why did tim dismiss his suspicions on dr connor like that in chapter 12 ?

this is a REALLY good question so I started yapping!! spoilers for Red Robin and for LoF under the cut :3

for those not familiar with Batfam Lore (which is perfectly alright!!), Bruce went missing in "the timestream" last year (in LoF). He was believed to be dead and during that time, Tim was the only Bat that believed he was alive. (this is a very nuanced subject because everyone's perspective during that time isn't inherently wrong.) Tim was not believed and it caused a huge fight between Tim and Dick, mostly because Dick gave the mantle of Robin to Damian and told Tim that he wanted to "be his equal"

in my opinion, Dick had a good sentiment but with the wrong timing and handling of it. Tim doesn't do "equals" very well, and he was mourning the man he considers his father, at the time. he thought that Dick and he were going to be Batman and Robin together, and the expectation was thrown away. Then, when Tim suggested that Bruce was still alive, Dick became very worried that Tim was going off the deep end. Which is also a valid concern because Tim was isolating himself from everyone at that time. Steph had faked her death and not told Tim, Kon and Bart had both died. He was NOT doing so well.

That's why he had the fight with Dick and he left Gotham. He went across the world, searching for evidence that Bruce was alive in the timestream. Tim has a tendency to keep things close to his chest (tendency is a loose term, because at his core, this is what Tim is) and from what I can tell, this incident did not fix things.

In LoF (because here, we care about character development), when Bruce came back, the dynamic shifted in the family. Everything was different, Tim wasn't his Robin anymore, he didn't get to see Damian grow into a great Robin, Dick had to be Batman, etc. They have actually talked things out and the family is doing better than before, and have been in a long time. But Tim still keeps things to his chest.

Like how he discovered that Peter was from an alternate dimension. Tim admits in (chapter 9? I think? maybe chapter 10) that it wasn't because of Damian's smug attitude about figuring out he's Spider-Man, but mostly because he wanted to collect evidence and get his theory laid perfectly out. That way the others would believe him. Tim struggles with this even though he knows that his family is trying.

So when Peter says something that appears very contradictory (they have no reason to believe that Dr. Connors isn't Mysterio), Tim says that he believes him. Even if Tim is doubtful and will be creating contingency plans and theories about Dr. Connors anyway, he chooses to believe Peter. He saw that it was distressing Peter and wanted him to know they were on his side. So even if Peter turns out to be wrong about Dr. Connors, he had someone in his corner

Watching Reactions to The Eclipse is Such a Gamble

Ya'll know this, I've said it multiple times now, but I love to watch reactions to my favorite shows. One of these shows is The Eclipse. But, I swear it's always a gamble watching someone react to it. Fair warning: I hate Thua, so... yeah, this will be biased. These are some trends I've noticed (& they kinda build on each other):

Sometimes, they don't like Akk, even as the show goes on, and he's my favorite so that always sucks.

Sometimes, they don't ever fully understand the manipulation Akk was under. Like, they constantly make comments about Akk's character development regressing or stuff like that. Idk how, but some people just never pick up on the amount of pressure Akk was under, and it's sad.

Sometimes, they don't understand the mental health parts of the show. Like how Ayan was only "protecting" Akk for so long bc he was literally in the worst mental state. Ayan saw the same signs in Akk that he saw in Dika, and he was terrified their stories would end the same way. Ayan still wanted the truth to come out, he was just trying to find a safer way for Akk! He was not just protecting Akk because they were dating, either! Idk how people come to these conclusions... oh wait, yes I do, it's bc of Thua >:(

Sometimes, when that one scene of episode 11 goes down, they completely side with Thua. Now, this could be because they don't realize the outing part of things, or because they don't realize why Thua went about things the complete wrong way. But, it's annoying nonetheless.

Sometimes, they completely change their tune about Teacher Chadok. I don't care about his tragic backstory! He manipulated a kid so much he considered unaliving himself, and you're telling me that just because he has a tragic gay backstory, he deserves to be forgiven??? Absolutely not!

And I'll stop here. I could say more but I think it's already too much 😂

jay is really a special case as a character for me. Cole and Zane are my favorite characters, Cole is the one I can relate the most, and Jay in the last seasons is the character I can't stand the least, AND YET, he's the character I have the most content for, the one I have the most headcanon for, the that I have drawn and written about a hundred times, like, help, it is the worst love-hate relationship there is, yes, they have flanderized him, yes they have made him dirty, but I also went crazy when he came out in a suit and I can talk for hours about his character and potential-

Late Langa birthday art!!! I think this is the first time I’ve made a finished drawing of him that actually looks like him lmao

anyway i love birds and i love it when artists give characters wings, so i thought id do my due diligence and give wings to the Sk8 boys!! I’m thinking of doing a knew one on all of their birthdays :D Anyways Langa is a Canada Jay because of course he is why wouldn’t he be? It’s actually perfect for him. Canada Jays are very curious, and are big eaters who will eat a wide variety of foods, from seeds to literal small animals. and they hoard food (with their saliva sticking it to trees what), likely to store for winter when they would have a harder time finding it! Like cmon it was too perfect they even have his color scheme of black and white!

The fact I honestly thought I'd pull off playing College Craze and being normal about it, and then less than a week later I've already played it multiple times, made a duel MC au, a Pinterest board, and recreated some of the PopMe pages, is genuinely not lost on me.

First up in my Dragonic Weapons AU: Jay!

Smallest of ninja, at a staggering 5’4”.

Has the most flexible and most aerodynamic tail of all the ninja. Wings are also the best for speed and long distance flights!

Electricity is constantly running through his dragon wings and tail. Think one of those balls that when you touch it your hair stands!

He has heterochromia, with one brown and one blue eye. He used to have two brown eyes until he unlocked his true potential. After Skybound, he became blind in his left eye.

VERY long wingspan. He is a tiny man with large wings. Perfect to hide himself in when anxious, scared, or embarrassed!

Can produce lightning from his wings and tail. The lightning like spikes on his tail are made up entirely of electricity and can disappear at will.

His eyes only tune solid blue when he is in his pure elemental form. Otherwise, they stay the heterochromic pair on the left.

Absolutely loves that he can fly now. Adores soaring through the clouds and flying through lightning storms.

BitB: Rand. Hands down. I DONT EVEN KNOW WHY. He’s just OUGH he entered my brain and decided that he’s gonna stay around for a whILE. And as much as I love Kian, I just- idk I’m sad about the way he was played idk

Apotheosis: Rumi 5000000% bro nonbinary rep? That falls in love with a little silly guys who only knows how to talk about rocks and lizards? Yes.

Fated: Bra’ad my precious baby boy. I cry over him dude I love him I miss him he deserves the entire earth I could write essays about him and be sobbing by the end of all of them

Convergence: Alastyr. If I could I would have picked strangle but alas he’s an npc. Honestly I remember jack shit abt convergence and should give it a relisten but yeah
