one of my favorite Percy headcanons is that even after he no longer has the Curse of Achilles, the small of his back is still his Achilles' Heel. It won't kill him but it's still his weakest point.

Like, he hates if anybody even brushes against there unless it's Annabeth because it's too sensitive and it basically physically hurts him. He has to be the little spoon Always because it makes him feel like his back is protected. If anyone hits him in the small of his back even without a lot of force, like a friendly slap on the back, he will crumple like wet paper. His friends poke him in the small of his back just cause every time he will immediately stumble and start complaining at them and they find it funny. If someone actually smacks him in the back with any amount of real force he will be on the ground immediately and stay there. If he gets actually scratched there he will be bedridden for days. The curse may be gone but he will always carry it with him.

I have returned to watching demon slayer after a year and it came up while I was having a serious late night talk with my big sister. I was talking about the relationship between Michikatsu/Kokushibo and Yoriichi and it turns out we both see each other in Yoriichi's shoes and ourselves in Michikatsu's place. Definitely surprising, but really relieving to know that we both worry too much and we are not so far apart in skill as we believe.

This is technically the first piece of fanart I've ever made for the characters in Demon Slayer, I have made OCs before but I never drew an actual character from the story. For context this is mostly just a fun "what if" scenario with them meeting in the afterlife. I like to think Yoriichi's love would reawaken Michikatsu's humanity.

so i started playing danganronpa 2 for myself (rather than watching youtubers play it, which i have done previously). and i was real excited to finally explore some of the nitty gritty details

and i thought to myself oh i wonder if they're gonna make any jokes about soda's name, like i constantly make to myself in my own head. but then i thought oh this game was originally in japanese, i know nothing about the japanese language, maybe the word "soda" isn't the same over there and there won't be as many hilarious soda wordplay jokes as i was hoping, guess i'll just have to wait and see

needless to say i lost my absolute fucking MIND the first time i opened soda's report card

I've been listening to this Flyers broadcast talking about Mitch, and my absolute least favorite talking point when it come to Mitch Marner and his contract is that, regardless of how nice they are about him and how much they talk about how great he is and how much he helps the team, they ALWAYS have to add the caveat that he's had "struggles in the post season", and that's why the Leafs should hold off in signing him.

EVERY PERSON IN THIS CORE GROUP HAS STRUGGLED IN THE POST SEASON! I love Matthews and Nylander and Tavares and Rielly and the other guys who have been around a while, but none of them have a Stanley Cup. It's not like they're all thriving and Mitch is the only one who doesn't produce. They've all had their ups-and-downs in the Playoffs.

Maybe I just didn't pay attention to the past discourse around the other guys, but I feel like this was not as big of a deal when people were talking about extending Matthews or Nylander. The biggest complaint I remember about those two was the price, not the extension itself.

Why is Mitch the only one who needs to prove himself in the post season before he's earned an extension?
