Speaking of the Master or thoschei and 70-80s rock, I again have to make it clear just how freaking much Pink Floyd's Wish you were here album fits these two freaks. Like, The Wall, the story of a sensitive man turning into a fascist leader because the safest place you can be is behind your wall, that's the Master's ultimate album. But Wish you were here? with its sorrow and longing for a connection in a lonely crowd, inspired by the friend you watched collapsing into madness while you chose your own path? That's just too insanely freaking fitting. Like, fuck's sake, tell me this is not the summary of everything the Doctor tries to tell the Master:
Remember when you were young, you shone like the sun (You could be so much more. You could be beautiful). Shine on you crazy diamond. Now there's a look in your eyes, like black holes in the sky (fuck's sake RTD you could have given the Master ANY scary sounding toy but you went with BLACK HOLE CONVERTER, as, in the largest stars collapsing in on their own gravity and creating goddamns rifts in time and space that we just figured out must be there even if they mean God is indeed playing dice). Shine on you crazy diamond. You were caught on the crossfire of childhood and stardom, Blown on the steel breeze. [...]
You reached for the secret too soon, you cried for the moon. Shine on you crazy diamond. Threatened by shadows at night, and exposed in the light. Shine on you crazy diamond.
Well you wore out your welcome with random precision, Rode on the steel breeze. Come on you raver, you seer of visions, Come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and shine! [...]
And we'll bask in the shadow of yesterday's triumph (remember the Axons? And the Daleks!), sail on the steel breeze. Come on you boy child, you winner and loser, come on you miner for truth and delusion, and shine
and on the other hand,
And did they get you to trade Your heroes for ghosts? Hot ashes for trees? Hot air for a cool breeze? Cold comfort for change? And did you exchange A walk on part in the war For a lead role in a cage? (tell me this isn't what the Master did when he ran away from the time war and instead tried to create the new Time Lord empire
How I wish, how I wish you were here. We’re just two lost souls Swimming in a fish bowl, Year after year, Running over the same old ground. What have we found? The same old fears. Wish you were here.
Here's the full album on YouTube and also for your gazing pleasures two men shaking hands while one of them is freaking on fire

assigning albums to danganronpa characters but i have only 3, open to suggestions i <3 music
junko enoshima - electra heart by marina
mondo oowada - wish you were here by pink floyd
nagito komaeda - ok computer by radiohead, from under the cork tree by fall out boy
#danganronpa#junko enoshima#mondo owada#mondo oowada#nagito komaeda#btw everyone listen to wish you were here pink floyd rn or else#and my criteria is that basically all/most of the songs match the characters vibe/story and such.#to go into depth. electra hearts goal of being satire and the alternating between multiple characters#and being about teenage agony and self destruction. along with just generally being more pop music with cynical themes#is very junko to me in that sense. also the general fashion and reputation of the album as a bitchy teenage girl angst album#for wish you were here. 'shine on you crazy diamond' is so ??? LIKE COME ON.#sooo many lyrics just match and the . aura of. maybe a sense of responsibility? that was forced onto you. it really makes me think of#his feelings to do with his feelings of responsibility for his brothers death and having to now take care of so many people#and his personal code of honor that puts a lot of pressure on him#for ok computer. just listen to lucky its like so on the nose like actually#'pull me out of the air crash pull me out of the lake i feel my luck could change' LIKE HELLOOOO#you can laugh.... a spineless laugh.... we hope that you choke . makes me think of him and also his murder suicide#and the way the album seems kind of surreal and abstract makes me think of his disconnect from reality and obsessive beliefs and behaviors#and the bizarre and unreal events......#hysterical and useless crushed like a bug in the ground........#fitter happier......#i wonder if id find any more. i need to listen to 8 trillion more albums#edit: just looked at the fandomwiki trivia for mondo. lmao oops. but its still right. SHGSAHGSAGHH#i didnt even know and i came to this conclusion 😭#UPDATE: added futct fob . reasoning is that the bitterness and vengefulness and mix of superiority and inferiority reminds me of#simulation era after he found out abt everyone after the . final dead room or whatever that was called#also just the . tbhhhhh to me he dresses exactly like the warped tour bands in 2005 or whatever. genuinely. so that fits as well#my post

A gem that shines the brightest
bridgerton x sister reader
There are gems that shine like a diamond in the world, that can attract attention even due they might look the brightest at first they soon do shine.
y/n " ......." you are sitting in your room as the rest of your family seem to be gather down stairs ready to leave for the ball. As you were trying to come up with a way to not attend this ball, with the rest of your family. The family you had been born into the brigerton had been well know for their beautiful daughters and handsome son. There had been times when you left like you were out of place, and ton society had made sure you were well know of it as well.
Violet " y/n dearest are you ready for the ball"
y/n " umm mama no"
Violet " dearest what the matter" your mother always the loving and caring mother, had open your bedroom door and came inside.

Antony " it okay sister I will deal with the bill when it comes now, everyone lets leave y/n to get ready" the family soon left the the rest of the maids had came into the room, and helped you get dressed for the ball.
One hour later
Violet " maybe I should go get her maybe she uncomfortable"

Penelope " el and y/n good evening y/n you look so beautiful tonight"
y/n " thank you pen and you look beautiful as well I love the new look"
Eloise " I feel happy for you both this evening this ball might, be good after all"
Penelope " y/n it seems like the gentleman ton seem interested in you"

Eloise " I would keep my choices open sister" the three ladies had gotten some lemonade and were enjoy the drink, along with a good conversation as well.
????? " y/n"
y/n " Tristian you are back when did you arrive home from Scotland"
Tristian " yesterday and my mother had invited me to this ball, more like dragged me here saying it will be good"
Elosie and Penelope " hello Tristan"
Tristian " hello ladies now I have heard you have drawn all the ton attention"
Eloise " yes it seems like my sister has done that Tristan, and the family is happy for her"
Tristian " well I'm happy for her as well may we have a dance y/n if you dance card free"
y/n " I.... "
Eloise " she will love to" Eloise had taken your Lemond glass and Penelope took Tristan glass.
Penelope " have fun"
Tristian " thank you" Tristian had taken you hand and escorted you to the dance floor, soon joining all the other couples as a new song soon began. The pair had started dancing together and it soon felt like, they are the only ones in the world.
Tristian " you look beautiful but you always look beautiful"
y/n " thank you Tristian and you look handsome today, you trip away has done you well"
Tristan " yes I'm home and I might stay a bit longer here, as my uncle aunt along with my mother said it will be good for me to take a break"
y/n " it will be good to have you here"
Tristian " maybe when I'm here I can call upon you for some tea or strolls in the park"
y/n " I will love to if you are fine with me ask you to come with me, and my brother or mother to some opera or museum anything else"
Tristan " I will love to my lady bridergton" you giggle giving Tristian a smile as he spins you around on the dance floor, the young pair looking like the perfect couple.
Violet " is that y/n dancing with Tristian"
Lady Danbury " yes it my friend it seems like your daughter, has found her match"
Antony " normal a brother will go interrupt this dance but I will allow it"
????? " good evening violet, lady danbury, Antony"
Violet " Lady Katherine it seems like your son has asked my daughter for a dance"
Katherine " oh yes he had rush off once he heard word he was here, he was going to see her yesterday when he arrived home but wait until tonight"
Antony " they have been exchange letters while Tristian was away"
Violet " Antony"
Antony " I didn't read them mother I just saw them but it many if you all three which to know .... oh I see a friend of my good evening ladies" Anthony soon left the three women to talk among themselves and watch everything as well.
lady Danbury " my dear friends it seems like your children have fallen in love, and beautiful love story for the books"
Violet " yes they have"
Katherine " I'm happy for my son and your daughter she has done well this year"
Lady Danbury " yes y/n has become a gem that shines the brightest, even due she not named a diamond of the season she is a special gem to many" the two mother had nodded their heads in agreement as the watch, the youth of the ton have a wonderful evening among themselves. You have become a gem that has shine the brightest even if you are not name diamond of the season, you still shined.

THE REAL DEFINITIVE OBJECTIVE PINK FLOYD ALBUM TOURNAMENT- TOP BRACKET WINNER
We've had a lot of upsets coming to this moment, and with a tense Top 4 Winner's Bracket showdown, only two albums remain for the spot in Grands against the TBA Loser's Bracket Winner. Vote now or forever hold your peace :)
Being the championship match for Winner's Bracket, I feel the need to list down some of the reasons I think managed to get The Wall and Wish You Were Here this far. Feel free to add some of your own!
The Wall;
The multimedia aspect of the album, having a live show and film accompanying it, definitely makes this album much more accessible to new fans
The cultural influence both the album and the film has had - the iconography of the hammers, the adoption of Another Brick Pt 2 as a protest song and the more general influence the film has had on many directors over the years can't be understated
Roger fans will likely be out in full force to defend this album
Wish You Were Here;
Despite having beat Piper in Top 4, I imagine this album coming so far will be a consolation prize for the Syd fans, considering the whole album is dedicated to him
The album's main attraction, Shine On You Crazy Diamond, is often praised as one of the best Pink Floyd songs of all time, with a lot of people who are very emotionally invested in seeing it recognised
It's David's and Rick's favourite album innit
Uhh forgot what else to put here, voting is a civil duty idk

Wish you were here
A tribute to Cliff burton ⚒️🎵
Chapter one, shine on you crazy diamond
February 10th 1985,cliffs birthday.
Waking up bright and early,I sneak out of bed to do the last preparations for cliffs birthday,we’ve been together for around a year and we moved in together around a month ago,it’s been nothing but bliss.
I begin to hum a tune “so,so you think you can tell, heaven from hell, blue skies from pain” wish you here by pink Floyd, although the nature of the song, its always reminded me of Cliff, one of our favourite things to do is play it on guitar together. And when he’s on tour,I often find myself singing it softly to him over the phone, while he plays it on guitar.
I’ve brought him the vinyl for his birthday, although he already has it,it’s scratched from years of playing.
I make him breakfast, his favourite, pancakes with extra syrup,as I feel him wrap his big arms around my back. “Where you go” he mumbles into my ear in that groggy morning voice that sends chills down my spine in the best way.
“Making you breakfast in bed,but since you’re already up” i chuckle kissing his bare shoulderblade
“Mhm thankyou sweets” Cliff mumbles sitting down and patting the seat next to him motioning me to sit next to him.
“Damn you went all out huh?” Cliff chuckles as he sees the presents on the table
“Just a little something for my favourite boy” I kiss his forehead sitting down.
“Just you is enough babe, you know that” Cliff kisses me deeply, tasting like the pancakes he’s just eaten. “Can’t get enough of you” he whispers softly
“Open your presents first mr” i chuckle
“Okay bossy boots, but just so you know,im most definitely saving the best present till last…and that is being between your legs for at least 2 hours” he winks
“Clifford!” I laugh and smack his shoulder playfully
“Ow” he playfully pouts,”you’re gonna have to kiss it better now”
I kiss his shoulder and bite it playfully “there! Big baby” I laugh
“All better” Cliff smirks and kisses my lips playfully.
“Which one first?” Cliff says looking at the presents
“It’s your birthday babe,your choice! I chuckle
“Okay okay” Cliff takes a present from the pile, choosing the gift closet to him. He unwraps the paper carefully “omg no way!”
“Figured you haven’t got the latest release yet” I giggle
“I haven’t actually, this is awesome, thankyou sweetheart, you know me too well”. He says flipping through the pages of the first of many horror magazines I got him.
“This will take up all my time on tour” he chuckles kissing me softly on my cheek.
“Can I open another one” he asks
“You’re not a child Cliff,of course you can” I laugh
Cliff opens another present “a new Walkman! Thankyou baby!” Cliff hugs me from the side “I’ve wanted one for ages” he mumbles into my neck “I know” i chuckle and kiss his hairline “I love you so much” he says into my ear. “Love you too sweetheart”
Cliff proceeds to open another present, he gasps when he opens the small box,it’s a necklace, with a silver pendant in the shape of his signature bass guitar, engraved on the back is the words “we’re just to lost souls, swimming in a fish bowl, year after year” Cliff looks over at me with tears in his eyes
“This is the most beautiful present I’ve ever received baby girl, seriously”
“You deserve everything and more” I cuddle Cliff as he wipes a few tears from both our eyes “you’re my girl. Forever and always” Cliff whispers and kisses me deeply.
“Forever” I whisper back
“Got you something else too” I say softly
“Oh baby you are really spoiling me” Cliff chuckles as stand up to find the vinyl I got him
“Here,I know it’s only small but yours doesn’t even play anymore because of how scratched it is” I chuckle
“No way! Thankyou babe,I’ll put it on right now! Cliff pads across the living room to put the vinyl on.
As the first notes to “shine on you crazy diamond” comes through the speakers Cliff takes me in his arms “I love you more than anything, you are my entire existence baby,I love you more than the band, music…my bass, everything” he whispers in my ear as we slowly sway to the sound of pink Floyd echoing through the house.
“Imma fucking marry you some day” he whispers “ just you wait”
After a while of holding each other,we sit down on the couch again,”wanna play our song? Birthday treat” Cliff grins
“Birthday treat.” I agree as Cliff gets our guitars out.
“You better sing too,it’s my birthday in the end” Cliff winks playfully
“Considering it’s your birthday,I guess I could sing it…” I chuckle as I play the opening riff
“You’re so beautiful” Cliff whispers as he waits for the lead part to kick in.
I take a deep breath and play the opening chords,it almost being second nature to me at this point, after two run throughs Cliff joins in too.
“So,so you think you can tell
Heaven from hell, blue skies from pain?…
Can you tell a green field, from a cold steel rail…
A smile from a veil?do you think you can tell?
Did they get you to trade, your heroes for ghosts
Hot ashes for trees, hot air for a cool breeze.
Cold comfort for change? Did you exchange
A walk-on part in the war,for a lead role in a cage?
How I wish, how I wish you were here,
We’re just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year.
Running over the same old ground, and how we found the old fears, wish you were here…
We finish the song with tears in our eyes, looking at each other with ever lasting love, and compassion for each other,”we always compliment each other so well” Cliff says emotionally,”I couldn’t think of anyone else I’d rather spend my life with” he puts his guitar down and the same time as me and we meet in a passion but love filled kiss, his arms wrapping around me as he takes me to bed,the love and desire he has for me so raw and clear to see.
I couldn’t imagine a life without him,and I don’t want ever lose what we have. And yeah,I’m making sure I become his wife some day.
If you made it this far, thankyou🥲 this my first long fic in a longggg time, and I’m making a part two (will be very very sad) I just love Cliff and pink Floyd so much,so I decided to combine the two, came up with this listening to wish you were here and I shed a few tears writing it,hope you enjoy ❤️❤️

Wish You Were Here (1975)
Here are my thoughts on the legendary album Wish You Were Here!
Disclaimer: I have already listened to this album, but haven’t heard it in a long time, so many of my thoughts here are after not listening to any of these songs in a while (which is almost the same as first time listening thoughts)
1. Shine On You Crazy Diamond Parts 1-5
The intro is already amazingly ethereal, gorgeous, and ominous. It reminds me of classical music. The synth makes this intro feel especially haunting and melancholy, already setting the tone of the song. Then the guitar kicks in with an absolutely divine and emotional solo! You can already feel how sad this song is. And then the absolutely iconic and powerful guitar riff kicks in!!! It always sounded like a diamond sparkling, in my opinion, because it sounds so watery, and the chimes add on to that feeling. And then the drums and bass kick in, making the song even better and more badass and devastating. This song honestly feels like a eulogy, with how sad it sounds and with the organ added in. The guitar solos here are also so good before the lyrics kick in (they’re very powerful and emotional). And then it becomes groovy and more downtempo, with the synth here being very lovely!! As well as the drums. And then the lyrics come in, making the song even more emotional. I think the “Black Holes” lyric here is very powerful, as are all the other lyrics in tribute to Syd. You can really hear the pain in Roger’s voice. Man, the lyrics here are so freaking depressing after knowing PF lore… The guitar riff here shortly after the first verse is so good as well. Also, Roger’s and David’s voices here are so lovely and good, especially with how emotionally they sing and harmonize here. The choruses and verses here are especially good. And then we get this absolutely powerful, sultry, and emotional sax solo. The arpeggio guitar riff here is also just so good. And then we get a tempo change, which makes the song really cool as well! (It reminds me of echoes a lot; in fact, this whole composition reminds me of echoes, but even more grand and melancholy.)
2. Welcome to the Machine
The machine intro and transition are very very good and ominous! It sounds very futuristic and kind of like techno music. And then we get a lovely guitar contrasting these synths. Then we get very good and raspy singing from David (with divine background vocals from Roger, at least, I think)! Also, the synths and guitar combo here is so powerful and emotional!!! I love it. The lyrics about conformity and standing out against society here are also so powerful! (The machine here being a metaphor for society, I think.) The melody here is also just so powerful and absolutely incredible. The quick synth solos and riffs here are also so good and really sound ahead of their time! This song really sounds as if it could come out today. I also really like how cold and artificial they sound (as well as emotional, which is an interesting contrast; maybe the emotion is faked?), making this “welcome to the machine” feel very impersonal and depressing. And the choruses here are also just so lovely with Roger’s and David’s harmonies. And then it sounds like a person driving in their car to a party??? Huh, it almost sounds like Welcome to the Machine represents someone going to their soulless job and then going to a party afterward to escape their misery… I also like how this song could be about Syd as well, because of the lyrics about buying a guitar and dreaming of being a big star (well, at one point before Syd hated fame, of course, as we all know). This song surprised me with how good it was (didn’t listen to this song in a while).
3. Have a Cigar
The intro here is just so groovy and sleazy! I love it and how it already tells a story and sets up an atmosphere! Also, the synths here are lovely as well!!! The guitar is especially good!! And then Roy Harper’s vocals come in! Which are very good! I love how he plays the character of a sleazy, money-hungry, and corrupt music manager and how he enunciates certain lyrics here, adding to the vibe and character of this song. The lyrics here are just amazing as well, with how they tell the story of a band trying to make it big and signing a contract. And then David’s really freaking good guitar solo kicks in!! The bass here is also just so good. The instrumentation of every song just feels so grand and full, even better than DSOTM. I also love the sudden shift to a radio station playing the song! Already setting up the next song... and showing how the band that is being talked about here in the lyrics that gets a hit on the radio is Pink Floyd themselves (as well as the lyrics “which one’s pink” as well, of course)! How self aware ;) I also like how this song could connect with the previous song about the band members abandoning their soulless jobs and going against the machine by being in a band (at least in my opinion).
4. Wish You Were Here
And then the absolutely iconic acoustic guitar intro kicks in, played on a 12-string!! It’s very emotional and lovely-sounding. And then the rest of the band kicks in!! Making the song sound even better and more powerful! I adore the mixing here, and every instrument here sounds freaking amazing! The lyrics here are so emotional and hard hitting as well, with the “souls in a fishbowl” verse being my favorite. I also love how powerful the choruses sound here. David’s voice is extremely lovely and vulnerable here! And the guitar improvisations are just so good as well, and David’s vocal scatting instead of a solo is also just so good at the end of the song. Ngl, I almost cried during this song because of how emotional it is…
5. Shine On You Crazy Diamond Parts 6-9
And then we get this very ominous wind transition to the next parts of SOYCD! It kind of reminds me of the transition from One of These Days to A Pillow of Winds from Meddle. The bass suddenly kicks in with the guitar, and the synth orchestra sounds very cool and ominous!!! Also very badass, tbh, and then the drums kick in! Making the song even groovier and more badass here! And the synth and keyboard solo here is just so good as well! The buildup here is just amazing!!! And then we get a groovy, freaking guitar solo here that leads to an amazing tempo change along with a keyboard solo in the background!! This part honestly just goes so freaking hard; it’s amazing! Also love how high the guitar goes here, as if it was screaming in anguish!!! It really shows the guilt and anguish of how PF feels about how they treated Syd! And then we go back to the main part of this song again! The choruses just go so hard here as well!! The lyrics here are just so cool as well! I also love the reference to Wish You Were Here (steel breeze). The guitar arpeggio and keyboard solos here at the end are just so good as well!! Honestly the keyboard solos have to be my favorite part of the SOYCD composition. It just feels so groovy and sad… I don't know how they did that! I also love the funky and screaming guitar/synths here! I honestly like these parts of SOYCD much more than the first few parts… Maybe because the instrumental improvs here are much better here, imo. And then we go back to the intro to the first few parts, which sound much more melancholy here. The piano in this segment is very good and has a sad sound. The last part almost sounds like a melancholy waltz imo, and you can really feel the emotion of saying their last goodbyes here with these ending parts. It's almost like a eulogy. And then the ending here has a reference to See Emily Play, making it an even sadder and bittersweet ending and tribute to Syd… If I wasn’t so focused on writing down my thoughts, I probably would’ve cried at this song (and more songs on this album in general).
In general, I absolutely adored this album! I definitely like this better than DSOTM, since every song here is just so grand and well done instrumentally and lyrically, with there being no filler (even more so than on DSOTM). I also just like how more emotional, powerful, and personal this album sounds in comparison to DSOTM. It almost made me cry… This album just also feels more digestible and cooler to me than DSOTM, and I like its futuristic sound a lot more than Dark Side’s sound. Not to mention that I absolutely adore every song on here, which is why I didn't mention a favorite song here since I think all songs here are equally amazing and perfect. Next time I'll listen to this, I'll probably be crying at all the songs (but I couldn't this time since I was focused on writing down my thoughts). This now has to be my favorite PF album, with Meddle coming in at a close second, and Dark Side being spot number 3. Next up is Animals, an album I’ve never heard before! I’m excited to see how that will turn out.

...holy shit that... um...
Wow, that's like THE question to ask me, seriously, and that means a lot that you decided to ask. You just gained some SERIOUS brownie points with me omg
So... this is kind of a difficult question, because one album is what got me into Pink Floyd and is probably more deserving of the title of my Favorite Pink Floyd album, while the other is an album that I vocally declare as not only my favorite Pink Floyd album, but my Favorite album of ANYTHING OF ALL TIME
So... y'know... it's a bit of a toss-up.
But it's between The Dark Side of the Moon, the cover of which I have tattooed on my chest, the prism angled in such a way so that the beam of light goes directly into my heart...
And The Wall, which was my first EVER Pink Floyd experience, introduced the music to me, and thrust me VIOLENTLY into my love of this band with bombast and gusto.
And by the way, I DO NOT recommend The Wall as your first album, because it is a DEEPLY emotionally challenging experience, incredibly emotionally raw, and has been known to cause panic attacks and bad trips.
Most people get into Pink Floyd for the first time with the easy listening of Dark Side of the Moon, which is both soulful and smooth while also subtle and experimental.
I went in RAW and got
"EMOTIONAL ISOLATION CAN TURN PEOPLE FASCIST AND IT CAN HAPPEN TO YOU!!!
Either way, I have listened to both albums AT LEAST 200 times... EACH.
I have both those albums MEMORIZED, and at one point decided to sing the opening of The Wall to myself... only to find myself having sung the entire album an hour and 12 minutes later.
If I want to recommend someone listen to Pink Floyd for the first time, every time I suggest Dark Side of the Moon. It is the QUINTESSENTIAL Pink Floyd experience, and is more than likely the thing most people cite as causing them to fall in love with their music.
But if I'm gonna be honest... I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for The Wall, because it was MY first experience; stoned out of my mind at midnight in a Laser Floyd planetarium show. I'd never seen or heard anything like it before, and I instantly fell in love. It spoke deeply to me on a level no music has before or since.
Like, I'd listened to songs that flowed seamlessly from one track into another, but I'd NEVER seen it done on the level of the ENTIRE album! It's something I'd genuinely never heard before, or since.
My favorite track off of Dark Side of the Moon is Us and Them, and off The Wall... kinda tough to say. Comfortably Numb was one of my first ever favorite Pink Floyd songs period, but The Trial is such a fun one to sing and also Hey You is a really good one... I also find myself coming back to Mother and Goodbye Blue Sky a lot...
After I listened to Dark Side and The Wall, I also checked out the other two albums of Pink Floyd's prime age: Wish You Were Here and Animals. I deeply adore those albums as well. The context of Wish You Were Here breaks my heart whenever I give a listen to Shine On You Crazy Diamond, and Animals has an angry punk energy that I really enjoy, my favorite track off that one being Dogs (their 3rd longest track at a WHOPPING 17:43)
I also checked out some of their other albums and have a particular affinity for Atom Heart Mother and The Final Cut. Also Meddle has the MAGNIFICENT track Echoes, holy shit, I could talk about Pink Floyd all goddamn day.
And holy shit, this doesn't even TOUCH on The Wall, the movie...
...so, uh... hope that answers your question XP

Mockingjay and the Miner
A Hunger Games AU Playlist for Obiyuki Bingo 2023 by @snowwhite-andtheknight
After a few songs with general Hunger Games vibes, I chose songs with coal mine and childhood crush references that are mostly from Gale’s point of view (with some Katniss trauma in there too). Similarly to how I like both Zenyuki and Obiyuki, I also like both Hunger Games ships for different reasons, but Gale fits better for Obi feels!
Mockingjay and the Miner
Dead Air- Chvrches Deny It All- The Dear Hunter The Gold- Manchester Orchestra Diamonds and Coal- Incubus The Silence- Manchester Orchestra Safe and Sound (Taylor’s Version)- Taylor Swift You’ve Haunted Me All My Life- Death Cab for Cutie Rear View- Manchester Orchestra
Summary lyrics are cited after the cut:
Dead Air- Chvrches
I will never believe what they say There is a strength in enduring
You will be all that I seek in a twisted light
We hold up to an idea And we'll fight it, what we can't see
Deny It All- The Dear Hunter
The hollow stick to arrogance that binds But good faith and fortune rarely reward our cries While we wait carefully and see
Denied and borrowed tonight Deny, deny it all And it all will go away Close your eyes and deny it all
The Gold- Manchester Orchestra
Couldn't really love you anymore You've become my ceiling I don't think I love you anymore
That gold mine changed you You don't have to hold me anymore Our cave's collapsing I don't wanna be me anymore
"You don't open your eyes for a while You just breathe that moment down."
I believed you were crazy You believe that you love me You and me, we're a daydrink So lose your faith in me
Wasn't really dangerous for us We'd just catch you coughing What the hell are we gonna do? A black mile to the surface Well, I don't wanna be here anymore It all tastes like poison
Can't open your eyes for a while You just beat that moment down You can't open your eyes for a while You just breathe
Diamonds and Coal- Incubus
If it’s good to complicate then both of us are doing fine Just keep your eyes on your part and leave me alone to mine
Come on, in spite of this we’re doing just fine Even diamonds start as coal Give us time to shine Even diamonds start as coal
We’re both aligned in frame of mind, but circumstance has got us good And now you’re seeing a side of me I wished no one ever would
The sweetest things They burn before they shine We think way too much Look at us losing touch A promise is a promise until
The Silence- Manchester Orchestra
Why do I deserve the science To feel better about you? At a loss, I lost my cool I denied that I found you I tried to be a basket case I did not surprise you I'm trying to find a signal fire Let me know when I should move
But you, amplified in the silence Justified in the way you make me bruise
I don't want to waste away It was all I gave to you Take me back and take my place I will rise right up for you Nobody's gonna tear you down now "You can go anywhere but you are where you came from"
Let me watch you as close as a memory Let me hold you above all the misery Let me open my eyes and be glad that I got here
Safe and Sound (Taylor’s Version)- Taylor Swift
I remember tears streaming down your face when I said, "I'll never let you go" When all those shadows almost killed your light I remember you said, "Don't leave me here alone" But all that's dead and gone and passed tonight
Just close your eyes The sun is going down You'll be alright No one can hurt you now Come morning light You and I'll be safe and sound
You’ve Haunted Me All My Life- Death Cab for Cutie
You've haunted me all my life Through endless days and countless nights
You're always out of reach when I'm in pursuit Long-winded then suddenly mute And there's a flaw in my heart's design For I keep trying to make you mine
And so I wait, but I never seem to learn How to capture your diminishing returns I still see you through the eyes of a child Not even thinking we could tame the wild
Rear View- Manchester Orchestra
You were born in a bathtub on Deer Lake and the cradle collapsed And I promised I'd give you a mansion, I'm afraid this is it
Still, you're the reason I'm breathing, the soul in my step I've been running out of excuses, but nobody checks Scream when you need me, in fact, you can scream when you don't I'd rather sit here with you screaming than sit here alone
The fire in the rear view is smaller, the further we get
#obiyukibingo23#obiyuki#akagami no shirayukihime#snow white with the red hair#playlist#lyrics#hunger games#the hunger games#chvrches#manchester orchestra#the dear hunter#incubus#taylor swift#death cab for cutie#so many coal mine feels#oops shirayuki is the miner in this chapter cover!

My Favorite Pink Floyd Songs
I FEEL LIKE MAKING A LIST. I am putting it here in my digital diary. (Ignore this, I got too personal.)
Pink Floyd is and has been my favorite band since I was thirteen years old. They have been a constant presence in my life as my dad has been a huge fan his entire life. I have memories of him playing and singing PF songs to me when I was a kid. I have yet to find a band/artists who surpasses them in my mind. That being said, I haven't listened to all of their albums yet because I'm so satisfied with what I have heard that I haven't gotten bored enough to hear more yet. (YET!) I am savoring them and their music. I love all of the songs on these albums but I'm trying to narrow them down as much as possible, for fun.
MEDDLE (1971)
Echoes - What a TRIP. This is a song that inspires me endlessly, I pick up on something new every time I listen to it. Some insane lyricism, paired with crazy instrumentals. Holy cow. Favorite Lyrics - "The echo of a distant time comes willowing across the sand / And everything is green and submarine" and "Strangers passing in the street / By chance two separate glances meet / And I am you and what I see is me"
DARK SIDE OF THE MOON (1973)
Breathe (In the Air) - One of the songs I remember my dad singing to me as a kid. I remember one day he pulled up the lyrics to show me, and they went over my head at the time, but every time I hear this song now they haunt me. Favorite Lyrics - "Run, rabbit run / Dig that hole, forget the sun / And when at last the work is done / Don't sit down it's time to dig another one"
Time - This is in my top three PF songs. I cannot express how beautiful and fucking gut-wrenching this song is. It has one of the band's best guitar solos. When I hear this song I ascend and also comprehend my own mortality like it's the first time. Unmatched. I hear this song and panic over the passage of time, but I also bask in the absolute beauty of the music itself. Favorite Lyrics - "And you run and you run to catch up with the sun / but it's sinking" (Honorable mention: "Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way")
WISH YOU WERE HERE (1975)
Shine on You Crazy Diamond (Pts. 1-5) - Knowing the lore behind this song makes it absolutely insane. This is another song where I remember my dad showing the lyrics to me and pointing them out. I love this song just for the lyrics alone, the imagery in it inspires me heavily as a writer. Favorite Lyrics - "Remember when you were young? / You shone like the sun / Shine on you crazy diamond / Now there's a look in your eyes / Like black holes in the sky"
Have A Cigar - This is absolutely a hype song for me, put it on and I'll be singing along (badly) at the top of my lungs. I enjoy the commentary on the music industry a lot, plus it reminds me of one of my OCs, Lake, so bonus points for that. It feels like the antithesis to Orville Peck's "Turn to Hate". Favorite Lyrics - "Come in here, dear boy, you're gonna go far / You're gonna fly high, you're never gonna die / You're gonna make it if you try / They're gonna love you"
Wish You Were Here - This and Brain Damage were the first PF songs I really "found" on my own. I have wept to this song too many times to count. It reminds me of my dad. Favorite Lyrics - "We're just two lost souls swimming in a fishbowl, year after year / Running over the same old ground, what have we found? / The same old fears / Wish you were here"
ANIMALS (1977)
Dogs - This album is 100% political commentary through and through, which is one of the reasons I love it. That being said, I relate to certain aspects of this song when I'm doing really badly. It reminds me of the brutality of my childhood, of growing up in an abusive authoritarian home with my specific family dynamic (being the aggressor but also being a pawn in someone else's game). It also has some insane instrumentals. Favorite Lyric - "Gotta admit, I'm a little bit confused / Sometimes it seems to me as if I'm just being used"
Sheep - This is just a straight-up banger. I think it's just one you'll have to listen to because it's hard for me to put how I feel about this one into words. My favorite moments in the song are 2:47 and 7:23. Favorite Lyric - "Wave upon wave of demented avengers / March cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream"
THE WALL (1979)
Empty Spaces - Woo this is a doozy of an album. I have words but no thoughts at the moment. Empty Spaces is in my opinion a perfect transitional song. I love the guitarwork in this one, the menacing-ness of it. And then, of course, the transition into Young Lust, which is one of my favorite songs off of The Wall. Favorite Lyric - "What shall we use to fill the empty spaces / Where we used to talk?"
Young Lust - Probably my ultimate hype PF song. Brings out all of the testosterone in my small body to the surface. I hear this song and I NEED A DIRTY WOMAN! WHO'S GONNA SHOW THIS STRANGER AROUND! I FEEL IT IN MY SPIRITUAL DICK. It's such a mood shift but God, is it good.
One of My Turns - This is my favorite song off The Wall, hands down. I remember listening to it for the first time and I remember listening to it for the first time. This song means a lot to me on a very personal level. I used to have very fast swings into anger when I was younger, so that along with the constant push-pull dynamic I have had with people at certain points in my life... this song sometimes sounds like my brain. The clueless dialogue in the beginning, the TV droning, this song is like swinging from dissociation into a rage, which are two states I am very, very familiar with. One of My Turns leading into Don't Leave Me Now imo perfectly encapsulates what it's like to have a disorganized attachment style. Favorite Lyrics - "And night after night, we pretend it's alright / But I have grown older and you have grown colder / And nothing is very much fun anymore / And I can feel one of my turns coming on / I feel cold as a razorblade, tight as a tourniquet / dry as a funeral drum"
Comfortably Numb - Again, I remember listening to this song for the first time and I remember listening to this song for the first time. This has probably the best guitar solo I've ever heard in my life. Holy hell. I'm listening to it now and it's giving me goosebumps. That whole solo tells a story in itself. I love Hey, You's solo as well but I'm going to have to give the trophy to Comfortably Numb. Ironically, this was one of the very first PF songs I discovered on my own but I don't think I really "felt" it until maybe eight months ago. If you listen to one song off of The Wall, listen to this one. Favorite Lyrics - "When I was a child, I caught a fleeting glimpse / Out of the corner of my eye / I turned to look, but it was gone / I cannot put my finger on it now / The child is grown, the dream is gone"
THE FINAL CUT (1983)
Your Possible Pasts - Again, this is a very political album so I don't exactly feel qualified to speak on it much (bc I am not very educated when it comes to British politics), but this song is incredible. Edit: I did go and read up a bit on this album and there are LAYERS. It expands on the lore from the Wall, love these guys, they are geniuses. Anyway. Sonically, I love this song. I think it's one of those songs where it's going to take me 100 listens to really "get" it, and I'm on my 64th. Favorite Lyric - "By the cold and religious we were taken in hand / Shown how to feel good and told to feel bad"
The Final Cut - Okay, this is another one of my OG first discoveries as far as PF goes. Again, a very personal song for me, with all of my past mental health issues as a kid/teenager. I'm happy to report that I don't relate to this song as much as I did years ago. Again, disorganized attachment themes (I am projecting but that's how I interpret it lol). I have ugly-cried to this more times than I can count over the years. Favorite Lyrics - "Through the fish-eyed lens of tear stained eyes / I can barely define the shape of this moment in time" and "There's a kid who had a big hallucination / Making love to girls in magazines / He wonders if you're sleeping with your newfound faith / Could anybody love him, or is it just a crazy dream?"
A MOMENTARY LAPSE OF REASON (1987)
The Final Cut was the last album featuring Roger Waters, so from then on the band shifted. David Gilmour took on the mantle of Pink Floyd and made A Momentary Lapse of Reason and The Division Bell, my two favorite PF albums (DB is my all-time favorite). I like Gilmour's stuff a lot more than Waters', there's a level of hope to his songs that is completely absent in Waters'. I listen to post-Final Cut stuff a lot more than pre for this reason.
Signs of Life - A very personal song for me. Reminds my of my spiritual walk. If I say anything more I'm going to seem like a weirdo. What an awesome album opener, though.
Learning to Fly - This is my dad's favorite PF song. I don't have much to say other than what a beautiful song. Gilmour's lyricism really shines here. If you were to narrow down my soul to only the good parts, it would sound like this song. I have cried grateful (!) tears to this song. Favorite Lyrics - "A soul in tension that's learning to fly / Condition grounded but determined to try" and "A dream unthreatened by the morning light / Could blow this soul right through the roof of the night"
One Slip - This is my "Young Lust" of this album. Hype song, but also it sounds like every single bad relationship I've been in, haha. It sounds like that moment of just thinking to myself "FUCK IT!", it sounds like me when my frontal lobe disappears entirely because I can't resist lesbians with big brown eyes, apparently. If you were to connect my brain to a Bluetooth speaker when I have a crush it would be just this song playing over and over. There's always a tipping point that ends up spiraling into messiness and this song sounds like that tipping point (in a self-aware way). Favorite lyrics - "I led the way to the funeral pyre / And without a thought of consequence I gave into my decadence" and "Was it love, or was it the idea of being in love? / Or was it the hand of fate that seemed to fit just like a glove?"
Yet Another Movie - Take a good long look at the cover of this album. Look longer. Want a song that sounds exactly like the cover? LOOK NO FURTHER. I love this song. It's so weird. The fucking instrumentals have me on my knees. The backing vocals from Casablanca? It's pure Gilmour weirdness. I don't know what language this man is speaking, but message received. What a banger.
Sorrow - This is actually one that I haven't listened to enough as the others but I do really love it. More awesome guitar, more insane lyricism. On my 100th play I'll understand this song more, I'm on my 45th play. Favorite Lyrics - "He's haunted by a memory of a lost paradise / In his youth or a dream, he can't be precise / He's chained forever to a world that's departed / It's not enough, it's not enough"
THE DIVISION BELL (1994)
My favorite Pink Floyd album. Nothing soothes my soul quite like listening to this one. If you want to KNOW me, listen to the Division Bell. It's pure David Gilmour genius. I fucking love this album, I want my vinyl buried with me when I die. If I could only listen to one album for the rest of my life, it's this one, easy.
Poles Apart - This song makes me cry! Wow. Who knew? What a beautiful, gut-wrenching song. It reminds me of my parents at different parts, and it's got some awesome instrumentals (there's a carnival? clown? motif in the middle but it works, somehow). There's a story told in this song, and I've lived the story, but I can't quite put my finger on exactly what it is. Favorite Lyrics - "The rain fell slow / Down on all the roofs of uncertainty / I thought of you / And the years and all the sadness fell away from me" (this lyric makes me think of my dad. Can you tell I love him?)
Wearing the Inside Out - More awesome instrumentals. I don't get why this album is so overlooked by PF fans, seriously!! Again, this is a very personal song for me - more spiritual woo-woo stuff. The lyrics are insane, like always. Favorite lyrics - "This bleeding heart's (waiting for the waves) / Not beating much (to break)"
Keep Talking - Again, disorganized attachment, this is EXACTLY how it feels for me when I spiral down into avoidant behaviors (if you're reading this and are concerned I am actively working on it!). It's also just a cool-ass song. I love the beginning, from the old voiceover and then that beat drop into the song? Mmhmm. That's what I'm talkin' about. Favorite Lyrics - "I think I should speak now (why won't you talk to me?) / I can't seem to speak now (you never talk to me!)"
Lost for Words - This is my all-time favorite PF song. It doesn't have the bells and whistles and crazy guitar solos but it touches me on a deep fucking level. It reminds me of my relationship with my mom, unfortunately. But it is a beautiful song full of cool lyrics and imagery, it's been my favorite on the DB since I first heard the album and has developed into my favorite PF song over the years. Every year the lyrics become more relatable to me, hah. I think about it a lot from the perspective of someone who used to just constantly be angry, but now is just too tired to be.
Favorite Lyrics - "Can you see your days blighted by darkness? / Is it true you beat your fists on the floor? / Stuck in a world of isolation / While the ivy grows over the door / So I open my door to my enemies / And I ask could we wipe the slate clean / But they tell me to please go and fuck myself / You know you just can't win"
Honorable mention - High Hopes for that fucking incredible solo.
MY TOP FIVE PICKS IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER (except 1.)
LOST FOR WORDS
Learning to Fly
Comfortably Numb
One of my Turns
Time
If you read all of this....what the fuck are you doing? Why? (thank you, now you know too much about me but you hopefully have found some good ass songs from this post)

Jillian could see magic. No one could see it and they were unaware of it’s use, but she liked to watch as people unknowingly use it.
She would watch her neighbour, Tom, back up anything perfectly every time. Her office mate, Susan, was great at finding things. Half the office had been looking for the tiny diamond from Mary’s heirloom ring when Susan had come back from lunch and spotted it in a crack between the desks in Mary’s office. Jack could lift anyone’s bad mood and the office often sent him to do a walk by if a grumpy client was waiting. By the time Jack was done charming them into a good mood whatever issue the client had was easily solvable because now they weren’t hostile.
But she found herself a little jealous of other people. They couldn’t see the magic being weaved but had all these impressive talents none the less. Jillian couldn’t do anything special.
She stirred her coffee and ate one of the pastries she brought into the office to share, contemplating her luck, her ironic fate, when Jack walked into the kitchen.
“Ohh, what did you make this time, Jill?”
Jillian blinked back into the moment and watched as Jack’s infectious glow shined out. “Oh I just made some cream puffs.”
In only the way Jack could, his smile brightened and he was positively radiant. Jillian couldn’t resist smiling back.
“Brilliant! I love your pastries. You’re such a good baker. Everyone thinks so.” Jack popped a puff in his mouth and then another. “These are down right magical.” Jack winked and carried on down the hall.
Jillian blushed. Maybe she did have a talent after all.
Jack could see magic. No one could see it and they were unaware of it’s use, but he liked to compliment people as they unknowingly used it.
Jillian made the best baked goods he’d ever tasted. He was jealous sometimes that he could see magic but didn’t have a talent himself.
“Oh I found that file you needed.” Susan handed him the folder with a smile, “oh did you come from the kitchen? Did Jillian bring something in?”
“Brilliant! Thanks, Sue! You’re the best at finding things. It’s almost like magic.” Jack laughed. “Jill made cream puffs. They’re so good! I swear I put on ten pounds after she started working here.”
Susan laughed, “my stomach loves her but my scale hates her.” She gave a wave and made her way to the kitchen.
Susan could see magic. No one could see it and they were unaware of it’s use, she wished she could tell people about it but they’d probably think she was crazy. It’s not like she had a talent to prove it existed.
She paused a moment to fish the cap of the dry erase marker from behind the water cooler next to the office calendar before popping into the kitchen for one of Jillian’s magical pastries.

top ten favorite bands/musicians tag game
I was tagged by @mini-uzzy @aeide & @sleeplessincarcosa Thank you my dears 🤍
This is really difficult, but lemme see...
Joelistics - an Australian hip-hop artist, his solo work is about politics, story-telling, and is very self-reflective. Seamans Lullaby, In the Morning and Days are my absolute favourites. He was also the lead MC in the band TZU (pronounced tee-zed-you) and they made four albums which contain additional gems - Mondays and Coming Round are top tier. I've been following his work since the early 2000's (when Aussie hip-hop began, really) and it's so interesting tracing the development of his (and TZU's) music. It started very light and upbeat and grew steadily dourer and even a touch bleak by their final album. It says a lot for the times, and what growing up in this country is like, honestly. Very relatable.
Urthboy - another Aussie hip-hop artist with all the hallmarks of our brand of hip-hop. He is often upbeat - like Knee Length Socks, Shruggin' and Long Loud Hours are all great stories and/or cheerful beats - but he sometimes writes these stunningly intimate tracks - Daughter of the Light, which is an homage to his mum, or Natural Progression are good examples. He was (is?) also in the band The Herd. They are more politically focussed - the most famous song being 77% - a song that absolutely sizzles with anti-racist anger.
The Black Keys (of course) - I'd been aware of their existence for years and years (Gold on the Ceiling and Lonely Boy were everywhere at one point) but I had never been into it. Which retrospectively, is weird because I always like blues music, though I always skirted around the edges of it. What really grabbed me in the end was Howlin' for You, which began haunting me during last year. I'd wake up in the morning with that song in my head. So, I went digging for more, and an obsession was born. Personal faves include Crawling Kingsnake, Sinister Kid and Tighten Up - but there are so many great songs to choose from.
Editors - They are industrial rock (I think it's called) out of England, These guys are possibly my favourites of all time. Their music talks a lot about love and death in really interesting ways - it's a mix of rock, melancholy acoustic tunes and electro. Their album An End Has a Start is where I began, but The Back Room and The Weight of Your Love are brilliant albums. I'd single out All Sparks, Formaldehyde, and The Phone Book as their best, but it was a hard choice.
Kings of Leon - I was totally obsessed with their music around 2010 and I still passionately love several of their songs. Arizona, Knocked Up, King of the Rodeo, Waste a Moment, and Find Me are always going to be on a list of favourite tracks.
Talking Heads - I grew up in a musical household, in the sense that there was always music playing, mostly my dad's music. He was a young dad - 21 when I was born - so he was still very into popular music at the time (though definitely not R&B which was just starting to reach us in the late eighties. I often wonder what he would've made of Aussie hip-hop if he'd lived to hear it... anyway.) Talking Heads were big in my childhood, and I still really love their music - new wave is so fun and at times silly, I'm totally into it. Songs like Love for Sale, Psycho Killer, The Lady Don't Mind, And She Was and Girlfriend is Better are such cornerstones of my musical taste, I can hardly imagine who I'd be without them.
Dire Straits -Sultans of Swing is a forever favourite. It's one of those songs that reminds me really strongly of my dad. He had this silly way of singing the line 'it ain't what they call rock'n'roll.' I also really love Brothers in Arms and Romeo and Juliet.
Pink Floyd - the song Wish You Were Here absolutely defined a time in my life and sums up something about myself for which there are no words. The whole album (of the same name) is such a journey - even though I've always found Shine on you Crazy Diamond incredibly creepy. I also appreciate the album The Wall as a musical journey. Comfortably Numb, One of my Turns and the various iterations of Another Brick in the Wall are so, so good. Part 1 speaks to me on a cellular level.
Danheim - The soundtrack to my writing activities for years and years now, I couldn't make a list without mentioning him. I don't know the names of the tracks because I listen to whole albums at a time. They're all good. For some reason though, the song Glitnir is known to me as a particular favourite.
Heilung for the same reason as Danheim - though with Heilung, I've watched the full LIFA show like a thousand times; and I passionately love the song Norupo.
This is a very shabby, on the fly list - and I'm sorry for my inability to write anything short 😅
I'm tagging with zero pressure @liminalspacecowboah @i-gotta-get-normaller @myriath @woodsman2b @el-zorrito and anyone who I've undoubtedly forgotten who wants to jump in.

I'm bored :(
I'm pretty bored rn so I'm gonna list some of my favourite albums of all time, as well as my favourite tracks because I have nothing better to do :)
Some honourable mentions as well: Meteora - Linkin Park, Hellbilly Deluxe - Rob Zombie, Iowa - Slipknot, BABYMETAL, Stay Hungry - Twisted Sister, Black Sabbath
Also, I do like a lot of music so there are a lot more, but these are some I always like to visit
OK Computer - Radiohead Literally how could you not put this one. It's one of the best albums ever released. A literal journey. Favourite tracks: Paranoid Android, Karma Police, Airbag
Toxicity - System Of A Down Probably the best metal album there is, or nu metal at least. System have no bad songs and I'm convinced. Chop Suey is their most popular song for a reason. The last 30 seconds >>>> Favourite tracks: Shimmy, X, Chop Suey!, ATWA
System Of A Down More SOAD lol, this time their self titled debut album. Too underrated, people don't talk about it enough :( one of their best songs is in that album (Spiders) Favourite tracks: Spiders, Know, Sugar, Darts
Hybrid Theory - Linkin Park I just got my CD of this album today!! Again, one of the best nu metal albums. Probably the best Linkin Park album too (love their other stuff though, Minutes to Midnight >>>) Favourite tracks: Papercuts, Crawling, In The End
Nevermind - Nirvana Iconic. And amazing. And Nirvana. This album omfg I love it Favourite tracks: Come As You Are, Smells Like Teen Spirit (cry about it idc), Lithium
Hurry Up, We're Dreaming - M83 This is like the only non rock/metal album here because it's THAT good. You wouldn't believe that it came out in 2011. This album makes me feel things I can't describe, I recommend that everyone listens to it at least once in their lives. Favourite tracks: Intro, Outro, Midnight City, Wait, Reunion
Follow The Leader - Korn This is currently the only Korn album I have on CD (I just ordered the self titled one today though) and I love it. The song with Fred Durst from Limp Bizkit?? Cool af Favourite tracks: All In the Family, Got the Life
Ride The Lightning - Metallica This IS the best Metallica album and idgaf about what anyone says. This is too amazing, I bought it for my dad recently because he loves Fade To Black. Do I blame him? No. Favourite tracks: Ride The Lightning, Fade To Black, The Call Of Ktulu
Paranoid - Black Sabbath I would be crazy to not include Black Sabbath. Favourite tracks: Iron Man, War Pigs
Spit - Kittie I LOVE KITTIE SO MUCH AAGGHH. I ordered their album Oracle today, wanted to get Spit too but it's so expensive and for what??? I'm too broke for that :( Favourite tracks: Brackish, Charlotte, Paperdoll, Suck
Slivers.exe - MEJIBRAY One of the most iconic Visual Kei albums I must say. This album alone got me into vkei. Japanese metal wouldn't be the same without MEJIBRAY. Favourite tracks: Kore wo Izon to Yobu nara, CRAZED BRAIN
LOVE IS A MELODY - D&D I giggled typing this because it's so different to everything else here. D&D was a Japanese Eurobeat girl group from the 90s and their music SLAPS. All of it is on Spotify so hooray, also check out their sub-unit Aya&Chika from D&D. Kiss in the Sun is too good Favourite tracks: SUNSHINE HERO, SHAPE UP LOVE, BRAND NEW LOVE
SUPER EURO PARTY - HINOI Team Again, this is another Japanese Eurobeat girl group, but from the mid 2000s instead. They had a couple of original songs but also did covers of classic Eurobeat tunes. Nice album Favourite tracks: NIGHT OF FIRE, IKE IKE, SUPER EURO FLASH, AISHITERU
Voulez-Vous - ABBA Pretty people love ABBA Favourite tracks: Voulez-Vouz, Gimme Gimme Gimme!, Chiquitita, I Have A Dream
Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd Solely because of Shine On You Crazy Diamond Favourite tracks: Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Wish You Were Here
The Dark Side Of The Moon - Pink Floyd How could you not love this album? All Pink Floyd albums are insanely good, though Favourite tracks: The Great Gig In The Sky, Breathe (In The Air), Brain Damage
I feel like I've put enough here LMAO, also I would've put like pictures of the album covers but I honestly can't be bothered so I'm gonna leave it here but if you actually read this then thanks!! Hopefully you like these albums too :)

Here is a writing request! I hope you have fun with it! You can put noms in if you want to! :D : Giant warden hybrid Wilbur lives very deep underground and is very lonely. He meets a lost avian hybrid named Phil and decides to help him out of the cave system. When they get out Wilbur is sad that Phil has to go. Phil then decides its time to adopt another child and brings Wil with him home to a surprised Techno and Tommy.
AAAAAA I LOVE THIS SO MUCH! THANK YOU ANON! I DID HAVE A LOT OF FUN WITH IT and may also have gone a bit crazy with it? lol
(I didn't include Nom's in this story but if you ever wish for a part two with noms or anything i'd be more than happy too!)
Warnings: Injury, (Maybe some heavy subjects such as a child being lonely)
Words: 2.6K+
He doesn’t remember his younger days; he honestly couldn’t be sure who he was or how he even came into existence. One thing for sure was sounds, the tapping of a spider’s legs, creepers occasional hissing, skeleton’s bones rattling and a zombie’s growls.
It was always so dark, he’d seen the light of lava, sometimes even the light of day but the sky was always so high, so out of reach. And he couldn’t quite fit into the cave systems to find a way, so he was stuck.
He’s alone, he hates it. It’s too dark.
…
Phil flew high above the clouds in laughter, it’d been a while since he’d gone out on an adventure. Well, if you counted a much-needed mining trip of coal, iron, and such. But it was nice to be out of the house for once, especially with the kids out of the way.
Not in a bad sense though, he loved his kids but sometimes things were so busy he couldn’t keep track of things. Raising a toddler and a somewhat crazy child is well chaotic.
His two kids, Techno and Tommy. Techno had been adopted by Phil a bit early on, when Phil first met his now-wife, Kristin. He found Techno on the streets of a village, trying to fend off bandits. Phil’s fatherly instincts kicked in, a thing he’d always had and couldn’t help but take the boy in. Much to his reluctance.
Techno grew up with Phil and is now a very healthy and happy 11-year-old, and then there’s Tommy. The most recent member of the family, his little bundle of joy of about 3 years old, Techno found it odd being an older brother, he still does but he copes.
The feeling of his feathers swaying, his hair blowing, him having to attempt to keep his hat on every second, he missed this feeling. He was glad he just managed to find a babysitter since their mother was currently out on ‘business terms’.
…
The vibrant blue sky, below the loving shades of green passing with every flap of his wings. He wondered if his wife was watching over him, with her being a god and all.
He was happy how life was currently going as of late, he only hoped that fate had a good future ahead of him.
He shook himself out of his thoughts as he finally arrived at the destination. He had been well prepared for this trip; it was a mine that he’d been wanting to adventure for ever so long. He could tell there was something about it, something special.
And judging by the vibrant minerals just shining from the sunlight of the entrance, something told him there was more than just iron and coal in this cave, perhaps something more valuable, diamonds.
…
He wasn’t sure how long it’d been, but it had been a long time, he had quite a bit of iron, coal. But not only that gold and emeralds, a valuable currency. He wouldn’t have to worry about mining with the number of minerals he now had. Not only that but diamonds could be used to create powerful weapons.
He knew Techno would be happy, he’d always loved shiny things. Probably due to his Piglin features. And he could make Kristin some beautiful jewellery. It made him happy to say that his family was going to be good for a good while.
…
He picked up different noises, it was odd to hear such things. He could hear strange padding noises, perhaps some creature moving? Not only that but he heard the breaking of stone, which was a rare sound in his caves.
It was somewhat crazy to think something else could be coming closer to him, to hurt him. He knew he was strong not he didn’t even know If he was as strong as the outside monsters.
He wasn’t sure how he came to be in this world, he was always so alone. But sometimes the vines would speak to him, telling him of things like a place called the surface, which was colourful and bright.
…
The breaking of stone could be heard again, it only got louder and louder every minute. Whatever was making those sounds had found him and was coming for him. His antennae twitched anxiously; he was scared he didn’t want to die.
His claws bared as he readied his sharp teeth, he scanned for wherever the sound was coming from and waited to attack.
…
He panted as he broke at the stone, it’d been a while since he’d done so much mining, he was much out of shape. He had no idea where he currently was, he was long lost in this cave with no way of finding his way back. Despite the torches, he had no lead to where he came.
He was now trying to mine into the walls, hoping to find another branch of the cave that would finally lead him to a way to the surface. After the struggles of breaking through the wall for however long, he finally found another branch of the cave.
Big mistake as the first step he took into this cave, there was a loud crashing sound. Something had tried to hurt him, and he barely dodged it, the ceiling of the cave barely supported the impact, rubble falling from the ceiling.
He readied his sword for battle as he ran to behind a rock for cover. Something that caused that impact was definitely big, like strangely big. Not only that but the cave was one of the darkest caves he’d ever seen, the only light being from his torch.
He had no idea of where if he was honest, he couldn’t even tell if he was hiding properly. Anything could creep upon him at the current moment, it was oddly quiet, the only sound being his heartbeat.
…
He heard a strange growl behind him, it scared him with how deep and shallow it sounded, definitely a monster. Hesitantly he turned to the right, and right there was the monster staring right at him. But the monster flinched back when Phil turned around, the bright light in the monster’s face.
It seemed to hurt its eyes as he held his eyes and stumbled back in pain, from what he saw he saw about four eyes, antennae, and dark greenish-blue skin, with some light green bioluminescence that reacted to light. It appeared to be a Warden, a creature Phil had read about.
A creature of great mystery, one that mostly relied on sound, one that could communicate with plants. It was an odd creature, but the thing is about this Warden. It had a set of hair, not only that but it looked a lot more humanoid than what he’d seen drawn of the creatures.
It looked rather young too… No! No fatherly instincts! Monster?...
…
He winced in pain and stepped back from the strange being, he hadn’t seen light in quite some time. This thing was nothing like he’d ever before. He had never seen such a strange light. It hurt. This thing was strong if the creature had that then it could definitely kill him.
It came prepared.
“Hello?” it spoke. His eyes dilated as he scanned for the light, he saw it move around. He could see the creature’s confused features. It seemed almost scared itself, not only that but concerned. Something he wasn’t quite familiar with.
He was surprised by the fact that he could understand the creature, it was an oddly familiar language. “Hello?”, he replied with hesitance. He was scared that the monster’s features would change, and the creature would attack him.
“Oh! You talk? Good, because I think there’s been a bit of a misunderstanding!”. The creature made a strange sound, but seemed relieved and happy? Laughter?
“Sorry about the light, I didn’t realise it’d hurt you, my name is Phil. How about you?”
“What’s a name?”
“Oh? You don’t have one, well I guess a way to describe it would be a sort of title, something people can call you to identify you from others!”.
“… I don’t have one?”.
…
The creature- Phil had come closer, more friendly than before. No weapons, a smile. The once bright light is now dim, more adjustable.
“Well, if you don’t have a name. How about we give you one?”.
“Okay…”.
“Hmm… You look like a.. A Wilbur!”.
“Wilbur?”.
“That’s your name! Wilbur! Do you like it”.
“It sounds nice. I like it!”.
A name? It sounded nice, it made him feel unique, different from others…
…
“Well, Wilbur. Do you think you could help me?”, “How?”. “Well, you see I’m kind of stuck here. I don’t know my way out.”.
“Where do you want to go?”, “The surface.”.
…
“The surface?”, “Yeah! I need to get home!”. “Home?”, “Yeah, it’s where I live with my family!”, “Family?”, “A group of people who are very important to me, I have to get home or my sons, I don’t know what will happen.”, “Okay. I’ll help.”.
Wilbur lent his hand, confused Phil just stared at it. But Wilbur just ended up scooping up Phil and standing up, wandering through the caves.
“So, you live in these caves?”, “Mhm”, “Aren’t you lonely?”, “… Yeah…”.
“How old are you?”, “I don’t know, they say I’m a youngling…”.
…
Phil’s fatherly instincts kicked in, a kid on his own in a fucking cave system? No fucking way. He had no choice; his mind was already made up. This kid was now his, he now wanted nothing more than to smother this boy in the love he never had, care for Wilbur. Like how he met Techno.
The two ventured the caves for a while, surprisingly no mobs. The two at this point had spoken for a while and gotten to know each other a small bit, Wilbur seemed fairly interested in his family too! So, it made him happy to think that he’d achieved a new son!
But he spoke a little too soon, a loud bang frightened Wilbur. Wilbur jumped back and dropped Phil from a height. Phil landed with an oof and looked back at Wilbur who was now crouching in fear, immediately he ran over to comfort the boy despite his aching leg.
“Hey, hey. Wil, it’s alright, it was just a creeper.”. He ran his hand over the boy’s own hand, “I-I, it was loud...”, “I know, I know. But it’s okay! It’s not gonna hurt you anymore mate! I’ll protect you!”.
…
He released his hold on his eyes and looked down to Phil… Protect? As in guard him? Phil’s eyes were enough to reassure him, it brought him comfort despite the small time of knowing him, he’d never known such a kind person before.
He picked up on a sound, the tugging of string. Phil didn’t seem to hear it as he was concentrating on him. He looked back to see a skeleton aiming an arrow at Phil. Scared, he quickly brought Phil to his chest as the skeleton shot the arrow.
Phil screamed but immediately calmed as he heard the arrow hit the ground, realizing that Wilbur had only been protecting him. He smiled and looked back furiously at the skeleton.
He reached for his sword and despite his aching leg, wiggled out of Wilbur’s hold and sliced the skeleton in half, its remains turning to dust and bones. He looked back to Wilbur, “You okay, mate?”.
“I’m fine! How about you? You’re walking differently.”. “Ah, I’m fine mate. My leg just hurts a bit!”. “Hurts? As in pain?”, “Yeah? Wh-“.
Phil was cut off when Wilbur brought him back to his chest, standing up and continuing their adventure to the surface. Being sure Phil was secure in his hold, not wanting to bring any more pain to this man.
…
A bright light could be seen in the distance, “Hey Wil! I think that’s the surface!”. Wilbur looked over in the direction of the light, he winced slightly but his eyes adjusted as he made way to the light.
Once they were outside, Phil took a good breath of fresh air. Wilbur copied, confused as to why and surprised with how fresh the air felt in his lungs. It was refreshing.
“Wil! We’re outside! Thank you so much!”
“It’s nothing but…”
“Hmm, what’s wrong?”.
“Where do I go now?...”
“We can go to my place if you want, you can meet Tommy and stuff.”.
“Really?”.
“Of course, Wilbur!”.
Phil then flew upwards and directed Wilbur to follow him, along the way Wilbur would get distracted by the views and greenery. Phil was more than happy to wait for the boy.
Now that he thought about it, he had a clearer view of Wilbur, who was definitely a lot more humanoid than he first thought, perhaps he was a hybrid of sorts? Only time could tell.
But at the break of dawn, Phil arrived home as was greeted by a worried Technoblade running towards him, a Tommy trying to follow behind him, wanting his father’s hold.
“Techno! Tommy! Are you guys okay?”. “Dad! Where have you been?”.
The worried words of his son and the rambling of his toddler were enough to make him scoop them up in his arms and cover them in kisses. Which seemed to cheer the two up.
But all hell broke loose when Techno stared up at Wilbur, he stood in front of Phil to protect him. “Who are you?!”, “Techno! Calm down! This is Wilbur! Your brother!”, “Brother?! Really Dad?!”, “Yes really”.
…
Despite the reluctance, Techno grew used to his new sibling, so did Tommy who seemed to really like Wilbur. Not only that but Kristin was more than happy to have Wilbur adopted into the family, and that’s how Wilbur joined the family.
… Bonus …
“Bitch!”
“Oi, don’t use those words, Tommy!”.
Tommy was now about 5 years old, a very clingy 5-year-old. One who never left Wilbur alone, not that Wilbur hated it, he loved his younger brother a lot. It was just sometimes he could be quite annoying.
“Wilby! I want cuddles!”. His antennae twitched as he closed his four eyes, pinching his nose to be as dramatic as possible and let out a long sigh, “Finee!” he dragged out. Tommy’s excitement as he ran to grab blankets was more than enough to make him smile.
Wilbur sat down against the wall as Tommy dragged pillows and blankets against the floor, the things being double his height and dragging behind him. Then made his way to throw the pillows at him and attempting to climb onto his lap.
He failed multiple times, “Wil! Help me!”. Finally with the help of Wilbur’s claw he adjusted and cuddled within Wilbur’s hold.
“Tell me that story again!”, “The one about the civilization and the brothers?”, “Yeah!”.
Wilbur laughed, “Okay!”.
Within 5 minutes of the story, Tommy had fallen asleep, so Wilbur changed to a simple lullaby whilst playing with his baby brothers’ hair. Something precious, something he’d always protect.
“Got room for one more?”, Techno stood there in his crowned PJs, who seemed barely functioning, his blanket and pillow dragging behind him. Usually, he’d never do such a day but today seemed to be an exception. “Of course Tech!”.
The three then fell asleep together.
…
“Awwhh! Look at them Phil!”, Kristin whispered as she peered into the room of her son’s bedroom. Phil giggled, “I know! I’m glad I have such a good family”.
Within the palm of her hand, he laid. Thankfully for them, Kristin was a giant, so the house was already pretty adaptable for Wilbur. She placed a kiss on his forehead. “Love you, hun!”, “Love you too!”.

Dile (Tell him) #Writer Wednesday 06/16/21 Javi Peña x GN! Reader
Summary: It's the big day, your wedding day, the happiest day of your life, right? but a letter from a former lover might change everything.
Warnings: infidelity, cursing, mentions of sex
Pairing: Javier Peña x GN! Reader ( reader addressed as "you", no physical descriptions, just reader is marrying a person with he/him pronouns)
A/N: For the #Writer Wednesday challenge created by @autumnleaves1991-blog and for this month Jey’s 2k21 Pride Celebration @flightlessangelwings
Well, this is the first piece I finish in almost a month but life has been pretty crazy. I actually planned to write something fluffy and romantic but I was cleaning and, as always, I put on my "night club" type of list in Spotify and this song by Don Omar came by and I'm on my Javi feels lately so, here ya go!
This is my second time writing for a GN reader, pls, if I missed something let me know, I tried to keep it as generic as possible.
Prompts are in bold, I hope you like it, everyone!
Hi
I’m not sending this to change your mind or to cause you any harm even though you hurt me so much by going away. I really want to wish you a happy life and a bright future, though, if I have to be honest, I don’t know how you could be happy with him.
I know he seems the perfect choice, picture perfect, Disney prince, just too good to be true type of guy. Your parents must be ecstatic, he must be thinking how lucky he is for marrying you. But does he know?
Have you told him?
Have you told him the things you’ve told me?
the names you call me?
how every time he slept by your side you reached for the phone and called me?
Have you told him how tight you held me, wearing that diamond ring he gave you, while we fucked?
Have you even mentioned my name? or how we met?
You’re not that meek, dull version of yourself that you showed him. Every single one of your beautiful hairs carefully brushed, those modest attires...you can lie to them, but you ain’t lying to me, sweetheart.
Remember our first night?
You were shining, beaming under the lights, showing that beautiful skin, eyes semi closed while you danced. I swear your skin was sparkling like your sweat was glitter, I haven’t seen anything more beautiful in my life...well, I have.
We danced together, remember? I asked you if I could buy you a drink and you didn’t hear a thing because the music was too loud, but you grabbed my hip and made me dance. With your body pressed against mine, my hands on your hips while they swayed so smoothly I swore I died and went to heaven. The song ended and you smiled at me “It was my favourite song, I had to dance, what did you ask me?”. That, your wide and sweet smile, that is the most beautiful thing I’ve seen in my life.
Believe me, I felt the luckiest man when you accepted my invite to a drink, when you pressed your leg to mine in that tiny corner at the bar. There were lots of people there, I had probably come with some friends and I didn’t care. All I saw was your neck glistening, the scent of your perfume mixed with something entirely yours.
That scent, since I met you I’ve been trying to absorb it every second I’ve been with you till I could taste it, smelled it when you were away. And I remember that night like it was yesterday, how we got to my apartment and you let me, for the first time, bury myself in it, in you.
I have your face while you orgasmed burnt in my brain till I couldn’t think of other things for days.
Do you know you made me late for work? Do you know they noticed how absent I was? How I could not focus on anything else?
because I couldn’t get rid of your pretty face asking me for more, pushing me against you until our bodies were impossibly close, biting your lip when you came and that napkin you gave me with your number thinking I wouldn't call, but I did, didn’t I?
I ran to my house and called you the next day.
And how many times since then have we run to each other?
How many times you said you had to be back to him, to be the good and boring version of yourself you give to him?
And how many of those times you ended up in my bed? or on my couch, or in my car, even in a dark alley once
Remember?
You were bored and angry, he dismissed you like always, he’s always tired to go dancing, something you love, but you decided to go anyway. And you ended up tipsy, alone and sad about yourself, and who did you call? Who did you call to pick you up? to fuck you properly? (your words)
And I was angry and hurt, not gonna lie, you kept coming and going leaving me wrecked, but I did picked you up anyways, fuck you like you were so desperate for it, begging and pleading for me to just take you.
Have you told him that?
What excuse did you make up for coming back home looking like a mess?
What would he think of his proper and docile partner if he saw you getting fucked in a dark alley?
I would love to see his face if he only knew…
Tell him, be honest, show yourself to him, that version of you you only give to me
Tell him how we kissed until we were out of breath
Tell him how you whisper in my ear that I drive you crazy every time I fuck you
Tell him that my sheets still smell like you, since you have owned my bed and my thoughts since I met you
tell him how he will never know the sounds you make
the filthy words that escape from your sweet innocent lips before you could even think of what you are saying
tell him how happy you were when you danced with me
tell him how I listened to anything you liked to tell me until you fell asleep in my arms and then listen to your soft breaths until I could for the first time in years really relax
and tell him he will never be able to know all those things because that part of you is still mine.
and tell yourself, be honest for once, that you’re making the greatest mistake of your life.
Always by your side,
Javi
(Me if Javi Peña told me on my wedding day all that even if I payed millions for the freaking wedding
