Venti
The evening grew darker you didn't know if you should hide or just give up and hope he has Mercy. "Maybe he can only find me where the wind can reach…hmm where could I go without wind?" You talked your thoughts aloud as you walked around, enjoying the scenery of Monstadt. You came across a nice wooded area still feeling the soft Breeze, only getting more anxious by the moment.
You wander a while on the brink of giving up hope before coming across a cave, which seemed to be empty, only harboring a put out campfire. It was a perfect place to hide out for a while so you did. You walked in no breeze to be felt not even a draft.
The night began to brew and since you figured you would be there a while, you lit the fire and sat next to the controlled flames. So what if a Hilichurl was to wonder by, you escaped Barbados!…….so you thought at least.
In a flash of a second a cool gust of wind found its way inside extinguishing the flames.
" oh Windling~ you truly didn't think you could hide from me in my own Nation right? I had fun acting as if I couldn't find you ehe!" You jump just from the sound of his voice, it making your skin crawl.
Venti got into the cave with you without hesitation or invitation taking a bite from an apple he  must have picked from a passing tree. "Me hiding?! Psshh noo i was just…Exploring! Yes that"
Venti busted out in laughter "I'm a god remember you cant lie to me windblume, more importantly I'm your boyfriend I would see before it left your tongue, speaking of your tongue I could think of a lot of places I want it to be right now" He flirted his eyes gazing you up and down.
"Venti!? Geez must you be such a pervert" You grumbled pulling his hat down over his face, soon feeling his slender hand grip your wrist. Venti pushed you down cradling the back of your head as he lays you back getting on top of you. " I've been looking forward to this my disciple, I almost immediately wanted to come running after you even before the rich wine reached to my lips" He pulled at the bow around his neck untying it  letting his cape fall to the ground. He started at your face cupping it softly before his hands wandered, taking in the beauty of every inch of you.  It wasn't long before he had you in nearly nothing at all, the way he looked, touched, made all your insecurities melt away. " Tell me Traveler do you think all of Monstadt could hear you if i make you loud enough?" he slipped off his shorts leaving the stockings, rubbing his rosy tip against your entrance.
You stared up at your bard, it was very clear you weren't speaking to him anymore no, you were talking to a god. "Venti maybe not here what if Adventures walk by or-" Your words were cut short, venti sinking himself inside with no remorse, an unexpected gasp escaping your lips. Your walls swallowed him whole, taking every inch of him as if your body was made for it. "Venti!" You moaned out only to be cut off once again by the bards chuckle.
" Oh windblume I don't want to hear that now call me by my name it sounds so beautiful coming from your lips" He leaned down whispering in your ear, the ends of his braids starting to glow against you. "Say it for me please my beloved" Venti begged, his breath against your neck sending chills down your spine. It was strange it was still your venti but his voice was different, serious, ethereal, too perfect for this world and the whole of tayvat. You felt your face burn with a blush as you turned your face away from the God of freedom "Barbados….my lord… BarbADOS!" It was as if something snapped inside Venti he wanted to defile his disciple. So he did, his hips struck you like lightning noises and moans filling the cave. Even as he was fucking into you Venti Whined in the orgasmic pleasure of your warmth. you couldn't tell which of you were louder.
"That's right, sing for me!" Venti relished in making such a mess out of you
"Mghh! W-Windblume… windblume.. ah! Y/N!!" With every word Venti's voice strained higher. He gripped the back of your thighs folding you to hit the most unholy spots inside you, it nearly made you melt into nothing. Your abdomen tenses reaching the highest point of climax before completely relishing in the finishing feeling. Venti wasn't close behind. He filled your every office before collapsing onto you panting with a huge grin on his face. He laid Apon your chest keeping his seed trapped inside you not daring to pull quite yet. " Now that is how you worship a God ehe"
Tumblr media
Xiao
You ran to Liyue as you near the border from the neighboring nation, clearly excited to see your darling yaksha. Once you finally step foot you notice a dark figure, Xiao breathing heavily staring at the ground. This only causes you to hurry to worry filling your face. " Xiao? Is that you are you feeling oka-" Your words stop, in a blur Xiao tackling you in the grass. He stared down at you his fingers digging into the ground next to you. "xiao i-its okay now its me im here" you slowly removed his mask it disapping in your hands. " I'm ok...i didnt harm you did i?" Xiao put a hand against his head, making him shutter. "Y/n is it really you…. I'm not seeing things right…" He places the hand on your cheek feeling the warmth, his thumb pressing your lips, letting out a breath of full relief " i…i missed your visits and company" Before the golden eyed boy could continue you tugged him down by his necklace, pressing your lips against his, the kiss desperate, rough, feeling the shared breaths.
Xiao pulled back only when you both were breathless. " say my name" your lips parted "no my real name" His pleading eyes was enough to make you melt where you laid "Alatus" xiao couldn't hold back his blush, he trailed down your sides gripping the fabric before ripping it open finding you so beautiful exsposed under the moon. Xiao stared at you for reassurance with each touch before grabbing a hold of your wrist dragging your hand against his own chest his heart racing .
With a smile, your hands wandered down hooking a finger on his pants tugging them down  honestly surprised at his mere girth, but Xiao didn't leave you much time to think before he folded you. He Threw your leg over his shoulder, dragging his tip against your awaiting hole. "Y/n Please stop me.  If you don't stop me now I don't think I'll be able to"
Self-control was leaving his body as he spoke his golden eyes dilated and targeted on you. " I trust you Alatus-" As those words escaped your lips xiao rammed his cock inside. All at once you felt his teeth sinking into the of your shoulder trying to muffling himself. He was a rough lover not that he always meant to be but he couldn't control it, all he does for his life is fight for control so with you tends to accidentally let loose a little too much. His blows were merciless as he pounded into you under the night sky, grunting and panting with every move it all dissolving into pleasure.
"Alatus A..Alatus don't stop p-please don't stop" Xiao rutted inside you gritting his teeth as he came filling your needy hole.
His cock twitched from the over stimulation but not daring to stop. Whining and shuddering with every movement "wouldnt…Gh! Dream of it." He hunched over you not daring to stop his hips for a second, even with his seed pouring out of you from around him.
Xiao was so worked up he was even overstimulating himself refusing to let it end as he jerked and whined his length twitching like crazy inside of you. Beads of sweat dripped down his neck, fucking you so hard his hips slapped against your ass making the most obscene sounds even after you did finish, Xiao still couldn't persuade himself to stop. He needed it, he desperately wanted to fill every orifice of you and by the time he did stop he did fill up every bit of your sore little hole. That night he was especially attentive, carrying you to his room in the inn, wiping you down with a warm rag. He served you for the rest of the night, whatever you may ask he will provide. Xiao made sure to remind you, all you need do is say his name. Even the one that was Heaven to his ears as it escaped your lips.
Tumblr media
Scaramoche
Scaramouche grabbed your hand leading you to an old abandoned inazuma house. The house was pretty well preserved, apart from the few leaks in the roof and the smell of dust. "we should rest here. I'll get a fire going" Scara removed his hat a little doll falling out, you stared at it then looked up him "what a cute doll! it looks like you, did you make it?" You ask curious, him clearly trying to brush it off as he picks it up. "It's just a stupid doll. Don't think much of it." He shoved it in his sleeve huffing turning away. "...hey kuni i would love to look after him for you, so he doesn't fall into the fire" He froze for a moment before grabbing the plush doll out of his sleeve placing it in your hands. "You wouldn't have liked me.." He said quietly looking at the doll in your palms.
What?"
"You wouldn't have liked kunikazushi, he was gentle, he dressed in silks and was naive to the world. Me and you both know you like when I'm rough with you" Scara looked up at you from his eyebrows, his head still tilted down.
" I think I would enjoy seeing your soft side, I would love if you showed me"you cupped his face his eyes softening.
"In your dreams."  he said in a snarky tone, but with his height you picked him up with ease, setting him on the creaky but stable table. "ah! Hey what the hell do you think you're doing!?" Scaramouche struggled, clearly not used to being lifted off his feet.... by someone else "I want to see you every part of you kunikazushi please show me" you plead really making it hard for the puppet to refuse.
All at once he gripped your hair staring at you with a threatening glare. "y/n if you tell a single soul i swear no one ALIVE will believe you" He glared, you nodding in response.
Scaramouche relaxed becoming completely tender as he brought your hand to his cheek nuzzling against the palm " I love you  and I never want you to abandon me even if you grow to hate me please stay by my side" Scaramouche looked away almost embarrassed of himself, all while you melt like putty in his hands. "Could i touch you more y/n? I want to ingrain every inch of you into my mind so I'll know that I met someone as perfect as you" Scara eyes trailed over every inch of you, slowly dragging his hands down to your neck and then shoulders soon replacing his soft cold hands with kisses. He admired your whole body as if it was complex art, all the way down to your toes leaving a soft kiss as a pure act of humble adoration.
He stood a hand clasping your top. " I want to explore more will you let me?" once you gave him the okay he lifted your shirt dragging his soft tongue against the bud of your nipple. He captured it in-between his lips, suckling on as he stared up at you innocently, you so focused on the stimulation you didn't notice the Wanderer seemed to have switched places with you, he sat you displayed on the table. It was clear Scaramouche was starting to get more worked up then he originally meant to. He layed you back his hips so desperate whines escaping his parted lips as he grinded himself against you, not even able to wait until he gets you fully unclothed.
Not like you were complaining, his tent causing enough friction to your sex to make you enjoy it, Hooking a leg around scara waist. Especially with the adorable noises he made causing you to unshamefully move your hips against it only getting more shutters and whines from him.
He gazed down inbeween, a blush filling his face watching you pleasure yourself on his hard on a wet spot  soon growing on to his shorts.
"Aww kuni you got yourself dirty its a good thing you don't wear those silks any more" you pull his shorts down with one swift movement his length springing out still painfully hard leaking pathetic amounts of precum.
Scara's embarrassed face only worked you up by the second, you didn't know if he was suppressing it or if he's really good at acting, but his innocence unleashed something deep inside of you.
You guided his cock unable to wait a minute more, his hands covering his face peeking through his fingers as he watches his cock sink inside whining from the tightness that surrounds him making him hunch over the pleasure overwhelming the poor little puppet. "Mm oh kuni  does it feel good?" You bit your lip clearly knowing the answer, watching his ears even start to turn red as he nods fast. Scara placed his hands on either side of you moving his hips at a comfortable pace. "i-is this okay y/n im not hurting you am i?" You shake your head in  response to wrapped up in the feeling struggling to even keep your eyes from rolling back. Scaramouche continued both of your noises nearly drowning out by each other. He hid himself into your neck, causing him to bury himself into the silky walls with no remorse  making sure you feel every inch of his member inside of your needy hole. a gasp escaped your lips unable to even scold him finding his embrace so soft and sweet, even if he's playing it off as a innocent moment with no Sinister ulterior motive.
Scaramouche's breasts were heavy against your neck he couldn't help but rut himself into you barely even letting himself pull out before pushing back, not wanting to leave your warmth for a second.
You were starting to get unbelievably close and you could tell by the way scara shuttered in your arms he wasn't too far behind. You couldn't help it you reached your Edge your abdomen tensing. " s-something's happening i don't think i can stop.. I can't hold on… please take all of it" with one loud yelp he released painting your insides with his cum so sensitive he's teary-eyed. Once you come down from the high you slowly wipe a tear that happened to make it to his cheek smiling like an idiot " you're so cute kunikazushi" As if on cue Scaramouche rolled his eyes burying his face in your chest "oh shut it." He grumbled as you tangle your hand into his hair. " welcome back scara"

Freedom's Protection: Stirring Up a Hurricane
Summary: The bomb was finally dropped, leaving nothing but a series of chain reactions spreading around the area... Literally. Venti revealed himself as the Anemo Archon Barbatos to his people as a last resort for defending you, causing the entire nation of Mondstadt to go into chaos.
This is the fourth part of Mondstadt's storyline for the Reader Protection Squad SAGAU series.
Note: There are instances of grammatical errors, please bear with me. Also, the entire layout was now changed and I placed a title on them so I could not be confused while I write the next chapters. It's still the same story though. Honestly, I have a hard time writing this part, that's why it took me so long.
Chapters: 1, 2, 3, 4 (current), 5, 6, 7
Tumblr media
"You could say that I am more than just a mere drunkard bard, Miss Rosaria."
"After all, how could I ever spread blasphemous words about myself?"
------------
The bomb was finally dropped, leaving nothing but a series of chain reactions spreading around the area... Literally.
You wanted to slam your head on the wall or slap Venti to his senses. He just literally drop a bombshell on everyone regarding the non-so-subtle secret he had kept for months, and the ones who had heard of it were looking at Venti like he had grown a second head.
What the hell, Venti?!
There are some who don't get it, but those people who are quick enough to understand what the bard has implied were shocked to the core.
This drunkard bard was delusional, is he really the Anemo Archon? He must be drunk.
Diluc should not let this drunkard drink Dandelion Wine again, he looks young but he can drink an entire stock in one go like there's no tomorrow, and now he spewing nonsense.
Rosaria just glared as she asked her usual drinking buddy in disbelief, "What do you mean, blasphemous words about yourself?"
The young bard ignored the vigilant nun and turn to one of the sisters of the Church, who was just standing with the common folk, "Sister Gotelinde, do you remember the first time we officially met, where I was trying to borrow the Holy Lyre der Himmel?"
Gotelinde nodded as she remembered the first time she had talked to the bard personally and responded with a thoughtful voice, "Yes, it was the time of the Stormterror incident. You tried to borrow the Holy Lyre to save Dvalin but since you have no documents permitting you to borrow it legally, you had the guts to introduce yourself as the Anemo Archon. I never believed you that time because it's preposterous and it's impossible for a simple drunkard bard to be the missing Archon."
"WAIT, WHAT?!"
The citizens of Mondstadt had exclaimed when they heard the nun's outrageous statement, the nuns had exclaimed the hardest.
Deaconess Barbara's eyes widened as gears started to turn in her head as she now connected the dots. She remembered the time Venti had temporarily fixed the Holy Lyre der Himmel a few months ago, she and the nuns had found out that the Lyre was broken again after weeks, but she was still wondering how this bard fix a holy relic, although temporarily. Now she had found her answer, it makes sense that the only one who could restore it (although temporarily) is the Anemo Archon himself.
Then she remembered her actions towards Venti and his friends at that time. It was embarrassing, and she couldn't help but paled at the thought of her Archon seeing her breaking down in front of him and accusing him of destroying the Lyre... His Holy Lyre der Himmel.
Calvary Captain Kaeya Alberich, who was just silent the whole ordeal, was staring at the bard with searing intensity. He wondered if his drinking buddy was the Anemo Archon because if he really is the respectable Lord Barbatos, Venti may have already known about Kaeya's real nationality. After all, he was considered to be a sinner from a godless land that was destroyed hundreds of years ago.
Venti smiled sweetly, as he bowed down like he always does after finishing his performance, "Now you know my secret, citizens of the City of Freedom. Now my disciples, rejoice! Behold, the Anemo Archon, Barbatos has descended!"
He then stood up with confidence in his voice, his eyes glittering in mischief, "Shocked, aren't you? Don't you just want to cry out and rejoice? How does it feel to finally meet the god you've been serving?"
Everyone was in chaos, some of the nuns had fainted, and the Deaconess seems to be in a catatonic state, as she remembered her embarrassing interactions with the bard before. The citizens of all ages were astounded to hear the bard's remarks, the devotees of the Archon were paling at the thought of a homeless drunk bard being the regal and freedom-loving Lord Barbatos.
You could say that was kind of... unpleasant, to say that at least.
One of the senior nuns of the Church of Favonius, Mother Maria, then spoke to some Knights who were standing awkwardly at each other.
"Arrest that bard and his comrades immediately! We will execute him and that imposter for emulating Lord Barbatos and the Divine Grace, and imprison the others for colluding with the suspect!"
"Now, now, Mother Maria, I think this is a mistake," Jean spoke up as she tried to reason out why they can't do such a horrendous thing. The fact that Mondstadt hasn't conducted an execution, whether private or public, in a hundred years makes this decision a little bit unfair. Especially with Jean knowing Venti's identity, the bard being killed and sacrificed at the hands of his beloved citizens to appease the same person they had adored and held in high regard was a little bit ironic. It is not a good way to show praise to their Archon, after all.
The majority of the crowd agreed as they screamed their approval of the decision to arrest them. With slight hesitation in their eyes, Knights rushed into action, with no choice over the matter. The lower guards are tasked to calm down the crowd, while others are tasked to take the rebellious young adults to their custody, especially you and Venti.
For the first time in her life, Jean felt helpless. She may be the Acting Grand Master, but she was against a bunch of angry mobs who had records of being devoted to Lord Barbatos with the Church backing them. The Knights and the Church have equal power in Mondstadt to maintain peace and freedom in the nation, and they both swear to the power of their Anemo Archon to serve Mondstadt and its people, hence giving them equal authority.
They rushed to Venti to capture him, as you yelped and covered your eyes as you can't bear to see the scene unfold in front of you, while Bennett and Razor pulled you in their backs to serve their bodies as your meat shield. The Prinzessin der Verurteilung was pointing her bow while Oz was preparing to strike the other team with Electro.
"As much as I hated to fight all of you since I'm your Archon and it's my duty to protect you but you leave me no choice..."
Venti sighed as he raised his hand to raise a small wind barrier, encasing himself, you, and the rest of the current Benny's Adventure Team. The guards who tried to reach the bard first were hit face-first in the barrier. Eula and Noelle tried to hit the barrier with their claymores many times but it never shattered.
Unfortunately, Amber tried to hit the barrier with her Pyro arrows, but since Anemo is known to be reactive to elemental power besides Dendro and Geo, they just bounced back and created a Swirl reaction, hurting some Knights nearest to the barrier. You opened your eyes in time and gasped in shock, as you see the injured knights and citizens who were unfortunately hit by the Pyro-Anemo combo. There have slight burns on their skins, some of them unconscious.
Screams of anguish and groans of pain were heard in the area, as many people were shocked by the tragic scene in front of them. Many voices had been heard, making your ears hurt over the matter, but you couldn't help but stare at Venti instead, who was turning pale as his favorite flower.
"He used his Anemo Vision!"
"I kind of forgot that that bard was blessed by the gods... Why of all people deserved of them, why them?"
"They had been injured, please help them!"
But there is one yell from one of the people that makes you stop in your tracks, and you knew that Venti is going to hear these piercing words:
"IF HE WAS THE ANEMO ARCHON THAT HE REALLY SAID HE WAS, THEN WHY WOULD HE TRY TO HURT HIS PEOPLE?"
------------
The cliffhanger was a giveaway, isn't it?
Do I need to announce that Part 5 is in the works since this was intended to be long ass until I decided to cut it again into two parts? I got too carried away, it seems.
To be honest, I apologize for OOC Venti and other characters involved in advance if you feel like they are, it's just that it's my first time writing for Genshin Impact actually. I used to write for Detective Conan and Assassination Classroom before, and this was new territory for me. I'm so glad many appreciated the SAGAU fics I made for the fandom.

Some time ago, in Mondstadt:
It had become an oddly frequent occurrence for the Anemo Archon to stand in Jean’s office. What's worse, she didn't know if she was the only person in the room to think so.
While she abruptly stood up from her chair, Diluc and Lisa barely acknowledged the bard. Both looked up for a moment, only to focus their attention back on whatever they were doing prior.
"Ah! Well if it isn't the beloved Knights of Favonious. You know, I would've come sooner if I could!" Venti trips as he stumbles through the door. "Ah, I'll never get used to that. Excuse me—" his tone shifts an octave higher before lowering again into an eager voice. "Where are they?"
"Who...?"
"Oh, Grand Master Jean. Of course I mean the Creator, who else would've been able to steal the winds from the Anemo Archon?"
His statement seems to catch the attention of both Lisa and Diluc, although the former was much more slick about it. With all eyes on him, Venti falls silent, looking around in a daze. It is only after he stands still that Jean notices the bottle of wine in his left hand, and the two wine glasses in his right.
"Uhm. Hello?" Venti lets out a bubbly laugh that seems unfit for the situation. "I get it, the Creator must've spooked you more then they did me, but uhm." He holds up the items in his hands. "We got loooots of stuff to catch up on, and I'd rather start sooner than later if I want to wrap up the events pertaining to the last five centuries."
"The Creator…?" Jean hesitantly looks at Diluc and Lisa. She's not sure if she's seeking confirmation more than forgiveness.
Please, for the love of the Archons, please let the imposter not turn out to be the True One.
Venti raises an eyebrow, scanning the room from Jean to Diluc, to Lisa, and back to Diluc, until finally settling on Jean. “Uh, yeah? Did you not welcome them? I can practically feel their energy overflowing this space."
He gestures with the wine bottle around the room, and Jean is certain she'll have a heart attack any minute now.
"The... Creator."
She plops down into the chair, a gesture of defeat, silently resigning herself to the idea that the real deal had been right in front of her this whole time, and heavily regretting how she considered locking them up. As the Acting Grand Master this is bound to cause the reputation of Mondstadt to fall, not to mention her own betrayal towards the  Creator of everything.
Venti purses his lips as he watches Jean. he shifts his weight from leg to leg, "Uh-oh. That doesn't sound good."
Diluc (praise his soul) helps to divert the attention from Jean when he speaks up, "You mean, Kaeya was right?" He sounds annoyed and bewildered, "That can't be. Surely the real-"
Diluc stops when his eyes land on the somewhat silly looking Archon. He remembers that he never suspected the Anemo Archon to be drinking in his own tavern prior to the Dvalin fallout. So perhaps if an Archon can mingle with their people unnoticed, the Creator could–in theory, too.
Diluc gestures somewhat difficulty into the air. "Well."
"Well? " Venti mimics him.
"It's a difficult situation," the redhead grunts out, flustered by the fast paced conversation and information thrown at his head. Diluc crosses his arms as a scowl settles on his face.
Venti huffs. "More difficult than dealing with the abyss order and Dvalin when he was corrupted?" he turns around in his place, "surely it can't be that bad. I've only been away for half a week—and I would've been faster if our beloved Creator gave me a notice." He lets out a cheeky laugh accompanied by a wink and plops down into the chair across from Jean. He then carelessly drops the two glasses and wine bottle onto the surface of the desk separating them both. Jean now realizes that the extra glass was meant for the Creator.
The Creator of Teyvat, the one she had thought to be an imposter and nearly banished from Mondstadt.
She pulls her fingers through her hair and faintly prays, "Dear Barbatos–"
"Oh? You're ready to talk now?" Venti responds as he makes himself more comfortable in the chair. While everyone else seemed tense, he appeared unbothered by the whole ordeal. Probably, because he still believed the Creator to be around. Would he understand Jean’s misunderstanding if she told him what had occurred?
Lisa’s voice chimes over her doom-filled thoughts. "Give her a moment. It's safe to say we're all catching up to the fact that the ‘imposter’ turned out to be the True One."
Venti furrows his eyebrows. "Huh." New information seems to solve a riddle in his mind. When he speaks next, it's more to himself then anyone else, "I suppose that'd make sense why I'm not able to pinpoint their aura." He then speaks to Jean, “So what did you do?”
It wasn’t a question filled with judgement towards her. The tone of his voice was bubbly, as always, and filled with genuine curiosity—though, Jean could feel the concern rise in his words.
“I am not certain what happened before they reached Mondstadt,” she starts to pile the events in her mind and decides to soften the blow, “–but, ‘the Creator’ seemingly appeared out of no where at the gates. No one, aside from Kaeya and Albedo, were able to sense their aura. If the two tell the truth, Kaeya sent the Creator to Dragonspine when chaos began to rise within the headquarters, and only a day later, the Creator disappeared without a trace once more.”
Diluc adds to her story, “When I spoke with Eula and Kaeya, they believed they had seen a second Albedo before the Creator disappeared.” He hesitates for a moment, “Could this be related? Or could everything be explained with malfunctioning ley lines?”
Jean watches as Venti taps his fingers against the armrest. He slings his legs up and down and nods to himself. “This is certainly a first for me as well. Sure, the Creator has some magnificent powers, but I still can’t explain why they’d appear so suddenly, not to mention the strange events surrounding their descent.”
He opens his eyes and stares into the window behind Jean. There is an odd expression on his face, one that she can’t read.
Venti's next words are once again in a bubbly tone, the earlier melancholy washed away by newfound determination. “Seems like it’s our task to uncover what exactly is going on!” Venti jumps up and reaches for the wine bottle and glasses. “One thing I’m sure of is that you met the real Creator. Now, we just need to find out where they disappeared to.”
Diluc mutters in a tired tone, “That sounds easier said than done.”
Venti shrugs. “Last time we teamed up, we solved the mystery of Dvalin. I’m confident we’ll solve this mystery as well! In the meantime, I’ll be pulling my own strings. If I happen to find a clue, you’re the first ones to know.”
He winks at Jean, and the stress morphs into resolve. It’s awfully frustrating to have all these events happen without her ever being present. All the clues she has, are told by other people. If she wanted to find the Creator, she will have to rely on the other people in this room.
When the Archon leaves with a wave, she sends a small one back.
“So.” Diluc crosses his arms, “What are you going to do?”
Jean averts her eyes before she finds his gaze again. “We cannot ask Kaeya for help. At least not while he’s recovering.”
From the short distance in the room, Jean hears Diluc release a frustrated sigh. “I’ll try to ask my own contacts and see if they’ve seen anything out of the ordinary. However, I believe it’s best to keep this between us three.”Diluc rubs his temple. “If this information falls into the wrong hands, who knows what they’ll do. The Creator has been gone for five centuries. Whatever is happening now, it can’t be good.”
In the corner of her eye, Jean sees Lisa nod in agreement. She, too, agrees with Diluc. Jean nods. “Then we’ll wait for your return.” When the brunette faces turns her head, Jean speaks directly to her. “Can you keep an eye on Kaeya for now? I don’t think he’ll do anything to our disadvantage, but I have a feeling he won’t give up on finding the Creator once he’s better.”
“Of course.”
Lisa lets out a warm chuckle, a sound that suggests she's concealing her own thoughts and opinions on the matter—something she’ll likely share once Diluc has left.
“Alright then.” Diluc purses his lips and gives Jean a firm nod. “I’ll keep in touch.”
“Be safe, Master Diluc.” Jean calls out to him as he closes the door. Although the situation is less than comfortable, she feels safer knowing she can trust on the people around her.
And so, she waits—until one of her three confidants have found a lead.
Tumblr media
When Jean received a letter from Diluc only a day later with an urgent request to meet up, Jean felt her life shatter at her feet. Time seemed to pass antagonisingly slow as she waited for Diluc. In the end, it took only a few hours for him to arrive at her office—it really hadn’t made sense for her to worry as much as she did. Still, the urgency he noted in his letter made her feel off about the whole meeting.
Diluc never sits down in the chair across from Jean. A habit, or perhaps he felt too awkward, and considering he had a past with the Knights of Favonius—the latter made more sense. Either way, Jean is forced to follow his pacing form shift around the room. Without Lisa, the atmosphere between the two was more relaxed, and Diluc is able to speak more freely.
“I’m planning on visiting Liyue myself. Because of the wine industry, I could enter the city on business terms even with the lockdown.” Diluc speaks his thoughts out loud, and the words are said as a statement. He never directly asks for Jean’s opinion or her approval, which he doesn’t need, but it still makes her feel out of control.
Jean clears her throat as subtly as she can before easing into the one sided conversation of Diluc which started after he told her about Rex Lapis' passing. “Why don’t you take one of the Knights?“
She would have offered to go herself, but with her title, she was bound to Mondstadt. She watches Diluc abruptly stop as she pulls him out of his train of thoughts. His eyes sharpen for a moment, eyebrows lowering, and his mouth opens before quickly changing his mind and relaxing when his eyes meet hers.
He hangs his head low and sighs. “I’d rather not.“
“Diluc,“ He looks up when she calls out his name, “I don’t doubt your strengths, but with the return of the Creator and the death of an Archon, this problem might be beyond our own limits. We should not act hastily.”
His face sours again. “You’re right, and it’s exactly why I won’t let some rookie Knight waddle into Liyue without any knowledge of what’s happening. Whoever you’re thinking of sending, he’ll only burden me.”
Jean purses her lips together, not missing the words he chose. Even without communicating, the two had been thinking about the same person.
He speaks again, “I need you to stay here and keep watch of Mondstadt while I’m gone. I’ll be leaving in a few days after I’ve gotten everything in order.” He crosses his arms, eyes softening despite the serious expression on his face, “I will contact you if I know more.”
Hopeless and without power, she watches Diluc exit as fiercely as he had entered her office. Nowadays, it seemed common for him to stir fires and leave as he unknowingly lets them fester into an inferno.
It had seemed so easy and petty to send her own battalion of Knights while Diluc was still preparing for the trip, but she knew he was right. Only a few people were suited to go to Liyue, and Diluc was one of the two.
Tumblr media
The warm steam of the tea in front of Jean swirls upwards and around the room, spreading a soft floral scent that relaxes her despite the stress that she should be feeling. Lisa, who sits across from her, smiles as she watches the tension elevate from Jean’s shoulders. While it wasn’t uncommon for her to bring in tea for the Acting Grand Master, it was uncommon for Jean to nearly doze off in the comfort.
“Oh dear,” Lisa puts her hand in front of her mouth in a cheeky motion, “If anyone were to enter they’d surely think we’d be slacking off.”
A frustrated sigh escapes Jean’s lips and the tension returns to her body. “I doubt anyone would. They’re all still in the belief of the era of peace. The worst reports I’ve been getting as of late consist of inebriated citizens making too much noise after dark or cats being stuck on roofs.”
Lisa can’t help the chuckle escape her lips. Sometimes it felt like she enjoyed seeing people twist and turn in discomfort, but Jean knew better.
“Have you gotten any news on Kaeya?”
The brunette brings her teacup to her lips before setting it down again. “It’s hard to tell what he is actually thinking, but he seems to be back to normal. Earlier today, I saw him enter Angel’s Share.”
“What…?” Jean sits upright and raises an eyebrow. “This early? Isn’t he supposed to patrol until the evening? Has anyone taken over his shift?”
Calm and collected as always, Lisa pushes the porcelain cup in Jean’s direction, a silent reminder for her to relax once more. “It’ll be alright. The abyss order is no longer a problem, and we shouldn’t act like there is one either.” She tilts her head, and a strand of brown hair falls onto her cheek, “For the people it is important to see the Grand Master at ease.”
“Acting— ” Jean mutters out, “Acting Grand Master.”
The tea in front of her has cooled down to a comfortable temperature, and she brings it up to her lips. It had been a couple of days since she had gotten proper sleep and regular meals. Perhaps Lisa had been right, but with Diluc leaving the city tomorrow, she continues to feel restless.
With only Lisa in the room, Jean lets her body slack in the chair. Papers that were due had been pushed to the corners of her desk, making place for the two, now empty, cups of tea. There was so much to do, but everything felt insignificant in the grand scheme of things.
These moments of silence are the only thing keeping her sane, and she appreciates how Lisa seems to gift it to her every day. If the world were more forgiving, it’d given her more time to rest, alas everyone seems to enter her office in a whirlwind nowadays.
As the door is slammed open, Jean fumbles to make herself look presentable.
Out of all people...
“Kaeya?!”
The Cavalry Captain skips any greeting and goes straight to the point as he closes the door behind him. “I have some valuable information.” He walks closer, standing upright next to Lisa, who seems too immersed in her book to acknowledge him. He continues, “I know it might seem like a false rumor, useless gossip—if you may,” His voice falters for a second, his smile falling before reappearing, “but if the news is true, it’d give us an edge.”
Lisa continues to hold her book up, but Jean can see how her eyes have moved up. While she appears unbothered, she is most certainly curious about this tidbit.
Jean watches him carefully. “What news?”
He leans in closer, his voice lower, careful. “Some Fatui were talking about the passing of the Geo Archon.”
From the inside, Jean feels a wave of relief washes over her. When he had entered the room in such an unsuspecting way, she had expected yet another big problem to be shoved into her lap.
She crosses her legs and inhales sharply as she looks up at him. “We know.”
“You know?” His expression turns into genuine shock, something many people will never see on Kaeya’s face.
From the corner of Jean’s eye, she can see Lisa resist a chuckle. “I assume you didn’t get this information from the streets? Say, what were you doing in Angel’s share during work hours?” Her forest green eyes move up to him and he dramatically puts a hand on his hip.
“Gathering intel, as you heard. Though, it seems to be old intel for you.”
Kaeya leans his hand onto Lisa’s chair before he shifts his weight once more. He tries to hide it, but with the confirmation of the intel being true, he is filled with more questions than answers. And instead of asking any, he dances around it.
“I know you don’t believe me, really, I don’t blame you.” He stops for a moment, putting his hand on his chest, “But now with the death of Rex Lapis? Something must be wrong.”
Jean remembers that he still believes that he and Albedo are the only ones to feel the Creator’s aura, and thus their identity. If he hadn’t acted on his own earlier—had he known about Venti—she might’ve told him.
Before she can do anything, Lisa swiftly acts out and calls out her name. Jean hums, listening to what follows, “Perhaps it would be time to send a diplomat to assess the situation in Liyue,” and the reasoning she gives afterward forces Jean into a corner.
Kaeya, too, joins in to further pressure her. It is after Lisa continues to push Jean, suggesting to send him, that she finally gives in—hoping her beloved librarian has more than an impulse in mind.
“Okay,” Jean watches Kaeya’s eye brighten, “but you need to take Diluc with you.”
The smile on his face falters. ”Diluc, really?”
”He was the one who told me about Liyue’s predicament, and he is more than capable of handling situations like these.”
Perhaps Lisa made the right move to push her in this direction. She still felt unsettled with Diluc leaving on his own. If Kaeya were to go with him, he’d be prevented from doing anything reckless by himself, and in return, Diluc would keep an close eye on Kaeya.
While it might seem like a punishment to both, it would’ve been the best course of action for Jean. She watches as Kaeya starts to give in, uttering a ‘fine’ in agreement.
With a lighter feeling in her chest knowing Diluc would at least not be alone, she asks Kaeya to keep contact, just like Diluc would. If she couldn’t investigate herself, she would have to rely on others, and two had been better than one in this case.
When Kaeya finally shuts the door, Jean looks back at Lisa who moves back into the chair across from her. When her bright eyes meet Jean, she is sent a warm smile. It is supposed to ease her, but doubt eventually settles in her mind regardless.
“Did you really think it was wise to send him?” Jean hopes for a simple ‘yes’ in reply.
The librarian leans back into the chair, crossing her legs comfortably once she’s settled, and calmly sighing. “If he stays here, he’ll pry until he figures it out.” Lisa turns a finger in the air. “And I do believe Diluc would keep a close eye on him for us.”
Jean sighs. “Still…”
If there was something wrong, would Kaeya suffice with Diluc?
“Don’t worry so much,” Lisa places her hand over Jean’s. “We’ll figure out what’s going on.”
When a soft breeze enters her office, Jean is reminded of someone.
“Have you heard anything of Venti?” Lisa asks.
She shakes her head. “If what he said about his power still counts, it might take a while.”
If she thought too much about it, it seemed as if the world itself was trying to prevent its people from finding out what was true and what was not.
“Should I brew some more tea?” Lisa asks at last.
Jean nods, her previous thoughts forgotten in the wind.

Commissioned by @udretlnea
Request: I'm thinking slice of life, second person, and it takes place in Mondstadt. The reader is well known and liked by practically everyone; they are currently there to observe the Alchemy Event going on right now- This is just set-up. I imagine Venti is there waiting w/ Diona for their potion order; then he sees Reader and he gets intrigued so he surprises them. The two walk out of earshot and have a pleasant chat about what's been going on- Since the fic is only 1k, I'd prefer to keep it short between them. Reader mentions how they're adjusting to their role as "Overseer of Teyvat" (implying this is a Creator!Sagau); they offhandedly mention how Khaenri'ah's been working on dimension hopping tech before Diona drags Venti away. And the fic ends with Reader feeling uneasy about opening Teyvat up, but they choose to ignore it to go and experience the event.
Thanks for commissioning me!
It is convenient; the fact that you obtained godlike power as soon as you stepped foot unto the soil of Teyvat. It had been a tremendous help in navigating these new lands you'd been transmigrated into and made life easier. Just like this time. It didn't really take long until you reached the venue where the Alchemy Event organized by the Knights of Favonius is, all due to your ability to teleport long distances. You shook your head to get out of your musings and began to look around your surroundings.
It was a modest event focused solely on alchemy. Unfamiliar faces from both Mondstadt and outside of it flocked the booths, tents and stands full of test tubes and questionably multicolored smoke to see what was happening. It soothes you to be normal for a few minutes… until people noticed you standing amongst them and bowed in your presence. The scene made you squirm a little where you stand, not totally uncomfortable but still unused to the attention. You raised a hand, as if blessing them, nodding your head to signal that they can resume the event. Which they do, but some approached you to either ask for a blessing, for guidance in their life's path, or simply to greet you. You are liked, perhaps not as loved as the archons despite ranking higher, but you prefer it that way. It's less expectations, after all.
"Well, well, well. If it isn't the Overseer of the world."
"Heya, Your Grace!"
You carefully made your way past the crowd to reach the two people who called out your name. You smiled in relief; finally, people you know! Venti was looking at you with a bright smile with both hands on his hips and Diona is enthusiastically waving at you. You pat Diona, which the bartender swiped at with a playful hiss.
"Venti, Diona, hi!" You greeted them. "What a surprise to see you here. This is the last place I imagined you to hang around in."
"I understand you for thinking that way, but curiosity had gotten the best of me." Venti answered, and then assumed a serious thinking pose. You rolled your eyes playfully with a thinly veiled smile. He's going to ask something ridiculous, isn't he? "If alchemy has the power to transform matter, I wonder if it could also be used to turn water into wine?"
There it is. Diona fumed, but you cover her mouth with your hand and answered. "I could turn water into wine. Easy."
Venti's eyes widened. His smile as bright as the sun above. "Really?!"
"No." You're not sure. You probably could, if you tried.
"My hopes and dreams…" Venti fake-cried and pouted, but he immediately gets over it and smiles. "Anyway, what brought you here, Overseer?" He gestures for you to walk with him, so you follow, steps falling in line with his.
"Oh, you know," you vaguely wave your hand, trying to make sense of what you were feeling. "Just looking around. I got curious myself about alchemy so I came."
"Ah, I see," Venti nodded. You mentioned to him and the other archons on one of the traditional divine get togethers — brought back by Venti and Zhongli — that your world once studied alchemy. Turns out your alchemy is a sham and couldn't turn stuff to gold, but it did make way for the study of chemistry. "I hope you are enjoying yourself."
"Don't worry, I am. Especially since I'm with you."
Venti gave you a soft look."Aww. I'm honored, truly."
You laughed and gave him a push, your cheeks feeling a little warm from the attention. He snorted and retaliated by send a gentle breeze your way to mess your hair.
A companionable silence briefly falls over the two of you like a cozy blanket as you sit down on a bench with the perfect view of the event. A tiny explosion from some failed alchemical experiment echoed somewhere and you thought you heard the Traveler's surprised yelp and Paimon screeching from the same direction. You both ignored it.
"You seem busy these days, Overseer," The Anemo Archon finally broke the silence. "What have you been up to?"
"The usual. Making sure the Irminsul is healthy through checking with Nahida, keeping the Abyss Order in check, rebuilding Khaenri'ah- ah, since we're talking about the place, I should also mention that they're working on some advanced technology. Something about travelling through another dimension."
Venti nodded, but his face looks a little troubled. "Are you sure that's a great idea? With Celestia gone, there's nothing that can stop Khaenri'ah from fulfilling their dreams. However…"
There's just way too many risks. You can hear his unspoken words in your head. As far as you are aware, they're "digging" through time and space to get to the world where you came from. While interdimensional trade can certainly be advantageous for this world in both technological advancement and knowledge, you're afraid of the repercussions of messing around with wormholes and potential war that can erupt due to disputes borne of different culture and lust for more territory.
Humans are greedy creatures, after all.
But before you could answer, Diona is already running towards where you were both seated. She pants and places both hands on her knees. The girl huffs one last time and looks at the green-clad bard, irritated. "Where in Teyvat have you been?! Your potion is complete so come get it already!"
"Okay," he replied, standing up. "I hate to cut this conversation short, dear friend, but I must leave. I hope you enjoy the rest of the event."
You nodded with a tired smile, watching Venti follow Diona, who's doing her best to keep walking ahead of the bard in spite of her shorter legs. You feel a little uneasy about the future, your heart being seized with fear for this world you swore to protect.
For now, however, you want to enjoy this peaceful day. Perhaps you'll go greet the Traveller.

Creator's POV
I can feel my heart racing in my chest. The inside and outside of this room is silent, except for my heavy breathing. The door opens and a few kenin rush in.
"Sozunoshi! Are you alright?!" The older one asks.
While panting, I nod. Whatever dream I was having, means something.
After having breakfast with Ei I run into the city and look for a teleport way point. When I do find one, I stop to think about where to go. I wonder if going back to Liyue would be good, but I also want to see what Fontaine looks like in real life plus I want to find out if people can breathe underwater in the water around Fontaine. So I make up my mind to go to Fontaine.
Closing my eyes, I think of the Court of Fontaine, I feel a familiar warm feeling wash over me. When I open my eyes I'm met with a crowd of people.
"Umm... h-hello," I stutter out.
The people stay silent for a bit before they move closer to me. The noise, the amount of people, and how close they are makes me freak out. Tears flow down my cheeks.
"What is going on here?" A voice asks.
It sounds like a woman, but it has this authority to it that makes the people part like the red sea so whoever just spoke can see me. As the crowd parts, I see a tall red hat and long purple hair.
I know that hat and hair, I remember it from the Roses and Muskets event... It belonged to a hardened badass and hidden softie.
"Chevreuse," I mumble.
She looks at me, and stares. Her cold expression doesn't falter. She was followed by many of Special Security and Surveillance Patrol officers following behind her.
"Your grace, ludex Neuvillette has asked me and my best officers to escort you to the Palais Mermonia," she told me.
There were whispers from the people around us. I had enough of this being seen as a god thing and looked behind me and there are gardemeks. If I can teleport through the teleport waypoint, maybe I can teleport to locations like in the game.
So I close my eyes and think of Mondstandt city and hoped I ended up in the right place.
Venti's POV
Diluc was trying to cut off my wine drinking again. The Angel's Share was getting full. I walked out and then saw a flash of light. Running towards the light, I see... the Creator.
Helping them up, I lead them to the Angel's Share. When we get inside I led them to bar and sat them down.
"What would you like to drink?" I ask.
The Creator tells me what drink they want and I order it for them.
"It's been awhile, where have you been?" I asked once our drinks were in front of us.
The Creator told me what happened and the story was a mess. I feel like they are hiding something from me. I get Diluc's attention and he agrees to have the Creator stay at his home again, but they seem nervous and say they have to go somewhere. As me and Diluc tries to stop them, they get up and dash away from the tavern.
When I return to where I'm staying, I see a letter from Ei.
Reading it, it seems like she is getting Inazuma ready for the festival to welcome the Creator back. I smile and remember Teyvat has five more days before the Creator will be here, forever.

dilf zhongli x gender neutral reader modern au
tw: ITS A BIT SUGGESTIVE AT THE END, HOWEVER THERES NOTHING EXPLICITY EXPLAINING WHAT HAPPENED!!!
summary: you been working under zhongli for many years. from the moment his business started to the promotion of his company having more than one building in the city, you carried him through and through. you could never imagine not leaving his side unless something personal were to happen to you.
"i see, can i have y/n here to help decide the choices ?" zhongli stated. the meeting between the fatui board and archon board, your company were arguing about how to collaborate together on a project. this matter was mostly going to happen just because the fatui company needed some cash, well a ton. the members of the fatui company were currently occupied by some of the members of your company.
you heard voices of venti yelling at scaramouche about the incomes of how if they did a wine collaboration it would hit off so well. along with venti came kaeya coming in mentioning about how expensive could make it. however scaramouche scoffed them off saying that they werent taking this serious.
but remembering where you were asked to, you had gotten up and walked to your boss's place in the meeting. waiting patiently for him, to call your name out but since his eyes were focused on the screen mostly, you had to catch his attention.
"sir, i am here" you replied firmly. you saw him motion you to stand up and come see what he was looking at. you were expecting something really important. however when you were looking at his screen, you saw many options of boy clothes on a kid clothing website.
"which one would you think it'll suit my son?" he asked you.
you knew he was married but got divorced a few years ago, still knowing he had his son and his youngest a daughter. he never told you their names but you always looked forward to seeing him whenever they came by to the office.
"sir i think the one in the top right corner will suit your son the best" you paid closely to your outfit choice, knowing that his son would suit it the best. it would match his hair but as well his bubbly personality.
"thank you, my dear" he said, knowing that you would end up walking back to your seat in the meeting. he called out,
"would you be a dear and grab my morning coffee from my desk?"
this was the first time you ever heard him ask you an offer like that. surely you were his assistant but majority of the time his coffee was always with him. suspicious, you thought.
"yes sir. ill be right back" you grabbed onto the writing pad you had in your hands, bowing to him quickly before heading to his office.
the walk on the way to there wasnt too long but it managed to get you spaced out because you were wondering why he was making you do something like this.
it's strange, you kept thinking. strange because that cup of coffee he has is always placed on his desk. you then thought to, oh no? am i a bad assistant for not realizing his cup wasnt there ? no it cant be? is he testing me?
you saw the sign of his name placed on the right side of the door. knowing what you would expect to see in his room, you gently opened the door. turning the handle and entering in, as you walked in you quickly closed the door.
you were greeted to seeing the many photos he had of his children and himself. as well some photos of your staff and yourself in it. walking over to his desk, you saw the cup he had. the coffee was already gone. shocked as you were, cusses came out of your mouth knowing he was messing around with you.
"son of a-" you were about to cuss until you heard someone else entering the office.
"excuse me but-"
"oh y/n? that's where you were " those golden amber eyes he had were catching your eyes as he made eye contact with you.
"sir? oh yes im sorry if i had taken a while to get your cup but you see-"
"no need to worry, darling. i knew the cup was emptied from the start" he chuckled, while seeing your face turn from a smile into a 'wtf' face. the door was shut once again, leaving the two of you alone in his office.
"sir was this a test?" you asked curiously. you were making a much more serious face than before. his eyes paying attention from the frown you were making to the way your hands were firmly holding onto the writing pad.
"oh no, i wanted to talk to you about something. i apologize for scaring you earlier, my dear" he was much closer to you than ever before.
"then what did you need me for? shouldnt you be in the meeting right now?" you kept asking him all of these things. he really did wanted to talk to you about something however you werent giving him time to.
"shhh, y/n" he said, using his pointer finger to close your mouth from further talking. "remember i still wanted to talk to you about something ?" he reminded you.
some guilt came into you knowing that your boss was trying to tell you something however when you were about to speak up about something.
his hand gently cupping your cheeks, pressing his lips against yours. as nervous you got not realizing your boss of 4+ years was kissing you. you werent sure to kiss back because you didnt know what was truly going on in his head. the way he calls you 'darling' a lot. the way his eyes makes it's way to seeing you, he gets a bit exciting knowing you're here with him. yet however you never know what he feels about you.
hes told you the things he appreciates about you but has he ever given you some mixed feelings? you remember those times where women and men had been wanting his attention during those parties your company has every year. the feelings of some jealousy here and there yet you always brushed it off.
knowing where he is in workplace and even outside of his home. you wouldnt ever fit in to be in a romantic setting with him.
you couldnt replace the last lover he had right?
you would be wrong once you realized that you enjoyed this feeling. the feeling of wanting to be closer to him.
you kissed him back, dropping the writing pad that was in your hands. wrapping your arms gently around his neck and allowing him to place you onto his messy desk. the kiss was sweet yet had some fiery in it. it felt like you both wanted to do this before.
the hand that was on your face was then replaced onto your thighs. you both continue to kiss until he pulls away. seeing the flushed face you had right now, as he was in between your legs.
"oh my, i didnt think we would end up like this " he said, teasing you since he saw the adorable face you were going to give him soon.
"mr. zhongli i-" you were then cut off by another kiss. surprised by the position you two were in currently, your arms were pulling him closer to you.
"listen, y/n. if you stayed a bit quiet, i think i want to show you what i been keeping a secret for a while now" he said, continuing to kiss you until you let out a small moan by accident.
you had pulled away this time, slowly feeling your cheeks burning. wanting to cover your face with your hands however you looked away, not wanting to see his reaction.
"woah there, y/n. i didnt know you were enjoying this. you been thinking about this for a while, huh?" he gave you such a smug look knowing he was right about how you viewed him.
"sir..this is a bit new to me but i-"
"no darling, it's okay. i want you in the same way you want me too" he reassured you, gently making you look at him with his hand. "you want me?" you asked softly.
he nodded before placing his mouth onto your neck.
"i do, my dear. so please allow me to love you in the ways i shouldve a long time ago"
epilogue:
his chest was pressed onto your face as you woke up. currently where you were wasnt the workplace. instead you were in his bed in his house. knowing what happened between you two during that meeting you assumed you mustve passed out. however by the looks of it, the soreness you had proved that you two went a bit out.
not paying attention to your surroundings, you saw his eyes opening up.
"hmm..y/n?" he asked.
you looked at him, with a flushed face. damn he looks so good right now, you almost were to scream until you felt your forehead against his chest. you were quietly listening to his heart beat, not knowing he was looking down at you.
"you hear that, darling ?" he asked you.
you nodded knowing what he meant, his heart was beating a bit faster ever since you two finally were able to share an intimate moment like that.
"hey mr zhongli.." you stated.
"hm?"
"are we..um..you know, a bit more than working partners now?" you nervously asked.
he laughed at seeing you being this nervous, however he also admired the way you were acting towards him now.
"yes, darling. we are more than just business partners " cupping your cheek gently, while admiring all the marks he left behind.
he took note of how you two acted during your heated moment. started from the time the meeting was going to end until he was the last person leaving the building. after you had gone asleep once your session finally ended. he managed to tire you out so much even though they were breaks between every or few sessions in between. he never could imagine doing this with you until he realized a few days ago, of how a certain man from another company was talking to you. jealousy spread through his bones yet he kept it in not wanting to disrespect you and the man you had talked to.
however seeing the way you were looking at him through out those days before he decided to make a move. a part of him, wanted you with him further more in his life.
"i love you.." he said.

Shot for shot
Jealous Kaeya Alberich/gn!vision wielder!reader
Rating: T
Requested by: N/a
Word count: 1182
Short fic inspired by @electrosair from their post "Jealous headcanons anemo + cryo ver."
Notes: hi hope u dont mind this!! I got really inspired by the kaeya section and well the writing gods just had to possess me :,) this was supposed to be a drabble but then I blinked and I hit 1k words
~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~
You and Kaeya were shot for shot so far. Bar hopping in Mond was a treat for you, even if it was a little more regular for your boyfriend. Unfortunately, your daily habits did not lend themselves well to a constant stupor.
But every so often, for a special evening of fun, Kaeya would dress the both of you in your favourite clothes and whizz you out the door for a night on the town.
The Angel's Share was your last stop for the night. You'd already said hi to Diona and many of the other working bartenders at your regular places, and now Charles was setting the two of you up with a special limited time new flavour of dandelion wine.
You watched as he poured the ingredients into two tall glasses, vision swimming as you watched green pearlescent liquid swirl in to mix with the wine. You smile dopily at it, swinging your head loosely around to look at your partner. "Babe look it's like. It's like Venti," you giggle out. "It's green and sparkly."
Kaeya, just as plastered as you, snorts out a laugh into the back of his hand. "I'll say. Contains just the right amount of wine, too."
You turn back to Charles. "Has Venti had one of these yet?"
He tops off your glasses and pushes them towards you, moving on to collect other empty glasses from patrons around the bar adjacent to them. "No," he thinks, "but I'll tell him you recommend it next time he comes in."
You shrug, drunkenly content with that answer. This was only released within the last few days, and it wasn't like the bard was at the Angel's Share every night. Taking the glass, you take a gulp of the drink.
To say it's new is an understatement. You have no idea what kind of things Diluc was experimenting with, but this topped anything he'd ever done. The ice in the bottom kept it chilly as sweet wine, a hint of Mondstat's sweet mint, a little side of lime, and something just distinctly flavoured as green slides down your tongue. It's a refreshing taste after the last bar, which was arguably one of the cheapest ones in town.
A sound makes its way out of your mouth, unsure in it's own sound if it's some kind of moan, warble, or drunken hiccup.
You blink. Wiping your mouth, you can't help but giggle. "Sorry Charles, I'm really drunk and that is going to be a smash hit."
When you look back at your boyfriend, he's staring at you, but not at your face, mouth open in soft wonder, eyes dancing in a glinting light.
"Kaeya? What's wrong?"
"Your vision..." he responds softly. You look over to where it's attached to you. It's glowing a faint light, not quite enough to rival the firelight from the torches, but enough to ad a coloured hue. The other patrons in the bar hush down to look at what's making the light.
After a moment, the wave of drunk from taking another sip passes and the light fades back to nothingness.
You stare at your vision, head swimming with too much inebriation to make any sense of what just happened.
The two of you look at Charles. He glances between the both of you, but shrugs. "We've never had anyone with a vision try it yet."
You scan yourself up and down. "Well..." you meet Kaeya's eyes to reassure him. "I don't feel any different. Not bad, just drunk." You give him a sloppy thumbs up, elbow supported up by the table.
Kaeya shakes his head at you, smiling. You can hear his amusement in his voice, "I'll try that next, but I gotta hit the head before I give it a shot." He runs a hand over your hair that lazily slides down your cheek before he gets up and goes to find the bathroom.
As he does so, a large group of patrons exit the bar for the night, so Charles picks up his empty plate tray and swings his towel over his shoulder. "Holler if you need anything," he says, and you swivel your thumbs up towards him.
He leaves the bar to collect the glasses and trays, and as he does so you turn to ponder your drink.
Your thoughts space out, mingling images of Venti's happy, laughing face and what his thoughts would be on this drink, shifting over to Kaeya, his hands on your face, resting against him at the bar, and—
"Excuse me?" You jolt up, focus broken from the still slowly swirling beverage in front of you.
"Can I help you?" You direct your gaze towards them. It's a man, a young man, with windswept brown hair dressed in the knight's uniform. His cheeks are rosy, but clearly he has more of his wits about him than you.
Not that you couldn't hold your own against him, regardless. But he didn't seem to know that.
He sits down in Kaeya's seat to look at you.
"I saw your vision when it started glowing. That was really cool."
You turn and give him a smile. At least he's friendly. "Thanks! I got it from doing things." You give him your best serious wobbly nod and he chuckles at you.
"Well, anyway, I'm Browen."
"Nice to meet you Browen, I'm [___]".
He smirks at you, taking your answer as an invitation to continue. "I have a vision myself you know."
Your eyebrows raise. "Really?" You glance around his form, but don't spot the framed crystal anywhere.
"Yeah," he says, "I keep it at home because I'm not supposed to wear it around the other knights." He leans close to you, putting his hand up to his mouth like he's sharing a secret. "They get jealous." He winks over at the table where his knight companions are more focused on their own drink and camaraderie than on whatever was happening here.
"I could take you home, show it to you," he prompts, and you feel disappointment rush through you. Of course he's a liar who just wants to get into your pants because you have a vision. You need to tell Jean to whip these men into better shape.
"What would you like to show us, Browen?" A hand claps hard onto the knight's shoulder as a familiarly sultry voice soothes your agitated nerves. The man shoots up straight, expression changing to one like a dog caught stealing.
He stands up, stumbling over himself to get back to his original table. "N-nothing, Captain. Sorry to bother you."
You sigh as he leaves, tension flooding out of you. "That's more like it."
"Come on, love." Kaeya swings his arms around your shoulders and tosses coin on the table for Charles when he returns.
"Where are we going? We're not going to finish?" You glance up at him, your shoulders at his rib level.
The hand around your arm squeezes as he ducks down to whisper in your ear, "oh, I think my home private show is going to remain private."

Let The Wind Guide Us [Venti x (f)Pregnant Reader
A/N: A little bit of angst, not too much. I loved this plot too much to not write this. Let me know what you think and if I should do more next. Anyways, thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy it. Also C/n stands for child’s name. Also this isn’t proofread yet I’ll do it later today or tomorrow.
Word Count: 1.09k
Pairing: Venti x Fem!PregnantReader
Warnings: Drinking I guess
Tumblr media
“Venti, we’ve talked about this already. You can’t keep coming home at two in the morning because you want to drink all night.” You said to a drunk Venti. “Ehe~” Was the only response you received. Getting even more frustrated with Venti, you snapped. “You know what, I’m done with this! I’m done with you Venti!” You yelled, and left your shared apartment.
1st POV
I knocked on Rosaria’s door, hoping she would answer. Luckily she opened the door. “Y/n, what are you doing here at this time?” Asked a sleepy eyed Rosaria. “Well I ended things with Venti, and I was wondering if I could stay here for a bit.” I stated bluntly. “I guess, come in and we can talk about what happened between you and Lord Barsibato.” Rosaria said, being the only one knowing that secret besides the traveler. “It’s Barbatos.” I said, laughing as I went into Rosaria’s house.
“Do you want any wine?” Rosaria asked. “NO!” I yelled. “Sorry, that's why I left Venti. Plus it wouldn’t be good for the baby.” I said. Rosaria’s eyes widened and she almost spit out her drink. “BABY?!” She asked, still shocked from the news. “Oh yeah, that…haha…” I said nervously. “Does Venti know?” She asked. “We had a dinner date planned for tonight, I was going to tell him then. He didn’t come as usual.” I said. “Oh, so he was drinking again.” Rosaria said. “Yes! I wish for once that he would take things seriously! Especially my concerns for him!” I said, getting frustrated. “Well it’s alright Y/n. You can stay at my place for as long as you need to.” Rosaria said.
“Thank you Rosaria.” I replied. “Although, it probably won’t be long before he finds out that you’re pregnant.” Rosaria said, stating a good point. I sighed. “I know, I plan to move to Sumeru so that he doesn’t find out. Plus I have a good friend who lives there.” I said.
*Two weeks pass and I wave goodbye to Rosaria as I head off to Sumeru.*
[TIME SKIP-6 YEARS LATER]
“I can’t believe this little girl is almost six!” Collei said. “I know, she’s gotten so big!” I said, smiling. “Mommy, where are we going?” C/n asked. “We’re going to the Windblume Festival in Mondstadt. Auntie Rosaria invited us to come.” I told her. “6 years later and you’re finally going back?” Collei asked. “Yes, I miss my home, plus the festival is a great way to have fun.” I said. “Well since I’m going too, we’ll have extra fun!” Collei said. “Yay Collei!” C/n said excitedly.
*Y/n, Collei, and C/n go to Rosaria’s house in Mondstadt.*
Once we met Rosaria at her house, I let Collei take C/n out to play for a bit until we met up with them later. “C/n sure has grown a lot.” Rosaria stated. “Haha yeah.” I replied. “She looks a lot like Venti too.” She said “I know, she has his personality too.” I said as I sighed. Rosaria laughed. “Let’s go meet up with Collei and C/n before they cause any trouble together.” I said, as me and Rosaria left to find Collei and C/n.
……………
Once we met with Collei and C/n, I took c/n to play with the small group of kids near the Barbatos statue. I sat on a small bench as I watched C/n play with the other children.
A few minutes later C/n ran up to me and grabbed my hand. “Mommy! Mommy! Come look at this man singing! He’s so good! He likes music just like daddy!” C/n said. By the time she had finished talking, we were standing in front of him. My eyes widen as I realize who it is. It was Venti. “Y-Y/n, is that really you.” He asked. “Yes.” I replied, mentally face palming myself for answering him.
“Who’s this?” He asks, pointing to C/n. “Oh, this is C/n.” I said. “Mhm! My birthday is tomorrow! I’m turning six!” C/n said. “That’s right, you’re so smart.” I said, as I laughed at C/n. “Six years old…?” Venti said, confused. My eyes widen as I realize what C/n just said. “But that would mean…” Venti continues as he looks at me with slightly teary eyes.
“Y/n… Is C/n my daughter…?” Venti asks. “Yes.” I say as I bite my lip, waiting for a response. “W-why didn’t you tell me?” He asked. “Well I was going to, but you never showed up for our date that night.” I replied. “I’m sorry Y/n. I truly am. I hope you can forgive me for my foolish decisions. I would like to be a part of C/n’s life.” Venti said. “What about your drinking problem?” I asked.
“Oh, hello Y/n, Venti. It’s been quite some time since I’ve last seen you both. I’m surprised I haven’t seen you at the tavern in a few years Venti.” Kaeya said as he passed by. “What…?” I asked. “Yeah, after you left I stopped drinking. I realized that I made a stupid decision. I put wine before you, and I shouldn’t have. I’m sorry for everything Y/n. I really do hope that you can forgive me.” He said. “I do forgive you, but this doesn’t mean things can just go back to the way they used to be.” I said. “Yeah, we have a kid this time.” He said as he laughed. I rolled my eyes.
A few seconds later, I called C/n over. “C/n, this is your dad.” I said. She smiled and her face lit up. “Yay! I finally got to meet daddy!” C/n said. Venti smiled. “I like the sound of that.” He said. “Mommy and Daddy should get married!” C/n said. “Woah there, slow down a little bit.” I said. “Ehe~” C/n laughed. Me and Venti both laughed with C/n.
Rosaria and Collei watched from a distance. “Are you crying…?” Rosaria asked Collei. “It’s just so sweet.” Collei said, wiping her tears. They both smiled. “So I take it that we’re not telling them that we set this up?” Rosaria asked. “No, but C/n is really the one to thank. Without her being as smart as she is and following directions, this wouldn’t have worked.” Collei stated. “Yeah, that’s right.” Rosaria said. They both laughed.
*A few months later Venti proposed, I said yes and we got married at the Cathedral.*

Description: Two lovers in a bar, some juice, and a bard with… archons know how many bottles. Just a bit of tame fluff with a bit of comfort.
Tumblr media
When the redheaded man sat down in his own tavern, curios to see who the new bartender Luka kept mentioning was, he didn't expect to see you, the one and only love of his life, serving a drink to a drunk bard.
"No wonder no one else has figured out yet that you're the almighty Lord Barbatos," you groaned as you placed a large glass of wine in front of him. "Enjoy your ninteenth glass of the night, bard."
"Thank you, (Y/N)," Venti replied with his trademark cheeky grin, hiccuping as he reached for the glass.
Diluc interjected, “shouldn’t you have cut him off by now?”
Your head darted up, your eyes meeting. "Oh, Master Diluc! Sorry, I didn't see you coming in. Do you want anything to drink?"
"Please, just call me Diluc," he responded with a warm smile, "and I'll get one Grey Valley Sunset, if you don't mind?"
"Sure," you shouted at him, getting the list of recipes out before turning back to the bard. "Just... gimme a second. I'm still getting the hang of things around here."
Diluc replied, "oh, don't worry. That's fine with me." He then hesitated before asking, "but really... how is Venti going to pay for all that?"
You shyly chuckled, embarrassed as you admitted, "he said he'd give you back the bottles of wine he stole from Dawn Winery yesterday and play a song for me if I treated him to a couple glasses of wine on the house."
Diluc scowled as he turned to the bard, glaring at him. "He did what?"
"It was only thirteen bottles..." Venti exclaimed, raising his glass up and waving it around as he defended himself, hiccuping all the while. Then he paused for a second as confusion flashed over his eyes. "Or maybe it was fourteen..."
"Oh great arch-" you groaned before stopping yourself. "Actually, I take that back. I wouldn't classify this round-faced drunkard as 'great'."
"Hey," Venti shouted, "you take that back right now, or I'll… I’ll…" His words were all slurred and broken up intermittently by drunken hiccups. He looked like he was about to faint as he started finishing the glass.
Diluc scrunched his face up and sighed, "you don't have to do this for me, (Y/N). I'll find a way to get those bottles back wherever he hid them, trust me."
"No, it's alright. It has already been done, there's no going back now," you replied with a sigh as you started walking up to Diluc with his order.
"Thanks, (Y/N)," he muttered as a small smile spread across his face.
"Don't mention it," you replied before chuckling, "it is my job after all."
Diluc began, "well then tha-"
Suddenly, a large thump echoed through the tavern. In an instant, both Diluc and you casted a glance towards Venti, who was now slumped over on the table and snoring peacefully.
"You really should've cut him off," Diluc muttered before letting out a load groan of chagrin.
"Yeah," you gulped, "I really should've..."
As you walked back to assist the passed-out bard, Diluc grabbed the Grey Valley Sunset drink and took slow yet generous sips of the juice.
You asked, "is the drink alright? I think this might be my first time making it. Almost everyone who's come to this tavern so far wanted some drink with alcohol. The only people that asked me for a cup of tea and coffee so far was actually Lisa and Jean."
"I'm not surprised," Diluc answered, "most Mondstatians do have quite the obsession with alcohol."
"After today, I finally understand why Diona is so persistent with her goal of making the worst alcoholic drink ever," you laughed, "this town needs to take control over their obsession with wine some day."
In response, Diluc let out a rare, deep chuckle before taking another sip of juice.
After a small, comfortable silence you spoke up. "So... you haven't answered my previous question yet. Am I really that bad?"
"Oh," Diluc exclaimed, coughing as he tried to quickly respond despite the fact that he was currently taking a sip of the juice. "No, of course not. It's quite good. Actually, it gives me a lot of nostalgia."
"Nostalgia?" You asked, walking up to him after finishing cleaning up the empty glasses of wine Venti was drinking from, skillfully moving around the bard as he snored against the table, arms sprawled out and drool dribbling against the wood. "How so?"
Diluc gazed out into space as if remembering some long-forgotten memory. "Believe it or not," he answered, "the first drink I ever made was a glass of Grey Valley Sunset."
"No way," you gasped, pulling out the chair across from him and sitting in it. His eyes quickly darted towards you as you asked, "seriously? Why did you make that despite all the other things you could've made?"
"Well," he sighed before quickly sipping the last of the drink, "no reason, really. My father was shocked too, actually. I was just remembering him. That's why I was feeling nostalgic."
"Oh," you replied, realizing you might've made him remember a painful memory. "Sorry about that."
"No, you don't have to say sorry," Diluc quickly exclaimed, "you didn't intend to do absolutely anything wrong. After all, I like remembering the good memories about him." He then let out a large sigh. "I just still miss him..."
"I know," you said. You gave him a comforting smile before rubbing his hand softly.
"Thanks for the consideration though." Diluc lightly smiled back. "It means a lot."
"And thank you for being in my life," you responded.
Those words took Diluc’s breath away for the quickest of seconds. For once, he felt unable to respond properly or make some witty remark.
"I don't know what to say to that," Diluc stated as he got up out of his chair, causing you to step back. "But I do know that that bard needs help.” As he spoke, he pointed towards Venti, who was beginning to fall off the table by now, mumbling in his deep drunken slumber. “We should take him back to Dawn Winery."
You nodded your head and laughed as Diluc and you walked back to Venti's sleeping figure. He helped you lift him up and wrapped Venti's arms around both of your shoulders before you two managed to drag the bard out of the tavern.
"By the way," Diluc began, causing you to stop walking as he gazed at you thoughtfully. "If there's anyone to thank for being in my life, it's you. I've never met anyone as kind and caring as you before, so I truly thank you for that. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me."

Synopsis: Diluc thinks about the unknown god possessing everyone. Genre: General Notes: May be a little OOC, Venti and Kaeya present but are not the focus
Tumblr media
One starry night graces the world of Teyvat, the lights in the sky twinkling ever so bright as the constellations of the lucky shine above. They are omens, that those under the constellation may soon be blessed with the guiding hand of the One Who Sees All. They have many names, the Guide, the Observer… One Diluc Ragvindr finds the title of “Controller” to be more apt.
What else could he use to describe how his brother’s body suddenly stiffened, his movements robotic yet erratic as the Darknight Hero observed the Controller at work. He will admit, Kaeya had noticeably gotten stronger. On the days where the Controller was gone, Diluc made an effort to discuss his concerns with Kaeya.
“Oh, are you jealous?” Was not the response the Ragvindr heir expected to hear. Yet sitting across him, Kaeya simply smirked.
“No, but you have to admit, this… Unknown god possessing vision-holders is a cause for concern, is it not?” Said Diluc with a frown. “Why do you act so calm about it?”
“I will not lie, it was a shock the first time the Custodian first took hold of me,” Kaeya replied, sipping his glass of wine. “But then I felt myself getting stronger, and they have given me their blessing.”
“And just what are these… blessings?”
In response, Kaeya simply took out a strange flower with an icy aura to it, gems glittering under the light of the tavern. Diluc’s eyes widen.
“I’m sure you know what this is, hmm? The Custodian made sure I had the best trinkets. If I didn’t know any better, I would have assumed they were trying to flirt with me.” Kaeya chuckled.
Diluc’s frown deepened, crossing his arms as he looked at the flower, scrutinizing it as if it will suddenly grow into a whopperflower. “Still, I’m not entirely sure you should trust it. The machinations of the divine are something we should not get too tangled up in.”
Kaeya would squint his eye at Diluc, though his smirk is still present. “Why? Are you upset they haven’t chosen you?”
Diluc huffs. “Why would I want to be the puppet for a god? I have too many responsibilities to keep track off, and I will not allow some entity ruin that for me.”
The cryo holder laughs, drinking his wine. “Your loss, brother.”
It’s been far too long since Teyvat has felt the Controller’s presence. The Traveler had since moved onto Sumeru in their quest for their missing sibling, all without the help of the unknown god that had first controlled them. Diluc can only sigh in relief, thankful that it had vanished.
And yet…
Diluc couldn’t help but ponder his conversation with Kaeya as he wipes down a glass. He hadn’t found any answers about the unknown god from any of his sources, meaning they weren’t part of Teyvat’s pantheon of gods and goddesses. He concluded that it was something much greater.
He shuddered to think what would happen if it had started blessing their enemies instead of their allies. The vessels of the Controller, though few, had noticeable rise in their power when their constellations shined bright. That maid, Noelle, really showed off the effect the Controller had on her. She was wielding heavier weapons than the greatsword she started with, and Diluc had to wonder why Jean hadn’t snapped up the geo holder yet.
It was then did his vision shine brightly Diluc’s train of thought stopped. Venti, the drunken bard, gleefully brandished his harp and began to sing. “The Beholder returns! Rejoice, for their gaze blesses Teyvat once more!”
Well, this complicates things… But still, Diluc was certain there was nothing he could do about it.
Then his vision glowed even brighter.
Suddenly, Diluc found himself in a red, starry expanse. He summoned his claymore, quickly looking around for anything-
“...Oh! Hold on-“
Gold filled his sight as a warmth enveloped his soul, staring up above as a hand reached towards him.
He was filled with a strange sense of joy, and he saw it. His constellation, it shined brighter than ever in the red, star-filled sky.
And then Diluc blinked. He was back in the tavern, and his patrons were looking at him with awe. Venti grins and rushes up to him.
“Well, I couldn’t believe my eyes! It seems the Beholder has chosen Diluc to be their vessel upon return!”
The tavern turns lively, hollers and claps fills the air as Diluc stares at his vision, and the sudden trinkets that drop on the counter. They didn’t feel as powerful as Kaeya’s, but he gets the sense that he’ll be getting something better at some point.
A gentle voice whispers to him.
“Welcome home, Diluc.”
…Maybe this wouldn’t be so bad. Perhaps the Warden of Teyvat isn't as terrible as he thinks they are.
For now, he'll have to weather through the party raging in his tavern.

I crave more KUNIKUZUSHI ( PRE-FATUI ) + READER please
Like how would Ei and the other archons react to them
Maybe some sweet moments between them like the first time Kuni calls us mom or when we found him or getting him settled in to the house like shopping for clothes and things for his room together
And what about future aspects like the fatui and traveler how would those differ from the original story line
❝ ANSWERS I ; KUNIMITSU-AU ❞
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
- Kunimitsu-AU is from my previous post where Reader basically adopts Kunikuzushi(Scaramouche), so none of the betrayal shit happened.
WARNING; THIS WILL CONTAIN MAJOR SPOILERS FOR THE INAZUMA AND SUMERU ARCHON QUESTS
That aside, let's get down to answering! ( some are going to be in a separate post )
Tumblr media
◆ THE ARCHONS ; ABOUT (NAME) + KUNI
Our dear Electro Archon, Ei, didn't even know about it until she decided to get out of her plane of Euthymia because of the Traveller. Once she was informed, she find it hard to believe considering this was (Name) they were talking about. Plus, they uh... They don't really get along that well.
ABOUT (NAME);
"It's unsettling to know she resides somewhere here in Inazuma.. She always liked making things quite difficult for me, especially in the past. Though, worry not, I am able to see through her and her words thanks to Miko"
Ah, seems like she doesn't want to go into further detail.
ABOUT KUNIMITSU/KUNIKUZUSHI II;
"Kunimitsu..? Ah, I see.. I'm glad he's doing alright.. Really? But how did she—? I'm a bit surprised that she was capable of understanding how he works.. In the emotional sense. He seems to be doing quite alright .. Traveller, can I ask you to do me a small favor?"
The favor was simply to keep an eye out for the woman and for the prototype-puppet.
-
Oh, but what about the God of Freedom himself? Barbatos- who calls himself Venti had known since the day (Name) came to Mondstadt with Kuni for the Windblume Festival. And oh my, was he surprised and amused by the fact it was Ei's puppet that was with her.
ABOUT (NAME):
"Ohoho~! I didn't expect you to know her. I wonder what disguise did she choose for herself this time?.. That aside! She's still the same neutral I know, just less chaotic unlike a few thousand years ago- what? Of course she's immortal. How else would she be able to look that young after raising Kunimitsu?"
Unlike Ei, it seems like these two are on good terms.
ABOUT KUNIMITSU ;
"My bitter-loving 'nephew'.. Back then, I used to teach him how to play the flute. There was also the time I tried introducing him to some of the wine here but his mother wouldn't let me.. Did I forget to mention he's a mama's boy? Much like her, he sometimes comes by to 'gossip' about certain things happening. Take a pair of lovers from the Shrine for example, I've heard—"
Well, they seem pretty close too (surprisingly).
-
For the God of Contracts, this was something he and Ei can agree with. Zhongli wasn't as surprised but it was definitely something he did not expect from the woman to do. In all honesty, he thought she was just going to use it as some way to cause chaos. ( Thank the stars that didn't happen )
ABOUT (NAME) ;
"It has indeed been years since I've last spoken to her. It seems like she's a bit more self-controlled for these past hundred years.. She's welcome to visit Liyue as long as she doesn't do any of her absurd 'pranks'"
Such a talkative man, yet said very little about the woman.
ABOUT KUNIMITSU ;
"I've heard from Xiao that he was raised by (Name), correct? It's a relief that he didn't pick up any bad habits from her over the years.. at least for now."
Traveller and Paimon can only wonder what those habits are.
-
Now, Lesser Lord Kusanali had known this since the woman likes to keep her updated about the outside world. You could say she also sorta raised the dendro archon a bit as well. In fact, it was (Name)'s idea for her to help her nation from the shadows if others weren't pleased with her existence.
ABOUT (NAME) ;
"Before Sumeru had accepted me.. (Name) was one of the close companions I've had when I had first woken up. As chaotic as she seems to the other archons, much like a chameleon- It is in their nature to blend in, like how it's in her nature to switch when she wants to"
??? The Traveller and Paimon were still processing the analogy. They'll just take the first sentence as an answer.
ABOUT KUNIMITSU ;
"Kuni used to be my 'student' when he first received his vision. He wanted to surprise and impress (Name) at the time so he was very eager to learn as quick as he can, like cat wanting their owner's attention. It's a relief that he managed to avoid the dangerous path for his future... If he hadn't been found by her,.."
Strange, it seems like Sumeru's god is aware of something.
-
AS FOR HOW THIS WILL EFFECT THE STORY...
> Let's start off with the Tatarasuna incident. This was handled differently than the OG thanks to the Reader's existence and Kuni's awareness.
> Instead of Kuni's second betrayal, it was his first time having to learn to accept that some will sacrifice themselves for the greater good. ( The storyline where Niwa and an unknown swordsman entered the furnace instead while Kuni helped evacuate the others )
> Thanks to the Reader, he was able to cope with what happened without any misunderstandings. And as for the Doctor? This is how he figures out the Electro Archon had created a puppet, which made him want to figure out how to do it as well ( since he's aware he can't easily manipulate Kuni in this )
> As for the fall of the Raiden Gokuden, let's just say Dottore was the main cause. How? By creating a puppet ( with some help from Sandrone, although he refused to admit it ), and experimenting on it by causing the downfall of the clans.
> This puppet did however end up getting destroyed by Kuni right after he found out what happened.
> So don't worry about Kazuha and the Kamisato Siblings, they're fine.
> Though, the fall of the clans did cause them to stop still. Unless said otherwise by the remaining descendants of those clans in the present, who came to terms with it.
> Oh, but what about the Fatui? As of now, there's only 10 Fatui Harbingers. The Balladeer never existing in the first place.
> For the Delusion Factory incident, Columbina will replace Scaramouche. And by that, I mean the Traveller will end up 'meeting' her. ( Though, it was more like, hearing her** )
> The Traveller meets Kuni during his own story quest ( if y'all haven't met in the unreconciled stars event where he helps the Adventurer's guild ) that takes place after Ei's first story quest.
> As for the Reader, you'll meet her during Kuni's quest and is mentioned by Yae during the training part of the Inazuma Quest.
> This will also have a bit more impact when it comes to Signora's funeral. Where Dottore made the decision to take the Electro Gnosis and see if he could create a 'god' with it.
> Everything in the Sumeru Quest, excluding 3.3 had happened, except replace Scaramouche with a prototype puppet created by Dottore, and Dottore will be replaced with Webtoon!Dottore, who threw a tantrum in the end before making the deal with Kusanali / Nahida.
If there's a plot hole anywhere, feel free to point it out! I didn't exactly plan everything through since this was nothing but a thought at first

I know that it has been done a thousand times before, but 'meeting your favourite characters' sagau posts give me LIFE. i eat that shit up, i swear.
Contains - general yandere stuff, the archons really beefing with each other the whole time and just being awful, possessive behavior, one kinda suggestive comment, you being fed up with this bullshit and want to bash your face into a table, unrealistic travel time because fuck realism, me pretending nahida doesn't exist, you and ayato being both kinda awkward and nervous
"Are we there yet, Venti?"
The bard gave a carefree grin from where he sat, perched on the edge of the boat. The wind blew softly through his hair, which you had persuaded him to leave down that morning. Not that it took much persuading. All of your worshippers, but especially the Archons, were quick to take anything you said to heart and to do anything to vye for your attention. Leaving his hair down was probably the least extreme thing Venti had done in a while.
"Not yet, Your Grace. But it's not far off now. I can already feel the cherry blossoms on the winds from the east."
"Is there a reason you are so hasty to get to Inazuma, Divine One?"
The title alone told you who was speaking, but the voice was just as unmistakeable. Both belonging to another overeager worshipper.
You turned to see Zhongli, leaning against one of the many boxes that covered the Alcor, filled with anything and everything you could need while in Inazuma. His eyes flickered away from you for a moment, instead eyeing up Venti and the distance between the two of you. After he had caught the bard sitting on your lap and nearly restarted the Archon War, you had implemented a 3ft distance rule from you and all of your worshippers to keep the peace.
This was a rule that none of them took kindly to, especially the Archons, who had taken to strictly policing the rule, even going so far as to pull out measuring sticks, if only to force their competitors back even an inch. But Zhongli clearly found nothing to cause a fuss over and turned back to you with a raised eyebrow, waiting for you to answer his question.
"No, not particularly."
You hoped Ei would be better
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"I simply find it rather LACKING on your part, Morax, that you would think that 100 outfits would suffice Their Holiness in their stay at Inazuma. I am, however, more than willing to have more clothing PERSONALLY TAILORED to make up for your shortcomings."
"Is that so, Beelzebul? Well, the Divine One told me PERSONALLY, that they find constant outfit changes exhausting and large quantities of outfits UNNECESSARY AND WASTEFUL. Surely you are not suggesting that I tire out and upset our most dear Creator?"
You were one snarky comment away from bashing your face into the table. You had only been in Inazuma for hours at this point, but the moment you arrived, you were whisked to Inazuma City and forced to sit through Ei and Zhongli bitching passive-aggressively to each other.
You locked eyes with Venti, who gave you a sympathetic grin over his wine glass. Weeks ago, you would have returned the smile, glad to have someone normal in the mess to relate with, but you were smarter than that now. You knew any affection you showed, however minor, would be his ammunition in his next fight with the other Archons.
"Ei?"
The Electro Archon whipped her head around to look at you, the cold and disapproving glare she was wearing instantly softening under your gaze.
"Your Holiness? Is there something I can do to serve you?"
"I was simply wondering who will be at the welcoming ceremony tomorrow. Which of my other vessels, I mean."
Ei's soft expression tensed a little at the mention of your other vessels but she answered the question in a slightly annoyed tone.
"Sangonomiya Kokomi from Watatsumi Island, General Kujou, the Guuji of the Grand Narukami Shrine and the Kamisato siblings."
You fought not to sit up a little straighter at the mention of your favourite character, knowing any favouritism would be immediately picked up on.
"However," Ei continued. "I highly doubt you will spend much time with them. After all, there are so many other things I wish to do with you and so little time, it's best if you don't waste your precious hours on people ... unworthy of your affection."
There was a long pause as you stared at Ei, waiting for her to retract her statement, to apologise for speaking so lowly of some of your most beloved characters. But as the seconds passed, it became clear that apology will never come. She did not understand why there would even need to be one.
"I think I will retire for the night. Sleep well, all of you."
You stood up from the table, offering each of the Archons a nod and left the room, closing the door behind you quietly. Instantly, a barrage of insults and claims started up, poisoned words spewed by all parties. But you did not listen, nor did you leave to go to the lavish room Ei had provided for you for the duration of your stay. Instead, you quietly made your way to the door, with one fixed goal in mind. To meet your favourite character.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You watched as the guard's hands tightened around their spears at the sight of you, face cloaked, approaching them. You did not blame them. You were sure very few good things come from late night guests with hidden faces. But you trekked towards them slowly, pulling your hands out of your pockets to show your empty hands.
"What business do you have at the Kamisato Estate at this time of night?"
You wordlessly pulled back your hood, revealing your face to the two guards standing at the entrance of the place you had always dreamed of visiting. The guards froze at the sight of your face, seemingly unsure whether they should be bowing or kneeling or worshipping at your feet.
"Y-your Holiness, my apologies for my rudeness, I simply meant-"
"Is Ayato still awake?"
The guards paused again at your question.
"I believe so? He is making preparations for tomorrow's ceremony."
"May I see him?"
"O-of course, I will fetch him immediately. If Your Holiness would like to head inside out of the cold..."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You had never really taken notice of the inside of the Kamisato Estate before. You had always been too busy looking at Ayato during cutscenes to really focus on the decor. Although it wouldn't matter even if you did, because you were fairly certain the room you were in was not shown in gameplay. But even as you sat alone, with Ayato nowhere to be seen, he still infected your mind. Worries rippled through your mind as you wondered whether or not coming here was actually a good idea.
However the sharp, quick steps you could hear approaching told you that it was too late to back out. You turned as the door opened to reveal the person you had dreamed of meeting since you first stepped foot in Teyvat.
"Hello Ayato," you whispered, trying to contain your nerves.
His expression was slightly dazed, not the perfect smile you were used to seeing on his character model.
"Your Holiness, I sincerely apologise for my tardiness. I was unaware you were planning on visiting this late and was unprepared to accept visitors, especially one as important as you." Ayato dipped his head, refusing to meet your eyes as he sunk into a flawless bow.
"Such formality isn't necessary, Ayato. This isn't an official meeting, I simply wished to talk with you. Please, have a seat."
You cringed at how weird you sounded, offering Ayato a seat in his own home, but he either didn't notice or didn't care. He sat slowly on the chair across from you, almost as if he expected you to retract the statement and dismiss him. After he finally settled in and a beat of silence passed, he cleared his throat.
"What was it exactly that you wished to talk about, Your Holiness?"
"Tomorrow ... is obviously a very important day for both of us, with the welcoming ceremony and I had some things I wished to tell you there, but I think ... they might be better said in private and to stay between you and me."
"...Do you mean..." Ayato trailed off, with what looked like the tiniest hint of a blush on his cheeks.
"Sorry, that came out wrong!" You exclaimed, worried about your words being wrongly interpreted.
"I meant that lots of people will be there and you and I both have our parts to play and I have to speak to the right people for the right amount of time and I have to take care of the archons and make sure I don't say anything to upset them and if I do they could very well restart the Archon War and...I don't know what to do." you gasped out, the pressure of the whole situation finally hitting you as you vented what had been bottling up inside you for the past weeks.
"I'm sorry for dumping all that on you, I just-"
You trailed off as Ayato reached over and grabbed your hand. For the first time that night, his expression was not worried, not professional, not flustered, it was simply warm and gentle.
"It's okay. I understand."
You let out a soft, sad laugh at that as you entwined your fingers with his.
"Of course you understand. We're in the same situation, having to please people we don't really care about to keep the peace, simply because of the circumstances of our birth. That is why..."
You took a deep breath, then for the 3rd time this night, tried to say what you had been thinking.
"When I realised that I was going to be able to meet you, actually meet you in person, I made myself a promise that on the first time we met, I would tell you are my favourite. And with everything going on with the archons, I realised that would be impossible to do tomorrow. So I chose to visit you tonight and keep my promise to myself."
...
"Your favourite?"
You gave a soft nod, heart beating so fast you felt sure it would break.
"I ... Thank you. Truly."
The both of you sit there in comfortable silence, just indulging in each other's presence, for what felt like an eternity. You could almost fall asleep. But you were also painfully aware that your eternity couldn't last forever.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"I have to go now, Ayato. The archons will notice that I'm missing soon."
You both stand, finally letting go of each other's hands.
"Travel safely. I will see you tomorrow at the ceremony."
You make your way to the door and turn to face Ayato for the last time that night.
"Sleep well Ayato. And thank you for everything."
And as you leave the room, you know that this will not be the last time this happens, not be the last time you turn to Ayato for comfort, not be the last time you sneak out to meet him. So you turn and face tomorrow, with the knowledge that you will return tomorrow night.
I love Ayato so much I can't even 😭 I tried to get Ayato on his first banner, but just missed out and got his sister as a consolation prize. I did get him this time though! I won the 50/50 and brought him home 😊 I'm not a huge fan of this, it took a long time to write and was pretty draining, but I love my man so I pulled through

Wind God
Tumblr media
This is inspired by @heyheydidjaknow Good Wine story so it’s a yandere Venti x reader.
She helped me with the tense shifts and gave advice on how to make this sound more creative, as it was previously very stiff and written as if it were an essay. I’m not a writer, but I really wanted to give my own take on this plot.
The image above was created using artbreeder. I tried my best to make it look like the Decarabian Tower.

You woke up with a jolt, startled by the sound of thunder rumbling in the distance. You blinked a few times and sat up, feeling a surge of panic as you realized you had no idea where you were or how you got there. Looking around you noticed you were lying inside some kind of tower surrounded by swirling air currents where huge rocks made up the area, and a semi-transparent platform with a strange teal seal engraved on it was underneath.
You scrambled to your feet, feeling dizzy and disoriented. The platform resembled glass and you felt as if it would shatter if you stayed on it any longer.
‘’Oh!’’ Someone spoke, breaking the silence. ‘’You’re awake. Are you okay? I didn’t expect you to recover so soon.’’
You cast a glance at the person in front of you; their calm demeanor distinctly contrasted with your current state of panic.
‘’What’s going on? Where am I?’’ You asked. ‘’What am I doing here?’’
Venti didn’t answer right away; his gaze fixed on you as he took in your puzzled expression. His features softened, and after a brief pause, he reached out his hand towards you. ‘’Please, let me explain.’’
You hesitantly eyed his outstretched hand, unsure whether to stay where you were or approach him. Despite having someone familiar next to you, you were still on high alert.
After taking a deep breath to calm your nerves, you decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. You grasped his hand and sat next to him, keeping your distance.
‘’I should begin by saying that I mean no harm to you. You’re a person who has a heart of gold, and I cherish you deeply. Your presence in my life has been nothing but joy so far. You’re kind, compassionate, and selfless. You’re empathetic to others' feelings, and you were always there for those in need,’’ he paused. ‘’You were always there for me.’’
The wind around you two got calmer the more he poured his feelings into words.
‘’I wonder if you’ve ever noticed this. Perhaps my behavior made it obvious, but I’m not human,’’ he said, turning to face the other way while fidgeting with his cape. ‘’I am the Anemo Archon; I have taken the form of a human to talk to people. I know it’s difficult to understand, but in all my years of existence, I’ve never felt this way before.’’ Pausing, he bit his lip and looked at you. ‘’Despite my divine nature, I am capable of emotions just as humans are. In other words, I caught feelings for you, and I can’t bear the thought of living without you.’’
Venti scooted closer to you and placed his hand on yours. ‘’There hasn’t been a single day when I haven’t thought of you.’’ His eyes showed that familiar sparkle that you had seen many times before. ‘’Do you remember that time at the cathedral trying to avoid Barbara by hiding behind the pillars? Or when I asked you to meet me at Windrise for a walk? You ran to hug me and we ended up tripping and falling into the pond.’’ He let out a laugh. ‘’We walked all the way to Starsnatch Cliff in our wet clothes just to look at the stars.’’ He looked at you, trying to meet your eyes. ‘’I’m grateful I got to meet and spend my time with such a wonderful person like you, YN.’’
You tried to process his words, but the weight of his confession was overwhelming.
‘’And you brought me here to tell me all of this?’’
He let out a deep sigh. ‘’I… I hope that at some point in your life you’ll end up feeling the same way about me, how I feel about you.’’ He extended his hand to caress your cheek. ‘’And with you here, I won’t have to worry about anybody else taking you away from me.’’ He continued. ‘’I am well aware that my actions are selfish—they even go against my very own principles. However… I couldn’t help but act upon them.’’ He looked at you. ‘’Tell me, YN, is it unethical for a God to have romantic feelings for a mortal?’’
You quickly stood up. You scanned your surroundings more carefully now that you were fully awake, but this place looked unlike anything you had ever seen before.
‘’Where are we?’’ You asked, your tone firm.
Venti tried to remain calm, lest you do something drastic.
‘’We’re in Old Mondstadt. Specifically, on the Decarabian Tower.’’ He answered, trying not to appear bothered by your constant pacing around the seal. ‘’I thought this would be the perfect place to have this conversation without anybody bothering us. Plus, the view up here is amazing, don’t you think?’’ He cast a glance at you, but judging by your expression, his attempt to lighten up the mood did not work.
You turned away from him and hugged yourself tightly, trying to alleviate the anxiety that had been building up inside you.
Venti stood up from the floor, his movements gentle and deliberate. He approached you from behind and wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you closer to his chest. He nuzzled his face into the crook of your neck, making you shiver. ‘’I’m sorry.’’ He muttered. ‘’I would never have wished to make you feel this way.’’
You stood frozen, feeling a lump in your throat, unable to answer. Soon, tears stream down your face and fall on his sleeve, soaking it. He turned you around, placed his hand on the back of your head, and hugged you tighter before saying in a low voice, ‘’I love you, YN. I will do everything I can to make this work, to make you happy.’’ He promised. ‘’I swear on my own life I’ll do anything for you.’’
The tears continued to flow as you struggled to maintain your composure. You couldn’t understand why the remaining years of your short life had been ripped away so cruelly.
Venti stepped back, withdrawing himself from you. ‘’I’ve got to take care of some things; one of them is bringing your stuff here. I won’t be long; please wait for me.’’ He took your hand in his and squeezed it before he snapped his fingers. You felt a gust of wind that made you close your eyes instinctively, and after you opened them, he was gone, leaving tiny feathers behind.
‘’Fuck.’’ You cursed under your breath in frustration as you wiped your tears.
-
Looking around the tower, you noticed there wasn’t just one wind barrier surrounding it but several of varying sizes that seemed to have space between them. You still had the wind glider with you, which gave you an idea; perhaps you could use it to escape the tower. After you got it out, you grabbed onto one of the tower’s pillars and looked down. There didn’t appear to be a bottom to this tower; regardless, if you were to fall, you definitely would not survive this.
With all your courage, you ran and tried to glide through between two wind barriers, but you immediately panicked as the wind glider was violently shaken. After several minutes of battle and when you felt the exhaustion take over your body, somehow, you finally ended up on the other side of the barrier. When you landed on one of the ruins, you saw just how damaged the surroundings were. It looked like an abandoned village but on a larger scale. With the wind glider still behind your back, you carefully descended even further. Once down, you frantically looked around for a way out.
The crumbling remnants lay spread across the landscape, a haunting reminder of a past era. Nature had begun to reclaim what was once grand and imposing, as vines made their way through cracks in the weathered stones. The overgrown foliage scratched at your skin, and the fallen debris threatened to trip you up with every step you took.
You noticed a path that led out of the ruins and follow it without hesitation, hoping it will bring you to freedom. As you moved through the crumbling structures, the air became heavy with an eerie silence. The vibrant sounds of life were absent and replaced by the faint rustling of leaves and the echo of your footsteps, amplifying the feeling of solitude and isolation.
Just as you were becoming accustomed to the silence, a crack of thunder rang out once again. Startled, you continued along the path, but were soon confronted by a ruin guard.
Quickly hiding behind a fallen pillar, you peeked out and saw it walk past you. It seemed to be unaware of your presence, its footsteps fading into the distance. You tried to steady your breathing and calm your racing heart as you used this time to look around for a way out. Luckily, you spotted a cave that was situated very high up. The foliage on the boulders could be used to climb up to it.
You thought you were safe as you darted from one ruin to another, but the ruin guard locked on to you. You heard a loud and ominous beeping before the machine fired missiles at you, leaving you no chance of survival.
Feeling a strong gust of wind surround you, you are met with Venti’s form materializing between you and the machine. He was preventing the projectiles from reaching you both by creating a wind barrier. They eventually exploded on the barrier, dispersing debris and dust around. Your heart pounded in your chest as you realized the danger you narrowly avoided.
You saw him move his hand in a slashing motion, successfully splitting the ruin guard in two like it was butter with the help of the wind.
He turned around to face you, his expression a mixture of concern and frustration. ‘’How did you get down here? What were you thinking? I told you to wait for me!’’ Venti tried very hard to maintain his composure, but he ended up yelling at you. ‘’I could have lost you!’’ You felt his arms wrap tightly around you, his grip almost desperate.
You pushed him away and shouted, your voice filled with anger. ‘’What was I thinking? What were you thinking when you brought me here? Trapping me against my will, isolating me from the rest of the world? Do you think I will show gratitude for saving me right now?’’
Thunder rumbles yet again, and the rain begins to pour heavily, drenching the desolate ruins. You backed away and ran towards the boulders beneath the cave, but another wind barrier stopped you.
‘’Let me take you back.’’ He spoke.
You simply walked around the barrier and approached the foliage on the boulders as you attempted to climb up, but were pushed back by the wind. Rage welled up inside you as you realized that escape was futile. How does one escape from a God?
As you struggle to get up to your feet, the rain continues to fall, soaking the ground beneath you. Despite the powerful winds summoned by the Anemo Archon to impede your escape, your determination remains unshaken. You lock eyes with him, a mix of defiance and resilience in your gaze.
‘’YN…’’ Venti’s voice is pleading. He moved closer and reached out a hand to help you up, but you moved away from him while you were still on the ground, supporting your body on your elbows.
‘’I won’t let you take me back,’’ you stated firmly. ‘’I won’t be confined by you. This is not the life I desire or deserve.’’
The wind howls around you, mirroring Venti’s internal conflict. His gaze pleads for you to give in. Seeing as you are not up for negotiation, he withdraws his hand with a heavy sigh and takes a step forward.
As you pushed yourself up from the ground, you immediately took off running in a different direction. However, he quickly caught up with you and now stood in front of you, which caused you to trip and fall backward.
‘’Let’s go back, please? It’s raining a lot. You will end up catching a cold.’’ He attempted to lift you by grabbing your hand, but you pushed him away.
‘’I fucking hate you!’’ You screamed. You tried to make sense of your surroundings, as they now appeared blurry. ‘’We were friends; we had a good relationship. Why did you have to ruin it?’’ A shuddering filled your chest, and a choked wheeze escaped your throat. ‘’Why? Why did you do this? You want me to love you back? What cost you to try and build that sort of relationship with me the normal way?’’ While you yelled, you caught sight of a stone that looked like an arrowhead lay on the ground.
He tried to approach you once more, and without thinking, you grabbed the stone and stabbed him in the shoulder with as much force as you could. Venti breathed in sharply and stumbled a couple of steps back as the arrowhead pierced his shoulder.
‘’Do not approach me.’’ You spat.
He pulled on the protruding part of the arrowhead and got it out, causing some blood to spill onto the ground.
You tried to move away from him with your elbows as you were still on the ground. They started to bruise, and your arms eventually gave out, which caused your body to fall on your back. You felt completely exhausted.
As you lifted your head, you noticed Venti come closer to you while he held his wounded shoulder. Your vision became too blurry at this point. You quickly became lightheaded and passed out.
-
You opened your eyes, feeling a dull ache in your head. You grunted as you lifted your arm and placed it on your head. You tried to lift yourself by propping yourself on your elbows, but felt someone ease you back onto the pillow and kiss your forehead.
‘’You shouldn’t get up so quickly. You’ll pass out again.’’ Venti insisted.
‘’What are you doing?’’ You asked, your voice hoarse from screaming earlier.
He went back to the end of the bed and carefully wrapped the bandage around your knee, then cut the excess with scissors. ‘’Taking care of your injuries.’’
Disregarding his advice, you lift yourself and sit up. You reach out to your knee and feel the bandage around it. As you do so, you also notice your bandaged elbows. ‘’Why? I tried to—‘’ The room spun around you, your head felt heavy and your vision went fuzzy for a few seconds, almost pushing you to the side if it weren’t for Venti catching you right away.
‘’What did I tell you? You’re not listening to me.’’
You gripped his shirt while trying to sit up straight to regain your balance. ‘’I tried to kill you.’’ You finally said.
‘’So you did.’’
‘’Then why are you helping me?’’
He laid you down for a moment, took a glass from the table beside the bed and poured water into it from a jar before he helped you up again and handed it to you. ‘’Isn’t it obvious? Loving someone implies caring for them.’’
As you drank the water, you looked at his bloody shirt. He noticed your attention fixed on his shoulder. ‘’It’s fine. Injuring me with such a lame weapon has barely any impact on my vessel.’’ He furrowed his eyebrows. ‘’That said, I hope you’ll refrain from trying anything like that again in the future.’’
‘’I can’t promise anything.’’
Venti sighed and then looked at your bandaged knee, elbows, and the Band-Aid on your cheek, nodded in approval and stood up, taking with him the first aid kit that he had brought to patch you up.
‘’Where are we this time?’’ You asked him, placing the empty glass on the table.
‘’We are in a house that’s in a realm separated from the outside world. Things like time and weather work a little differently here.’’ He put the bandages and scissors inside the box and continued. ‘’It’s called the Serenitea Pot; I’m sure you heard of it. It was given to me a while ago by an old friend. I didn’t have a use for it before, but I certainly do now. ‘’He explained. ‘’I planned to bring you here anyway, but I thought it would be best to begin our conversation where we first started to explain who I was. I figured it would help you connect the dots faster.’’
You got up from the bed and looked around. It was a small bedroom with a twin bed and two nightstands on either side. There were two windows, one behind the bedpost and another next to it. A rectangular desk with a potted plant, candles, and books on top was beneath the second window. The bed and desk were separated by a yellow changing screen, creating an illusion of two distinct room sections. You also spotted a fancy ottoman at the foot of the bed, a wardrobe a few steps away, and the exit door next to it.
‘’This place is safe. You are free to roam around the house and even go outside. I took the time to decorate it in a way that I thought you would like. ‘’Venti’s speech caught you off guard, making you jump. ‘’You can’t leave this realm without my assistance. It has everything you need. I will bring more things from the outside world for decoration as time goes on.’’ He smiled at you.
You walked up to the window and leaned against the desk beneath it. It looked like you were located on an island, and the house seemed to be on a small hill.
‘’I’ll go change and then prepare you some food.’’ He gestured to the door. ‘’It’s been a while since you last ate anything. You can use the shower after eating. There’s one on this floor, right in front of your room, or you could use the one in mine that’s upstairs.’’ He winked at you.
You reached for the vase.
‘’Alright, alright.’’ He held his hands up. ‘’Let’s not resort to violence again…’’
He then exited the room, giving you some peace a quiet. You took a deep breath and gathered your thoughts before you returned your gaze to the room. You couldn’t deny that Venti put effort into making a comfortable space for you, but you weren’t happy about being imprisoned here.
You walked over to the wardrobe and opened it to find a variety of clothes arranged inside. They were all your clothes, neatly folded and hung.
After a brief inspection of the wardrobe, you then crossed the room to the desk beneath the window. The books that adorned its surface drew your attention. You took one book and flipped through its pages, discovering that it was a collection of short stories by various authors. It was a wise choice on Venti’s part to provide you with intellectual stimulation and entertainment.
Next, you decided to go outside after a few moments of exploration and stepped out of the exit door onto a stone pathway that led down the hill. It was surrounded by lush vegetation and vibrant flowers. The hill was full of cedar and birch trees that filtered the sunlight through the leaves, casting a glow around the entire area. One would say this could be the place of your dreams, and you would have been content with staying here if it wasn’t for the situation you were in.
You deviated from the pathway to go lower down the hill and reached the sea surrounding the island. The view was breathtaking, with crystal clear water stretching out as far as the eye could see. There was no sign of other land, so there was no way for you to leave. Not that it would matter anyway, considering you were separated from the outside world.

Kaeya doesn’t always head to the taverns at night in order to indulge himself in alcohol. In fact, the bar is more of a social thing for him than it is a drinking thing itself. He goes to sit and chat with Rosaria, —to listen as she gossips and complains about the “uptight” lifestyle she’s forced to portray herself as living during the day. Sometimes, she even lends Kaeya an ear to complain about the more boring aspects of his job: paperwork, small cleanups, and otherwise uneventful happenings that he wouldn’t want to bore anyone else with.
He goes to sit before Diluc, ordering drinks from the young man he was once closer to than anyone else. Even now, a part of Kaeya wonders if that’s still true. After all, it’s no secret that Diluc has largely caged himself away from the rest of the city. The redhead has crawled inside himself, his walls are high, and chances are that Kaeya still knows him better than he knows himself sometimes. Even so, the gap between them is undeniable now, as much as Kaeya likes to sit and joke in the Angel’s Share as Diluc blankly mixes drinks behind the counter. They aren’t the boys they used to be, and sometimes, Kaeya wants to forget about that; so he goes and he sits at the bar. He orders drinks and makes snide comments, and tries to rile Diluc up (to no avail.) It’s like putting a bandage over a surgical wound, —but Diluc is the closest thing Kaeya has to family, and even if it means forcing the bond, he won’t let the elder male slip away completely.
Venti also frequents the taverns, playing drunken tunes and singing less than sober melodies as he throws back dandelion wine with reckless abandon. Sometimes, Kaeya just sits there, watching as the boy who looks far too young to even be drinking in the first place knocks back drink after drink, as if his very life is dependent on how much he can guzzle down in a single night. Where Venti is over-indulgent in every sense of the word; Kaeya is surprisingly tame. At least, for the most part, anyway. . .
Though he’s been known to get plastered from time to time, those nights are few and far between, especially as he’s taken on more responsibilities as the Cavalry Captain and has gotten older, and at least somewhat wiser.
It sounds bad, even when he thinks it only to himself, —but there are times when Kaeya watches Venti and thanks his lucky star he’s not standing in the lowly bard’s shoes. The drunken smile he wears never seems to reach his eyes, and though he grins and dances about, the bitter truth hidden just beneath the surface is that Venti isn’t happy at all. And Kaeya knows that, if only passively.
But Kaeya, —he is happy.
At least, he’s pretty certain that he’s happy, anyway.
He’s got Diluc, although their relationship is marred with guilt and unspoken truths. He’s got a stable job, although it takes quite a bit out of him sometimes and even plays into the bitter parts of his personality from time to time. He doesn’t go hungry unless he does it to himself, forgetting to eat amongst a day’s work, he has a nice, warm bed to sleep in each night, —and Kaeya is loved, valued, and respected by many of Mondstadt’s citizens and visitors alike.
Ah, and lest he forget: he has you.
“Would you like some?” He offers, tilting the bottle of wine grasped tightly in his fist by the neck from side to side.
You can hear the liquid inside slosh about.
“Uh,” you hesitate, but only for a moment, “—sure, why not? It couldn’t hurt.”
Kaeya nods, quickly pouring you a small glass. You don’t often drink with him for a plethora of reasons, but when he drinks at home, he tends to sip slower and savor the flavor more. While his tolerance for alcohol has become quite high over the years, yours pales in comparison. You can hold it down well enough, but your limit is much lower than his own, and the terrain with Kaeya is easier to navigate when you’re not woozy and hazed out.
As the rim of the glass ghosts against your lips, you take a tiny drink before placing it down on the table. Your lover’s sip is longer, taking in more at once, then quickly going in for another.
“I was surprised you said yes,” he admits. “You usually don’t take up my offers to drink together.”
“I say yes sometimes,” you give him a coy smile, “—like tonight.”
He returns your expression with an amused smirk. Kaeya really is a handsome man, and everything about him screams it. From the way his wrist swivels ever so gently with his glass resting along his palm and in between his long, lithe fingers, to the way he charmingly tilts his head a little and raises his eyebrows in soft, barely-there non verbals.
“I’m glad,” he admits, almosting sighing the words in relief.
“Oh?” Falls from your lips curiously before you have the chance to filter it.
He hums in acknowledgement, taking another sip of wine.
“I’ve been feeling a little sentimental today,” Kaeya tells you, “and I was hoping someone could lend me an ear for a bit. Preferably you.”
“You could have just said that from the start,” you reply, reaching across the wooden table to play with his free hand’s fingers absentmindedly. “I’d have listened whether you poured me a drink or not.”
Of course, Kaeya already knew that much. Even so, he’s always found that alcohol helps him to open himself up to others a bit more, and while the health level of that particular aspect is at least somewhat dubious, he’s yet to find a solid replacement. Thus, he has wine, and is now slightly more prepared to have this conversation; whatever it is to become.
“What’s on your mind, Kaeya?”
He’s so glad you asked.
“Well, the truth is that I've been thinking a lot recently,” he says.
When he doesn’t continue, you speak up again to encourage him to go on.
“About?”
“Ah, well. . . Lots of things,” he notes. “You, more often than not.”
Your heart skips a little beat at his admission. Loving Kaeya is no easy task, but it’s worth it. It’s always been worth it, as it were.
“Good things, I’m hoping?” You joke.
It lands just right with your lover, and his one visible eye all but glimmers like Noctilucous Jade in dazzling moonlight as a small smile plays on his kissable lips.
“Great things,” he says playfully. “Even right now, it’s moments like these that make me stop to think that I’m not really sure I deserve any of this.”
That takes you aback, —but only slightly. Although Kaeya is very good at masking his feelings, stuffing all of his insecurities and worries down in lieu of that cocky, confident facade he shows the world, you’ve come to understand the young knight on a deeper level. The surface is one thing, but Kaeya holds sentiments and emotions deep enough to drown in. And sometimes he does just that.
You suppose tonight is one of those nights.
“When I sit in front of you like this, I think about all the nights I’ve left you waiting up for me, and all the times when I asked for a raincheck on a date that never happened at all. I think about all the promises I’ve broken that I’ve probably never apologized for, and all the times I’ve broken your heart just for you to trust me with it again.”
That. . . Was a sharp turn.
You bring the wine glass to your lips again, taking a slow, savoring taste of the bitter liquid inside. Kaeya watches tentatively as you swallow, as your lips form to the rim and then release it so delicately.
“Did you mean to?” You question calmly.
His brows furrowed together in confusion.
“Did I mean to what?” He asks in return.
“Leave me waiting up. Miss a few dates out of the dozens we’ve had by now. Forget to say I’m sorry when you’re trying to make things better another way, —break my heart a few times over the years as if that isn’t almost inevitable with something like this. Did you do it on purpose?”
“No,” Kaeya shakes his head, “of course not.”
“Well, then that’s that,” you shrug. “I won’t tell you to stop sulking about this if it’s something you need to do for the night, —but don’t forget that I’m not here with you because I need you. I’m here because I want to be. And I want that because I love you, and you might not be perfect, but I’m not either, and if you’re keen on taking some advice from me tonight, I think you should stop holding yourself to a standard you wouldn’t even hold me to.”
He pauses, as if taking the time to let your words sink in, before he starts laughing. It comes straight from his chest, the one you rest your head on at night as his arms snake around you to hold you close to him.
“I love you too,” Kaeya confirms through a snicker, “so much.”
“I know,” you reassure him softly.
Somehow, that little conversation was really all it took to ease him down. It’s easy to forget that even people like Kaeya, who are so seemingly confident and self-assured, can feel inadequate at times and beat themselves up for every little mistake they’ve ever made.
If being with him has taught you anything at all, it’s that soulmates aren’t just destined by the stars that hang brightly in the sky above. Soulmates are maintained, like flowers in a garden that have to be tended to and given the proper conditions to not only survive, —but to thrive. Love isn’t a one-way street, or even a two-way street. It’s a network of roads that intersect and branch off. Sometimes there’s dead ends or rocky stretches of land, but the truth remains with each step you take in any direction: Kaeya loves you, and you love him. And if it’s not written in the stars, then you’ll just have to carve it right into the core of Teyvat itself.
