Pomegranate Dress

Inspired by the legend of Persephone, and her consuming a pomegranate aril that led to her spending half the year in the underworld. It was for @joselyn565​‘s wonderful Forbiddentale comic, which can be found here. Highly recommend it!

Originally, it was going to be a traditional Greek dress design, but the idea of a high-neck with arils as beads was so tempting, I had to use it. I didn't assign a hairstyle because the clip can be used for an elaborate hairstyle or to simply pull the hair out of the face, so feel free to place it however it works.

This was a fun challenge. The colors were a lot of fun to play with, and while I'm not really a dress-up kind of person, I enjoy pretty clothes.

Behind the Missive

I don’t even know why I am here but the worst thing is I don’t even know who I am anymore. I guess, that what happens when you slowly realize how complicated the world can be. It’ll twist your mind, break your heart, kill your dreams and leave you with nothing but confusion. I am not your typical writer who is fueled by passion, diligence, direction and creative juices. In fact, I am neither of those. I just love writing about what I feel and think just like right now. I write for myself because I don’t have the courage to share my work with other people. Trust and self-esteem issues, you know. 

I’ve been searching for a platform to store all my content, experiences and opinions simply because I couldn’t contain them anymore. A lot of major events had happened this 2019 alone and I don’t know whom I can share them without anyone judging me. I have a twitter account and I love it there but the word limit is stressing me out. Haha. 

So, these missives are my way of blowing off steam and jotting down whatever that I want to. Again, this is not for an artsy stuff or whatever. It is just solely for me. I hope I can always update every now and then.

Nope. Never heard of it until you mentioned it. Just looked it up and it looks neat though! I don't really read webtoons nor do I spend much time browsing dA content these days. Always gotta love finding more Hades and Persephone content. ^_^

I actually think that Reapertale Chara is supposed to be the Goddess of Chaos. I’m not entirely sure if it’s true, but it is in the comic I read called “Forbiddentale”. And, not only that, but Frisk getting kidnapped was because of Asgore coercing Sans to do so in the first place. And it was actually Sans (who is seen by the other gods as “pure evil” by the way) who immediately questions the fact that he basically gave him the “okay” to kidnap his daughter. Asgore initially passes off as a “joke” only to basically pure pressure Sans into doing so. Also, Forbiddentale Frisk has refused around 5 marriage proposals due to the gods who offered only wanting her for her physical appearance. Sans falls in love with her at first sight too, but it’s not her physical appearance that attracted him. It was actually the fact that she’s kindhearted and benevolent, as opposed to the cruel and malevolent individuals of the Underworld. He was drawn to her purity alone

Umm, that all sounds really cool, really - but do keep in mind that a lot of my headcanons outside of the Undertale universe are based upon my viewings and stories to tell about the universe.

I can’t keep up with all the ‘canon’ stories in the fandom. How I end up writing things about these universes usually is that someone comes to me with an AU and I write the first thing that comes to mind with what I know and I run with it.

I have my own ideas for Chara in my version of Reapertale that are probably largely going to conflict with others’, but I’m okay with that. I came up with the prisoner of the gods scenario, trapped behind a door that leads to a foggy labyrinthine forest with which there is no escape simply because I liked the Lost Woods in Breath of the Wild so much that I wanted to implement something similar in a scenario.

In my version of Reapertale, Sans is a reaper god seen as equal with the rest of the pantheon, although some do regard him as strange and a little cold. Papyrus is also a god, and he’s the one that consoles mourning SOULs reluctant to leave for the afterlife. Frisk, once a mere human, becomes a goddess of springtime.

Chara is regarded as an embodiment of chaos. She is human borne, not a goddess, but she once had worshippers which sort of made her one. But she went against both the gods and humanity, and for her crimes she was sealed away, stuck in a state of limbo between life and death, not one or the other.

I know I’m taking a lot of liberties with the storytelling, but I still think this is fun.

He also kicked Kronos in the jaw while he was traveling to other Aus one of which is Forbiddentale, he also has seen Persephone and Demeter’s reunion during his travels until Kronos returns to get revenge on the Olympians but before he can kill Zeus and his siblings, Alex immediately jumps in and uppercuts him while Kronos punches down him and later Alexandrius completely destroys him.
