When coming up for WSeB I also had another Undertale/Deltarune g/t-ish AU idea - a trip to another fandom(or other fandoms) gone wrong. And by what i mean by that - Flowey with a resize ray.
Insert tries to introduce some of the UT/DR cast to other fandom with @comyet's Ink and @dokudoki's Core!Frisk while visiting her early childhood friends from other fandoms ( they're at an intersect universe said fandoms are Blaze and the monster machines and Team UmiZoomi btw -). Flowey strays off the group and finds a resize ray in his possession and what does he do - he starts to cause sh1t. And by sh1t i mean world domination with covering location with vines and inconveniently resizing stuff and/or people.
The group has to stop the weed with the help of main characters and reluctantly teamed up frenemies of main characters of pre-school cartoons and all of this is happening during a Robot riders episode too, so on the good guys side we have a 15ft Robot-truck, hero-borrowers(sorta?) and one/some of the viewers.
Oh, another thing - Dump Truck is one of the people who gets hit by Flowey's ray. So, in theory this should be a thing -
This would be hella funny.
Anyways i feel like i should engage in this au idea -
#crossover au#undertale#undertale au#deltarune#deltarune au#blaze and the monster machines#team umizoomi#team umizoomi dump truck#Flowey with a size-ray AU#FWaSR au#this is gonna be silly and unhinged -

Undertale Yellow AU/UT and DR based-Ideas Ramble Post
You know, I haven't posted on this account for anything in YEARS besides reblogs and one Paper Mario: Origami King rant...
Anyway, had random assorted Undertale yellow AU and post pacifist/wider Undertale/deltarune world--related ideas I felt like spouting for fun because I'm back into Undertale brainworms and Twitter would suck for this, especially since I keep updating this. Feel free to use these ideas if you somehow see this and get inspired. Credit would be nice (at least cause I would like to see anyone turning these rambles into ideas) but really isn't necessary. These can easily veer off from the canon/creators of yellow and various AUs referenced (I've been really bad at keeping up with generally accepted versions of aus and the story for official ones), and I do not in ANY way want to imply my ideas are good or "proper" add-ons, just fun what-ifs that might break the rules. Also, I'm bad at coming up with good endings or full casts descriptions for a lot of these concepts (sorry Dalv) so feel free to do them yourself
UNDERTALE YELLOW SPOILERS OBVIOUSLY
*Undertale background (and yellow lore ideas):
-Clover is the first human to fall after Flowey's "birth"
-if Berdly has an unseen Undertale counterpart (he's the only one who never has a reference or family member referenced unless you think the drunk bird in grillby's is related), martlet is like his way older cousin.
-undertale yellow takes place just before the monsters who became amalgamates woke up (since alphys said she called everyone and probably wouldn't have been so chipper in the journal if one monster wasn't still getting up, and Ceroba says she hadn't heard anything and there's no mention of other monsters getting news of their relatives) and subsequently melted. In other words, amalgam kanako doesn't happen until after the events of pacifist (that said, I wrote some au ideas on the idea of her amalgamating before anyway)
-Kanako is part of the amalgam that tucks in frisk, since she remembers it being comforting when she was a kid. Also, this is just a story idea but I can imagine her being a bit special/unique when everyone started melting, perhaps the first to get up and last to melt or vice versa (I think the former cause her soul was probably holding on a bit longer since because of the boss monster and existing determination injection sustaining her longer). EDIT: lmao so much for being headcanon for the first bit. Anyway, only add-on thought to this is that since a lot of lore, though partly unused, implies it's mostly just older monsters that fall down, kanako was the only outright child in true lab and Alphys basically had to become her guardian/parent for a few months.
-martlet stole the serum from true lab while everyone was still fallen down, soon after alphys made the first injections, hence why alphys is willing enough to chance leaving the lab open and why martlet isn't as shocked/traumatized as she might have been if she saw amalgamates. She wasn't familiar enough to recognize kanako/a child resembling chujin (how she might have expected them), but she was also focused on sneaking in and out so she wouldn't have paid much attention until reflecting during pacifist.
-the snowdin attack took place in upper snowdin, which is why there's way more guards stationed there. Additionally, that was one of the last events of Undertale counterpart rudy's life, and he helped asgore restore trust and calmness in the days after the event. His girls were too young to remember. Lastly, sans and papyrus briefly drew suspicion for their human frames, but both pretty quickly disarmed residents of suspicion.
-The reason that Clover was the only one to ever travel through yellow locations (the other humans may have at least explored other parts of the underground and just died in Frisk-explored locations) is because they're some of the farthest possible places from the Castle. Even slightly more direct routes would have gotten them killed, hence Flowey pushing them on a roundabout path
-Undertale's Gaster (I have a seperate pet theory about how there's one from Undertale who fell into Deltarune, and another who originates there) made the core but fell into Deltarune before clover arrived, and there he has some major interaction with sans and papyrus that follows them back in Undertale where they get here after Clover
-Ceroba's family were naturally gifted towards magic and one of the more important families on the surface, to the point that a few remnants of their tradition remained aboveground where they eventually become (one of many) inspirations for Mew Mew Kissy Cutie (without the humans knowing the monster background), hence the bell motifs both share. Underground life has kind of quashed most boundaries that aren't "the royal family," but Chujin was marrying above his paygrade (both had a strong mutual love)
-The boss monster gene is normally inherent only in goat-esque monsters, so by default they're the only boss monsters, but it can be transferred from goat monsters to non-goat monster children (normally undetected), and it was in Chujin's family for years (this is mostly just me coping on my different definition of boss monster). Also, as a small little design concept, I like to imagine that kanako and chujin would have had slight boss monster features (rounder snouts, tails, fur that's either white at the base or tip, small horns buried under their hair, and chujin could develop facial hair)
--As a combination of the above, Kanako would probably have been one of the most Naturally gifted/powerful monsters short of the Dreemurrs thanks to both her mother's magic and father's boss monster DNA. However, she probably wouldn't have had a need to significantly develop those powers (kind of like how Toriel is naturally powerful but not really a warrior).
-Ceroba has a slight Japanese accent (like someone who has both mastered English and speaks it commonly enough) that's usually burried underneath the underground's default (like every species had some dialect and accent pre-Ebott that's faded over time), but if she gets angry it FLARES up
-Likewise, Starlo has an exaggerated cowboy accent (I personally think of Mad Dog in the Live a Live dub with the southeastern-slant given his showmanship), but when the mask (and hat) drops, it turns into softspoken midwestern farmboy.
-Chara only bonds to Frisk because they share an affinity for determination and Frisk landing on their grave was close enough to hit something. Clover isn't attuned enough for that to happen.
-sans, alphys, and Asgore know about all the Yellow locations (though Alphys is too shut in to ever visit anywhere besides the mew mew arcade machine), Undyne has been to the dunes and mine and is old enough to know of the steamworks but never visit, while she respects the Wild East just enough to avoid visiting herself and causing trouble (personally, she probably thinks they're just a bunch of slackers who aren't helping out monsterkind given her views of mettaton, but she can at least respect their passion ). Papyrus doesn't know about the steamworks but has been out to the dunes once or twice. Toriel has been shut in and away too long to know of the steamworks and doesn't know the dunes dried out.
*Undertale yellow post-pacifist (and just Undertale post-pacifist):
-Flowey left his main save after Clover's death, after realizing both neutral and any pacifist didn't get anywhere, and due to a mix of pity/respect (though he wouldn't admit it, clover sacrificing their soul for monsterkind reminds him of Chara) and pragmatism, he keeps his ("main" if reular flowey has multiple) save file permanently after their death even if he CAN reset to his creation. (Of course, he's still toyed with the timline THOUSANDS of times before Clover fell--since they only fell after he already tried everything and just waited, he's not too torn up about never going back while he plays around with his new circumstances for a while)
-The only ones who know most of what happened to Clover are Martlet, Starlo, and Ceroba. They told Asgore that Clover was a good kid, but nothing about how they steered Ceroba off her path
--likewise, no one but Clover and Ceroba (and Flowey) knew that Ceroba is responsible for Kanako falling down. Starlo (and some of the rest of the Feisty Five) has suspicions Ceroba hid SOMETHING about the nature of Kanako falling down beyond what she reveals out loud in pacifist, but would never suspect what happened, and both he and Martlet were knocked out for the fight (plus, Clover was seeing a memory) so neither caught what happened. There is absolutely some angst potential of Ceroba admitting what happened and it temporarily straining her friendship with Starlo.
-Undertale is about 2 years after (I normally headcanon that it's decades apart for humans but for this game I'd let it slide). There's not much obvious aging or change outside whats apparent in the credits from character development (dalv is a little more outgoing, Ceroba starts to live a little, starlo goes back to the farm more often) but Martlet is probably marginally more organized and a tad more matured in terms of appearance.
- The cast is mostly uninvolved with UT, but at least one of them (probably martlet or Dalv--ceroba is still a little bitter about mettaton costing Chujin his job and Starlo might avoid the show out of respect to her) catch Frisk on Mettaton's show with clover's gun and hat. Your call whether they respect that Clover's tools protect another kid beyond the grave or see that moment as disrespecting their memory (Martlet is probably the most understanding, Starlo the least), but after the barrier is broken they at least appreciate that Frisk used Clover's belongings to achieve justice for monsterkind
-During the photoshop flowey fight, clover was kept on lock the longest since he knew more of what their soul was capable of.
-The Wild East/Dunes and steamworks aren't used as hiding spaces in genocide because even if clover was pacifist, monsters know humans have gotten there before, and Alphys isn't taking chances compared to how true lab can be locked down.
-the souls can briefly "sense" clover while everyone is absorbed by Asriel, and toward the end of the fight as monsters inside gain their memories back, they don't exactly "talk" again but at least gain a sense of closure and fulfillment from Clover. No one quite knows what happened after the fight, but the gang feels a little better about Clover for some reason.
-Ceroba meets amalgam Kanako in both the evacuation and post-pacifist. At first, she'd hold it against Alphys (after the initial despair at seeing her daughter transformed), enough to even attack alphys, but she comes to admit what happened is just as much her responsibility. On post-pacifist, Kanako is calm enough (thanks to Frisk) and sentient enough for it to be a real reunion, and like most amalgams doesn't hold it against alphys enough to lash out, which at least eases Ceroba.
-toriel gets some closure on what happened to clover when she wants to honor the fallen humans and asgore directs her to ceroba. She doesn't get the full story but enough to know they gave their soul up willingly. Even though the two in the past probably would have disliked each other (Ceroba disliking Toriel for giving up on her husband, and Toriel for what Ceroba did to both kanako and Clover), Ceroba would have mellowed out enough to respect toriel's decision. Toriel would be more standoffish but at least sees Ceroba as less of a coward than asgore who was motivated by love of her family.
-any monsters who befriended previous humans plus yellow's main cast and toriel hold a funeral for the humans who died (Asgore may attend out of penance, and other monsters out of guilt but not as the primary attendees), Toriel is probably the only one (besides family if any are left) that cares for integrity sadly...
-Honeydew inn becomes the main nature resort of the underground for surface visitors, especially with snowed inn shutting down
-On the surface, Starlo becomes involved in those western town recreations, and Martlet still doesn't quite have a direction to take her life in and winds up in various odd-jobs for a while, but she appreciates the newfound freedom. Dalv isn't quite a pro yet, but his organ playing nets him the occasional music festival appearance, and in-between he works on his kid's books. Ceroba would mainly be occupied just trying to keep amalgam kanako happy (though if there's a connection between her background and Japan, she at least visits a few shrines together) and when she doesn't visit her friends, she's working together with other amalgam families on treatment.
-in flawed pacifist, starlo has almost entirely lost the sheriff and western fascination due to his feelings on clover and justice as a whole, and busies himself on his family farm, occasionally paying respects to the ketsukanes. The feisty five become more distant friends and the wild east as a whole gradually loses its cowboy flavor without Starlo's enthusiasm and becomes more of a rural Hamlet in the dunes. Martlet and dalv are generally the same as above, but lack a strong friend group for support, especially with martlet and starlo never reconciling over Clover's choice . After the events of UT, starlo takes in kanako and cares for her as both struggle with the loss of Ceroba and feelings on humans in light of frisk and Clover's legacies. Starlo also takes a small roll in the steamworks restoration with alphys (below), but has nowhere near the same knowledge or attachment
-The connection to the surface eventually results in the resources for reflowering portions of the dunes, and the mines remain a source of mineral wealth for monsterkind.
*General AU Idea I had regarding Kanako as Flowey/an Equivalent
-The steamworks gets "restored" (cleaned out of important tools and research properly, and physically repaired but out of practical operation outside as a museum) post-pacifist. Most robots choose to stay in the only home they know (and could operate in) but any capable of moving at least have the freedom to leave, and it's now run as a historical location with Axis occasionally involved in tours (when he's not exploring the concept of freedom himself). Alphys contributes to the restoration work due to a combination of guilt for "faking" mettaton's nature and putting a lot of scientists out of a job, and Ceroba realizing she's still one of the best tech specialists left in the underground and asking for her help (and alphys naturally feels she owes it to her as a family member of an amalgamate).
-Kanako takes on a similar role to Flowey after a combination of Ceroba's soul essence injection and alphys' determination injections (Ceroba never told Alphys that there's already some injected in her) overload her past the amalgam point and her body melts too much to even hold together, eventually dusting and settling into a white flower from the steamworks that kanako kept from chujin as a memento. She grows the same lack of empathy and desire for thrill/power that drives flowey as lack of emotions and the ability to reset erodes her unwillingness to kill (as usually develops as a result of gaining reset power: see meta narrative on Frisk/Chara/the player). Eventually, this drives her to seek the souls and see what she could do with more power. her philosophy outside of those goals is that people only ever use each other as a means to an end, and trust or faith in others is a painful dead end (Chujin's plan and Ceroba's work hurt Kanako and she cynically sees it as an attempt at creating/clinging to legacy, she realized Alphys faked her credentials and was using the DT injections just for reputation, and she eventually realizes Asgore doesn't reaaaaally want to free his citizens the way he promised them but is too afraid to be honest and destroy their trust). There's an element of "kill or be killed" but based more in the belief that inherent selfishness means those who don't use others will be used. The integrity soul human themself isn't truly present, but their LV, though filtered, made it easier for Kanako to start hurting others, and lingering feelings of fear and hatred towards monsters combined with kanako's own trauma from a human created a deeper sense of distrust for all living things.
-outside her general philosophy being a bit different and putting down her parents and their friends a bit more (similar to Flowey holding more cynical views of his parents) her actions are like flowey for most of the game (so she largely masks her philosophy and her personal belief that she and Clover are trying to use each other). the only noticeable difference is that she's less reliant on pellets and more on energy infused attacks given the nature of the flower she's attached to. Part of her snapping in neutral in addition to just generally being angry clover won't open the way to killing asgore after years of trying to get them there is that she's PISSED clover would be so "stupid" as to throw their safety away by trusting Martlet. The inside of her head would have less of Flowey's self-harm elements and be marginally less twisted (it "helps" she isn't dealing with lingering remnants of Chara's mentality or death from humans like Asriel did) but instead there'd be a sense of loss of self from the amalgam experience she briefly felt manifesting as melty, goopy horror, and the fear she felt both then, and as a child when integrity attacked (and subconsciously, the fear Integrity held as Axis blew their head off).
-despite the Asriel comparisons I also really wanna try not making her mostly just "Asriel but UT yellow character." (which is also why I can't come up with an ending scenario since I feel it could rip off Asriel too much). I do think flowey's role in UTY works really work because it IS flowey and not someone like him (whether like his UT or UTY selves), I just also had the idea kanako might be flowey during my playthrough and I REALLY wanna explore that .
**variation of the above but placing the timeline further back.
-I have a less developed idea that sees this as part of a larger AU where yellow takes places before flowey or alphys. Chujin loses his job due to the core shutting down steamworks labs and the axis prototype incident ensuring he doesn't get to work as an individual researcher. The Integrity attack happens when kanako was just a baby, then a decade later is when chujin dies and Ceroba starts the serum plan. After kanako becomes fallen down, Ceroba does another injection since she's desperately clinging to the belief that chujin's idea HAS to work.
-That much human soul essence contains enough DT for it to partially melt Kanako and seemingly destroy her sentience, but her boss monster DNA (and the fact that it's not pure DT but filtered through human essence and is therefore slightly more self sustaining) keeps her soul and form resilient enough to survive as solo amalgamate. Ceroba keeps her locked in the Ketsukane house out of a mix of shame, fear of losing all her friends, and fear that Asgore would ask other scientist to poke at Kanako's soul (Ceroba herself would admit that she really isn't sure herself which one dominates her thinking, but it's probably more selfish than she would like). She tries her best to at least talk to her, feed her and comfort her while maintaining the facade of a normal life (she tells everyone Kanako got sick and passed away, and it was too much to bear to bring anyone to her funeral) Kanako slowly becomes less and less responsive. Months before Clover falls, Kanako's body comes into contact with a white flower from the steamworks, and the remnants of her soul jump into on after sensing a stable, "living" body, awakening as her time's version of flowey.
-I don't have too much of an idea for the ending of Clover's journey, but in this version Ceroba has at least given up on using Kanako for a monster soul and instead is aiming for Asgore's. Part of the shock of the Ketsukane household portion would not just be the tapes, but the fact that Kanako's now motionless, amalgamated body can be found right after. It's initially assumed to be from Chujin's research before the truth comes out.
-this probably breaks a TON of rules of both undertale and Yellow, so if anyone has a less stupid sounding version of this, it would be neat (and also how it would somehow end in such a way as to not interfere with Undertale)
*species swap/overtale yellow/monster clover:
-martlet's wings are a carpentry invention she made to make her job easier. They aren't exactly the most reliable equipment though...
- clover is a fox monster for a kanako parralel just as how Frisk and Chara are commonly goat monsters. Their aesthetic still leans on western cultural ideas about foxes as opposed to kitsune elements, with the hat over their ears plus scarf over their nose in populated areas hiding enough facial features to pass as human. Otherwise, they're a star monster to mirror fellow cowboy, starlo.
-All the robots are largely the same (since they aren't monsters), though there's an implication that integrity's monster counterpart's dust has had some unnatural effect on Axis' personality (nowhere near asriel's rebirth). Chujin had BADDLY underestimated how fragile monsters can be, and axis' attempt to harvest essence and dust without a proper protocol led to some of the dust getting within his internal systems.
-one of the uncomfortable facts that clover is confronted with towards the end of each route is that if/when the monsters died, there would be no real way to know what dust is theirs or where they are now.
-part of the reason clover stands a chance is because their gun, unlike the rest of clover, is not magic but instead physical with a bit of extra kick from magic infusion. And a murder-high/genocide route naturally gets a little bloody... (though most kill would at least be "clean" enough shots through the chest)
-in each route, clover undergoes their own "undying"-esque transformation based on overwhelming justice that feeds into determination, resulting in the equivalent of their big shot mode. In neutral, flowey reducing them to their soul in his mind means their magic is no longer tied to a body or the danger of the real world and can desperately concentrate on self defense, in pacifist, Ceroba lands a clean hit and clover's sense of betrayal and desire for a just end pushes them to take one last stand (regardless of pacifist outcome, they don't have a strong enough soul for it to last forever). In Geno, axis manages to land the same killing blow he did on integrity, and clover is strong enough to spend the remainder of the story in their undying mode. Asgore manages to actually land his own fatal blow that would kill them in moments, but clover survived long enough to kill him and take his soul, leaving it ambiguous if it saves them.
*what-if: Ceroba succeeds in capturing Clover's soul
-basically what it says. Ceroba manages to get clover all the way to true lab (including pushing past alphys and mettaton) before Starlo warns them (or alternatively, if for some reason Flowey didn't reset the timeline when she takes Clover's soul in the pacifist fight). After the initial shock in true lab, Ceroba realizes one of the amalgams is Kanako. Even though part of her admits her plan won't work with the state her daughter's soul is in, she's too desperate to reverse her daughter's condition and after coming across Alphys' entry 17 (unused in-game, but her speech on how monsters can't handle DT), backstabs Clover in the hopes that their soul can act as a weight on the determination that overloaded the amalgam's body. Flowey's aversion to true lab plus the speed and chaos of events happening make him too slow to control the timeline since the amalgamate has enough determination to go beyond his file (a full human soul plus a DT injection plus a human essence injection plus boss monster DNA plus other monsters). The body stabilizes into a chimera, and all the monsters in the amalgam plus clover have their own sense of self and degree of control over their body (picture Asriel + Chara but way more chaotic, with kanako and clover as the ones most commonly in control). Everybody is confused and terrified, and Angst and tragedy ensue. Kanako isn't really happy that an innocent human had to die for her sake, and Clover is caught between anger at being betrayed, and their own recognition of the injustice Kanako and all the amalgamated monsters have endured.
*"Ketsukane Reborn"/Clover shares a soul with Kanako
-not my idea at all (there are quite a few cool takes on this), but yeah, clover shares their soul with Kanako similar to Dreemurr Reborn. Kanako has less angst about Clover giving up their soul (they're still sorry of course, but they didn't ever try to hurt Clover, and clover gave their soul up since it wouldn't be just to let them suffer so they're okay enough with what happened) and the two can be surprisingly in-sync with a mix of Kanako's enthusiasm (Kid was hopeful enough that her parent's serum would work) and Clover's desire for justice, compared to Asriel/Frisk being a bit more solemn and differing
-Since both of them keep their eyes open, the main way to tell who's more in control is the eye hue: Brown for Kanako, and Yellow for Clover.
-The monster side of the soul offers support in shooting sections with the same additions that ralsei and susie provide during spamton Neo (with the protection closer to Ceroba's diamond shields).
-Ceroba absolutely broke down SOBBING in a mix of joy and sadness to have her daughter back and for how much Clover gave. Clover assuring her it was okay was one of the first times they manifested.
-If they ever actually meet Dreemurr Reborn Asriel/Frisk, Asriel talks with Clover a lot apologizing for all he put them through, and Kanako talks with Frisk thanking them for not fearing her in True Lab.
-the human essence in kanako was the only reason why her body was even stable enough to absorb Clover's soul (clover confirmed this themselves before they gave it up), but even still, she does feel that it's unfair she got a second chance that no other amalgamates did. As they get older, the two search the world for the history of monster souls to see if there's any cure.
*Underswap yellow:
-I don't have ideas for most swaps since the cast mostly don't come in pairs, but in a role but not personality swap AU, Ceroba would swap with starlo and goes full weeaboo running the Far West. She's not anime weeb (though that's her equivalent to western movies as research material) but more like, glorious Nippon, edo-era, ken-sama shit. Starlo is a peaceful enough farmer who packs a gun after seeing its power in his interactions with human culture (if clover swaps, he got the gun they left behind when they died). Ceroba is moreso putting on act of overblowing what is "tradition" while making it more "trendy" based on human trash in waterfall in order to appeal to other monsters even though she wants to honor her family's legacy (not just her immediate family but ancestors), and Starlo leans into it more than Ceroba does for him. The culmination of the arc would more be her frustration with a self-imposed obligation to put up an act that celebrates the human alterations and ignores how her family and own personality really are, compared to Starlo getting too caught up in the act, and she is much more willing to kill a human for personal reasons.
-If clover does swap with another human, it's either patience (a la their items appearing in the ruins in ts!underswap) or integrity (as the major human of yellow's backstory). Whoever swapped with clover is the one going through the journey with yellow's cast and theming is closer to their soul, while clover went through the events the original human they swapped with did.
-Asgore, Toriel, undyne, napstablook, and Temmie are mostly the same as however you view/prefer their underswap selves. Running with the doll idea, neutral ending Temmie's memories feature a lot of ripped apart and mutilated dolls and stuffing, and an "odd" focus on a lack of arms... On Geno route they get absolutely ripped to shreds as their plush's body parts come off.
--Alternatively, going with the Asriel and Chara swap (the other one I usually see), then Chara-as-Flowey would DETEST Clover the instant their mask slips in neutral/genocide. They still wouldn't reveal their backstory, but there would be hints at the fact that they're pretty familiar with humans and have a VERY low impression of humanity (Clover's counterpart not excluded), even if circumstances have lowered their empathy for monsters as well. During true pacifist, Clover's counterpart's act of selflessness for the sake of monsterkind earns their begrudging respect, while during Geno, Chara-flowey promises them that they aren't all powerful and will have consequences some day like all humans (I've never really seen a consistent elaborated form of this swap so I kind of just ran with my own ideas of it, without too much personality swapping)
*Underfell Yellow
-I forget the general plot/backstory people go with and I haven't seen the original version in YEARS so I don't have much for Undertale/fell cast members who appear, aside that flowey was genuinely siding with Clover most of the journey and sends them away from toriel for their safety (from Toriel or the rest of the underfell underground is your call). Clover gives him the okay to move on without them once they realize there's no route in which Clover escapes without massive amounts of dustshed, but he's still shaken by losing them and it affects his relationship with Frisk on top of Frisk's connection to Chara.
-Martlet is motivated by a desire to climb the royal guard's (or their underfell equivalent) promotion ladder by ANY means for the power and prestige it brings. she tries to fake being clover's ally but is really, really bad at hiding her intentions so they usually avoid any backstab easily enough. She really shouldn't be qualified for the job, but she managed to cheat the initial results and competition for a position.
-starlo I already saw a cool bandit concept for and there is no improving on that
-ceroba's life went on a downward spiral ever since she married chujin only for him to become a disgraced, laughingstock of a scientist and leave the family broke, and then went on to focus all his efforts on soul and robotics projects with no care for the family before he had the "decency" to pass away. Ceroba is baddly shaken, and without realizing it, starts emotionally manipulating Kanako with the idea that her mother works very hard, is very tired, and needs more help to care for her child (not entirely untrue, but Kanako thinks it's somehow her own fault). After discovering Chujin's serum idea, Ceroba becomes borderline negligent trying to create the injection, with Kanako finding out and putting herself forward as a test subject in the belief that anything to help her mom is good. Ceroba at this point is too desperate to even question if she shouldn't do this, and we all know what happens next (though Kanako coming under the care of Underfell alphys is pretty bad...). All she has left is a degrading existence as a paid assistant to starlo's gang, having given up on her husband's plan or that Kanako might recover, but Clover's pure soul has given her a new plan that might salvage her family's dignity
-chujin has actively tuned up axis to be as much of a human murder machine as he can be after the integrity incident, partly to spite asgore and the royal guard by showing his creation is superior to anything they could ever hope to do, and partly out of a burning hatred of humanity. Axis has a sympathetic personality from his initial creation when chujin was less bitter and exploring the potential of artificial intelligence for good, but it's buried amongst data screaming at him to kill humans, and little is left for monsters or robots besides indifference (in a bit of blatant symbolism, his heart is now cracked from disrepair). In his more comical moments, think of abridged android 16 if he didn't have a bird interest.
*Outertale Yellow:
-Okay I really have nothing for this except the fact that at least one "star fox" joke with the Ketsukanes (and also Martlet, froggits, and any rabbit NPC) would be very funny to me.
*Storyshift Yellow:
-This one I don't have real ideas for at all (especially because I'm embarrassingly behind on the reboot and I don't wanna put lazy headcanons on it), but if Clover somehow fell before Chara (considering how neither of the skeletons are referenced in UTY), their fate would influence how the Dreemurrs attempt to keep Chara alive.
-Sans immediately pulls out his instant kill cage on clover in flawed pacifist unlike asgore having dodgeable attacks, and admits how blatantly unfair it is for the kid. On Geno, he would normally try to put up a fight during genocide even if recognized he would eventually lose, but he sees Clover's fight with Martlet's equivalent and admits he can't even hope to delay clover or make them reset enough as soon as he realizes they have counters for his tricks (laser during his turn which makes it much harder to dodge, attacking outside of battle, the natural advantages of resetting) after one or two reloads. He does manage to leave them with a comment asking whether the slaughter and chaos and hatred that will follow was worth it or just.
*Inverted Fate:
-I don't really have anything concrete for this either since I admittedly missed a lot of backstory, plus the creator already said Clover's journey would be incompatible with the the AU (and I'm not creative enough to imagine where/"when" most of the yellow cast would be in IF's world). That said, as a what-if, I do think It'd be neat if Flowey went through Yellow before the timeline reset and that a part of Asriel was still affected by that time with Clover (if only for how they weren't Chara, just as how he's dismissive of Frisk, as further evidence to himself of Chara's importance and specialness).
-I do think Martlet could also be interesting to examine due to anti-human sentiment becoming much more normalized thanks to both the backstory and Undyne's actions. Martlet would be a more dedicated member of the Royal Guard (and a little older than she is in UTY) who wouldn't be as friendly to frisk, but she can't help but have doubts.
*Poketale Yellow/pokemon themed AU where everyone is a Pokemon/Mystery Dungeon choices:
-Clover is a Jolteon
-flowey is a sunflora
-decibat is noibat,
-Dalv is golbat (I could find surprisingly few vampire-esque pokemon. Also, while acrobat matches the color scheme better, dalv is relatively weak and too isolated to have fully evolved).
-martlet is quaxwell (she evolves in Geno route. and I know she's not a duck but I found surprsingly few good blue bird pokemon besides ducklett, or Articuno)
-bailador is Hawlucha,
-starlo is like a junior Solgaleo (mainly on account of his parents, and I just can't see cosmoem or staryu working well. Feel free to make them work or come up with a better fit like a special solrock or minior)
-Ceroba is Ninetales (she usually hides her tails outside of battle, and they only show in full for the pacifist final)
-chujin is thievul
-Kanako is a vulpix, but she has a few traits of a thievul
-axis is golett.
(Feel free to put any of your own ideas for them, i'm sure i missed some new pokemon that are better fits. I just like Jolteon clover to go with Eevee frisk)
*Dreemurr/Ketsukane Swap (including Chara with the Dreemurrs).
-The dreemurrs aren't royalty, but rather "just" the monster equivalent of nobility, while the ketsukanes sit on the throne. King Chujin has a much less trusting view of humanity, but the Dreemurrs pleaded to him that an exception be made so long they ensured Chara never hurt anyone. As there was less pressure to be the "future" of monsters, Chara never developed the same sense of responsibility or duty to destroy the barrier for monsterkind. Their hatred of humanity remained though, and combined with their exposure to more average monsters and the sense that they were a burden on monsterkind, they wanted to be part of a "weapon" for all of their family's fellow monsters. They convinced Asriel to go ahead with their plan hoping that their fused soul might contain the essence necessary to empower all monsters to take revenge with a source of near infinite determination. Asriel/Chara stayed hidden from society after convincing asgore and Toriel that Chara died of a natural illness and the fusion was an accident, and begging that no one find out what happened lest they become saddled as monsterkind's saviors (really because chara wants all monsterkind to be powerful enough for war first and doesn't want them to have false hope until the power is in their hands). They secretly worked together with Chujin to extract the essence of their soul after convincing him of the potential and banking on his general distrust of humanity and faith in science to free monsterkind. Chujin realizes it's risky but after Chara already sacrificed themselves for this plan, he can't refuse.
- As kids who didn't fully think things through and a king working in secret without other scientists, the plan did not work at all. The Raw energy of Chara and Asriel's determination basically went berserk in response to an extraction attempt, leaving the fusion as an amalgamate constantly melting and reforming from attempts to save and load. Chujin was too guilt-ridden to tell the truth of what happened to Asgore and Toriel, so he lied to them that Asriel/Chara broke into his personal lab and tried the experiment on themselves and died, begging the Dreemurrs to tell everyone else it was a disease so that no one questions the sudden disappearance of a human. The body is too well hidden for the Dreemurrs to question anything at first, and they leave to grieve.
-Asgore is the first to realize something is off and eventually finds the amalgamate. He comes close to killing Chujin in rage for hiding his children's survival and mutation, but is stopped at the last second by Asriel (just sentient enough to protect Chujin since it was partly his and Chara's fault, but unable to communicate that to Asgore) Chujin swears that he thought finding them like this would be worse than thinking they died, then promises that if Asgore keeps this a secret to everyone, then the two can work towards a cure. Asgore hates that he was lied to, but still believes that Chara and Asriel tried to extract the essence on their own, so he accepts the proposal as Chujin's form of apology. Asgore works himself ragged through tests on his soul seeing if the growth between boss monster parents and children or a stable boss monster soul might reform the children, far past the safety point that Chujin recommends, but nothing works. As his condition pushes past the point of no return, Chujin finally realizes that another human soul would be the only thing powerful enough to restore the children, and bitterly passes the information on to Asgore, believing it's hopeless one would appear like Chara.
-This whole time, Asgore kept everything a secret from Toriel even as she became worried about his health. On his deathbed, he admits the truth (as he knows it) to her and apologizes for lying about their children since he didn't want her to see them so disfigured, but with no hope for recovery they have been secretly transported home without chujin's knowledge (leaving him constantly afraid they may one day reappear). Asgore begs Toriel to keep the same promise of secrecy and tells her that a human soul is Asriel and Chara's only hope. Toriel is infuriated with Chujin but out of Asgore's wishes, she never tells anyone and keeps them hidden, while planning to take a human soul should the chance ever arise
-Toriel DESPISES herself for the killing she's planning to do even if it's for saving her kids (that it's for them is the only reason she even takes this path), and though she believes that Asgore and Chujin both lied to her (the later not receiving any sympathy), she still blames herself for everything that led to the transformation even though she really is innocent ("if only I paid more attention") and is caught between her protective urges and her mission. She fights with a cult-like animal mask based on a goat (like a stereotypical image of Pagan, fertility European religions), giving her longer horns and a generally demonic appearance.
*Deltarune / Deltarune Yellow (whether it's the Yellow Cast in regular Deltarune or in Hometown's past is your call, but most of these apply to the former):
-Martlet is stuck doing a bunch of odd jobs around hometown since she hasn't really decided on a careeer or college. She's related to Berdly as a way older cousin, and the age gap that puts her in higher end of asriel's age group means they don't really hang out much.
-Dalv is another shut-in, though he occasionally submits anonymous organ recordings and children's books to the library.
-Decibat is one of the workers at the library and can be most counted on to shush anyone, even anyone else trying to shush someone.
-Starlo runs a movie watching club focused on westerns. The rest of the feisty five put up with it but each has their own genres they prefer
-Bailador runs a really weird dance aerobics program at a local gym.
-the Ketsukanes would be one of the more notable families in town like the Dreemurrs and Holidays (like how Toriel runs the school, asgore ran the police, and Noelle's mom is the mayor) due to chujin being a capable inventor (in his case, less authority in town and more out of town fame that trickles back home) and his and ceroba's families both having lived there for decades, but he had a pretty big falling out incident with Dreemurrs regarding their choice to adopt Kris (he didn't trust having a human in the community, let alone the chief of police having one). After that public blowup with Asgore, Kris was mysteriously attacked in the woods while alone, and while there was no official evidence of who did it (Kris was too young and too hurt to remember) and no one was charged, rumors quickly singled out chujin and his reputation was destroyed, since no one wanted to be friendly to someone who hurt a Dreemurr (though most townsfolks are more worried about Toriel, asgore, and Asriel's feelings than kris'). The family moved away to a city where he works with the tech and robotics companies he already designed for--the irony that in spite of his hatred for humans he now has to live in an environment full of them as well monsters has not been lost on him, but he's too stubborn to go back or make up with the dreemurrs and just avoids humans as much as possible now. The ketsukanes.generally dress more like a "modern" Japanese family (e.g. Kanako wears a school uniform), though chujin isn't quite a salaryman.
-Ceroba occasionally visits to talk with her old friend Starlo and pay respects to family buried in the town cemetery, but otherwise she's grown distant from most of the people living there and has awkward talks about her family's new life which are mostly done out of politeness obligations. She isn't distrusting of Kris like Chujin is, but given the nature of Chujin leaving, they're naturally not comfortable around each other (she wishes Kris could remember what happened that day and exonerate her husband, while Kris knows it wasn't chujin and feels guilty for being unable to absolve him, but they still dread thinking about that attack and being reminded of those who refuse to accept them as part of other monsters), and Toriel is very cold toward Ceroba since that's the closest person to chujin she can take out her anger on.
-Kanako was pretty young at the time (she's currently Asriel's age, and left when she was just 7 or 8 when Kris was a newly adopted younger sibling), so she's not too close to Asriel and Dess' school group and she never really knew Kris' school group (she's never met Susie before the events of Deltarune, and she only saw Kris once or twice due to her father's hostility--she mostly knows Noelle and catti thanks to her time with their older sisters). The rare times she visits with her mom during summer is her mostly just her seeing what's changed, telling her old class what city life is like and awkwardly trying to get to know the town's teens as an older teen/young adult (most of them are weirded out since they don't really know her except from their parents talking about chujin unfavorably, Kris is too quiet and too uncomfortable about what happened to get close, and Noelle's own problems with Dess make it hard to talk since the original in-between point for them is now gone). She might have ended up as Asriel and Dess' friend or at least someone they occasionally talk to online since they were too young to fully get what happened or blame her, but Dess' disappearance left just Asriel and kanako, and the ketsukane-dreemurr family history made it too awkward to talk as just the two of them, so they stopped keeping up around high school.
- Some of Chujin's old concept sketches on an automated police robot that can still be found in the station's files are basically axis without the steampunk pipes or heart design. If one file was part of the dark world it would resemble a sleeker axis insecure about being incomplete, with the spare requirement being to "finish" building him (if you do so, he ends up falling in love with the machine to thrash your ass, and much hilarity ensues with rouxls and sweet cap'n cakes in hometown). Noelle's cool robot face is needed to briefly placate him since his facial recognition concept was never exactly well developed (blame chujin's biases for making him associate human faces with criminals, and not really working out a monster face).
-clover is a kid in asriel's age group who happens to both go to the same college as him, and was friends with kanako in high school (ironically, as much as chujin didn't want a human in hometown, he accepted that in a city would realistically be impossible to keep kanako away from any. Most what keeps him away from hometown is his pride + sunk cost fallacy at this point). However, clover doesn't realize Asriel and kanako knew each other for a while since they (clover) never saw a need to bring up one to the other, and the two of them didn't ever mention the past (and kanako herself goes to a different college). That connection would only come up as part of any storyline you do
*Deltatraveler yellow:
-note: I know that deltatraveler has a set plan of chapters, and I doubt this could freely drop in-between any of them with no trouble--this is just a what-if I can see happening towards the end of the journey, but at least before toontown. Also, I would not assume by default that Kris, Susie, or Noelle know any of the Deltarune counterparts I imagined above, since they're coming from a universe closer to the Deltarune we know.
-Neutral: Kris, susie, and Noelle all get dropped into the steamworks (at a point between its shutdown and Clover entering) and accidentally turn on Axis. Shenanigans ensue, including Noelle pulling out a cool robot face that manages to placate Axis multiple times as Kris sneaks away and Susie getting pissed off at the lab puzzles. She and Noelle get stuck in the factory and they come out with the guide robot screen stuck on susie's weapon. Kris gets stuck in the lab and deals with both Axis and Yellow's Flowey who's confused about how his Determination is being overridden and tries to kill Kris, though before a fight can happen Axis interferes. The rest of the gang doesn't entirely realize they're in a version of the underground (no monsters besides sans, and they aren't familiar enough with the references to other people/places) until Kris tells Susie they ran into Flowey again, and on cue he appears. Since he's a different flowey who doesn't know the rest of them vs the main one tailing them, Susie can instantly cut the bullshit with him and tries to take him out, but once again Axis interferes, and UTY flowey leaves. After the encounter, the main chapter 1 Flowey appears unbeknownst to anyone and plans to use the experience with his counterpart to get a better read on how to deal with Kris, Susie, and Noelle.
-sans takes the place of Mo and mentions he hasn't ever been here even though it feels familiar to him for some reason but also...not. (he's alluding to the underground as a whole, and that he's not from Yellow's universe/timeline).
-pacifist: Ceroba appears early on after noticing one of Chujin's devices in her home went off (it was linked to Axis activity). Upon realizing there's a pure human soul (she really sensed it before the gang sees her, and it's implied she avoids them on neutral as a result to leave the job of killing Kris to Asgore and the Guard since she doesn't need the soul or care much for asgore's plan if it's at 5 souls already), she approaches as an ally to get the gang to Hotland and the royal scientist (Susie is annoyed that she won't outright fight back against robots like the rest of the team). She recognizes Kris' soul is odd, but she's confident enough in it being "pure" and keeps trying to pull them to the side to earn sympathy points while seperating them from Susie and Noelle and just generally being a bit of a control freak which puts Kris, Susie, and Noelle on edge. She accompanies Kris through the factory and "accidentally" gets cut off from Susie and Noelle, during which time she really tries to butter up Kris as an ally. Susie and Noelle catch up soon after the lab and accidentally trip an alarm that alerts the underground to the group's presence, causing Ceroba to panic, grab Kris, and run for it before getting separated from Susie and Noelle in Axis' arena. After repelling Axis, Ceroba tries to make a play for kris' soul, but they make it clear to her their soul cannot be trusted or controlled even if they were comfortable letting her use it. The gang is angry that she lied to them and tried to kill one of them, though at least Noelle can't help but feel sorry (without agreeing) after she admits her desire to uphold chujin's legacy and help kanako (without ever explicitly admitting what happened). In turn, once she hears the trio has their own family to get back to, she promises to grab the royal guard's attention and hold them off, assuring them the royal scientist might recognize kris' soul wouldn't work for the kingdom's needs and help them leave to avoid trouble.
-obliteration: Because the soul forces the group's way into the steamworks without turning it on, Ceroba isn't alerted at first and Axis is force booted in safe mode. The soul destruction scene includes Mo making a brief appearance (sans ain't gonna help you outside of key locations, so mo ends up running into the group none the wiser while attempting to scrounge around for stuff to sell), and for trying to kill someone that doesn't even pick a fight and still tries to help after the first threat, Kris slam dunks the soul into the pink goop. (Alternatively: during the lab portion Kris pours the acid on the soul if you attempt to make them drink it). The rest of the gang is a mix of desensitized and tired enough to let the Soul destroy Axis ("helps" he's just a robot to them) in the second encounter if Kris is forced to catch him in time--failing to do so drops obliteration. The final fight is with Ceroba after Axis' danger signal manages to trigger one of Chujin's devices, and she realizes you're not only destroying Chujin's work, but a threat to the whole underground (and kanako in particular since you're going in the same direction where Kanako currently is) while bitterly noting that of course the next human would be impure. She uses shields, red attacks, the steamworks itself, and a partner to put up a hard fight against kris, susie, and noelle given how powerful they are at this point. From there I can see two different partners
--If it's still pre-clover, Ceroba is accompanied by Starlo since he refused to let her explore alone and together they can put up a hell of a fight in sync (especially with starlo getting more serious, and providing more unpredictable attacks to counterbalance Ceroba's). If Ceroba dies first, the full weight of the situation hits him and he starts bringing out some magic based on both his farm background and his astral nature. If Starlo dies first, Ceroba curses that she sees yet another person close to her die and pulls out her mask, going into a lighter version of her pacifist phases (she's more righteously angry, but can't hold onto the same hope for chujin's legacy that pushed her in pacifist). I feel like Ceroba would go down first since she could shield any attacks plus starlo never gets a "hard" fight, but I could also see him trying to jump in front of a heavy attack meant for Ceroba that she wouldn't have time to shield up for.
--If it's closer to Yellow (perhaps because the grind takes so long that the events in steamworks go from corresponding with right before Clover to the Dunes and Wild East?), Ceroba is accompanied by a pacifist clover who tagged along despite her insistence not to (If they either die or somehow win, her plan is impossible to fulfill, plus she has enough basic decency to be uncomfortable putting a child up against killers). If clover goes down first, she naturally goes rage mode at losing both an innocent child and her plan (and the soul/Kris sense that "someone"/Flowey tried to reset but couldn't), and she goes diet pacifist like before. If Ceroba goes down first, clover's LV jumps to 8 in rage and they pull out big shots and dodges (they aren't high enough LV for the laser, but will spam big shots late in the fight) alongside attacks based on Undertale Yellow's attack system and the yellow soul portion of photoshop Flowey. Susie and Noelle flat out refuse any participation the second Clover gets involved, and when it falls to just clover they outright assist them against the soul (Susie and Noelle will force spare themselves but they can't spare clover since Clover is too enraged to back down from the fight). After landing the killing blow, clover's soul slowly starts charging the laser in a last ditch attack, but it shatters before it can fire, and they collapse. In this case, I think Ceroba would always die first thanks to protecting Clover, but I want to consider the possibility of her surviving as a what-if. The gang can't exactly fall much further than killing Ness and Paula (plus whatever happens in Ts!underswap with Chara), but being unable to stop the soul from forcing a kill on clover even with their assistance would be one of the second-to-last straws.
-the elevator to Hotland proper is a grey door. The gang is...a tad exasperated by this (Susie: "ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?") but accept that they have no real choice since the way before the arena is blocked and either the commotion from axis or the obliteration route has notified the guard to their presence.
Doubt anyone will read my ramblings or be seriously inspired, but I just love this game, and I love to imagine it together with all the other cool stuff in Undertale and fandom

Thanks for answering my last Ask!
Now to finish the more Asks I had planned (hence the 1/?.).
It is interesting, looking at the stickers again. Phantom is the only one w/o a spot of red, which I think kind of fits them, considering Phantom's kind of well, weird (and dead) status in DR.
Also really interesting Dust Sans and Frisk and Dust Sans and Phantom parallel each other a lot in terms of backgrounds and poses. While Dust Sans and Papyrus don't really as much. Though, that is kind of fitting in a way. Paps and Phantom kind of parallel each other too. Don't know if any of this was intentional, but I still thought it was cool. (Talking about the Dead Ringer stickers again).
It is cool u are still working on the Hazbin Hotel Undertale AU btw! But I understand u have been busy. I am excited for more of that, and ofc, the next episode of Dead Ringer, whenever that ends up being!
(Not mentioning Bonnytale here, because while I am excited for that, I know it is not going to be for awhile. For the reasons u gave. And/or etc. Understandably so).
Also, just wanted to ask, I know it is not super likely, considering how Dead Ringer is, there probably isn't a ton of time to really show them (which, totally understandable), and u do what u want w/ DR ofc; I am curious to see whatever u do, whatever that may be. Even though I have a feeling my heart might get emotionally destroyed in coming episodes. I love darker, horror-y, etc. stuff, but I can also be quite the softie sometimes. It is a funny mix!
Anyways, just wanted to ask if we may see Muffet and/or Grillby (I think Dust Sans left Undyne at Grillby's?? I am not sure, can't completely remember) some/etc. in Dead Ringer? Totally get if we don't though and like, I don't need to show up at all, I am happy with the characters being focused on and stuff already, and there is also always other series's (that I have seen stuff involving the character(s) with those series in some form). I am just curious.
Last thing, just wanted to ask if u have checked out TS!Underswap!? It is a super a great fangame u can find on like Gamejolt. That is a take of Underswap, but more so keeps the OG personalities of swapped characters. But the new roles/role swaps creates really cool twists w/ the characters and the Underground itself (the Underground is very different because of these role swaps, and because they decided to swap the seasons of the areas too, which causes the areas to be quite different too). They also want to expand and/or try to expand on characters and stuff too.
Anyways, it is really cool, with a lot of mysteries actually, actually quite horror-y and stuff too like OG UT (and DR) could be too, routes, choices, fun gameplay, and some really great takes on characters
(like Sans/Crossbones, Chara, and Muffet are so great. Paps, Asgore, Burgerpants, and the bits we see or know about Alphys and Asriel sound fun and/or look cool too. Flowey is very, different, for various reasons, 1. being they are not Asriel, because he is alive, but Flowey is great too. And the Temmie(s) who have swapped places with Flowey are great and sometimes quite terrifying too. Just great takes on characters all around!) and good, fun OC's too.
So yeah, just wanted to know (I know u have been busy though) if u have checked out TS!US! If u haven't, u totally should if u ever get the chance. I get if u don't want to and/or can't though!
Alright, I am done with asking Ass once again (for now). See ya, and I hope u are doing fine! 2/2.
For the stickers
1. Papyrus and Phantom are both in the same picture, being that the scarf is red. Sans does not have red for-
2. Sans and Papyrus are facing one path while Dust is facing the other, both are facing back of Dust. Sans has the same pose as Dust because even tho they are facing different paths t-
3. Grillby and Muffet may get a special appearance, maybe not
I’ve heard of TSUnderswap, i wasn’t ever a fan of the swap one so im not sure if i’ll like this one too. It’s a nice concept tho and there’s some cool things about it, i’ll try to check it out more if i can
i’m doing alr, thanks!

It occurs to me that we never saw kris or suzy in the epilogue (though I think the latter was mentioned once? Idk). Did uh… are they doing decently?
// the darkworld arc had been abandoned/retconned. while there IS a UT-universe version of Kris and Susie (assuming Frisk isn't Kris in UT, tho Kris is still very much their own person regardless) in AFR, we will only know Susie in the redraw. (again... assuming UT Susie is Suzy and not a sister like the catty and catti situation.)
x-x we just know too little about DR we don't even know how the universes mirror each other and the timelines are all WHACK. its a nightmare to write for or even theorize about. i esp dont wanna think about how they'd change in the time skips of AFR.
anyway in the redraw we'll see a LOT more of Susie as Frisk's whole journey is about befriending her. i didn't add her and MK into the epilogue because we need a proper foundation that the redraw will provide. at that point, my Susie would diverge from canon Suzy heavily as her story would be quite different.
uh. speaking of that arc...
So. My original plan for the rewrite was for Gaster and Riverperson to have worked together in the prime timeline. then gaster got yeeted from time, leaving his work behind. Then, Chara would run away to the underground looking for a purpose and an escape from Asriel's BS and the island. (though, thinking on it, logically Mt.Ebott wouldn't be on monsterland... as that's exiled from humanity. so idk about that anyway)
Anyway exploring true lab Chara accidently uncovers an artificial darkworld and gets stuck as a ghostly narrator again, this time as a cherub with Feylow. Frisk, Susie and MK would be the party and they'd have to make their way home together. I've heavily considered this portion being a fangame-only material, for better play-value.
but uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
ughhhhhhhh.
ugghghh.... gaster.
The story itself can keep gaster to a bare minimum. The guy is scattered across time. he's not directly involved at all. at most we know he did SOMETHING to chara in the prime timeline with their soul and now things are on the fritz (what caused this AU) up until fake DW, where they're possessed again.
(˘・_・˘)
I just don't want to play with DR canon at all anymore. darkworlds are inherently going to tie into that. and granted, in UT canon there's entry #17 that implies a growing darkness... it's not a stretch that Gaster could of done this. And he DID have a DT extractor, and the timeline is vague but the similar wording (and how old the core is) could imply he was around Chara's time. None of this is a stretch
buuuut working with Darkworld, even if it's a fake one, is too close to DR canon and we just don't know much yet. when i first did the darkworld, i thought it'd be a fun excursion into the same chapter 1 area... but i got too into the improv and imagination side of things without understanding the original at all. (and bad improv) it didn't really hit me that DR was it's own game and lore until Chapter 2, and I realized just how early on we are into that game's story.
I just... I can work with what I've got, I can avoid DR canon as much as I can but ultimately, I'm working with 2/7ths worth of puzzle pieces.
I don't wanna do any of this. Gaster used to be a "free for all" in the fandom to do whatever timeline/lore thing you wanted to pull of cause he was free real-estate. but now DR is treating him more and more as a character and I don't wanna touch the guy as he's going to be jossing the story.
idk what to do in all honesty. The darkworld portion IS important, Chara goes through major character development that the Continue Arc is built on. But I've been struggling with Feylow as a concept, and well, this. what the hell am I going to do.

this is honestly kind of hilarious to me bc even if WTNV is 2012 and UT was 2015, Cecil was never in the sexyman camp - and he definitely could have been, because i posit that while most ppl say tumblr sexyman antics began with the onceler, i'd argue it actually began even earlier than that.
if we REALLY wanted to talk "heritage sexyman throwdown", i feel like we'd be remiss not to mention the absolute chokehold dr. who, supernatural, and sherlock had on ppl. and those *definitely* suffered from the sexyman treatment (skinny white man angst, endless AUs, no holds barred in-fighting, OTP wars, problematic shipping... you name it.) i mean it, that shit was the BLUEPRINT for modern fandom fuckery. i'd seen ppl threaten other ppls lives simply bc someone said boo about benedict cumberbatch's flat ass.
and even if it didn't explode until 2011ish, i'd say fwiw homestuck deserves a spot in honorable mentions too, cause baby, gamzee makara crawled so every awful characterization of human!bill cipher could run. i get *why* it isn't included (they're canonically kids) but back then you couldn't escape the deluge of gamzee content, nor the swathes of sweaty teenagers who would buy Rockin' Rye on their parents credit card in time for the big local convention for extra cosplay points.
and this is no hate on any of these communities, tbh, bc again, i'm arguing we wouldn't have the ironic sexyman landscape we have today if it weren't for these worlds colliding.
i am glad we are past that point because for the most part, i really feel like most Fandom Toleraters are chill these days enough not to repeat the mistakes of our past. but you gotta remember where you came from to know where you're headed, yknow? so, uh, cautionary tale or not, i'm happy to see people debating this stuff civilly across the board, rather than how it used to be. tumblr really grew up in a big way from my perspective over the last 13ish years, and i love what this place is now.
the funniest thing to me about this whole tumblr sexyman debate is that it's being presented as like "tumblr veterans" who love cecil vs. these new young interlopers who love sans when like
but
girls, girls. you're both elderly.

HOSTILE TAKEOVER UPDATE 3: Noelle and Berdly
Coming in with what is likely the final of these daily updates before moving onto (hopefully) more weekly content updates, I’m happy to present Noelle and Berdly taking up the roles of Kris and Susie as they do in Deltarune!
Noelle - In this AU, Noelle is a downtrodden girl raised by a single mother and her family’s long-time babysitter: Papyrus, and his family. Though she was already familiar with loss due to her sister and father’s passing, she was in the process of recovering when her close friend Napstablook went on tour with their cousin. She awaits their return, playing their records every night and checking up on their social feed to help them sleep and stave off the troubling recurring nightmares of someone calling out to them in the middle of a snowstorm...
Berdly - As he is in Deltarune is an egotistical tryhard, except in this situation there was no spelling bee that brought him closer to Noelle, no reason to get closer and risk making the sheltered sensitive girl cry, and so they never became friends, meaning Berdly remained unnoticed and unappreciated. Berdly is a soul desperate for attention, doing any and every hair-brained scheme his gigantic brain comes up with. And though he more than excels as the number 2 in class, nothing seems to ever drive the attention of anyone his way, making him resentful, especially towards Noelle, who he sees as someone who’s never had to try and always gets to be number 1 and always has people caring about her.
Design Changes
Noelle wears a very different color scheme as in DR due to me following the idea of the fallen child having to resemble the protagonist in the original Undertale universe. In this case, Mettaton. going off of designs of colored MTT, I decided to give her a more pink and black sort of look. The dress is also from MTT himself, who gifted it to Noelle for spending so much time with Napstablook.
These are all big changes since the og post I made describing Noelle’s backstory in HT, cause I wanted to really link this au to a proper undertale universe and I thought Storyshift would be perfect. Now this has no express permission from the Storyshift person themselves and I am not affiliated with Storyshift and their au in any way, and it’s likely I’ll have to make my own UT AU just for this - which I would have no problem with, but I just thought it’d be most appropriate to making a unique AU that’s still cohesive.
As for Berdly, his design was based off of a suggestion from @randomguyed , and I owe actually both designs to them because with their help I reworked the designs I had for them originally (seen below). But yes, Berdly’s design is meant to be a blend of “trying too hard to be cool”, but with the same quirks that make Berdly himself. Not pictured but at the back is a rainbow patch sewn by his mother, because the Jacket itself was a request from his mother. As for what’s on his face, it’s a VR headset/google glass thing for gamers, idk if such a thing is real but Berdly would absolutely get one and look dumb in it. It’s the perfect way to keep his eyes hidden imo, to mirror Susie having her eyes hidden most the time in ch1. I also just making his glasses rather reflective, but I thought this’d be much funnier.
ANYWAY, thanks for reading and have a good day. The next proper post will probably be next week but don’t surprised if I upload some doodles to this blog! Anyway, @mmani-e out!

Design notes:
-Hoodie design is reminiscent of Chara’s shirt (In UT, Asriel has multiple stripes while Chara just had one stripe)
-Asriel wears gloves and shoes. I am aware that Boss Monsters don’t wear footwear & gloves but I just though it looked cool.
-Wears a pair of aviator goggles. Inspired by Digimon.
-Uses equipment called “Jump Gears” strapped to his sides. They function similar to the ODM gear from Attack on Titan. Dr. Alphys likely watched said anime and got inspired…
-I set Asriel’s age in UT as an 8-year-old and based his design from the in-game sprites. Meanwhile the 12-year-old Asriel design is a bit scruffier and some floof here and there and has um.... boyband-ish hair? (Honestly, I’m not sure what hair style I gave him, lol)
- Asriel will use a normal sword called the Dogger Blade based on Kris’s sword from Deltarune.
-He is also armed with the Worn Dagger from Undertale. After Asriel’s resurrection, he inherited the dagger as a momentum to his lost sibling Chara.
Lore notes:
-Flavor text is added throughout the character sheets. Originally, they are just notes for myself, but I might as well show em off here too. Some of them may poke fun at Asriel to the point that he may respond in green text…
-The way Asriel is resurrected is basically borrowed from the Dreemurr Reborn AU. Only the circumstances behind his resurrection are different. Events would cause Frisk to merge their SOUL within Flowey, allowing them to restore Asriel’s monster body. However, because Frisk is using their Determination as a substitute for 7 human SOULS, they are the one recreating it from scratch. Frisk only has enough power to make Asriel into a 12-year-old, and the form is permanent until Asriel ages normally.
-Asriel is still haunted by his past of what he did as “Flowey the Flower” and does not want to reveal himself that he is alive with Frisk’s SOUL. He takes on the name of “Azzy” instead. Unlike other AU's where it’s his nickname, the name "Azzy" will serve as his second alias instead.
-Acts like a rebellious teen but it’s really a cover to hide his insecurities. It should be noted that even after resurrection, Asriel has not regained the love and compassion he lost when his SOUL was destroyed. Thus, he retains his troublemaking traits from when he was “Flowey.” Inspired by the Underphase AU by Azen, ( @its-not-aphase ) & https://yet-another-saved-asriel.tumblr.com/ . To some extent, Susie from Deltarune is also an inspiration for this version of Asriel.
-New abilities added. One of them will be called “Hyperdeath Slash,” which Asriel dashes forward with his sword and slashes his opponent faster than they can react. Normally used to destroy an opponents’ weapons or destroy thick armor. This will be his signature move.
- In this world, a glitch in the post pacifist timeline caused elements from Deltarune to seep into the world, and beings called “Titans” have spawned out from Dark Fountains all over the world. Hometown Kingdom is this AU’s version of Deltarune’s Hometown and is protected by the Royal Sky Knights, the successor to the Royal Guard seen in Undertale. In the story, Asriel undergoes training to become one of the knights for Hometown to fight the Titans from Deltarune, but will operate under his new alias “Azzy” instead.

“I have to say my main disagreement is the fact that rotten reflections is out of character? It’s an au heavily with heavy use of headcannons to help develop the characters and plot in a way that interlinks everything,”
And I love interlinking stuff, and the use of headcanons can be awesome. However, you can use headcanons, while still making the characters feel in-character, and I don’t think RR always succeeds at that (won’t say they always fail though, they don’t).
“the author quite literally made entire magic systems to explain ninpo and mystics so that it could use it in greater depth when creating the rest of the fic”
Okay? This is an awesome thing, true. This is something that RR excels at. However, once again, I do think you can do this, while making the characters, feel, more in-character, you know? Like, there are these really good Undertale (and kindaaaaa, somewhat Deltarune) fics I read, called “The Golden Quiche” (a post-pacifist, though only after a lot of routes, Surface Undertale fic, with a lot of world-building, politics, great character stuff, and etc.) and “The Lone Defender” (which is like, an alternate reality of TGQ, that had just a few/some different things in it’s history that caused a very different outcome for that reality. Though the two realties are still very connected. And it is also the author’s own take on DustTale), have a super in-depth magic systems and exploration into Monsters, Humans, and Lichs and Lichborns (some Lichborns are also Seers, and that is another part of their magic system(s)), and a bunch of other stuff. It is so good and awesome. But the thing is, even with all that, even with all that awesome stuff, the characters and their development still feel true to them and in-character. Heck, characters is one of the creators’ strongest points, among a bunch of other stuff they do awesomely. Really rec.’ing these fics btw, if you are an UT/DR fan, and even if you aren’t honestly! So my point to all of this is, I do love the exploration on Ninpo and mystics and them creating a magic system, I just wish the characters (or at least some of them) were done somewhat better too.
I didn’t want to get into this, I have been mainly (trying) to ignore this fic (though, sometimes it can be hard to, I see pretty often honestly), because I do know while it ended up not being for me (even though I thought the premise and stuff sounded really interesting, and the prose and stuff is written pretty well. I had really, really wanted to love it)
Yes, it is an AU, and I am fine w/ some of OOC-ness (sometimes) when it comes to AUs (though my favorite AUs, are AUs where the characters still feel like themselves at their core, or sometimes a mixture of characters depending on stuff, and/or etc.), sometimes way more fine, than others (I can be very picky or not at all, it depends, lol). But “Rotten Reflections” OOC-ness has made it kinda hard for me to continue to read it; even though I really did try to love it and gave it multiple chances and shots. And I have given it a lot of chances, and a lot of leeway when it comes to to the OOC-ness of the characters, but at a certain point, I just had to stop reading it, because of the OOC-ness (of both Rise and 2012), and to be quite frank, the nerfing of 2012, and acting like 2012 would be that scared and in fear after all the stuff they have been through (they fought literally Satan basically, demon(s), seen the whole Earth get blown up, or however u would call that, etc. And out of all the versions, 2012 is probably one of the most murderous and violent /affectionate).
It doesn’t help, that people in the comments are acting like this is the best/one of the best interpretations of the 2012 crew, and I just can’t see it?
Like, Rotten Reflections does have a lot going for it, but the biggest issue I have with it, is the characterization (imo), and it is hard for me to look past that, and get into it, despite the good stuff going for it.
Like, 2012 Leo, the author admitted to I think, not knowing how to write him for the first some chapters or so. Which, fine, sometimes it takes some time to getting into writing a character well; I can and do understand that, but as someone who loves 2012 Leo a lot, I wish he had been written better in the earlier chapters. And even in the later chapters where he started to get written a bit better than earlier chapters, I wouldn’t say he still feels a whole like 2012 Leo if I am being honest. Later chapters 2012 Leo is better, than earlier chapters, but I still wouldn’t call him super in-character and I still wouldn’t call his characterization to be super good (however, I will give credit, that they tried to make improvements in writing him, and that admit, since 2012 and Rise Leo are my favorites of both versions, I can be very picky about how they are written, so my standards might be too high).
“Whilst I don’t have a string opinion on 12 dee or 12 Leo”
And this kind of my issue, I feel like the 2012 crew aren’t always being written in a way that leaves the impact they should be leaving.
I already talked about my issues with how 2012 Leo is (sometimes) written, and while I think 2012 Donnie is more in-character overall, I couldn’t really tell you that much about what he has going in this fic so far? 2012 Leo too, though, at least he has been getting the strike-throughs, so that is something at least. However, maybe this is just because of the more the arcs and more long-form structure (like how others talked about, including the RR creator), and the 2012 crew and/or certain characters will get more focus and stuff in due time. Honestly, it is probably this; at least somewhat/a fair amount.
“the mystery of the strike through thoughts for Leo has been woven in pretty well and I look forward to seeing it explored”
I was also interested in the strike-throughs, but not interested enough in them to continue reading, considering my thoughts on how 2012 Leo had been written so far. I will give credit that the mystery of it, almost did make me stick with it/the fic though; at least a bit longer.
“because the fic is in its first arc getting ready to follow through the structure 12 uses commonly”
I don’t really see the point of this sentence? I will just say that I don’t mind arcs or more slowburn stuff, I just wished the characters seemed more in-character.
And just because you think it follows a structure that 2012 used commonly, doesn’t somehow mean that it feels very 2012 to me (at least not the characters for the most part).
However, I do like the structure and/or the structure they are trying to go for. I love arcs, and slowburns, and (more) longform stuff!
“12 raph is never portrayed as overly angry in the fic and instead has many instances of anxiety and sensory overload including a panic attack scene that is pretty well written if you ask me”
And 12 Raph is probably one of the more well-written of the 2012 cast in the fic; credit where credit is due.
“12 mikey is shown to be incredibly empathetic who is dedicated to helping these mystery turtles just because one is injured and goes out of his way to help them even against Leo’s and raphs best wishes”
Which, even if both Leo and Raph had worries and fears, I think, more often than not, esp. if (and I think they did, it has been a bit since I really, really read RR), they knew about the Rise kids being brothers, would have helped. Like, Leo and Raph have sometimes really gone of their way to help people and animals and/or aliens and/or etc. Sure, they do/can still have their fears and suspicions and worries, but they probably would have helped them instead of not wanting to. Maybe they might have wished to plan some first, or tried to be cautious about it, but I do think they probably would have wanted to help the Rise kids actually.
“and he still has bite to him considering in the chapter 4 fight scene /whatever chapter that fight is from rise dees perspective, mikey is noted to be holding his own incredibly well against dee by keeping up with the pace that’s been set”
Okay, and that is great; it is something RR does, that other fics don't with 2012 Mikey, and that is good. I just wish the same courtesy was given to the other 2012 cast members, instead of acting like they would be completely and totally helpless and in “constant fear".
Also, Rise Donnie also had thoughts (and I talk about a little below this, some Rise Donnie’s thoughts I didn’t really like, but maybe that is just because of biased, unreliable narrator reasons), about 2012 Mikey hurting or whatever basically, they kind of gave some, Rise Crew adopts 2012 Mikey vibes, which, I don’t like.
Also, not really surprised that 2012 Mikey is given a lot of focus and “love” or mental stuff going on w/ him (i.e., 2012 Mikey has psychosis in this fic, while 2012 Leo doesn’t it appears, even though he has it too, but honestly, that is more nitpicky of me, than anything, and I wouldn’t really consider an issue with the fic or anything. Just more like something I wish could be explored with not only 2012 Mikey, but 2012 Leo too, because I find that kind of stuff interesting), a lot of TMNT 2012 and Rise crossovers seem very heavily biased towards TMNT 2012 Mikey after all (which, RR seems to have/do at least some. Maybe). A lot of times in determinant to the other characters (2012 and sometimes Rise), and sometimes even 2012 Mikey’s own character itself.
“Rise leo and donnie are out of character due to their circumstances of being heavily injured and needing to rely on their turtle instincts”
And I find this pretty interesting myself. They are written mostly fine, considering this. Though, I don’t like some of Rise Donnie’s thoughts about the 2012 crew, but besides that, he is written, fine. Rise Leo is written fine enough too, not one of the best Rise Leo characterizations I have seen (but again, like I said, Rise Leo is a favorite of mine, so I have pretty high standards for him and/or I can be somewhat/pretty picky about him. Though/and honestly, compared to some other stuff, RR does a lot better job with Rise Leo than some (others) I have seen imo. But I guess that could be partially just because I find good, well-written, in-character, and/or etc. Rise Leo to be pretty hard to find sometimes. Imo though), but fine overall, probably one of the better-written characters in RR (at least from what I can remember, like I have said already, it has been a bit since I have really read RR, after I decided that it probably just wasn't for me, after giving it multiple shots. So maybe my mind would be changed for the better or worse here, if I ever decided to give RR another shot).
“and so far what’s been established in the fic is proving to be pretty engaging and it’s a story about recovery, recovering from emotional slights and physical fights. That’s what makes it so good and the character arcs are being established currently until they can reach their best again, its not a bash fic but a recovery from trauma fic with a surely intricate plot woven in.”
And I like all the stuff you are saying here, and I wish I could get behind it.
But for the reasons I have already said, and more I will get into, it is kinda of hard to. I won’t straight-up say it is a Bashing fic, at least not on purpose, but some of the elements kind of make it feel like one, sometimes, is all. For both reasons I have said, and some of the reasons Marie has already said.
And to say more and/or to expand on some stuff. 2012 Casey is written to be a pretty huge coward, and maybe even completely stupid (don’t quote me on this though, like I say somewhere else, it has been a bit since I super read RR), when he is actually one of the most loyal, willing to try to put/put his own fears aside (because being afraid or having fears is normal) to protect the people he cares about and fight; he is very brave at the end of the day. Literally was fighting The Purple Dragons to protect and help people basically (and also because he loves violence, lol. and some other reasons probably), literally stuck with the turtles basically no matter what kind of crazy stuff they got into, and his actually pretty damn good engineer, really knowing to fix and built stuff, including a lot of his own weapons. I am not saying I have an issue with 2012 Casey being afraid/in fear alone, it is how in fear he is (esp. if this is a later series Casey, that, like the others, has developed a lot, and has gone through so much shit), and the kinda neglecting of his many other character traits and development. I love 2012 Casey, he is great; not the biggest fan of how he has been written in RR so far, the last time I have checked up on it.
Then like I said, the sheer amount of fear the 2012 crew is being shown to have I just find, not in-character really. Like, the stuff the 2012 crew has done and seen, oh boy. If anything, they would be worried for the Rise crew, or, maybe even cheering them on in some cases. I am not saying that there shouldn’t be any fear shown by them; fear is a natural thing after all, and they have shown fear (though, so have Rise too) too, however, the amount of it, is just yeah, I don’t really agree with. And it doesn’t help, that I see memes posted and reblogged all over the places (blocking a tag, does nothing to hide a reblog really, for the most part), that like Marie said, has memes basically making fun of the 2012 crew and them being in “constant fear”. Can’t say I’m the biggest fan of that.
I don’t mind some teasing and light heartened jabs and messing around and stuff; like I will sometimes call my favorites some pretty mean things, lol, but it is all done out of love and affectionate for them. And I know memes (though, there are AO3 comments doing it too) are mainly just jokes, but some seem to take the 2012′s crew kind of/pretty out of character fear and reactions and stuff, pretty seriously, (sometimes) memes or not, and there are just, kind of a lot of memes, that focus on this, that, even if when I was trying to enjoy RR and it’s memes more (because like, there was effort put in a lot of those memes, and I like memes a lot. Can be esp. fun to see them in fan stuff), seeing a lot of the 2012 stuff in them, kinda made me, not be able to as much.
Also, like Marie said (I think), a lot of TMNT 2012′s development/growth is just ignored. As well as sometimes even mental states/mentalities, and parts (sometimes huge) parts of their characters and personalities.
And maybe that is mostly for expanding or exploration or diving into reasons, or angst reasons, or angst/fully reasons, or recovery reasons, or fluff reasons, or etc. All of which, are things I love. But once again, I do think things are too “ignored” in doing so/do this sometimes, and that some characters, are too out-of-character while doing so (imo).
Also, I don’t necessarily mind, the whole weapons of war exploration going on with Rise, but I don’t like how it is being ignored just how skilled, talented, strong, sneaky/stealthy, etc.; and how 2012 are “weapons” in their own right. And etc., etc. Like I said, I don’t exploring this about Rise; I think it is interesting as heck, I would love to see explored more, and well, in like, more fan stuff, the fan-made season 3, more official season(s), movie(s) (still hoping for this so badly), and etc., etc., but I don’t like when people downplay other versions and when it is done at the expense of other versions.
Anyways, for an example of a fic that I have been enjoying a lot so far at least (not finished with what is out yet though), that explores the Rise crew being made to be weapons and all that; “The Lemonade Leak”, is one such fic. Though, maybe it helps that is not a crossover, and just focuses on Rise, so I can’t fall into the traps I talk about here. But still, it is a quite the good and interesting fic so far. Some people might like it, so check it out if you get the chance.
That is why I don't really like the "On Purpose Weapons VS. On Accident" thing too (because I don't like the whole thing of "downplaying other versions and when it is done at the expense of other versions"), most of the time, because most of the time, it is just 2012 (and/or other versions) getting downplayed, nerfed, etc., while Rise is put on a pedestal. Also, it just kind of sounds insulting most of the time to other versions, when it is brought up imo.
Also, with 2012, considering the mutagen that was used to create them was basically made by war-bringing aliens, and that the mutagen gives the mutants a lot of abilities and/or all that and/or etc., and considering the TMNT 2012 mutants also have Splinter's DNA (in a way), and considered they trained basically their whole lives. Yeah, they are "weapons" in their own rights; like Rise is. (Though at the end of the day, they are still kids; they are still people). So the whole Weapons vs. "Accident"/"Not Weapon" thing, just doesn't make a whole lot of sense when it comes to TMNT 2012 and Rise imo. So, like I said, I just don't like how it is "said" or used most of the time. To the point when I see crossovers that seem to explore that, I nope out there most of the time (though, I did give RR a chance as one example).
“Maybe try not to bash the fic and just ignore it instead of vauging in it’s tag?”
I do try to ignore it, heck, besides today, I have only ever really spoken about it privately, but again, like I said, kind of hard to ignore it, when I see it reblogged and posted so many places, and people act like it is one of the best TMNT 2012 and Rise crossovers, while one of the best 2012 characterizations in a lot places too (which, I don’t really agree with. I won’t call it/them the worst, but the best?, not really. That is just imo though). It can be very hard to ignore it sometimes, though I do try to.
I wouldn’t have tagged “Rotten Reflections” myself, and I am not doing that for this reblog either, but I can understand why some people aren’t the biggest fan of RR.
“I don’t think any of this is worth the trouble because whilst you personally don’t enjoy it, others do /gen”
And I get this, hence why I have tried to just ignore it, and not talk about it. However, seeing it everywhere, and seeing how so many people treat as one of the best TMNT 2012 x Rise crossovers, with one of the best TMNT 2012 characterizations, and how, there are other really, really, great TMNT 2012 x Rise crossovers, that are super great, and the characters usually very in-character, that doesn’t bash (accidently or not), isn’t super biased, or nerf, that are way less popular, for whatever reason (though, I have some suspicions why RR is more popular (at least, partially) compared to some of those other fics and/or crossovers, but I won’t get into those).
Idk, it just rubs me the wrong way, and kind of makes me sad. Even though I know popularity doesn’t and really shouldn’t matter. A lot of things and characters are great, but not always super popular. But I don’t know man, like I said, something about it, just rubs me weirdly.
Anyways though, saying all this, I do get others enjoy it, and hence why I have tried to stay silent about this, but honestly, for various reasons, I just felt like talking about this today.
If people find what I had to say, too harsh, I understand. I still respect the RR’s creator for all the good things about RR, and all the work they have put into it.
I have a lot of issues with it personally, and it is just not my cup of tea. If it others’ cup of tea, than that is fine. It is not mine, but if other people like/love it; than I understand that too; even if I don’t (even though I really tried to. Maybe I will give it another shot someday. There is a reason why I kept giving it so many shots, and kept trying to read it, because there was a lot to like about RR, just the stuff I didn't made it hard to want to continue/continue. Made I will give it shot again someday, someday. Heck, I might try to start reading their LMK fic again, I love LMK a lot, and I do find RR's prose and other stuff to be quite good, despite some of the issues I do have (with it), so their LMK fic might be quite good).
Sorry for this really long and kind of all over the place reblog, I had a lot to say apparently.
Rottmnt fans will give their boys ten thousand mental health issues and then complain and depict the 2012 as if they are the ones with issues
Rottmnt fans will write their Splinter as neglectful and parentify poor Raphael and then complain that 12 Splinter is a bad father because he actually cares about his little ones and does everything in his power to protect them
Rottmnt fans will keep complaining for a decade more that their boys were hated and then proceed to bash and nerf everyone except their favorites
Rottmnt fans will get a whiplash for not knowing how TMNT has been like for decades now and then assume everyone except their own is mean and evil
Rottmnt fans will Automatically assume rough housing equals abuse and destroy Mikey's character and write as if forcefully breaking apart a family is a good thing (seriously, this is something that should happen to them. Let Leon get adopted by 12 boys for once because everyone in his own universe canonically thinks he's an idiot and nobody cares about him pre movie)
Rottmnt fans will complain they are tired of Rise getting nerfed and 12 getting bashed and hypocritically proceed to write detailed multichaptered fanfic with a ton of research all focused on making Rise look all powerful & dangerous and nerf 2012 and bash their skills and depict them as spooked and terrified creatures and the entire reader fanbase of that fic would happily make memes about it
Rottmnt fans will create fanfics where Rise boys kill and then make them look all badass and every other iteration being terrified of them, completely forgotting that every other iteration EXCEPT Rise has canonically killed before and done and seen some intense gory stuff
Rottmnt fans will make everyone OOC in all crossovers and never even acknowledge it
Rottmnt fans will vote their favorite characters in every poll without even checking what the question is or if their answer makes the slightest of sense
Rottmnt fans will call every Raph unfairly angry, every Leo boring, every Donnie being beneath their own and depict every Mikey as weak and 'without a bite'
Best fanbase ever really

You know that ut/dr haunted coffeeshop au you made a while back? I love it a lot and I have some Questions, if that's alright! What prompted asriel to embrace his more mischievous side after his death? Can ghosts see each other? How long until Chara realizes asriel is at the coffeeshop? How does Chara and frisk's first conversation go? Does Kris ever interact with Chara or asriel? Does jevil exist in this au? Does napstablook ever like translate for asriel to the other coffeeshop inhabitants? What do the two of them tend to talk about amongst themselves?
- i think asriel was always pretty mischievous, but he definitely got more so as a ghost in large part out of frustration about no one being able to see him. at least knocking things off shelves gets him acknowledged, even if no one actually knows he's there. also he just has fun messing harmlessly with people and being a ghost makes it way easier
- ghosts can indeed see each other! in fact chara and asriel saw each other the moment chara entered the coffeeshop and proceeded to avoid each other for weeks.
- chara going "hey why are you asleep on my grave? have some respect for the dead!" and frisk making incoherent waking-up grumbles
- i haven't thought about this au's kris much yet... i don't think they can see ghosts clearly like frisk or the blooks can, but they can definitely catch impressions – a figure in the corner of their eye or a fragment of a sentence. they definitely find out about chara at some point (and probably asriel too), but i haven't really thought about it
- yes but i haven't thought about him yet
- sometimes, but mostly just things like "okay he said he hid the straws up in this cabinet". asriel doesn't really want to talk to most of the coffeeshop staff, mostly 'cause he doesn't want to tell toriel that her dead child's ghost is literally haunting her
- assuming you mean napstablook and asriel, i think they talk about music a fair bit once they've warmed up to each other enough for conversation. gardening too, maybe

hmm, seen a few msa-into-ut ideas but what about reverse? au where Kris or another kid gets transported into msa verse (I'll leave what part of the ghost/etc timeline to your discretion) :o?
(ask meme)
OKAY YES SO there's two ways this could go: 1. just a straight up universe-transplant, kris gets picked up and dumped into msa canon, or 2. msa is a dark world. i PERSONALLY like the second more because you get the whole fun gang in on it, plus it leaves me more space to screw with the whole setting which is my FAVORITE
so, dark world msa:
i think the formative area in the light world is some kind of like... sparsely decorated area, to account for all the huge highways and middle-of-nowhere sets in msa. even more so than msa canon (which is just like, regular the states) it's almost disorientingly empty. a gas station in the middle of nowhere here, a vast forest there, kingsmen mechanics is a long drive from anywhere at all, and there really isn't any population centers to speak of – basically the gang's gonna need a car. to get like anywhere. one of them has to have their drivers license right? ...no?
the dark fountain is also, like, Directly On Top Of lewis's ghost mansion, so the gang isn't leaving until [waves hand] that is resolved
if ANY kind of link was opened between the msa and dr worlds, arthur's desperation to find lewis would be fucking catnip for gaster. it's just such an easy lever. yes i'll help you find your friend, i promise, just keep listening to me, don't you trust me? better question: do you have any other options?
actually hm, gaster could just as easily prey on lewis's revenge quest too. he could be playing the two of them off each other, engineering the situation just so to suit his specific wants. but, then again, lewis could also decide in five seconds gaster is Not Worth His Time and slam the door in his face
...but like all the gaster-related bits of dr/ut, that would be very hard to find. the gang would have to get heavily, actively involved in one side of this disaster i feel like – either helping arthur search or helping lewis chase down revenge. there could be a branching-paths style narrative there, and the "true ending" (uncovering the gaster connection) would be the really hidden route and it's much easier to just like. off arthur or smack lewis for dumbass crimes.
am i saying reverb is gaster? yes maybe. maybe i am.
...here i'll throw in a few extra fun gang points cause i feel like none of this is actually in the spirit of the prompt:
lewis is a plot-relevant boss fight Obviously. you can just beat him up, or you can talk him into remembering arthur somehow which leads to the pacifist ending.
with reverb/possessed arthur/even murdermys? being a secret boss? like regardless of what actually happens with the story, you're really dealing with the fallout of reverb's actions, and actually getting the bastard himself to own up to it is tricky and takes some work, but you're rewarded with the special secret boss items at the end
(alternately, lewis is a midpoint boss, murdermys is the final boss)

what are some roles that have been largely changed for cityrune? since you said queen was an influencer now :]
hi ty for asking me im vibrating. havent gotten to talk about this au now for three years and now that chapter 2 is like real and this time i can like........draw occasionally and i have more understanding of nuance...... [grips table] [screams]
this isnt quite what you asked but heres what's everyone from chapter 1 has been Up To with a little bit of context (and under a read more bc it got LENGTHY):
kris - professional stay at home teen (they live w/ asgore n help run the flower shop sometimes. this decision was entirely bc i dont like toriel). was wrongly diagnosed w Sudden Soul Rejection when they were incredibly young and given an experimental transplanted soul as a replacement. it works for them fine, give or take having to see gaster once a month for checkups. but sometimes the soul makes them skittish n decides they're going to sit in front of the pc and play 30 consecutive hours of a certain simulation game and not even let them drown people in the pool. if it were entirely up to them, they'd be like. passing out on the sofa to documentaries about bigfoot. or practicing cool knife tricks to impress their friends at their next tabletop meetup
- EDITED IN: the soul is kind of their friend. they are wearing a hypothetical get along shirt. most of the time, they agree on actions and things to do. tends to refer to themself + their soul as we/us which originally was just something they did in their head but they kept slipping in speech/text n just became a Thing of how they talk. switches to 'I/Me' whenever smth is wrong.
- also edited in: they believe the soul they have is their original soul bc nobody has told them otherwise. whenever theyre like 'oh yeah we think about our soul n view it as a separate entity to us like. all the time. it likes to hurt if we make too many choices it doesn't seem to like and kind of forces us to be a toned down version of what we want to be but thats just how souls are haha' and everyone is like.... 'Hey Kris That's Really Not How It Is.' theyre like. 'huh. gonna ignore that for now' - this was going to be a plot point
toriel - head of H0MEWOR1D (H01)'s department of education; kind of lost her roots as a simple math teacher as she was pushed into a lot of power she didn't even really seek out. divorced asgore over some miscommunications in their relationship; also loosely as a result of grief from asriel's death
asgore - the same. runs a lil flower/gift shop. people come in more to talk with him than to buy flowers most of the time, though
asriel Flowey - he's back in flower form, thanks to the government an accident. causes a lot of technology glitches wherever he goes, and wants revenge. isn't sure how to go about it. asriel "died" around 8 years before the story takes place and kris still misses him and refuses to even THINK about even the IDEA of calling someone their sibling after what happened, just in case it somehow happens a second time
susie - more of the same really. she spends most of her time either at grillby's (she's sort of become his assistant n helps with opening/closing. it just happened) or getting into low-stakes trouble w/ kris
noelle - she's in the city's equivalent of college and shes so tired. shes So Abysmally Tired n got kinda pushed 2 follow in her mom's footsteps. she's rarely around anymore except through text or on monsters & mages (dnd) night. (however.........she will come back w/ a long break n hang out w everyone again)
berdly - tbh i didnt even consider berdly when i made the au initially. idk what he's doing. probably in a similar situation to noelle??? canonically got kicked out of the M&M group due to clashes w/ other players but lurks in their group chat to posts memes sometimes
didnt rly think of any other of kris' classmates (+ their families) after ch1 and probably will continue to not, until chs 3-5 come out and i gotta whip up roles and histories for like. a lotta guys all of a sudden. i also forgot about noelle's parents
sans - runs a convenience store that everyone kind of thinks is a front, but also it has really cheap snacks and the local teens make a point of stopping there after school. so essentially, more of the same papyrus - similar to ut. is a very polite and sweet boy but you'll know when he's coming
grillby - he's back. he runs a bar like back in ut but the cozy vibes and weird-for-a-bar hours keep attracting kids who need parents, so half of his menu is comprised of overly sweet mocktails. usually only frequented by monsters
QC - same as usual. has a "rivalry" with grillbz but, theyre besties and have a book club
mettaton - he's real and he's back. he's similar to how he is back in ut w/ his EX body. likes to hang out at grillby's and talk to unsuspecting fans. has a show for everything
napstablook - similar to how they are in ut. helps mtt with making music sometimes. doesn't leave the house too often, but spends a lot of time posting on undernet
undyne - unfortunately. more of the same. she is a cop in the monster district. i am also upset by this but couldn't think of anything better for her
alphys - a doctor studying under dr. gaster in the hopes she'll one day take over his research. she spends most of her time as a nurse with a bigger title, though, and blocks out the weirdness of her job with anime.
gaster - weird guy. H01's top soul researcher and resident House wannabe. trying to manufacture the ultimate soul that can be controlled with simple internal switches, but so far he's only had 1 (very limited) success with a certain human. monsters just melt, and darkners just sorta......get weird... he's onto Something, though.
ralsei - lonely boy with some very strange hobbies. popular on UnderNet for poetry, baking videos, and general cryptid vibe. is the DM for the monsters & mages group (also seems to think everything is actually very fine in H01 when it is very much not)
lancer - about the same. professional Round Boy. lives w/ rouxls full time. follows susie around like a lost puppy and calls himself her "underling."
rouxls - runs a hotel/casino kind of deal where the objective Bad Guys hang out, and usually ends up doing any of the spade king's paperwork.
spade king - mafia godfather. kind of a dick. don't play cards with him
seam - works with the spade king as his right hand cat more or less because they have for a lot of years and are in that 'sunk cost fallacy' zone. thinks of retiring to a quiet life in the monster section of town like, daily
jevil - used to work with the spade king, but got imprisoned for Crimes. got weird after The Accident (separate from asriel's accident)
temmies (all) - dont really get mentioned except offhandedly but they run the monster space station. so far, are the only monsters who have ever been to space.
as far as chapter 2 goes:
yeah i dont have much so far for characters. in the original version of the au i accidentally made darkners as a whole just kinda..... not great? like all sorts of weird organized crime ties n sort of going out of their way to be A Problem to the city (not even in like. a revolution way. in a working against them but with the same goals kinda way). with the whole context it worked At The Time, bc i just had the spade king to look to as a villain, and also in this au the darkners are just trying to survive a world that ultimately was not built for them (that humans think they own, and monsters sort of... seeing this and wondering what it'll mean for them whichever one wins), but w/ new info abt how the dark world works n more guys to work with i want to kind of. edit the vibe a bit. like yea darkners will ultimately do whatever it takes to take over H01, but maybe in a better way than like. idk. all this. it doesnt have to be peaceful or anything it just has to be more adaptable as we meet more kinds of darkners
however yeah i thought up 'queen as some sort of childless mommy blogger/influencer' and that completely revived all memory i had of this au. she should be on mtt's talkshow. also she sells collectible wine glasses w/ her likeness
spamton is another one of gaster's failed soul experiments, but he hasn't melted yet, and seems............fine? sort of. so he hasn't gotten decommissioned yet. he does want to give you malware tho. hot monster singles in your area n all that
im blanking on the rest of the guys but i hope any of this was comprehensible

🌼Here is my version of Horrortale THE UPDATED VERSION! I was not really happy with how I wrote it prior to this but now that I have added more world building I am so much more satisfied with the result. There is a lot more to it now than there was before world wise. A few things to mention before I start. This Horrortale is mainly a Frans or Frisk X Sans AU. It may change in the future but that is the core of it. I also want to warn people that the below content may be triggering or disturbing. This is very serial killer based so keep that in mind as you move forward.
DO NOT REPOST MY WORK WITHOUT MY PERMISSION IT IS NOT FOR YOUR USE. IF YOU LIKE MY WORK PLEASE REBLOG INSTEAD! It helps me so much! It makes such a difference.💙If you want more of these just let me know! It’s the only way I can gauge interest!
Horrortale {FXS}
Alternate “Nicknames” Info:
Sans: Blade Papyrus: Ash ( joke reference to Ash vs the Evil Dead)
Main Plot Synop: Sans timeline has yet to meet their “fallen human”. On the surface the monsters begin to do experimentation learning about the abilities that humans possess. These studies lead to even more advances for the humans and the monsters. They live and coexist perfectly but something goes wrong. The monsters were considered to be pure beings ones with pure white souls to match but humans were flawed. They did horrible things even to their own and eventually that began to create a new threat. One that was easily spread from monster to monster. A black infection that begin to eat away and hollow out ones soul called The Rot.
Sans works in the lab spending more and more time trying to help his associates with their research into human soul traits. Gaster begins to make headway on the research of the soul extracting vials of concentrated soul essence. That includes the essence from a fallen human that died of causes unknown. Their name is Chara. In Chara’s soul The Rot lies in wait festering in a sea of pure red. Like an apple rotted from the inside the hate and hopelessness of this trait resided in that lone soul and ate it alive. All that they had been was no more. Those working in the lab are the first to be infected especially their Royal Scientist Dr. W.D Gaster.
Sans pursuit to rid the others of this rot causes him to become obsessive and resort to using old vials of human soul essence in his own experiments. It begins to become successful keeping away the infection but at high doses it can have some nasty side effects. He begins to cure the monsters but his own rot can only be cured by one source, Determination. The strength of the essence is so powerful that it begins to have some interesting complications.
Kindness- Obsession
Integrity- Moral righteousness/ pride/ manipulation
Bravery- Adrenaline high constantly sweating, rapid breathing and nausea
Justice- OCD (ideologic pride)
Perseverance- Extreme fatigue/sickness/ depression as physical symptoms
Patience- Timid and intense fear/ anxiety
The Rot and the World it forms:
The rot if left “untreated” can cause some rather unfortunate changes within monster biology and the cure to such an infection is not foolproof (in fact I would argue it causes them to start cannibalizing each other). Those that are suffering from the rot begin to make their way through different stages of the infection.
Stage 1: Paranoia and weakness
Stage 2: A shift in biology- Due to the cure being human soul traits the side effect is a change in monster biological structure. They begin to lose some of their magical abilities taking on the traits that are curing them. It alters their make up at the soul level. This also causes them to take on a more physical form. That means that their bodies persist after death and even bleed.
Stage 3: Starvation/ Ravenous hunger- The infection causes a craving in the soul most likely in an effort to fill a hole of some kind. The same one that is eating away at their soul leaving a soulless husk behind. This is usually seen in the form of food but it can also be more worldly things. Money, power, all of those are fair game. They essentially become soulless.
Stage 4: Mindlessness- Almost like wild animals the monsters that make it to this stage become like wild beasts. All predators. They feast on other monsters but they usually turn their sights to monsters that have a high concentration of human soul in their bodies. That includes humans as well.
Stage 5: “Death” (amalgamates)- The typical mindless zombie. They are slow and aggressive only thinking of eating even though they are half dead already. They do not speak, they do not think. They exist. (What a horrible way to “live”).
Monsters begin to eat and kill each other thinning the once thriving monster world. Just like in UT they used to have an overcrowding problem but now with this new situation that is quickly changing. Asgore locks himself away trying to keep the infection at bay and away from those he cares about. It is unclear if the King is dead or not. All they know is that the entire Underground is in ruin.
It would appear that having quantities of these traits can hold off deeper stages of the infection. That is why they begin to formulate ways to lure humans into the mountain, songs, whispers, anything that can be used. The barrier is different in this version as it only requires the power of a human soul and a monster soul to cross it. This means that some monsters have the ability to slip past the barrier to drag humans back for “dinner time”. The human cities have not forgotten about the monster threat and they keep up defenses to keep them out. A zombie apocalypse if you will. That means that some monsters (again not all they have to be strong enough) can cross the barrier and bring back food.
The barrier was also not created originally as a punishment for monsters losing the war but rather containment. It was cruel nonetheless and eventually the humans began to distance themselves from the monsters leaving them stuck in a barrier that provided no room to grow and little food or resources. Eventually as The Rot began to infest the Underground humans quarantined it off leaving them even more hopeless than ever before.
Humans do not “seem” to be affected by The Rot but their world has been significantly altered by the disease. It makes it difficult to live when all your meals are outside of your cities security and large open spaces are easy targets such as farms. In the end the war and caused an even larger problem, the destruction of their world. It is nothing but an apocalyptic wasteland in most parts due to attacks. Food is scarce both in the Underground as well as on the surface. Just as monsters have become hunters of their own
The Effects of DETERMINATION:
Sans begins to see more and more the inner works and the fabric of the world he lives in. It begins to make him think he is going crazy. It has to be due to sleepless nights, heightened stress, and hopelessness that seems to continue to fester in his own soul. In addition to being able to manipulate and see the fabric of his world he also has “visions”. Almost a form of astral projection. His consciousness is able to see through the eyes of his respective timeline counterparts. He is able to see everything they do in multiple timelines. It is a form of timeline hopping or reset. They are all on the same frequency.
He begins to see their happiness and their pains. The good and the evil. At first he thinks they are dreams but as it happens more frequently the more he realizes the nature of it. He sees how happy they are and there is one constant variable for their happiness (the bad timelines begin to heighten his apathy). That constant is Frisk. He continues to help the other monsters and almost all of them are “cured” though the other side of The Rot has yet to rear its ugly head. He however becomes a recluse burying himself in his supposed delusions and madness. He continues to take more and more DT slowly turning his eyes red. It is like the ring of an oak tree. The longer that he uses it the more rings he gets the larger his eye becomes (giving him that classic Horror look). At first they are like the rings of a tree effectively replacing his rot with a new DT addiction. It also begins to cause his face to slowly melt.
Meanwhile the other main boss monsters that have been treated have a similar affliction where the soul traits they were taken have embedded into their souls. It begins to give them a new power. A power rivaling that of a human soul. The power of the 7. The variable that can be used to slip past the barrier. Sans though is becoming slowly obsessed with this Frisk. He sees her not as a variable anymore but rather someone that will make him happy.
Sans madness continues to increase even his associate Dr. Alphys is trying to get him some semblance of help but by this time he is too far gone. He needs an intervention. An explosion happens in the lab. The vials and his research are now gone. All of it has gone up in flames and unfortunately the damage to his soul has already been done. He ends up in solitary confinement sinking further into his obsession.
News reaches him that a human has fallen down from the opposite entrance of the Underground. He goes to meet them only to realize that they look nothing like the human he is obsessed with. He begins to harvest human soul essence hiding his face behind a mask at first since nearly the whole front portion of his face is gone. It is a mask of his own face which makes his gaze even creepier knowing what, or rather what does not lay beyond it. Eventually he learns to easily control his face with his magic rearranging the dust to shift his appearance. His level of insanity shifts to obsessive confusion. He is unhappy his first human encounter is not his precious Frisk but the human does have her eyes from his perspective. His concept of what Frisk actually looks like keeps changing.
His form and control is directly tied to his emotional states. If he experiences any form of heightened emotion be it sadness or rage his composure will falter as will his appearance. If it becomes too drastic he will slowly begin to melt causing the appearance he originally had when this all began to appear. This is why he is called “The man with many faces.” He will sometimes end up completely faceless save for the bottom half where his grin would be.
Blades Madness:
Sans (aka Blade) obsession causes him to steal the various parts of humans to create his perfect human. Each one he makes he sees as an improvement. They are all mindless dolls held together with low doses of soul essence and magic. A macabre shrine to his beloved human. They reside in his shed and sometimes he talks to them but he considers them as failures. He calls them his projects and this continues over and over until his Frisk falls.
He is overjoyed that he has his precious with him now. Papyrus checks on his brother yet he knows he needs help. After all these years he has seen his brothers decline Ash tries to help him. Frisk’s entry into the Underground is by complete accident, though she is not the savior that the rest are known to be. She is a soul of kindness causing her eyes to be a bright jade. Even Sans though overjoyed that Frisk has “returned” to him; he feels as though she is not perfect yet. He takes her and makes her perfect by removing one of her eyes to be a beautiful blue. He even cuts the back section of her hair to satisfy him.
She feels no pain when this happens. Her kind soul wants to help him and slowly she begins to pull the old Sans back every once and awhile. Her soul, just like Charas, is filled with something as well. It turns out that though it looks like Frisk’s soul is one of kindness it is actually a pure white soul of hope. This has the ability to cure The Rot. They are glimpses but it is progress. He has to stop his killing ways and he does after Frisk is with him.

more lore thoughts before sleep
Like genuinely I think what canon aims for earth to be:
Just like ours for immersion and simplicity sake
Secretly got complicated world building that we don't see cause like how we don't know much about the UT humans until late game /revealed they're not the player, we too will realize their world is not truly our own. It being called earth doesn't mean they share the same history at all. I can ONLY see this working if it was part of a larger narrative but I doubt that with DR being an AU and I doubt the alarm clock would be that ambitious
anyway logically, I'd imagine SOULs are only fully visible and collectable if surrounded by a magic environment. (Monsters and monsterfood cultivate a magic infused atmosphere, without one or the other they'd disappear with time) which would mean you could justify a more 1-1 history
BUT personally, the premise and into narration of Undertale give me the vibe monsters were always a part of humanity. So like. The premise itself isn't that "Oh this is earth, just that monsters are sealed a long time ago" but rather its "No see they had their own history and shared the world together until the barrier. This IS earth but not one that shares our exact history. It is not intended, by premise, to be 1-1"
anyway Angel's does that but monsters migrate to an island after a while for ~plot reasons~ that even monsters aren't fully aware. (In reality it just makes it more simple to write) So you'd have monsters across the world but there more hidden or seen as... unextrodinary. I'm thinking like you'd have hawks then there's a Phoenix on my backyard patio casual.
Magic would have to be common at least enough that Big Foot can fend for himself in the woods. Magic is sparse but not necearily in the wild in certain areas? Like hotspots of localized Magic generating areas.
Monsters naturally cultivate magic food and vice versa, they allow Monsters to feed off to exist. Who in turn cultivate and grow the food etc. Magic Cycle.
These spots become more rare as monsters are hunted or their habitats taken by humanity
My thinking is how to USE magic is rarely understood and why the Hoppes Kingdom having so much magic and knowledge matters so much. That's since died out more in the hundreds of years and shift to only preists using magic. But I also imagine they id wild magic as different from their divine magic so that's honestly an explanation to why the preists narrative isn't instantly shattered when monsters break the barrier. Monsters use wild magic or have their own separate system. (In reality all magic is the same magic)
But yeah working alongside Asriel and lying about how magic works (and thus siphon monsterkind for magic and then use it to ensure divine right and power etc) would be why humanity is more quick to adopt monsters (outside of capitalism )
Which means if Asriel or More Likely Raine tbh were to expose this and show how Hoppes Kingdom deliberately skewed the narrative than they could use that as leverage. But also that's a big risk to use that against them, as it's not enough to "prove" it to believers nor does it stop those in power from deflecting and then betraying. Humanity still controls the narrative and power here
