I am President of Gallifrey

Day 1

“I am President of Gallifrey,” Romana smoothed her wrinkled and dusty robes and stared down the dalek’s gun. “Exterminate me at your own peril, because once the Time Lords find you they will leave only a crater where you stood.”

She almost stumbled over the last word, distracted for a moment by the fact that daleks didn’t really stand, exactly. But she was used to pushing away distracting thoughts, and the sentence ended up every bit as regal as she had intended. The delegates from the other powers, who had come to bargain about minerals, seemed happy enough to huddle behind her as she did the talking, put off their extermination a little longer…

Not that she had any control over that, and it was frankly odd that they weren’t all dead yet. Romana decided to push her luck. She took a firm step forward. “What do you want with this moon?”

She saw the blow coming from the ogron to her left. She raised her hand to block it. But there was only so much she could do unarmed, and they’d even taken her metal mantles away.

Day 3

“I am President of Gallifrey,” Romana did her best to sneer at the dalek looming into her field of vision. This one was purple. “Do you think I’m not trained in psychic resistance—ah!”

Think of K-9. Picture his little antennae-tail twirling frantically as they searched for her. Not even searched—everyone knew where she was. They should have been here by now, actually. Maybe they were hovering in orbit now, debating whether it was worth the trouble to break through Dalek shields and fight in to rescue her, or if they should just bomb the whole place.

Most of her hoped they would bother to get her out.

THEN i shall post' or etc. etc. lol. NOT even taking into account the many days #I just genuinely and physically sick and it's not even a mental thing. I just physically dont feel like sitting at the computer lol..#ANYWAY.. trying to get back into it. trying to get a business bank account.. make a proper paypal so i can start selling sculptures again.#selling clothes and sculptures.. posting about such things then of course as one must. etc... chanting to hype up and motivate myself lol #But yes. this is my favorite outfit out of the bunch so I am posting it first I guess.. maybe others later..#Also the purple dress says its from shein. which I've heard is bad fast fashion stuff. but maybe okay since its second hand? #x 2022 #pearl #maxxxine #x series #strait-jacket #psycho #what ever happened to baby jane #horror #psycho-biddy #hagsploitation #made this whole big thing which i still might post eventually but. in terms of aesthetics. this abridged version is better lol #i'm not gonna finish the other post tonight but consider this a preview of sorts #i can't stop thinking about what if they leaned more into the 'hagsploitation' aspect of it all lol #i actually find it odd + off-putting that they start and end maxxxine with a bette davis reference #with a big significant psycho cameo at the bates motel itself #and there's not really any payoff for those allusions!!#i think if you're gonna try to tie into a legacy of older horror films you should do it in a sincere way #because that just felt like 'elevated horror' bonus points + nostalgia bait #anyway. it's fun to think about the potential it had + how all the building blocks exist within the narrative to do something interesting #and i am a 1960s hagsploitation subgenre apologist lol #what ever happened to baby jane? changed my brain chemistry the first time i watched it as a kid #so maybe i'm just nostalgia baiting myself making these connections lmao #but it could have been so good #it could have been the perfect synthesis of the shared themes across all three movies #but i don't think hagsploitation gets butts in movie theater seats like girlboss 80s nostalgia vaguely true crime related shit #oh wait also i guess calling psycho a hagsploitation movie is like. probably not 100% accurate #but it is though. it's not an inversion of the subgenre bc the subgenre didn't exist yet #but it builds up a mystery 'psycho-biddy' character only to reveal that she's not the murderer #which is also what happens in strait-jacket so i think it counts!!#+ psycho is directly referenced in all 3 movies so it’s a pretty clear influence on the trilogy as a whole

The Egg Bois have no one to take orders from after Sir Pentious dies. Then they see Lucifer and immediately follow him around and unlike Alastor who didn't like being tailed by the annoying yappy yokes, Lucifer is enthralled by them because they are like little ducklings forming a line as if Lucifer is their mother

One egg boi, Frank, is the only one that stuck to Alastor, and Al makes it clear he wants him to go away but Frank stays with him. One time when Al was cooking, Frank asked if he could help and Al thought for a moment, grinned, picked up the egg, and plopped him in the boiling pot. Unfortunately, Frank did not hard boil, in fact, he enjoyed the hot bath, and the rest of the egg bois ran inside as Lucifer entered the kitchen and screamed in horror at the display but the rest of the eggs hopped around Al's feet, pulling at his trousers asking to join the bubble bath.

FRANK STAYING WITH ALASTOR IS SO CUTE MY HEART JUST EXLODED

Alastor trying to boil Frank is just fogjwenweln 🤣 I can see that. The fact that it's not working AND Frank's enjoying himself AND the other eggbois want to join in makes it all so much better.

Also, the other eggbois following Lucifer around like ducklings 🥺 that's adorable.
