Otsu Post for my Oreca Battle Session from May 2024-

I made a blog entry for this month's session, because miracle occurs and so many things happened at once, it was one of the most insane session I've ever had since the last time I battled Red Dragon-

I did spent more credits than I usually do for funsies, but my god, what followed after-

For the past few months, I have been going into the arcade to play Oreca, with missions on hand Those missions are,

Hang out at Chapter 6 for a chance to meet Pyramid Head

I don't have much expectation with my luck, so I usually give 3 chances to explore each chapters incase I didn't meet any of the monsters I was aiming for

And guess who I met on my first encounter of the day?

FRIGGIN CUCHULAINN- AND HE GAVE ME "HOLY WILL"-

AFTER SO MANY TRIES AND NOT BEING ABLE TO MEET HIM, HE SHOWS UP ON MY FIRST PLAY-

Finally having one mission crossed off, I thought maybe I could relax a bit, try my luck on the other mission, y'know?

And my second play started WAY TOO INTENSE for my poor mind-

DARKNESS MAGICA SHOWS UP-

AND WITHIN THE INCH OF HIS LIFE, BEELZEBUB CASTED "DEATH" AND EARNED US A VICTORY

At this point, I grew anxious- I contacted Enzina and talked to her to calm myself down, because this was a barrage of stimulation-

Then I told her, "Yeah, let's take things slow. I might try to get Kurt or Dran for now"

We might have lost the battle, but guess who got commands up and joined the team with rare item???

It have come to my attention that "Evil Shell Sause" is only able to change Azul's card illustration, so yea-

I was drunk on excitement and dehydration I think, lmao-

So yea, with all of this big encounters all happened one after another, I finally took a break because the excitement and rush actually makes my head hurts-

It doesn't help with the fact that Indonesia (and the rest of the SEA countries-) are getting hit by intense heatwave, and how crowded the arcade was that day-

And after the much needed rest, I went back to the arcade and finally took my own advice seriously, "Take things slow"-

And take things slow we did, since searching for Dran and Kurt was a simple task, and Dark Magica with CuChulainn only need to be combined with their item!

With 1 last play in mind, I try my luck once again on Chapter 6, with a team consisting of 2★ Dia, 4★ CuChulainn, and 4★ Culann Cuz y'know, I need to level up Dia too-

And... guess who greeted us, like RIGHT AWAY at the first enemy selection screen?

However for folks in the tags who don’t want spoilers, I do have a shitpost regarding the giant boot items/puzzles so this post isn’t a total nothing burger for you.

Anyways now for the bulk of what I was too impatient not to post. Again, spoilers for new content!

First and foremost, I wish everyone who ever called me weird or said I was reaching with my headcanons regarding Lor being sapient and not solely just under the control of Magolor or whatever powers that be a very GET FUCKED FOREVER. BOAT PLAY BEHAVIOR REAL.

Next, Magolor’s win animation in Samurai Kirby took me out for a solid 10 minutes and I was compelled to make this.

I also had another thought regarding things with Lor in Magoland. Specifically boat experiences mask noise jumpscare.

And while I am gonna wait a bit longer before saying anything about [the horrors](including the alternative joke name I thought of for them), I did make this doodle based on a recent catcrumb post and my experience in the poor little meow meow mode.

And then finally here is me being extremely normal about a mask. Did I immediately notice all the inconsistencies with this design when compared to previous in-game appearances Nova has had? Yes. Did that make me not happy to see them again acknowledged as a character in spite of only being tangentially relevant to this game due to special obscure dialogue from Magolor? Absolutely not, I didn’t name 99% of my accounts places after Nova for nothing. Love that cat clock. My brain rot is terminal

I do plan on posting some actual headcanon-y stuff soon(particularly regarding Doomers and a certain headpiece), but it’ll be once the game has been out for longer to reduce the odds of people being spoiled by mistake. That stuff will be shared on my sideblog dedicated to such things, @nova-starcutter. You’ll never guess just by the name of the blog what kinds of headcanons I tend to think about most.

I’m sorry, but I’m probably going to have to close my inbox again, or at least turn anon off for a while.

The shitpost art has mostly been a collaboration between @neon-moon-beam and myself, who started by sending joke messages on anon (and eventually told me it was her), which I started responding to first with photos of Joltik and later with art. For the most part, the art I’ve drawn has been suggestions from a friend, not from strangers. It was to put some lighthearted stuff in the Submas tag after the proliferation of angst, to give people relief.

In the past, I’ve run ask blogs, and there’s a tricky balance to strike there, because some people will use ask blogs as a way to more or less ask you for free art. I know I had to put my foot down on those and say that it had to be actual questions for the characters involved and not just “can you draw X doing Y?”

I don’t draw every ask I get, because a lot of them feel less like shitpost opportunities and more like requests for me to depict people’s headcanons, and that’s not what I was setting out to do. I’m happy to do art if I receive compensation - payment or art trades - but otherwise, I generally only do things for friends or if I really like an idea. I may have to close my inbox and let this subside for now - unless people are willing to offer me compensation for the art. It’s one thing if you’re my friend and we’re messing around. It’s another thing to go to an artist and essentially try to be slick about asking for free art. Even if that isn’t someone’s intention, sometimes that’s how it can feel to us artists, so we’d appreciate it if you offer to compensate us in some way unless we’ve specifically asked for suggestions for things to draw! I have a full-time job and I can’t constantly crank out art as it is, and unless I’m doing little doodles for my friends or putting effort into a piece for myself, it’s often not something I have the time or energy to put into if I’m not being compensated for my time and labor.

♡ Now whenever they win a match Hinata shamelessly dives into Kageyama’s arms and places a kiss on his cheek, leaving Kags to seize up in a flustered heap and muttering “n-nande boke...”    ♡ Yes the crowd squeals at how cute it is and you bet Tanaka and Noya are wolf whistling in the background.

♡ After practise on a Friday it’s pretty much ritual for Hinata to stay over at Kageyama’s since his parents arrive home pretty late, Kags hates to admit it but he does get lonely. 

♡ This is always cured when the bed-head ball of sunshine is wrapped around his torso, one leg sprawled out and overlapping his thigh,  drooling into his shirt  until sunrise.

♡ Kageyama always wakes up on a Saturday morning with a smile on his face, gazing down at his baby tangerine clinging to the crumpled fabric on his back, he’ll sometimes just lay there and lazily run his fingers through Hinata’s hair.

♡  Kags often wakes up before him so he will quietly make his way downstairs to make breakfast for the two of them, running through possible plans for the day ahead.

♡ Hinata arrives in the kitchen shortly after, yawning and rubbing his crusted eyes, hair sticking up in the most wild of manners. 

♡  Kagyama spins around to hide the blush dusting his cheeks, he won’t admit it but he always smirks at how adorable he finds Hinata in this state.

♡  On Saturday’s they’ll usually go to see a movie, walk through the park, attend local festivals and play volleyball. Mostly play Volleyball. 

♡  Most of Kageyama’s pet names for Hinata just include variations of the word ‘Idiot’.

♡ Hinata on the other hand will occasionally call him Kage-chan because he knows it pisses him off. (He refrained from using Tobio-chan since it literally gives Kags Vietnam flashbacks and he isn’t THAT sadistic.)

♡ Secretly he actually enjoys the pet name given to him but hasn’t said anything since it gives him an excuse to launch a ball at Hina’s head. 

♡ Someone please start a GoFundMe for Hinata’s poor noggin.

♡ Most PDA initiated with this couple is wholly unintentional. They fall asleep on each others shoulders a LOT. During break practise, on the bus, in the club room, in the classroom etc.

♡ The two tucker themselves out with crackhead energy on the daily. Hinata being the emitter and Kageyama being the poor soul that puts up with it.

♡ Classmates and teammates alike have a little photo archive of them resting their head on one another with their bodies loosely intertwined. On their 6 month anniversary the team compiled a little shitpost scrapbook called “The Volleyball lovebirds - A sleeping saga” Which just features page after page of them drooling on one another in a state of deep sleep, some including doodles and sharpie moustaches messily scribbled onto their faces. Others feature Tanaka, Noya, Suga, Yamaguchi and the others photo-boming in various poses, holding peace signs behind the pair or grinning like goofs and pulling silly faces.

♡ One photo features Ukai mid yell, hollering at the duo as a make-shift alarm clock (a very scary one mind you). The picture itself captures Hinata and Kags in a blurred motion of shock, mouths open ready to scream with their bodies jolted in a frantic haste to stand up.This is the teams favourite picture out of them all, remembering how they were keeled over and howling with laughter when it was taken. 

♡ They were both embarrassed yet simultaneously grateful for receiving this keep-sake, both internally vowing to cherish it forever as a token of their love and memories with the team.

♡ A secret routine they have before practise is to stay behind in the club room and share a kiss. Hinata stepping onto his tip-toes, arms loosely draped around Kag’s neck. While the Blueberry Giraffe himself leans down and wraps his arms around Hina’s torso, coyly pulling him in for a moment of wholesome intimacy. They’d just about die if anyone saw them like this so they always make it quick and dash out in a flustered heap afterwards. It does get their adrenaline pumping for the practise ahead though, so no complaints there.

🖍️ When did you start drawing? Do you remember?  i don’t remember tbh, i remember drawing a lot as a kid but i guess i started taking it seriously mid/ late highschool age, and nowadays i’m taking it even more seriously

✏️ Do you prefer traditional art or digital to relax? i used to prefer traditional but ever since we got a drawing tablet it all changed from there :’D 

📏 What’s your go-to canvas size? ok embarrassing + sounds oddly specific at first but it’s 1920x1280px, and this is bc it’s the largest and best supported canvas size for tumblr jkhkdj but tbh bc of that i’m comfortable w/ drawing b/w 1000-2000px sizes (i used to draw on the smallest size for tumblr which is 580x840px)

☕ Do you do warmup sketches before drawing? (Bonus: do you have any to share?) not really warm up sketches but just more warm up lines lol, like the exercise you do where you draw 3 or 4 dots on the page and try to make one smooth line connecting them all, yeah that

📚 How many layers do you typically use? i used to use a ton of layers for each section that needed colouring especially, but now it’s like, 1-2 sketch layers, 1 line art layer, 1-3 colouring layers, and then 10 shading+highlight layers kjdhd

Boredom X-mas Doodles

Welp, this is gonna be a one shot of a fic and im srry if there is really bad spelling and/or grammar. So this does have and classic Christmas trope and a soulmates au as well cuz why the fuck not. Also, its two ships cuz GAY BOIS!

"Ahh yes, there had to be a convention in New York, IN THE MIDDLE OF FUCKING WINTER!" Craig wasn't to happy about the weather. The snow was falking down hard, making it impossible for the small group to leave the cafe. "This is nothing compared to Canada. Trust me, we get up to 3 feet in a storm like this." Smii7y effortlessly spoke out.

"Ya, but you're too much of a pussy to go outside in it."

"All have you know Brian, I jumped in it bare ass naked cuz im that Canadian."

"And let's change the subject please, us five are stuck in a cafe. Lets do something to pass the time til the streets are clear." Brock was looking around to see if the cafe had something.

"Well, why don't we mess with our soulmates?" John said as he held up a bouquet of colorful pens.

Smii7y smiled and grabed the white one lightning quick. "Mine!"

"What do you mean by that?" Brock became intrigued, as was Brian and Craig.

"You guys haven't drawn or written on your skin?!" Smii7y shouted. "It's the funniest shit when you can quote vines back to each other at 3am."

"SO THAT'S WHY I WAKE UP WITH SMUDGES OF INK ON MY ARMS!" Craig grabbed an the orange pen. "Time to get back at this bitch for leaving marks-" He began to mumble as he walked to a booth and took a seat.

Brian shruged. "I guess ill draw dicks or be a flirt." He proceeded to grab the red pen and sit on the chair by Brock.

"I haven't drawn on myself before, except maybe when I forget something." While rubbing the back of his neck, Brock grabed the green pen that was being handed to him. Which left John with the blue pen.

Smii7y leaned over and whispered, "So what you gonna draw, John?"

"I dont know, I havent thought that far. I guess I'll just wait til I get an idea."

"Or you could read that." Smii7y pointed to his forearm that now had a paragraph on it. "I could say the same for you." John said as he caressed Smii7y's forearm.

"Well damb. Only one way to end this." Smii7y started writing a word over the paragraph. John just grinned before looking at his own forearm and seeing what Smii7y was writing was there above the paragraph.

He nudged Smii7y. "AHHH, JOHN! You made me mess- HOLY SHIT WERE SOULMATES!"

"DAMN RIGHT, BORTHER! ..." but the realization set in, "Wait, who wrote the paragraph? Cuz I didn't."

"I didnt, cuz it's in orange ink." They starred at each other and then began grinning as they both thought of the same thing. They began to draw memes on there arms, one would sketch and the other would fill. Soon they heard Craig beginning to laugh in confusion.

"Who the fuck is this person? They are a meme god or something cuz now my arms look like a shitpost." Craig took his glasses of and rubbed his eyes. Smii7y and John took a seat with him, laying their arms out on the table. Putting his glasses back on to see all the identical doodles and the paragraph that had 'penis' written on top of it. He sat there in shock. "I have two soulmates who both, happen to be my most memey friends? Well that just sums up my love life."

While those three were doing their soulmate doodles, Brock was drawing lil hearts and flowers on the back of his hand. Suddenly a sentence began to pop up, 'your art is cute' the phrase alone made Brock slightly blush. So he responded back. 'I bet you're cute.' He looked up while he waited for a response to see Brian madly blushing while looking at his hand. Brock, being curious wrote something else. 'You look cute when you blush'

Brian became even more red as Brock was able walk over to him and kiss his warm cheek. Brian just sat there and became suddering mess of a flustered gay. Brock just chuckled and the noises he was making.

All of them were happy despite being stuck in the middle of a snow storm, they all had a poly Christmas and a Gay new year.
