in squalor. Forever. It is comparable to The Hunger Games. The show is a SciFi thriller and I am learning that my favorite genres are this and Psychological thriller, which may be the same thing or rather close to it because this show definitely plays with your mind. My questions to you are 1) What is your favorite genre? 2) Does this show sound like something you would be interested in watching or are you already? If so, what do you think of it? And 3) Are there any shows outside of USA, UK, and/or your country of residence that you truly enjoy? I am loving this show and I hope it gets picked up for more seasons. Also, just a side note, Netflix offers under the subtitles tab a languages option. This show was not filmed in English but I was able to change it to hear it in English. "Arang and the Magistrate" is the creative retelling of the classic horror folktale, "The Legend of Arang" – with a dash of comedy thrown into the mix. Against the backdrop of the Joseon Dynasty, the story between Arang, a wronged ghost, and Eunoh, the new magistrate who can see ghosts, is about fate, a truth greater than imagination, and the thin, and often blurred, line between life and death, the real and the surreal.
If you've never watched any Korean dramas before, I'd highly recommend this one. My absolute favorite Korean series to-date.

I call it the Camel Mafia Commercial
As unproductive as it may sound, watching TV in Morocco, or any foreign country is a must! Things are advertised differently because they are being sold to a different culture, soap operas take on a while new meaning of drama, and be leave it of not infomercials can be hilarious. Last night while watching an American action movie, we were assaulted with very wester commercials, slightly tweaked hit very wester…then came the camels It’s a caravan moving through the desert with flashes to two BMW zooming down a lone desert road. Then a secret compartment in the camel load is popped oped by some very slick, suited, beautiful Arab men. God bricks sparkle in the Sarah sun as the are transferred to padded suitcases and entrusted to the even bulkier men of the BMW…”Its just the time to be buying gold!”…or something like that ..probably the classiest most amazing gold commercial, serious improvement from the awful I-made-this-in-my-living-room commercials in the US
